A-Study on The Heat Transfer Performance of Evaporator Heat Transfer Tube for Absorption Chiller

The objectives of this paper are to measure the heat transfer and pressure drop of the heat transfer tube for an evaporator of absorption system applications. Five types of heat transfer tubes with different shape and heat transfer area are tested in the present experiment. Heat transfer and pressure drop performance of heat transfer tubes are measured in various operating conditions, and compared each other. The results show that the heat transfer coefficient of thermoexcel notch tube increases about 79.6% and 45.3% at the film Reynolds number 69.7 compared with that of bare tube and low fin tube, respectively. The thermoexcel notch tube is show the best performance considering pressure drop and heat transfer coefficient.
An Experimental Study on the Performance Characteristics of a Multi Type Refrigerator Using R600a

Various types of refrigerators become popular in the market such as a common refrigerator, kimchi refrigerator and wine cellar. It is required to develop a multi type refrigerator combining these refrigerators to save space and energy consumption. In this study, the performance of a multi type refrigerator, which consists of one machine room and three evaporators, was measured in a bench type multi refrigerator. The multi type refrigerator was tested by varying the number of refrigerator cabinet, refrigerant charge, and temperature conditions. In addition, the multi type refrigerator with a suction line heat exchanger(SLHX) was tested to improve system performance. Based on the experimental data, the multi type refrigerator showed better performance than the conventional refrigerator(single type system). Besides, the COP of the single system increased from 1.0 to 1.37, and those of the dual and triple system increased from 1.29 to 1.39, and 1.22 to 1.51, respectively, by applying the SLHX.
A Study on Initial Control Performance of the Adsorption Protector for Construction Surface about Contaminant

In a domestic construction field, floor surface must be covered not to be scratched and polluted by protector until resident comes in. However this protector restricts the contaminant to leave from floor surface. So when the protector is removed, much contaminant is emitted from the floor surface to inside and makes a bad influence on the indoor air quality, In this research, it will be tested the reduction performance of contaminant between a normal protector and a contaminant absorption protector using charcoal powder.
A Study on Performance of Thermo-Humidity Indicator Card for Measuring Thermo-Humidity of Work Surface

In finishing work, defects are often taken place by many factors. One of them is the thermo-humidity condition on the work surface as coating and anointing adhesives. Thus, the condition of thermo-humidity on work surface should be checked prior to the finishing work. However, many construction companies show a tendency to overlook it because not only are measurement tools so expensive but they don't have skilled hands about those tools. Therefore, we propose the measurement method that makes it easy to recognize surface thermo-humidity condition so as to reduce constructional flaws. And then we test this product. The test progresses to four stages with various conditions. We evaluate its usefulness and application possibility of this product in the field.

Cost Estimating of Electricity and Steam on a Gas-Turbine Cogeneration

When various kinds of outputs are produced from a single energy system, the methodology which allocates the common cost to each output cost is very important because it is directly related with the profit and loss of producers and purchasers. In the cost allocation methodology of the heat and the electricity on a cogeneration, there are energy method, work method, proportional method, benefit distribution method, various exergetic methods, and so on. On the other hand, we have proposed a worth evaluation method which can be applied to any system. The definition of this methodology is that the unit cost of a product is proportion to the worth. Where, worth is a certain evaluating basis that can equalize the worth of products. In this study, we applied this methodology to a gas-turbine cogeneration which produces 119.2 GJ/h of electricity and 134.7 GJ/h of steam, and then we allocated 3,150 $/h of fuel cost to electricity cost and steam cost. Also, we compared with various cost allocation methods. As the result, we conclude that reversible work of various kinds of worth basis evaluates the worth of heat and electricity most reasonably.
Numerical Analysis on Hood Shape Improvement of Local Ventilation System

The aim of this study is to remove crack on a ventilation device at the suction part of zinc plating factory, and the main point is making optimum configuration by improving an existing hood system. The result shows that existing hood system has problem with duct configuration, angle and reducer. Model-5 shows lowest pressure difference as meaning of suction capability. The hood inlet surface has most uniform suction capability.
