Comparison Study for similarities based on Distance Measure and Fuzzy Number

The similarity measure is derived with distance measure, and the proposed similarity measure is proved to verily the usefulness. Conventional similarity measure which is constructed through fuzzy number and Center of Gravity(COG) is introduced, furthermore two similarity measures are compared through various types of membership function.
Design of Optimized Multi-Fuzzy Controllers for Air-Conditioning System with Multi-Evaporators

In this paper, we introduce an approach to design multi-fuzzy controllers for the superheat and the low pressure that have an influence on energy efficiency and stabilization of aft conditioning system. Air conditioning system is composed of compressor, condenser several evaporators and several expansion valves. It is quite difficult to control the air conditioning system because the change of the refrigerant condition give an impact on the overall air conditioning system. In order to solve the drawback, we design multi-fuzzy controllers which control simultaneously both three expansion valve and one compressor for the superheat and the low pressure of air conditioning system. The proposed multi fuzzy controllers are given as two kinds of controller types such as a continuous simplified fuzzy inference type and a discrete fuzzy lookup_table type. Here the scaling factors of each fuzzy controller ate efficiently adjusted by veal coding type Genetic Algorithms. The values of performance index of the conventional type are compared with the simulation results of discrete lookup_table type and continuous simplified inference type.
Human-Friendly Intelligent Hue Control System for Display Unit

Human's sight holds the most extents for recognizing information among other senses. If we make much better visualized environment for human, it will become more beneficial in person's emotion or body. Human is using a lot of display units in modern society. Basic hues ate Red, Green and Blue. Using these three colors, we can change hue sense and degree of brightness of display unit. If we control hue of unit to be suitable according to individual environment, we can feel comfortable or reduce stress. In this paper, we present Human-Friendly Intelligent Hue Control System(HFIHCS) that control hue of display unit using fuzzified factors related to human's emotion and environment. The effectiveness of the proposed system is demonstrated by questionnaire.
Development of an Expert System for Precision Reducer Design of Robot

Among the precision reduction gent drivers lot robot system, the cycloid reducer is well known for it's high performances. Designing this reducer, there are many factors which must be considered. First, a geometrical analysis of tooth shape must be drawn from the basic concept. Second, loads, stresses and modification factors on tooth should be calculated exactly. Finally, a computer software to optimize the design of cycloid tooth needs developing on the basis of the geometric and force equations. In this research, the expert system to design the cycloid reducer was developed using Visual C++ so, the most important factors can be obtained automatically as the user put the simple input data.
Design of Visual Tool for Efficient Descripting of Binary ECG File Formats

In this study, A BED(Binary ECG description) based binary ECG conversion system is that supports the conversion of a binary ECG format into XML-based HL7 aECG for interoperability of ECG. HL7 aECG is a XML based standard lot interoperability of ECG waveform. However, it is difficult for beginners to write the BED document of binary BED conversion system in XML. We implement a BED Studio on the Java Servlet engine that allows beginners to write BED documents more easily. Our system consists of three parts: Visual Editor, Text Editor, and Format Checking Viewer. Format Checking Viewer support users to detect the format errors in the XML files, so-called BED documents, that describe the data format of the targer binary ECG file in the BED-based binary ECG conversion system, so may reduce the format errors in BED documents.
Design of Modified Flooding Algorithm Applicable to Sensor Network

Wireless Ad-Hoc network which doesn't utilize any established infrastructure requires different communication protocols. Among them, Flooding algorithm is generally used in wireless Ad-Hoc network for packet transmission. However, Flooding algorithm has many drawbacks such as energy consumption according to the increase of nodes. Therefore, a modified flooding algorithm which can effectively overcome the aforementioned drawbacks is proposed in this paper. The performance of the proposed scheme is shown by various simulation studies.
An Intelligent Web based e-Learning Multi Agent System

In this paper, we developed an intelligent web based e-learning system based on multi agents. To do development of the system, we applied an inclination test that is based on the education theory to do grouping the desirable e-learning community. The proposed system, Intelligent Web based e-learning Multi Agent System (IMAS), is used the multi agents paradigm including learning manner by neural network for grouping of e-learning community and a new distributed multi agent framework proposed here.
Emotion Recognition Based on Human Gesture

This paper is to present gesture analysis for human-robot interaction. Understanding human emotions through gesture is one of the necessary skills fo the computers to interact intelligently with their human counterparts. Gesture analysis is consisted of several processes such as detecting of hand, extracting feature, and recognizing emotions. For efficient operation we used recognizing a gesture with HMM(Hidden Markov Model). We constructed a large gesture database, with which we verified our method. As a result, our method is successfully included and operated in a mobile system.
Development of Joystick & Speech Recognition Moving Machine Control System

This paper presents the design of intelligent moving machine control system using a real time speech recognition. The proposed moving machine control system is composed of four separated module, which are main control module, speech recognition module, servo motor driving module and sensor module. In main control module with microprocessor(80C196KC), one part of the artificial intelligences, fuzzy logic, was applied to the proposed intelligent control system. In order to improve the non-linear characteristic which depend on an user's weight and variable environment, encoder attached to the servo motors was used for feedback control. The proposed system is tested using 9 words lot control of the mobile robot, and the performance of a mobile robot using voice and joystick command is also evaluated.
Detection Method of Face Rotation Angle for Crosstalk Cancellation

The method of 3D sound realization using 2 speakers provides two advantages: cheap and easy to build. In the case, crosstalk between 2 speakers has to be eliminated. To calculate and remove the effect of the crosstalk it is essential to find a rotation angle of human head correctly. In the paper, we suggest an algorithm to find the head angle of 2 channel system. We first detect a face area of the given image using Haar-like feature. After that, the eve detection using pre-processor and morphology method. Finally, we calculate the face rotation angle with the face andi the eye location. As a result of the experiment on various face images, the proposed method improves the efficiency much better than the conventional methods.
Effective Coordination Method of Multi-Agent Based on Fuzzy Decision Making

To adapt environment changing high speed and improve rapidly response ability for variation of environment and reduce delay time of decision making inlet agents, the derivation of user's preference and alternative are required. In this paper, we propose an efficient coordination method of multi-agents based on fuzzy decision making with the solution proposed by agents in the view of Pareto optimality. Our method generates the optimal alternative by using weighted value. We compute importance of attributes of winner agent, then can obtain the priorities lot attributes. The result of our method is analyzed that of Yager's method.
A Study on High Resolution Reconstruction Algorithms for improving Resolution

In this paper, It propose a new restoration algorithm of high resolution, which is reconstructed to high resolution image using low resolution image informations. The proposed algorithm is constructed based on super resolution theory, it is consisted of progressive steps of the integration and construction. It reduced a lot of data-processing capacity and noise with integration through sub-pixel movement and wavelet basis through a higher resolution. As a result, it is shown that the main information is maintained and the error rate is improved. Using expansion fuzzy wavelet B-spline interpolation in stage of construction, it is confirmed that we can achieve smoothing image and good resolution without blur and block.
Multi Agent System (MAS) Framework for Home Network Application

As home network system begins serving in earnest, the recent fruits of research in home service robot show that the new epoch that human and intelligent robots are living, communicating and interacting together at home, may come true in the near future. In the other hand, it is generally known that the multiagent system, performing distributed process together with other different devices in a home network system, is better than single robot or single home server for adapting themselves to home environment and completing their mission because the characteristic of home environment is 'open'. Therefore, in this paper we suggest the framework model to define agents, which is needed lot the home with a home network system, and the communication protocol architecture between agents. For this, we focus our attention on an agent comprising the set of many agent instances rather than the single intelligent or ability of a robot or home server, and also suggest the way of adaptation for agent systems to their environments and interaction with human in the manner of cooperation and negotiation among agents or agent instances in each agent.
Competitive Generation for Genetic Algorithms

A new operation termed competitive generation in the processes of genetic algorithms is proposed for accelerating the optimization speed of genetic algorithms. The competitive generation devised by considering the competition of sperms for fertilization provides a good opportunity for the genetic algorithms to approach global optimum without falling into local optimum. Experimental results with typical problems showed that the genetic algorithms with competitive generation are superior to those without the competitive generation.
Edge-Based Matching Using Generalized Hough Transform and Chamfer Matching

In this paper, a 2-dimensional edge-based matching algorithm is proposed that combines the generalized Hough transform (GHT) and the Chamfer matching to complement weakness of either method. First, the GHT is used to find approximate object positions and orientations, and then these positions and orientations are used as starling parameter values to find more accurate position and orientation using the Chamfer matching. Finally, matching accuracy is further refined by using a subpixel algorithm. The algorithm was implemented and successfully tested on a number of images containing various electronic components.

Intuitionistic fuzzy interior ideals in ordered semigroup

In this paper, we consider the intuitionistic fuzzification of the notion of a interior ideal in ordered semigroup S, and investigate some properties of such ideals. In terms of intuitionistic fuzzy set, characterizations of intuitionistic fuzzy interior ideals in ordered semigroups are discussed. Using a collection of interior ideals with additional conditions, an intuitionistic fuzzy interiror ideal is constructed. Natural equivalence relations on the set of all intuitionistic fuzzy interior ideals of an ordered semigroup are investigated. We also give a characterization of a intuitionistic fuzzy simple semigroup in terms of intuitionistic fuzzy interior ideals.
Knowledge Conversion between Conceptual Graph Model and Resource Description Framework

On the Semantic Web, the content of the documents must be explicitly represented through metadata in order to enable contents-based inference. In this study, we propose a mechanism to convert the Conceptual Graph (CG) into Resource Description Framework (RDF). Quite a large number or representation languages for representing knowledge on the Web have been established over the last decade. Most of these researches are focused on design of independent knowledge description. On the Semantic Web, however, a knowledge conversion mechanism will be needed to exchange the knowledge used in independent devices. In this study, the CG could give an entire conceptual view of knowledge and RDF can represent that knowledge on the Semantic Web. Then the CG-based object oriented PROLOG could support the natural inference based on that knowledge. Therefore, our proposed knowledge conversion mechanism will be used in the designing of Semantic Web-based knowledge representation and inference systems.
A model reference adaptive fuzzy control for MIMO Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model

In this paper, a direct model reference adaptive fuzzy control (MRAFC) scheme is developed for the plant model whose structure is represented by the MIMO Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model. The MRAFC scheme is proposed to provide asymptotic tracking of a reference signal lot the systems with uncertain or slowly time-varying parameters. The developed control law and adaptive law guarantee that all signals in the closed-loop system are bounded. In addition, the plant state tracks the state of the reference model asymptotically with time tot any bounded reference input signal.
Non-linear Maneuvering Target Tracking Method Using PIP

This paper proposes a new approach on nonlinear maneuvering target tracking. In this paper, proposed algorithm is the Kalman filter based on the adaptive interactive multiple model using the concept of predicted impact point and utilize modified Kalman filter regarding the error between measurement position and predicted impact point. The unknown target acceleration is regarded as an additional process noise to the target model, and each sub-model is characterized in accordance with the valiance of the overall process noise which is obtained on the basis of each acceleration interval. To compensate the decreasing performance of Kalman filter in nonlinear maneuver, we construct optional algorithm to utilize proposed method or Kalman filter selectively. To effectively estimate the acceleration during the target maneuvering, the rapid increase of the noise scale is recognized as the acceleration to be used in maneuvering target's movement equation. And a few examples are presented to show suggested algorithm's executional potential.
