Neural Networks for Optimization Problem with Nonlinear Constraints

Hopfield introduced the neural network for linear program with linear constraints. In this paper, Hopfield neural network has been generalized to solve the optimization problems including nonlinear constraints. Also, it has been discussed the methods hew to reconcile optimization problem with neural networks and how to implement the circuits.
Fast Fuzzy Inference Algorithm for Fuzzy System constructed with Triangular Membership Functions

Almost applications using fuzzy theory are based on the fuzzy inference. However fuzzy inference needs much time in calculation process for the fuzzy system with many input variables or many fuzzy labels defined on each variable. Inference time is dependent on the number of arithmetic Product in computation Process. Especially, the inference time is a primary constraint to fuzzy control applications using microprocessor or PC-based controller. In this paper, a simple fast fuzzy inference algorithm(FFIA), without loss of information, was proposed to reduce the inference time based on the fuzzy system with triangular membership functions in antecedent part of fuzzy rule. The proposed algorithm was induced by using partition of input state space and simple geometrical analysis. By using this scheme, we can take the same effect of the fuzzy rule reduction.
A Possibilistic Based Perceptron Algorithm for Finding Linear Decision Boundaries

The perceptron algorithm, which is one of a class of gradient descent techniques, has been widely used in pattern recognition to determine linear decision boundaries. However, it may not give desirable results when pattern sets are nonlinerly separable. A fuzzy version was developed to male up for the weaknesses in the crisp perceptron algorithm. This was achieved by assigning memberships to the pattern sets. However, still another drawback exists in that the pattern memberships do not consider class typicality of the patterns. Therefore, we propose a possibilistic approach to the crisp perceptron algorithm. This algorithm combines the linearly separable property of the crisp version and the convergence property of the fuzzy version. Several examples are given to show the validity of the method.
A Rule-based Integration of Neural Network Modules based on Cellular Automata for Sensory-Motor Controller

There are some difficulties to construct a sensory-motor controller for an autonomous mobile robot such as coordinating the mechanics and control system parts of the robot, and managing interaction with external environments. In previous research, we evolve the CAM-Brain, neural networks based on cellular automata, to control an autonomous mobile robot. In this paper, we propose the method of combining multi-modules evolved to do simple behavior in order to making more sophisticated behaviors because the controller composed of one neural network module is difficult to make complex behaviors. In experimental results, we can get the controller adapting to more complex environments by combining CAM-Brain modules evolved to do simple behavior by rule-based approach.
Fuzzy Steering Controller for Outdoor Autonomous Mobile Robot using MR sensor

This paper describes a fuzzy steering controller for an outdoor autonomous mobile robot using MR(magneto-resistive) sensor. Using the magnetic field difference values(dBy, dBz) obtained from the MR sensor, we designed fuzzy logic controller for driving the robot on the road center and proposed a method to eliminate the Earth magnetic field. To develop an autonomous mobile robot simulation program, we have done modeling MR sensor, mobile robot and coordinate transformation. A computer simulation of the robot including mobile robot dynamics and steering was used to verify the driving performance of the mobile robot controller using the fuzzy logic. So, we confirmed the robustness of the proposed fuzzy controller by computer simulation.
A Two-Degree-of-Freedom-Controller for DC Motors Using Inverse Dynamics and the Fuzzy Technique

In this paper, a Two-Degree-of-Freedom-Controller(TDFC) for DC motors based on inverse dynamics and the fuzzy technique is presented. The proposed controller includes the inverse dynamic model of a DC motor system, a prefilter and a fuzzy compensator. The model of the system is characterized by a nonlinear equation with coulomb friction. The prefilter eliminates high frequency effects occurring when the inverse dynamic model is implemented. The fuzzy compensator is designed for tracking the change of the reference input and simultaneously regulating the error between the reference input and the system output which can be caused by disturbances. The optimal parameters of both the model and the compensator are identified by a real-coded genetic algorithm. An experimental work on a DC motor system is carried out to verify the performance of the proposed controller.
Mode Truncation Method in Frequency Response Analysis

In the frequency response analysis using a modal method, it is very important to determine the number of modes involved with the formulation of a frequency response function. Most engineers are inclined to determine mode truncation with their experience. But it is difficult for non-experts to decide the mode truncation reasonably in many problems of dynamic analyses. In this study, fuzzy theory is used to standardize the empirical determination of mode truncation so that not only the experts but also non-experts can decide a Proper mode truncation easily. Fuzzy rule base is based on the simulation results using finite element method. Numerical simulations show that the developed mode truncation method is a very effective method to choose the number of the considered modes.

In order to generate hull form, fairness criteria applies to object function, B-spline curve vertices are considered as design variables, optimization is proceeded with satisfying geometric constraint conditions. GA(Genetic Algorithm) and optimality criteria apply to optimization process in this study.

According as many people use a computer newly, damage of computer virus and hacking is rapidly increasing by the crucial users. A computer virus is one of program in computer and has abilities of self reproduction and destruction like a virus of biology. And hacking is to rob a person's data in a intruded computer and to delete data in a Person s computer from the outside. To block hacking that is intrusion of a person's computer and the computer virus that destroys data, a study for intrusion detection of system and virus detection using a biological immune system is in progress. In this paper, we make a model of positive and negative selection for self recognition which have a similar function like T-cytotoxic cell that plays an important role in biological immune system. We embody a self-nonself distinction algorithm in computer, which is an important part when we detect an infected data by computer virus and a modified data by intrusion from the outside. And we showed the validity and effectiveness of the proposed self recognition algorithm by computer simulation about various infected data obtained from the cell change and string change in the self file.
Design of a Controller for a Flexible Manipulator Using Fuzzy Theory and Genetic Algorithm

A position control algorithm for a flexible manipulator is studied. The proposed algorithm is based on a fuzzy theory with a Steady State Genetic Algorithm(SSGA) and an Adaptive Genetic Algorithms(AGA). The proposed controller for a flexible manipulator have decreased 90.8%, 31.8%, 31.3% in error when compared with a conventional fuzzy controller, fuzzy controller using neural network, fuzzy controller using evolution strategies, respectively when the weight and the velocity of end-point are 0.8k9 and 1m/s, respectively.
A Study on the quality estimate function of the program module

In order to offer a service of highly qualified information, software of good quality should be designed and developed. We need the united estimation method because the existing approaches for the quality measurements measure the attributes at the different viewpoint individually. Therefor, this paper Propose the model that handles many methods of measurements. Our model selects the ratio scales and calculates the relative significance of them by using the rough logic. As a next step, the proposed method integrates the significance of scales and the measured value of them based upon the fuzzy integral. Finally, the correlations are analyzed between the existing scales with our measurements and our model is validated through statistical technique.

At present, most Electronic Commerce System is made mainstream of Server-Client Commerce. For searching goods information, we must entering the EC sites and search that s information. but, P2P(Peer to Peer) System being escape traditional structure, Server-Client, it enable information transact between users, and resolve the problem of network, add-cost of server-ensurance, etc. Also, it is possible to trade information between person to person, client to provide. In this paper, we investigate on-going p2p models and study on the p2p based control based system.
A Decentralized Control Technique for Experimental Nonlinear Helicopter Systems

This paper proposes a decentralized control technique for 2-dimensional experimental helicopter systems. The decentralized control technique is especially suitable in large-scale control systems. We derive the stabilization condition for the interconnected Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy system using the rigorous tool-Lyapunov stability criterion and formulate the controller design condition in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI). To demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed method, we include the experiment result as well as a computer simulation one, which strongly convinces us the applicability to the industry.
