A Study on the Color Change Mechanism by Vacuum Annealing in Cubic Zirconia

Colored cubic-zirconia specimens made by skull melt process were annealed in vacuum at the temperature of
for 10~60 minutes to enhance the color. The three different colored specimens become darker and eventually are black as annealing temperature and time increase. Conventional gem stone grading method and XPS were employed to quantify the property change and to reveal the mechanism of the color change. Color was changed apparently but the hardness and apparent density did not vary with annealing. Based on XPS result, we concluded that the main cause of the color change in cubic zirconia might be the change of Y-O bonding energy state of
phase-stabilizer by vacuum annealing.
Improvement of the Uniformity of Temperature Distribution inside Semiconductor Test Equipment Chamber

Some design changes were made to enhance the uniformity of temperature distribution inside the chamber of semiconductor test equipment. The design changes include the installation of adjustable airflow controller inside the chamber, the alignment of the centers of heater and match plate, the change in the size and the shape of holes in match plate base, and the addition of new holes of 2 mm diameter in order to allow airflow directly to the temperature sensors. In order to verify their effects, the temperature distributions inside the chambers were measured using 32 RTD sensors before and after the design changes. Development of Non-Contact Conveyor for Clean Process by Applying Magnet Gears

For a development of non-contact magnet gear which is magnetized as a helical shape, a method of 3-dimensional FEM analysis is used. An elementary technique required for magnetic property analysis and parts design about magnet gear is ensured. In order to test a performance of clean conveyor and turning device which is composed with magnet gear, a clean class 10 environment booth is used for a trial test. It is verified that the magnet conveyor can be acceptable under a condition of clean class 10 by a result of trial test about transfer speed, maximum torque permission, cleanness, maximum transfer weight, existence of hunting and degree of noise.
Analysis on the Structural Safety of the Tower Crane under Load

In this study, the deformation analysis is done at tower crane by applying the load at the end of jib and the moment at mast. The greatest stain and stress are happened at the end of wire supporting jib. The great deformation takes place at the end of jib applied by stress and there is no deformation at the lower part of mast. As the life becomes smallest at the upper part of mast, this part becomes weakest. The safety design and durability can be improved by applying the result of structural safety analysis at tower crane.
An Experimental Study on the Flame Appearance and Heat Transfer Characteristics of Acoustically Excited Impinging Inverse Diffusion Flames

An experimental investigation of the flame appearance and heat transfer characteristics in both unexcited and excited impinging inverse diffusion flames with a loud speaker has been performed. The flame is found to become broader and shorter (in length) with acoustic excitation. The heat flux at the stagnation point is increased with the acoustic excitation. The acoustic excitation is more effective in lean conditions than in rich conditions. The reasons for these behaviors are that acoustic excitation improves the entrainment of surrounding air into the jet. A Study for Optimizing LCD Display Frame Assembly Process

This paper studies the assembly process of LCD display frames to reduce product cost. First of all, OTRS and time study methodology were performed to analyze the efficiency of the assembly process. Next, various types of frame materials are evaluated whether they pass the reliability criteria or not. As a result, it is found that the productivity of LCD display assembly process maintains prefer level and some frame materials have an opportunity to reach the reliability criteria.
Development of Body-Weight-Support System for Walking Rehabilitation

As the population of elderly people and disabled people are increased, various demands for human welfare using robot system are raised. Especially autonomous rehabilitation system using robot could reduce the human effort while maintaining the its intrinsic efficacy. This study deals with mobile gait rehabilitation system which combined with BWS (Body Weight Support) for training of elderly and handicapped people who suffer the muscle force weakness of lower extremity. BWS which is designed by kinematic analysis of body lifting characteristics and walking guide system are integrated with main control system and wheeled platform. This mobile platform is operated by UCS (User Command System) and autonomous trajectory planning algorithm. Finally, through the EMG (Electromyography) signal measuring and its analysis for subject, performance and feasibility of developed system is verified.
A Study on the Controller Design of Cooling System for LCD Panel Console

This study dealt with the controller design of the cooling system for controlling the inside temperature of the LCD panel console(the rest console`) using as an outdoor billboard. The cooling performance of the LCD console that had been developed by the preceding research, was insufficient in the performance of the controller. In order to improve the performance of the system, in this study defined the structure and the design condition of the system first, after measured the parameters having influence on the dynamic characteristics, and developed the mathematical model for the analysis of the system. Finally planned a controlling scheme of the system and simulated the controller for the performance checking, compared the performance of this system controller with the preceding one. The purpose of this study is the presentation of the more improving method for the system control.

The Effect of the Program of Ecological Experience on the Emotional Intelligence of Young Children

The purpose of this study is to inquire into the changes to the emotional intelligence of young children by giving them pleasure and memory through the program of ecological experience. A survey was made on 40 young children in two classes out of 5-year-old children`s classes in nurseries located at Chungcheong-do. They were divided into the experiment group and control group to consist of 20 persons, respectively. For young children of the experiment group, the experiment was conducted while observing and experiencing through the division of the group into 5 persons on fixed days according to the program of ecological experience. Analysis showed that the program of ecological experience in the experiment group relatively higher effect of increase for the emotional intelligence of young children, and the use of self emotion, the cognition and consideration of other`s emotion, the cognition and expression of self emotion, the regulation and impulse control of emotion, the relationship with teacher and the relationship with peer by sub-factors than that in the control group. In other words, close relationships with nature and inquiry instruction of ecological experience have provided the attitude-based formation living together with the understanding of natural world and eco-friendly attitude, the cognition of ecological crisis and social cooperation that couldn`t feel in indoor education. Consequently, the program of ecological experience should prove useful for the emotional intelligence of young children.
The Effect of Job Stress and Burnout by Job Environment of Care-givers on Job Satisfaction

The purpose of this study is to understand attributes, stress and burnout related to job environment of healthcare facilities workers for the aged, care-givers, analyze the effect of these factors on job satisfaction, and improve their organizational task to help advance the quality of life and the healthcare facilities for the aged. A survey was made on 129 care-givers working in the healthcare facilities for the aged(care facilities, in-home facilities for the aged) located in Jeonbuk Gunsan area. This study showed that sub-factors of care-givers` job environment such as human environment, compensation system and job expertise have a significant effect on the job burnout, stress and satisfaction. This means that a well-organized compensation system, which is proportionate to the job expertise and ability for human environment, and achievement of innovative thinking, will make a positive relationship, reduce the job burnout and stress, and improve the job satisfaction at the same time. Compared to the rapid increase of old aged patients for long-term care and care-givers` real role and job in the facilities, the job specialization has to be guaranteed to improve job environment of care-givers as various beneficial workers for welfare - professional workers - and the compensation system needs to be properly systematized according to their job capacity. Consequently, the production and participation of professionals with high self-esteem may raise organizational commitment through the maximization of job satisfaction by the participation and devotion to the organization of more professionals by removing factors, which can reduce the frequent job burn-out and stress of care-givers.

As the number of the elderly increases, concerns about senile dementia and serious game for dementia are growing. The purpose of this study is to explore the types of attitude toward senile dementia. To identify public attitudes toward senile dementia, we conducted Q methodology. A Q set of potential public attitudes toward senile dementia was identified through literature review. From this, 52 potential public attitudes toward senile dementia were identified. Twenty subjects ranked these explanations as possible public attitudes. The attitudes toward senile dementia were classified as 4 types : `type1 : idealistic & expectant`, `type 2 : aversive & defensive`, `type 3 : active & realistic`, and `type 4 : responsible & compensatory`. This study revealed that people have different explanatory frameworks for the attitude toward senile dementia.

This research is about evaluate how leadership is influence the organizational effectiveness through the process. Process is set sub factors of transformational leadership as independent variable, set sub factors of organizational effectiveness as dependent variable, and set trust as relationship between members of organization for leader in relationship between most important person at organization(work place) and work, also, set self efficacy as relationship between members of organization and work to find out how these two elements are working. As result of research, all of sub factors of independent variables are effect on trust, then trust is positive effect on organizational effectiveness. However, all of the sub factors of transformational leadership didn`t give meaningful effect on self efficacy. However, trust is effect on self efficacy, and as a result, self efficacy is positive effect on every sub factors of organizational effectiveness.
A Cost-Benefit Analysis on Incorporating the Korea National Museum of Contemporary Art

In this paper, the cost-benefit analysis is used to compare policy alternatives on whether the Korea National Museum of Contemporary Art should be incorporated or not. Alternative 1 (Current State) is to remain as it is. Alternative 2 (Incorporation State) is to change its legal status from government agency into incorporation. To make the process of incorporating, some assumptions are introduced: (1) no labor workforce reductions, (2) wage increase, (3) keeping publicness. These assumptions reduce the resistance from worker and provides them incentives to accept the incorporating process. Those assumptions also reflect the direction of policy of the government. After estimating the net present values of each alternative, it turns out that the NPV of Alternative 2 (Incorporating State) is larger than that of Alternative 1 (Current State). This result holds after doing sensitivity test using different discount rates.

The Analysis of Order Priority of Management Performance Factors in Medical Organization

This paper suggests the measurement method of evaluation of management performance factors in health organization using AHP and Factor Analysis technique. To achieve this goal, this study applies AHP method to different size of hospitals. AHP method is deployed in three steps. At first step, the major factors, which indicate the management performance in health organizations, will be formed through factor analysis. At second step, the pairwise comparison between two factors will be performed to calculate the weights of each variables. At the last step, the order of priority of all factors will be determined. This order list will be used in measurement of the management performance in health organization. The results of this paper show that the financial factors take the top position, and followed by customer related factors, process factors and education & growth factors. This result could be the milestone for the measurement of management performance of medical organization in Korea.

Jeju soybean industry is not competitive in areas of food-safety, quality, price, and bargaining power. Also, the processing products of soybean are simply-processed product. They are short of diversified product. The size of processing company is very small. The purpose of this study is to review and suggest programs for the construction and management of a network among farmhouseholds, agricultural cooperatives, manufacturing companies, related research institutes, and the local government, which are integrated vertically, horizontally and systematically. Jeju soybean cluster consists of production system, research & development system, industrial-support system, practical technology-support system, and center of operation. This system will help farmers get stable sales market & income. Also, It will help farmers produce the production of environment-friendly agricultural raw products.

School foodservice in the business opportunities could be magnified as the university and the general enterprise as well as elementary, middle, and high school. Therefore school foodservice creates commercially profitable and would go on its investment in social welfare service field as well as create new jobs. By using local food materials, school foodservice has economic effect on the society. In this paper we propose network design for power line communication of electric railway using messenger wire. we carried out feasibility study on the power line communication(PLC) using Contact wire and messenger wire which are required at electric railway. First of all, full-duplex data communication was implemented using coupler which is suspended on messenger wire at non-voltage state. We verified data transfer rate was found to be good, and then proposed a design example of PLC network as the main components for PLC. we will study continuously make an effort to verify on the network design of PLC for further study.
The Effect of Organizational Social Network Characteristics on Absorptive Capacity and Innovation Performances

This study, based on social capital theory, aims to explore how social network characteristics among organization members affect the absorptive capacity which is the ability to recognize the value of new information, assimilate it, and apply it to commercial ends. This paper also empirically investigates how the absorptive capacity will have an effect on organizational innovation performances toward achieving competitive advantages in the knowledge society. According to the degree of relationship intensity, social network shows two different characteristics: strong tied network and weak tied network. As strong tied network and weak tied network have relatively different network characteristics, this study assumes that each network affects the absorptive capacity with different aspects. Furthermore, we consider the moderation effect of a social network manager`s ability in the relationship between social network and absorptive capacity. We surveyed innovative project performers who are engaged in the knowledge based industries. The empirical analysis results show that both strong tied and weak tied network positively affect the absorptive capacity. Successively, the absorptive capacity also has a positive impact on innovation performances.
The Effect on Network Diversity and Network Strength of Social Enterprise Member with the Developmental Model

The leaders such as The Robert Foundation of the U.S., Social Firms U.K., EMES European Research Network worldwide are groping for the survival strategies of social enterprises and of their developmental methods with the utilization of social capital. Along with the way the world economy goes on, this study is first of all to empirically analyze how the diversity and strength of network as independent variables work with the studies of the survival of enterprises of Granovetter Mark, Burt Ronald, Coleman James, Peter Witt, Andreas Schroeter, Christin Merz, Helen Haugh, mainly concerned with the increase in employment, the increment in sales, delegation of authorization as dependent variables and secondly it is to present a theoretical possibility of optimizing the development of social enterprises. The object of this study consists of 25 companies recommended by experts out of the current national 295 social enterprises in 2009 through the analysis of sources of SPSS 12.0, appropriateness, reliability, interrelation, etc; besides, hypotheses are proved by multiple regression analysis. A result of the investigation indicates that there is the necessity of network in all the processes of the survival of enterprises, the growth in employment, the increase in sales, delegation of authorization; especially, it suggests that it is necessary to manage, maintain and develop primary factors relating to a variety of networks to improve sales, and relating to the intensity of network for the survival of corporations. At last, I think that this study could be a help to the strategies of utilizing social capital in order for many companies or nonprofit social organizations in Korea to develop into constant enterprises.
A Plan of Efficiency of Human Resource Policy for Small-Medium Enterprises in Regional Strategic Industry

In this study, We found approach to improve the efficiency of human resource policies for small-medium enterprises(SMEs) in the regional strategic industries. Especially, we intended to identify practical and policy implications, through analyzing to the supply and demand side of human resource at the same time. In the supply side, we analyzed workers, supply, and support policy in regional strategic industry. In the demand side, we analyzed the demands from 201 SMEs in regional strategic industry. We found the demand differences in strategic industries. we found the efficiency improvement and directions of human resource policies. Thus, these results imply the necessity of creating a customizing policy for SMEs. In conclusion, the human resource policy should be reflected the central government`s policy direction and the demands of SMEs.
Evaluation of scale accuracy and effect of off-the-visual-axis on schematic retinoscope training eye

To investigate accuracy of graduated scale of schematic retinoscope training eye(schematic eye) and induced effect when measured at off-axis from visual axis. Two skilled retinoscopist measured refractive power using retinoscope in random order. Seven schematic eyes from a single manufacturer were recruited and set to mark +4.00 to -6 diopter(+4, +3, +2, +1, 0, -1, -2, -3, -4, -5, -6). After introducing +2.00 diopter trial lens(50cm working lens), neutral distance was measured at 180 degree to estimate accuracy of scale, and refractive power measured at 0, 5, 10, 15 and 20 degree off-axis to see if any error was induced. According to the results measured by two specialists, in six of seven schematic eye, scale setting varied (p<0.05) and measured refractive power at 5, 10, 15 and 20 degree off-axis from visual axis were
diopter respectively. In some schematic eye, scale graduated on the schematic eye and scale measured by retinoscopy could be different and if retinoscopy is performed off-axis from visual axis, any measuring error can be caused.
Tissue conditioner in edentulous patients, depending on the time and the thickness of the changes affect the dimensional stability

This study evaluated the linear dimensional changes with the factor of time and thickness using of three commercially available tissue conditioners (Coe-Comport, Visco-Gel, Soft-Liner). The thickness of materials were changed (1.5mm, 3.0mm) and the percentage changes in dimension were measured at 1h(baseline), 12h, 24h, 3 days and 7days after specimen preparation. The obtained data were analyzed by ANOVA with the SAS/PC statistical package. From the results, large differences appear between the various tissue conditioners. The results suggested that the period recommended for forming functional impression would be 36h to 3days after insertion in the mouth. Depending on the type of tissue conditioner over time, as there were significant differences in the elastic change(p<0.05). Tissue conditioner of the 1.5mm, 3.0mm thickness were significantly different by the dimensional stability(p<0.05). Elastic deformation of the ideal itself, and resilient when compared only the look, Visco-Gel 3.0mm group, stability was the most stable volume. In addition, it is important to select tissue conditioners suitable for functional impression because of the wide range of dimensional stability among the materials.

In most sports, a key evaluator of athletic performance is sprinting speed. There are two trainable factors associated with speed including mechanical efficiency and force production. The squat exercise is one of the beneficial exercises implemented to enhance lower extremity power for sprinters. However, there has been little research on the optimal exercise intensity for sprinting performance. This study was to investigate whether performing different squat exercises prior to a 40m sprint would improve running speed. Ten male high school sprinters performed six 40m sprints following the different squat intensities (30%, 50%, 70%, and 90% of 1RM). A one-way ANOVA with repeated measures revealed that 40m sprint times had significantly improved after 50% (

). Performing squat exercises with intensities of 50% and 70% of 1RM may improve 40m sprint times. Therefore, it is suggested that coaches and sprinters could include a medium intensity squat exercise (70%) in the warm-up procedure in order to improve sprint performance.

This study was performed to determine the levels of quality of life(QOL) according to the grade of long-term care service in the elderly people who were judged from long-term care insurance, and to reveal its association with related variables. Such factors as educational level, monthly income, subjective health status, depression and MMSE-K were shown to affect their QOL in Grade I, Grade II, and Grade III with explanatory powers of 45~62%.

The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of acute exercise on antioxidative enzymes in noramal and obese men. The written informed consent was obtained from 16 participants of eight normally healthy persons and eight obesity ones. The baseline level of obesity was determined at 25 % of the body fat. Any subjects had no experiences in participating in exercise and did not take vitamin or mineral supplement. Blood was sampled at five minutes before exercise, at exhaustion, and after 30 minutes of recovery. All statistical analyses and description methods were computed by SPSS window 14.0. Analysis of Covariance(ANCOVA) was performed to know the differences in values between pre- and post- exercise in each group. We found that after exhaustion, the normal group showed higher erythrocyte superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity compared to the obesity group. At exhaustion, the normal group had lower HSP activity compared to the obesity group. Based on the results, an acute exercise of normally healthy people induced an up-regulation of superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity. This plays an important role in the protection of extra-cellular fluid components against peroxide-mediated damage.

Brainwave can be the most effective means of detecting the state of the brain that changes moment by moment. Since brain has closed relations with hormones which are a foundation of metabolism, it needs to examine closely the mutual relationship between brainwave and hormone. We examined the possibility to find out such information about metabolism by comparing brainwave with cortisol hormone. The major variables are anti-stress quotient of brainwave and cortisol density which give stress information of the working women, to measure from March 3 to May 28, 2007. To find out the relationship between them, we performed such statistical analysis about the before and after of brainwave training as t-test, correlational analysis and regression analysis. We obtained following results: First, considerable changes of variables is shown by brain-wave training. Second, there exist a correlation between variables. Third, according to regression analysis, influence between variables is verified. Thus, we found that stress information of hormone analytical level can be obtined only through brainwave analysis.
The Model Predicting Unqualified Dental Practitioners Experience Pattern

In this study, the patterns of people who get dental services from unqualified dental practitioners were identified by using "2006 National Dental Health Investigation". There were 4,543 people in total and the group was divided into two groups - those who had experience of receiving dental services from unqualified practitioners and of those who had not. The most pattern model was CHAID. It was patterned that 39% of those who are more than 68 years would experience such unqualified dental service, and it was found that 3% of those who are less than 33 years experienced such a service. It was found that 45% of those who are 55 or 68 years and woman would experience such unqualified dental service, and 32% of those who are 55 or 68 years and man experienced such a service. With the increase in health awareness, the burden of medical bills is also rising. However, cases of unqualified dental treatments that could cause extremely dangerous symptoms are also rising recently. Therefore it is most important to anticipate those groups who are most exposed to unqualified dental services, and educate them with appropriate information and publicise about the danger.

Low back pain is commonly experienced by both adolescents and adults. The aim of this study is to research the prevalence of the Oswestry disability index(ODI) in their 20s of college students. The data was collected from the ODI questionnaire on functional disability measures for college students(males: 233, females: 407). Statistical analysis was carried out with SPSS 12.0 program, which was used for descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation analysis. The results were : Firstly, `sitting` item was showed `the highest score` and `the lowest score` was `personal care` in ODI items. Secondly, there was statistically significant between female(6.13) and male(4.62) on ODI but not ODI grade(p<0.01). Thirdly, there was a statistically significant relationship between ODI grade and each ODI items(p<0.01). These results have specific meaning as future clinical and epidemiological studies.

Modeling a virtual reader and tags, the emulator system is realized by using a commercial signal generation device to make signal, a data collection equipment, and DSP board. By using a Virtual UHF RFID (860 ~ 960 [MHz]) reader/tags module, a developed RFID reader, protocol of tag, and properties of RF support to provide the way how to verify the suitability to international standards (ISO 18000-6 Type C, EPCglobal C1G2). This paper presents a design of high power oscillator using a spiral resonator and high power transistor with measurement. Even lots of drawbacks are known in design of oscillators using high power transistors, the spiral resonator is adopted because it has relatively high Q out of planar resonators. The designed power oscillator at 1.8GHz is fabricated and tested. Measurement shows the obtained output power is 23.5dBm at 1.74GHz with -146.76dBc/Hz of phase noise at 1MHz offset. In addition, it is illustrated that the frequency stability is excellent with the shift less than 1MHz and the measured maximum output power is around 24dBm when the bias voltages are adjusted.

Home service robot are not working in the fixed task such as industrial robot, because they are together with human in the same indoor space, but have to do in much more flexible and various environments. Most of them are developed on the base of the wheel-base mobile robot in the same method as a vehicle robot for factory automation. In these days, for holonomic system characteristics, omni-directional wheels are used in the mobile robot. A holonomicrobot, using omni-directional wheels, is capable of driving in any direction. But trajectory control for omni-directional mobile robot is not easy. Especially, azimuth control which sensor uncertainty problem is included is much more difficult. This paper develops trajectory controller of 3-wheels omni-directional mobile robot using fuzzy azimuth estimator. A trajectory controller for an omni-directional mobile robot, which each motor is controlled by an individual PID law to follow the speed command from inverse kinematics, needs a precise sensing data of its azimuth and exact estimation of reference azimuth value. It has imprecision and uncertainty inherent to perception sensors for azimuth. In this paper, they are solved by using fuzzy logic inference which can be used straightforward to perform the control of the mobile robot by means of the fuzzy behavior-based scheme already existent in literature. Finally, the good performance of the developed mobile robot is confirmed through live tests of path control task.

In this paper, circularly polarized micro-strip GPS antenna has been designed and fabricated. In order to improve of frequency properties, patch size, corner truncated size and feed positions were simulated using HFSS simulation program. Micro-strip GPS antenna was fabricated on the FR4 substrate of dielectric constant 4.4. The fabricated GPS antenna has that center frequency is 1.575GHz and insertion loss is -34.50dB.

Safety-Critical systems, such as Plant Protection Systems in nuclear power plant, plays a key role that the facilities can be operated without undue risk to the health and safety of public and environment, and those systems shall be designed, fabricated, installed, and tested to quality standards commensurate with the importance of the functions to be performed. Computer-based Instrumentation and Control Systems to perform the safety-critical function have Real Time Operating Systems to control and monitoring the sub-system and executing the application software. The safety-critical Real Time Operating Systems shall be designed, analyzed, tested and evaluated to have capability to maintain a high integrity and quality. However, local nuclear power plants have applied the real time operating systems on safety critical systems through Commercial Grade Item Dedication method, and this is the reason of lack of detailed methodology on assessing the safety of real time operating systems, expecially to the new developed one. This paper presents the methodology and experiences of safety evaluation on safety-critical Real Time Operating Systems based upon design requirements. This paper may useful to develop and evaluate the safety-critical Real Time Operating Systems in other industry to ensure the safety of public and environment.

In this paper, a 3rd-order Chebyshev current-mode filter in 1.8V-
CMOS parameter is designed. The core circuit of the current-mode filter is composed with the proposed voltage-controlled frequency tunable current-mode integrator. Analysis of Trial Test for ATP On-board Equipment of Tilting Train

In this paper we describe contents and results on running test for ATP on-board equipment, which has propelled as one of the research projects, so called, "Reliability assessment and operation technology development for Korean-type tilting trains" in order to ensure the safety and operation efficiency of tilting trains. We developed tilting trains for the speed-up of conventional lines and for the passenger service improvement where the KTX is not available. And we made progress the operation trial test in the 120,000 km distance with the use of ATS equipment, used in existing lines, for the purpose of the reliability assessment of the developed tilting trains. We decided to accelerate the speed for more than 200km/h with respect to the 6 existing lines including Jungang-line and Chungbuk-line where KTX has not operated. According to this decision, Train control system is to be changed from ATS to ATP. We should have installed an ATP on-board unit in tilting trains and verified the operational suitability, therefore we installed the same ATP on-board unit on tilting trains as that used in the ATP construction project on Gyeongbu-line and Honam-line, and verified that the function and performance of the installed ATP on-board unit conformed to the tilting trains operation.

To restore image degraded by motion blur and additive noise, In conventional method, regularization is usually applied to all over the image without considering the local characteristics of image. As a result, ringing artifacts appear in edge regions and the noise amplification is introduced in flat regions. To solve this problem we propose an adaptive regularization iterative restoration using wavelet directional considering edges and the regularization operator with no direction for flat regions. We verified that the proposed method showed results in the suppression of the noise amplification in flat regions, and introduced less ringing artifacts in edge regions.

Since existing Nate-on Messenger application stores users` personal information in the database of its server, it is extremely venerable to internal threats, not to mention the communication data being transmitted without any safety measures. To solve such problematic areas of the existing application, we have developed a safer messenger application. The messenger application proposed in this paper discloses only the least required personal information of its users and the rest of the personal information is safely encrypted in the database using private passwords. This protective measure prevents the administrator or a third party from misusing the information since he/she will not be able access the information. In addition, users will be able to freely and safely communicate using this new messenger since transmitted data will also be encrypted.

Wireless sensor network is composed of sensor node with limited sources, and to maintain and repair is vexatious once made up. Accordingly it is important matter to maximize the network lifetime by minimizing the energy consumption in wireless sensor network, and utilizing the limited sources efficiently. In this paper, I propose a technique arranging the cluster number with efficiency in clustering method to optimize the energy consumption. The energy usage needed for wireless transmission varies in distance(threshold). This technique reduces the energy consumption considering the threshold when arranging the cluster number. I verify that the clustering method organized through the valid processes outperform the LEACH(Low-Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy) in total energy consumption.

The main purpose of this study is the vertical circulation elements(stairs, elevator, ramp) in a Museum. The first is numerically analyzed in the study. And museum of Korea was limited to the case. The result of the study can be summarized as follows. 1. 50% of cases have 3~4 vertical circulation elements.; (1) ~8 elements: 1(3%), (2) 7 elements: 2(5%), (3) 6 elements: 5(13%), (4) 5 elements: 6(16%), (5) 4 elements: 8(21%), (6) 3 elements: 11(29%), (7) 2 elements: 4(11%), (8) 1 element: 1(3%). 2. There was "stairs alone", "elevator + stairs", "elevator + stairs + ramp", "stairs + ramp" in museum of Korea. Cases of "elevator alone", "ramp alone", elevator + ramp", "stairs + elevator + ramp" was not.; (1) stairs alone: 8(21%), (2) elevator + stairs: 21(55%), (3) elevator + stairs + ramp: 8(21%), (4) stairs + ramp: 1(3%).

Coastal landscape is a collective setting of artificial or natural elements along the seaside. The approach method for the coastal landscape formation is different from that of urban landscape formation. This study analyzes the mechanism of coastal landscape formation process in Japan in the aspects of recognition phase, formation phase, and practice phase. The characteristics of coastal landscape formation process in Japan are construction of a survey system for integrating diverse landscape elements as a final coastal landscape, construction of a coherent evaluation system responding the local natural and spatial characters, and building a cooperative system responding the police of coastal landscape formation. This study suggest the implications both for the improvement of domestic local values and for the ways of the domestic coastal landscape formation.

Shotcrete was a mortar or concrete that is pneumatically projected at high velocity onto a subject. It has been applied for tunneling, underground big-spaces, slope stabilization. Shotcrete is increasing use in structure repair. The dry-mix shotcrete require a smaller equipment, easy maintenance, possible of very-earlystrength materials than wet-mix shotcrete, which make this process attractive and economic for structural repairs. It is common practice core compressive strength to the dry-mix shotcrete quality control. This test is very difficult estimating eraly-strength of Very-Early-Strength Dry-Mix Shotcrete. The purpose of this research was to analyze the correlation of test results among cube test, core test, pullout test and maturity. The correlationship analysis of test results among cube test, core test, pullout test and maturity showed more than 90%.

This study investigated the agents for self-healing system that could be developed to prevent UST(underground storage tank) from leaking. The system involves short range wireless communication to locate a leakage. Four commercially available silicons are arbitrarily chosen to evaluate suitability as a self-healing agent through a series of laboratory experiments. finally the experiments are simulated using computational Fluid Dynamic Program.

In this study, a series of triaxial compression tests(CU) were performed with artificially remolded sand-pack-clay and sand-clay composite soils at 10% and 20% replacement ratio to compare the shear strength and behavior characteristics between sand compaction pile and pack pile. From the test results, the shear strength of the pack pile is much higher than the that of the sand compaction pile.

Various kinds of shear connector such as headed stud, channel, perforated steel plate and others are commonly used to transfer stress and present composite performance in composite structures, and many researches have been conducted to improve the characteristics of different types of shear connectors. It is focused in this study on the bending performance of steel pipe pile cap with the open type perforated shear connector for the composite connection to the spread footing. Nonlinear analysis was conducted, using ABAQUS, a finite element analysis program, to obtain information for determining the characteristics of the structure and to allow various parametric analysis for bending performance of steel pipe pile cap with the open perforated shear connector.

Axial load tests and cyclic load tests for FRP reinforced rectangular CFT columns were carried out The main parameters were width-thickness ratio of a steel tubeand FRP layer numbers for the axial load tests and were concrete strength and FRP layer numbers for cyclic load tests. The maximum strength and ductility capacity were compared between the current CFT columns and the FRP reinforced CFT columns. Finally, the axial design formulas were presented for the FRP reinforced CFT columns.

The purpose of this study is to research the characteristics of masonry techniques on Roman ancient architecture. Opus so means masonry, has many types and techniques and still we use that word. Roman masonry technique appears to be very diverse kinds throughout to try and change the outcome of new technology. Depending on the use of materials the process can distinguished in three courses. First, just use only stones and bricks. Second is the use of concrete that is advanced to cement structure. Third is the use of air-dried bricks and grilled bricks. Roman masonry ranges of techniques not limited to the construction of the resulting but created a variety of architectural language. Architectural space is based on a comprehensive development of masonry techniques.

In this study, validity of wastewater treatment system with advanced treatment processes was evaluated by studying its operational conditions by applying the advanced treatment to the wastewater treatment system which was operating for last several years. Study indicated a fair result for the removal efficiencies of BOD, T-P, and T-N for each unit operation. BOD removal efficiencies for primary clarifier, bioreactor, final effluent are 35, 87, and 48 % respectively. T-P(T-N) removal efficiencies for primary clarifier, bioreactor, final effluent are 18(23), 40(38), and 25(25) % respectively. Further investigation of bioreactor showed that various microorganism such as bacteria, protozoa, and metazoa is present in the bioreactor, and the main function of the media, adhesion (adsorption) of microorganism onto the media, is stabilized. Final effluent quality was lower than the regulation, and BOD, COD, SS, T-N, T-P were 5.5, 9.9, 4.6, 11.8, 0.99 mg/L respectively.

Phase change of calcium carbontae crystals in crystallization of precipitated calcium carbonate was researched by adding additives such as ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid(EDTA), diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid(DTPA), citric acid(CIT) and pyromellitic amid(PMA). At low temperature
, calcite crystal was made. At high temperature
, aragonite crystal was made without additives. At middle temperature
, Aragonite crystal also made by adding EDTA, DTPA. The crystal growth of Aragonite was retarded by the presence of CIT, PMA and the single phase of calcite was made. It was found that additives were important factors to make the single phase of calcium carbonate.
