Movement Detection Algorithm Using Virtual Skeleton Model

In this paper, we propose the movement detection algorithm by using virtual skeleton model. To do this, first, we eliminate error values by using conventioanl method based on RGB color model and eliminate unnecessary values by using the HSI color model. Second, we construct the virtual skeleton model with skeleton information of 10 peoples. After matching this virtual model to original image, we extract the real head silhouette by using the proposed circle searching method. Third, we extract the object by using the mean-shift algorithm and this head information. Finally, we validate the applicability of the proposed method through the various experiments in a complex environments.

Recent developments of process and measurement technology bring much interest to the online monitoring of process operations such as milling, grinding, broaching, etc. The objective of online monitoring systems is to detect process changes as early as possible. Teleoperatoin System Control using a Robust State Estimation in Networked Environment

In this paper, we introduce the improved control method are communicated between a master and a slave robot in the teleoperation systems. When the master and slave robots are located in different places, time delay is unavoidable under the network environment and it is well known that the system can become unstable when even a small time delay exists in the communication channel. The time delay may cause instability in teleoperation systems especially if those systems include haptic feedback. This paper presents a control scheme based on the estimator with virtual master model in teleoperation systems over the network. As the behavior of virtual model is tracking the one of master model, the operator can control real master robot by manipulating the virtual robot. And LQG/LTR scheme was adopted for the compensation of un-modeled dynamics. The approach is based on virtual master model, which has been implemented on a robot over the network. Its performance is verified by the computer simulation and the experiment.

As the automobile industry and technologies are developed, driver's tend to more concern about service matters than mechanical matters. For this reason, interests about recognition of human knowledge and emotion to make safe and convenient driving environment for driver are increasing more and more. recognition of human knowledge and emotion are emotion engineering technology which has been studied since the late 1980s to provide people with human-friendly services. Emotion engineering technology analyzes people's emotion through their faces, voices and gestures, so if we use this technology for automobile, we can supply drivels with various kinds of service for each driver's situation and help them drive safely. Furthermore, we can prevent accidents which are caused by careless driving or dozing off while driving by recognizing driver's gestures. the purpose of this paper is to develop a system which can recognize states of driver's emotion and attention for safe driving. First of all, we detect a signals of driver's emotion by using bio-motion signals, sleepiness and attention, and then we build several types of databases. by analyzing this databases, we find some special features about drivers' emotion, sleepiness and attention, and fuse the results through Multi-Modal method so that it is possible to develop the system.

-gain state feedback fuzzy controller design for the time delay nonlinear system represented by Takagi-Sugeno(T-S) fuzzy model. -gain performance. The sufficient conditions are formulated in the format of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The effectiveness of the proposed controller design methonology is finally demonstrated through numerical simulations.
Implementation of RFID-based Information Management System for Bullfights

This paper implements a information management system for a bullfights using RFID technology in which the objects containing electronic tag are automatically identified by using radio frequency wave. The presented system is composed of the information systems for career and train, and the real-time informant system to provide various informations to remote bull breeders and administers. As the first step for implementation, we analyze the requirements for information management systems based on the RFID and suggests design considerations. Based on the analysis, we implement an efficient RFID middleware system for tracking a tag location based on antenna transfer method and managing an intelligent tag information which efficiently manages a bullfight informations in field. And we also implement the web-based integrated management system for managing and providing a bullfight informations. The career management system sequentially recognizes a tags, and the training system concurrently recognizes the man tags.
Unmanned Driving of Robotic Vehicle Using Magnetic Maker

In this paper, unmanned driving of robotic vehicle using magnetic marker is proposed. One of the most important component of autonomous vehicle is to detect the position of a magnetic marker on the road. In order to calculate the precise position of a magnet embedded on the road, the relation of magnetic field and a sensor is analyzed, and a new position sensing system using arrayed magnetic sensor is proposed. Also, the steering control system using a stepping motor is developed for driving by automatic mode as well as manual mode. For the verification of usability, the developed robotic vehicle is tested on magnetic road.
Stock Forecasting using Stock Index Relation and Genetic Algorithm

In this paper, we propose a novel approach predicting the fluctuation of stock index by finding a relation in various stock indexes that are represented by linear combinations. The important points are to select stock indexes related to predicting indexes and to find the proper relations in them. Since it is unattainable to use entire stock indexes relation, we used only data that are closely associated with each other. We used Genetic Algorithm(GA) to find the most suitable stock-index relation. We simulated the investment in years from 2005 to 2007 with each real index. Finally we verified that the investment money increased 230 percents by the proposed method.
A Study on Impact Control of Planar Redundant Manipulator using A Intelligent Control

When the manipulator collides with surroundings, there occurs an impulse. To reduce the impulse, the self motion should maintain the manipulator's position by the minimally effective mass. At this time, we can use the local joint torque minimization algorithm to resolve the redundancy. In this study, to reduce the impulse and damages by the impact between the manipulator and surroundings, new control algorithm for the minimization of the joint torque using the kinetic redundancy and the impact minimization is proposed. It adapts fuzzy logic and genetic algorithm to the conventional local joint torque minimization algorithm. The proposed algorithm is applied to a 3-DOF redundant planar manipulator. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm works well.
A Scheme of Extracting Forward Vehicle Area Using the Acquired Lane and Road Area Information

This paper proposes a new algorithm of extracting forward vehicle areas using the acquired lanes and road area information on road images with complex background to improve the efficiency of the vehicle detection. In the first stage, lanes are detected by taking into account the connectivity among the edges which are determined from a method of chain code. Once the lanes proceeding to the same direction with the running vehicle are detected, neighborhood roadways are found from the width and vanishing point of the acquired roadway of the running vehicle. And finally, vehicle areas, where forward vehicles are located on the road area including the center and neighborhood roadways, are extracted. Therefore, the proposed scheme of extracting forward vehicle area improves the rate of vehicle detection on the road images with complex background, and is highly efficient because of detecting vehicles within the confines of the acquired vehicle area. The superiority of the proposed algorithm is verified from experiments of the vehicle detection on road images with complex background.
Korea e-Government Portal for Next Generation u-City

u-City is a city for users who are in everywhere as well as everytime. Korea e-government portal as a main e-government portal is a gateway for entering Korea e-government, but it has some problems. This portal has to provide a simple interface according to user's needs, but the current system is too complicated so that this system does not provide information retrieval function according to user's needs. So in this paper, we propose an effective strategy and functions of Korea e-government main portal for effective u-City.
Ontology-based Fuzzy Classifier for Pattern Classification

Recently, researches on ontology-based pattern classification have been tried out in many fields. However, in most of the researches, the ontology which represents the knowledge about pattern classification is just referred during the processes of the pattern classification. In this paper, we propose ontology-based fuzzy classifier for pattern classification which is extended from the fuzzy rule-based classifier In order to realize the proposed classifier, we construct an ontology by conceptualizing the method of fuzzy rule-based pattern classification and generate ontology inference rules for pattern classification. Lastly, we show the validity o) the proposed classifier through the experiment of pattern classification on the Fisher's IRIS dataset.
Weighing control of alloy metal for electric arc furnace by fuzzy system

A fuzzy control algorithm is used to weigh alloy metal into electric arc furnace and implemented by using ladder program for programmable logic controller, where weight error and its derivative are used for input variables and vibration amplitude of alloy bin is used for output variable. Proposed fuzzy control algorithm is applied to the plant and results in higher measuring accuracy as well as faster measuring term than conventional on-off control system.
Pattern Analysis of an Evaluation Model on Disaster Management System Using Fuzzy ID3

In this paper, an evaluation model of disaster management system which is developed by using GRI G3 version and BCP process for the sustainability management of small and middle enterprises was proposed. The proposed evaluation model can be used to evaluate the disaster management system directly, and to establish the disaster management system as an index. Also, the rules obtained by pattern analysis using fuzzy ID3 for the proposed evaluation model are expected to use the guideline effectively for self evaluation in the small and middle enterprises.

Fuzzy regression model is used in evaluating relationship between the dependent and independent variables. If linguistic data are obtained, ordinary regression have limitation due to oversimplification of data. In this paper, fuzzy regression model with fuzzy input-output data for estimation of project performance is used.

In this paper, we consider interval probability as a unifying concept for uncertainty and Choquet integrals with resect to a capacity functional. By using interval probability, we will define an interval-valued capacity functional and Choquet integral with respect to an interval-valued capacity functional. Furthermore, we investigate Choquet weak convergence of interval-valued capacity functionals of random sets.
Design of Nonlinear Model Using Type-2 Fuzzy Logic System by Means of C-Means Clustering

This paper deal with uncertainty problem by using Type-2 fuzzy logic set for nonlinear system modeling. We design Type-2 fuzzy logic system in which the antecedent and the consequent part of rules are given as Type-2 fuzzy set and also analyze the performance of the ensuing nonlinear model with uncertainty. Here, the apexes of the antecedent membership functions of rules are decided by C-means clustering algorithm and the apexes of the consequent membership functions of rules are learned by using back-propagation based on gradient decent method. Also, the parameters related to the fuzzy model are optimized by means of particle swarm optimization. The proposed model is demonstrated with the aid of two representative numerical examples, such as mathematical synthetic data set and Mackey-Glass time series data set and also we discuss the approximation as well as generalization abilities for the model.
Comparative Study on the Selection Algorithm of CLINAID using Fuzzy Relational Products

The Diagnostic Unit of CLINAID can infer working diagnoses for general diseases from the information provided by a user. This user-provided information in the form of signs and symptoms, however, is usually not sufficient to make a final decision on a working diagnosis. In order for the Diagnostic Unit to reach a diagnostic conclusion, it needs to select suitable clinical investigations for the patients. Because different investigations can be selected for the same patient, we need a process that can optimize the selection procedure employed by the Diagnostic Unit. This process, called a selection algorithm, must work with the fuzzy relational method because CLINAID uses fuzzy relational structures extensively for its knowledge bases and inference mechanism. In this paper we present steps of the selection algorithm along with simulation results on this algorithm using fuzzy relational products, both harsh product and mean product. The computation results of applying several different fuzzy implication operators are compared and analyzed.

This paper propose a advanced technique for exciting and receiving the guided torsional wave to detect flaws in pipe systems. There are some difficulties in selecting and exciting of modes by using the nickel strip attached on pipe systems, such as qualification of residual magnetic field and multi-exciting of the unwanted modes etc. In order to there difficulties we propose the new sensor, so called Crossed-coils sensor. We will prove that it is possible to select the modes to be excited and to find a optimal excitation condition for torsional mode by using the proposed sensor.
Vehicle-Tracking with Distorted Measurement via Fuzzy Interacting Multiple Model

In this paper, a new filtering scheme for vehicle tracking with distorted measurement is presented. This filtering scheme is essential for the implementation of the adaptive cruise control (ACC) system. The proposed method combines the IMM and the probabilistic fuzzy model and is named as the Fuzzy IMM (FIMM). The IMM is employed to recognize the intention of the preceding vehicle. The probabilistic furry model is introduced to compensate the distortion of the range sensor. Finally, a computer simulation is performed to illustrate the validity of the suggested algorithms.
Feature Selection for Multiple K-Nearest Neighbor classifiers using GAVaPS

This paper deals with the feature selection for multiple k-nearest neighbor (k-NN) classifiers using Genetic Algorithm with Varying reputation Size (GAVaPS). Because we use multiple k-NN classifiers, the feature selection problem for them is vary hard and has large search region. To solve this problem, we employ the GAVaPS which outperforms comparison with simple genetic algorithm (SGA). Further, we propose the efficient combining method for multiple k-NN classifiers using GAVaPS. Experiments are performed to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method.
An Outlier Data Analysis using Support Vector Regression

Outliers are the observations which are very larger or smaller than most observations in the given data set. These are shown by some sources. The result of the analysis with outliers may be depended on them. In general, we do data analysis after removing outliers. But, in data mining applications such as fraud detection and intrusion detection, outliers are included in training data because they have crucial information. In regression models, simple and multiple regression models need to eliminate outliers from given training data by standadized and studentized residuals to construct good model. In this paper, we use support vector regression(SVR) based on statistical teaming theory to analyze data with outliers in regression. We verify the improved performance of our work by the experiment using synthetic data sets.
