The developed system is captured by RS-232 telecommunication receiving data (temperature and humidity of each incubator) through radio frequency sensor network system and is made by monitoring system for one person collecting each channel data. This monitoring system is capable of monitoring not only PDA through TCP/IP telecommunication but also personal computer. This system is actively application on telecommunication function of LabVIEW and PDA module and is considerably saved in processing time than using in other tools.
Property of Sintered Y2O3-stabilized Zirconia from Scrap Powders

We newly propose that we may reuse scrap powders (
-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) sintered products through sintering process at 1550
for 2hrs. We also prepared the reference specimen from fresh
powder mixture (celluar type with 1㎛-length). The reference sample showed a dense microstructure with grains of
10㎛ in diameter, while the sintered sample from scrap powder showed irregular grains of 1
30 ㎛ in diameter. Through XRD analysis, we confirmed that the reference sample has mixed phases of
(monoclinic), while the sintered YSZ sample from scrap powder has only tetragonal phase. Moreover, the sintered YSZ from scrap powder showed vickers hardness and apparent density more than 70 and 4.11 g/cc, which implies that it can be suitable for structural material application.
Experimental Study on Cooling Performance of A/C applied Fin-tube and PF Heat Exchangers

In the present study, the cooling performance characteristics on environment changes of A/C applied fin-tube and PF heat exchangers were experimentally investigated. Capacity and COP on an air velocity, an indoor/outdoor temperature and an indoor/outdoor relative humidity were obtained. Fin types of PF heat exchanger were a triangler and squarer form. The experimental data for the three kinds of heat exchangers were measured using the air-enthalpy calorimeter. Performance of PF A/C was more excellent than that of a fin-tube A/C. Also, the performance of PF-2 A/C with the squarer fin was more excellent than that of PF-1 A/C with the triangler fin. As the air velocity, the indoor temperature and the indoor relative humidity increase, capacity and COP increase. And as outdoor temperature increases, capacity and COP decrease. But, the performance change on the outdoor relative humidity was insignificant.
A development of an independent electric power generating portable flashlight by using solar battery

In this study, a portable flashlight which can manually generate the electricity by using sunlight was developed so that it can be used in the extreme environmental condition such as no-electricity condition. Battery is charged by using solar battery during the day, but when sunlight is not avalible during the night or rainy day, a handle is rotated to generate the electricity in order to charge the battery manually. To improve the brightness of the light, light is concentrated by using the optical lens. Low electric consumption circuit is used for the longer operating time by suppress electrical consumption while lamp is discharged. A circuit is designed and used for steady electrical curris dand voltage to insure steady battery charging. Super-discharge circuit and protection circuit are used for the super discharge of battery when it is not used for a long time. Also the constant charge is possible by using houseware adapter. As a result, a portable flashlight is designed to charge with sunlight during day, and with houseware adapter during night. A portable flashlight is also designed to irradiate longer distances by improvement of the brightness of the light using the optical lens. Thus, it forms white natural ray of light making possible for night reading.
A study on the Operation Algorithm for Bi-directional Sectonalizer in Distribution System Interconnected with Distributed Generations

Abstract The typical distribution systems have the power flow from distribution substations (sources) to customers (load) only as one direction. However, in the case where distributed generations (DG) such as PV system and wind power systems are connected to distribution systems, the DG output variations to distribution systems, so called reverse power flow, may cause the bi-directional power flow. So, the reverse power flow has severe impacts on typical power system, for example power quality problems, protection coordination problems, and so on. Especially, protection devices (sectionalizer) in primary feeder of distribution system interconnected with distributed generations may cause problems of malfunction, and then many customers could have problems like an interruption. So, this paper presents the bi-directional operation algorithm of protection devices to overcome the problems like mal-function. And, also this paper shows the effectiveness of proposed method by using both PSCAD/EMTDC software and test facility of protection devices to simulate the field distribution systems.
Development of Arc-Fault Detection Technique

In 2007, 9,128 fires were actually caused by electrical faults and these fires resulted in 29 deaths and 262 injuries. Arc-faults were one of the major causes of these fires. When an unintended arc-fault occurs, it generates intense heat that can easily ignite surrounding combustibles. But, because conventional circuit breakers only respond to overloads, short circuits, and leakage currents, the breakers do not protect against arcing conditions. This paper presents results obtained in experiments on ignition behavior of wire by series arc fault currents and techniques developed to detect the arc-faults. The developed technique was tested after installation to make sure that they are working properly and protecting the circuit. If the developed arc fault detection technique is applied, the electrical fires caused by an arc-fault can be reduced.
Design of a Cascaded Distributed Amplifier using Medium Power Devices

A design of cascaded distributed amplifier with a broadband amplification is described in this paper. A medium power device with 23dBm, max output power under the optimal narrow-band power matching condition is adopted for the design and fabrication of the cascaded distributed amplifier. In general, conventional distributed amplifiers with the parallel connected input ports have a low gain, and previous cascaded distributed amplifiers show a relatively low output power of 10dBm at most, which is the upper limit of small signal amplification. Study on the Propagation Speed of the wide-area power system frequency for the application of FNET

This paper analyzes the propagation speed of the wide-area power system frequency. When a generator supplying the electric power to the grid is accidently tripped due to a disturbance on the systems, power system frequency suddenly drops during the transient period and this propagates from the location of the tripped generator to the other part of the systems like a wave. Since the propagation speed of the power system frequency depends on the own characteristics of power systems, its understanding from the perspective of the wide-area can help us in understanding power systems more correctly. In addition, the propagation speed of the power system frequency is used as a key parameter in the application study of IT based on the internet-based GPS synchronized frequency monitoring network (FENT) which has been recently implemented and operated in U.S. power systems. This paper simulates the generation trip on various locations in U.S. power systems deploying its latest dynamic model and calculates the propagation speed of the power system frequency for the application of FNET.
A De-interleaving Method of Frequency Agility Radar Signals in Comparison with PRI`s of radars

In this paper, we present new signal de-interleaving method for the frequency agility radar in which the carrier frequency is changed irregularly. Generally radar use a fixed carrier frequency, and it is easy for electronic warfare system to de-interleave the radar signal with respect to the frequency, pulse width(PW), and direction of signal arriving(DOA). In frequency agility radar, it is difficult to de-interleave the radar signals according to the carrier frequency because the frequency is changed irregularly. We suggest a good de-interleaving method to identify the frequency agility radar signals in comparison with PRI`s of radars. First we calculate pulse repeat Interval(PRI) of radar in linked-list and queue structure and de-interleave the radar signals with PRI, PW, and DOA, then identify the frequency agility radar. When we use the proposed algorism to the frequency agility radar, we have a good de-interleaving results with electronic warfare systems.

Rendering States Changing Costs Reducing Technique for Real-time 3D Graphics

In real-time 3D Graphics, pipeline optimization is one of techniques enhancing rendering performance. Pipeline optimization is kind of buffer reordering problem, but it is NP-hard. Therefore techniques that is approximating optimal solution and suitable for real-time 3D graphics are needed. This paper analyze pattern of rendering states changing costs for real-time 3D graphics, and based on this, the algorithm that brings rendering states into line by changing costs is proposed. The proposed technique shows good performance enhancement when costs of some rendering states are much higher than others. Proposed technique shows 2.5 to 4 times better performance than non-ordering algorithm and becomes more faster when rendering costs of a state gets higher.

The quality evaluation of software reliability for digital rights management rating will lead and as the technique it will be able to induce the quality increase of digital copyright management software the strategic engineering development which accommodates an international standard there is a possibility which an objectivity and an application degree it will raise. As general use of Mobile devices, the integration operations between the Home network is active. For popularization of Home network interface of normalizing in user`s use convenience offer must, and developer must be able to cope sensitively in change development and requirement, hereafter such as maintenance with normalized interface environment. In the case of Home network, because several terminal information devices have to be used to a Home server, user establishment and exclusion should be easy and should adapt fast in requirement alteration and maintenance. In this paper, we designed and implemented mobile home network components with applied efficient information transmission interface that can be applied to the various application of OSGi platform. These components can respond quickly of user requirements and maintenance and that can be reuse and evolved.
Study on Measuring Geometrical Modification of Document Image in Scanning Process

Scanner which is a kind of optical devices is used to convert paper documents into document image files. The assessment of scanned document image is performed to check if there are any modification on document image files in scanning process. In assessment of scanned documents, user checks the degree of skew, noise, folded state and etc This paper proposed to how to measure geometrical modifications of document image in scanning process. In this study, we check the degree of modification in document image file by image processing and we compare the evaluation value which means the degree of modification in each items with OCR success ratio in a document image file. To analyse the correlation between OCR success ratio and the evaluation value which means the degree of modification in each items, we apply Pearson Correlation Coefficient and calculate weight value for each items to score total evaluation value of image modification degrees on a image file. The document image which has high rating score by proposed method also has high OCR success ratio.

Folksonomy is a user-generated taxonomy to organize information by which a user assigns tags to resources published on the web. Triadic datas that indicate relations of between users, tags, and resources, are created by collaborative tagging from many users in folksonomy-based system. Such the folksonomy data has been utilized in the field of the semantic web and web2.0 as metadata about web resources. In this paper, we propose FCA-based folksonomy data mining approach in order to extract the useful information from folksonomy data with various points of view. And we developed tool for supporting our approach. In order to verify the usefulness of our proposed approach and FMT, we have done some experiments for data of del.icio.us, which is a popular folksonomy-based bookmarking system. And we report about result of our experiments.
Development of Mobile Performance Management System Using Real-Time Monitoring Method

As the spread of LBS(Location Based Service), MDT(Mobile Data Terminal) and PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) services using mobile terminals, various systems are under development to to manage the performance of these services. This paper describes a mobile performance management system which is implemented to test the performance of mobility between the user and the terminal or between the terminal and the mobile server automatically in the mobile-user field. The system has four modules: scenario management module, MDT monitoring, LBS monitoring, and PDA monitoring. The scenario management module manages the performance by monitoring all modules. The LBS monitoring module monitors LBS call attempt stage, call connecting stage, and LBS test for established connection. Thus, the LBS monitoring module manages the performance for every stage of the call. The MDT monitoring module monitors the performance according to the input command and the PDA monitoring module monitors according to the input from the set up and the execution menu.
The Comparative Study of Software Optimal Release Time Based on Weibull Distribution Property

In this paper, we were researched decision problem called an optimal release policies after testing a software system in development phase and transferring it to the user. The applied model of release time exploited infinite failure non-homogeneous Poisson process This infinite failure non-homogeneous Poisson process is a model which reflects the possibility of introducing new faults when correcting or modifying the software. The failure life-cycle distribution used the Weibull distribution which has the efficient various property which has the place efficient quality. Thus, optimal software release policies which minimize a total average software cost of development and maintenance under the constraint of satisfying a software reliability requirement becomes an optimal release policies. In a numerical example, after trend test applied and estimated the parameters using maximum likelihood estimation of inter-failure time data, estimated software optimal release time.

Currently, the evaluation technology for the security systems of risk analysis level measurement is maintained by only the developed countries including U.S and U.K, and the evaluation technology and its infrastructure are insufficient for the evaluation technology of security threat analysis level measurement in Korea. Therefore this paper presents the development of the security control items and the evaluation tool(ISSPET) for the security level performance. It is expected to evaluate the security management level of the current system and its security environment through analyzing the security management level of security systems using ISSPET.

`05. June, the first Internet banking accident occurred by the malignant cord. It discontinued security programs for protecting important financial informations. A computer hacker had made a collation of password, OTP(One Time Password) values etc and illegally withdraw one´s savings from the bank using the financial information. The attackers are continuously attempted with the hacking tool under bypass security programs as the vaccine program or the personal fire-wall. Therefore, an electronic financial system should be composed with the goal which is to protect financial informations from user`s terminal to a banking server. In this paper, we make an analysis of menaces in electronic financial transactions and explain considerable security issues to enhance safety in Internet banking, CD/ATM and mobile banking.
Implementation of the Blood Pressure and Blood Flow Variation Rate Detection System using Impedance Method

In this study, detection system of the blood flow variation rate was implemented using the variation effect of bio electric impedance at time of the blood pressure measurement by means of impedance method. The blood pressure measurement was performed by the oscillometric method. The mean arterial pressure was calculated using maximum amplitude algorithm. The systolic and diastolic pressure were estimated by establishment of the various characteristic ratio according to mean arterial pressure range. Alternative static current source and lock_in amplifier were introduced to impedance measurement. The variation of blood volume was measured using variation bio impedance according to induced cuff pressure at measuring area.

Modern enterprise may be in need of developing the right application programs under rapidly changing business environment in fast time-to-market. But Most of enterprise without business process mechanism are very hard to develop the application needed in time when it will be changing their business. To solve this problem, we propose the business process framework based on the closed architecture. This approach is to develop the right application with reusing software modules in time and easily under rapid business process changing/improving through mapping BPM(Business Process Model), SOA(Service Oriented Architecture), and CBD(Component Based Development). we also define 5-Layers of BPF(Business Process Framework), and BNF(Backus Naur Form) for structuring BPF.
A Study On The Improvement Of Vehicle Plate Recognition

Camera-captured car plate images contain much variation and noise and the character images in a plate are typically very small. We attempted to improve the plate identification efficiency suitable for this undesirable condition. We experimented various image preprocessing and feature extracting methods and the very effective features that can compensate one feature`s limitation is determined through extensive experiments. Finally two very effective features that can complement the limitations of each other feature(classifier) are determined and the efficiency is proved by recognition experiments. This approach is very necessary when handling plate character images which are typically small, various, and noisy. Individual classification result, confidence factor, region name relation and feedback verification are comprehensively considered to enhance the overall recognition efficiency. The efficiency of our method is verified by a recognition experiment using real car plate images taken from traffic roads.
Design and Implementation of Tiny TCP/IPv6 Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks

As a core technology realizing ubiquitous world, recent researches are being concentrated to wireless sensor network. However, most research results were focused to the sensor network technology itself, even though interworking between the sensor network and Internet is also one of primitive requirements for ubiquitous world. In this paper, we design the tiny TCP/IPv6 profile which makes it possible to inter-connect the sensor network device to IPv6 based Internet. To confirm operation of the designed profile, we experimentally implemented and evaluated minimum TCP/IPv6 based on TinyOS. The evaluation result shows that throughput of our tiny TCP/IPv6 is almost same as that of TinyOS component.
Design of an Massive Storage System based on the NAND Flash Memory

During past 20 years we have witnessed brilliant advances in major components of computer system, including CPU, memory, network device and HDD. Among these components, in spite of its tremendous advance in capacity, the HDD is the most performance dragging device until now and there is little affirmative forecasting that this problem will be resolved in the near future. We present a new approach to solve this problem using the NAND Flash memory. Researches utilizing Flash memory as storage medium are abundant these days, but almost all of them are targeted to mobile or embedded devices. Our research aims to develop the NAND Flash memory based storage system enough even for enterprise level server systems. This paper present structural and operational mechanism to overcome the weaknesses of existing NAND Flash memory based storage system, and its evaluation.
UML based Documentation for GLORY Software Architecture

It is more emphasized on the software architecture recently, as the scale of a software becomes huge and the need of the software management becomes more dynamic. Software architecture is a representation of structures of software framework just like the blueprint of building architecture. In order to describe software components and their relationships accurately and entirely, software architecture is documented in some different views, by using of modeling tools. UML(Unified Modeling Language) is a software modeling tool recently used for documentation of software and as well as software architecture. Nevertheless, what we have to agree with is that UML is not easy to use and its standard changed continuously. And also the documentation with UML is found some burden because of its difficulties in learning and using. This inconvenience enforces us to purchase and use commercial tool for UML. The study introduces the architecture views refined from 4+1 Views for architecture design and shows how to represent architecture views for software architecture. Especially, we simplifies UML diagrams for the purpose of focusing on architecture views and facile manipulation. At the end, we add the evaluation on the refined architecture views as well as refined UML diagram.

An e-Seal is an active RFID device that was set on the door of a container. e-Seal provides both the state of the seal and the remote control of the device automatically. But it has vulnerabilities like eavesdrop and impersonate because of using RFID system. A secure e-Seal authentication protocol must use PRF for encryption/decryption of reader and e-Seal. The existing PRF uses simple hash function such as MD5 or SHA which is not available for e-Seal. It is required to use strong hash functions. The hash function is a essential technique used for data integrity, message authentication and encryption in the mechanism of information security. Therefore, in this paper, we propose more secure and effective hash function based on polynomial for e-Seal authentication protocol.

A user often searches a data by inputting a variant such as the abbreviation or substring of a word, or a misspelled word. The simple approach to the searching for variants is to build a variants dictionary. However, it entails enormous cost and time and can not handle variants by misspelling. Approximate searching, searching by approximate string matching, is a good approach to the searching. A problem in the approach is that it cannot handle variants by abbreviations. This paper propose a method for searching various variants including abbreviations and misspelled words, by using the trie indexing. First, this paper shows a variant matching method with the calculation of path weighted-metric. In addition, it provides variant searching algorithm to reduce the search time.

Robust control for DC servo motor is needed according to the highest precision of industrial automation. However, when a motor control system with PID controller has an effect of load disturbance, it is very difficult to guarantee the robustness of control system. As a compensation method solving this problem, in this paper, PID-neural network hybrid control method for motor control system is presented. The output of neural network controller is determined by error and rate of error change occurring in load disturbance. The robust control of DC servo motor using neural network controller is demonstrated by computer simulation.
An Efficient Method for Mining Frequent Patterns based on Weighted Support over Data Streams

Recently, due to technical developments of various storage devices and networks, the amount of data increases rapidly. The large volume of data streams poses unique space and time constraints on the data mining process. The continuous characteristic of streaming data necessitates the use of algorithms that require only one scan over the stream for knowledge discovery. Most of the researches based on the support are concerned with the frequent itemsets, but ignore the infrequent itemsets even if it is crucial. In this paper, we propose an efficient method WSFI-Mine(Weighted Support Frequent Itemsets Mine) to mine all frequent itemsets by one scan from the data stream. This method can discover the closed frequent itemsets using DCT(Data Stream Closed Pattern Tree). We compare the performance of our algorithm with DSM-FI and THUI-Mine, under different minimum supports. As results show that WSFI-Mine not only run significant faster, but also consume less memory.

There are several methods to fabricate Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal(PDLC) films. One of them, so-called Nematic Curvilinear Aligned Phase(NCAP) film, is based on emulsion technology. To produce NCAP systems various water soluble polymers, such as partially hydrolyzed polyvinylalcohol(PVA) and polyvinyl pyrrolidone(PVP), which can form stable emulsion of liquid crystal(LC) without any stabilizers were used. In this work, we studied the dependence of emulsion stability on nature and composition of copolymers composed of water-soluble and water-insoluble moiety. We found that interfacial surface tension depends on the composition of comonomer, the copolymer concentration in the water, and the nature of hydrophobic chain. The Acrylamide -styrene(AA-ST) copolymer showed the lowest interfacial surface tension among the tested copolymers at the same concentration. Since the interfacial surface tension decreases with increasing the compatibility of copolymer with LC phase the AA-ST copolymer has the best compatibility with LC molecules. It is believed that molecules adsorbing easily on the surface of LC droplets allows the LC emulsion system to be more stable.

This study was to investigate the phytoplankton communities and phytohydrographic characteristics of the inside and outside of the Saemangeum Reservoir from May to November 2006 directly after dike construction. As the cluster analyses, phytohydrographic regions were devided into fresh river water and seawater regions, and the similarities between the sampling sites fluctuated temporarily. Distinctive phytohydrographic difference was shown between inside and outside of the dike in summer. After the dike construction, declining salinity and changing water quality have caused to change the phytoplankton communities and phytohygrographic regions.

The load carrying capacity of bridge structures in public use is generally evaluated without considering their actual behavioral characteristics. This study examined common errors taking place in the evaluation of load carrying capacity of bridge structures. In order to account for their current behavioral characteristics such as the boundary condition, we evaluated the load carrying capacity of a bridge in terms of axial force, which was calculated by applying deflection to the buckling equation for members with initial imperfections, and in terms of bending moment obtained from deflection.

This study investigates elastic lateral-torsional buckling(LTB) of T-beams subjected to pure bending using finite element analysis(FEA). The results from the FEA are compared with those from the current American Institute of Steel Council(AISC) Load and Resistance Factor Design(LRFD) Specifications. The comparison indicates that AISC-LRFD provide unsafe values for T-beam subjected to pure bending. Therefore, a new design equation are presented using results from the FEA. The new equation could be easily used to calculate the elastic lateral-torsional buckling moment resistance of T-beam for beam design and to expand the new equation for developing LTB equations of T-beam subjected to general loading conditions such as a concentrated load, distributed load, or a seres of concentrated load.

A Study on the Serviceability of High-Tension Bolt Friction Joints according to Oversize Bolt Holes

There can be some variation in the load carrying capacity of high-tension bolt friction joints when oversize bolt holes are made on the base plate and the cover plate. This study performed a static tensile test in order to examine the variation of slip load and slip coefficient according to standard bolt hole and oversize bolt hole in high-tension bolt friction joints. According to the results of the static tensile test, the slip coefficient changed to some degree according to oversize bolt holes on the base plate and the cover plate, but it was somewhat unreasonable to find a pattern in the change. Sliding strength showed a difference of up to 26% between the use of standard bolt holes and the use of oversize bolt holes. Because this exceeds the design sliding strength, however, its effect on the serviceability of joints under service load is insignificant. Thus, if the regulation on oversize bolt holes, which may be inevitable in making steel members, is applied flexibly, we may improve efficiency and economy in the design and construction of structures.
A Fatigue Stability Study of an Existing Bridge Due to Vehicle Load Direction Change

During a construction of a road, a temporary bridge is often connected to a existing bridge. In this case, a fatigue stability problem, which was not considered in the design of the bridge, can be occurred in the main girder of the existing bridge due to the vehicle load direction change. In this study, the fatigue stability of the main girder and cantilever slab of the bridge was tested with the allowable fatigue stress of the design specifications of the road bridge. The big stress change was occurred at 55m away from the support, and the middle of the span. Furthermore, the excess of the allowable fatigue stress of the design specifications of the road bridge was confirmed at the cross section. The bridge after the reinforcement was tested for the fatigue stability, and it was confirmed that the bridge is safe.
An Empirical Study in the Effects of Six Sigma Project Management System on Project Balanced Scorecard

While six sigma project management systems have been widely used as a knowledge management systems, no one has proposed an empirical explanation for impacts of project management systems on project performance. This study proposes a structural equation model of the project management system that relates learning/growth, internal growth, customer performance, and financial effects based on six sigma project performance. The relationships are investigated using data collected from a sample of green and black belts. The results indicate that there are a causal relationship with use of project management and learning/growth and internal process, internal process and customer performance, and customer and financial performance. However, there is no relationship between internal process and financial effects. The results suggest that six sigma project system could effectively be implemented as a knowledge management system to improve six sigma performance of green an black belts. This study also compares index of SEM`s model fit of research model and that of alternative models for further analysis. The result shows that index of research model of index is better than that of alternative model.

The Air and Correspondence High School (ACHS) has played a key role as an organization of lifelong learning since 1974. However, extra-curriculum in ACHS has not been operated successfully due to lacks of educational supports and on-line contents. So we surveyed demands of the ACHS teachers and students for successful operation of extra-curriculum, found four subjects that students preferred in the developing activity area which is one of extra-curricular activities, and experimentally developed four on-line contents for extra-curriculum. And we also applied the developed on-line contents to the students of Chongju H.S. After the application, another survey and interview were carried out to measure learner`s satisfaction, find out problems of learning with on-line contents and suggest the ways of improving extra-curriculum learning system.
A Meta Evaluation for the Self Evaluation System of Defense R&D Programs

This study is the result of meta evaluation for the self evaluation of defense R&D programs in Korea. The overall meta evaluation result gained 74.3 points out of 100, so it was evaluated as `Good`. T- test and one-way ANOVA were used to identify the difference between groups. As a result of difference analysis between groups, some evaluation items showed difference within significance level. From this analysis, it is attempted to identify possible problems and to find out the ways of improvements related to the self evaluation system of defense R&D Programs. The ultimate objective of this study is to manage the programs effectively and improve the reliability and the objectiveness of the defense R&D performances.

Balanced Scorecard(BSC) is one of the ways to estimate the achievement results of enterprises which, beyond the simple financial index traditionally used for enterprise achievement result management system, aims to estimate and manage the key perspectives for the future and goal achievement of enterprises as financial perspectives, customer perspectives, internal business perspectives, learning and growth perspectives with a fully consistent and balanced measure, and moreover manage their relationships regarding cause and effect on its basis. Introduction of BSC can be a profound implication for management strategies not only in that its introduction itself has numerous direct effects but also in the way of understanding whether or not its sequential relations exist. Thus this study focused on if the introduction of BSC is effectual, and if there exist any time-lag sequential relations between the effects. The results of the this study indicate that the introduction of BSC has positive effects on the internal business perspectives, learning and growth perspectives, financial perspectives, with the last aspect lasting longer. After dividing perspectives of BSC into leading indicator and lagging indicator, the analysis on if there was some relationships between two indicators was done. As a result, the introduction makes internal process improve first, which has positive effects on financial performance next.

ISO14001-based u-LCA System Development for Operation of Environmental Facilities

This paper describes an information system of operation adequacy in environmental facilities such as environmental contamination prevention and processing equipments, which is namely, an integrated management system for environmental facilities. By developing this system, we can improve environmental characteristics and maximize the efficiency throughout the life cycle from generation of contaminant source to contamination prevention processing, and to contaminant disappearance. In order to meet these objects, we have developed ubiquitous life cycle assessment(u-LCA) for environmental facilities, which is an ISO14001-based incineration facility information system. The developed system is currently operating for test at an incinerator in Koyang city. Due to this system, the managers can confirm the operation condition of the incinerator with real-time and they will be able to improve the problems immediately.
Industry-Academic Collaboration and Human Resource Development by a `Specialized Plan for Next Generation` Program -The field of Intelligent Robot

As expected that a robot-industry will grow up rapidly toward a huge market, many countries try to develop the official policies to support a robot-industry. Following this trend, many robot researches are proceeded in the various technical areas by the government-initiated R&D strategies in Korea. These R&D programs are archived by academic-industrial collaboration and furthermore, include the disseminated linkage of academic-industrial collaboration and the human resource development program which pursues the problem solving and technical training for companies suffered by several technical difficulties. This paper shows the several analyses and considerations of provisional results of these collaboration programs. First, each program of specialized plan for next generation is reviewed and the accomplishment of human resource development for robot research is evaluated. Finally, several considerations are represented for continuous and desirable expansion of these programs.

This research is based upon the nursing statistical data published by the Institute of Nursing Policy in 2007, on behalf of Korea nursing association. We analyzed the problems on the healthcare human resources supply in Korea. We suggest that a solution is to adopt immigration policy for foreign workforce employment. The result of the research shows that more than 1,000 nurses are registrated every year except for 2004, according to the yearly status of healthcare jobs. The variance of doctors` registration was quite significant. Compared to 750 registrations in 2004, 4000 doctors were registered in 2002. The healthcare accounts for the property of citizens in terms, which represents the health and lives of everyone, so the country must take all measures to supply the healthcare services in need. Focusing on the underdeveloped region where it is difficult to approach the medical services, the foreign workforce could be added into the healthcare profession field. We conclude that employing foreign healthcare professionals will contribute to the improvement of lives in those people living in underdeveloped region, as well as unity of the local community.
Effect of MgO and coloring agents on the coloring in zirconia-glass frit system

The effects of MgO and coloring agents on the physical properties and color of zirconia based ceramics with glass frit were studied. The addition of MgO was effective on the coloring of zirconia-20wt% glass frit system. Major factor on the coloring was turned out to be sintering temperature. Coloring agents was turned out to be more effective than the addition of MgO on the coloring of zirconia base ceramics. Specimen without glass frit showed drastic change in color, while specimen with 20wt% glass frit revealed a limited change in color. This means that the addition of glass frit suppresses the coloring of zirconia based ceramics. The effect of sintering temperature on coloring revealed little change in color.
Evaluation of Oxygen Permeability of Soft Contact Lenses Based on Thickness

The oxygen permeability of a soft contact lens is an important parameter for determining corneal health when considering the physiological response of the eye. The aim of this study is to evaluate the oxygen permeability of soft contact lenses based on thickness, using the polarographic method. The thickness of lens was measured using contact and non-contact method. To assess accuracy and reliability, the Bland-Altman plot was used. The reliability was high for the oxygen permeability based on center thickness measured by contact method, whereas the accuracy was high for the oxygen permeability based on center thickness measured by non-contact method. These results indicate that the permeability characteristics were variable according to the measurement and criteria of thickness of soft contact lenses and the measurement of soft contact lenses by non-contact method was more reasonable. Thus, contact lens practitioners should consider some basic differences between methodologies when interpreting or quoting oxygen performance data.
Fatigue Symptoms and Its Related Factors among General Hospital Nurses

The purpose of the present study was intended to assess fatigue symptoms of nurses working at special part(operating room, intensive care unit, emergency room) and ward in general hospitals, and to reveal its related factors. The self-administered questionnaires were given to 393 nurses employed in 3 participating hospitals located in Daejeon City. As a results, the special part workers had higher scores of fatigue symptoms than the ward workers. Multiple stepwise analysis revealed that the factors of influence on fatigue symptoms in the special part workers included subjective health status, age and job satisfaction, and in the ward workers, the factors of influence on fatigue symptoms included subjective health status, sleep hour, shift work and job satisfaction. In conclusion, the fatigue symptoms were higher in the special part workers than the ward workers, and its related factors were different from two worker groups.
