Adaptive Automata using Symbolic Multi-Valued Logic Function

In this paper, we construct the state table of the automata according to input, state, and change of state and transform that state table into symbolic multi-valued logic formula. Also, we propose an adaptive automata which adapts dynamically change of state aqording to the input string of automata by using the properties of derivative about the symbolic multi-valued logic function. And we analyze the properties of the adaptive automata.
Design and Implementation of the Reuse-Easiness Measurement System Using Fuzzy Logic

Software reuse is a method which increases the productivity of software, nevertheless software reuse is not employed well in real world. One of the important factors occured this proplem is insufficinet inforamtion in understanding and adapting the existing components. Understanding and adapting of components can be measured emplying user's experience and the attributes which the existing programs provide. Especially user's experience is very important attribute in understanding and adapting components, and it can't be measured by simple metrics. We propose in this paper, the reuse-easingess measurement system using fuzzy logic. This system can provide information regarding reusing components by reflecting user's experience from user's point of view, and can reduce the reuse effort signinificantly.
Decomposition of T-generalized State Machines

In this paper we introduce the notions of T-generalized state machines and primary submachines of T-generalized state machines and obtain a decomposition theorem for T-generalized state machine in terms of primary submachines.
Relation between Multidimensional Linear Interpolation and Fuzzy Reasoning

This paper examines the relation between multidimensional linear interpolation(MDI) and fuzzy reasoning, and shows that an MDI is a special form of Tsukamoto's fuzzy reasoning. From this result, we found new possibility of defuzzification strategy.

An Adaptive Learning Method of Fuzzy Hypercubes using a Neural Network

The objective of this paper is to develop an adaptive learning method for fuzzy hypercubes using a neural network. An intelligent control system is proposed by exploiting only the merits of a fuzzy logic controller and a neural network, assuming that we can modify in real time the consequential parts of the rulebase with adaptive learning, and that initial fuzzy control rules are established in a temporarily stable region. We choose the structure of fuzzy hypercubes for the fuzzy controller, and utilize the Perceptron learning rule in order to upda1.e the fuzzy control ru1c:s on-line with the output errors. As a result, the effectiveness and the robustness of this intelligent controller are shown with application of the proposed adaptive fuzzy-neuro controller to control of the cart-pole system.
A Method of consciousness Structure Analysis Using Analytic Hierarchy Process

This paper deals with consciousn~s structure by means of human subjective judgement. Fuzzy structural modeling which is a modeling method for consciousness structure have the large number of pairwise comparigon by human subjective judgement, is difficplt to check the consistency index which denotes the precision for human judgement. To improve these points, we set the structure of consciousness by fuzzy structural modeling method using the concept of pairwise compariqon matrix in AHP. The efficiency of this method is showed by means of the consciousness structure graph to the qyality system construction.
Position Control and Stabilization of Inverted Pendulum using the Evolution Strategies

This paper presents stabilization and position control of the Inverted-Pendulum system with cart by using Evolution Strategies that is one of the Evolutionary Computation and is effective in searching real number. The control input of the Inverted-Pendulum is the element of chromosome corresponding to the divided space of Inverted-Pendulum state variable x, x, 0, 0 . In general, the larger the length of the chromosome is, the longer the time of evolution to search optimal solution is. So in this paper, we propose a scheme that reduce the state space by half by taking the method, that is, converting only the sign of the control input without obtaining separately for the symmetrical sections of the Inverted-Pendulum to improve the speed of Evolution, and improved the efficiency of the entire system in addition to the improvement of the chromosome's evolution time by carrying out the chromosome's evolutional process by two steps one of which is that cart is positioned near the control point and the other cart is positioned far from that point. We propose another method that is Neural Network-Evolution StrategiedNN-ES) Controller. We verify the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme by computer simulations.
An Optimal COA Defuzzifier for a Fuzzy Logic controller

This paper proposes an optimal COA(Center Of Area) defuzzification method that improves the contr~lp erformance of a fuzzy logic controller. The defuzzification method incorporates both the membership values and the effective span of membership function6 in calculating a crisp value. An optimal effective span is determined automatically by the genetic algorithm thrqugh the training of some typical examples. Simulation of the proposed COA defuzzifier to the truck backer-upper control problem is presented and the control performance of the praposed COA defuzzifier outperforms that of the conventional COA defuzzifier by more than 20% in terms of ayerage tracing distance.
Moving Vehicle Tracking using Fuzzy Clustering

Due to I:he rapid increase of vehicles and poor availability of roads, traffic congestion problem is about to explode. To solve this problem, we need real time information about traffic flow to control traffic signals dynamically. Until now loop coil is the most prevalent sensor used for obtaining traffic flow information. However, it is not able to track individual vehicles which is essential in estimating the average vehicle speed. As a result, image sensors started to find their role in this problem domain. Several systems based on image sensors were proposed which assumes either gray level or color image sequence. In this paper, we propose moving vehicle tracking method based on fizzy clustering assuming a wlor image sequenc.
