Model Development by Structural Analysis of Vinyl House at Heavy Snow

Existing and developed models of vinyl house are simulated by 3 dimensional and analysis program. When heavy snow lays 250 mm deep, this paper aims to investigate how its load affects the vinyl house and what deformation happens with structural analysis. Its maximum deformation is decreased to more than 50 % by developing this model in comparison with the existing model. Its developed model is more safe than existing model and its manufacturing expense can be reduced.
In-Plane Vibration Analysis of Asymmetric Curved Beams Using DQM

The free in-plane vibration of asymmetric circular curved beams with varying cross-section is analyzed by the differential quadrature method (DQM) neglecting transverse shearing deformation. Natural frequencies are calculated for the beams with various opening angles and boundary conditions. Results obtained by the DQM are compared with available results by other methods in the literature. It is found that the DQM gives the good accuracy even with a small number of grid points.
Assessment of Low Velocity Impact Damage of Filament Wound Composite Vessels with Surface Protective Materials

This paper presents the impact damage behavior of filament wound composite vessels and the effect of surface protective materials on their impact resistance. Using an instrumented impact testing machine, a series of impact tests was performed on the base panels and the protected panels (panels with surface protective materials of rubber, kevlar/epoxy or glass/epoxy laminates) that were cut from the full scale vessel. And the impact damage parameters were used to identify the effect of protective materials on the damage resistance of composite vessels. Damage resistance of the composite vessels was considerably affected by the protective materials regardless of the shape of the indenters. Among the protective materials, glass/epoxy laminates was the most effective mean for improving the damage resistance of composite vessels.

According to the results of survey analyses, student`s key competencies and satisfaction reports high values on engineering design projects.
An Analysis on the Important Weight of Evaluation Items in Technology Transfer using AHP

A technology transfer from public research centers or national universities to a company is an increasing phenomenon. The purpose of this study is thus to identify the major evaluation criteria of technology transfer from a company viewpoint and establish the importance weights of criteria through 2 level AHP analysis. First, 12 critical elements are extracted from previous studies and professional interview and these elements are tied into 4 factors; technological factor, organizational factor, environmental factor, and strategic factor. The results of AHP analysis show that strategic factor is more important and `the growth of the technology` in the strategic factor is the most important element. This study will be used usefully when researchers in public research centers or national universities try to develop a technology considering a technology transfer to the other company.

Science business park(SBP) has been formulated and developed for the purpose of economic development. In addition to the Daedeok Innopolis, cities of Daegu, Gwangju, and Sejong are considering making the SBP in now. Research Triangle Park(RTP) which was planned by the local government, industry, and academic leaders has been developed for 50 years and has planned the next strategy. This RTP experience is very precious to Korean cases and can be contribute to three cities and other regions. Key success factors of Korean SBP are as follows, research capability and talents, visionary local leadership and collaboration, creative business model, and quality of life.

In this paper, we develope the bucket driven dredger for sludge treatment in box type culvert. The dreadger is opererated in
box type narrow culvert under the road, and controlled using remote controller on the remote zone. In order to operate under dangerous environment, we develope the bucket drived dredger, and we will commercialize the result.
The Task-Based Approach to Website Complexity and The Role of e-Tutor in e-Learning Process

In this study, we examine what components of e-learning environment affect e-learners` satisfaction. We focus on the task based approach to perceived website complexity(PWC). We study about the role of e-tutor using the internet, telephone, text message and e-mail etc. To test our model, we collected 235 data from online learners of Korea Culture & Content Agency using survey method. The research was conducted by SPSS15.0. Our results show that the relationship between PWC and e-learner satisfaction was negative. The rules of e-tutor are supporting e-learning service and facilitating recommendation intention. This study provides implications to design future e-learning service, understand user`s herd behavior and evaluate learning process developed.
The Load Forecasting in Summer Considering Day Factor

In this paper, we propose a quadratic (nonlinear) regression model that forecasts daily demands of electric power in summer. For cost-effective production (and/or procurement) of electric power, forecasting demands of electric power with accuracy is important, especially in summer when temperature is high. In the literature, temperature and daily demands of preceding days are typically employed to construct forecasting models. While, we consider another factor, day of the week, together with temperature and daily demands of preceding days. For validating the proposed model, we demonstrate the forecasting accuracy in terms of MAPE(Mean Absolute Percentage Error) and MPE(Maximum Percentage Error) using field data from KEPCO(Korea Electric Power Corporation) in comparison with two forecasting models in the literature. When compared with the two benchmarks, the proposed forecasting model performs far better providing MAPE and MPE not exceeding 3.08% and 8.99%, respectively, in summer from 2005 to 2009.

The technology of WiBro, combining advantages of high speed internet and wireless internet provides the effectiveness and convenience provided by broadband and convergence. WiBro has developed due to supports of the related industries. The advancement of WiBro have created driving force for network advancement. WiBro is a niche market among high speed Internet, wireless LAN, Mobile phone, wireless internet. Through building relationship between market share and the existed telecommunication service, WiBro could improve the convenience of users. The security controls have to be built considering vulnerabilities of WiBro. Based on the study, the architecture of WiBro was suggested through reviewing the vulnerabilities and security controls in the wireless network and wire network. The appropriate security measures to be applied in the environment of WiBro. The outcomes of the study could improve the usage of WiBro.
Decision Making for Train Maintenance Facility using Simulation and Entropy measurement

The scholarly concern of train industry has been improved, since country focuses on this field. Especially, train maintenance facility has been studied for construction, because the facility is important to inspect the train that transports passenger and cargo. Various operation plans and criteria are considered to build train maintenance facility. In this paper, the decision making of train maintenance facility for construction is studied and analyzed with simulation, because mathematical theory is restricted to consider various operation plans and criteria. Through simulation, we analyze warm-up after selecting dependent factors, and extract data. The data is used to select a alternative in this problem, Multiple Attribute Decision Making(MADM). Previous study is difficult, complex and subjective for decision making. However, entropy measurement we used help decision maker for decision making, easily, simply, and objectively. This method can have decision maker choose the best alternative in case the train maintenance facility construction is fast revitalized.

This research was conducted to develop a model appropriate for the measurement of information quality of UCC service site. The evaluation factors that reflect more improvement of the information utilization capability were verified. Enhancement of information utilization capability can control greater amount of information among the users and site companies, and among users. Therefore, Wikipedia, for example, provides a Web 2.0 based information quality that is more advanced than Web 1.0 by allowing effective control of information among the users. This type of information quality presents `information reliability` and `information stability` as evaluation factors added to the factors such as `information sufficiency` and `information usability.` Information reliability and information stability are essential factors that need to conduct an evaluation in the Web 2.0 environment that can distribute greater number of information in the environment where all the users serve as participants. Moreover, `interesting information` and `originality of information` suggests that information itself should include the attributes that can attract the attention of users, due to the nature of the Attention Economics, which points out one of the Web 2.0 phenomenon that the number of information consumers is smaller than that of information suppliers.
The Study on the Demand Investigation of the International Ship Instrument Distribution Center Construction

The purpose of this paper is as follow. The first is to investigate ship instrument supplier`s and consumer`s needs. The second is to study a feasibility of international ship instrument distribution center at Busan port. Therefore, the research scheme was experimented through a questionnaire survey answered by 878 companies. The results of this research indicate the necessity of ship instrument distribution center. The results of this study will be helpful for the success management of ship instrument distribution center.

This paper estimated the technical specialization of UAV system by analyzing related patents. For that, variable indicators such as patent numbers regarding country, subsystem technic, periods and revealed number of patents are used in this paper. RPA and PII index are also used to estimate technical specialization of the coutry. Positive RPA value means superior competitiveness, and vice versa. PII means the quality of the patent. PII value more than 1 means that the quality of the patent is better than others, Otherwise the quality of the patent is worse. This paper estimated the specialization of technologies among countries using above two index.
A Study to improve the Recognition System of North Korea`s Technical Qualification

The number of North Korean refugees entering South Korea since the mid 1990s has increased continuously and recently the number has reached 2 million people, which is expected to continue to rise. In the meantime, the government of South Korea has been developing various means to help the North Korean refugees take part in our society and to increase their self-reliance. In this study, improvements were made to systems where North Korean national qualifications are made eligible for use in South Korea, to help them better adapt to our society. The research conducted a Delphi survey of 70 professional qualified workers, training specialists, qualified professionals, researchers and government agents, and 6 interviews were carried out to North Korean refugees and qualified judges. The results complement the current system, in terms of eligibility qualification procedures, where the department`s role in its qualification procedure is enhanced and practical experiences are added to the procedure.

Development and promotion of foreign tourism products is an important factor for economical side as well as to improving the foreign relation and the image of nation. Also, foreign tourism products can give a positive effect in activation of the domestic tourism industry and foreigner`s domestic visit. Thus, development and promotion of travel industry may offer competitive power of the specification country and a development opportunity, and influence in investment infancy of different industry. Therefore, in this study, service quality of this foreign tourism products analyze effect about customer satisfaction and re-purchase intention, investigated competitive power factors of the tourism industry in the future. In the final study, service quality patten, confidence, attraction could be influenced on customer satisfaction, reliability and responsiveness was not affected by the other factors. This study may suggest guideline that analyze the special character factors of the tourism industry future, or develop the critical success factor of foreign tourism products.
Industrial Relations Comparison between Korea and U.K.

In this research, I tried to make a comparative study of ideological characteristics of Industrial Relations between Korea and U.K., based on the presupposition that ideologies of Industrial Relations` Actors played an important role in Industrial Relations. U.K. have a voluntary and pluralistic ideological tradition of Industrial Relations, therefore U.K. is very rational to adjust and integrate different ideologies of actors. Meanwhile Korea have unrealistic, exclusive and rigid ideologies, therefore these have played a important role in worsening labor-management conflicts. For example strikes frequencies and workers involved in strikes are relatively few, but Workdays Lost due to strikes are very severe because of long strike durations, compared to U.K. Consequently national economic loss due to strikes has been severe. Korea trade unions are various and poor, but at the same time not mutual understanding in ideologies. Therefore from the viewpoint that strength in U.K.`s Industrial Relations stands on the power of adjusting different ideologies, we have to diminish the disparities between ideologies and realities of Industrial Relations through public discussion.
Co-Branding Strategies of Medical Devices in Wonju Cluster

This study was carried out to present a co-brand strategies of medical equipment manufacturers in Wonju city. Based on the result of the analysis, followings were proposed. First, an adequate education and a publicity for the importance of a co-brand are required, and it needs to reinforce the recognition on quality differentiation through a technology development and the importance of quality control. Second, establishing a system to secure the brand reliability and operating a program to monitor the technology development and quality are required. Third, it needs to implement a joint participation with priority for establishing a sales network, advertize and a publicity. Fourth, an alternative may needed in order to maximize the synergy effect of the co-brand project and minimize any possible conflicts among participants. Fifth, securing a reliability is needed to acquire the ability to manage the brand and derive member`s active participation.
A Compartive Study on the Overseas Business Activity of Insurance Companies in Korea and Germany - a Case of German Legal Expenses Insurance Company -

This paper attempts to find out implications based on the comparative analysis of overseas expansion model between the Korean insurance companies and the German one. There are three types of the strategies of the overseas-expansion-model of insurer, i.e. customer-oriented localized strategy, niche market-oriented strategy, and growing market-oriented strategy. From the review of related literatures and through an interview conducted by the insurance specialist, the findings are some differences between Korean and German insurance companies, when they go into foreign insurance markets. Th significant differences between Korean and German insurers are a customer oriented localized strategy and niche market oriented strategy. The Korean insurer shows a strength on the overseas-expansion-strategy, but the most clients of the Korean insurer on overseas markets are also Korean companies and Korean immigrants. The Korean legal expenses insurance market is yet in its embryonic stage, while the German legal expenses insurance company is pushing ahead with a strategy focused on localization and niche market on the legal expenses insurance product. In conclusion, like a case of the German legal expenses insurance company, the Korean insurer needs a customer oriented localized strategy as well as a niche market oriented strategy on the overseas insurance market.
Evaluation of university funding research program via social network analysis

This research develops an evaluation framework of social network analysis, overlooked in traditional program evaluation, and applies to university funding research program. By setting degree increase, an indicator of level of research collaboration, as a goal from the viewpoint of network, we can conclude that researchers funded by university in a form of competition show statistically significant changes in degree increase via one-way ANOVA and permutation-based simulation. This research provides a tool for measuring and managing the degree of contribution of university funding to promoting research collaboration.
An Analysis on the Firms` Financial Performance of 2005 Coupon-System Management Consulting

It has been over a decade since the business consulting services by SMBA started in order to build up competitiveness through supporting small and medium enterprises under the business environment of globalization. No matter how there is no post empirical data of evaluation. Therefore, this study is focused on analysing the practical performance of Coupon System Management Consulting(CSMC) by comparing the financial condition for a few years before and behind since the companies have been involving in. As a result, the statistical significances of research hypotheses were rejected for the most part. Moreover, the growth rates of sales and total assets of which each of them is one of the indicators concerning growth and activity, are negatively significant, which means that CSMC the needs comprehensive consideration about its efficiency and in all its aspects.
Development and Application of Development Principles for Clinical Information Model

To be applicable under electronic health record system in order to ensure semantic interoperability of clinical information, the development principle for clinical information model to reflect objective and function is required. The aim of this study is to develop the development principles for clinical information model and evaluate the Clinical Contents Model. In order to develop the principle, from November 2008 to March 2009, the surveys about 1) definition, 2) function and 3) quality criteria were done, and 4) the components of advanced model were analyzed. The study was processed in 3 levels. Firstly in the development level, key words and key words-paragraph were driven from the references, and the principles were drawn based on the clinical or functional importance and frequency. In the application level, the 3 experts of clinical information model assessed 30 Clinical Contents Models by applying it. In the feedback level, the Clinical Contents Model in which errors were found was modified. As the results, 18 development principles were derived with 3 categories which were structure, process and contents. The Clinical Contents Models were assessed with the principles, and the 17 models were found that they did not follow it. During the feedback process, the necessity of the advanced education of the principle and the establishment of the regular quality improvement strategy to use it is raised. The proposed development principle supports the consistent model-development between clinical information model developers, and could be used as evaluation criteria.
A Study on Musculoskeletal Symptom and Pain related to Working Posture of Operation-Room Workers.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to identify musculoskeletal symptom and pain related working posture with operation-room workers. Methods: The subjects of this study were 73 people who were working from hospital operating-room. A questionnaire consisting of general characteristics, pain symptoms, and pain frequency was given. Objective working posture analysis was done by using REBA after recording moving images in hospital operating-rooms. Results: The result were as follows. The risk level of musculoskeletal symptom related working posture was high, and the management level was at the least 2; `some management was required for musculoskeletal symptom`. The frequency of pain was 3~4 times/week and the severe pain were experienced from legs, neck, and shoulder. The result of relation of general characteristics and pain were significant variable with sex, age, marital status, weight, past working history, average working time(hr/day), working style, and working department. Conclusion: These results contribute to a better understanding of operation-room workers have high possibility of musculoskeletal disease and are severe musculoskeltal pain related working posture.
Establishment of Health City Development Plan Using BSC Technique -The Case of `N`-Gun Health Center-

Although it is Gun area, `N`-Gun in Gyeongsangnam-Do has continually been implementing the `health city` project after it entered the program in 2005 to promote healthy lives of its residents. It is evaluated that there has been a considerable achievement; on the other hand, however, as the circumstances surrounding `N`-Gun are rapidly changing, needs for new advanced `health city` projects with improved qualities are growing. This study was conducted to suggest a advanced model of `health city` plan through the case analysis of `N`-Gun in Gyeongsangnam-Do. For this purpose, international as well as national health-city-related literature and data were broadly gathered and reviewed, and, based on this, we established `N`-Gun Health City development plan, utilizing BSC(Balanced Scorecard) technique. Main contribution and implication of this study would be the suggestion of the model whereby the problems that many existing health city plans are facing can be systematically evaluated, and more effective methods of developing the plan can be applied based on the evaluation. Also, it is especially expected that the BSC technique would be a very useful framework for developing health city plans in the future.
Impact of Pursuit Sought on Satisfaction Level and Behavioral Intention among Visitors in a Health Care and Medical Equipment Fair

The purpose of this study was to examine the satisfaction level and behavioral intention of visitors in a health care and medical equipment fair in consideration of their benefits sought. The purpose is basically meant to identify the relationship of variables related to the satisfaction level of the visitors, their satisfaction level with benefits sought and behavioral intention to provide useful information to hosts of health care and medical equipment fairs and related people. The subjects in this study were 250 people who were selected from among the visitors in a health care and medical equipment fair in Wonju. After a survey was conducted, the collected data were analyzed by SPSS 14.0 and AMOS 16.0 programs, and descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability analysis and structural equation modelling were utilized. The findings of the study were as follows: Benefits sought had a significant impact on satisfaction level and behavioral intention, and satisfaction level affected behavioral intention in a significant manner as well. This study used 3 kinds of experimental toothpaste with different contents(0%, 1.1%,2.2% of SLS. A total of 150 young adults in their 20`s without any systemic disease were recruited for the study. These 150 subjects were subdivided into three groups(each having 50 subjects) according to the results of preliminary oral examination.After 4 weeks application of the three groups of toothpaste, Group C showed the highest halitosis index, followed by Groups A and B which had similar halitosis indices. Car black box helps to investigate the cause of accident by recording time, position and videos as well as shock information. In addition, the car black box need a function to support safe driving for preventing accident. The representative driving support function is a lane departure warning. In order to implement the function, it is necessary to carry out the image processing to detect the lane first. The image processing algorithm requires computational burden to handle so much data and complicated structure of algorithm. This paper describes the efficient image processing algorithm with relatively low amount of computation for car black box embedded platform to detect lanes from the real-time lane image.

Nowadays, the PV systems have been focused on the grid connection between the power source and the grid. The PV inverter can be considered as the core of the whole system because of an important role in the grid-interfacing operation. An important issue in the inverter control is the load current regulation. In the literature, Proportional Integral (PI) controller, which is normally used in the current-controlled Voltage Source Inverter (VSI), cannot be a satisfactory controller for an AC system because of the steady-sate error and the poor disturbance rejection, especially in high-frequency range. Compared with conventional PI controller, Proportional Resonant (PR) controller can introduce an infinite gain at the fundamental frequency of the AC source; hence it can achieve the zero steady-state error without requiring the complex transformation and the de-coupling technique. Theoretical analyses of both PI and PR controller are presented and verified by simulation and experiment. Both controller are implemented in a 32-bit fixed-point TMS320F2812 DSP processor and evaluated on a 3kW experimental prototype PV Power Conditioning System (PCS). Simulation and experimental results are shown to verify the controller performances.

In this paper, embedded control system of segway robot using model based design is presented. Design of control program in embedded system can be implemented simply and easily by model based design method using MATLAB/SIMULINK. Segway robot is consisted of a NXT Mindstorms controller, two DC servo motors, a ultrasonic sensor, a gyro sensor, and a light sensor. It is a unstable nonlinear system and has a control problem of body pitch angle. So controller of segway robot is designed using state feedback LQR control. It is confirmed through design and experiment of controller that the model based design method, that is not depend on target processor, has merits compared with the text based design in aspects such as a program development, an error detection/modify, and an insight of software structure.

The train control system used in Gyeongbu-line is classified in ATC, IXL and CTC. Domestic railway signaling systems are being developed by electrification. In these systems the electrification of interlocking reaches 57% and the safety equipments of railway crossings in trackside devices have completed their development into an integrated system. Block systems of all the existing sections have not yet electrified and integrated so that they need a number of complement in terms of construction and maintenance. For ABS currently used in existing domestic lines, and LEU being installed in Gyeongbu and Honam lines, although a train is controlled by the signaling information of the same train in the same location, the system is separately installed so that the same information is separately divided and transmitted at the each distinct system. Therefore, in the conventional ABS and LEU, there are a lot of duplicate installed compartments such as lamp detection and a power supply unit. Hence, we have a lot of problems: for maintenance, a lot of manpower and costs need to be invested and the overall manufacturing costs get higher, as well as the construction costs by duplicate. Therefore, this paper suggest design to develop an integrated electronic Block Control Unit by the integration of the currently used ABS, and communication and electronic technology. We are to monitor and manage the block systems in the corresponding station by integrating. And we are to transmit information together with LEU, which is an ATS wayside transmitter.

In comparison with some other light sources, LED has merits such as long lifetime, pollution free, and high energy efficiency. Lately, due to development of LED with high brightness and capacity, LED, which has been applied in display system only, has applied in the field of lighting system. As power LED for lighting system can be burned out by heat problem, the driving current of power LED has to be controlled below the designed value. In this paper, power LED photovoltaic lighting system, which has the current limitting function, has been described. After photovoltaic power is generated from PV panel. it is charged into a battery. And then, after the charged power is converted to DC24[V] through a boost DC-DC converter, it is supplied to power LED at night. It has been validated by designing and testing of 72[W] power LED lighting system, which includes a PV charger, a boost DC-DC converter and a current limiter for driving power LED.

Example-based chatBot generates a response to user`s utterance by searching the most similar utterance in a collection of dialogue examples. Though finding an appropriate example is very important as it is closely related to a response quality, few studies have reported regarding what features should be considered and how to use the features for similar utterance searching. In this paper, we propose a machine learning framework which uses various linguistic features. Experimental results show that simultaneously using both semantic features and lexical features significantly improves the performance, compared to conventional approaches, in terms of 1) the utilization of example database, 2) precision of example matching, and 3) the quality of responses.

This paper propose a genetic method based on probability map to detect region of the lips on a natural image with the faces. The method has many solutions in order to detect regions such as the lips instead of one optimal solution of existing methods. To do this, it represents a pair of spatial coordinates as a chromosome, and introduces genetic operations like conservation interval, the number of generations and non-overlapping selection. By using the probability map of the HS in HSV color space, it increases adaptability to similar color that is a property of genetic algorithm. In our experiments, the optimal value of the important parameter
was analyzed, which was used as the condition of an ending function and affected performance of the proposed algorithm. Also the algorithm was analyzed on what performance it has when its mating methods are different. The results of the experiment showed that our algorithm could be flexibly adapted for detecting other ROIs.

With the rapid growth of video data service, demand to provide advertisements or additional information with regard to a particular video scene is increasing. However, the direct use of automated visual analysis or speech recognition on videos virtually has limitations with current level of technology; the metadata of video such as title, category information, or summary does not reflect the content of continuously changing scenes. This work presents a new video contextual advertising system that serves relevant advertisements on a given scene by leveraging the scene`s situation information inferred from video scripts. Experimental results show that the use of situation information extracted from scripts leads to better performance and display of more relevant advertisements to the user.

The international standard signature algorithm DSA has been guaranteed its security based on discrete logarithm problem. Recently, the DSA was known to be vulnerable to some fault analysis attacks in which the secret key stored inside of the device can be extracted by occurring some faults when the device performs signature algorithm. After analyzing an existing fault attack presented by Bao et al., this paper proposed a new fault analysis attack by disturbing the random number. Furthermore, we presented a countermeasure to compute DSA signature that has its immunity in the two types of fault attacks. The security and efficiency of the proposed countermeasure were verified by computer simulations.

In DS-CDMA method, Mobile Stations own jointly one radio channel and are made to use a PN code (Pseudo-Noise Code) for the purpose of minimize interference. However, corelation value of PN code is one when time delay is zero but the corelation value is 1 / N when time delay is not 0. Therefore corelation characteristic does not fully attained. As a result, when the user increase, the performance degradation and system capacity problem will be able to occur by interference among users. In this paper, the PN code has ideally self corelation. It was proved that PN code could depress interference from other users in multiple access system.

LBS is service technique to provide several service which are required to user by user`s location information for mobile. This paper presents Auto_Test system of testing the mobility performance of mobile clients in wireless mobile networks. In spite of importance of mobility management, currently the study of mobility management is not enough, therefore we have developed modulated Auto_Test management system for resolve the mobility management. The proposed system is composed of distance-based monitoring, location-based monitoring, scenario management, mobility management and statistic management, it makes the control by individual module. Simulation results show that the proposed system outperforms the existing systems.

In this study, a comparative study was performed between one- and two-stage refrigeration system to cool the natural gas temperature down to
using propane as a chilling medium. As a thermodynamic model, Peng-Robinson equation of state equation was applied and PRO/II with PROVISION release 8.3 at Invensys company was utilized for the simulation of the refrigeration system. Through this study, optimization work showed that two-stage refrigeration system was proven to save about 33.5% refrigeration power consumption compared to the one-stage refrigeration cycle.

The pH control agent in PWRs, to insure the integrity of steam generator, was changed from ammonia to ethanolamine(ETA) which decreased pH at condensate system and low pressure feedwater heater drain system, so that several amines were investigated for the selection of the optimum amine. There was no single alternative amine to meet the optimum condition. The more volatile ammonia provides the higher pH in condensate, while the less volatile ETA increases the pH in wet steam area. Thus, the combined amine of ammonia and ETA is able to equally raise the pH in both region so that the flow accelerated corrosion be reduced in the every system of the secondary side and the integrity of steam generator be also improved in pressurized water reactors (PWRs).
