Understanding Flow in Terms of Perspectives of Mathematics Education

This study was to understand "flow" that has been very popular in the area of phenomenology and to interpret it from the perspectives of mathematics education to activate its use in mathematics education. The flow is the state in which people are so involved in an activity that nothing else seems to matter; the experience itself is so enjoyable that people will do it for the sheer sake of doing it. If anyone in society can experience with training how to get into flow, students should have chances to experience flow included in high-order thinking in order to have better fuality of life and to be confident problem solvers in the future.
The analysis of elementary mathematics curricula of university attached science education institutes for the gifted

By analyzing 21 elementary mathematics curricula of university attached science education institutes for the gifted in Korea, we give some basic and useful data that can be useful to develop better curricula for elementary mathematics curricula for the gifted in the future.

In this paper we study triangle's properties related with angle bisectors, perpendiculars, circumcenter using the principle of the lever. We analyze proof method using the principle of the lever, and describe how to investigate intersection of segments, how to prove equalities and inequalities using the principle of the lever in triangle.
On Student's Immersion in Learner-Centered Instruction

In this paper, some factors such as the perspective of children, instructional materials(especially activities in textbooks for elementary school mathematics), and teacher's questioning styles are discussed as ones influenced on students' immersion in leaner-centered instruction. This discussion is based on the author's two implementations of the kind of two instructions. About the first theme, constructivists assert that even children who are in elementary school can have reflective abstracting ability. Teachers' asking questions with the belief differ from ones with traditional perspective of children, which is relevant the third factor. They value and respect learners' thinking outcomes, even though they are not sometimes wrong and have errors. Also, they have them opportunities to think different from others and to ask how they get their answers. To do these, they frequently ask open-ended questions, not closed. All of them is possible through the activities provided in textbooks. Some characteristics which can prompt such teacher's questions using activities in elementary mathematics textbooks are discussed.

In this paper we study a new proof method of equalities and inequalities using moment of inertia. We analyze proof method using moment of inertia, and describe how to prove equalities and inequalities using moment of inertia.
A Study on New Proofs and Generalization of Haga Theorem in Paper folding

In this paper we study new proofs and generalization of Haga theorem in paper folding. We analyze developed new proofs of Haga theorem, compare new proofs with existing proof, and describe some difference of these proofs. We generalize Haga second theorem, and suggest simple proof of generalized Haga second theorem.
