A Robust Method for Automatic Generation of Moire Reference Phase from Noisy Image

This paper presents the automatic vision algorithm to generate and calibrate reference phase plane to improve the accuracy of 3D measuring machine of using phase shifting projection moire method, which is not traditional N-bucket method, but is based on direct image processing method to the pattern projection image. Generally, to acquire accurate reference phase plane, the calibration specimen with well treated surface is needed, and detailed calibration method should be performed. For the cost reduction of specimen manufacturing and the calibration time reduction, on the specimen, not specially designed, with general accuracy level, an efficient calibration procedure for the reference phase generation is proposed. The proposed vision algorithm is developed to extract the line center points of the projected line pattern from acquired images, derive the line feature information consisting of its slope and intercept by using sampled feature points, and finally generate the related reference phase between line pairs. Experimental results show that the proposed method make reference phase plane with a good accuracy under noisy environment and the proposed algorithm can reduce the total cost to make high accurate calibration specimen, also increase the accuracy of reference phase plane, and reduce the complex calibration procedure to move grid via N-bucket algorithm precisely.
Generation of Three Dimensional Road Surface Profiles with Considering Coherence Relation

This paper presents a technique to generate road surface profiles in a spatial domain using a power spectral density function. A single track power spectral density function is proposed to describe a road surface profile, which is also applicable for multi-track vehicle response analysis. The roads in lateral direction makes the relation between the coherence of the lateral tracks. The derived road surfaces are compared to ISO(International Organization for Standardization) standards. Generated road profiles are in good agreements with the target road PSD shape and measured coherence relation.

The advance of scientific technology is enhanced the effect of reaction. The trend of customer for high function product is enlarged. The example of this fusion effect is that `ubiquitous or wearable computer` which is combined the function of cloth and computing, which is including any type, any purpose, any telecommunication and any multimedia of cloth inside. In this paper, the development of multipurpose smartware(wearable computer) powered by solar energy is introduced.

In this work, the punchless piercing process with application of alternate high pressure has been proposed as a method to obtain pierced holes having nearly vertical wall over thin metal plates. In this paper, we study the communication based train control technology which has been improved for the railroad operation efficiency. All the signalling systems currently used in Korea are track circuit based train control systems, which train mobility and safety are considered on. When it comes to the recent abroad trend, development for communication based train control system, which arises new paradigm in the field of high density train separation, have been promoted. Considering the urgent necessity to develop the above mentioned technology, we would like to propose the research and development of communication based train control system and the present domestic and foreign statuses of on-board equipment development. In this paper, therefore, we had been developed localization on-board equipment of communication based train control system, which is the key construction of train control systems. For its verification, we accomplished installation and yard test on-board equipment of communication based train control system on Bundang-line`s EMU(Electrical Multiple Unit).
Power Efficient Scan Order Conversion for JPEG-Embedded ISP

A scan order converter has to be placed before the JPEG encoder to provide
blocks from the pixels in raster scan order. Recently a hardware architecture has been proposed to implement a scan converter based on the single line memory. Since both read and write accesses happen at each cycle, however, the largest part of the entire power budget is occupied by the SRAM itself. In this paper, the data packing and unpacking procedure is inserted in the processing chain, such that the access frequency to the SRAM is reduced to 1/8 by adopting a packed larger data unit. The simulation results show that the resultant power consumption is reduced down to 16% for the SXGA resolution.
Design of a New Balanced Power Amplifier Utilizing the Reflected Input Power

This paper proposed a new balanced power amplifier using the reflected input of conventional balanced power amplifiers composed of branch line hybrid coupler. In general, the single-ended amplifier in balanced amplifiers does not have the perfect matching, so the reflected input power, in other words the leakage power, is terminated conventionally at the isolation port of hybrid coupler. However in this work, the leakage power is injected into the auxiliary amplifier, and its output power is combined to the output power of balanced amplifier. Therefore output power, efficiency, and 2-tone IMD3 performances of the proposed balanced amplifier are highly improved compared to the conventional balanced amplifier. For the verification of the proposed balanced amplifier, a conventional balanced amplifier and the proposed balanced amplifier are designed, fabricated and measured, and the measured results are compared. The proposed balanced amplifier shows the improvement in the output power(Pout), power added efficiency (PAE), and 2-tone IMD3 by 3dB, 5.2%, and
, respectively, from the measurement.

Present, a portable battery have problem that the volume increases according to capacity Increase. Direct Methanol Fuel Cell is alternative by solution plan of this problem. In this paper, the characteristics of DMFC are analyzed by change in concentration and discharge of fuel in natural convection and room temperature condition. According to the analysis result, polarization by delay of diffusion velocity of hydrogen ion appeared in methanol of low concentration. And if have a lot of supplies of methanol, generation power declines by electric cell cooling effect.
A Design of Broadband N-way Resistance Power Divider

In this paper, N-way resistance power divider is described for wideband frequency characteristic. For this, we derived in design equation of a N-way resistance power divider using 3-way resistance power divider. We designed 8-way resistance power divider that can divide same power by 7 output and measurement result of fabricated resistance power divider is observed to prove the validity of derived design equation. Fabricated resistance power divider shown equal power division ratio and reflection loss displayed excellent characteristic by about -25dB in broadband from DC to 3GHz.
Efficient Hardware Architecture for Histogram Equalization Algorithm for Image Enhancement

The histogram equalization algorithm is the most crucial algorithm for image enhancement. Since its direct hardware implementation always requires a divider or multiplier, its implementation cost tends to increas as the image resolution is increased or diverse image resolutions are handled. In this paper, we propose a divider-free reconstruction of histogram equalization algorithm and the corresponding hardware architecture. The logic synthesis results show that the proposed scheme can reduce the logic gate count by 84.2% compared to the conventional implementation example when the UXGA resolution is considered.

In order to achieve color constancy, this paper proposes a method that can detect an invariant direction that affects formation of an intrinsic image significantly, using eigenvector in the
-chromaticity space. Firstly, image is converted into datum in the
-chromaticity space which was suggested by Finlayson et al. Secondly, it removes datum, like noises, with low probabilities that may affect an invariant direction. Thirdly, so as to detect the invariant direction that is consistent with a principal direction, the eigenvector corresponding to the largest eigenvalue is calculated from datum extracted above. Finally, an intrinsic image is acquired by recovering datum with the detected invariant direction. Test images were used as parts of the image data presented by Barnard et al., and detection performance of invariant direction was compared with that of entropy minimization method. The results of experiment showed that our method detected constant invariant direction since the proposed method had lower standard deviation than the entropy method, and was over three times faster than the compared method in the aspect of detection speed.
Technique for production and encoding of New dot-type Print Watermark Pattern

In this paper, the technique for production and encoding of new dot-type print watermark is proposed. The print watermark has characteristics similar to those of the digital watermark and function as link which change various first informations(texts, symbols, figures, etc) on the printed matter to secondary contents (sound, video, character, etc) corresponding each to informations on the printed matter. The proposed dot-type print watermark pattern is represented as
area and dots are printed on only 23 elements of
matrix. The size of each dot is so small(0.02mm)that it can not be seen. Because position of printed dots correspond to the position of each digit in binary notation in this paper, they are encoded easily and there are about 8,000,000 watermark patterns enough to express first information of printed matters. It was showed that the proposed print watermark patterns are recognized without difficulty by the own recognition device.
Automatic Generation of Software Test Cases using CFG

A grammar-based test case generation (GBTG) algorithm takes a grammar G and generates a subset of the language L(G) accepted by G, and called test cases for software product testing. As most languages specified with CFG are recursive, usually L(G) is so large that it is not practical to execute all the of the generated cases. Therefore, this paper presents some "tags" : extra-grammatical annotations which are designed to restrict the generation. A number of control mechanisms have been developed to prune the number of test cases generated while still producing a test set that covers the majority of inputs to the system.
The Development of Integrated Sensor System for Measuring Simultaneously ECG, PPG and PPW

The pulse transit time(PTT), which is determined by measuring the electrocardiogram(ECG) and pulse wave, gives comprehensive information about the cardiovascular system. However, a little movement of body and/or inaccurate pressure applied to skin during the measurement of pulse wave leads to acquire incorrect results. To overcome such problem, we developed an integrated sensor system which makes it possible to measure ECG, pressure pulse wave(PPW) and photoplethysmograph(PPG) at the same time. Futhermore, we implemented a new metal electrode which enables to continuously measure ECG. We verified that both integrated sensor system and new electrode provide useful effect.
A Study on the E-Document Encrypted using the Effective key Management Method

It also increases the competitive power of the nation. With all these merits of electronic documents, there exist threats to the security such as illegal outflow, destroying, loss, distortion, etc. Currently, the techniques to protect the electronic documents against illegal forgery, alteration or removal are not enough. Until now, various security technologies have been developed for electronic documents. However, most of them are limited to prevention of forgery or repudiation. Cryptography for electronic documents is quite heavy that direct cryptography is not in progress. Additionally, key management for encryption/decryption has many difficulties that security has many weak points. Security has inversely proportional to efficiency. It is strongly requested to adopt various cryptography technologies into the electronic document system to offer more efficient and safer services. Therefore, this paper presents some problems in cryptography technologies currently used in the existing electronic document systems, and offer efficient methods to adopt cryptography algorithms to improve and secure the electronic document systems. To validate performance of proposed method compare with the existing cryptographies, critical elements have been compared, and it has been proved that the proposed method gives better results both in security and efficiency.
Analysis on Characteristics of Variation in Flood Flow by Changing Order of Probability Weighted Moments

In this research, various characteristics of South Korea`s design flood have been examined by deriving appropriate design flood, using data obtained from careful observation of actual floods occurring in selected main watersheds of the nation. 19 watersheds were selected for research in Korea. The various characteristics of annual rainfall were analyzed by using a moving average method. The frequency analysis was decided to be performed on the annual maximum flood of succeeding one year as a reference year. For the 19 watersheds, tests of basic statistics, independent, homogeneity, and outlier were calculated per period of annual maximum flood series. By performing a test using the LH-moment ratio diagram and the Kolmogorov-Smirnov (K-S) test, among applied distributions of Gumbel (GUM), Generalized Extreme Value (GEV), Generalized Logistic (GLO) and Generalized Pareto (GPA) distribution was found to be adequate compared with other probability distributions. Parameters of GEV distribution were estimated by L, L1, L2, L3 and L4-moment method based on the change in the order of probability weighted moments. Design floods per watershed and the periods of annual maximum flood series were derived by GEV distribution. According to the result of the analysis performed by using variation rate used in this research, it has been concluded that the time for changing the design conditions to ensure the proper hydraulic structure that considers recent climate changes of the nation brought about by global warming should be around the year 2002.
Lateral- Torsional Buckling Strength of Monosymmetric Doubly Stepped I-Beam subjected to Pure Bending

This study investigates elastic lateral-torsional buckling(LTB) of monosymmetric doubly stepped I-beams subjected to pure bending based on finite element analysis(FEA). The results from the FEA are used for new design stepped equation, Cst. The equations are compared with the results from the FEA. The comparison indicates that the new equation provides a good relation with the FEA results. The maximum difference between two results is of 11%. The new equation could be easily used to calculate the elastic lateral-torsional buckling moment resistance of monosymmetric stepped I-beams and to expand the new equation for developing LTB equations of monosymmetric stepped beams subjected to general loading conditions such as a concentrated load, distributed load, or a seres of concentrated load.
Estimating Unit Load of Non-Point Source Pollutants for Landuse Types in Anseongchun Watershed

In this study, we computed the unit load of nonpoint source for the forest, agricultural, and urban representative region in Anseongchun watershed. In addition, Flow-weighted mean concentration (FWMC) that well represents runoff characteristics of storm water during rainfall, was calculated, and runoff pollutants loading was also examined. FWMCs of 1st rainfall, which runoff coefficient was high, had a tendency higher than those of 2nd rainfall. Based on landuse results, pollutant concentration of the non-urban such as forest and agricultural regions was higher than that of urban region. In case of BOD, runoff pollutants loading was calculated as 1,395, 1,623, 2,268kg/d in 1st rainfall for forest, agricultural, and urban regions, respectively, while runoff loading of 2nd rainfall was 503kg/d in forest), 512kg/d in agricultural, and 898kg/d in urban. By landuses, unit load of the urban as 72.7kg/ha/yr was 12 times higher than that of the agricultural as 6.5kg/ha/yr, and 8 times higher than that of the forest as 9.5kg/ha/yr.
Strategy Typology in Turbulent Environment: Cases from the Korean Exporting Organizations

The study revisits Miles and Snow`s strategy typology to investigate the performance relationship with the strategic behavior. Where the most strategy typology researches discern the typology by the respondent`s survey such as choosing the best representative behavior for the organization, we developed the strategic typology by the organization`s behavior such as marketing strategy, research and development strategy and members` attitudes to the quality. The financial crisis in Korea has reestablished organizational behavior. The study emphasized the changing attitudes of strategy. The results demonstrate that prospector organizations outperform other strategic behavior organizations.
The Analysis on the Change of Behaviors of Exchange Rate between Two Countries related to FTA and the Prospects

This study intends to discuss the influence on behaviors of won/dollar exchange rate after a FTA between Korea and US come into effect. The change of behaviors of won/dollar exchange rate has been looked into concerning other countries who have signed a FTA pact with the US, and these examples were compared with that of Korea so as to find similarities and differences. As a result of analyses, behaviors of exchange rate between FTA-pact countries were showed differently. Volatility and risk premium somewhat decreased after the FTA took effect except for Chile. As for Chile, showing intense volatility, foreign exchange risk premium rather increased. It can be concluded that the relationship between volatility and risk premium of individual exchange rate is established and FTA can influence change of these behaviors of exchange rate depending on the situation of individual country. This study will contribute to offer informations to Korea trading companies related to IT that will have to prepare for the uncertainties of change of exchange rate due to FTA between Korea and US.
Exploratory Study on the Critical Success Factor for Medical Tourism

Health care has become one of the paramount issues of the 21st century as governments and individuals grapples the complex problems associated with contemporary medical care such as cost, affordability, and shifting demographic trends. The purpose of this study was to develop the critical success factors of medical tourism for health-care organizations and to measure the wights of these factors. For this purpose, we gathered the data from doctors, travelling agencies and scholars. about the success factors of medical tourism. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis was carried out to determine the factors as the Critical Success Factors of medical tourism. We did also the research to evaluate the validity and reliability of these factors. After that the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) was applied to analyze the weight and significances among these factors. Factor analysis resulted in 15 major factors (Eigenvalue > 1.0). The AHP analysis showed the list of Critical Success Factors weighted by its significance priorities. The recommendable degree of reliability and validity suggests that these factors could be the valuable refences for the policy making process of the medical tourism in Korea.
A Fuzzy AHP based Decision-making Model for Selecting a Telecommunication Company

This paper proposes a fuzzy AHP based decision-making model to select a telecommunication company and the target of the proposed model is university students in the capital area. When customers select a telecommunication company, they have difficulty in decision-making because there are many competitive and complementary factors of telecommunication companies. To select a best telecommunication company, customers need to consider a number of different quantitative and qualitative factors such as fare, various services, additional function, etc. In this study, we suggest a fuzzy AHP based decision-making model to select a telecommunication company considering various quantitative and qualitative factors. Especially, fuzzy theory is applied to deal with the unclear or ambiguous problems, and a linear normalization model is developed to convert the value of quantitative factors to fuzzy number. A empirical example which is the target of the university students in the capital area shows the feasibility of the proposed model and it can help customers to make better decision-making for their benefits.

A Layout Comparison Study for Improving Semiconductor Fab System

The importance of improving semiconductor fab layout has been increased with the necessity of a large-scale capital investment and the increase of manufacturing complexity of the system. For the present, most semiconductor fab takes the form of a bay type layout where the same types of machines has been laid at the same bay. The bay type layout has many disadvantages in respect of material flow control even though it has merits of flexibility. To overcome the drawbacks of the bay type layout, a new room type semiconductor layout which integrates bays without a center spine and maintains the flexibilities of the bay type has been presented and compared with existing layouts. The results of test show that the room type layout is superior to the existing layouts from standpoints of transportation number and time, foot-print, number of stocker being passed and material flow time.

Peak expiratory flow rate(PEF) is a very important diagnostic parameter obtained from the forced vital capacity(FVC) test. The expiratory flow rate increases during the short initial time period and may cause measurement error in PEF particularly due to non-ideal dynamic characteristic of the transducer. The present study evaluated the initial rise slope(
) on the flow rate signal to compensate the transducer output data. The 26 standard signals recommended by the American Thoracic Society(ATS) were generated and flown through the velocity-type respiratory air flow transducer with simultaneously acquiring the transducer output signal. Most PEF and the corresponding output(
) were well fitted into a quadratic equation with a high enough correlation coefficient of 0.9997. But only two(ATS#2 and 26) signals resulted significant deviation of
with relative errors>10%. The relationship between the relative error in
was found to be linear, based on which
data were compensated. As a result, the 99% confidence interval of PEF error was turned out to be approximately 2.5%, which was less than a quarter of the upper limit of 10% recommended by ATS. Therefore, the present compensation technique was proved to be very accurate, complying the international standards of ATS, which would be useful to calibrate respiratory air flow transducers.

The purpose of this study was to estimate the change of prevalence rate of obesity, also to know the relevant factors for 10 years in korean adults, which targets on the 5,420(4,556 men and 864 women) people who had undergone one biennial medical health check-up through the National Health Insurance Corporation from 1997 to 2007. As a results, the prevalence rate of obesity increased 11.0% point from 20.9% in the initial year(1997) to 31.9% in the final year(2007) for the recent decades and this is related to the socio-demographic characteristics, health-related, and eating habits.
A Study on Factors of Management of Diabetes Mellitus using Data Mining

The Objectives: The purpose of this study is to identify the factors related to management of DM in Korea. Methods: The subjects selected by using data of National Health and Nutrition Survey(NHANS) in 2005 were 415 adults, aged 20 and older, and diagnosed with DM. This study used data mining algorithms. This study validated the predictive power of data mining algorithms by comparing the performance of logistic regression, decision tree, and Neural Network on the basic of validation, it was found that the model performance of decision tree was the best among the above three techniques. Result: First, awareness of DM was positively associated with age, residential area, and job. The most important factor of DM awareness is age. Awareness rate of DM with 52 age over is 76.1%. Among the
age group, an important factor is family history. Among patients who are 52 years or over with family history of DM, an important factor is job. The awareness rate of patients who are 52 age over, family, history of DM, and professionals is 95.0%. Second, treatment of DM was also positively associated with awareness, region, and job. The most important factor of DM treatment is DM awareness. Treatment rate of patients who are aware of DM is 84.8%. Among patients who have awareness of DM, an important factor is region. The awareness rate of patients who are aware of DM in rural area is 10.4%. Conclusion: Finally, the result of analysis suggest that DM management programs should consider group characteristic of DM patients.
A Study on sebum, moisture of Skin Change by Skin Type after Deep cleansing

The order to see how the deep cleansing change sebum and moisture condition by skin type, 20 persons with dry skin and oily skin were divided into two groups of scrub group and enzyme group and given the deep cleansing care, totaling 8 time. After 8 times of the deep cleansing care, the scrub group showed a valid change with oily skin while the enzyme group showed a valid change with dry skin. However, both groups did not have change a moisture with any skin types. The outcome from the questionnaire that had been done to find subjective feeling indicated that oil change resulted in a valid feeling whereas change of moisture and sensitivity were barely felt.

Development of Nursing Process Information System for the Home Health Care

We carried out this study to reduce the gaps between medical institutes and between medical personnels and help to improve medical service quality, by classifying diagnoses and related intervention through the development of standard nursing intervention and by computerizing protocols. We considered two processes: one is the development process of home nursing standard intervention, and the other is the process of computerizing its related protocols. For the former, research covered analysis of home health care practices, development of client assessment protocol, of patients diagnosis protocols, and of patients intervention protocol. For the latter, strategies for home health care information systems should be set up and it constituted four research contents of analysis, design, management and evaluation of the systems. We also trained and educated home nurses who work at home health service center, by making them use the manual of home health care information systems at a certain city of P. In this study, therefore, we developed elements of standard home health care mediation so that they could be included in the forms of home health information note, home health progress note, and home health progress summary, home health discharge summary. Because standard home health care intervention has been developed, it became easier to exchange information between different home heath service center offices, can prevent from missing or redundant information, and contribute to standardization of hospital terminologies when EMR and HMR are developed.

Removal Efficiency from Traditional Herbal Medicine Using Traditional & Electronic Medicine Boilers

The purpose of this study is to determine the most efficient method of removing sulfur dioxide from traditional herbal medicine (hanyak) by slow boiling using a traditional pipkin and an electronic slow boiler. By boiling a hanyak batch containing] 56.4ppm of sulfur dioxide for one hour using a traditional pipkin, 96.7 percent of the sulfur dioxide was removed, while two hours of slow boiling removed ]00 percent. Among different cover materials placed over the pipkin during the slow boiling process including the traditional Korean paper (hanji), regular hanji, filter paper and regular paper, the traditional hanji produced the best performance of sulfur dioxide removal. The initial pH level of the traditional hanji was] 0.03. After one hour of slow boiling hanyak batches in a traditional pipkin covered with traditional hanji, where each batch contained sulfur dioxide of 48ppm, 193ppm, 753ppm and 1,506ppm respectively, the pH level of the hanji cover material was reduced to 9.37, 9.14, 8.9 and 8.03 in respective cases. Our experiment using an electronic medicine slow boiler showed 82.8 percent removal of sulfur dioxide after one hour of slow boiling a hanyak batch containing 753ppm of sulfur dioxide. When hanyak batches were boiled by placing traditional hanji, filter paper, active carbon and hardwood charcoal separately in the middle area within the electronic slow boiler, the sulfur dioxide removal rate was 73.6 percent, 72.8 percent, 73.9 percent and 69.5 percent, respectively. When charcoal was added so as to remove toxic materials from the hanyak, its presence impeded the sulfur dioxide flow and thus reduced the removal efficiency contrary to our anticipation.
A Study on the Treatment Status and Treatment Compliance of Diabetics Who Visited the Health Centers of Daejeon City

This study has been conducted from July 30, 2007 to February 24, 2008 on 677 patients who were receiving diabetic treatment at the Health Centers of Deajeon City to find out their blood sugar level adjustment and their treatment compliance. As a result, 58.5% of them showed less than 200mg/dl of blood sugar level, and 67.9% showed their HbA1C of less than 7%, meaning that many of diabetic patients did not have their blood sugar level properly adjusted. And their after-meal blood sugar level and HbA1C adjustment varied depending upon the Health Centers. 88.0% of them were taking medicines for diabetic treatment regularly, and many of them were recognizing the need of dietary and exercise therapies to treat their diabetes. In conclusion, patients were recognizing that regular intakes of medicines, dietary and exercise therapies were very helpful to treatment of diabetes, but their treatments of HbA1C and blood level adjustment were not properly done as shown by their after-meal blood sugar level. The results were greatly different between the Health Centers, so there is a great need to cope with this situation.
