The Design of Piezo-driven mirror for the Path Length Control in a Ring Resonator

The principal operation of a ring laser gyroscope depends on the phase difference for the counter-propagating waves within a closed path. The reflection mirrors mounted on the resonator block form the traveling waves. Thus, the dimension accuracy of resonator block influences the traveling path of beam. In order to maintain the stable optical beam path in the ring resonator, the piezo-driven moveable mirror is adopted for the path length control under the thermal expansion or mechanical strain of resonator block. This paper presents the mathematical description of the elastic behavior of piezo-driven mirror. This description can be applied for the concept design of piezo-driven mirror.

In this study, a muffler for the super heavy machinery in the 70 ton class is developed. Developing process relies on experimental and rule of thumb approach. Various muffler internal structures consisting of partition plates, perforated and non-perforated through pipes, and absorbent are tried and compared for the transmission loss performance. Based on the experimental results, the best combination and locations of the internal acoustic components which affects the muffler performance are determined.

In this paper, cycle performance analysis of cascade refrigeration system using
(R717-R744) is presented to offer the basic design data for the operating parameters of the system. The operating parameters considered in this study include subcooling and superheating degree and condensing and evaporating temperature in the ammonia(R717) high temperature cycle and the carbon dioxide low temperature cycle. The COP of cascade refrigeration system increases with the increasing superheating degree, but decreases with the increasing subcooling degree. The COP of cascade refrigeration system increases with the increasing condensing temperature, but decreases with the increasing evaporating temperature. Therefore, superheating and subcoolng degree, evaporating and condensing temperature of cascade refrigeration system using
have an effect on the COP of this system. A multilinear regression analysis was employed in terms of subcooling, superheating, evaporating, condensing, and cascade heat exchanger temperature difference in order to develop mathematical expressions for maximum COP and an optimum evaporating temperature.
A Study of Improvement of Low Temperature Uniformity of Wafer Prober Chuck

The wafer prober is used in mass production process of semiconductor chips. The chuck in wafer prober must have a uniform temperature distribution when the chuck is heated or cooled. The temperature distribution of prober chuck is measured by using a thermocouple when the chuck is cooled. The temperature distribution is also calculated by using a CFD program, FLUENT. The measured temperature and calculated temperature show similar distributions. A modified coolant circuit distribution for the improving temperature uniformity is suggested based on the numerical analysis results.
Finite Element Analysis for the Forging Process Design of a Blind Rivet

A rivet which can fasten two parts is one of an important mechanical elements. In this study, the process design of a blind revet is implemented using finite element method in order to manufacture it which can resist high vibration and has strong coherence between two parts. Considering plastic flow, ease of manufacture, high strength, material loss, and so forth, an optimal four-stage process is proposed by finite element analysis and process design rules. In addition, the finite element simulation results such as shape of the forged rivet, strain distribution and forging load are investigated for the usefulness of the forging process of the blind rivet. These results will be contributed to the forging process design and the die design of the blind rivet.
Shock Simulation and Experimental Verification of HDD

This study deals with the shock response analysis of HDD subjected to a half-sine shock pulse and its experimental verification. Comparatively, accurate computer simulation allows designers to determine complete mechanical information during the product impact time period, compared with only segmental messages by sensors in a test, to predict potential failures. But, impact/shock simulation technology is rather sensitive to various factors to predict the shock behavior without validation. In our shock simulation, the methodology of analysis with LS-DYNA3D and test validation is adopted to predict the shock behavior of HDD. We can confirm the soundness of the present shock simulation through the comparison with electromagnetic shock test(200G/1ms) and linear drop test(300G/2ms).

An electromagnetic pump has been designed using Load Distribution Method and Equivalent Circuit Method, and installed in a liquid metal flow system. The relation between the driving power of he electromagnetic pump and the flow rate was proposed. Also, the flow velocity and flow rate has been calculated by treating the Lorentz force as a source term in the Navier-Stokes equation. The calculation results were analyzed and compared with data from a commercial Code, FLUENT. They agreed well with each other within an error of 5%.

Gouging is defined as the removal of weld metal and base metal from the opposite of a partially welded joint to facilitate complete joint penetration. Since the work by current method needs skillful welding and grinding, there is a limit on the increase of operation efficiency. Noise and dust from the weld gouging also deteriorate the work place and cause environmental problems. In this study, the gouging work by cutting method is proposed to overcome the defects from weld gouging such as low productivity, severe noise, dense dust, and so on. Study on the Performance Improvement of the Aftermarket Automotive Muffler

Aftermarket muffler has been developed mainly by personal experience and trial-and error and has not been properly simulated or evaluated its performance. One of the aftermarket muffler problems is that the aftermarket muffler has quite high pressure-drop across the passage. To reduce the pressure-drop, various simulation and test has been performed for various muffler models. As a result, the muffler that has superior pressure-drop and vibration characteristics compared to the previous muffler has been developed. Developed aftermarket muffler has a structure that avoids confined space causing vibration due to exhaust pressure pulsation and bisects an inlet pipe from the engine.

Portable ultrasonic detectors are useful for detection of electrical discharge phenomena like as partial discharge, corona, arching and tracking occurring in an electric system. But the general potable ultrasonic detectors have drawbacks that the results are under the influence subjective reaction of users and it is difficult to determine the type of problem by listening to sound properties and estimate results. So a new analysis method distinguishing ultrasonic characteristics is required. This paper presented ultrasonic wave analysis program to visualize ultrasonic sound of corona, arching and tracking measured by ultrasonic detector. While depending on sound properties alone can be subjective, by incorporating analytical method using the developed program, users are able to increase the accuracy of their ultrasonic diagnosis results.

Double rectangular patch with 4-bridges is investigated for solution of IEEE 802.11b/g (2.4 GHz) and 802.11a (5.5 GHz). Development of Algorithm and Program for the Ground Fault Detection in Ungrounded Distribution Power System

The ground fault is occupying 70% among the total number of faults in ungrounded distribution power system. When the ground fault occurs in ungrounded system, the fault current is so small that it is hard to detect. But fault handling is very important because to continue power supply during fault conditions may cause the fault spreading and the distribution device in trouble. This paper presents the fault line detection method by using GPT signal detecting zero sequence voltage, and the fault section detection method by detecting whether GPT signal is disappeared or not during shifting normally open switch, which is connecting switch between distribution lines with open state in order to restore the outage area under emergency situation, and during isolating each section one by one which belongs to the fault line. This method is efficient because there is no whole power interruption during the fault section detection, and it is possible to perform both the fault section detection and the service restoration for the outage area at the same time, and it can apply to various distribution system configuration. Program for the fault restoration was developed applying proposed method, and it has been validated by applying to the pilot project of distribution automation system in Vietnam which has the ungrounded distribution system.
Double-deflector effects on a low voltage microcolumn

In a double deflector employed microcolumn, the variation of FOV and scan field width was investigated in mode of conversely biased double deflector to eliminate barrel distortion caused by aberration. The relationship between biased voltage of each deflector and electron emission tip voltage was studied for the maximum FOV and scan field width. The limitation and the linearity of zooming current image are also estimated as a function of electron emission tip voltage.
Design of Controller for Nonlinear Multivariable System Using Neural Network Sliding Surface

The variable structure control(VSC) with sliding mode is the discontinuous control law in leads to undesirable chattering in practice. As a method solving this problem, in this paper, we propose a scheme of the VSC with neural network sliding surface. A neural network sliding surface with boundary layer is employed to solve discontinuous control law. The proposed controller can eliminate the chattering problem of the conventional VSC. The effectiveness of the proposed control scheme is verified by simulation results.
Design of a CPW Oscillator Using Spiral Resonators

This paper describes a CPW oscillator using a spiral resonator. Spiral resonators are very useful in design CPW oscillators since they show a relatively higher Q than CPW hairpin and helical resonators. Prior to the design of oscillators, three CPW resonators are designed and compared. Electromagnetic (EM) simulation are performed for an improved design in design the CPW resonators and oscillators. Three oscillators are designed at 5.7 GHz using the mentioned CPW resonators. The measured output power of three CPW oscillators using the helical, hairpin, and spiral resonators are 2.55 dBm, 2.64 dBm, and 4.98 dBm, respectively. In addition, the size of three resonators are
, respectively, so it is proven that the proposed CPW oscillator using the spiral resonator has a smaller size than the others.

This paper describes an anti-ARM technique using multiple decoy antennas. We investigate the radar and decoy antenna signal received at the ARM receiver to verify the effect of decoy antennas. And we develop a simulation program using Matlab for optimum positions of the decoys and the effect of ARM by distance between decoys. We suggest optimum positions and distance between decoys based on our simulation results.
Inverse optimal control of nonlinear systems with structural uncertainty

In this paper, inverse optimal control for nonlinear systems with structural uncertainty is considered. The first, the bounded of structural uncertainty is introduced and based on the control Lyapunov function, a theorem for the globally asymptotic stability is presented. From this a less conservative condition for the inverse optimal control is derived. The result is used to design an inverse optimal controller for a class of nonlinear systems, that improves and extends the existing results. The class of nonlinear system considered is also enlarger. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the method.

In this paper, it is reviewed is to acquaint a circuit design with features of piezoelectric ceramic transformers(PT) and to show the general approach to the design of inverters utilizing PT as a circuit element. The description of the piezoelectric effect is not present here and can be easily found in numerous publications as well as complex equations and formulae. What is the most important to understand is that "they are different" -one cannot just change an electromagnetic transformer (EMT) for a piezoelectric one. Several examples of PT-based circuitry will help to start and use PT's advantages most effectively.

This study has comprehensively summarized existing research on the technology for evaluating software quality and its standardization. Based on this, the study developed a model for evaluating software quality via needs assessment. Also, in terms of the trend toward international standardization of software quality evaluation, this study has consulted details relating to the combining of two documents on such intranational standardization as the ISO/IEC 9126 and ISO/IEC 14598 and enacting them as a single document, the ISO/IEC 25000. Further, the purpose of this study is to develop a model for evaluating mobile RFID quality based on recognition of the characteristics of each area, after taking into consideration the demands made from the perspective of the user. Another purpose is to improve the quality of mobile RFID by developing a testing method for mobile RFID from the perspective of the evaluator.

The objective of this thesis is to improve the quality of a software product based on the enhancement of a software design quality using a better error detecting method. Also, this thesis is based on a software design method called as MOA(Methodology for Object to Agents) which uses an ontology based ODES(A Method based on Ontology for Detecting Errors in the Software Design) model as a common information model. At this thesis, a new format of error detecting method was defined. The method is implemented during a transformation process from UML model to ODES model using a ODES model, a Inter-View Inconsistency Detection technique and a combination of ontologic property of consistency framework and related rules. Transformation process to ODES model includes lexicon analysis and meaning analysis of a software design using of multiple mapping table at algorithm for the generation of ODES model instance.

Nowadays Fiber optical communication systems have limitless bandwidth and can be used for transmitting various multimedia data with in real time. It is necessary to construct integrated service systems that can be used in our society whole to communicate multimedia data such as text, image, audio and video data in fiber optic communication systems. In this paper, we have designed and constructed the fiber optical link application system for multi-video/audio data transmission using only one core optical cable upgrading previous fiber optical communication systems based on WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexer). Using the proposed fiber optical link application system enables us to managing fiber optical communication systems with only one core optical cable using WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexer) and DEWDM/Wavelength splitter.
An Integrated Repository System with the Change Detection Functionality for XML Documents

Although, a number of DBMS vendors are scrambling to extend their products to handle XML, there is a need for a lightweight, DBMS and platform-independent XML repository as well. In this paper, we describe such an XML integrated repository system, that solves the following functions : generating relational schema from XML DTDs for storage of XML documents, importing data from XML documents into relational tables, creating XML documents according to a XMLQL(XML Query Language) from data extracted from a database and synchronizing the replicated XML documents. In the XML repository systems, the efficient change detection techniques for XML documents is required to maintain the consistency of replicated XML data because the same data in the repository can be replicated between so many different XML documents. In this paper, we propose a message digest based change detection technique to maintain the consistency of replicated data between client XML documents and a XML data in XML repository systems.
Application of Vocal Fold Vibration Analysis Parameter for Infant Congenital Heart Diseases Diagnosis

Due to poor linguistic communication skills of sucklings and infants, crying mostly is only means of communication to express their body conditions and desires. We, therefore, developed an infant auscultation system which detects which part of the body has a pathological problem, by analysing infant's crying sound patterns. Specifically, in this paper, we accomplished an auscultation system for congenital heart diseases detection by performing pitch, intensity and spectrum analysis of the crying sounds between the normal infants group and the congenital heart diseases group. With this system, we can diagnose congenital heart diseases of infants with poor communication capacity, and, in the near future, can build a home care diagnosis system based on crying sound analysis technologies through additional experiments on medical data.
An End-to-End QoS Control Method for Heterogeneous Networks

Supporting Quality of Service (QoS) for multimedia services in heterogeneous mobile networks is a part of key issue for Three Generation Evolution (3GE) development. A QoS management structure needs to guarantee the QoS of moving users based on an end-to-end negotiation to support the seamless service when MT is moving between the heterogeneous networks. We propose an end-to-end negotiation method based on SLA(Service Level Agreement). For this aim, the SLA control and algorithm for supporting MT's QoS is considered. Simulation is focused on the average delay and packet loss rate, and the results show that our proposed method provides mobile terminals with the optimal performance.

An advanced and proactive response mechanism against diverse attacks on All-IP network should be proposed for enhance its security and reliability on open network. There are two main research works related to this study. First one is the SPIE system with hash function on Bloom filter and second one is the Sinkhole routing mechanism using BGP protocol for verifying its transmission path. In this study, we proposed an advanced IP Tracing mechanism based on Bloom filter and Sinkhole routing mechanism. Proposed mechanism has a Manager module for controlling the regional router with using packet monitoring and filtering mechanism to trace and find the attack packet's real transmission path. Additionally, proposed mechanism provides advanced packet aggregation and monitoring/control module based on existing Sinkhole routing method. Therefore, we can provide an optimized one in All-IP network by combining the strength on existing two mechanisms. And the Tracing performance also can be enhanced compared with previously suggested mechanism.

There have been many researches to detect and recover from faults on smart home environment, because these faults should lower its reliability. while, most of these researches have addressed functional defects of devices or software malfunction, few attempts have been made to deal with faults which may occur due to the inter relationships among devices. In this paper, we define the relationships among devices as rules, and propose a method for generating fault diagnosis knowledge which defines the symptoms and causes of faults. We classify the contexts of devices into two sets, depending on whether it satisfies the rules or not. when this method is applied to smart home environment, it is feasible not only to detect faults that may occur due to the relationships among devices but to identify their causes at real time.

In this paper, we analyze vulnerabilities in a remote authentication protocol using smartcards which was proposed by Bindu et al. and propose an improved scheme. The proposed scheme can prevent from restricted replay attack and denial of service attack by replacing time stamp with random number. In addition, this protocol can guarantee user anonymity by transmitting encrypted user's ID using AES cipher algorithm. The computational load in our protocol is decreased by removing heavy exponentiation operations and user efficiency is enhanced due to addition of password change phase in which a user can freely change his password. Furthermore, we really implement the proposed authentication protocol using a STM smartcard and authentication server. Then we prove the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed remote authentication system.

Pfair scheduling algorithm, which is an optimal scheduling algorithm in the hard real-time multiprocessor environments, is based on the fixed quantum size. Recently, several methods that determine the maximum quantum size dynamically were proposed in the mode change environments. But these methods considered the case in which the period of a task can only be decreased. In this paper, we consider the case in which the period of a task can be decreased or increased, and propose an improved method that determine the maximum quantum size dynamically in the mode change environments. A simulation shows that the proposed method is effective.

Recently, the Green IT is noticed because of the effects of greenhouse gas emissions, a drain on natural resources and pollution. In this paper, Visible Light Communication (VLC) systems with Turbo Coded scheme using LED is proposed and simulated in an optical wireless channel. As a forward error correction scheme to reduce information losses, turbo coding was employed. To decode the codewords, The Map (Maximum a Posteriori) algorism and SOVA (Soft Output Viterbi Algorithm) is used. The above mentioned schemes are described and simulation results are analyzed. As using turbo codes scheme, BER performance of proposed VLC systems is improved about 5 [dB].
Effective Methods of Fenton Oxidation for Remediation of Diesel-contaminated Soil

This study was performed to solve the problem of the 2nd contamination and excessive treatment cost by determining proper quantity of hydrogen peroxide, iron catalyst, mixing method, and input mode that should be provided when Fenton oxidation (this is mostly applied to small contaminated areas such as service station sites) is applied to the excavated and diesel-contaminated soil. Soil artificially contaminated with 10000mg/kg of diesel was used for the experiment. In the batch test, diesel removal seemed to increase as the concentration of hydrogen peroxide increases. When iron catalyst was added, removal efficiency of diesel was much higher than the time when hydrogen peroxide was added solely. The removal efficiency showed greater when Fe(III) was added compared to Fe(II). Column experiment was executed on the basis of results of the batch test to investigate adequate reagent mixing and input methods. The highest efficiency was acquired in the case of separate input mode. Also, it was found that when inputting Fe(III) iron catalyst and separately inputting hydrogen peroxide after dividing the bundle in the column, removal efficiency was 92.8%, which was 9 times greater than that of the first method, 10.5%, when only hydrogen peroxide was added. Thus, it is expected that if the result of this research is applied to Fenton oxidation for the remediation of soil contaminated by diesel, the problem of the 2nd contamination and excessive treatment charge caused by excessive addition of hydrogen peroxide and iron catalyst could be solved.

Among the livestock, chickens are raised because of the merit ingested protein in low-priced cost of production and are primary livestock increased the consumption of meat. The factors of influencing condition, odor is the most important factor. Odor substances are ammonia, amines, hydrogen sulfide and mercaptan which come from night soil. Livestock are prevented from rearing by means of these odor substances. Though the henhouse is heated using hot air type heater in the winter season, it is ventilated for the control of odor because of the increase of odor concentration. In the present work, composite catalytic system combined the existing facilities(hot air type heater) with catalytic system was developed, it could controled odor and hazardous gas using the oxidation/reduction reaction without extra operating cost. Moreover, the purpose of this work is to develop the catalysts which are cost competitive and can maximize energy efficiency. The catalysts are noble metal(Pt-Rh) and composite transition metal(Mn) type.

Recently, the development and spread of the new recyclable energy becomes urgent because of the depletion of fossil fuel and strengthening the environmental regulation. To recovery from the waste out of the many new recyclable energies has been proved as the most favorable when the potential value of energy source is compared. The RDF from the waste has been approved as the most economical method out of the other methods. However, the toxic gases (HCl, Dioxin etc) and heavy metals generated during the burning of the industrial wastes have been pointed out as problems. The PVC, alkali metal chloride, and alkaline earth metal chloride are major materials for emitting the chlorine and chlorine compounds have the problem such as the erosion on the heat collection device. This research has analyzed the heavy metal components containing in the industrial waste, and the concentration of Cl and S in the industrial waste generated in B industrial complex are slightly high than that of the A industrial complex. The results can be used to discuss the origin of inorganic components in industrial waste and utilized as a base data to improve the performance of the RDF as fuel.

Soil nailing method is widely used in reinforcing slopes and excavating earth. The analysis of nail-reinforced slopes, generally require complicated computer programs. The purpose of this paper is suggest, Soil stability Chart for nailed slopes which are very useful for pre-design, rapidly design, and final check. Three slope types, three nail lengths and three nail angles are selected for the stability analysis by using limit equilibrium method form Bishop and French. From the above results, this study propose the reinforced design charts for examine the necessity of reinforcement can be examined. The suggested stability chart and Taylor's Slope Stability Chart, showed similar safety factors. This Soil Nailing design charts can provide the solutions for necessity of reinforcement, economical of nail's length ratio and installation angle as well.

Shallow Failure Characteristics of Weathered Granite Soil Slope in accordance with the Rainfall Infiltration

In order to examine the characteristic of shallow failure in cut slopes composed of weathered granite soil, this study calculated critical permeability coefficient according to rainfall characteristic in Korea, performed stability analysis according to the representative physical properties of weathered granite soil distributed in Korea such as horizontal distance to the failure surface of cut slope, slope inclination, slope height, and the depth of wetting by rainfall, and analyzed the results. We judged that shallow failure according to wetting depth should be considered when rainfall below the critical rainfall intensity lasts longer than the minimum rainfall duration in cut slopes composed of weathered granite soil, which had a critical permeability coefficient lower than the maximum critical permeability coefficient. Furthermore, using simulated failure surface, this study could understand the characteristic of shallow failure in cut slopes based on the change in slope safety factor according to horizontal distance, wetting depth, and strength parameter.
Structural Safety Assessment Using Equation Error Function and Response Error Function

Load bearing structural members in a wide variety of applications accumulate damage over their service life. During experiment much effort and cost is needed for measuring structural safety assessment. The sparseness and errors of measured data have to be considered during the safety estimation of structures. This paper introduces parameter estimation and damage identification algorithm by a system identification using static and dynamic response. The equation error estimator and response error widely used in system identification are based on the minimization of least squared error between measured and calculated responses by a mathematical model of a structure. Since each estimator has a specific form of application in noisy environment and proposes different definitions for these forms. To study the behaviour of the estimators in noisy environment Using Monte Carlo simulation, and a data measured pertubation scheme is adopted to investigate the influence of measurement errors on identification results. The assessment result by static and dynamic response were compared, and the efficiency and applicabilities of the proposed algorithm are demonstrated through simulated static and dynamic responses of a dimensional truss type structures.
A Study on Serviceability of Oversized Bolt Hole in High-Tension Bolt Joint Subjected to Bending

If a design load exceeding the frictional force of the contact surface is applied to the connection of steel members using a high-tension bolt friction joint, sliding occurs and the connection of the steel members bears the design load through the shear strength and bearing strength of the bolt and the base plate. The sliding distance can be determined by the tensile force of the bolt, the friction coefficient of the contact surface, and the position of the bolt in the base plate hole. This study measured and analyzed sliding according to standard bolt hole and oversize bolt hole when pure bending moment and tensile force were applied to high-tension bolt joints with different sizes of bolt holes made in the base plate and the cover plate. In a high-tension bolt joint receiving pure bending moment and tensile force, the load causing sliding in an oversize bolt hole was
of that in a standard bolt hole. In a member receiving tensile force, the sliding load ratio was lower when the size of oversize bolt holes in the base plate and the cover plate was large. In addition, the size of the oversize bolt hole in the base plate was more closely correlated with the change of sliding loadthan the size of the oversize bolt hole in the base plate.

This study certified that the mentality training that utilized ICT learning has been working as an important base having much effect on learner's basic attitude on physical education class, improvement of bodily exercise function, and class satisfaction, and that the exercise ability was improved in the scope of speed, form(posture), accuracy(shooting success rate), and adaptability(performance ability). It means it is a much more step-forwarded educational method that the advantages of ICT learning and mentality training at the existing learning method were applied to the reality. Regarding the object of this study, it is a little bit unreasonable to generalize its study results in that it wasn't intended for national unit sampling. Therefore, in the future study, it is necessary to continue to advance the study that its representative-ness was supplemented through the balanced sampling between area and area, and between grade and grade.
Curriculums in the Nonprofit Sector of the School of Business Administration: Focused on South Korea and United States

There has been minimal research regarding nonprofit sectors in the school of business administration, and many research have processed a structure aspect. And there is no studies of curriculums in nonprofit sectors. Therefore, this study is to analyze and examine the degree of opening about nonprofit subjects in the school of business administration and MBA which are established in the main universities of South Korea and United States. And it is to find the activation plans about subjects relevance to nonprofit in domestic universities. We classified the systematization level, educational level, and curriculum level based on the Wish & Mirabella(1998), and analyzed nonprofit curriculums opened in the school of business administration and MBA of South korea and United States. The results shows that the systematization level, educational level, and curriculum level in domestic universities are lower than universities of United States. This results of this study show the needs for the research institutes of the nonprofit sector, establishment of degree courses, education of expert, curriculum opening and others to activate the nonprofit field in domestics universities.

This research had the following 3 procedures. The first step focused on the study of the selection attributes for the selection of family and fast food restaurant. The second process is to analyse the level of customer's satisfaction after visiting such family and fast food restaurants. And the in last phase the factor analysis was carried out in order to determine the attribute factors for the restaurant selection. After that the hypothesis was verified about which selection attribute has the effect on the customer satisfaction. The research hypothesises look like as follow.. H1 : the selection attributes of family restaurant has the positive effect on the customer satisfaction. H2 : the selection attributes of fast food restaurant has the positive effect on the customer satisfaction. For this research about 350 university students in Chongju area were interviewed. The result of this research would be the guideline in terms of the marketing aspects for the restaurant owners who are confronted with the severe competition, and also be the foundation for the future research.

Since Germany was unified in 1990, Korea became the only country that has the division in the world. This division has various bad effects on Korea's status with not reliable security, forfeited national impression, loss of tourism income and so on. Kim Jung-Il national defense committee chairman is the current dictator of North Korea which is a socialist state. Even if he is getting old, his successor is not proclaimed. In this situation, his sudden aggravation of health can cause seriously bad effects on diplomatic relations especially with South Korea. In order to deal this problem, we propose the method of extracting the Kim Jung-Il national defense committee chairman's health from his pictures which are recently open to the public by employing the diagnosis Ocular Inspection used in Oriental medicine. n order to get an accurate result, revising the Kim Jung-Il national defense committee chairman's pictures, which are not taken in a controled equal situation, is necessary. Therefore we employed the color analysis process with color revising and color differential comparing process without color revising. With these processes, we can make diagnosis of his diabetes and complications.

This research focuses on searching primary factors in accessing internet shopping sites. In this research we have derived primary factors such as the order factors, the product factors, and the delivery factors by factor analysis approach. We have done AHP analysis on these derived primary factors. The results of AHP analysis show that the most important factor is the product factors and the most important sub factor among the product factors is the after service factor including guaranteed returns and refunds, and product exchangeability. The next important factor is the incentive provision in which discount coupons, mileage accumulation policies are the main sub factors included.

The study classified speech styles of shopping hosts and tried to examine how the classified speech styles have an effect on the evaluation of shopping hosts and the purchase intentions. In the evaluation of speech styles of shopping hosts, except customer-oriented confutative style, credibility, descriptive relevance, other speech styles are analyzed to have an impact on the styles. When we investigate the influential relations between speech styles proved by a theory and the evaluation of shopping hosts, the demonstrative style comes first, the expressive style is next and the descriptive follows in terms of influential power. In terms of the purchasing intention, speech styles of shopping hosts have an effect on the demonstrative and expressive types rather than the elucidative and descriptive ones. Namely, the analysis shows that the speech style which is logically persuasive and expresses the contents in detail is preferred to the descriptive and leading speech style.

e-Health system is the use of information and communication technologies to provide health care information and services to stakeholders. It pursues an improvement of service quality of health care, increases of accessability of information, reduction of medical cos and enforcement of competitiveness in health care industry. There are lots of difficulties in implication of internet technology to health care process. This is because that the characteristics of health care industry is very closed and specific and also the internet technology has the very user-oriented characters. So it is necessary to have the system independent conceptual design method to combine these two characteristics. In this paper a new modified conceptual design methodology will be proposed for the successful implementation of e-health system in korean health care industry. The proposed methodology will be verified its validity and feasibility through AHP method. And the results of this research will be implied as the basis for the development and revitalization of e-Health system in Korea.

PPPs(Public Private Partnerships) in Korea was introduced in 1990s, which mainly used for providing transportation facilities such as railroad and high-way. Since 2005, a service delivery type PPPs, in other words BTL(Build Transfer Lease) has been implemented, which focused on social infra-structure including school, military housing, and sewage facilities. According to previous literature, efficient risk evaluation and management is the key factor for successful PPPs in the UK and Australia. However, Korea doesn't have proper risk evaluation system for PPP type project. In this paper, we explore and analyze risk evaluation system of PPPs in Korea and other countries. Also, we apply empirical methodology used in the UK to a BTL project and set up a new PSC(Public Sector Comparator) with risk evaluation.

This study was conducted to investigate the relationship among Social support, Self-concept and Ego-resilience as perceived by middle-school students. A survey was conducted to 699 middle school students who live in Seoul area. The results showed significant correlations among social support, Self-concept and Ego-resilience. Most importantly, the variable of Self-concept was stronger predictor for Ego-resilence than Social support.

This paper presents study on technological forecasting of Next-Generation Display technology. Next-Generation Display technology is one of the emerging technologies lately. So databases on patent documents of this technology were analyzed first. And patent analysis was performed for finding out present technology trend. And the forecast for this technology was made by growth curves which were obtained from forecast models using patent documents. In previous study, Gompertz, Logistic, Bass were used for forecasting diffusion of demand in market. Gompertz, Logistic models which were often used for technological forecasting, too. So, two models were applied in this study. But Gompertz, Logistic models only consider internal effect of diffusion. And it is difficult to estimate maximum value of growth in two models. So, Bass model which considers both internal effect and external effect of diffusion was also applied. And maximum value of growth in Gompertz, Logistic models was estimated by Bass model.

This paper proposes Dual DBR(Drum-Buffer-Rope) system for a small-to-medium-sized PCB(Printed Circuit Board) manufacturing line. DBR method of TOC(Theory of Constraints) is an effective system for a small-to-medium-sized company to build production scheduling system. But to apply it to PCB line, it needs more technical consideration because of multiple constraints, looping process line and complex buffer management. This paper proposes an answer of these problems using Dual DBR to build production scheduling system more successfully. And it was confirmed that lead time was reduced more than 20% applying Dual DBR system to a domestic PCB manufacturing line actually.

By observing and classifying the articles that are centering around the forecasting information which are dealing with the health related articles in the mass media such as the daily press, KBS1 9 O'clock news, and TV broadcast station's health serialization program, this research was to fulfill ultimately to present health predicted execution for the data on the present state of analysis for the general public to acquire the health related information and to practice the presented basic data of the useful health information to the patients and general public by understand the tendency of the health related information that is presented to the general public. The period of the subject for analysis conducted in a year, started in January 1st, 2006 and finished in December 31st 2006. The research sampled about 50% of the subject of analysis by using the computer's random sampling in considering the quantity of work. Look in to the subject of health information, the daily news paper illustrated in the order of the cause of diseases and dangerous factor (15.5%), the medical treatment and techniques, the medication(15.4%), and the health promotion(14.6%), and the TV news presented the subject on the cause of diseases and dangerous factor(27.5%) the most, and the least presented in the order of the mechanics(24.2%), and the administrator(11.3%).
The Effect of Brainwave Traing on Students' Acadamic Achievement and Ability of Resisting Stress -for the Primary Student-

This study was to examine the effectiveness of brainwave training by observing the pre and post brainwave measurement results of about 48 (experimental group 24, comparative group24) subjects who have shown resistancestress and student assessment. The study took place at neuro-training center in P city I, during Jul. 2008 and Dec. 2008. As the brainwaves are adjusted by Brain Quotient, the tool used to measure the student assessment was 5Likert Scale questionnaire. The result confirmed the differences of both resistance stress quotient and student assessment. The result of the study suggest brainwave technique's possibility in positively affecting the subjects" resistance stress quotient and student assessment. This study revealed meaningful relation between neurofeedback training and stress among several categoties, while suggesting follow-up researches figuring out more detailed explanations.
The Research about Expected Hospital Management in Gynecology area based on the Medical Information Record of a University Hospital

This research is based on the medical information record of a university hospital on analysis of outpatients, inpatients and delivery related information in gynecology area. The result of application having analysis of patients as basic material for hospital management is as follows. The number of new patients in average was 140.9, and as the year passes by, it seemed to decrease noticeably(p=0.000). In the first year (2001) the number was only 212.6, but increased to 140 by the year of 2007, showing increase of 80.9. The actual number of patients in the hospital was 124.6 in average and it showed noticeable decrease after each year (p=0.000), from 144.6 patients on the first year 2001, to 104.8 patients in 2007, showing approximately 40 patients decreased. Multiple regression analysis was performed having independent variables as characteristics of patients and cause of delivery related factors, and dependent variables as the number of patients in the hospital. According to analysis, the cause of affecting the number of patients in the hospital was selected as the number of new patients, the number of delivery per year. The reliability rate was recorded as 62.8%. Therefore, apart from the services on marketing and patient management which must come first, the effect of inviting them cannot be avoided, which directly links to trust resulting from the consideration to patients.

In this article, I propose effective strategies for improving the Predictive Health Care. The results of qualitative study on health information show the following order from the highest score: whether health information is scientifically sound (
), whether people can easily understand health information (
), and whether health information reflects the public'sconcerns ((
), and whether health information includes enough information to satisfy the public (
). The most pressing reforms for the effective Predictive Health Care areto provide enough health information and regularly collection of information because the Predictive Health Care has not provided enough information, authoritative information has rarely been offered, and methodological limitations on producing and applying predictive information have not been addressed. Although the Predictive Health Care provides online services like web-based epidemic reporting system, it needs to extend services from the epidemic information to general health information because of lack of promoting the Predictive Health Care and of credibility of information offered so far. Lastly, the Predictive Health Care needs to strengthen efforts to collect information, form common grounds between information and the public's concerns, clarify classification system of information, and offer an easy way for the public to use information.
Health-Related Habits and Food Habits of the Elderly Living

This study was scale for subjective health-recognition related general factor, health habits and management, cancer recognition and provision. Methods : The subjects were elderly who voluntarily participated in the survey. Results : The Health recognition people 50.7% answered 'Normal'. The health condition should have obstructed a daily life, said that cognition cannot be good health recognition. The health control method was bad or normal group manages with the medical supply (foodstuffs inclusion) then again, the recognition good group was answered that did not tobacco and drink alcohol or prohibit do it. For ten years from now the health recognition about cancer occurrence possibility that the health recognition good group was rare possibility 42.7%, bad group was 52.0% and normal group was 47.6%. Conclusions : In health promotion priorities of elderly differed by gender and subjective health status. The regular exercise and health-related habit do as a favor the possibility of living is healthy.
Usefulness of Functional MRI for the study of concentration sheet

An experiment was conducted to examine the effects of ceramic sheet on concentration of students studies. To demonstrate the improvement in the concentration of study, we obtained functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), which has superior time resolution and measures brain noninvasively by using intrinsic contrast agent. As a result of Brainwave measurement, we could verify the blood flow's activate in the nearby frontal lobe related to memory process and noticeable ratio change in absolute alpha wave and beta wave after the analysis of Brainwave measurement. fMRI ascertains the physiological function of the brain and is being used to prevent the trouble medically that can be caused before and after the operation. For the visibility of cranial nerve network, many researches will be carried out to develope the product which is related to brain like concentration of study.

S. mutans, one of a major causal agents of dental caries, is component of the dental plaque and produces various organic acids such as lactic acid as the end-product of glycolysis. In this study, we are interested in comparing the gene expression of acid-shocked and control cells of S. mutans isolated from Korean with caries. Expression levels of gtfB, gtfC, gtfD and ftf were analyzed by Real-time PCR, when the cells were grown under 20 mM lactic acid stress in the exponential phase. The data showed reduced expression of these genes. S. mutans is known to have developed a variety of mechanisms to tolerate acid sterss. A more detailed analysis of the functions and interactions of acid stress proteins connecting the growth, stress tolerance, biofilm formation is under way.

The pharmacological profile of KR-31081, a nonpeptide
selective angiotensin receptor antagonist, was investigated by receptor binding studies, functional in vitro assays with rabbit aorta. KR-31081 inhibited the specific binding of
-angiotensin II to human recombinant
receptor with an 8.6-fold greater potency than losartan (
: 1.43 and 12.3 nM, respectively), but it did not inhibit the binding of [
] CGP 42112A to human recombinant
: higher than
for both). The Hill coefficient for the competition curve of KR-31081 against
receptor was not significantly different from unity (0.99). Scatchard analysis showed that KR-31081 interacted with human recombinant
receptor in a competitive manner, as with losartan. In functional studies with rabbit aorta, KR-31081 competitively inhibited the contractile response to angiotensin II (
values: 8.66) with 20-70% decrease in the maximum contractile responses, unlike losartan that showed competitive antagonism without any change in the maximum contractile responses to angiotensin II (
values: 7.59). These results suggest that KR-31081 is a highly potent
selective angiotensin II receptor antagonist with a mode of insurmountable antagonism to be developed as the exploratory potential of this compound.

The Korean pop music people enjoy today is mostly based on the pop music from foreign countries. Therefore, not only is the history very short, but also not much research is done in the Korean pop music field. Especially in terms related with the singing method, in other words the breathing and vocalization of Korean singers, it is difficult to define where it is actually situated. To add a little, it seems as if it is swarming somewhere in the middle of Korean traditional music singing methods and classical music vocalization. As pop music made its way into Korea, Korean singers had to go through many trial and errors to sing the songs of singers that had different physical conditions. Singers getting vocal nodules because of excessive vocalization, was not a surprise at that time. Yongphil Jo, a Korean singer, wanted to overcome his limits and maximize his vocal abilities. He found the answers in Korean traditional music. One of his representative songs, "The lady out the window", is one of Jo's title songs and it is the song that made a turning point in the Korean pop music vocalization. The purpose of this research is to understand the circumstances of Korean pop music through the periodical and musical background of the past and find out why the song (The lady out the window) was such an epochal vocal method at that time. Moreover, this paper covers how the breathing and vocalization is expressed by analyzing the flow, the emotional expressions, and the techniques of "The lady out the window."
Research On Factors for Adoption and Business performance of ASP Introduction - Focused on Cosmetic Industries

The analytic test results are as follows. This thesis categorized into independent variables, multiple factors, such as asset attributes, cost reduction expectation, corporate IT competence, service qualities, system adequacy, information security, easy system management, uncertain IT, supplier capacity, intra-industry competition. And, this research thesis categorized into moderators, the factor, such as the adequacy between suppliers and customers industries. And, this categorized into dependent variables, multiple factors, such as the effects of ASP introduction. But, it was analyzed that only cost reduction expectation out of independent variables had not positive effects on the effects of ASP introduction. And, it was confirmed that the higher communications between suppliers and customers' industries, and the higher fulfillment of contracts, suppliers' service qualities, and suppliers' cooperation with customers had the adjusting effects on factors of ASP-based introduction.
