As the spread of smart devices that service variety of content, limited mobile terminal channel assignment problem has intensified. In the channel assignment in mobile networks mobile switching center at the request belongs to each base station allocates the channel to the mobile station. This effectively allocate the limited channels of various methods have been proposed for, in this case a hybrid channel allocation using genetic algorithms UHGA (Universal Hybrid Channel Assignment using Genetic Algorithm) in rural areas or urban areas, such as universal network applied to a variety of environments that the efficiency is verified through simulation.
Adaptive Output-feedback Neural Control of uncertain pure-feedback nonlinear systems

Based on the state-feedback adaptive neuro-control algorithm for a SISO nonaffine pure-feedback nonlinear system proposed in , an output-feedback controller is proposed in this paper. The output-feedback adaptive neural-net controller for the considered nonlinear system has not been previously proposed in any other literatures yet. The proposed output-feedback controller inherits all the advantages of  such that it does not adopt backstepping and this results in relatively simple control and adapting laws. Only one neural network is required for the proposed adaptive controller. The proposed neural-net control scheme expands the applicable class of nonlinear systems.
A Development of Thin Client based Video Guide Service Using Video Virtualization and WebRTC

In this paper, we have developed the application of a remote multi-lingual video guide that allows interaction with Set Top Box of a thin client by using the WebRTC, an web browser-based communication method. A server accesses a web camera in conjunction with digital information display of a thin client connected remotely and is exchanged guide information with user. This server can be played in thin client STB using virtualization based the high-quality video compression technology. Further, it is not dependent on the performance of the STB and provides a video guide remotely.
Minimization Method of Measurement Noise for Satellite Clock Anomaly Detection

In order to detect and identify the GPS clock anomaly in the Differential GPS real environment, this paper addresses a method for minimizing the measurement noise of reference receivers. It estimates the real measurement noise that removed the uncommon error source from pseudorange measurement to minimize the measurement noise. Based on the output of two reference receivers, it first removes the uncommon errors, then optimizes the measurement noise by applying the correction data. Finally, it detects and identifies the satellite clock anomaly using the minimized measurement noise. The method will increase the availability of current DGPS reference system.
Design of Linear Induction Machine Drive and Robust Position Controller based on Integral Variable Structure Scheme for Automatic Picking System

To implement an automatic picking system (APS) in distribution center with high precision and high dynamics, this paper presents a design of a linear induction motor (LIM) drive and robust position controller based on integral variable structure control (IVSC) scheme. The force disturbance as well as the mechanical parameter variation such as the mass and friction coefficient gives a direct influence on the position control performance of APS. To guarantee a robust control performance in the presence of such uncertainty, a robust position controller is designed. A Simulink library is developed for the LIM model from the state equation. Through this model and comparative simulation based on Matlab - Simulink, it is proved that the proposed scheme has a robust control nature and is most suitable for APS.
ECG Signal Compression based on Adaptive Multi-level Code

ECG signal has the feature that is repeated in a cycle of P, Q, R, S, and T waves and is sampled at a high sampling frequency in general. By using the feature of periodic ECG signals, maximizing compression efficiency while minimizing the loss of important information for diagnosis is required. However, the periodic characteristics of such amplitude and period is not constant by measuring time and patients. Even though measured at the same time, the patient's characteristics display different periodic intervals. In this paper, an adaptive multi-level coding is provided by coding adaptively the dominant and non-dominant signal interval of the ECG signal. The proposed method can maximize the compression efficiency by using a multi-level code that applies different compression ratios considering information loss associated with the dominant signal intervals and non-dominant signal intervals. For the case of long time measurement, this method has a merit of maximizing compression ratio compared with existing compression methods that do not use the periodicity of the ECG signal and for the lossless compression coding of non-dominant signal intervals, the method has an advantage that can be stored without loss of information. The effectiveness of the ECG signal compression is proved throughout the experiment on ECG signal of MIT-BIH arrhythmia database.
A Relative Depth Estimation Algorithm Using Focus Measure

Depth estimation is an essential factor for robot vision, 3D scene modeling, and motion control. The depth estimation method is based on focusing values calculated in a series of images by a single camera at different distance between lens and object. In this paper, we proposed a relative depth estimation method using focus measure. The proposed method is implemented by focus value calculated for each image obtained at different lens position and then depth is finally estimated by considering relative distance of two patterns. We performed various experiments on the effective focus measures for depth estimation by using various patterns and their usefulness.

The damage caused by Recent frequently occurring locality torrential rains is increasing rapidly. In case of densely populated metropolitan area, casualties and property damage is a serious due to landslides and debris flows and floods. Therefore, the importance of predictions about the torrential is increasing. Precipitation characteristic of the bad weather in Korea is divided into typhoons and torrential rains. This seems to vary depending on the duration and area. Rainfall is difficult to predict because regional precipitation is large volatility and nonlinear. In this paper, Very short-term precipitation forecasting pattern model is implemented using KLAPS data used by Korea Meteorological Administration. we designed very short term precipitation forecasting pattern model using GA-based RBFNNs. the structural and parametric values such as the number of Inputs, polynomial type,number of fcm cluster, and fuzzification coefficient are optimized by GA optimization algorithm.
Design of Three-dimensional Face Recognition System Using Optimized PRBFNNs and PCA : Comparative Analysis of Evolutionary Algorithms

In this paper, we was designed three-dimensional face recognition algorithm using polynomial based RBFNNs and proposed method to calculate the recognition performance. In case of two-dimensional face recognition, the recognition performance is reduced by the external environment like facial pose and lighting. In order to compensate for these shortcomings, we perform face recognition by obtaining three-dimensional images. obtain face image using three-dimension scanner before the face recognition and obtain the front facial form using pose-compensation. And the depth value of the face is extracting using Point Signature method. The extracted data as high-dimensional data may cause problems in accompany the training and recognition. so use dimension reduction data using PCA algorithm. accompany parameter optimization using optimization algorithm for effective training. Each recognition performance confirm using PSO, DE, GA algorithm.
A Study on Chaff Echo Detection using AdaBoost Algorithm and Radar Data

In pattern recognition field, data classification is an essential process for extracting meaningful information from data. Adaptive boosting algorithm, known as AdaBoost algorithm, is a kind of improved boosting algorithm for applying to real data analysis. It consists of weak classifiers, such as random guessing or random forest, which performance is slightly more than 50% and weights for combining the classifiers. And a strong classifier is created with the weak classifiers and the weights. In this paper, a research is performed using AdaBoost algorithm for detecting chaff echo which has similar characteristics to precipitation echo and interrupts weather forecasting. The entire process for implementing chaff echo classifier starts spatial and temporal clustering based on similarity with weather radar data. With them, learning data set is prepared that separated chaff echo and non-chaff echo, and the AdaBoost classifier is generated as a result. For verifying the classifier, actual chaff echo appearance case is applied, and it is confirmed that the classifier can distinguish chaff echo efficiently.
Part-based Hand Detection Using HOG

In intelligent robot research, hand gesture recognition has been an important issue. And techniques that recognize simple gestures are commercialized in smart phone, smart TV for swiping screen or volume control. For gesture recognition, robust hand detection is important and necessary but it is challenging because hand shape is complex and hard to be detected in cluttered background, variant illumination. In this paper, we propose efficient hand detection algorithm for detecting pointing hand for recognition of place where user pointed. To minimize false detections, ROIs are generated within the compact search region using skin color detection result. The ROIs are verified by HOG-SVM and pointing direction is computed by both detection results of head-shoulder and hand. In experiment, it is shown that proposed method shows good performance for hand detection.
Dynamic States Consideration for Next Hop Nodes Selection Method to Improve Energy Efficiency in LEAP based Wireless Sensor Networks

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) contain limited energy resources and are left in open environments. Since these sensor nodes are self-operated, attacks such as sinkhole attacks are possible as they can be compromised by an adversary. The sinkhole attack may cause to change initially constructed routing paths, and capture of significant information at the compromised node. A localized encryption and authentication protocol (LEAP) has been proposed to authenticate packets and node states by using four types of keys against the sinkhole attack. Even though this novel approach can securely transmits the packets to a base station, the packets are forwarded along the constructed paths without checking the next hop node states. In this paper, we propose the next hop node selection method to cater this problem. Our proposed method evaluates the next hop node considering three factors (i.e., remaining energy level, number of shared keys, and number of filtered false packets). When the suitability criterion for next hop node selection is satisfied against a fix threshold value, the packet is forwarded to the next hop node. We aim to enhance energy efficiency and a detour of attacked areas to be effectively selected Experimental results demonstrate validity of the proposed method with up to 6% energy saving against the sinkhole attack as compared to the LEAP.
A Study on Human-Robot Interface based on Imitative Learning using Computational Model of Mirror Neuron System

The mirror neuron regions which are distributed in cortical area handled a functionality of intention recognition on the basis of imitative learning of an observed action which is acquired from visual-information of a goal-directed action. In this paper an automated intention recognition system is proposed by applying computational model of mirror neuron system to the human-robot interaction system. The computational model of mirror neuron system is designed by using dynamic neural networks which have model input which includes sequential feature vector set from the behaviors from the target object and actor and produce results as a form of motor data which can be used to perform the corresponding intentional action through the imitative learning and estimation procedures of the proposed computational model. The intention recognition framework is designed by a system which has a model input from KINECT sensor and has a model output by calculating the corresponding motor data within a virtual robot simulation environment on the basis of intention-related scenario with the limited experimental space and specified target object.
Message Delivery and Energy Consumption Analysis on Pocket Switched Network Routing Protocols

Despite the development of the Internet, both in terms of technology and coverage, there are still remote areas and scenarios where connectivity is very difficult to achieve. Pocket Switched Network is a network paradigm that takes the advantage of human mobility to disseminate data. Factors such as mobility of nodes, link failures, discharged batteries, are among the challenges that may compromise connectivity in these networks. This paper presents a performance analysis of existing routing schemes for PSN in terms of delivery probability, overhead ratio, average latency and average residual energy when the number of nodes is increased. We seek to identify a scheme that maximizes data delivery while minimizing communication overhead and thus extending the network lifetime.
State-of-the-art IVEF Service based on e-Navigation System

In this paper, the state-of-the-art IVEF Service based on e-Navigation System was represented. The unification of the data exchange format among maritime-related systems is one of vital user-needs of e-Navigation, advantageous in bringing maritime safety and security. This paper propose the method to exchange marine information in IVEF, as recommended by the IALA, between VTS centers and Korea's GICOMS as well as the government-related agencies. To achieve this, a system data flow was designed which it acts as client and server. It enables the sending and receiving of Radar and CCTV images in accordance with the IVEF recommendation document of IALA.
