There is always die roll in fine blanking parts which is able to have 100% clean shear surface. In this paper the change of die roll size was studied by fine blanking tryout in order to minimize die roll size. Various die inserts with different die chamfer were machined, fine blanking die was manufactured and tested. The die roll sizes of fine blanking samples were measured and the tendency of thickness directional die roll size was comprehended. This result will be used on the design of die chamfer in order to minimize thickness directional die roll size of fine blanking parts
A Study on Developing the Manipulator Control System of Surgery Robot

This paper presents the efficient laparoscope robot manipulator which is automatically controlled by visual servo control. The manipulator was controlled for its end position to have corresponding velocity defined in the global coordinate space from the laparoscope's visual information. The instrumental tip positions were detected and desired spatial position was derived to move the clinical viewing plane, then visual servoing task was accomplished. Our manipulator has some advantages that it can automatically track the clinically important view by laparoscope's images without any other operator. Four degree of freedom manipulator equipped a laparoscope holder crossly linked with universal joint-type passive rings connection. Expanded working space and surgical efficiency are accomplished from slant linking structure between manipulator and laparoscope. Geometrical analysis of laparoscope motion in the abdominal space through trocar was inspected to have reliable positional accuracy and controllability. Entire laparoscope robot system was designed to be easily set up and controlled in operation room since it has a few subsidiary facilities.

Reliability estimation methods using attribute data are widely used in reliability evaluation of various systems such as nuclear energy plants, food and drug, and space launch vehicles. This paper shows sensitivity analysis and comparison results of reliability estimation methods including a parametric estimation method in open literature with respect to both sample size and sampling points of time. And ways to improve accuracy of each reliability estimation method were proposed from the sensitivity analysis results.

For the progressive notching and forming die, analyzing beforehand according to the interpretation of thin plate molding for massive production is essential. In this study, we dealt with Ez5 particularly its strip layout design based on the exported die as ordered by Japanese S automobile company`s local factory in the USA. We completed the strip layout design consisting of 13 processes by optimizing the blank layout with arrays of a single carrier with wide width drawn in 1 row. This type of die is expected to be ordered in bulk frequently and at the same time via the Internet; any company with die technology will be required to cope with such type of die.
Effect of Boundary Conditions on Reliability and Cumulative Distribution Characteristics of Fatigue Failure Life in Magnesium Alloy

In this paper, the effect of the boundary conditions on the reliability and the cumulative distribution characteristics of the fatigue failure life is analyzed in a magnesium alloy AZ31. The boundary conditions are specimen thickness, stress ratio, and maximum fatigue load. The statistical data of the fatigue failure life are obtained by fatigue crack propagation tests under the detail conditions for each boundary condition. The 3-parameter Weibull distribution is used to analyze a statistical characteristics of the fatigue failure life in magnesium alloy AZ31. It is found that the statistical fatigue failure life is long in the case of a thicker specimen, a larger stress ratio, and a smaller maximum fatigue load. Under the opposite cases, the reliability on the fatigue failure life is rapidly dropped.

Soft ground improvement is essential to enhance strength of ground for construction in reclaimed land or shore. There are many method of soft ground improvement, and vertical drain method was widely used in many countries including korea. As vertical drain method is to plant many Prefabricated Vertical Drains in soft ground, it promotes consolidation and enhances strength. The PBD(Plastci Board Drain) that is excellent economy and workability was widely used in many countries as Prefabricated Vertical Drains. Construction quality of PBD is affected installation depth, pressure, perpendicularity. This paper describes the system developed that can automatically measure installation depth, pressure and perpendicularity for PBD. This system can reduce fraction defective of construction by auto faulty alarm and keeps the safety of operator by auto control system.

In this paper, the structural analysis is carried out with the vertical loading condition on the platform of the high place working vehicle. The model of analysis is reduced on the scale of 1:10. Deformation and stress distribution of boom are analyzed with the variation of angle at boom position and the vulnerable parts are checked. Analysis result shows that most stress is concentrated at the connection of the boom. Through this analysis result, the safety on this vehicle can be improved by making up for the relatively weak connection parts as compared with other parts.
Improvement of Micro-hole EDM Efficiency using Vibration Flushing

Micro EDM(Electric Discharge Machining) is one of the most powerful technologies which are capable of fabricating micro-structure without any problems from high cutting force. However, there is a significant defect in the part machining with deep holes or pockets, because debris which are generated by electric discharging may frequently cause a short circuit between an electrode and workpiece material. Vibration flushing can reduce the undesirable phenomena with dynamic flow of EDM fluid in a deep and choked area. In this study, Vibration flushing with solenoid is suggested and the results show that the method can generate a remarkable EDM efficiency with high amplitude at a low frequency in comparison with current vibration flushing methods with high frequency using piezo actuators.

This paper classifies factors that form Chinese contemporary art price which comes into the spotlight in the current fine art market and consider the characteristics that form price with Chinese art only. The data were analyzed applying hedonic price setting models which include market value as a dependent variable with the various characteristics that art includes as the individual factors. The result has found that Chinese contemporary art has the more effects on factors of artists than sales factors. The social factor is worthy of notice in that Chinese GDP jointly raised with the price of Chinese contemporary art. At this point that interest in and demand of Chinese contemporary art are higher, it is thought that the result of this study will raise comprehension and convincing purchase direction will be suggested to collectors.
Making Cloze Tests More Valid

The purpose of this article is to investigate ways of making the cloze test more valid as an English proficiency test so that it can provide a better format for the cloze test especially to the non-native teachers in EFL environments. This investigation identifies ways of validity in terms of materials, deletion rates, item characteristics and scoring methods used in cloze tests. An increase in test validity can be accomplished by knowing how the four factors affect the cloze test results and how to manipulate them. Practical suggestions are provided for teachers to design a cloze test. Teachers can develop the reliability and validity of cloze tests by manipulating the four factors. In seeking a more valid and reliable cloze format, this research gives some suggestions based on a literature review. We can conclude that a cloze test can be valid only when teachers are aware of the factors which affect the test result and the ways to handle the factors to make the test appropriate for their test purposes.
A Comparative Study on Economic Effect of life insurance and indemnity insurance Industry

The interest in personal health is now growing around the world. Accordingly, the insurance industry which is closely related to personal health is becoming more important. Insurance industry can be divided into to main stream, life insurance and indemnity insurance. This study attempts to compare the economic impacts of the life insurance industry and indemnity insurance industry using an inter-industry analysis. The study investigates production-inducing effect, value added inducing effect, employ-inducing effect, sectoral price effect using Exogenous specification. The results show that indemnity insurance industry induces production-inducing effect of 2.7 won, value-added-inducing effects of 1.6 won, employ-inducing effect of 26.9 person, sectoral price effects is 2.0%. On the other hand, life insurance industry induces production-inducing effect of 1.6 won, value-added-inducing effects of 1.0 won, employ-inducing effect of 16.5 person, sectoral price effects is 1.2%. Overall, indemnity inducements has higher economic impacts than life insurance.
Dangerous and protective factors of school resilience: focusing on the technical high school students

In this study, I collected materials through the survey whose object is 573 students of technical high schools and 512 students of academic high schools in Seoul and Kyunggi areas, for examining dangerous factors and protective factors which influence on school resilience in technical high schools. The studying results are as followed. First, as the result of analyzing correlation between school resilience and dangerous factor, the higher dangerous factor was, the lower school resilience was. Second, as the result verifying the effects of dangerous factor on school resilience, discrimination of teacher, delinquency bond and anti-sociality made an effect on students in technical high schools and discrimination of teacher, delinquency bond and depression made an effect on students in academic high schools. Third, as the result analyzing correlation between school resilience and protective factor, the higher protective factor was, the higher school resilience was. Forth, as the result verifying the effects of protective factor on school resilience, support of teacher, democratic atmosphere of school, sense of responsibility, family cohesion, self-worth, rational supporting attitude made an effort on students in technical high schools and support of teacher, democratic atmosphere of school, sense of responsibility and family cohesion made an effect on students in academic high schools. Fifth, as the result analyzing the difference between dangerous factor and protective factor according to grade of school and standard of school resilience, there was an interaction in variables of anti-sociality, depression, delinquency bond and self-worth.
Students` satisfaction with their major and its influence on organizational commitment and behavior intentions to pursue career in the tourism-related fields among tourism-major college students

This study examined how students` satisfaction with their major department influences their organizational commitment and intention to pursue a career in tourism-related fields among college students majoring in hospitality and tourism. The results indicated that their overall satisfaction with their department affected positively their organizational commitment but not the behavioral intention to pursue career in the tourism-related fields. Organizational commitment, on the other hands, exerted a positively significant influence behavioral intention to pursue tourism-related career. The results of this study underscored the needs for the educators to manage students` psychological attachment to the department they belong to and their major field of study. Continuous relationship-building efforts should be made for the students to pursue tourism-related career after graduation. Such efforts include efficient communication between faculty and students, extended supports from the school and alumni to the students, and last but not the least, sufficient supports from colleges.
The Effect of Technical Newness and Design Newness to Consumer Adoption Process in New Product Communication Context

This study notes the impact of technical newness and design newness of new product to adoption process. The author aims to identify how to trigger intention of usage on new products, and test technical newness and design newness of determinants of perceived innovativeness and perceived curiosity and do such constructs that influence intention of usage of consumers as a result of consumer`s perception. The main findings are that technical newness and design newness positively influence perceived curiosity, and perceived innovativeness that positively influence intention of usage on the basis of the hypotheses.
An analysis of small-medium retailers` vulnerable factors in competition with SSM

Small-to-medium retailers in local neighborhood have been managing to survive without outside influence. However rapid change in business environment including consumer needs for goods and the quality of life has brought turbulence into retail business. Petty retailers are facing a crisis as large-sized discount stores owned by big enterprises are entering into traditional markets. To protect small-to-medium retailers from such threats and revive the traditional commercial markets the government is taking on the policy of subsidizing small-to-medium businesses. However, recent emergence of SSM (an industrialized supermarket in forms of direct management and affiliation) in local commercial areas has brought about conflicts and frictions between large companies and local merchants. Under this background this study attempted to make an analysis of vulnerable factors of small-to-medium retailers coping with SSM and probe for the alternatives to SSM business restructuring.

Financial Leverage of Korean Business Conglomerates "Chaebols" in the Post-Asian Financial Crisis

This study is to perform several major analyses to find any differences in the leverage between the pre- and post-period of the currency crisis. Moreover, another aspect is to investigate a financial aspect which has received relatively little attention to the firms and/or industries in the emerging capital markets in comparison to those in the advanced markets. The purpose of this empirical study is to confirm whether or not, it is myth or reality that Korean business conglomerate, chaebol, firms with subsidized financing from government-owned domestic financial institutions in the pre-financial turmoil, may still maintain their higher leverage, even after the crisis. An Option Hedge Strategy Using Machine Learning and Dynamic Delta Hedging

Option issuers generally utilize Dynamic Delta Hedging(DDH) technique to avoid the risk resulting from continuously changing option value. DDH duplicates payoff of option position by adjusting hedge position according to the delta value from Black-Scholes(BS) model in order to maintain risk neutral state. DDH, however, is not able to guarantee optimal hedging performance because of the weaknesses caused by impractical assumptions inherent in BS model. Therefore, this study presents a methodology for dynamic option hedge using artificial neural network(ANN) to enhance hedging performance and show the superiority of the proposed method using various computational experiments.

Recently, as the most people use the high-speed Internet service, it is positioned as a universal service in Korea. Therefore, the competition among service providers is becoming fierce and fierce. The defensive marketing which raise customer loyalty can be an effective method in this case. In this study, we identified the sources of customer loyalty in the high-speed Internet service. The results showed that the satisfaction on the service quality and after service impacts on the customer loyalty positively. We expect that this result will be helpful for practitioners to make customer strategies.
International technology cooperation of EU -FP and EUREKA-

The economy of the EU left behind the US economy in many aspects and the gap is widening. One major reason that promoted the EU`s leading position, is the ability to continuously advancing industrial technology and it`s high level of competitiveness. The role as a powerhouse of technological development is nurtured by a systematic attempt of the EU commission to stimulate international cooperation. Although the EU is focussing its efforts on international cooperation between EU-member states, nonmembers, namely Korea, can profit from this policy as well and generate win-win situations for both cooperating partners. Despite the enormous benefits for the Korean economy that would result from close ties with the EU in terms of technological cooperation, academic research in this area is very sparse. The main focus of the Korean academic community has been on the US and Japan so far; the cooperation between Korea and the EU was rather ignored. The purpose of this paper is to shed light on the potential of technological cooperation between Korea and the EU. After an introduction, chapter 2 explains the technology and innovation policy of the EU. Chapter 3 introduces the Framework Program for Research and Technological Development of the EU. Chapter 4 focuses on small and middle sized businesses and examines EUREKA, the EU’s effort to coordinate pan-european research cooperation.
Evaluation of Obesity from BMI and Body Fat Rate, and Its Association with Coronary Risk Factors in Health Checkup Examinees

To evaluate the degree of obesity based on differential combinations of BMI and body fat ratio, and thereby to obtain the comprehensive determination of coronary heart disease risk factors. The present study was conducted among 3,731 individuals(male; 2,312, female; 1,419) who underwent general health checkup in the general health promotion center in a university hospital during 2-year period from Jan. 2008 to Dec. 2009. Based on the obesity categories from combinations of BMI and body fat ratio, 30.2% were "normal", 8.9% were "seemingly obese", 31.2% were "occult obese", and 29.8% were "obese". By sexual comparison, the proportion of "normal" and "seeming obese" individuals were higher in men than women, while "occult obese" and "obesity" individuals were preponderant in women compared to men. By age, the proportion of "obesity" individuals were higher in the 40` and 50`s than in 30`s and 60`s. Based on the association between obesity categories and each of CRF, SBP, DBP, TC, HDL-C, LDL-C and TG was significantly higher in "seeming obese" and "obesity" group than in "normal" group, but SBP, TC and LDL-C was significantly higher in "occult obese" and "obesity" group than in "normal" group. For odds ratios of each of CRF for obesity categories, it was higher in "obesity" group, "seeming obese" group, "occult obese" group than in "normal" group in that order.

The Related Factors of Atopic Dermatitis Severity in Elementary School Students

This study was conducted to provide the basic data for the health management of the primary school, by finding and analyzing the factors affecting the degrees of atopic dermatitis symptom`s severeness. The subjects of our study were collected 273 pupils mothers, whose children are undergoing through the atopic symptoms. The investigation process took the entire month of the November in 2006. The result of the older the pupils, the severer their symptoms(p<0.05). The longer the period(p<0.01), the more widely spread over the body, and the severer the symptoms(p<0.01). In the dietary habit, the more meat they eat, the severer the symptom(p<0.05). and in relation to the eating the food outside home, the more frequently they eat the fast-food, the severer the symptom. In the multiple logistic regression analysis, using the degrees of atopic dermatitis symptom`s severeness as the dependent variables. it is discovered that the longer infection period they have and the more frequently they have the fast-food, the severer the symptom of the atopic dermatitis. The parent`s love for the child, the monthly cost for the management of the infection, and the parent`s feeling toward the child, can have a greate influence on the physical health, the feelings and the relation with the friends of the infected child, when the child shows the symptoms of scratching his skin. Group Classification on Management Behavior of Diabetic Mellitus

The purpose of this study is to provide informative statistics which can be used for effective Diabetes Management Programs. We collected and analyzed the data of 666 diabetic people who had participated in Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey in 2007 and 2008. Group classification on management behavior of Diabetic Mellitus is based on the K-means clustering method. The Decision Tree method and Multiple Regression Analysis were used to study factors of the management behavior of Diabetic Mellitus. Diabetic people were largely classified into three categories: Health Behavior Program Group, Focused Management Program Group, and Complication Test Program Group. First, Health Behavior Program Group means that even though drug therapy and complication test are being well performed, people should still need to improve their health behavior such as exercising regularly and avoid drinking and smoking. Second, Focused Management Program Group means that they show an uncooperative attitude about treatment and complication test and also take a passive action to improve their health behavior. Third, Complication Test Program Group means that they take a positive attitude about treatment and improving their health behavior but they pay no attention to complication test to detect acute and chronic disease early. The main factor for group classification was to prove whether they have hyperlipidemia or not. This varied widely with an individual`s gender, income, age, occupation, and self rated health. To improve the rate of diabetic management, specialized diabetic management programs should be applied depending on each group`s character.
Immunological Change of the Lymph Node and Lymph Follicles, Stimulated LPS in the Popliteal Lymph Node of the Early Postnatal Mice

This study was designed to clarify the morphometrical change of lymph node, deep cortex and lymph follicles in draining lymph nodes of young mice in response to local injection of lipopolysaccharide(LPS). 1. In the group stimulated with LPS, aged 0 day and 3 days, the number of lymph follicles were not significantly different from those of control group. 2. In the group two to four weeks after injection with LPS, aged five days and one week, the number of lymph follicles were significantly increased from those of control group. 3. In the group one to four weeks after injection with LPS, aged 0 day, three days, five days and one week, the area of lymph node and deep cortex increased about 1.5-3 times more than that of the control group. 4. In the group two to four weeks after injection with LPS, aged three days, five days and one week, the lymph follicles(the area: larger than 0.1 mm2) were increased from those of control group. 5. In the group two to four weeks after injection with LPS, aged five days and one week, the lymph follicles(the area: smaller than 0.01 mm2) were increased from those of control group. The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between regular mealtime, oral health knowledge and oral health to prevent dental impairment of college students. This research design is correlation study. Data of 903 were collected from June 1 to June 30, 2010. Data were analyzed using the SPSS PASW Statistics 18.0 Program. More than 50% of respondents were the irregular mealtime. Higher percentage of correct answer in the oral health knowledge showed periodontal disease prevention(82.6%). There were a statistical significant in grade, major, smoking, drinking, and wishing for dental care between general characteristics and regular mealtime respectively(p<.05). Between general characteristics and oral health knowledge were a statistical significant in gender, age, grade, smoking, and dental checkup respectively(p<.05). On the other hand, there was a statistical significant wishing for dental care between general characteristics and oral health(p<.001). Regular mealtime was negatively associated with oral health(p<.01). Education for oral health should include regular mealtime, prohibit of smoking and alcohol, right toothbrushing and so on.

This study was performed to determine the levels of quality of life(QOL) according to the grade of long-term care service in the elderly people who affiliated from long-term care insurance, and to reveal its association with socio-demographic characteristics, health status and health related behaviors. The interviews were performed, during the period from March 1st, to May 31th, 2009, to 410 elderlies in rural areas. As a results, the levels of QOL were lower in the group of higher grade of long-term care insurance. In hierarchial multiple regression analysis, the factors influencing on the level QOL were age, Living status, Subjective health status, Bed ridden status, Disability of body, Urinary incontinence, Amnesia and Frequency of going out. Especially, the health status variables were higher related with QOL than other variables.

This study was conducted to investigate setting approach of health promotion in Healthy city projects. We used the secondary data of 2008-2010 Healthy city projects, reports, papers, workshops and symposia and had professional meetings to obtain the implications. Setting approach of health promotion in Healthy city projects conducted 27 (14.7%) in 2008 and 42 (21.8%) in 2009. Looking at the type of setting approach, villages and schools, respectively, was the highest (six, 22.2%) in 2008. In 2009, the school was 12 (28.6%), apartment 8 (19.0%), village 6 (14.3%), day nursery 5 (11.9%), workplace and senior center 4, respectively (9.5%), market 3 (7.1%). School and apartment are the most common setting approach in the metropolitan area, but senior center and village are most common in the rural areas. The good examples of health promoting schools, healthy workplaces, healthy villages, healthy apartments, health promoting hospitals, healthy markets, healthy senior centers were examined. To sustain and success the setting approach in health promotion, persons in settings must know the exact meaning of `setting` and `health promotion` and the efforts that setting can play an important role in healthy cities (communities) will be required.

This paper developed the algorithm for improving the performance the auto pilot in the autonomous vehicle system consisting of the Track keeping control, the Automatic steering, and the Automatic mooring control. The automatic steering is the control device that could save the voyage distance and cost of fuel by reducing the unnecessary burden of driving due to the continuous artificial navigation, and avoiding the route deviation. During the step of the ship autonomic navigation control, since the wind power or the tidal force could make the ship deviate from the fixed course, the automatic steering calculates the difference between actual sailing line and the set course to keep the ship sailing in the vicinity of intended course. first, we could get the transfer function for the modeling of ship according to the Nomoto model. Considering the maneuverability, we propose it as linear model with only 4 degree of freedoms to present the heading angle response to the input of rudder angle. In this paper, the model of ship is derived from the simplified Nomoto model. Since the proposed model considers the maximum angle and rudder rate of the ship auto pilot and also designs the Fuzzy controller based on existing PID controller, the performance of the steering machine is well improved.

Exposure process is the most important technology to fabricate highly integrated circuit. Up to now, mask type lithography process has been generally used. However, it is not efficient for small quantity and/or frequently changing products. Therefore, maskless lithography technology is raised in exposure process. In this study, relations between multi-beam energy and overlay were analyzed. Exposure experiment of generating pattern was performed. It was from presented scan line by multi- beam simulation. As a result, optimal scan line distance was proposed by simulation, and micro pattern accuracy could be improved by exposure experiment using laser direct imaging system.

Presently, the level of service(LOS) of the domestic roads are evaluated by using average speed of passing by vehicles. However, this method has been designed by considering the degree of congestion on the road only, without considering the reality of traffic safety. Therefore, for the LOS to serve as an index evaluating proper road design and operation, it should be able to deal with wider coverage than known factors which directly affects road users. Therefore the study wants to explore the concept of user cost, as a factor that covers traffic safety and flow, for evaluating roads. In order to design highly efficient system, it is important to understand the output characteristics of solar panels. The single diode model can represent the physical characteristics of solar panel. But it needs complex process such as mutli-step measurement and numerical analysis to get the exact parameters. In this paper, The method for extracting characteristic parameters of the single diode model based on the I-V characteristic curves in the panel manufacturer`s data-sheet is presented. The shipbuilding industry needs automation and mechanization to solve reduction of skilled workers and labor shortage. Ship manufacturing process is the lack of automation than standardized manufacturing field. In this paper, we design and development an process automation system for hand rail production. Mechanical parts of the cutting process was designed with efficiency, productivity and reliability, CATIA and ANSYS, the stability of the mechanical structure was confirmed. System control using a PCNC controller to provide an open and scalable, and operate using touch-screen display control and monitoring of the system was performed. The automatic system successfully passed the driving test and processing test, and it showed an excellent performance.

There is no standard model for a Stated Period Check and a Precise Safety Diagnosis to remove electric fire and shock in the university Lab and institute. Especially, the research for the Stated Period Check and the Precise Safety Diagnosis of the Lab related to electrical field is very weak currently, and it is very necessary to build a detail safety plan. This paper informs the specific standard guideline of the safety check list, method and equipment and it shows the way to evaluate safety grade too. This paper also provides the information of R&D process through the analysis of electrical safety check list of ordinary R&D Lab. It shows a new detail guideline to R&D Lab, and the new guideline removes existing problem and deliver the effective standard model to each R&D Lab. The standard model developed in this research adopts the clear guideline of each check list for the electrical environment of current R&D Lab. This standard model can be applied for every R&D Lab to detect routine safety check and detail safety check immediately. This Research will generally improve not only the effective safety check, but also the safety level for R&D Lab to prevent the electrical accidents.

Presently, the location and direction information are certainly needed for the autonomous vehicle of the ship. Among them, the direction information is a essential elements to automatic steering system. And the gyro-compass, the magnetic-compass and the GPS compass are the sensor indicating the direction. The gyro-compasses are mainly used in the large-sized ship of the GMDSS(Global Maritime Distress & Safety System). The precision and the reliability of the gyro-compasses are excellent but big volume and high price are disadvantage. The magnetic-compass has relatively fine precision and inexpensive price. However, the disadvantage is in the influence by the magnetism object including the steel structure of a ship, and etc. In the case of the GPS compass, the true north is indicated according to the change of the location information but in case of the minimum number of satellites or stopping of a ship or exercise in the error range, the exact direction cannot be obtained. In this paper, the performance of the GPS compass was improved by using the least-square curve fitting method for the mutual trade off of the angle sensor. The algorithm which improves the precision of an azimuth by applying the weighted value according to the size of covariance error was proposed with GPS-compass and magnetic compass. The characteristic and the performance of the proposed algorithm were analyzed and verified through experimentation. The applicability of the proposed algorithm was shown through the experimental result.
Performance Analysis of Block Turbo Coded OFDM System Using Channel State Information

In this paper, the new decoding algorithm of Block Turbo Codes using Channel State Information(CSI), which is estimated to compensate for the distorted signal caused by multi-path fading, is proposed in order to improve error correction capacity during decoding procedure in OFDM system. The performance of the new decoding algorithm is compared to that of the conventional decoding algorithm without using channel state information under the Rayleigh fading channel. Experimental results showed that in case of only one iteration coding gains of up to 5.0dB~9.0dB can be obtained by applying the channel state information to the conventional decoding algorithm according to the modulation methods. In addition to that, the new decoding algorithm using channel state information at only one iteration shows a performance improvement of 3.5dB to 5.0dB when compared to the conventional decoding algorithm after four iterations. This leads to reduce the considerable amount of computation.

But the increased market and users has not resulted in the systematic management of sailing safety and equipment. Marine leisure activities occur on water, so the damage from collisions and distress calls are greater than land based leisure activities. And marine leisure equipment is very expensive, requiring systematic management. Blackboard architecture was designed as a means for dealing with ill-defined and complex problems. In order to improve the efficiency of the systems using blackboard architecture, this paper proposes a mechanism for fast detection of knowledge source activations which can contribute potentially to the problem solving of blackboard systems, whenever the state of blackboard is changed. The proposed mechanism uses a Rete network generated from the activation conditions subscribed by all knowledge sources to process the pattern matching between blackboard data and the activation conditions efficiently.

To improve drawback of existing modulation method, in this paper, we propose the channel forecast method using adaptive modulation which can improve throughput of channel. This method adaptively changes modulation method to the change of channel environments. In proposed method, channel`s characteristics are measured in realtime to determine code rate to the changes of demanded channel`s bit error rate. For the available grid environmental realization, the resource supply PC must have to provide an appropriate security function of their operation environments. SKY@HOME is a kind of the grid computing environments. If this has not supervised by administrator handling smoothly, it is inherently vulnerable state to the security level of the grid environments, because the resource supply PC is not update a security function without delay. It is also have the troublesome problems which have to install of an additional security program for support the appropriate security. This paper proposes an integration security model on the policy-based that provides an update each level according to the situation of the resource supply PC for improving its problems as a security aspect of the SKY@HOME. This model analyzes the security state of the resource supply PC respectively, and then the result is available to provide an appropriate security of the resource supply PC using an integration security model. The proposed model is not need additionally to buy and install the software, because it is provided the security management server oriented service. It is also able to set up the suit security function of a characteristic of the each resource supply PC. As a result, this paper clearly show the participation of resource supply PC improved about 20%.

Web accessibility for information vulnerable people has been important due to the web sites are recognized as an essential tool in everyday life for information and knowledge acquisition. In addition, since Disability Discrimination Act has been enacted in 2008, the demand for human resources with skills of web accessibility has been increased. However, courses of web accessibility have yet not been provided by domestic universities. In this paper, based on the Tyler model and Instructional System Design(ISD) model, a web accessibility curriculum that can be adopted in domestic universities is developed. To this end, educational goals of web accessibility were set and web accessibility education contents and characteristics were analyzed from 423 domestic universities and 197 universities in 4 foreign countries. Finally, the curriculum was validated by accessibility experts. The suggested curriculum can be applied to web educations for universities and institutions.

In this paper, a solar power emotional LED lightening street lamps with multi control sun tracker is presented. The proposed system has a multiple control sun tracking function and high quality emotional LED lamps. The system is designed to absorb maximum sun lights by temperature sensor and humidity sensor of control circuits. A battery charge-discharge controller is developed for high efficient usage of battery charger for utilization of new and renewal energy. An interface circuit for remote monitoring and controlling is included in the developed system. The proposed multi tracking solar power emotional LED street lamps is better than conventional systems in aspect of tracking operation and energy efficiency, and expected to be a leading model for next generation solar power street lamp system, because it is a new technology combining sun tracking solar power system and emotional lightening system.

In-situ California Bearing Ratio(CBR) test has been widely used for evaluating the subgrade condition in pavements. However, because the in-situ CBR test is expensive and takes time for operation, it is difficult to figure out the in-situ characteristics of subgrade strength in detail. For faster and economical operation, the Dynamic Cone Penetrometer(DCP) has been often utilized for estimating the subgrade strength in the field. Deflection Behavior of Concrete Members Reinforced with FRP Bars

The effective moment of inertia revising the expression proposed by Branson has been used in ACI 440.1R-06 design guide for calculating deflections of FRP-reinforced concrete members. However, its adequacy has been questioned by several researchers. The propose of this study is to provide fundamental data for the rational design of deflection by the comparison of the experimental results obtained from twelve specimens with rectangular section and nine specimens with T-shaped section to the theoretical results. As a result, it found that calculated results for specimens with rectangular section were underestimated comparing to test results, while calculated results for specimens with T-shaped section were overestimated comparing to test results.

This paper reports results of a joint experimental and numerical investigation of the causes of near-transducer errors due to the combined effect of acoustic and ADCP-induced flow disturbance near the ADCP transducer. The laboratory study focused on an isolated ADCP (deployment without boat). Measurements of the flow disturbance produced by the ADCP in vertical and horizontal planes were obtained acquiring measurements with an Acoustic Doppler Velocimeter (ADV). Concurrent measurements with ADCP and ADV were made to infer additional near-transducer effects in the ADCP measurements. The numerical investigation was designed to extend the inquiry on the near-transducer potential errors when the ADCP is deployed from a boat. Large Eddy Simulation (LES) was conducted to obtain the extent and magnitude of the disturbances induced by the drag acting on a boat-mounted ADCP and by the blockage effect of the instrument and boat. It is found the velocities measured by the ADCP are biased low and differ substantially from the undisturbed channel flow solution within a limited layer beneath the instrument.
A Study on Industrialization and the Changes of Architectural Design

Industrialization played an important role in modernization and the birth of modern architecture. The changes caused by the industrialization and people`s faith in its output are reflected in an attempt to associate the concepts and process of architecture with industrialization. In the course of incorporating architecture into the industrialization process, it became necessary to understand the architecture from practical point of view connecting it directly with scientific technology rather than in the context of historical tradition in the past. Understanding architecture as a kind of industrial production signifies two concepts. One is regarding perception of architectural outputs. The other is regarding the intention to proceed architectural process as a process of industrial production. The purpose of this study is to review the changes in the architecture influenced by industrialization from post-industrialization through early modern period and to analyze its significance and influence.
A Study on the Planning at the Pilotis Spaces of the Public Apartment Housing (Focused on the Structural Change)

The purpose of this study is to analyze the present conditions of the pilotis spaces of the public apartment housing and to suggest the future planning means of the spaces. At the present time, most of the pilotis space has been constructed in wall-bearing method. However, post and beam method(or Rahmen) will be used due to the municipal public-housing policy. Observation of seven(7) different locations and twenty-eight(28) blocks, and interview with the residents were employed to gather the data. Regarding functional relevance, six types of the space were selected, and planning suggestions for each type were followed. Among others, the conclusions include: the pilotis space should be planned as an interior for the future, as well as it should be open enough to secure the view from the surroundings.
Busan building height regulations for the management of mountain landscape: focused on the skyline of Hwangreung Mountain

The high-rise buildings have been indiscriminately located in the good natural landscape in Busan. They destroy the mountain skyline that is the key role of urban landscape and lower the index of greenness. Busan need the efficient management methods of the mountain skyline to improve the quality of urban life, the amenity of urban landscape, and the index of greenness. This study is to propose the method of building height restriction both through the GIS bases multiple sight surface analysis and through the analysis of the floor area ratio to make up for the weakness of single sight surface analysis has been used as a means of building height restriction. It studies the residential district with Hwangreung Mountain in the background at Deeyeon-don, Nam-gu, Busan. It achieves both objectivity and time efficiency by multiple sight surface analysis. Reflecting the result of this simulation at strategic viewpoints, it enables landscape planning to be comprehensive. Lastly it suggests building height regulation for protecting the mountain skyline which responds to the local conditions.
Study on solubilization of sewage sludge using electrolysis techniques

Although sludge production has been increased due to the number of the wastewater treatment plants expanded, needs of the techniques for the sludge reduction and disposal has been issued importantly because the sludge dumping to ocean is prohibited from 2012 by the London Dumping Convention. Therefore, the sludge solubilization using electrolysis as an alternative techniques for the sludge disposal was carried out in this study. Iridium coated titanium based insoluble electrodes were used and 20 volt was applied to the electrolysis reactor using DC power supply. Supernatants of the treated sludge was monitored: The soluble COD, TN, TP of it was increased to 151%, 22% and 6% respectively. And the sludge floc size distribution was changed, that is, the flocs ranged from 0.1 to 1.0
were increased. All of these results indicate that the cells were lysed and the internal matters bursted out of the cell after electrolysis. As well as the reduction of the sludge production, the soluble organic matters from the cells could be used as an external carbon sources in the advanced wastewater treatment plants.

The 3D computational fluid dynamics (CFD) was performed in relation to the internal fluid characteristics and flow distribution for the development of the most optimal model in the complex post-disposal device. As it is expected that a channeling (drift) would be made by the semi-dry reactor due to the large difference in the flow distribution by the compartment in the bag filter, a structural improvement should be urgently made for more uniformed flow distribution in the bag filter. Three types of modifications such as i) changing the plenum shape, ii) orifice install in the exit part of cleaned gas, iii) increasing the plenum number were established. From the results of computational fluid dynamics, it was revealed that the changing of plenum shape and orifice install in the exit part of cleaned gas was more reasonable than the increasing the plenum number because of the difficulties of retrofit. The complex post-disposal device, modified and supplemented with this analysis, integrated the semi-dry reactor and the bag filter in a single body, so it follows that the improvement can make the device compact, save the installation area, save the operation fee, and management more convenient.

In this study, nanodiamod`s surface have formed carboxyl, hydroxyl, amine radical for the purpose of use of nanodiamond synthesized by detonation, and then it has widely stable dispersion and slowly sedimentation in solvent. Thus nanodiamonds obtained by chemical treatment were used to analyze the structure, surface statement, particle size and sedimentation specification in solvent for method X-ray diffration(XRD), scanning electron microscope energy diffraction spectroscopy(SEM-EDS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), automic force microscope(AFM).

This research carried out a 3-dimensional simulation using computerized fluid dynamics (CFD) for the flow characteristics, temperature distribution, velocity distribution and residence time, etc. in a reactor in order to derive the optimal combustion conditions of an innovative combustion system. The area-weighted average temperature of the outlet of a furnace during combustion at a condition of fuel input rate 1.5 ton/hr, residence time 1.25 sec and air/fuel ratio 2.1 was
, which is a suitable temperature for energy recovery and treatment of air pollutants. Exhaust gas is discharged through a duct at a 40~50 m/s maximum speed along strong vortexes at the center of a combustion chamber, so strong turbulence is created at the center of a combustion chamber to enhance the combustion speed and combustion efficiency. In this system, the optimum operation conditions to prevent incomplete combustion and suppress the formation of thermal NOx were air/fuel ratio 1.9~2.1 and fuel input rate 1.25~1.5 ton/hr.

In this paper, simulation works for a multi-stage cascade refrigeration cycle using propane, ethylene and methane as refrigerants have been performed for the liquefaction of natural gas using Peng-Robinson equation of state built-in PRO/II with PROVISION release 8.3. The natural gas feed compositions were supplied from Korea Gas Corporation and the flow rate was assumed to be 5.0 million tons per annual. Supply temperature for propane refrigerant was fixed as

. For the multi-stage refrigeration cycle, three-stage refrigeration was assumed for propane refrigeration cycle, two-stage refrigeration for ethylene refrigeration cycle and three-stage refrigeration for methane refrigeration cycle. Natural gas was finally cooled and liquefied to
by Joule-Thomson expansion. Conclusively, 91.71% by mole of the natural gas liquefaction ratio was obtained through a cascade refrigeration cycle and Joule-Thomson expansion and 0.433 kW of compression power was consumed for the liquefaction of 1.0 kg/hr of natural gas.
Characterization and source apportionment by factor analysis of water soluble ions in atmospheric particles in Cheonan, Korea

Seasonal characteristics of water soluble ions in atmospheric particles in Cheonan were studied between 2008 and 2009.
were the principle cations and anions in both coarse and fine particles. Water soluble ions occupied 24.4%(spring), 33.2%(summer), 40.7%(fall), and 39.6%(winter) of the total mass of coarse particles. In fine particles, 43.0%(spring), 59.7%(summer), 55.4%(fall), and 53.2%(winter) of mass were occupied by water soluble ions. From the factor analysis, 2 and 4 factors were extracted for water soluble ions in coarse and fine particles, respectively. 70.33% of water ions in the coarse particles were estimated from the natural source, but 66.01% in the fine particles were from the anthropogenic source.

A Study on the Minimization of the Refrigeration Power Consumptions Through the Determination of Demethanizer Top Pressure in the NGL Recovery Process Using Turbo-expander

In this study, simulation and optimization works for a demethanizer column have been performed to obtain ethane and heavier products from a pretreated natural gas stream. Pretreated natural gas feed stream was partially condensed after being precooled by exchanging heat with demethanizer top vapor stream and by using an external refrigeration cycle with a propane refrigerant. Vapor stream was cooled further and partially condensed through a turbo-expander. The power generated from the expansion of turbo-expander was delivered to the compressor for the residue gas compression. Liquid stream was cooled by Joule-Thomson expansion valve and was fed to the middle section of the demethanizer. Recovery percent of ethane for feed natural was set to 80% and methane to ethane molar ratio was fixed as 0.0119. On the other hand, some of the cold heat could be recovered by splitting the feed stream and by exchanging heat with side reboiler in order to reduce the heat duty in the propane refrigeration cycle.
