Structural Analysis and Design Change of Pipe Butt Welding Machine

In this paper, structural analysis was conducted by ANSYS code for three dimensional finite element method to the pipe butt welding machine. Based on this numerical structural analysis, stress, strain and total deformation were obtained and the design change of the pipe butt welding machine was made along with improved productivity and shorten design period.
Fabrication of Scanning Fixture for Flexible Panels

In this study, a scanning fixture for flexible parts such as large automotive panels is developed. For the minimization of the weight deflection of a hood outer panel, the N-2-1 fixture principle for flexible parts is adopted in the fixture design. The designed fixture for a hood outer panel is fabricated using the Alufix system. The springback of the entire hood outer panel can be measured successfully by the laser scanning with the developed fixture, which verifies the usefulness of the proposed design method for the flexible panels.

The sensor data which is measured by Quadruped robot is utilized to recognize the physical environment or other information and to control the posture and walking of robot system. In order to control the robot precisely, high accuracy of sensor data is required, most of these sensors however, belongs to expensive and low-durable products. Moreover, these are exposed excessive load operation in a field condition if it is applied to field robot system. This issue becomes more serious one when the robot system is manufactured as a mass product. As in this context, this study suggests a virtual sensor technology to alternate or assist the main sensor system. This scheme is realized by using back-propagation algorithm of neural network theory, and the quality of estimated sensor data could be improved through the algorithmic and hardware based treatments. This study performs the various trial to identify the effective parameters which effect to the quality and reliability of estimated sensor data and tries to show the possibility of proposed methodology.
Precision-structural Design for Scanning Probe Microscopes

Nano-measurement systems such as scanning probe microscopes should be protected against external disturbances. For the design of a scanning probe microscope, the external vibrations need to be characterized and the vibrational properties of the structural frame itself should be modeled. Also, the influences of the external vibration on the apparatus need to be known for its utmost precision. In this paper, the combined vibrational-characteristics of the floor and the structural frame are analyzed and experimentally investigated.
Simulation Analysis on Triple Collision between Wrecker, Towed Car and Driving Car

The wrecker truck of lift type is used to move damaged car in accident spot or to move illegal vehicle in towaway zone toward pound.. This special vehicle drives by lifting front or rear side of car with the driving type of towed car. Each car is modelled with CATIA and is simulated with FEM analysis program ANSYS. This study analyzes how dangerous is the triple collision among the wrecker-towed car-driving car as comparing with the usual collision accident with cars. It is studied how responsible is the towed car in case of crashing its back side by driving car. The influence on the driving angle of towed car by lifting wrecker is also considered.
A Study on the Automation of Manufacturing and production Process for Press Die

The automation of the machining and manufacturing process of press die is designed to shorten the working time by avoiding unnecessary repetitive works and to obtain subject articles with standard quality. Automation as used in this paper includes 3-D die design, machining center, wire-cut electrical discharge machining, and drawing works. This paper deals with research work on the automation of the machining and manufacturing process of the press die after 3-D die design using the Irp bracket for the control box sensor. The research was conducted under the same setting as that of die design.

In manual inspection of Lead Screw of computers many workers are needed to inspect samples, and its main disadvantage is that such types of inspection system not only gives low production, but also gives low perfection. Besides, in manual inspection system, the inspection cost of samples is higher than that of the automatic inspection system. Therefore, in this study to compensate these shortcomings, an automatic inspection system is developed. For the inspection of the surfaces and different dimensional parameters of computer Lead screw, a
rotating machine vision system is developed. From the detailed analysis of the inspection results using the present developed inspection system, it is observed that the developed Lead Screw automatic inspection system is superior to those of manually inspection system.
Optimization of Thermal Deformation in Probe Card

A probe card is used in testing semiconductor wafers. It must maintain a precise location tolerance for a fine pitch due to highly densified chips. However, high heat transferred from its lower chuck causes thermal deformations of the probe card. Vertical deformation due to the heat will bring contact problems to the pins in the probe card, while horizontal deformation will cause positional inaccuracies. Therefore, probe cards must be designed with proper materials and structures so that the thermal deformations are within allowable tolerances. In this paper, heat transfer analyses under realistic loading conditions are simulated using ANSYS
finite element analysis program. Thermal deformations are calculated based on steady-state temperature gradients, and an optimal structure of the probe card is proposed by adjusting a set of relevant design parameters so that the deformations are minimized.
Analysis and Suppression Plan for Structure and Flow induced Noise in a Small Refrigeration System

This paper addresses how to reduce or redesign uncomfortable sound from small refrigerator by modifying some structures in mechanical components or operating conditions. After performing vibration analysis on each component and then sound analysis are carried out. From stepped designed experiments, we could acquire some important results that structure and flow induced vibration assumed to be a major cause to noise level and frequencies. Modifying some mechanical structure and operating conditions, uncomfortable starting noise and beating sound are suppressed. Machinery room located in refrigerator's backside is investigated for vibration and noise suppression, and some ideas for more improvement are suggested.
Simulation of the Effect of EGR Configuration on EGR Rate in a Passenger Diesel Engine with Two-Stage Turbocharger

In this study, the simulations were carried out to show the effect of the EGR configuration in a passenger diesel engine with 2-stage turbocharger on the EGR rate. The AMESim and IFP Engine Library were used to make the program for the simulation. Three EGR configurations, HPL(high pressure loop), LPL(low pressure loop), and SLPL(semi low pressure loop), were considered. The EGR rate in the HPL and LPL EGR routes were 6.4% and 10.0% respectively but the rate in SLPL route was 18.0% and their air/fuel ratio for all three cases was 21. Therefore the SLPL EGR configuration may be positively considered in the design of the passenger diesel engine with 2-stage turbocharger.
Design on Automatic Vision System for Fast Alternator Spool Inspection

This research aims to design on an automatic machine vision system to replace eye inspection of alternator spool which is one of the key automotive parts. The alternator spool, plastic extrusion part would have various defects like unfinished, crack and burr. Through the design failure examples the optimized fast machine vision system will be designed to inspect all spools also focuses on the low cost machine for the middle sized company as 2'nd automotive supplier. 3-dimensional design softwares of Pro-Engineer & CATIA were used and the system were built based on the design. The system will contribute to satisfy the cycle time and can inspect each part in an absolutely accurate method, which is sufficient for industrial applications.
Gender Wage Differentials in the Arts and Cultural Sector

Recently the arts and cultural sector is drawing attention as a new growth engine of the Korean economy. The paper is empirically analyzed on the gender wage differentials in the arts and cultural sector and specially focused on decomposing the wage differentials between the manufacturing sector and the arts and cultural sector. Our results may be partly useful for explaining the existing phenomenon of the arts and cultural sector in Korean labor markets, for example, young, highly educated, part-time contracts, less gender discrimination, etc. The results might provide somehow the policy directions of reducing the gender wage differentials.
A study on the effect prefrontal lobe neurofeedback traing on the primary student about selfregulation ability

This study was to examine the effectiveness of neurofeedback training by observing the pre and post brainwave measurement results of about 52 (experimental group 26. comparative group 26) subjects who have shown self regulation ability. The study took place at neuro-training center B, in between the months of Jan. 2008 and Dec. 2008. As the brainwaves are adjusted by timeseries linear analysis, the tool used to measure the self regulation ability was 5 Likert Scale questionnaire. The result confirmed the differences of both self regulation quotient, training protocol, upper deviation and questionnaire. The result of the study suggest prefrontal lobe neurofeedback technique's possibility in positively affecting the subjects' self regulation ability. This result suggested that follow-up researches should be figuring out more detailed explanations for journal of adolescent welfare.
A Study of Solving Maze Escape Problem through Robots' Cooperation

ICT education guidelines revised in 2005 reinforce computer science elements such as algorithm, data structure, and programming covering all schools. It means that goal of computer education is improving problem-solving abilities not using of commercial software. So this paper suggests problem-solving method of maze escape through robots' cooperation in an effort of learning these elements. Problems robots should solve are first-search and role-exchange. First-search problem is that first robot searches maze and send informations about maze to the second robot in real time. Role-exchange problem is that first robot searches maze, but loses its function at any point. At this time second robot takes a role of first robot and performs first robot's missions to the end. To solve these two problems, it goes through four steps; problem analysis, algorithm description, flowchart and programming. Additional effects of our suggestion are chance of cooperation among students and use of queue in data structure. Further researches are use of more generalized mazes, application to real field and a talented curriculum.
An Adaptive Scheduling Algorithm for Manufacturing Process with Non-stationary Rework Probabilities

This paper presents an adaptive scheduling algorithm for manufacturing processes with non-stationary rework probabilities. The adaptive scheduling scheme named by hybrid Q-learning algorithm is proposed in this paper making use of the non-stationary rework probability and coupling with artificial neural networks. The proposed algorithm is measured by mean tardiness and the extensive computational results show that the presented algorithm gives very efficient schedules superior to the existing dispatching algorithms.

The education on manners[etiquette] is necessary to have pragmatic value centered on practice, not merely deliver knowledge or a theory. For this purpose, it is required to develop various teaching methods for its revitalization. This study is to suggest UCC contents as the most suitable learning tool and to show the cases. The education on manners using UCC contents has positively influence on students' interest in class as well as the improvement in achievement, and attracts their attention. Also it inspires students' sense of manners through the practical exercise and results in the positive change of their behavior. Therefore UCC contents attempted newly are considered to be a useful learning tool and for this reason, I offer them as basic data for the education of manners.
The Relations between Awareness and Residental Satisfaction on Brand Apartment

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of perception factors on the brand apartment for customer satisfaction by classifying perception factors into environmental factor, interior factor, brand value factor, economic factor and social factor. Variables used in this study were compiled from the survey, which was done by the people living in Pusan from Aug. 17, 2009 to Aug. 31, 2009. In the results of this study, the perception that the brand apartment had better interior quality, brand value, saleability and possibility of price rising than the common one had effects on customer satisfaction. This study analyzed the effect of perception factors on the brand apartment for post-purchase satisfaction of customer. It is expected that the results of study would help construction companies establish marketing strategies to increase customer's interest and develop the brand apartment in consideration of perception factors with a high post-purchase satisfaction.
Effects of Regular Physical Activities on Young Children's Basic Motor Skills and Daily Stress

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of regular physical activity program on young children's basic motor skills and daily stress. The outdoor physical activity program was conducted with 40 participants who were divided into two groups(experimental group and control group) for 10 weeks twice a week. Results of the study were as following. The outdoor physical activity program improved young children's basic motor skills in the experiment group compared to the control group. Also it had positive effects on the reduction of daily stress in the experimental group compared to the control group. This result suggests that the physical activity program have positive effects on the development of young children's basic motor skills and the reduction of daily stress.
Analysis and Measurement of Performance Factors of HIS

The goal of this paper is to set up the order list of performance measurement factors according to the its weights. For this purpose the AHP method were implied. The research of this paper is carried out in two steps. At first step, the performance measurement factors are crystallized through review of the korean and foreign researches. In second step, the weights and order list of critical success factors of Hospital Information System were complete. The AHP method were performed in second step. The order list of all CSFs will be determined according to their weights and priorities. This order list shows which factors have the most useful influence on the performance of HIS. This result could play the role as milestone for the effective management of Hospital Information System in Korea.
A study on designing bird-watching science museum in the Yellow Sea area

The purpose of this study is to examine three bird-watching science museums near the Yellow-sea area. The bird-watching science museum is similar to conventional science museum in terms of exhibiting objects, but in detail the bird-watching science museum is specialized in bird-watching and study it's ecology. So the sight should be near the place where the bird can be seen easily and the building should be built in ecological way. Now establishing museum in local area as a community development is pretty popular in Korea. as tourism purpose. But the main purpose of bird-watching museum should be educational and cultural way and next tourism. So in this study I tried to pick designing point of architecture and exhibition of bird-watching museum.
Do students selected by specially trained admission officers show better performance in college?

Recently there have been many arguments about the admission officers system, but the majority of researches about admission officer has not focused student performance. We compared learning performances of students selected by admission officers and students selected by standardized test. We checked the marks of students at college entrance point and the average grade for their freshman year. Analyzing the data, we got two major findings. At the point of entrance, the students selected by admission officers had less performances. But the analysis of average grade for 1 year, there were no statistical differences between two groups of students.
Accuracy Analysis for Conversion of the Cadastral Coordinate System into the Global Coordinate System in Areas between Cadastral Datum

This study analyzed the positional accuracy of cadastral control points where central datum points and eastern datum points meet in the area of standard datum of geographic coordinate, in order to suggest the possibility of converting cadastral coordinates into global coordinates in the future in areas between cadastral datum. 12 GPS observation data points were extracted from the station of triangulation in the experimental area, and the accuracy of coordinate conversions in the area where central and eastern datum points meet was analyzed. . Such excellent results indicated that it is possible to convert to the global coordinate system. Thus, in converting to the global coordinate system, it appears possible to convert even borderline datum point areas if points with stable outcomes are selected by inspecting various triangulation markers, then used to carry out the conversion.
Effects on senior fitness, cognitive function and daily living activity of female elderly with light dementia by continuous and intermittent exercises

Dementia such as poor concentration, anxiety and tension makes it hard to continue exercise in reality. For this, intermediate exercise is suggested in this study. And the study investigates the effects on senior fitness, cognitive function(MMSE-K) and daily living activity(ADL) by continuous exercise and intermittent exercise, which helps to provide proper exercise treatment to them. For this, female elderly patients at A dementia hospital in B Metropolitan city are selected and they have been diagnosed with possible Alzheimer's disease according to DSM-IV. Among them, six(6) are grouped for continuous exercise and five(5) for intermediate exercise, total 11 people are finally tested. They are given hand&foot exercise, Korean folk dance and band exercise three times a week for the total 12 weeks. The continuous exercise group does their exercise one time of 30 minutes a day while the intermediate exercise group for three times of each 10 minute a day. For the result, SPSS Ver. 18.0 is used to get mean value(M) and standard deviation(SD) and in order to verify the interaction effect between exercise group and time, two-way repeated ANOVA is applied and statistical significance level is set at .05. The result shows that there is significant difference in time between senior fitness and cognitive function. But there is no significant difference in group and time
group. And there is no significant difference in time, group and time
group for daily living activity. Continuous exercise group and intermediate exercise group both have the similar effects. That does not mean that intermediate exercise is the best for all people with dementia, but in terms of exercise time, intermittent exercise may be effective for patients of light dementia.
Analysis of Operation Performance between Computerization Accounting Training and Accounting Information Systems

This study analyzed relation with accounting information system operations of more integration and end-user's business processing capabilities. Also, Studied the correlation that has reflecting between business computer skills and training experience level of end-user in practical operation. In summary of this study, first, found out that the improvement and training level of computerized accounting training in mid-size enterprise can be processing more effectively an accounting information business. Second, the end-user training and business development of business processes using the system, the positive impact was significant. Finally, the introduction of the continuous integration system based on new technology analyzed more lower overall performance satisfaction of end-user in the tasks. Business Ability of end-user could be important factor as ongoing business development and training. The results of this study, It can support to effective strategies of end-user systems, will expected to further strengthen competitiveness in the future.
The Study on the Motivation of Cruise Tourist and the Use Intention of Ubiquitous Service based upon ICT

This study investigates the needs of cruise tourists for building customer oriented ubiquitous tourism services. Through the field survey, the relationship between cruise tourism motivations and ubiquitous cruise services were analyzed. In this study, cruise tourism motivations mean destination attraction, family friendship, socialization, education/novelty and escape from daily routine. And ubiquitous cruise services are consists of boarding service, security service, safety service, customization service, and payment services. The results are as follows; cruise tourists with more socialization motivation get more use intention of ubiquitous payment service; cruise tourists with more destination attraction have more use intention of ubiquitous customization service.
A Study on the effects of one's blood type on brain function and corelation character of middle.high school

This study was purposed on revealing the connections between blood types and brain functions or correlation character among Junior and Highschool students. Observed records are from those kids who volunteered for KRIJUS(Korea Research Institute of Jungshin Science)'s brain wave measurement from September 2005 to December 2008. The whole 2208 Junior and Highschool studentskids group consists of junior 628 female, 1002 male and high 213 female, 365 male. Blood types are as follows A>B>O>AB dominately ordered. Second, blood type had no relations with corelation character. Third, blood type had no relations with brain function rate. Thus, it would not be such a wise decision to tell one's character depending on his/her blood type.
Effects of Physical Activity Program on Body Composition and Basic Motor Skills in Obese Children

The purpose of this study was to find the effects of physical activity program on obese young children's body composition and basic motor skills. The physical activity program was conducted with 16 participants whose Kaup Index were higher than 20 were divided into 2 groups(experimental group and control group) for 12 weeks three times a week. Results of the study are as following. First, the physical activity program was found to improve sub-factors of body composition(weight, body fat mass, % body fat, lean body mass and total body water) in the experimental group compared to the control group. There was statistically significant difference between two groups. Second, the physical activity program was found to improve locomotor and manipulation skills of basic motor skills in the experimental group compared to the control group. There was a statistically significant difference between two groups. Based on these results, the physical activity program have positive effects on the changes in obese young children's body composition and basic motor skills.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships between self-leadership(rehearsal, self-goal setting, self-respect) and empowerment, self-efficacy and innovation. In order to verify the relationships, data obtained from 305 employees working in Seoul were analyzed by using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 8.0. This study reports findings as follows: First, the relationship between the self-leadership(rehearsal, self-respect) and the empowerment is positively related. Second, there was also a positive correlation between the self -leadership(rehearsal, self-goal setting, self-respect) and the self-efficacy. Third, the empowerment is positively related with innovation, however self-efficacy has no correlation with innovation. Implications of these results for research and practice were discussed.

Recently, business environment is spreading from singular business to supply-chain problem. SCM(Supply Chain Management) is changing from closed and static to opened and dynamic environment, so these environment changes of SCM require to enterprise different approach than past. As supply chain is becoming opened and dynamic, a claim is being naming that converse of real-time the get reaction from to recognizing the level of supply chain problem, grope of alternative plan to solving this problem and choosing optimum alternative plan raise the enterprise competitive. But until present, the research to deal with these changes of SCM is on insufficient situation. Thus in this paper proposes the agent system by a way of realizing dynamic supply chain. The agent is going to accomplish the management activities in real-time depends on environment and given condition and designed for solving problems development and maintenance. Also, algorithms performance of the agent is tested on TAC SCM environment. Agents in TAC SCM are simulations of small manufacturers, who must compete with each other for both supplies and customers, and manage inventories and production facilities.

This paper presents a LED lighting decoration system with a LED candle color control that can independently change its color. The proposed processing was applied to the control of a LED candle that is composed of red, green, blue(RGB) LEDs. In order to go our of use switching device, we developed the LED candle drived luminescence and we will comercialize the result.
A Multiple Case Study on The Globally Integrated Enterprise

Globally Integrated Enterprise(GIE) has recently emerged as a popular concept in multinational enterprises(MNEs). In this paper, we use the AAA triangle in order to explain the degrees of adaptation, aggregation and arbitrage in IBM, P&G and NOKIA. The AAA triangle provides a basis for understanding GIE on the topic. This research also examines IT collaboration in order to provide practical guidance for implementation of AAA triangle. From the case study, several results are derived. First, we suggest a step-by-step approach for GIE to enhance global value creation with a situation. Second, we emphasize the importance of IT collaboration in process of introducing the AAA strategies. We believe that the issues we have raised in this paper will be useful to MNEs. In terms of the AAA triangle, this would be best thought of as a lateral shift to a new area of business, where the organization would have more of a competitive advantage.

In 21th century moving rapidly up to the knowledge and information society, creative problem-solving abilities are preferentially required to engineers. Though there may be various approaches to develop such abilities, PBL instruction method can be an effective alternative to develop such abilities. Recognizing this, one 'JPBL' model was constructed and introduced in this study. The model was developed independently based general existing PBL models and applied to university students to analyze its effectiveness in the aspect of class satisfaction and organizational commitment. Based on results, the meaning and limitation of the model development were discussed.

Blogs that allow two way communications are open to the public more than 20 million sites these days. The study tries to categorize and classify blogs based on the common representative factors. As blogs are changing dynamically, the study also tries to figure out key factors either for growing or perishing dynamics. The study develops the research idea from the independent variables such as contents factors and psychological factors to the controlling factors such as trust, attitude, and purchasing intention. The research found out that opinion leading and information seeking tendency are significantly related to the attitude to the internet shopping mall.
The effects of deep neck flexor exercise on pain and neck disability index of the patients with chronic neck pain

This study was to investigate the effectiveness of deep neck flexor exercise with using modalities in pain reduction and functional improvement to those who have chronic neck pain. The subjects were instructed the patients with chronic neck pain (37 people). Randomized study design of two groups was used: Only using modalities group and deep neck flexor exercise group with using modalities, and each group was taken by three times per week for 12 weeks. To evaluate the effects of therapies was to research the questionnaire about VAS(visual analog scale), NDI(neck disability index), and endurance of deep neck flexor before experiment, after 6 weeks and after 12 weeks. In visual analog scale(VAS) and neck disability index(NDI), there were significant decreased in using modalities group and deep neck flexor exercise group after 6 weeks more than before experiments but were only significant decrease in deep neck flexor exercise group after 12 weeks. The endurance of deep neck flexor was significantly increased in deep neck flexor exercise group after 6 weeks and 12 weeks more than before experiments. Thorough these results deep neck flexor exercise has the effectiveness to the therapies of chronic neck pain. Using the deep neck flexor exercise would be high effects on pain reduction and functional improvement and also considered in improving the living qualities of those who have chronic neck pain.
A oral health care and oral care habits in high school students

The purpose of this study was to examine the oral care habits, health care awareness of 439 high school students in Gangwon Province. the largest group (46.9%) brushed their teeth over the three times a day on the average, and the biggest group(47.6%) brushed their teeth within 30 minutes after having a meal or snack. In for the major reason for toothbrushing, the greatest group(45.1%) brushed in order to keep their mouth clean, and the largest group (54.4%) tried to do toothbrushing in the right way to prevent dental caries. Knowledge on oral health was surveyed that the oral health knowledge was the highest in 1st-grade students by grade and that the students with the less monthly pocket money led to the higher knowledge by monthly pocket money. The right oral care and the oral-health education will need to be reinforced. The oral health education for high school students will be needed further so that the oral care habit can be settled with having right oral health recognition.
The Effects of Massage and Static Stretching on Cervical Range of Motion in Their 20s of Normal Adult

The purpose of this study was to estimate the cervical range of motion and the effects of massage and static stretching in their 20s of normal adult. One hundred participants(massage=50, stretching=50) with no musculoskeletal and nervous system problems volunteered for this study. Massage and static stretching were applied to sternocleidomstoid, scalenes, trapezius, semispinalis, splenius, suboccipital, multifidi and rotatores. Both groups received intervention for 3 times in a week. The time the intervention was applied was for 10minutes. Effleurage, petrissage and stripping technique was applied to massage group and static stretching technique was applied to stretching group. The cervical range of motion (CROM) instrument was used to measure eight cervical motions (suboccipital flexion, suboccipital extension, neck flexion and extension, and left and right lateral flexion, left and right rotation). As a result of making a statistical analysis of the data, the following findings were given: First, normal cervical range of motion revealed; suboccipital flexion(

) in female. Second, women had greater range of motions than men in suboccipital flexion, left and right rotation(p<0.05). Third, it showed significantly increasing cervical range of motion in all directions within groups following treatments but not between groups(p<0.05). Our results suggest that massage and static stretching are an appropriate intervention to increase cervical range of motion by muscle relaxation and stretching and may be provided a basis for future studies investigating the cervical range of motion.
A Study on the Factors Giving Effects to Patient's Satisfaction in the Selection of Implant Operation

The study performed questionnaire to the patients receiving implant operation, who visited dental clinics and hospitals(2 hospitals and 5 clinics) from Jul. 1, 2009 to Sep. 12, 2009 in order to study the factors giving effects to patient's satisfaction in the selection of implant. 145 questionnaire papers collected from patients were analyzed with SPSS12.0 program. The result revealed that the satisfaction with implant operation was usually normal when implant was operated because of tooth extraction due to dental caries and periodontal disease and it was usually high when implant was operated because of wound(P<0.05). When considering each cause of tooth extraction, the satisfaction with pronunciation function was usually normal(P<0.001), the satisfaction with functional part including foreign body sense was very low when the cause of operation was periodontal disease(P<0.01). The satisfaction with hospital environment depending on the cause of hospital selection was usually high when hospital was selected because of doctor's fame. It was low when hospital was selected because it was close to home(P<0.001). The satisfaction with the number of hospital visits depending on the number of implanted teeth was usually low when many teeth were implanted(P<0.01). The analysis on the satisfaction with tooth shape and color showed that the satisfaction was high when '1~2' teeth and 'more than 6' teeth were implanted(P<0.05). In order to improve patient's satisfaction with implant, it is necessary to recognize individual's oral status and request correctly. It is determined that proposal of operation period, number of hospital visits, function and expected aesthetic satisfaction degree will contribute to the improvement of mutual reliance between doctor and patient and post-operation satisfaction degree.
Effects of 24 weeks of Training program on Aerobic Capacity, Body Composition, Physical Fitness, and Muscular strength in High School Sprinters

It is impossible for all athletes to be satisfied with a single training program due to the fact that they have different physiological characteristics and needs. However, paucity studies have been introduced a specific training program for high school sprinters. Therefore, this study was designed to help develop and introduce the training program with a physical examination to enhance sprinting performance for experienced high school sprinters. VO2max, muscular strength, basic physical ability, and body composition were measured before and after a 24 week training program. The following are the conclusions based on the results of this study: 1) body fat percentage was increased after 24 weeks of training. Fat free mass and the amount of water in the body increased by 1.5% and 1.1% respectively, 2)
maxand anaerobic threshold level showed a significant increase after 24 weeks of training, 3) exercise duration and anaerobic threshold duration were also increased after 24 weeks of training, but not statistically significant, and 4) muscular strength significantly increased due to the execution of combined weight training and circuit training. Development and implementation of the training program in this study made sprinters' physical capacities better in VO2max, anaerobic threshold, and muscular strength and body composition. Also, sprinters were able to increase fat free mass through 24 weeks of training due to increased muscle mass. Therefore, a training program for high school sprinters should include a physical examination to enhance sprinting performance and prevent sports injuries.
Effects of Taping Therapy by Methods on Back Pain and Muscle Flexibility of Bus Drivers's

The purpose of this study was to compared the effectiveness of erector spine taping and lumbar taping maintained in bus driver's back pain. The research subjects were some bus drivers working in Changwon, Masan, and Busan terminal. And we concluded this research; By selecting a group of 15 people taping erector spine, a group of lumbar taping, and a control group of 15 people randomly. Because we measured them before treatment and two weeks after treatment by the time, we could get the results which were as follows. The experiment group applied of taping therapy would be reduced in back pain when compared to the control group. The experiment group applied of taping therapy would be improved in muscle flexibility when compared to the control group. After treatment, the experiment group compared to control group showed decrease pain and an increase of flexibility. In conclusion, we could know that taping reduces back pain of bus drivers and gives a positive impact to muscle flexibility improvement, we finded out a distinct difference between the erector spine taping and the lumbar taping. Thus, the taping treatment can be applied easily to the bus driver and used as a way of therapeutic approach.
The Effects of Complex Exercise Program for Upper Extremity Function and Balance Proficiency in Person With Stroke: A Case-Study

The purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of complex exercise program for upper extremity function and balance proficiency in person with stroke. The subject in this study was a 68 year old woman with left hemiplegia after stroke, and the study period was from April 16th, 2005 to August 30, 2007. Complex exercise program was compromised of range of motion exercises, strengthening exercises, and repetitive task-oriented activities and so on, and the subject performed exercises three times a week, one hour a day. The upper extremity function of the subject was evaluated by the Brunnstrom Hand Recovery Stage, the Brunnstrom Upper Extremity Recovery Stage, the Fugl-Meyer Assessment of Motor Function, and the Manual Function Test, and the balance proficiency was measured by the Tinetti Gait & Balance Scale, and the One Leg Standing Test. The results indicated that the upper extremity test scores were all improved, the balance proficiency test marks were maintained and improved, therefore complex exercise program was effective method to forward upper extremity and balance proficiency in person with stroke.
A Survey of the Pain and Quality of Life of the Middle-Aged Women with the Subjective Symptom of Urinary Incontinence

The objective of this survey was to understand the effect of the subjective degree and pain of urinary incontinence on the quality of life of the middle-aged women with the subjective symptom of urinary incontinence. A questionnaire was carried out to investigate the quality of life in relation to urinary incontinence for 114 patients of chronic musculoskeletal system from Feb. to May in 2010. Overall, the subjects responded that their quality of life was medium((
score) and the pain related to urinary incontinence was low back pain. The degree of pain was between the moderate and a little severe in the VAS (Visual Analogue Scale) range of 4 to 7. It was also shown that the action of the subjects was affected by urinary incontinence in forms of avoidance limitation and psycosocial effect. Since the survey showed that the urinary incontinence and pain substantially affect the quality of life of the middle-aged women, the result may provide basic information in developing a practical intervention program.
A Literature Review of Clinical Trials on Alternative Medicine

The aim of this study is to know about condition of alternative medicine. Methods which An literature search in Pubmed January 2000 to March, 2010 was performed. RCT(Randomized Controlled Trial), CCT(Controled Clinical Trials), and OD(efficacy studies with either a controlled or an Other than controlled Design) were included. PubMed databases were searched using key terms relating to alternative medicine. 19 clinical trials were included among 682 studies searched. RCT was 44%, CCT was 16% and OD was 40% in the review. In the all of included studies, the acupuncture and the massage was the biggest part. The using rate was 20% of pain control about Disease of the Musculoskeletal system and Connective tissue, 15% of Certain infectious and parasitic diseases, and 15% of Neoplasms. There was lack of evidence that alternative medicine was effective for progress. Future well-designed clinical trials is needed.
Quality Characteristics of Injeulmi by Different Ratios of Red Ginseng Powder, Water and Sugar

The purpose of this study is to find out the optimal mixing ratios of three different amount of red ginseng powder(0, 5, 10%), water(12, 16, 20%) and sugar(4, 8, 12%) per weight of glutinous rice powder. The microbial count increased with increasing moisture content. The microbial count has decreased in 10% addition group though the microbial count according to the red ginseng powder addition did not have a difference the having mind in 5% addition group. Control group(the red ginseng powder no addition) showed an exponential increase in the change in hardness according to the amount of the red ginseng powder addition 24 hours after(except the moisture addition amount 20%). However, the change in devotion hardly appeared without the relation in moisture and the amount of the sugar addition in the addition group of the red ginseng powder 5%. Moreover, the change in hardness besides the moisture addition amount 12% hardly appeared also in the addition group of the red ginseng powder 10%. It has been understood that the red ginseng powder addition 5% crowd smells, and the taste and the color are suitable though it was clarified to the red ginseng powder addition 10% crowd that a peculiar smell taste and taste to the red ginseng are very strong by the sensory inspection. In conclusion, according to its microbial count, texture and sensory analyses, the optimal Injulmi formulation consisted of red ginseng powder, water and sugar were 5, 16 and 8%. The results suggested that red ginseng powder is effective in increasing the self life of Injulmi.
The clinical usefulness of 64 channel MDCT and 128 channel DSCT in coronary CT angiography

This study was retrospectively to compare the exposure dose and the imaging quality in coronary CT angiography by using the 64 channel multidetector computed tomography and the 128 channel DSCT. Effective dose was calculated dose length product (DLP) by multiplied the convention factor of chest (0.017). Imaging quality was assessed by radiologists using the 5-point Likert scale. The DLP was ranged from 851 to
(mean: 17.23 mSv) in the 64 channel MDCT and from 82 to
(mean: 1.58 mSv) in the of 128 channel DSCT, respectively. The score of imaging quality was respectively
in 64 channel MDCT and
in the 128 channel DSCT. The exposure dose of 128 channel DSCT has decreased 1ess 1/10. The score of imaging quality was significant difference between two modalities and the frequency (>4 good) in the 128 channel DSCT is about three times than that of the 64 channel MDCT. Therefore, the 128 channel DSCT in coronary CT angiography is clinically more effective modality for both investigators and patients.
Effectiveness of Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation(TENS) on the Changes of Postural Balance and Muscle Contraction following Muscle Fatigue

Muscle fatigue often induces deterioration of postural balance and muscle contraction, such as strength or maximal voluntary contraction(MVC). This study was to investigate the effects of transcutaneous electrical stimulation(TENS) applied to the fatigued muscles on postural imbalance and decline in muscle strength following fatigue of triceps surae. For the 4 months from March, 2010, twenty healthy subjects without vestibular disease and visual disturbance were recruited and induced muscle fatigue of triceps surea performed by repeated voluntary contraction. TENS was applied to gastocnemius immediately after development of muscle fatigue. Postural sway length, velocity and MVC were recorded under these conditions: pre-fatigue, post-fatigue, and TENS application to fatigued muscle during post-fatigue. Muscle fatigue increased postural imbalance as expressed by sway length and velocity and decreased muscle contraction(p<.05), while TENS improved the postural imbalance and MVC following muscle fatigue during stance(p<.05). The results suggested that fatigue on plantar flexor is associated with postural balance and muscle contraction, and TENS application to fatigued muscle was effective in improving postural imbalance and decline in muscle strength following muscle fatigue. TENS will be an effective method in exercise, working environment and daily life.
Suppressive effect of electrolyzed reduced water on the paraben-induced DNA damage in human dermal fibroblast cells

Parabens have been widely used as preservatives in cosmetics due to the presumed low toxicity and long history of safe use. However, recent studies have shown the potent toxicity of parabens. In order to know if electrolyzed reduced water could suppress the oxidative DNA damage of HDF cell by methylparaben, one of the frequently used parabens, we performed comet assay in this study. As a result, interestingly, electrolyzed reduced water could suppress methylparaben-induced oxidative DNA damage in HDF cells.
Correlation between Violence, Burn-out, and Self-esteem of 119 Rescue workers

The purpose of this study was to investigate on violence, burn-out, self-esteem of 119 rescue workers to prevent violence damage. This research design is correlation study. Data of 416 rescue workers were collected from March 10 to March 31, 2010. Data were analyzed using the SPSS Win 15.0 program. There was no a statistical significant between general characteristics of 119 rescue workers and violence. But there were statistical significant in age, marital status, certification, monthly income, work experience, position between general characteristics and burn-out, and self-esteem respectively(p<.05). Violence was positively related to burn-out and burn-out was negatively associated with self-esteem(p<.005). We need special precaution to prevent violence at the national level.
Effect of Ready Planned Small Group Collaboration Learning Program Through MBTI on Interpersonal Relationships and Career Identity of Nursing College Students

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of small group collaboration learning program through MBTI on interpersonal relationship and career identity of nursing college students. 30 experimental group and 30 control group, nursing students were randomly assigned 2nd grade nursing students were selected from nursing program of T university in Daegu, Korea. The 30 experimental group students received small group collaboration learning program through MBTI for 30 hours(2 times in a week for 15 weeks). Measures were MBTI test, interpersonal relationships and career identity scale. The data were analyzed with SPSS Win 17.0 program, chi-square test, t-test. The experimental group which received small group collaboration learning program through MBTI will have a higher level of interpersonal relationships and career identity change score than the control group.
Quality Characteristics of Brown Rice Dasik Using Scattered-flower Ladybell Powdered of Various Sugar

The principal objective of this study was to evaluate the physicochemical characteristics of scattered-flower ladybell powdered brown rice Dasik prepared with four kinds of sugars. We noted that the luminance of control sample was higher than that of BRSM and BRIM, but similar to BRFM sample. In Hunter's a of control were higher than those of BRFM and BRFM, but similar to BRSM sample. In Hunter's of b values were decreased. With regard to the mechanical properties of the Dasik samples, we noted significant differences in hardness, gumminess, chewiness but no differences in springiness and cohesiveness were detected. The hardness, gumminess, chewiness of control sample were lowered than those of BRSM and BRIM. The case of sensory evaluation, there were taste and texture of control sample were higher than those of BRSM and BRIM, but BRFM. And the overall quality of BRFM was significantly higher than those of BRSM and BRIM, but control sample.
The effect of Jojoba oil massage in dry skin

To evaluate the effect of jojoba oil massage in dry skin, 10 person with dry skin were selected and divided into two groups. One arm was treated with jojoba oil massage, the other arm wasn't treated. Jojoba oil Massage group were treated arm massage using jojoba oil for 10 minutes, 2 times per week for 4 weeks. The result was that jojoba oil massage group was increased in lipid and hydration. Especially, the more the number of massage times were increased, the more lipid and hydration were increased(lipid: t=-7.470, p<0.001(inner arm)/t=-4.666, p<0.01(outer arm), hydration:t=-3.966, p<0.01(inner arm)/t=-6.847, p<0.001(outer arm). Therefore, jojoa oil massage method was effective against dry skin.

Recent advances in computer technology have brought more dependence on software to railway systems and changed to computer systems. Hence, the reliability and safety assurance of the vital software running on the embedded railway system is going to tend toward very critical task. Accordingly, various software test and validation activities are highly recommended in the international standards related railway software. In this paper, we presented an automated analysis tool and standard for software testing coverage in railway system, and presented its result of implementation. We developed the control flow analysis tool estimating test coverage as an important quantitative item for software safety verification in railway software. Also, we proposed judgement standards due to railway S/W Safety Integrity Level(SWSIL) based on analysis of standards in any other field for utilizing developed tool widely at real railway industrial sites. This tool has more advantage of effective measuring various test coverages than other countries, so we can expect railway S/W development and testing technology of real railway industrial sites in Korea.
Relationship between Dielectric Constant and Increament of Si-O bond in SiOC Film

SiOC films made by the inductively coupled plasma chemical vapor deposition were researched the relationship between the dielectric constant and the chemical shift. SiOC film obtained by plasma method had the main Si-O-C bond with the molecule vibration mode in the range of

. However, the Si-O bond was formed from the second ionic sites recombined after the dissociation of Si-
. The increase of the Si-O bond induced the redshift as the shift of peak in FTIR spectra because of the increase of right shoulder in main bond. These results mean that SiOC films become more stable and stronger than SiOC film with dominant C-O bond. So it was researched that the roughness was also decreased due to the high degree of amorphous structure at SiOC film with the redshift after annealing.
Pulse Diagnosis Algorithm and Digital Filter Design for Development of Digital Biomedical System

The examination of pulse, which is a typical palpation technique in the oriental medicine, has been used conventional analog system for discrimination of 28 pulses. However, the clipping phenomenon in the pulses, which used same feature extraction technique with ECG signals, has been occurred in analog system due to feature extraction method and over amplification from the input signals. It caused inaccurate to analyze the pulse signals. In this paper, we propose a digital filter design technique based on Prony's method for signal modeling and C-spline interpolation for feature extraction from pulse signal to compensate analog pulse detection system. In addition, we suggest a compensated electronic pulse detection system comprising new pulse analyzing algorithm and shape analysis technique for pulses, which were difficult to use in analog system. The feasibility for new proposed system has been confirmed comparing output signals between electronic pulse detection system having proposed filter design techniques with pulse analyzing algorithm and conventional analog system.
200[W] Half-Bridge LLC Series Resonant Converter for driving LED Lamp

In comparison with some other light sources, LED has merits such as long lifetime, pollution free, and high energy efficiency. Lately, due to development of LED with high brightness and capacity, LED, which has been applied in display system only, has applied in the field of lighting system. Driving current of power LED has to be controlled below the designed value. In this paper, half-bridge LLC series resonant converter, which has the current limiting function, has been described. Half-bridge LLC series resonant converter allows in relatively wide input voltage and output load range when compared to the other resonant converter. Also, it is possible to reduce a magnetic component, because leakage inductance of transformer is used as a resonant inductance. It has been validated by designing and testing 200[W] half-bridge LLC converter of DC24[V] output voltage for LED lamp driver, which includes a current limiting function and power factor correction(PFC) function.

In this paper, for the purpose of improving the future domestic train control systems and securing interoperability according to the global development trends of train control systems, we present the test results of communication interfaces to verify the interoperability between CBTC wayside units tentatively installed in Bundang line that is one of the metropolitan area rail transit systems, and the CBTC onboard units developed through the national R/D project. The CBTC onboard equipment developed, has finished its installation and trial tests in the Bundang shunting yard. For the interoperability test, we should make an interface test with wayside equipment tentatively installed in Bundang line. Due to the safety-critical characteristics of train systems, the site test in the section where the wayside equipment is installed, leads to a danger against safety. Therefore, by way of constructing a simulation environment of train control systems, we confirm the T/R data systems of the equipment for interoperability and test the interoperability by applying these systems to developed CBTC onboard equipment.
The Direction Finding Error of TDOA Method According to the Antenna Arrangement

A direction finding(DF) technology of a signal is very important for electronic warfare and has studied for a long time. The method of TDOA(time difference of arrival) is one of good DF methods in this time, and that is to receive an emitter signal with two antennas, to measure the time difference of a signal at two antennas, and converse the time difference to direction of the signal. For small DF error, high time resolution receiver and long baseline are needed. In this paper we suggest a good baseline with adaptive antenna arrangement into 10m*10m area.

In this thesis, the effect of switch maintenance improvement is confirmed after testing and operating the switch monitoring system that were researched and developed originally in order to improve method of electric switch maintenance. However, as in an automatic interlocking station where a ground crew was not placed, repair and inspection could not be carried out until the maintenance person comes in case of switch problems or maintenance. In order to improve this issue, control module was installed in a monitoring system which can communicate through a data radio to a remote computer. Thus, the monitoring device can receive control information which a remote computer commands during the operation of switches. Afterward, it shows information on the real-time status of swith, in particular, anomaly situation through user interface after the switch is operated. By improving performance of the monitoring system in this way which can be managed and controled at a remote place, the prompt countermeasure system in case of disruption will be built and as a result, efficiency and convenience of maintenance improvement will be expected to increase.

in the azimuthal plane. The proposed Yagi antenna is designed with 3 directors and one driven element on a dielectric substrate. Also, a microstrip-to-CPS balun is designed and applied to the proposed antenna for balanced feeding of the dirven element. The performance of the proposed antenna has been verified by comparing the simulation and measurement results.

This paper develops an interconnection test devices for photovoltaic(PV) systems composed of distribution system simulator, PV systems simulator and control and monitoring systems using the LabVIEW S/W, and simulates the customer voltage characteristics considering the 3 parameters on the introduction capacity for PV systems, system configuration and load factor. This paper also proposes a new calculation algorithm for voltage profile to make a comparison between calculation values and test device values. The results show that the test results for the normal operation characteristics of PV systems is very practical and effective.
A Study on Monopole Antenna Radiation Pattern inside Vehicle

In this paper, the antenna radiation pattern inside the vehicle is presented for observing the change occurring in non-anechoic environment using monopole antenna. The environment for radio communication can be affected by antenna characteristic variation inside the small space existing multi reflection waves. To perform simulation and measurement about antenna radiation pattern, the radio frequency bands for GPS and Wibro services expected to use inside the vehicle is selected. The simulation is based on the ray-tracing method and the radiation pattern is measured inside the vehicle and in free space using monopole antenna having those frequency bands. In accordance with the measurement and simulation results, when two antennas are put inside the vehicle, the omni-directional characteristic of the antenna is maintained but the received power is increased than free space case and the difference between the each case of measurements is increased as the operating frequency is increased.

A leader is a special process who roles as the coordinator within multiple processes of a group. In a distributed system, leader election is the procedure of electing a coordinator. This is a very important issue for building fault-tolerant distributed systems. When two normal mobile ad hoc networks are merged, there are two leaders. This violates the safety property, so a mechanism to detect and handle are required. In mobile ad hoc distributed computing system, we propose a leader competition protocol and to prove the temporal logic to it. This solution is based on the group membership detection algorithm.

Intrusion detection system has abilities to detect abnormal behavior and unknown intrusions also it can detect intrusions by using patterns studied from various penetration methods. Various algorithms are studying now such as the statistical method for detecting abnormal behavior, extracting abnormal behavior, and developing patterns that can be expected. Etc. This study using clustering of data mining and association rule analyzes detecting areas based on two models and helps design detection system which detecting abnormal behavior, unknown attack, misuse attack in a large network.
Adaptive MPSAM technology for Compensation of Rayleigh Fading Channels

In this paper, the adaptive MPSAM is suggested in order to analyze and improve problems caused by the case of the impact of delay waves on Pilot Symbol Assisted Modulation (PSAM), a singular Pilot method. PSAM predicts and compensates amplitude and phases caused on fading channels, using the Pilot Symbol. In addition, the Basic method is not only analyzed but also grafted onto the suggested method properly; therefore, the performance could be improved. Comparing to the Basic method, the BER performance can be distinguished in case that the level of delay on delay waves with the suggested method goes below 0.7. On the other hand, the BER performance can be inferior due to a considerable effect of the adjacent symbol in the event that the level of delay on delay waves is worse. However, the BER performance is rather improved on the point where the level of delay on delay waves is serious because the Basic method uses reciprocal compensation. Hence, stable improvement can be expected in all areas which receive the influence of delay waves within one symbol once grafted onto the suggested method.

Iris recognition is a biometric technology that uses iris pattern information, which has features of stability, security etc. Because of this reason, it is especially appropriate under certain circumstances of requiring a high security. Recently, using the iris information has a variety uses in the fields of access control and information security. In extracting the iris feature, it is desirable to extract the feature which is invariant to size, lights, rotation. We have easy solutions to the problem of iris size and lights by previous processing but there is still problem of iris feature extract invariant to rotation. In this paper, To improve an awareness ratio and decline in speed for a revision of rotation, it is proposed that the iris recognition method using Zernike Moment and Daubechies Wavelet. At first step, the proposed method groups rotated iris into similar things by statistical feature of Zernike Moment invariant to a rotation, which shortens processing time of iris recognition and looks equal to an established method in the performance of recognition too. therefore, proposed method could confirm the possibility of effective application for large scale iris recognition system.
Conceptual Design for a Diagnosis System of Vehicle Performance using the Satellite Telemetry Technology

Because most of vehicle provide users with the very limited information regarding the performance of vehicle, it is quite difficult for users to drive vehicles safe, and to maintain and repair vehicles properly. In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, several ways of research and development for the vehicle control and diagnosis system have been recently carried out. However, a lot of complicated problems and difficulties were arising due to the complexity of the developed system, degradation of the reliability for the vehicle performance control system, operational malfunction and so on. In this paper, for the purpose of solving the difficult problems and technical limitations, a system for vehicle performance which might be able to diagnose the reliability of vehicle performance by measuring and analyzing the real time performance of vehicle using the satellite telemetry technology was conmance oly defined and deehiced.hihe results derived from the cormance ofdvehiclactivities in this study shall be used as not only fundamental data but also materials for the detailed design for the implementation of vehicle performance diagnosis system in the near future.
XML-based Variable Data Publishing System with Dynamic Editing and Formatting Function

Existing XML-based variable data publishing, in which a user has to manually prepare and edit template rules, is rather difficult for general users to create documents. Especially when processing large variable XML documents such as manuals or technical documents, fast document formatting is required to provide fast response speed for editing, which the existing batch processing cannot provide. This paper proposes a variable data publishing system with dynamic editing and formatting function, which support fast formatting upon user's request for large volume documents as well as for template editing through interaction by displaying the result of template-based variable documents on WYSIWYG screen. Proposed system can be effectively used for creating customized documents with many variable data that can be changed according to individual characteristics such as individual, company or area; source documents, template documents and formatted documents adopt XML, XSLT and XPath standards suggested by W3C, which facilitates extension to web document processing system.
A Study on Sharing the Remote Devices through USB over IP

This paper is related to the method for sharing some remote devices through USB/IP on the connected system environment. Sharing the remote devices is actually based on the connection technology using USB which is one way of access methods on virtualized server environment. The users who receive server computing unit might want to connect to remote allocated server with the local devices. We can solve the problem of the access methods related to the sharing devices through USB device emulation. This paper discusses the implementation of USB emulation which is based on personalized services on virtualized server environment. Like this, this paper will share devices on the level of USB device. This research can write to the device directly due to virtualizing the device level.
Boolean Factorization Using Two-cube Non-kernels

A factorization is a very important part of multi-level logic synthesis. The number of literals in a factored form is an estimate of the complexity of a logic function, and can be translated directly into the number of transistors required for implementation. Factored forms are described as either algebraic or Boolean, according to the trade-off between run-time and optimization. A Boolean factored form contains fewer number of literals than an algebraic factored form. In this paper, we present a new method for a Boolean factorization. The key idea is to identify two-cube nonkernel Boolean pairs from given expression. Experimental results on various benchmark circuits show the improvements in literal counts over previous other factorization methods.

The purpose of this study is to survey the outdoor living space of apartment housing complexes in Daejeon area and to find out the degree of satisfaction, the frequency of use, the preference of facilities and the degree of importance. This study insists that the recognition about the residents' changing demands and interests be considered more important than the aesthetic design. Moreover, it can be proposed as the basic resource which can be used for the social demands. Therefore, various perspectives about the outdoor living space of apartment housing complexes can play an vital role in improving the design process and developing better residential environment.

Urban Skyline is strongly influenced by high-rise buildings. It is changed and becoming over time and is formed by the human choice. This study does an analysis of the foreign urban skyline managements in three aspects: criteria and control, operation and deliberation, and citizen participation and inducement. It draws common characteristics of foreign cases; preparing rational and premeditated building height control in the aspect of district, transformation from height restrictions of individual building to height standards in the aspect of urban landscape, devising efficient design review and citizen participation methods, and administrative processing for an integrated building height management. It also suggests policy implications for preparing both comprehensive and systematic building height standards in the aspect of district to create a desirable city image and urban skyline.

An Assessment Method for Hazardous Region of Flash Flood in Mountainous Areas

Most prevention efforts have been made for relatively large watersheds near to channel flow. However, as economical development and the expansion of leisure areas to mountainous region, human casualty by flash flood occurs frequently, requiring additional prevention activity. Therefore, to minimize the damage of human lives and property by flash flood, we develop a methodology to assess the risk of flash flood occurrence for mountainous areas considering various factors involving it. For accomplishing the task, we selected the assessment indexes such as the characteristics of region, rainfall and land in mountainous area. And considering the characteristics of these indexes, the assessment method was suggested to assess and select the reasonable points for flash flood warning system. The suggested method was applied to BongHwa region and the application process of this method was explained.
Nonlinear Flexural Analysis of RC Beam Rehabilitated by Very-Early Strength Latex-Modified Concrete

Latex modification of concrete provides the material with higher flexural strength, as well as high bond strength and reduced water permeability. One of the most advantages of the very early-strength latex-modified concrete (VES-LMC) could be the similar contraction and expansion behaviour to normal concrete substrate, which enable to ensure long-term performance. The purpose of this study was to parametric nonlinear flexural nonlinear analysis of RC beam rehabilitated by VES-LMC. The results were as follows; The flexural nonlinear analysis model of RC beam overlaid by VES-LMC in ABAQUS was proposed to predict the load-deflection response, interfacial stress, and ultimate strength. The proposed FE analysis model was verified by comparison of an experimental data and the FE analysis results. The FE analysis results showed that yield point as well as flexural stiffness increased as the depth increased; the stiffness of beam overall increased as the bond stiffness became larger; the bond strength between two different materials is a key factor in composite beam. A parametric study showed that an overlay thickness was a main influencing factor to the behavior of RC beam overlaid by VES-LMC.

In this study,
absorption properties at high pressure condition that can apply pre-combustion
capture were investigated for physical sorbent such as PEG, DMSO, and Sulfone. The
Solubility, regeneration, and initial absorption rate with temperature and pressure were measured using batch type stirred cell contactor. The PEG showed the highest
solubility and initial absorption rate. It can be found that all the physical sorbents used in this experiments were almost completely regenerated at various temperature and pressure.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of flowing the industrial wastewater effluents into the K lake which is located in the A city on the eutrophication. The lake was modelled as a continuous stirred-tank reactor. Phosphorus and Chl-a concentration in the lake were calculated to

In this study, the 3D computational fluid dynamics (CFD) was performed in relation to the internal fluid characteristics, flow distribution, air mean ages, and residence time for the development of the most optimal model in the complex post-disposal device. As it is expected that a channeling (drift) would be made by the semi-dry reactor due to the large difference in the flow distribution by the compartment in the bag filter, a structural improvement should be urgently made for more uniformed flow distribution in the bag filter. In addition, it showed the possibility that the velocity field and distribution characteristics of the residence time could be improved through a modification to inlet structure of the spray dryer reactor. The complex post-disposal device, modified and supplemented with this analysis, integrated the semi-dry reactor and the bag filter in a single body, so it follows that the improvement can make the device compact, the installation area, the operation fee, and management more convenient.
First-Order Mass Transfer in a Diffusion-Dominated (Immobile) Zone of an Axisymmetric Pore: Semi-Analytic Solution and Its Limitations

Comparison of the classical mobile-immobile zone (MIM) model to the derived model led to several conclusions. If the MIM model is to be applied, the initial concentration in the immobile zone has to be down-scaled by a correction factor that is a function of pore geometry. The MIM model was valid only after sufficiently long time has passed, i.e., only after the diffusion front reaches the deepest pore wall in the immobile zone. The MIM mass-transfer coefficient
, was inversely proportional to the square of the pore depth. Also it did not depend on the mobile-zone flow velocity, contrary to the number of laboratory and field observations. The classical MIM model displayed a rapid exponential decay of immobile-zone concentration. Meanwhile at large times, the newly derived model displayed similar exponential decay. This was contrary to the mounting evidence of power-law BTC tails observed in laboratory and field settings.

This study is intended to understand flame behavior of the pool fire by height of fire source. Liquid fuels were methanol and n-Heptane which are used in many studies of pool fire. Size of vessel was
and the vessel was made by stainless steel. Combustion time, mass loss rate, flame temperature, flame height and air entrainment rate from the outside to flame were measured, and flame behavior was visualized with video camera. Based on the experiment, it was found that combustion characteristics of pool fire was decreased according to increase of height of fire source because entrainment volume of relative cold air was increased from the outside to flame.
