Stability Analysis and Stabilization for Neutral Networked Control System

This paper focuses on the stability analysis and stabilization for networked control system with neutral type of time-delay. By utilizing the delay partitioning idea, new stability criteria are proposed in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs). These conditions are developed based on the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals. Based on the derived criteria, a sufficient condition for te solvability of this problem is obtained in terms of linear matrix inequality without decomposing the original system matrices. Also, it is shown that the proposed controller design method is general for networked control systems. Finally, illustrative examples are presented to show the applicability of the proposed method.
Fuzzy discretization with spatial distribution of data and Its application to feature selection

In clinical data minig, choosing the optimal subset of features is such important, not only to reduce the computational complexity but also to improve the usefulness of the model constructed from the given data. Moreover the threshold values (i.e., cut-off points) of selected features are used in a clinical decision criteria of experts for differential diagnosis of diseases. In this paper, we propose a fuzzy discretization approach, which is evaluated by measuring the degree of separation of redundant attribute values in overlapping region, based on spatial distribution of data with continuous attributes. The weighted average of the redundant attribute values is then used to determine the threshold value for each feature and rough set theory is utilized to select a subset of relevant features from the overall features. To verify the validity of the proposed method, we compared experimental results, which applied to classification problem using 668 patients with a chief complaint of dyspnea, based on three discretization methods (i.e., equal-width, equal-frequency, and entropy-based) and proposed discretization method. From the experimental results, we confirm that the discretization methods with fuzzy partition give better results in two evaluation measures, average classification accuracy and G-mean, than those with hard partition.
Data Anonymity Decision

The research of the preserving privacy of sensitive information has been popular recently. Many researches about the techniques of generalizing records under k-anonymity rules have been done. Considering that data anonymity requires a lot of time and resources, it would be important to decide whether a table is vulnerable to privacy attacks before being opened in terms of the improvement of data utilization as well as the privacy protection. It is also important to check to which attack the table is vulnerable and which of anonymity methods should be applied in the table. This paper describe two possible privacy attacks based upon related references. Also, we suggest the technique to check whether data table is vulnerable to any attack of them and describe what kind of anonymity methods should be done in the table. The technique we suggest in this paper can also be applied for checking the safety of anonymity tables in which insert or delete operations occurred as well from privacy attacks.
A Study on the Control Algorithm for Active Walking Aids by Using Torque Estimation

This paper presents the control algorithm of active walking aids estimating external torque of the wheels from user's will. Nowadays, interest of the walking aids is increased according to the increase in population of elder and handicapped person. Although many walking aids are developed, most of walking aids don't have any actuators for its movement. However, general walking aids have weakness for its movement to upward/download direction of slope. To overcome the weakness of the general walking aids, many researches for active type walking aids are being progressed. Unfortunately it is difficult to precision control of walking will during its movement, because it is not easy to recognize user's walking will. Many kinds of methods are proposed to recognize of user's walking will. In this paper, we propose control algorithm of walking aids by using torque estimation from wheels. First, we measure wheel velocity and voltage at the walking aids. From these data, external forces are extracted. And then walking will that is included by walking velocity and direction is estimated. Finally, walking aids are controlled by these data. Here, all the processes are verified by simulation.
A Collaborative Filtering-based Recommendation System with Relative Classification and Estimation Revision based on Time

In the recommendation system that recommends services to a specific user by using the estimation value of other users for users' recommendation service, collaborative filtering methods are widely used. But such recommendation systems have problems that exact classification is not possible because a specific user is classified to already classified group in the course of clustering and inexact result can be recommended in case of big errors in users' estimation values. In this paper, in order to increase estimation accuracy, the researchers suggest a recommendation system that applies collaborative filtering after reclassifying on the basis of a specific user's classification items and then finding and correcting the estimation values of the users beyond the critical value of time. This system uses a method where a specific user is not classified to already classified group in the course of clustering but a group is reorganized on the basis of the specific user. In addition, the researchers correct estimation information by cutting off the subordinate 10% from the trimmed mean of samples and then applies weight over time to the remaining data. As the result of an experiment, the suggested method demonstrated about 14.9%'s more accurate estimation result in case of using MAE than general collaborative filtering method.

Recently, the necessity of the autonomous mobile robot is emphasized in order to enlarge the scope of activity and actively cope with the change of work environment. This paper proposes the algorithm which enables the mobile robot to avoid obstacles and lead it to the destination by the shortest path. And we verify the usability by a simulation. We made the algorithm with micro-GA and
-geometry MRA. The area of simulation is limited to 320(width)
200(length) pixels and one pixel is one centimeter. When we planned the path with only
-geometry MRA, we could find the direction for path planning but could not find the shortest path. But when we planned the path with
-geometry MRA and micro-GA, we could find the shortest path. So the algorithm enables us to find the direction for path planning and the shortest path.
A Syllable Kernel based Sentiment Classification for Movie Reviews

In this paper, we present an automatic sentiment classification method for on-line movie reviews that do not contain explicit sentiment rating scores. For the sentiment polarity classification, positive or negative, we use a Support Vector Machine classifier based on syllable kernel that is an extended model of string kernel. We give some experimental results which show that proposed syllable kernel model can be effectively used in sentiment classification tasks for on-line movie reviews that usually contain a lot of grammatical errors such as spacing or spelling errors.
Implementation of Speech Recognition Filtering at Emergency

Generally, the mal factor for speech recognition is the background noise in speech recognition. The noise is the reason to reduce the speech recognition performance. Owing to the fact, the place to recognize is very important. To improve the recognition performance from the sound having noise, we implemented the noise filtered Wiener filter at the signal process step which adopted the FIR filter. In FIR filter, it deal with the filtered speech signal which is appropriate frequency range of human speech frequency range. Therefore, we make the recognition system distinguish between noise and speech sound from the incoming speech signal.

This paper deals with a nonlinear fuzzy
filter design for SOC(state of charge) estimation in Lithium polymer battery. The dynamic equation of the battery cell is modeled as a T-S fuzzy system and the filter is designed via solutions of linear matrix inequalities. In order to illustrate the performance of the designed filter, a computer simulation is performed using the experimental data with the UDDS(urban dynamometer driving schedule) current profile.

This paper deals with the robust stability analysis of STATCOM (Static Synchronous Compensator) power system for power quality enhancement and power system stability. The STATCOM plays an important role in controlling the reactive power flow to the power network and hence the system voltage fluctuations and stability. The control areas of this plant are very large and the overall composition of the system is nonlinear. Also, STATCOM is influence of the uncertainties so that it is necessary to apply the new control technique. For solving these problems, we perform the fuzzy modeling and robust analysis for STATCOM system.

The study of information fusion technology, which merges various types of data to recognize a situation more exactly, has begun in the area of national defense. Recently, the concept of information fusion is getting applied to other fields, and we are interested in maritime safety. In navigation, officers receive data about inside and outside of ship from several devices in bridge, and use it to recognize and predict the safety situation. However, too much and fast updated data might even fatigue mates, and there is the problem of inconsistency among data from several types of devices. This paper introduce how can use information fusion technology for the situation awareness and prediction of navigation safety, and show the realization possibility of Intelligent Navigation Safety Information System through an information fusion example in a specific situation scenario.
Graph Visualization Using Genetic Algorithms of Preserving Distances between Vertices and Minimizing Edge Intersections

In this paper, we deal with the visualization of graphs, which are one of the most important data structures. As the size of a graph increases, it becomes more difficult to check the graph visually because of the increase of edge intersections. We propose a new method of overcoming such problem. Most of previous studies considered only the minimization of edge intersections, but we additionally pursue to preserve distances between vertices. We present a novel genetic algorithm using an evaluation function based on a weighted sum of two objectives. Our experiments could show effective visualization results.
Design of Nonlinear Controller for Variable Speed Wind Turbines based on Kalman Filter and Artificial Neural Network

As the wind has become one of the fastest growing renewable energy sources, the key issue of wind energy conversion systems is how to efficiently operate the wind turbines in a wide range of wind speeds. Compared to fixed speed turbines, variable speed wind turbines feature higher energy yields, lower component stress and fewer grid connection power peaks. Generally, measurement of wind speed is required for the control of variable speed wind turbine system. However, wind speed measured by anemometers is not accurate owing to various reasons. In this work, a new control algorithm for variable speed wind turbine system based on Kalman filter which can be used for the estimation of wind speed and artificial neural network which can generate optimum rotor speed is proposed. Also, to verify the feasibility of the proposed scheme, various simulation studies are carried out by using Simulink in Matlab.
A Basic Study on the System of Converting Color Image into Sound

This paper aims for developing the intelligent robot emulating human synesthetic skills which associate a color image with sound, so that we are able to build an application system based on the principle of mutual conversion between color image and sound. As the first step, in this study, we have tried to realize a basic system using the color image to sound conversion. This study describes a new conversion method to convert color image into sound, based on the likelihood in the physical frequency information between light and sound. In addition, we present the method of converting color image into sound using color model conversion as well as histograms in the converted color model. In the basis of the method proposed in this study, we built a basic system using Microsoft Visual C++(ver. 6.0). The simulation results revealed that the hue, saturation and intensity elements of a input color image were converted into F0, harmonic and octave elements of a sound, respectively. The converted sound elements were synthesized to generate a sound source with WAV file format using Csound toolkit.

In this paper, we introduce the concept of fuzzy r-generalized almost continuous mapping and obtain some characterizations of such a mapping. In particular, we investigate characterizations for the fuzzy r-generalized almost continuity by using the concept of fuzzy r-generalized regular open sets.
Design of a Korean Character Vehicle License Plate Recognition System

Recognizing a license plate of a vehicle has widely been issued. In this thesis, firstly, mean shift algorithm is used to filter and segment a color vehicle image in order to get candidate regions. These candidate regions are then analyzed and classified in order to decide whether a candidate region contains a license plate. We then present an approach to recognize a vehicle's license plate using the Fuzzy ARTMAP neural network, a relatively new architecture of the neural network family. We show that the proposed system is well to recognize the license plate and shows some compute simulations.
An Evaluation Model of Corporate Culture Using Fuzzy System

This paper suggests an evaluation method through corporate culture's evaluation model considering the relationship and affection between types and elements of corporate culture. 314 data obtained from the members of small and medium enterprises analyzed the relationship by the correlation analysis, and the degree affecting rate the corporate culture types by the regression analysis. Finally, fuzzy system was used to analyze the evaluation model of the corporate culture type. The evaluation model of the corporate culture types in this paper is mixed possibility and necessity sides and showed the usefulness through reviewing the model which has an identification problem of the fuzzy system estimated fuzzy relation matrix for corporate culture types using the model.
Pattern Analysis of Core Competency of CEO Using Fuzzy ID3

A few small and medium enterprise administer its organization systematically, but most of them is affected by ability and level of a CEO rather than organization system. In this viewpoint, it can be said the study on ability and level of CEO in small and medium enterprise are so meaningful. Thus, in this paper, the core competency of CEO is obtained from the CEO through questionnaire and it is suggested the evaluation model of the CEO core competency. Also patterns were analyzed by ID3 and fuzzy ID3 from data on expert appraise for CEO core competency and level. The 'if-then' fuzzy rules and decision tree created by results of pattern analysis showed their usefulness for evaluation of CEO core competency in small and medium enterprise.
Multi-thresholds Selection Based on Plane Curves

The plane curve approach which was proposed by Boukharouba et. al. is a multi-threshold selection method through searching peak-valley based on histogram cumulative distribution function. However the method is required to select parameters to compose plane curve, and the shape of plane curve is affected according to parameters. Therefore detection of peak-valley is effected by parameters. In this paper, we propose an entropy maximizing-based method to select optimal plane curve parameters, and propose a multi-thresholding method based on the selected parameters. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated by multi-thresholding experiments on various images and comparison with other conventional thresholding methods based on histogram.
An approach based on the LOWHM and induced LOWHM operators to group decision making under linguistic information

In this paper, we propose an induced linguistic ordered weighted harmonic mean(ILOWHM) operator. The ILOWHM operator is more general type of aggregation operator, which is based on the LHM and LOWHM operators. Based on the LOWHM and ILOWHM operator, we develop an approach to group decision making with linguistic preference relations. Finally, an application of the approach to group decision making problem with linguistic preference relations is pointed out.

In this paper, we introduce the notions of inconsistency p-measure, consistency p-measure and fuzziness p-measure. We discuss various properties of them. We investigate the degree of inconsistency and roughness p-measure in a decision table.
Mutual Localization of swarm robot using Particle Filter

In this paper, we discuss problem in circle formation enclosing target which moves. It is method about enclosed invader in circle formation based on mutual localization of swarm robot without infrastructure. Therefore, use trilateration that do not need to know the value of the coordinates of reference points. So, Specify enclosed point for the number of robots base on between the relative position of the robot in the coordinate system. And particle filter is proposed to improve the accuracy of the location.
The Design and Implementation of the Position Calibration System Using Sensor on u-WBAN

Chronic pain and herniated disk is a common disease that 80% of adults are experienced. There diseases rates of caused by the physical shock, such as the traffic accident, and the accidental fall is about 10%. And the most of these diseases is caused by having habitual incorrect position. People know that incorrect position would cause to accumulate continuous stress, but it is not easy to correct position. Because it does not recognize incorrect position repeated habitual consequently. This system collects data of user position after sensors that could measure position attach on use and presumes correct position used by position presumption algorithms. Its system purpose is continuing incorrect position could be aware to user and lead to change to correct position to prevent habituation of incorrect position. If habitual of correct position continues through accurate measurement and repeating cognitive learning, it would help for children and chronic patience.
