Structural Analysis of Tension Controller Spring

In this research, structural analysis was conducted by applying ANSYS commercial code in order to evaluate deflection quantitatively when each weight of tension controllers was centered and weights and moments on a controller controlling tension amounts was varied in a machinery manufacturing flexible flat cable. Based on the numerical structure analysis, stress, strain and amounts of maximum deformation were obtained and investigated structural validity and was reflected on design of the controller.
A Numerical Study on Flow Field near the Roller Conveyor for Flat Panel Display

Flow field in a roller conveyor system, induced from the movement of a cassette in which glasses for flat panel display are loaded, is numerically studied in this paper. Contamination on the glass surface by dust particles produced from mechanical friction between roller and cassette is predicted from the analysis results of flow fields. Results show that a large swirl flow is formed under the moving cassette with constant speed. This swirl flow is confined only under the cassette because two main streams from the backward and the fan filter unit on the top ceiling are sufficiently strong. Therefore, it can be said that possibility of the contamination by the particles originated from the friction is relatively low. It is also revealed that flow direction between glass plates is changed according to the speed of the cassette movement due to the shear force of glass plates.

In this paper, for reducing the assembly torque of subminiature plastic barrel and base which are the essential parts of mobile phone camera module, the high-precision system for inspecting the screw shape of core, electrode and injection molding products was developed. For realization of inspection process, the inspection parameters for evaluating the manufacturing quality were selected and the measurement methods of selected parameters were developed. Finally, the inspection system which is possible to be applied to the field were fabricated.

Structural Dynamics Modification (SDM) is a very effective technique to improve structure`s dynamic characteristics by adding or removing auxiliary structures, changing material properties and shape of structure. Among those of SDM technique, the method to change shape of structure has been mostly relied on engineer`s experience and trial-and-error process which are very time consuming. In order to develop a systematic method to change structure shape, surface grooving technique is studied and successfully applied to HDD cover model. To verify Surface Grooving Technique, fully embossed HDD cover model was optimized. And comparing with previous optimization result, the effectiveness of this surface grooving technique was checked. The shape of groove and 1 st natural frequency were converged to the same result of previous optimization.

The anti-vibration tables that use air suspensions as dampers have been widely used due to their high anti-vibration performance in wide frequency band. However, they face a problem of easily accelerating the vibration when triggered by external force because their air suspensions have low rigidity and dampness. In response, there has been a study on active/semi-active dampers that use only the passive components like air suspensions to complement the passive-control format. Thus, we have dynamically analyzed the active/semi-active control of such passive anti-vibration tables. To demonstrate the anti-vibration table`s control system, we have also constructed a kinetic model based on the physical characteristics of an anti-vibration table with 6 degrees of freedom and verified its applicability through analysis and experiments.
Performance Analysis of R744(Carbon Dioxide) for Transcritical Refrigeration System

In this paper, cycle performance analysis for cooling capacity, compression work and COP of R744(
) transcritical vapor compression refrigeration system is presented to offer the basic design data for the operating parameters of the system. The operating parameters considered in this study include superheating degree, outlet temperature of gas cooler and evaporating temperature in the R744 vapor compression cycle. The main results were summarized as follows : The cooling capacity of R744 increases with superheating degree, but decreases with the increasing evaporating temperature and outlet temperature of gas cooler. The compression work increases with superheating degree and cooling pressure of R744, but decreases with the increasing evaporating temperature. And, The COP increases with outlet temperature and evaporating temperature of R744 gas cooler, but decreases with the increasing superheating degree. Therefore, superheating degree, outlet temperature and evaporating temperature of R744 vapor compression refrigeration system have an effect on the cooling capacity, compression work and COP of this system. With a thorough grasp of these effect, it is necessary to design the compression refrigeration cycle using R744.
Development of Air-floating Conveyor System for FPD

The CRT(Cathode Ray Tube) displays have been substituted for FPDs(Flat Panel Displays) such as LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and PDP(Plasma Display Panel) because they have a convex surface, large volume and heavy weight. The productivity of FPDs is greatly dependent on the area of thin glass panel with
thickness because FPDs are manufactured by cutting a large-scaled thin glass panel with patterns to the required product dimensions. So FPD`s industries are trying to increase the area of thin glass Panel. Through FEM(Finite Element Method) analysis and fluid analysis, we developed an non-contact and air-floating conveyor system which consists of transport-module, distributor, horizontal/vertical changer and controller for the 7th generation glass panel (2,200mm in width, 1,870mm in length and 0.7mm in thickness). The design technology developed in this study can be effectively applied to a conveyor system for a larger-scaled thin glass panel.
Study on Heat Transfer Characteristic of Shell-and-Tube Heat Exchanger with Plate Fin

In this work, the experimental investigation was carried out to evaluate the heat transfer performance on the shell side of shell-and-plate finned tube heat exchanger with three different tube numbers(9, 13 and 19). Oil flowing on the shell side was cooled by cold water flowing inside the tubes. A shell-and-tube heat exchanger of an oil cooler consisted of one shell pass and two tube passes with the inner tube diameter of 8.82 mm and the tube length of 575 mm. From the experiment of shell-and-plate finned tube heat exchanger, the overall heat transfer coefficient of heat exchanger with 9 tubes was compared with that of 13 and 19 tubes. It was found that the heat transfer coefficients in shell side of heat exchanger with 9 plate finned tubes showed averagely 1.8 times and 2.3 times higher than those of 13 and 19 tubes, respectively.

In this study, a simulation program has been developed to predict the performance of energy recovery ventilators fur various indoor and outdoor conditions. In order to get a fundamental data about domestic air condition, the heat recovery ventilator is selected with the product of the wind quantity
Japanese M companies which are satisfied at High Efficiency Certification Standards. At the case on which the heat recovery ventilator is established, heating load decreases by 69.1% and cooling load decreases by 59.4% in Seoul, and heating load decreases by 66.4% and cooling load decreases by 59.6% in Pusan. The maximum humidification load of winter or summer time with
occurred in March from Kangnung or August from Mokpo respectively. In Southern part region and East Sea of winter time, the condensation or frost on exhaust side dose not occurred on exhaust side, but the area of that outside is occurred. Therefore, the preventive measure from the area except a southern part region and the east coast area must be considered, in order to condense or frost not to occur on exhaustion side in winter.

In this paper, vector control to applied disturbance offset feedforward loop control for changing disturbances with various mechanical parameter is suggested. The proposed system estimate load torque based on induction motor torque using minimum diemension state observer. Because speed controller using state observer is used on condition of feedforward loop fur a torque, the robust speed control system realized. In this study, the proposed paper does to heighten reliability of system by presuming and use the speed by voltage and current that is detected without speed sensor. To prove the propriety of this paper, the various simulation carried out adequacy using a Matlab Simulink, and at the same time real system is made, using a ADMC300 digital signal processor, so it is proved. As the experimental result of embodying the system, the robust system is realized.
A Study of Vehicle`s Sensor Signal Monitoring and Control Using Zigbee Wireless Communication and Web-based Embedded System

In this paper, we constructed Embedded web-server to be monitored and controlled for intelligent vehicle on the base of embedded system and Zigbee wireless communication. By interfacing main controller and embedded system with ECU including every information of vehicle, it is possible to monitor the cruising information of vehicle, and sensor signal added to inside and outside of vehicle is transferred to embedded system through Zigbee communication. Web-server is constructed using embedded system, that`s why the access to vehicle is possible using PC or mobile instrument, and the real-time check and control of vehicle is possible as well.
A Burn-in Test System with Dynamic Bone Allocation

Bum-in test is one for eliminating semiconductor devices that are subject to early failures and other operational problems; it is usually carried out on the devices by imposing severe test conditions such as elevated voltages, temperatures, and time. In order for such a test to be performed, each burn-in board having devices to be tested, needs to be inserted into a corresponding slot. A set of such slots is called a zone. The slots comprising a zone can only have the burn-in boards with the devices of the same type. In order to test many different types of semiconductor devices, it is desirable to build a burn-in test system to have as many zones as possible. A zone controller controlling a zone, is a device that performs a burn-in test and collects test results. In case of existing systems, each zone controller takes care of a zone that consists of a fixed number of slots. Since a zone controller is, in most cases, embedded into a workstation that controls the overall testing process, adding new zone controllers is restricted by the spaces for them. As a way to solve or alleviate these problems, a dynamic zone system in which the number of slots in a zone can be dynamically allocated, is presented. This system maximizes the efficiency of system utilization, by altering the number of slots and hence minimizing the idle slots of a zone. In addition, all the test operations being performed must be aborted for maintenance in existing systems. In dynamic zone systems, however, a separate and independent maintenance is allowed for each slot, as long as the main power supply system has no problem.

Interconnection of DG(Distributed Generation) into distribution systems and power quality are frequent subjects of discussion by distribution companies, regional electricity utilities and industrial customers. This situation makes many experts estimate a next generation of distribution systems which is composed of some micro-grids. But the proposed micor-grid is only mentioned as a small network with DG`s, power quality compensators, communication and control equipments. In this paper, a decentralized coordination control algorithm of micro-grid which is able to supply the electric power with high reliability and quality, are proposed.
A Study on Nano-Accelerometer based on Carbon Nanotube

We investigated the characteristics of a capacitive nano-accelerometer based on carbon nanotube by means of classical molecular dynamics simulations. The position of the telescoping nanotube was controlled by the externally applied force and the feedback sensing was achieved from the capacitance change. Considering energy dissipation, the oscillation features of the nano-accelerometers were similar, regardless of their initial displacements. The capacitance variations, which were almost linearly proportional to the applied acceleration, were monitored within an error tolerance.
A Study on a Mobile Terminal Platform for a High Speed Mobile Multimedia System

This paper presents a L3 mobile terminal platform of the mobile terminal system which is a subsystem of HMm(Hig-speed Mobile Multimedia) system, which layer 3 control protocols such as RC(Radio Control), SC(Session Control), MC(Mobility Control) and application services such as VOD, FTP, VoIP for a multimedia mobile terminal are implemented on. The hardware platform is based on PXA255 and supports various interfaces and multimedia devices, and under the platform, an embedded Linux generated by the self-maden cross-toolchain, L3 control protocols and application programs were installed. The operation of HMm system under the HMm testbed has shown that this platform successfully supported SIP services, web browsing services, streaming services and etc as well as call processing. It could be the reference of the upcoming Fourth-Generation mobile terminal which the multimedia functionality will be enforced.
Design and Implementation of 3D Animation Software for Environment Education

This paper designed 3D animation in consideration of young children`s characteristics to stimulate their interest and to be more understandable to them. It was also confirmed that, using the 3D animation software, young children came to recognize the problem of environment pollution and developed desirable attitude and behavior fur protecting the environment. Furthermore, this paper suggested the derection of systematic environmental education at kindergartens and other early childhood education institutions using the developed 3D animation software as a leaching material.
A research for design of high efficiency DVR system using H.264 codec

It is very important for a DVR system to compress mass video data because they should be able to store#playback of video data. There are several high efficient DVR products using ordinary MPEG-4 compression fur data compression. But most of them support only CIF(D1/4) image, which means degraded image quality in comparison with input image source. In this paper, M-JPEG and H.264 Codec are realized using DSP. To multiple channels system M-JPEG is used for data transmission through network, and Data compression rate is improved as about 4 times as ordinary MPEG-4 compression by supporting Baseline Profile of H.264. As a result, high resolution with the width 720 pixels and the height 480 pixels can be supported.
Conversion of Fisheye Image to Perspective Image Using Nonlinear Scaling Function

The fisheye image acquired with a fisheye camera has wider field of view than a general use camera. But large distortion of the object in the image requires conversion of the fisheye image to the perspective image because of user`s difficult perception. The existing Ishii`s method has the problem that the object can has sire and geometrical distortion in the transformed image because it uses equidistance projection. This paper presented a conversion technique of the fisheye image to the perspective image using sealing function. In the experiments, it was shown that our method reduced size and geometrical distortion by applying the scaling function.

The security architecture of U-information HUB includes the internetworking scope of airline, airport network, airplane network, and related government agency, etc.
A Fast Iris Feature Extraction Method For Embedded System

Iris recognition is a biometric technology which can identify a person using the iris pattern. Recently, using iris information is used in many fields such as access control and information security. But Perform complex operations to extract features of the iris. because High-end hardware for real-time iris recognition is required. This paper is appropriate for the embedded environment using local gradient histogram embedded system using iris feature extraction methods have implement. Experimental results show that the performance of proposed method is comparable to existing methods using Gabor transform noticeably improves recognition performance and it is noted that the processing time of the local gradient histogram transform is much faster than that of the existing method and rotation was also a strong attribute.

Implementation of Web Based Remote Monitoring and Control System

Recently, lots of research activities have been carried out to provide advanced smart control functions applying a computer networking technology to telemeter/telecontrol systems. In this paper, we suggest client/server architecture with specially designed remote and local control software for applicant those to greenhouse model. The server system collects and integrates various datas related sensor or actuator, and stores in database maintaining high quality of remote I/O control operation. Where as the client system simply operation such as control panel on the internet web browser. Implemented system well communicate interactively both monitoring and control status of greenhouse including multimedia informations. In this study we also analyze the extent of the performance enhancement in terms of overall throughput and data transfer time effected by packet size.

Nowdays needs the new still image compression standard. JPEG2000 has been developed. JPEG2000 divide DWT and EBCOT. EBCOT is consisted of Bit Plane Coding and ARithmetic Coding algorithm. In this paper, we proposed BPC algorithm that is efficient context-based generation. Proposed BPC Algorithm forecasted coding pass using SigStage, column, mpass value. BPC designed using Verilog HDL. H/W implemenates using Xillinx FPGA technology.

Implementation of Real-Time Security System by using Dual Camera

The real time security system using web camera shall correspond in commensurate with it in real time through classifying moving object and analyzing the behavior. But, as to the detection of moving object in real time image through a camera, it is difficult to detect movement correctly according to the change of unnecessary noises, lighting conditions and screened phenomenon. This paper proposes real time security system by dual camera and ultrasonic sensor, a method of advanced detection in order to detect correct movement of specific object. That is, we could improve the tracing characteristics by using ultrasonic sensor as measurement factor of changed position and verify through experiments that the information interchanged between camera upwards and in front of it have effect on tracing a specific object continuously. The results of the experiment show that recognition rate of object was 97.4% and the correct tracing could be done lastingly in a phenomena of screening object.
Experimental Study on Flexural Performance of Composite Slabs Reinforced with GFRP-Deckplate

In this study, the flexural experiment was conducted to propose the one-way composite slab system composed of concrete and GFRP-Deckplate by comparing with the composite deck slab system with bar-mesh As a result of experiment, the specimens of the proposed GFRP-Deck composite slab were better than the specimens for comparison in the flexural performance. It is effective for the building structures exposed to air pollution or salt.

A rate-sensitive constitutive model was developed, with some simplifying assumptions, in the frame of the standard elastoplastic-viscous relation. The simulations performed using the model were successful for the normally consolidated cohesive soils with the advantage that the parameter values determined at a rate could be used at. different rates. Details on the parameters and additional modification of the model are presented in the successive paper.

When it was applied to the Han river and Nakdong river system, sulfuric acid ion, which accelerated corrosion, was higher in Nakdong river system than Han river system while calcium and hardness, which restrained corrosion, was the same way. Summarization of the LI and CCPP calculation result by the developed corrosion evaluation model showed that water quality of Han river system had strong tendency to corrode (is strongly corrosive). Fabrication and transcription estimation of prismless LGP for cellular phone using E-Mold technology

In this paper, we adopted E-MOLD patent technology in order to fabricate Prismless LGP(Light Guide Panel) fur cellular phone and estimate the transcription of injection-molded parts. Then, we manufactured the Ni stamper fur Prismless LGP using MEMS process. And the stamper was installed in the movable heated core which is the key part of a patented mold. Using this mold, we manufactured injection-molded plastic LGP parts with different mold temperatures so that we investigate effect of the temperature on the transcription of the parts. Effect of Enzyme Treatments on the Extraction Efficacy and Antioxidant Activity of Haematococcus Extract from Haematococcus pluvialis

An efficient production method of food-grade heamatococcus extract was developed based on stepwise enzymatic hydrolysis. In the first step, Haematococcus pluvialis cells hydrolysis carried out with commercially available exopeptidase(Flavourzyme) and endopeptidase (Alcalase), resulted in increased astaxanthin content. In the second step, proteolytic hydrolyzed H. pluvialis cells treated with hetero-polysaccharides hydrolytic enzyme (Viscozyme). By two-stage treatments using Alcalase and Flavourzyme and Viscozyme, the highest astaxanthin content was obtained. The astaxanthin content was remarkably enhanced by 320%
than that of the non-treated extract. And then, antioxidative activities determined by DPPH method were increased with increasing the astaxanthin content in haematococcus extract prepared by enzymatic hydrolysis.
The Analysis for effect on Government R&D Subsidies by using PSM

Trend of R&D expenditure in Korea during the last 10 years, the R&D expenditure has been constantly increasing at an average rate of 10%. The government R&D ekpenditures or subsidies are increasing rapidly But the studies of evaluating impact of government R&D subsidies are few. This study attempts to empirically investigate the effects of government R&D subsidies on private firm`s R&D investment in Korean industry by using Propensity score matching method which sign as to whether the relationship between government subsidies and private R&D investments is on stimulating or displacing private R&D expenditures. Empirically, a firm with government R&D subsidy are 733 million dollar more expenditure then don`t receive any government R&D funding. Also Government R&D subsidies greatly increase (statistically significant) company financed R&D expenditures only for large firms but had no effect on the R&D expenditures of small & medium sized firms and venture firms.
A Study on the Factors affecting the Implementation of HCRM

Due to the high level of information supportive function of Internet, the management environment change is accelerating. The Patients are able to have the chances of Hospital- and Doctor-shopping. So the Customer Relationship Management skill or Patient -oriented management is becoming one of the important management method of Hospital. To adapt these trend, many Hospital invest the money and efforts for the implementation of Hospital CRM system. But the Performance of HCRM is not satisfactory for the investor from many reasons. In this paper we try to find out which kinds of factors have the Influences on the Implementation of HCRM, and how is the relation between these factors. We use the Structural Equation Model to clarify these relationships. The result of this paper will contribute in the decision making of the implementation of HCRM in the field, and in providing the knowledge base.
