A Modal Testing of Large Naval Vessel Using Main Gun Firing Test

The accurate results of finite element analysis are directly related to reliability FE model which is exactly describing dynamic characteristics of target structure. So, a model updating is necessary to establish reliable FE(Finite Element) model with a lot of experience and effort using modal testing. A large structure is too difficult to obtain the dynamic characteristics owing to its weight and size. In this work, using main gun firing test, modal testing was performed to obtain dynamic characteristics of large naval vessel, which is difficult to tap the general modal testing method. The result of experiment was considered its possibility and future plans.
Development of Bending Machine with High Efficiency and Precision Forming

Soft copper tube is one of the popular materials which are used for shipbuilding, automobiles, and freezing and HVAC equipment. However, these materials have problems that they cause occasionally outside wrinkle, spring back, wall thinning phenomena. In this study, to avoid these phenomena, was manufactured a mild materials devoted bending machine, which selected a bending method where the mandrel presses the pipe along with the sliding guide rail during bending process. During the course of confirming this performance, it was found that as the diameter of copper tube used for materials became smaller, the spring back phenomenon increased. And as the bending angle became larger, it became larger. In addition, we could manufacture mold products which scarcely generated wrinkle when bending copper tubes.

Up to now the incomplete texture have been manufactured through the 2D surface treatment like simple painting process or printing process. But in order to obtain 3D texture like natural object, micro scales` 3D surface structure on the surface of plastic part must be formed. In this study plastic smart phone case with 3D texture was produced by developing the surface duplication technology of natural object used electro-forming technology, by developing the press forming technology converted plane stamper to curved surface stamper and by developing the injection mold and molding technology which have been installed the curved surface stamper.

A vehicle fuel economy is very important issue in view of fuel cost and environmental regulation. The technology development for the fuel economy improvement improved the engine, power train and many components of vehicle. So, the fuel economy is much improved, but up to now the measurement of it tests the given mode(LA-4, FTP-75, etc) within computer simulation program and engine dynamo. In this paper, to deduct the method of its improvement of real road, the test vehicle ran 213Km Youngdong real highway using 3 different algorithms in computer simulation. For this, I extracted the distance and altitude data from received GPS data and calculated the grade angle, road load and accomplished the velocity profiles according to algorithms in all 213Km distance. The vehicle runs in computer with AVL Cruise simulation program using velocity profile. I calculate the fuel economy using AVL Cruise simulation result and propose the Eco-driving method of them.
Improvement of Compression Ignition for Gasoline Fuel Injected in the Diesel Engine

In this study, it made to run conventional single direct injection(DI) diesel engine, which adapted bulk combustion system not following spark ignition system without any ignition apparatus. It was heated and controlled inlet-air into conventional single DI diesel engine. The maximum value of brake thermal efficiency was at 35 region of air-fuel ratio. On the contrary, when the region of air-fuel ratio leaner than 35, brake thermal efficiency was decreased suddenly. And brake thermal efficiency was increased as much as inlet-air heating temperature increased. So, when air-fuel ratio was decreased and inlet-air heating temperature was higher, the engine was in optimal operation condition.
Structural Safety Analysis on Car Body at Overturn

In this study, the changes of displacement and stress are investigated by structural analysis according to the thickness of car body in case of overturn. In case of 5 mm thickness, the maximum displacement of 7.5024 mm at its right ceiling and the maximum equivalent stress of 113.69 MPa at the left lower part are occurred on the elapsed time of 2 second. In case of 10 mm thickness, the maximum displacement of 1.2557 mm at its right ceiling and the maximum equivalent stress of 15.134 MPa at the left lower part are occurred on the elapsed time of 2 second. In case of 15 mm thickness, the maximum displacement of 0.426067 mm at its right ceiling and the maximum equivalent stress of 4.4842 MPa at the left lower part are occurred on the elapsed time of 2 second. As stress and displacement are uniformly distributed according to time in this case, the design of car body can be stabilized.

Recently, the resource investigation has got much attention. The optimization of the resource investigation method and its automation are one of the most important keys for it. We propose the resource investigation emulating robot to overcome the conventional method; a numerical modeling. A nobel cable car robot system is developed. It minimizes the magnetic noise and comes true the gradient emulating of the field. This advanced system enables the optimization and automation of the resource investigation.

This paper discuss about structure modification method of the reciprocating compressor to reduce its vibration and noise in small refrigeration system. The structure modification is applied using analytic FE models and then applying suggested Component Mode Synthesis(CMS) algorithms. The efficient CMS algorithms to a compressor`s fixed base design problem are analytically tried and verified from some experiments.
A Study on the Battery Case Injection Molding by CAE Analysis

Battery cases have been made of polypropylene and its warpage is relatively large due to the crystalline characteristic of polypropylene. In this study, the battery case when the injection mold used to improve the Gate by simplifying the process of production cost savings and focus on improving the quality of molding CAE analysis was carried out. The result could be produced in plastic and products of the imbalance in the flow and deformation and to predict reliability of the product will contribute to reduced scrap.
Development of Roughness Estimation Model for Plunge Grinding of Valve Parts Using Neural Network

Grinding process is executed in the final machining stage to meet the quality requirements. In generally the ground surface of workpiece is affected by dressing condition as well as grinding condition. In order to estimate the roughness of workpiece, the several roughness models have been researched. These models defined the specific parameters and considered the several parameters which affect to roughness as multiply relationship among them. However, the multiply relationship among parameters is not enough to show the complicated grinding mechanism. Therefore, the neural network algorithm is used in this paper to predict the ground roughness for the plunge grinding. The proposed structure is composed of the initial roughness as well as final roughness model. The input parameters of proposed neural network are referred with the existing roughness model`s. The performance of the proposed model is verified through experiments.

In this study, a group of home bus system(HBS) is used to manage difference types of household appliances or many household appliance of the same type. The existing central controller is analyzed, and an independent control system is built to devise new methods to design the PC HBS. The newly designed system is installed in an air-conditioned building; the system can be monitored and controlled from a control room or from an office. By using the system, we can efficiently manage future energy needs and control large-scale integrated electronics and home automation system to an individual manage to build large is expected to contribute.

The Characteristics of Women`s Hair Style in the late Joseon Dynasty

The purposes of this study are clarifying the characteristics of women`s hair style in the late Joseon Dynasty by inquiring into that hair style and, by extension, having a new understanding of the aesthetic consciousness of women in those times. The typical hair style of married Joseon women was Ungeonmeori and Jjokmeori, with Ungeonmeori being much more popular. Regardless of socioeconomic status, women used a big Gache as long as conditions permitted. Meanwhile, some women who led the trend or followed the national policy did Jjokmeori and wore Jokdoori. The Joseon Dynasty had a strict clothing system. However, giseangs were free from this restriction and they were free at attire. Therefore, they led the fashion trend. Both noble and common women followed the trend, imitating giseangs` attire. Women`s hair style was used as a tool to express one`s personality in the late Joseon Dynasty when the hierarchy was already weakened. In fact, it seems that women in those times cared more about hair style trend than clothing trend. This means that those women already had such a high quality of aesthetic consciousness that they showed their hair which is the closest to the face to advantage.
A study on self-regulated learning and UDL study model Implementation for e-mentoring system

Adult-learners of online education have been distant from studying for a long time and are rather familiar with the old massive education. As a result, despite the excellent ability in self-control learning that results in great academic performances and academic continuity, the learners give up on learning, feeling depressed for not being able to perform their advantage, the self-control learning ability. The study developed a self-control learning model and UDL design learning model in order to establish e-mentoring system. For the analysis on results of the experiment, the researcher extracted academic grade, the rate of re-register, and the amount of total studying time after dividing new students and transfer students of H cyber university into the control group and the experimental group. In conclusion, the results showed that more satisfied the control group is, the higher academic achievements and the higher academic continuity are accomplished.
The Design and Implementation of Single Sign-On Service for Education-related Information Service Platform

The study concluded that in order to achieve a single sign-on through the federation ID management method must be used among many other methods so to establish a combined approval service that gives access to education related information provided by the 16 city and provincial offices of education and the KERIS(Korea Education & Research Information Service). The federation ID management method allows the usage of authentication policy and enables transfer of ID information to other institutions through standardized processing. Therefore by establishing single sign-on through the federation ID management method allows individual city and provincial office of education to maintain the already existing approval services while combining user identification database.
The Impact of the Diversity Management on the Workforce Composition and Financial Performance

Even though Korea has long experienced single race/ethnic demographic composition, the recent rapid change of demographic diversity will have powerful impact on the HRM(human resource management) in the future. In this research we find the influence of the diversity friendly HRM to the human resource practices using the data of WPS(Workplace Panel Survey) of Korea Labor Institute. If the training for women is high, the density of the woman increased. The performance pay is introduced, then the density of the disabled person would be increased. The foreign workforce was also increased if the company used more selection methods. But the HRM practices such as talent management, yearly-based compensation systems, and appraisal program which has a tendency to reduce diversity have no significant influence to the financial performance. This findings imply that the management team should introduce the effective HRM systems to manage diverse human resources after considering the organizational culture and business environment. This research intends to find the diversity friendly HRM practices and hope to help the efforts of the management team to find effective management methods.
A Study on the relations between change of productivity and conversion factor of the Accredited Hospitals based on Malmquist index

This study aims to know whether the Accreditation of Hospitals can help to improve productivity of hospital and affect the conversion factor. Based on the Malmquist productivity Index, the productivity of accredited hospital improves. There exists an tendency that as the scores of Accreditation rises, productivity increases. Also the higher the productivity, the lower the conversion factors in the rigid statistical evidence. This evidence is independent of hospital classification, geographical distribution, grouping. This evidence supports the productivity index can be included in the fee negotiations. It also means that rather than static efficiency, the multi-year change of productivity information can be usefully combined to set a conversion factor in Korean National Insurance Contract especially in the discussion of the structural change of payment system.
Evacuation Simulation to Assess Human Safety of Social Welfare Facility

Growing attention of a society to protecting weak people leads an increase of various social welfare facilities. Therefore, safety of the occupants at emergency situations, such as fire, must be considered as an important factor during the design and operation of those facilities. In this paper an exploratory study is carried out on a method quantitatively assessing the human evacuation safety of social welfare facilities. A evacuation simulation method, being routinely used in the evacuation analysis of passenger ships deriving `Evacuability` as a quantity of safety, is applied to assess the human safety of a facility for single-moms. Based on the simulation results, the main factors that must be considered while carrying out the evacuation simulation for the human safety assessment of the facility are investigated.
Study on building governance system to develop and utilize human resources in Chungnam province

This study suggests a model for building governance system to develop and utilize human resources in Chungnam province. In particular, In the regional level of balanced development of human resources, the study tries to investigate alternatives to utilize regional human resources development by building and using a network between related organizations through their partnership and cooperative relations. This survey was conducted to 250 of personnel and experts who were in charge of human resources in diverse chungnam institutions through mail or e-mail from December in 2008 to February in 2009. As a result of the survey, the study shows that basic groundwork for the regional human resources development is poor in terms of forming the system and its plans, and the ties and cooperation between related organization, Therefore this study shows that in order to overcome the current situation and build the governance appropriate to Chungnam area, we need to consider different approaches for each regional organization stage by stage regarding the maturity in the governance.

The aim of this paper is analyzing the economic outcome of development aid project on closed mine and submitting the policy alternatives to seek for substitute industries which lead independent growth of that area. Despite the aid project deployed from 2001 to 2010, the economic result appears to be fragile. It is obvious that the contents and magnitude of aid projects has its own limitation to build independent economic structure in closed mine area. Conclusively, to overcome the regional restrictions, it is important to establish the aid project scheme to make a strategic and systematic resource distribution under the regional circumstances.
Predictors of Subjective Happiness for Nursing Students

The purposes of this study were to identify the significant predictors of subjective happiness for nursing students. The subjects consisted of 385 nursing students. Data were collected through self-report questionnaires, which were constructed to include positive emotion, gratitude disposition, flow, self-esteem, and subjective happiness. The data were analyzed by the PASW. 18.0 program. The significant predictors of subjective happiness for nursing students were gratitude disposition, self-esteem, flow, physical health status, positive emotion, and economic status, explaining 49.4% of the variance in subjective happiness. The most important predictors of subjective happiness for nursing students were gratitude disposition, self-esteem, and flow. The findings of this study suggest that the approach to effective happiness promotion program for nursing students should consider gratitude disposition, self-esteem, and flow.

Technological Progress and Job Creation

This paper deals with the job creation effect of economic growth by focusing on the types of technological progress. The hypothesis is that labor-saving technological change may create less job than capital-saving or factor-neutral ones. The hypothesis is proved theoretically using an equilibrium model of labor market. Empirically, first, a simulation experiment is performed to check the hypothesis empirically and confirms it. Secondly, we look at labor/capital ratio since it may be affected by the type of technological improvement. One important policy implication is that job creation effect of economic growth depends on the structure of labor supply as well as that of labor demand.
Corruption and Government Expenditure Volatility

Using cross-section of 83 countries, this paper empirically examines the relationship between corruption and government expenditure volatility. A country`s corruption is denoted by either control of corruption, compiled by Kaufmann et al. (2008), or corruption perceptions index, provided by Transparency International. In addition, a country`s government expenditure volatility is measured by the standard deviation of the change ratio of government expenditure from 1990 to 2005. Regression results suggest that a country`s control of corruption and corruption perceptions index (higher ratings signifying more transparency) are significantly and negatively associated with the volatility of government expenditure. However, the estimated coefficients of corruption perceptions index show somewhat reduced statistical significances. The results are robust to the sub-sample of countries excluding European OECD countries. Therefore, the regression results suggest corrupt bureaucrats are able to periodically change economic rules of the game, which results in the possibility of a higher variance in government expenditure.
The Diversity in an English Oral Proficiency Test

There are many causes for the variation of the result in oral proficiency test such as the examiner, the task, the theme of the interview, and the gender of the participants. Previous literature documents that the rater is an important variable influencing test scores of second language oral proficiency. Although much research in language testing has been conducted concerning rater effect on test scores, there has been little attention paid to the effect of potential rater variables in language testing on their rating process. There are noticeably different contents of the rating scales across different speaking tests developed in different context. Therefore, it would not be appropriate to apply the same rating criteria for various tasks. In conclusion, we need more subject protocol analyses and more thoughtful studies on rating processes. In other words, the oral proficiency test needs a more realistic and valid tool for the assessment of second language proficiency.
Relationship between parent attachment and parent motivation of university student

This research was to investigated correlation between the mother and father`s attachment and the parent motivation. The subjects were W university student 223 of Jeon-buk province. They took the parent-child relation courses. The questionnaire were IPPA[Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment) and Parent Motivation Scale. The data were analyzed by t-test, Pearson correlation using the SPSS Program. The results were as follows: First, the university students who perceived the mother`s attachment higher than the father`s. Second, Parent motivation of the university students who perceived higher medium and the sex difference were no significance. Third, parent attachment were positively correlated with parent motivation. The finding from above results were that pre-parent education program of university students considered with the content that promotion to the parent attachment.
A Study on On/Off Line Out-eating Behavior in Accordance Stress Label of the Culinary College Male Students

This study was about the relation of 129 differently stressed male college students`s on or off-line contact behavior to out-eating places. We researched the subjects`s obesity degree such as body fat percentage, body mass index, stress condition, and contact behavior to out-eating places. Subjects`s average age was 20, height 174.9cm. More stress they felt, heavier their body weight was and more obese. 37.1% of Strongly stressed group, 28.8% of medium and 25% of normal stressed group felt severe depression. As the result of pearson correlation, stress condition was positively related with body weight, obese degree, body mass index(BMI) and exercise time. Body weight was positively related with obeses degree, BMI, and the amount of smoking and drinks. Strongly stressed group used more internet to search the information about out-eating places, they had more experience to search the homepage of out-eating places than other groups significantly. Strongly stressed group cared more about the sanity of out-eating places where they ate. and they were interested in various experiences than other groups. Strongly stressed group felt the tasty was the most important satisfying factor significantly and visited the out-eating place that satisfied them again than other groups.

After the year of 2000, the Korean government has abolished the limit on foreign investments. Foreign investments in the domestic market have been thriving since. In domestic stock market, the proportion of market value held by foreign investors reaches over 40%. There are many followers in the markets, asking about what kinds of the firm that foreign investors prefer. Prior researches show that foreign investors in the American and European markets prefer stocks of the firm which are well known and are geographically closer. In this paper, we attempt to define the financial characteristics of the firms in which foreigners invest in the Korean market. The result shows that foreign investors in the domestic market tend to prefer firms with high market value of capital and dividend yield. It also shows that foreign investors in the Korean market choose firms with high book value to market value over others, while the firms with high debt ratio and the portion of the largest stock holders are shunned. This research suggests that foreign portfolio investments in the Korean market have contributed to liquidity of stock market and changed the governance structure of domestic firms in a positive way.

The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship among dialect, anxiety and career barrier for flight attendant applicants at interview. A Survey was conducted on female applicants who had attended interview at least once. As a result, dialect speakers were more anxious than non-dialect speakers. And a dialect affects the anxiety, the anxiety also affects the career barrier. The findings of this study offer several managerial implications for directors in teaching positions. The results of the evaluation can be used as a background for promoting effective interview method.

With recent increase in growth without employment and unemployment rate, Business Incubator (BI), which is the birthplace of business start-up, is drawing much attention. Therefore, numerous studies had been carried out from the perspectives of efficient operation and performances of BI. Preceding studies at home and abroad were concentrated mainly on the effect of Critical Success Factors of BI on performance, or on internal operational programs or support services of BI. Recently, assertion that potential capacity of companies located in BI at the time of their commencement of occupancy imparts effect on the performance has been presented. Therefore, this Study, in order to pursue research on above issues, will, firstly, analyze the effect of the characteristics of evaluation of companies wishing to be located in BI conducted by each BI, and, secondly, regulation effect of characteristics of evaluation of companies wishing to be located in BI imparted on performance in connection with the work capabilities of BI and capabilities of manager. The results of analysis illustrated that the expertise, among the capabilities of CEO, imparts affirmative effect on the success rate of business start-up. Product competitiveness and marketability displayed affirmative effect on the success rate of business start-up when work capability (operational intensity) is applied. In particular, although the financing capability of CEO of the company located in BI, as an important factor, imparts negative effect on the success rate of business start-up, it implies affirmative regulation effect through the capabilities of manager.

As the demands of island tourism increasing, the importance of information is considered the key success factor of island tourism. This study suggest the several factors that affecting in island tourism based on the previous studies of tourism research domain. the Important Performance Analysis(IPA) that has much popularity in tourism research is used to evaluate the information characteristic and priority of island tourism in university students of Korea. Based on the result of this study, the information of the natural landscape/scenery and the sightseeing related activity have less priority than the facilities and local foodstuff of the specific island. Considering the aspects and levels of currently serviced island tourism information, differentiated information that including the facilities and local foodstuff of island have reasonable priority for establishing effective and efficient island tourism strategy.
A Study on the Policy of Cryptographic Module Verification Program

The advancement of information and communication technology has caused a few dysfunction such as hacking. To keep an organization from a harmful hacking, demands for cryptographic modules have been increased. However, the evaluation criteria of cryptographic modules in Korea have been less firmly established. It is difficult for the consumers of cryptographic module to choose an appropriate cryptographic module, and to establish interoperability between applications and cryptographic modules. This study analyzes evaluation criteria, evaluation processes and evaluation policy of CMVP(Cryptographic Module Verification Program) in the advanced countries. The paper suggests a policy for Korea CMVP, in resulting a provision of foundations for international standard and cooperations for international cryptographic policies and systems.

The Effect of Motive for Participation on the Satisfaction with Training for Caregivers

With the purpose of improving the quality of training for caregivers, this study examines how caregivers` motivation to participate in training affects their level of satisfaction with their training. This study surveyed 281 trainees at a caregiver training agency in City B on their motivation to participate in, and satisfaction with, training. Descriptive statistics, factor analysis, and regression analysis were used. Activity-oriented training was chosen as the top motivator with the highest satisfaction level with regard to the trainers. Motivation particularly influenced activity-oriented and learning-oriented training. In contrast, goal-oriented activities did not affect the trainees` satisfaction with their training. The conclusion is that the level of caregivers` motivation to participate in training has the greatest effect on their satisfaction with their training.

The protease, lipase and amylase activities of the prepared pancreatin were 5.4, 58.0 and 16.0 times higher than those of USP standard, respectively.

The Related Factors of Safety Behaviors and Accident in Elementary School Children

This study was conducted to investigate the elementary school students` consciousness of safety, activities to prevent their accidents and factors causing such accidents. For this aim, a research was conducted from Nov. 19 through Dec. 22, 2007 by means of questionnaires distributed to 800 students enrolled in the 5th and 6th grades of 4 elementary schools in a urban-rural combined city. Out of the questionnaires distributed, 785 were collected and put to analysis by using SPSS 13.0 program to determine t-test, ANOVA, logistic regression, etc. 1. The maximum scores of safety consciousness revealing relatively high level of safety consciousness. There was, however, statistically significant difference by grade, type of residence, school life and academic achievements. In detail, 5th graders featured higher level of safety consciousness and those who live in apartments, lead a pleasant life at school and get better academic scores tended to keep higher level of safety consciousness. 2. The subjects of the high scored of activities to prevent accidents, with a statistically significant difference by gender, grade and individual personality. Females, 5th graders and active students were found to be more conscious of preventive activities for accidents. 3. In general, 6th graders and active students turned out to have experienced more accidents. 4. The main factors exerting influence on occurrence of accidents on the part of elementary school students are known to be preventive actions and consciousness of traffic safety in the category of safety consciousness. The significant variable in preventive actions was preventive actions of traffic accidents, burns and intoxication by category of accidents, but individual personality by category of general characters. Sixth graders and male students experienced more accidents, without significantly significant difference, though. As a result, From the above findings, prevention of safety accidents is found to be very important for elementary school students. It is therefore suggested that schools as well as homes should continue to conduct practical education to prevent accidents with priority placed on familiarizing students with preventive activities in daily life in consideration of their personal characters.
Presence and characteristics of dysphagia in stroke patients without awareness of dysphagia

This study was performed to examine the presence of dysphagia and analyze characteristics of the symptoms in cerebrovascular accident(CVA) patients without awareness of dysphagia. A questionnaire for this study was given to CVA patients who had visited P rehabilitation medical center in Busan. Eleven patients (4 males and 7 females) who answered no awareness of dysphasia were given to VFSS, functional dysphasia scale, and NCSE. Descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation analysis were performed by SPSS 12.0. All of subjects without awareness of dysphasia showed characteristics of dysphasia symptoms. Prominent dysfunctions were problems in oral phase and delay of swallowing reflex in pharyngeal phase. For the aspect of cognition, they showed lower score in construction, memory, and similarity than other NCSE items. There was highly significant correlation between orientation, judgment and delay of swallowing reflex. Verbal comprehension and residual materials in oral cavity showed closed correlation. CVA patients without awareness had dysphagia with high probability. The early evaluation of dysphagia should be performed in CVA patients in order to prevent complications due to CVA, so it is necessary to increase the effectiveness of rehabilitation therapy.
Job Stress and Psychosocial Factors and Its Association with Self Perceived Fatigue among White Collar Male Workers

This study was performed to determine the self-perceived fatigue and its association with job stress contents and psychosocial factors among white collar male workers. The self-administered questionnaires were given to 872 workers employed in 42 work places during the period from February 1st to April 30th, 2009. As a results, in terms of levels of self-perceived fatigue according to the job stress contents and psychosocial factors, under significantly higher level of self-perceived fatigue were those with higher level of job demand, lower job autonomy, lower supervisor support and higher locus of control than their respective counterparts. Multiple stepwise analysis revealed that the factors of influence on self-perceived fatigue included age, subjective status of health, job career, experience of sick absence, sense of satisfaction in work, regular exercise, sleeping hours, visiting out-patient department, job demand, supervisor support and self-esteem. The study results indicated that the level of self-perceived fatigue is so complicatedly influenced by variable factors as well as socio-demographic characteristics, job-related characteristics and health-related behaviors, to a greater extent, by JCQ and psychosocial factors.
Specific Interaction of Rat Vanilloid Receptor, TRPV1 with Rab11-FIP3

Vanilloid receptor TRPV1 (known as capsaicin channel, transient receptor potential vanilloid 1) is known to be a key protein in the pain signal transduction. However, the proteins controlling the activity of the channel are not much known yet. Recently mouse Rab11-FIP3 (Rab11-family interaction protein 3) was found and reported to interact with rat TRPV1. Rab11 has been shown to play a key role in a variety of cellular processes including plasma membrane recycling, phagocytosis, and transport of secretory proteins from the trans-Golgi network. Therefore, Rab11-FIP3 was proposed to be involved in the membrane trafficking of TRPV1. In this study, the unreported rat Rab11-FIP3 was yet cloned in order to show the specific interaction of the TRPV1 and Rab11-FIP3 in the same species of rat and to examine the membrane trafficking of TRPV1. The result showed that rat Rab11-FIP3 is expected to have 489 amino acids and showed 80% identity with that of human and over 90% identity with that of mouse. Rab11-FIP3 was found to be expressed in heart, brain, kidney, testis using northern and western blot analyses. We also found that rat Rab11-FIP3 was colocalized with rat TRPV1 but not with TRPV2 of same family in the rat brain by using immunohistochemistry showing that two proteins interact specifically, suggesting the role of Rab11-FIP3 in the membrane trafficking.
Reliability of Standardized Patients as Raters in Objective Structured Clinical Examination

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether standardized patient(SP) can be used as a reliable examiner in Objective Structured Clinical Examination(OSCE). 4 SPs and 4 faculties who have more than 2 years experience of OSCE scoring were selected. For 1 assignment 2 members of faculty and 2 SPs were designated as raters. SPs were educated for assessing 2 technical skills, male Foley catheter insertion and wound dressing, for 8 hours (4 hours / day, each topic). The definition, method, cautions and complications for each of procedural skills were covered in the education. Theoretical lectures, video learning, faculty demonstration and practical training on mannequins were employed. The 8 raters were standardized for an hour with simulated OSCE scoring using previous videos on the day before the OSCE. Each assessment was composed of 14 checklists and 1 global rate. The allotted time for each assignment was 5minutes and for evaluation time 2 minutes per student. The evaluation from the faculty and SPs were compared and analyzed with the GENOVA program. The overall generalizability coefficient (G coefficient) was 0.839 from two cases of OASTS. The reliability of the raters was high, 0.946. The inter-rater agreement between faculty group and SP group was 0.949 for checklist and 0.908 for global rating. Therefore SPs can play a role of raters in OSCE for procedural skills, if they are given the appropriate training.
Comparison of Career Identity and Professionalism among Dental Hygiene Students according to Educational System

The purpose of this study was to compare the career identity and professionalism of dental hygiene students according to an educational system(three-year course and four-year course). In this study, we conducted survey of 579 dental hygiene students in Chungcheong Province. The collected data were analyzed with a SPSS WIN 12.0 program. The findings of the study were as follows: 1. In regard to career identity by educational system and academic year, the freshmen(2.73) had the best career identity in the three-year course and the juniors(2.67) excelled the others in the four-year course. In terms of professionalism, the freshmen(3.34) were most excellent in the three-year course, and the seniors(3.29) were the best in the four-year course. 2. As to career identity by motivation of choosing the major, the students who have chosen the major in hopes of being well paid had the best career identity both in the three-year course(2.78) and four-year course(2.75). In terms of professionalism, they who have chosen the major in consideration of their own attitude and for the purpose of getting a lifelong occupation(3.44) were the best in the three-year course, and the students who wanted to get a lifelong job(3.29) were most excellent in the four-year course(p<.01). 3. The educational system had a significant correlation to career identity and professionalism.

This study evaluated anti-wrinkle effect for eye using essence and cream containing extract of Liriope platy phyllla, Inonotus obliquus, Glycyrrhiza glabra, black ginseng, Atractylodes japonica, Poria cocos Wolf, Angelica gigas, Rehmanniae Radix Preparata and Cnidii Rhizoma, Paeonia lactiflora. 6 female adults on average at the age of 44.8, applied cream after essence under the normal conditions of use on the crow`s feet area, twice a day (in the morning and evening), 2mg/

The Factors of Related towards Intention to Organ Donation by the Citizens of Busan

This study aims at providing basic data on organ donation by analyzing factors of influencing toward intention to organ donation and further at improving people`s consciousness on organ donation, subject to citizens of Busan City. The data was collected for 47 days from 14 July to 31 August, 2009. Among a total of 2200 cases of the questionaries, only 2042 cases were used. For data analysis, SPSS 17.0 was used, and for the specific analysis method frequency analysis to understand general characteristics of the participants. In addition, examination on T-test and ANOVA analysis were conducted after analyzing the factors for participants` consciousness on organ donation, and logistic regression analysis for understanding of relations between participants` will to donate organs and general characteristics. The results of this study are summarized as follows; First, among the participants, those who have heard about organ donations were 71.6%. Second, the factors that general characteristics influence on the attitudes towards organ donation include gender, chronic diseases or incurable diseases in the respondents or their family, religion, acceptive attitude factor, exclusive attitude factor and positive attitude factor towards organ donation. Based on the results, in order to raise people`s consciousness on organ donation and form social sympathy, more than anything else, public mass media like broadcasting is important. In addition, as organ donation centers and related institutions prepare nationwide events, we should endeavor to prepare the opportunities in various ways to converse people`s consciousness on organ donation and further put organ donation into practice.
Pet Location Tracking and Remote Monitoring System using a Wireless Sensor Network

In this paper, we design a pet location tracking and remote monitoring system that uses ultrasonic, temperature, humidity and illumination sensors to study behavioral patterns and habits. Using ultrasonic waves to calculate distances, a WSN(Wireless Sensor Network) was constructed to transmit data at pet`s location, such as temperature, humidity and illumination, to a sink mote. Data received by the system are stored in the database in real time to trace pet`s location. Interference among transmitting motes was eliminated by sequentially transmitting RF beacons using sink mote`s beacon as the reference signal. Experiments were performed with the laboratory prototype of a pet animal monitoring system implemented for this study. The system analyzes locations of a pet and displays movement patterns, areas of movement, temperature, humidity and illumination using a GUI (graphical user interface).
Simple LCD CCFL-backlight Resonant Inverter

This paper presents a simple LCD CCFL-backlight resonant inverter. First, in introduction various conventional inverter topologies for the CCFL are reviewed, briefly, and then, in each main subject the proposed inverter is explained, in detail. The proposed inverter utilizes a new class-E resonant circuit with a single-switch and is controlled by a single-chip microcontroller, which is very simple. Moreover, the proposed inverter can ensure resonant zero voltage switching (ZVS) under most operating conditions and performs simply the digital dimming control. It is shown through experimental results that the proposed inverter has good performance for the LCD CCFL-backlight.
A Study on the Hardware Complexity Reduction of Hilbert transformer by MAG algorithm

The Hilbert transform performs a role to transform band pass signals into low pass signals in wireless communication systems. The operation of Hilbert transform is based on a convolution process which is required adding and multiplying calculations. When the Hilbert transform is designed and hardware-implemented at gate level, the adding and multiplying operation requires a high power consumption and a occupation of wide area on a chip. So the results of adding and multiplying operation cause to degrade the performance of implemented system. In this paper, the new Hilbert transformer is proposed, which has a low hardware complexity by application of MAG(Minimum Adder Graph) algorithm. The proposed Hilbert transformer was simulated in ISE environment of Xilinx and showed the reduction of hardware complexity comparing with the number of gate in the conventional Hilbert transformer.

In this paper, a software development for design of the small photovoltaic system which is used to LED lighting is presented. For optimal design of photovoltaic systems, the operating power consumption of the LED load is considered to estimate the capacity of the solar module and battery. In order to give system design engineers a high ease of use, the software tool provides a graphical user interface and monitoring function to check operation of the system prior to installation.
Developing of VOC sensor Signal Processing System using Embedded System on the Web Environment

Recent advances in digital technology and diversified internet services have resulted in a rapid growth of research on monitering systems using embedded web servers in USN systems. In designing USN systems equipped with wireless sensor modules requiring extra power for heating sensors for their appropriate operations, excessive power consumption introduces inefficiency to the entire system. In this paper, using embedded systems in web environment, we develop a remote-monitoring system with VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) sensor signal, and propose a real time method of processing sensor-data streams by way of the serial bus from the sensor module in the USN system. The proposed system has an advantage of monitering the harmful gases on real-time basis and can be used semi-permanently by providing the sensor module with power through the serial bus. The harmful gas to be detected by the VOC sensor module is Toluene and the sensor module is composed of TGS-2602 VOC(Volatile Organic Compounds) sensors of FIGARO. The detected signal is transferred to the embedded web server using the RS-485 serial communication device. The proposed remote VOC monitering system is designed to coordinate in such a way that the VOC sensor module and embedded web server (EMPOS-II) work together effectively for real time monitering of harmful gases on the web at any places where the internet is connected.

This article presents an ultra broadband resistive power divider circuit for smart grid applications. Since the future smart grid system is expected to deploy high speed power line communication, the frequency response of the resitive power divider circuit is naturally of significance. Employing a thin film technology, the resistive power divider was designed, measured, and fabricated. For the circuit design, the conductor-backed coplanar waveguide line was firstly designed and measured. The 3 dB cutoff frequency was 72 GHz and S11 remains <-20 dB upto 70 GHz. The fabricated resistive power divider shows the 3 dB cutoff frequency of 50 GHz. It was experimentally verified that the resistive power divider circuit shows the insertion loss of 6 dB for high-speed input signal (40 Gb/s).

A Study on Road Network Modeling over POI for Pedestrian Navigation Services in Smart Phones

Recently, the wide spread popularity of smart phones causes the advent of various mobile applications base on the location information. Since previous pedestrian navigations are applied by extending car navigations, these are not only difficult to provide the appropriate route information, but also raise limitations in the efficient query processing by data structures of car road networks. In addition, these increase the power consumption caused by the growth of I/O frequency. In this paper, we propose a pedestrian road network model for the accurate route information and a storage structure for the pedestrian road network based on POI to reduce the I/O frequency. The proposed method enables efficient route searches over POI reflecting the characteristics and requirements of pedestrian roads. Also, a reduction of query processing costs for the route searching by a data structure considered with POI can save the power consumption more than previous approaches.
An Integrated Framework for Authoring Augmented-Reality Contents

This paper analyzes the requirements of an ideal augmented-reality contents authoring tool that can allow non-programmers as content creators to author contents easily and quickly. To satisfy the requirements, we employ the approach using formal and visual specification techniques. In this paper, we also introduce an integrated augmented-reality framework for the ideal authoring tool, and demonstrate the effectiveness of our research results by illustrating an example content.

Diagnosis X-ray equipment localized at 1950`s but it is developed suddenly at 1960`s with demand together. Manufacture of Diagnostic X-ray equipment is controled by the KS regulation and the Ministry of Health and Welfare because of hazardous element etc. exposure by radiation. Most of diagnostic X-ray equipment ware single phase and three phase full-wave rectification but from 1980`s it transforms it was exchanged in inverter type X-ray equipment. Inverter type X-ray equipment produces approximately 50~80% more average photon intensity then single phase full-wave rectification and the accuracy is high. But from a clinic it dose not use because expensive therefor the efficiency improvement of single phase full-wave rectification is necessary. We produced single phase full-wave rectification X-ray equipment control unit, high tension transformer, filament heating transformer, rectification circuit, high tension cable and others and evaluated efficiency, in result which is excellent compare with Rule of Safety Management and KS regulation.
Design and Implementation of A Conceptual Class Diagram Elicitation System

In this paper, we introduce a system which helps to draw a conceptual class diagram from the problem description by combining various class diagram deriving methods. Generally, problem description is a kind of statements including user requirements in the early development phase. The system developer can derive a conceptual class diagram from this document, which playes an important role during the object-oriented software development. Until now, it is not easy for the novice to elicit classes because it requires good experience and intuition. In addition, there are also some difficulties of finding valid conceptual classes by hand when the size of system becomes larger. Therefore, we develop a system to solve these problems so that the developer is able to construct the conceptual class diagram easily.
A Service Framework for Supporting XML-based National Research and Development Report Contents

The information management system for the national R&D reports on the level of each government department have been operated in order to have special affiliated organizations collect detailed information, construct databases for R&D reports, and operate their information system; thus, the current classification system for the R&D reports on the governmental level is insufficient. Also, each department requires to prepare a standardized electronic original text service system since mutually different electronic original text services have been provided. therefore, this paper sets up the following research goals and detailed research contents. The goals of this study are to establish methods to standardize the forms of national R&D reports and suggest the framework for XML-based national R&D reports services by analyzing the problems in the forms of previous national R&D reports services. As detailed research contents, first, Identify the current R&D electronic original reports services by each government department. Second, this paper analyzed primary overseas science technology information service systems related with national research and development reports and related database schemata. this paper proposed the XML-based national R&D reports service framework through analyzing the problems in the framework of the existing national R&D reports service system and also established and suggested the methods to provide database schema design and report portal services. Lastly, it is expected that this paper will have academic contribution to enhancing R&D investment efficiency by utilizing collaboratively the information and resources related with national R&D through establishing the general information management system for national-dimension R&D reports and also managing science technology information efficiently and developing a user-centered integrated information system.
A Study on Secure Group Key Management Based on Agent for Multicast Data Transmission

As practical use degree of multicasting increase, security for multicast is recognized as an important issue. Previous research in the area of secure multicast has mainly focused on group key management. The most important thing about the security of multicast is that only authorized members of this group will be able to access the data. The member of access to multicast communication is to use cryptography with a common shared session encryption key. We propose decentralized group key management based on agent for dynamic multicast with large groups and frequent joins or leaves in this paper. Whole group divide to several subgroup using agent technology and each agent manage members of each subgroup. Also, when rekeying updates that using one-way hash function can prevent the key exposure, and reduce the key distribution delay.
Implementation of a Testbed for Wireless Sensor Network

In this paper, we describe the implementation of an wireless sensor network testbed. We developed a web-based sensor network gateway and enhanced the Surge program which is used for sending and routing of packets in the sensor field. The developed program can transmit the source data of sensor nodes to the sink node via multi-hop routing, and deliver user commands to actuate sensor related equipments. Moreover, in this testbed, the data transport path from a node to the sink can be monitored. Thus we can approximate the network topology and the relative positions of sensor nodes. We also describe an application of the testbed that is used for controlling a remote robot.
Location Generalization of Moving Objects for the Extraction of Significant Patterns

In order to provide the optimal location based services such as the optimal moving path search or the scheduling pattern prediction, the extraction of significant moving pattern which is considered the temporal and spatial properties of the location-based historical data of the moving objects is essential. In this paper, for the extraction of significant moving pattern we propose the location generalization method which translates the location attributes of moving object into the spatial scope information based on
-tree for more efficient patterning the continuous changes of the location of moving objects and for indexing to the 2-dimensional spatial scope. The proposed method generates the moving sequences which is satisfied the constraints of the time interval between the spatial scopes using the generalized spatial data, and extracts the significant moving patterns using them. And it can be an efficient method for the temporal pattern mining or the analysis of moving transition of the moving objects to provide the optimal location based services.
An Alert Data Mining Framework for Intrusion Detection System

In this paper, we proposed a data mining framework for the management of alerts in order to improve the performance of the intrusion detection systems. The proposed alert data mining framework performs alert correlation analysis by using mining tasks such as axis-based association rule, axis-based frequent episodes and order-based clustering. It also provides the capability of classify false alarms in order to reduce false alarms. We also analyzed the characteristics of the proposed system through the implementation and evaluation of the proposed system. The proposed alert data mining framework performs not only the alert correlation analysis but also the false alarm classification. The alert data mining framework can find out the unknown patterns of the alerts. It also can be applied to predict attacks in progress and to understand logical steps and strategies behind series of attacks using sequences of clusters and to classify false alerts from intrusion detection system. The final rules that were generated by alert data mining framework can be used to the real time response of the intrusion detection system.

In this Study, the results of survey of evaluation cases on 10 GIS software were used as quality level index of GIS software in order to evaluate the quality of GIS (Geographic Information System) software. On the basis of such evaluation, analysis on the cost of improving the defectiveness accumulated of GIS software test cases was made. I am attempting to deduce the results that can be used assertively in promoting the justification for quality investment of enterprises or industrial units by quantitatively computing the cost essential in securing the quality by measuring the investment and effects on the quality through this.
Performance Comparison of Android Dalvik and Java Virtual Machines

In this paper we analyzed performance of Andriod`s Davik virtual machine(VM) using standard benchmark and compared the result with the embedded Java virtual machine. We used a well known benchmark suit named SPECJVM for the measurement. For the fair comparison, Sun Java embedded JVM is ported and the same benchmark is ported on it. The Odriod smartphone hardware platform is used as the target hardware. We have added a Just-In-Time compiler to Dalvik, which is not supported in the recent Android release, and measured performance improvement. The experiment result show that Dalvik achieved 15% and Dalvik with JIT shows 63% of the Sun`s JVM performance.
Constant-Amplitude Multi-Code Trans-Orthogonal Modulation

To improve the bandwidth efficiency of conventional orthogonal modulation, the MCTO(Multi-Code Trans-Orthogonal) modulation, which is modified orthogonal modulation, was proposed. However, the RF(Radio Frequency) power amplifier for the MCTO modulation is too complex to reject the amplitude distortion due to the non-constant amplitude property of the MCTO. Therefore, in this paper, CAMCTO(constant-amplitude multi-code trans-orthogonal) modulation is proposed by using the constant-amplitude encoding algorithm for multi-code signal. Additionally, the performance of the proposed CAMCTO modulation is compared with those of the orthogonal modulation and the MCTO modulation by using the computer simulation. The computer simulations show that the bandwidth efficiency of the proposed CAMCTO modulation is better than that of the conventional orthogonal modulation.
Applicability Study on Deep Mixing for Urban Construction

The deep mixing method, which is generally considered as a method for improving soft ground, is assessed in terms of its applicability for urban construction. Using small equipment tailored to perform deep mixing in congested urban areas, deep mixing was performed to reinforce the foundation ground of a retaining wall in a redevelopment site in Seoul. Strengths characteristics, construction vibrations and displacements induced to an adjacent old masonry wall were evaluated by laboratory tests and field monitoring. The results indicate that the strength of ground was improved appropriately whilst the vibrations and displacements induced by deep mixing were slight enough to satisfy the general requirements for construction works in urban environments. Therefore, it is concluded that deep mixing method can be a practical option for foundation methods in urban construction works where minimizing noise and vibrations is an important concern.
Building River Information System using Electromagnetic River Measurement Devices

Recently, various new devices have been introduced, which are capable of quickly measuring river hydrodynamic and morphologic features in the very broad riverine area. These devices are changing paradigm of understanding river characteristics in terms of data-driven aspect rather than the conventional numerical modeling approaches based on the limited field observations. This paper demonstrates the representative features and applications of the several recent riverine devices such as ADCP, LSPIV, MBES and ABL. In addition, the paper introduces an example of river information system that incorporates and relates such two- and three-dimensional hydrodynamic and morphologic data on top of geographic information system, where their spatio-temporal variations are also able to be tracked.

This study has done to extract the characteristics of contemporary urban design idea for waterfront industrial-logistics city through the comparative analysis on the 5 prize winning pieces which had submitted for "The Competition of Urban Concept for the Busan River City" by leading urban architectural designers who have futuristic and international vision. Following the analysis on design guideline with the 5 categorical subject (concept, land use, transportation, residencial area, open space), the characteristics and differences of each design are summarized. The result can be utilized for the waterfront planning and design including new town project.
Documentation of the History of Ok-Cheon Catholic Church by standardized 2D CAD and 3D Digital Modeling

Ok-Cheon catholic church has been changed 4 times since it`s first construction in 1955. Prior three changes were small ones of windows, doors, roof finish etc. but the last alteration was the extension of it`s plan from 一 shape to long cross shape and along with it the size, structure and form of it changed. This history of the church has not been recorded in drawing but only in text with indistinct features not documented. This study makes a new 2D CAD files using layers matched the changes and 3D digital models, these have not only present information but also change informations of the church. They are useful data for effective management, conservation restoration or possible reuse of it.
Research of Corrosion Control Technology for the Product Water of SWRO(Seawater Reverse Osmosis) by using liquid lime

In this study, we confirmed that the SWRO(Sea Water Reverse Osmosis) production water has more hard corrosiveness than the tap water by fundamental experiment. According to the result, the target of this study was aimed at developing maintenance and anti-corrosion method. In the early stages of the research, batch tests using mild steel coupons and electrochemical experiments were applied to compare the corrosiveness between SWRO production water and the tap water. After then, two corrosion control methods for SWRO production water were applied. Liquid lime(
) and Carbon Dioxide(
) were inserted and compared with the combination of liquid lime with phosphate corrosion inhibitor and carbon dioxide. The water qualities were evaluated through LSI(Langelier Saturation Index) and proper injection ratio was deduced by the result. Since then, simulated loop system test were performed to evaluate anti-corrosion effect depending on corrosion inhibitors. Subsequently, carbon steel pipes equipped at the loop system were detached for SEM, EDX and XRD analysis to acquire quantitative and qualitative data of the major corrosion products inside the pipes. In conclusion, the controled groups with anti-corrosion techniques applied were effective by appearing 97.4% and 90.9% of improvements in both case of liquid lime and the liquid lime with a phosphate corrosion Inhibitor. furthermore, major components of scale were iron oxides, on the other hand, protective effect of film formation by calcium carbonate(

Corrosion control technique for pipeline system through injecting water stabilizer

Recently, demands for generating high quality tap waters are increasing with high concern of water pollution and corrosion of water pipelines. For the reasons, developing water quality stabilization technique in water purification system is sought rather than replacing to a new pipelines. In this study, high-purity liquid lime(
) was introduced for a water quality stabilization technique in water purification process and simulated water distribution system of pilot-scale size was applied to evaluate anti-corrosion control effect. The effect of anti-corrosion control was calculated in terms of LSI(Langelier Saturation Index) In conclusion, the result of pilot plant showed improvement of corrosiveness by liquid lime(
) with reduction of released iron(Fe). Application of anti-corrosion control technique to the mild steel coupon and the copper coupon were effective by indicating 35.4, 44.5% of improvements. Besides, sample pipes which were treated with liquid lime had formated more thicker layer of corrosion product inside of pipes. As a result, the process of injecting water stabilizer can greatly contribute to the high quality of tap water.
A Simulation Study on the Cascade Refrigeration Cycle for the Liquefaction of Natural Gas

In this paper, simulation works for a cascade refrigeration cycle using propane, ethylene and methane as a refrigerant have been performed for the liquefaction of natural gas using Peng-Robinson equation of state built-in PRO/II with PROVISION release 8.3. The natural gas feed compositions were supplied from Korea Gas Corporation and the flow rate was assumed to be 5.0 million tons per annual. Supply temperature for propane refrigerant was fixed as

by Joule-Thomson expansion. Conclusively, 91.64% by mole of the natural gas liquefaction ratio was obtained through a cascade refrigeration cycle and Joule-Thomson expansion.
The Development of UV Blocking Type Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive Sheet for Window

The UV blocking type pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet was developed by mixing UV blocking reagent with adhesive material, instead of conventional method in which the reagent was mixed with PVC substrate. The blocking performance of the sheet was evaluated by measuring the absorbance in 280-400 nm region. Both organic and inorganic type blocking reagents were examined. The blocking ability of the former is better than that of the later. Only 1% addition of blocking reagents is effective to block UV light without affecting to visibility and tackiness of adhesive tapes.
