A Study on Durability of Automotive Propeller Shaft by Fatigue and Vibration

Fatigue life and vibration can be analyzed at automotive propeller shaft during driving in this study. The york part is shown with the maximum equivalent stress and displacement of
m. The possible life in use in case of `SAE bracket` is the shortest among the fatigue loading lives of `SAE bracket`, `SAE transmission` and Sample history. There are the most frequency as 80% in case of `SAE bracket and the least frequency as 5% in case of Sample history`. Maximum amplitude displacement is 0.00261m at 58 Hz at forced vibration. As the result of this study is applied by the propeller shaf, the prevention on fatigue damage and the durability are predicted.
One Dimensional Simulation Model Development of the EFI Small Engine

One dimensional simulation model of an EFI small engine has been developed based on the commercial small engine. Newly developed simulation model has been evaluated comparing with the experimental results to check the validity. Simulation result shows very good agreement having margin of error of 3 percentage compared with experimental torque and power values. Also, to improve the small engine performance, the influence of the intake valve timing and duration on the engine performance has been analyzed using the simulation model.

The core of IT products, electronic components, especially the MLCC, chip inductors, chip Varistors and so on. In order to test the electrical characteristics of the chip using the Reno-pin contact test method has been used. In current chips, mass production of semiconductor manufacturing processes, high-speed production test for the chip speed up, precision is required. But Vibration displacement is a very short, so in order to overcome these shortcomings, the displacement amplification to design the structure has been actively studied. In this paper, a building structure with a flexible hinge was designed amplification instrument, semiconductor chip industry in the performance test and inspection equipment to measure the electrical characteristics of high speed linear actuators Reno-Pin using system was developed.
A Study on the Correlation Improvement between FEA and Test for a Pedestrian Lower Legform Impact

This paper proposed the finite element analysis technique for improving the correleration accuracy between FEA and test on a pedestrian lower legform impact. Europe has been evaluating the bumper pedestrian impact by Euro-NCAP, and it will also be applied in a domestic area by K-NCAP in 2013. By using the compression test result of bending resisting stiffener, a pedestrian bumper modeling guide was presented by analayzing the force-displacement curve of stiffener. And by using the sensor measurement results in car pedestrian test, pedestrian impact behavior was analyzed between test and finite element analysis result. Finally, the finite element analysis guide for a pedestrian bumper impact was presented to improve the correleration accuracy.
Improvement of Hill Climbing Ability for 6WD/6WS Vehicle using Optimum Tire Force Distribution Method

Multi-axle driving vehicle are favored for military use in off road operations because of their high mobility on extreme terrains and obstacles. Especially, Military Vehicle needs an ability to driving on hills of 60% angle slope. This paper presents the improvement of the ability of hill climbing for 6WD/6WS vehicle through the optimal tire force distribution method. From the driver`s commands, the desired longitudinal force, the desired lateral force, and the desired yaw moment were obtained for the hill climbing of vehicle using optimal tire force distribution method. These three values were distributed to each wheel as the torque based on optimal tire force distribution method using friction circle and cost function. To verify the performance of the proposed algorithm, the simulation is executed using TruckSim software. Two vehicles, the one the proposed algorithm is implemented and the another the tire`s forces are equivalently distributed, are compared. At the hill slop, the ability to driving on hills is improved by using the optimum tire force distribution method.
A Study on How to Reduce Vibration in order to Decrease the Cracks that Form on the Upper Floor of a Structure due to Continuous Dynamic Loading

In this study, we investigate the cracks that formed on the upper floor of the structures due to continuous dynamic loading. We explain the cause of floor slab cracks on the upper floor of the distribution center and discuss preventive measures that can enhance the center`s functions and security. In order to explain how a forklift`s excessive vibration can cause the cracks, we have measured and analyzed the vibration during a forklift`s operation and discovered that the cracks form because the vibration exceeds the vibration criteria. Using a finite element modeling on such results, we have come up with optimal methods to reduce the vibration and confirmed their validity by measuring the vibration after implementing our methods.
Development of Fire Extinguisher Valves for Tracked Vehicle Using Novec1230

Halon which is one of the typical fire extinguishing agents for special purposes was banned not only to use but to manufacture because it destroys the earth`s ozone layer. There have been many efforts to find or create Halon alternatives and Novec1230 which is one of the eco-friendly fire extinguishing agents is nominated. In this paper 6 kinds of valve structures were suggested to apply Novec1230 to fire extinguishing agents for railroad vehicles as Novec1230 needs different valve specifications from Halon and spray shapes and action time were compared and measured. As the results, the extinguishing times of A type and F type valves are 20% faster than the other 4 types, and 178% faster than MIL-DTL-62547(USA). Therefore, they can be suggested to the eco-friendly extinguishing agents and Novec1230.
Performance Development of the 400cc EFI Small Engine

The EFI small engine has been redesigned and manufactured based on a commercial small engine with a carburettor. Performance development of the EFI small engine has been conducted to optimize the operating conditions. Maximum torque and power were 12.56Ps and 25.4Nm, respectively, that were equivalent with carburettor type engine. Brake specific fuel consumption of the EFI small engine has been improved 17% on average compared with that of base small engine with a carburettor. By conducting KG2-6 mode test,HC+NOx was 7.46g/kWh that satisfied EPA Phase 3 regulation. THC has been reduced 41% on average, but NOx has been increased 3.5 times on average due to the improved thermal efficiency.
Design and Impact Analysis of Automotive Bumper Beam Using Aluminum Foam

In this paper, the automotive beam using aluminium foam is designed and the impact analysis is carried out. The analysis model is the beam of actual size with B- type section structure. At the frontal crash of low speed, ANSYS AUTODYN is used by predicting the behavior of deformation and its internal energy. By the use of 7075-T6 aluminum alloy, the weight is reduced as much as 55% than steel. The deformation at the bumper foam of aluminum is similar with that of steel and the impact energy reduction at aluminum is more than steel. The foam filled with aluminum as much as 50 % has more impact energy absorption than the completely filled aluminum foam.
Development of a machine vision system for automotive part car seat frame inspection

This study presents the development of a machine vision inspection system(MVIS) purposely for car seat frames as an alternative for human inspection. The proposed MVIS is designed to meet the demands, features and specifications of car seat frame manufacturing companies in striving for increased throughput of better quality. This computer-based MVIS is designed to perform quality measures by detecting holes, nuts and welding spots on every car seat frame in real time. In this study, the NI Vision Builder software for Automatic Inspection was used as a solution in configuring the aimed quality measurements. The techniques for visual inspection are optimized through qualitative analysis and simulation of human tolerance on inspecting car seat frames. Furthermore, this study exemplifies the incorporation of the optimized vision inspection environment to the pre-inspection and post-inspection subsystems. The system built on this proposed MVIS for car seat frames has successfully found the possible detections.
A Scheme of Preventing Product Shortage for Die Casting Scheduling

Scheduling of die casting is a procedure of determining quantities of cast products so as to optimize a predetermined performance criterion. This paper presents a novel scheme of preventing product shortage raised by defective castings when die casting scheduling is applied to real casting operations. The previously developed linear programming (LP) model for die casting scheduling maximizes the average efficiency of melting furnaces in regard of the usage of molten alloy. However, the LP model is not able to cope with the problem of defective products occurring in the casting process. The proposed scheme is that whenever defective products are found in a shift, the foundryman produces additional cast products using the residue of molten alloy left at the end of the next shift. Neither the calculated amount of molten alloy nor the scheduling result of the LP model does not have to be altered for this method. The simulation result demonstrates the superiority and applicability of the newly proposed scheme.
Development of educational contents for the real time monitoring by changing of hybrid vehicle driving mode

A key factor in the study of hybrid vehicle is to enhance the usability of energy. The paper introduces the monitor and controlling technology of hybrid vehicle that can process the relevant information considering the structure of power system and driving strategies simultaneously, and can monitor its results. This technology, so called HEV algorithm analysis, has been applied to PRIUS THS made by Toyota Co. LTD. This model is adapted to parallel hybrid type. It has a somewhat comlex structure, but has several merits. It`s energy loss is lower when conversing. and also it is easily applied to the conventional vehicle having a gasoline engine without any overall changing of its structure, and so on. This monitor and controlling technology is very useful to study on the various driving strategies of hybrid vehicle for maximizing the usability between engine and electric motor.
A study on the runner system for filling balance in multi-cavity injection molds

In this study, flow characteristics in a multi-cavity injection molding process were investigated. One of main problems occurred in the multi-cavity molding is a flow imbalance among cavities since it affects physical properties and quality of products. Charge imbalance is caused by the uneven shear stress. Therefore, changes in viscosity affect the physical properties of resin and injection conditions differ in the filling imbalance phenomenon. Through, this study focus on experimental studies of flow imbalance for PC and PP resin occurring in a balanced delivery system. Experimental results were compared with CAE results. By experimental and CAE analysis, main cause for the flow imbalance is temperature distribution in cross section of runner. New runner system with a simple change of runner shape was suggested to avoid the flow imbalance. A series of simulation to confirm feasibility of Volume Runner`s effects was conducted using injection molding CAE.

Through the convergence of the games industry value creation is possible regions. It typically appears as a Serious Game. Education, medical, defense such as industry and convergence are creating greater added value. The government also identified the importance of the games industry, and the budget set, game development, support business, human resources development policy, along with business and industry to industry to solve the social problems of regulatory policy and operations are being announced. However, by accessing it from a different perspective on the continued growth of the industry`s problems is thought to act as. Thus, policymakers in government positions and in fact industry to conduct business in the private sector to reflect both the position of the design of a new development approach is needed. In this study examines the current game industry development policies, as well as activities at corporate level and industry level, the activities of national at the same time that the service should consider using a model with an integrated perspective of the games industry development policy is proposed.

To understand current status for the utilization of Korean military specifications(KDS) and other standards/specifications in munitions companies, we have surveyed 150 companies mainly related with electrical and electronic industry. Most of the companies have expected that the harmonization of KDS and KS would bring a positive effect on their business, especially from the point of quality control, productivity increase, the reduction of expenditure for standard management and so on. This survey result will help to build more user-friendly management system for KDS as well as KS.

The Effect of the Reading Discussion-oriented Career Exploration Program on Elementary School Students` Career Development and Achievement Motivation Improvement

The purpose of study is to examine the effects of the reading discussion-oriented career exploration program for elementary school students on career development and achievement motivation. To achieve this purpose, three fifth grade classes were assigned to an experimental group, comparative group A and comparative group B. Reading discussion-oriented exploration program for the experimental group was conducted for five weeks in ten sessions, the same period of time for comparative group A was given for conducting a career education program and subject studying was conducted on comparative group B. The results of this study, the experimental group applied to the reading discussion-oriented career exploration programs showed a significant increase in their career development compared with the subject studying group. But they did not show a significant increase compared with the career education group. Second, experimental group applied to the reading discussion-oriented career exploration programs showed significant increase their achievement motivation compared with the subject studying group and career education group.
Dynamic Interindustry Linkages Analysis of Human Resources Development in the field of Information Technology

This study investigates both backward and forward multipliers of human capital in the field of information technology in order to evaluate human resources programs which were executed in the public sectors. Dynamic interindustry linkages analysis was employed as a methodology after classifying human capitals related to information technology into 9 industries. First, empirical findings showed that there are economic externalities in the IT HRD programs when the formation of human capital increases with more investment in them. Second, another finding was that the effect of HRD programs could be powerful when HRD programs were closely connected with R&D programs, showing that R&D programs among IT HRD programs have huge backward linkage effect. In addition, IT service sector has its own spill-over effect to other industries. Third, however, small budget and one off HRD programs should be considered as a negative price synergy effect. Finally, overall economic feasibility of IT HRD programs turned out to be excellent with consideration of their own economic direct and indirect effect.
A Study on the Effectiveness of Horticultural Therapy on the Emotional Stability of Children From Broken Homes

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of horticultural therapy on children from broken homes: this treatment program, implemented in the social welfare field, targets the children`s depression, self-esteem, and social and emotional stress. Its object was composed of 13 lower grade students enrolled in special facilities according to the life-cycle method, and its data were collected as making use of the structured questionnaire. An Analysis on Joint Choice of Tenure and Dwelling Type in Cheonan

This study explores the plausible socio-economic variables that influence joint choice of tenure and dwelling type in Cheonan. For estimating these joint choice models, multinomial logit framework is employed. Following the practice of other studies, we chose the age of householder, education level of householder, occupation of householder, residence duration in Cheonan, experience of capital area residence, plan of capital area move and the monthly income of household as socio-economic variables, and size of house, access of subway area, residence area as house characteristics. According to the estimation result, we can derive som implications. For example, the higher monthly income of household, more member of student, bigger size of house, longer residence duration of Cheonan, the more they prefer owing house apartment to renting it. In addition, as householders are older, size of house is bigger, they prefer owing-non apartment to owing house-apartment.

This research is to analyze what kinds of relationships exist between child care teachers` concerns and their role in improving children`s creativity and their teaching efficacy. There are two research questions. First, what kind of relationship is shown between child care teacher`s concerns and their role in improving children`s creativity? Second, what kind of relationship can be shown between child care teacher`s concerns and their teaching efficacy? A survey was carried out with 156 public kindergarten teachers in the J region to research these questions. The conclusions are as follows: First, child care teachers` concerns and their role in improving children`s creativity had a static correlation in total as well as in part. Second, child care teacher`s concerns and their teaching efficacy had a static correlation in total as well as in part. In this study, we have concretely discussed the content and methods of child care teachers` education by analyzing child care teachers` requirements.
The impact of cash holdings on investment-cash flow sensitivity

This paper investigates how does cash holdings have effect on investment-cash flow sensitivity in korea firms over the period 1981-2009. According to
.Arslan et al.(2006), I expect that financially constrained firms have more cash holdings. and financially constrained cash-rich firms are likely to have less investment-cash flow sensitivity especially in the financial crisis period. Using financial constraint classification variables(firm size, dividend, cash holdings), we divide whole sample firms into financially constrained firms and financially unconstrained firms, and then I compare investment-cash flow sensitivity in pre-financial crisis(1981-1996), financial crisis(1997-1998) and after-financial crisis(1999-2009) period. This paper`s findings are as follows: First, under no financial constraint classification conditions, cash-poor firms exhibit greater investment-cash flow sensitivity than cash-rich firms do during 1981-2009 period except financial crisis period. These findings support the hypothesis that firms have more cash holdings less investment-cash flow sensitivity except in financial crisis period. In financial crisis period, cash holdings have no effect on investment-cash flow sensitivity. Second, this paper findings are somewhat different as
.Arslan et al.(2006)`s. Under the financial constraint classification conditions, financially unconstrained firms have more investment-cash flow sensitivity rather than constrained firms have. The reason is that both dividend and firm size are not a complete classification criteria variables. And there exists other possible determinants of investment-cash flow sensitivity. Finally, this paper find that there are common determinants of corporate cash holdings in all periods. This paper suggests that cash flow and market to book ratio are positive determinants of corporate cash holdings but short-term debt, investment and firm size are negative determinants of corporate cash holdings.
A Study on the Impact of Empathy and Creative Personality of a Counselor on the Working Alliance

The study focused on how the end result of working alliance is affected by empathy on each group and creative personality of the counselor on their counsel. In order to do so, the level of working alliance, empathy, and creativeness of the counselor are evaluated on the survey. And the survey and analysis are performed by two different groups; counselors and clients, among 88 pairs of people who had counseled at least more than three times. The conclusion of the study is as follows. First, it has been found that empathy with each group and creative personality of a counselor is partially significantly correlated with the level of working alliance according to the result from both groups. Second, the consequence of evaluation the empathy of counselor has bigger impact on working alliance in group of counselors. But on working alliance has been affected by empathy for both clients and counselors and creative personality in group of clients. Last of all, level of working alliance has a significant correlation with years of experience and professionalism in group of counselors. However, there was a partially significant correlation between working alliance and professionalism in group of clients.
A study on the Methodology for Vitalization of the Mini-cluster Network in Industrial Parks

The cluster project in Korea has restructured to develop the cluster into a core engine for the pan-regional development policy and connect industrial parks across the country. Korean government has made great efforts to attract research institutes, support organizations and universities in industrial parks and enhance growth potential through a close cooperation network. Especially A mini-cluster is an integrated group joined by companies, universities and research institutes and support organizations. It has been developing business opportunities through industry-academia-research cooperation and providing assistance through network activities. Mini clusters have implemented a variety of network activities. This paper proposed three strategies to accomplish self-sustainable growth of mini-clusters. First of all, mini-cluster needs to provide useful contents that can attract the participation of members. Then it is necessary to promote mini-cluster initiative. Finally, mini-clusters need to make up a cooperative culture.

This study explored effects of spectators` motivation on their satisfaction from culture-art performance. Most studies of performing arts have focused on effects of marketing elements. However, this study first looked at important elements affecting audiences` satisfaction to identify considerations for effective design processes for performing arts. Second this paper examined how audiences` satisfaction affect their stress in order to understand the relationship between audiences` satisfaction and their psychological stability. This study found that emotional satisfaction and rational satisfaction could improve emotional satisfaction, while only emotional motivation could affect aesthetic satisfaction. According to our analysis, emotional satisfaction led to psychological stability and reduced audiences` stress.

This study is to present basic materials to further selection of details of health care service bill and supply resources by analysing the consciousness of radiological technologist and dental hygienist about health care service bill proposed for prevention and early diagnosis of a disease through the improvement of living habit. Subjects were 359 of dental hygienists and radiological technologists investigated from 2010 July to September for three months. As the result, recognition level on health care service bill or its details was less than 30.0% but the opinion that health care service bill is necessary was 78.0%. In its additional item, radiological technologist hope to be maintained currently, and 82.3% of the dental hygienist hope to be added, their prefered additional item was dental disease. A dominant opinion was that dental hygienist and radiological technologist as a service supply personnel were included, and their intention to participate was 8.1 in average. In conclusion, the health care service bill is indispensable, but more systematic study is required based on collecting various opinions about major contents and service provider. Particularly it is inevitable to include the health human resources such as experienced dental hygienist and radiological technologist who had completed the regular course of health education and are having continuous clinical discipline.

Objectives: Using a PHR(Personal Health Record) is very important for the management of chronic disease and health. The young age group in this study was asked to pretend that they were members in the old age group (adult group here after) in order to investigate the recognition level differences in such conditions. Methods: We conducted face to face surveys with two age groups. 131 Adults and 398 University students, from May 11 to 22 in 2009. The questionnaires were composed of 18 items. Results & Conclusion: Adults replied more favorably than University students in using PHR willingness(University group 3.3score, Adults 3.7score) and recommendation(university 3.1score, Adults 3.8score). Adults liked paper PHR (63.2%), whereas, University students favored electronic Personal Health Record (71.1%). University students were highly concerned about disclosing the information(4.5score) of their PHR. They thought the appropriate time of education for PHR is high school or University degree. Therefore, in the future, it is vital that a PHR for young age group should be begun in early education and that an ePHR should be developed.
Comparison of Awareness and Attitude on Suicide of High School Students in Urban and Rural Areas

This study was performed to determine the levels of suicide awareness and attitudes among the high school students in urban and rural areas, and to reveal its related factors. The interviews were performed, during the period from July 1, to July 31, 2009, to the 2,082 students in urban and rural areas. As a results, the suicide awareness rate of subjects was 38.8%, and they were not significant between urban and rural areas. The levels of suicide awareness and attitudes were significantly higher in rural students than that of urban students. The factors affecting suicide awareness in urban areas were living with parents, academic speciality, suicide ideation, suicide attitudes, and sex, argument with parents, suicide ideation and suicide attitudes were affected in rural areas. The factors affecting suicide attitudes in urban areas were academic speciality, suicide awareness, and sex, smoking and suicide awareness were affected in rural areas. In conclusion, the development of suicide prevention programs would required to keep under management of the factors affecting suicide awareness and attitudes such as the factors family and school lifes.

This study aims to make a comparison of educational effectiveness between instructor-centered learning and video self-instruction(VSI) about automatic external defibrillator(AED) for high school girls in order to help select an effective teaching method concerning AED. A total of 59 high school girls (29 for the experimental group, 30 for the control group) in J Province participated in this study from July 7 to 14, 2010. The analysis was carried out by using an SPSS WIN 12.0 Version program. After the AED instruction, the knowledge increased more in the experimental group (1.72) than that in the control group (1.60); self-confidence increased more in the experimental group (1.58) than that in the control group (1.46); and accuracy of technical performance increased more in the control group (5.46) than that in the experimental group (4.20). The experimental group (5.68) was more satisfied with AED instruction than the control group (4.95). Since video self-instruction proved to be more educationally effective than instructor-centered learning in most areas, it is necessary to apply video self-instruction to AED instruction in the future. However, further researches are necessary to see if video self-instruction is effective.
The Long-Term Effects of High-Frequency Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation(TENS) on the Lower Limb Spasticity and the Balance in the Chronic Stroke Patients

The purpose of this study was to investigate effects of the long-term high-frequency transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation(TENS) on the spasticity and the balance in chronic stroke patients. Twenty-six subjects with spasticity over lower limbs were allocated randomly into two groups under standard rehabilitation: (1) TENS group, (2) placebo-TENS group. TENS stimulation was applied on the both the gastrocnemius for 30 minutes, 5 days a week for 4 weeks(100 Hz, 0.25 ms, 2 times sensory threshold). The Modified Ashworth Scale(MAS) and Hand-held manual muscle tester were used to assess the ankle plantarflexor spasticity. Balance function under three conditions was measured by using force-plate and the amount of postural sway was assessed; in (1) the condition of standing with eyes opened, (2) with eyes closed and (3) the condition of standing on unstable surface with eyes opened. Both groups showed significant improvement in spasticity and balance function after treatment for 4 weeks(p<.05). Especially, TENS group showed a significant reduction of spasticity compared to placebo-TENS group(p<.05). These results suggested that additional stimulation of a long-term high-frequency TENS to standard rehabilitation induced an improved balance function and a spasticity reduction. The long-term application of high-frequency TENS will be an effective intervention for reducing spasticity and increasing balance ability in the chronic stroke patients.
The Effect of Make-up Education on Elderly Women`s Life Satisfaction

This study aimed to identify the effect of make-up education on the life satisfaction of elderly women based on a make-up education session for eight weeks from May 28 to July 16, 2010 provided to elderly women aged 60 or above who visited P Seniors` Welfare Center in D city. 80 samples were divided into the experimental group of 40 people and the control group of 40 people based on age and interest in make-up. Their life satisfaction level was identified before the survey. The experimental group received an eight-week make-up education session. In order to verify effects of the make-up education, follow-up tests were conducted toward the experimental and control groups both to compare life satisfaction levels. The make-up education was divided into elegant and natural make-up, make-up to look ten years younger, face-changing make-up, seasonal (spring, summer, autumn, and winter) make-up, make-up for Korean traditional costumes, and party make-up. In each class, students practiced make-up on their face while taking a lecture on theories. After the education, the students found the education satisfactory overall. Based on the results, the life satisfaction of the experimental group who received the make-up education significantly increased (p<0.05), confirming that make-up education affects the life at old age.

The neutrichemical analysis of hempseed from Cheungsam was performed in order to apply hempseed to food industry. Cheungsam hempseed was mainly composed of crude fat (30.52%) and protein (30.02%). The hempseed fat contained about 88% of polyunsaturated fatty acids, and the omega-6 to omega-3 ratio was determined to be approximately 3:1. Hempseed from Cheungsam was rich in essential amino acids. Moreover, hempseed protein from Cheungsam, extracted by acid-base precipitation method, showed free radical scavenging activity. The results suggest that Cheungsam hempseed protein could be utilized as a superior source of protein nutrition.

The effects of suramin may be complex because it can change membrane properties when bound to the lipophorin receptor and affect the rate of DAG transfer. To investigate the lipid uptake via receptor-mediated endocytosis, we treated with endocytosis inhibitors, ammonium chloride and chloroquine. The results show that the transfer process of lipid by lipophorin and fat bodies is receptor-mediated endocytosis.

In this paper, it is analyzed about the mechanical characteristics of pedicle screw system which is a artificial implant for surgery to treatment serious lumbar vertebra diseases. The disk of lumbar vertebra to be fixed by pedicle screw system shows regressive phenomena. But if flexible rod, to give a flexibility(under 6 degree) to fixable disk is applied, it can protect against the degeneration of disk. This research is carried out a mechanical characteristic of pedicle screw system used flexible rod through finite elements analysis, and then flexible rod system was verified about safe movement through compression, tension and torsion test which is the pedicle screw system official recognition test(ASTM F 1717).

The trajectory control for omni-directional mobile robot is not easy. Especially, the tracking control which system uncertainty problem is included is much more difficult. This paper develops trajectory controller of 3-wheels omni-directional mobile robot using fuzzy multi-layered algorithm. The fuzzy control method is able to solve the problems of classical adaptive controller and conventional fuzzy adaptive controllers. It explains the architecture of a fuzzy adaptive controller using the robust property of a fuzzy controller. The basic idea of new adaptive control scheme is that an adaptive controller can be constructed with parallel combination of robust controllers. This new adaptive controller uses a fuzzy multi-layered architecture which has several independent fuzzy controllers in parallel, each with different robust stability area. Out of several independent fuzzy controllers, the most suited one is selected by a system identifier which observes variations in the controlled system parameter. This paper proposes a design procedure which can be carried out mathematically and systematically from the model of a controlled system; related mathematical theorems and their proofs are also given. Finally, the good performance of the developed mobile robot is confirmed through live tests of path control task.

In this paper, the radio propagation path loss prediction simulator in tunnel was developed. It used a image theory method for analysing precise radio propagation path. And it can predict radio propagation path loss in straight and curved tunnels. The simulator can plot realtime radio propagation paths using various parameters which was input by user. And it can simulate from changing transmitter and receiver positions. The predicted path loss of simulator was compared with the measurements in Chunhyun tunnel and confirmed the validity.

We have analyzed the electrical defect detection mechanism using low energy microcolumn on the TFT substrate for TFT-LCD. In this study, we have acquired the SEM images of the various pixel defects for 7-inch TFT substrate by scanning of low energy electron beam in the high vacuum chamber. Futhermore, we have interpreted the defect detection mechanism through the correlations between the SEM images and electrical behaviors of the defective pixels. As a result, we obtained consistent results as the follows. We can confirm that the SEM images using low energy electron beam are significantly affected by the space charge effect.

This research developed chemical flow control system(CFCS) essential for spinner equipment in nano semiconductor manufacturing process under the 100nm to prevent complex process defect due to missing spread after chemical injection. The devices developed in this research, which can be swiftly replaced in case abnormal state element changes or wafer manufacturing defect occurs, are anticipated to improve module yield as well as real-time monitoring on the state element. OFDM Modulation is used for multimedia transmission At Urban Train. Recently the application field about data transmission is expanding the image as well. The case which the number of OFDM carrier is big is advantageous because multipass fading is big 18GHz wireless frequency. Existing WLAN which an ethernet transmission is possible is not suitable to a great distance transmission because number of carrier is 64. In this paper, we developed OFDM modem suitable to transmit broadband data at high speed train. A doppler compensation block added to offset the doppler effect. Therefore, the effectiveness is expected to be very big in field of urban train.
A Study on Design of Smart Home Service Robot McBot II

In this paper, a smart home service robot McBot II is newly developed in much more practical and intelligent system than McBot I which we had developed a few years ago. Thus far, vacuum-cleaners have lightened the burden of household chores but the operational labor that vacuum-cleaners entail has been very severe. Recently, a cleaning robot was commercialized to solve but it also was not successful because it still had the problem of mess-cleanup, which pertained to the clean-up of large trash and the arrangement of newspapers, clothes, etc. Hence, we develop a new home mess-cleanup robot McBot II to completely overcome this problem on real environments. The mechanical design and the basic control of McBot II, which performs mess-cleanup function etc. in house, is actually focused in this paper. McBot II is mechanically modeled in the same method that the human works in door by using the waist and the hands. The big-ranged vertical lift and the shoulder joints to be able to forward move are mechanically designed for the operating function as the human`s waist when the robot works. The mobility of McBot II is designed in the holonomic mobile robot for the collision avoidance of obstacle and the high speed navigation on the small area in door. Finally, good performance of McBot II, which has been optimally desinged, is confirmed through the experimental results for the control of the robotic body, mobility, arms and hands in this paper.

Recently, Our society socioeconomically has faced the sudden changes. The retirement of the baby-boom generation is expected to become mainstream amid the falling birth rate and the aging society at the fastest rate in the world. A Design Technique of Configurable Framework for Home Network Systems

In a home network system, each customer electronic device has the control data format chosen by its manufacturing company and there are various types of digital devices and protocols. Besides the mutual operating environments among the various devices are dissimilar. Affected by the characteristics explained above, home network systems can hardly support the crucial functions, such as data compatibility, concurrency control, and dynamic plug-in. Thus, the home network system shows relatively poor reusability. In this paper, we suggest design technique of configurable framework, which can widely support the variability, to increase the reusability of the home network system. We extract the different parts of the home network system as variation points, and define them as the variability types. We design a structure of configurable framework, and suggest customization technique of configurable framework through selection technique and plug-in technique. Also, we prove the reusability by applying the proposed framework and it methods to real-world home network systems and analyzing the measurement results of these case studies using software metrics. We can expect the proposed approach provides better reusability than the existing them by analyzing those measurement results.
Low-area FFT Processor Structure using Common Sub-expression Sharing

In this paper, a low-area 256-point FFT structure is proposed. For low-area implementation CSD(Canonic Signed Digit) multiplier method is chosen. Because multiplication type should be less for efficient CSD multiplier application to the FFT structure, the Radix-
algorithm is chosen for those purposes. After, in the proposed structure, the number of multiplication type is minimized in each multiplication block, the CSD multipliers are applied for implementation of multiplication. Furthermore, in CSD multiplier implementation, cell-area is more reduced through common sub-expression sharing(CSS). The Verilog-HDL coding result shows 29.9% cell area reduction in the complex multiplication part and 12.54% cell area reduction in overall 256-point FFT structure comparison with those of the conventional structure.
An Off-line Dictionary Attack on Command Authorization in TPM and its Countermeasure

The TPM is a hardware chip for making a trusted environment on computing system. We previously need a command authorization process to use principal TPM commands. The command authorization is used to verify an user who knows a usage secret to TPM chip. Since the user uses a simple password to compute usage secret, an attacker can retrieve the password by evasdropping messages between user and TPM chip and applying off-line dictionary attack. In this paper, we simulate the off-line dictionary attack in real PC environment adopted a TPM chip and propose a novel countermeasure to defeat this attack. Our proposed method is very efficient due to its simplicity and adaptability without any modification of TPM command structures.

This paper designed 3D animation in consideration of young children`s characteristics to stimulate their interest and to be more understandable to them. It was also confirmed that, using the 3D animation contents, young children came to recognize the problem of environment pollution and developed desirable attitude and behavior for protecting the environment. Therefore, this paper suggested the proper environment education activity materials with our environment culture centered to enable teachers to do efficient and practical environment conservation education activities by forming close relationship between teachers and children`s family.

So far, the redundant paths in MINs have been realized by adding additional hardware such as extra stages or duplicated data links. This paper presents a new MIN topology called Hierarchical MIN. The proposed MIN is constructed with 2.5N-4 switching elements, which are much fewer than that of the classical MINs. Even though there are fewer hardware than the classical MINs, the HMIN possesses the property of full access and also provides alternative paths for the fault tolerant. Furthermore, since there is the short cut in HMIN for the localized communication, it takes advantage of exploiting the locality of reference in multiprocessor systems. Its performance under varying degrees of localized communication is analysed and simulated.

This paper discusses a 2D/3D conversion of images using technologies like object extraction and depth-map creation. The general procedure for converting 2D images into a 3D image is extracting objects from 2D image, recognizing the distance of each points, generating the 3D image and correcting the image to generate with less noise. This paper proposes modified new methods creating a depth-map from 2D image and recognizing the distance of objects in it. Depth-map information which determines the distance of objects is the key data creating a 3D image from 2D images. To get more accurate depth-map data, noise filtering is applied to the optical flow. With the proposed method, better depth-map information is calculated and better 3D image is constructed.
Design and Implementation of the Efficient Potted Plants Management System based on Home Network

At most of the home or office, we have planted ornamental plants raised in pots, but it is difficult to follow because of busy life and lack of expertise in plants management. In this paper, we intend to design and implement a home network-based potted plants management system to solve the difficulty of plants management. To attain this end, firstly, we designed the structure of the plants management system, information flows and operation control flows. Secondly, we implemented the system based on designed results. Finally, we verified the implemented system through the functionality test for 10 items. In the results, it is expected that we can manage the potted plants efficiently than existing ornamental plant management systems and home network systems focusing appliances.

Internet banking, electronic financial services and internet telephony service can be available on smart phone recently. In this case, more robust authentication mechanisms should be provided for enhancing security on it. In this study, a facial biometric ID based one-time password generation mechanism is designed and implemented for enhancing user authentication on smart phone. After capturing a facial biometric data using camera module on smart phone, it is sent to server to generate one-time biometric ID. Finally one-time password will be generated by client module after receiving the one time biometric ID based challenge token from the server. Using proposed biometric ID based one-time password mechanism, it is possible for us to provide more secure user authentication service on smart phone for SIP protocol.

This paper proposes an object-oriented software development guidance and an evaluation index for the productivity related to Hibernate 3.2 and iBatis 2.3 in same platform of Spring framework 2.5. Currently in production until the lightweight container architecture, known most commonly used architecture framework is Spring framework. Also intended to increase the productivity of database techniques are ORM. Hibernate and iBatis is an ORM tool is currently being used. In this study, Spring framework 2.5 is based on the framework of the same Hibernate 3.2 and iBatis 2.3 to design and implement the pilot system. In addition, comparison and standardization of software development productivity assessment is to provide guidance.

A lot of problems with information education may be obstacles to the sound development of the information society, but they can`t stop this social change. As the social environment has changed, our viewpoint and teaching methods have been changed. The techniques of the network are the force of this information society, and personal education is needed for a sound future. We should think about the problems and side effects of these changes and work out the teaching and learning methods which are most suitable for our current society. We need to be quick to discover ways to remove the problems of the information society. In this paper, we develop courseware for network etiquette and apply them to the education curriculum.

The former people who made musical instruments used touch devices for sound control. As the first multi-touch system appeared in 1982, the performance of the system has been improved rapidly by many researches. In spite of such performance improvement, the popularization of multi-touch interface was looked difficult. However, in 2007, multi-touch interfaces have become popular with Apple Iphone and people have been able to experience easily multi-touch interface using smart phones. In this paper we propose a general-purpose multi-touch interaction system for multi-touch content producer and market invigoration of multi-touch interface. We show by real field tests that the proposed method has benefits in the aspects of price and performance compared with other techniques.

In this paper, we propose a method of schoolzone safety to the protection and management of accident and crime of school circumstance that it is increased recently. Hence, sensor network based intelligent monitoring module must be considered for schoolzone safety. It is not simple CCTV monitoring, but it means that the ability extension is proposed to monitor the dangerous situation for the risk management. Hence, this paper proposes the design of monitoring module considering various danger situations that can be occurred around the school.

OSEK/VDX is a joint project aiming at an industry standard for ECUs in vehicles and OSEK OS is a real-time operating system that meets OSEK/VDX specifications. In this paper, we suggest an implementation of task switching and interrupt handling mechanisms of OSEK operating system based on ARM processors. Considering the requirements of OSEK OS and characteristics of ARM processor, we have designed task switching and interrupt handling mechanisms. For evaluating the validation of the suggested mechanisms, we have checked the functional correctness on an experimental embedded board with ARM processor and calculated the time of task switching and interrupt handling.

Construction Management service has been consistently growing in both sales and diversified services. On the other hand the market has been solidified owing to monopoly of major companies and considerations of the services have not been sufficient so that construction management could not play a appropriate role of the construction industry. This research is to suggest the improvements of construction management delivery system based on the analysis of the current market. The method conducted was to analyze market survey, literature and statistical review, regulations, considerations and evaluation system. Through the analysis and research, the delivery system of construction management was proven rooms for improvements in regulation, consideration, and evaluation system. and this study presented those as fair as possible. It is hopefully expected that the expansion of CM market, impartial competition, and justifiable services are implemented in the construction industry.

This study was performed to propose a development guide for the periphery of local industrial park in the region of Hongseng-gun located at the mid-west of Chungnam province., which is a representative agrarian society, has been approached to a super-aged society where the region shows a continuous decrease in population, and the composition ratio of old ages is about 17.1%. Also, the region is a period of a low ebb due to the traditional agriculture based industrial structure in producing mainly simple productions. Many local governments in agrarian and fishing regions have been efforted for luring some businesses in their regions by constructing industrial complex competitively in order to solve such structural problems in such local regions. However, in some cases, these efforts cause certain destructions in the local original natural environment due to such development of industrial complex and the decrease in the settlement environment of residents. The objective of this study is to establish a local development plan for building the sustainable and comfortable settlement environments based on the settlement of the residents and the labors in such industrial complex by preventing sprawl developments in the construction of general industrial complex. This study was processed as following procedures. First, this study drew the trend in the change of the local society of H-gun through collecting literatures and analyzing it. Second, this study proposed a proper level of settlement environments required to the development of surroundings in such industrial complex based on the survey of the consciousness of residents using a statistical method. Finally, this study proposed a development guide for the surroundings based on the proposed level of settlement environments.
Analysis of flow change in optimal sewer networks for rainfall characteristics

In this study, the optimal sewer layout model(Lee, J.H., 2010) was applied to verify the reduction effect of urban inundation in the optimal sewer networks, which designed by this optimal model, for various artificial rainfall events in urban areas. Then the optimal model was developed by Lee, J.H. to minimize the peak outflow at outlet in sewer network. The applied rainfall events are two types. One is the rainfall event which the double peak occurs between specific time distance continuously. The other is the continuous rainfall event with specific rainfall intensity. As the result, in two applied rainfall types, the peak outflows at outlet were reduced in the optimal sewer networks which designed the optimal sewer layout model of Lee, J.H.. Therefore, the peak outflow is reduced because the inflows at each manhole are distributed in the whole sewer networks, it`s not delay of inflows by this optimal model.
Estimation of viscosity of by comparing the simulated pressure profile from CAE analysis with the Long Fiber Thermoplastic(LFT) measuring cavity pressure

In this study, we proposed a new method that can estimate viscosity curves of unknown samples or high viscous resins like LFT(Long Fiber Thermoplastics). First, we built the system that could detect the pressure of melt during filling the cavity in a mold. It consists of both pressure sensors which are installed in a mold and the Kit which can convert analog signal to digital signal. The kit measures the melt pressure in mold cavity. We could also simulate the cavity pressure during filling process with commercialized CAE softwares(ex, Moldflow). If the viscosity data in CAE Database were correct, the simulated pressure profile coincided with the measured one. According to our proposed algorithm, we obtained correct viscosity data by iterating the process of comparing the simulated profile with the measured one until both coincided each other. In order to verify this algorithm, we selected well-defined PP resin and concluded that the experimental profile comply with the CAE profile. We could also estimate the optimized viscosity curves for PP-LFT by applying our method.
Study on the rheological properties of PP-SEBS/silicate composites

Polypropylene (PP)-SEBS/silicate composites with PP content of 35, 40, and 45wt% were fabricated by melt compounding at
, using lab scale Brabender mixer. The content of silicate was fixed at 5wt%. The thermal properties of the PP-SEBS/silicate composites were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA). The melting temperature of PP-SEBS compound decreased up to
with SEBS content. TGA result indicates an increase in degradation temperature when the silicate was added in the PP-SEBS compound. The rheological properties of the compounds were measured by dynamic Rheometer. PP-SEBS/silicate composite indicates higher shear thinning and elastic property than PP-SEBS compound. Van Gurp-Palmen analysis was applied in order to certify an increase in elasticity.
Synthesis and Etch Characteristics of Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Hard-Mask Materials

Semiconductor industry needs to have fine patterns in order to fabricate the high density integrated circuit. For nano-scale patterns, hard-mask is used to multi-layer structure which is formed by CVD (chemical vaporized deposition) process. In this work, we prepared single-layer hard-mask by using organic-inorganic hybrid polymer for spin-on process. The inorganic part of hard-mask was much easier etching than photo resist layer. Beside, the organic part of hard-mask was much harder etching than substrate layer. We characterized the optical and morphological properties to the hard mask films using organic-inorganic hybrid polymer, and then etch rate of photo resist layer and hard-mask film were compared. The hybrid polymer prepared from organic and inorganic materials was found to be useful hard-mask film to form the nano-patterns.
A study on the electrical and mechanical properties of PEMFC bipolar plate by thermoplastic composite injection molding process

This research aims to develop polymer composites which can be used for PEMFC bipolar plate by injection molding process. Considering the moldability and stiffness, we used LCP(Liquid crystal polymer) as base resin. In order to improve electrical conductivity and mechanical properties, we chose carbon black, and both synthetic graphite and expanded graphite. The composites with different recipe are prepared for injection molding of PEMFC bipolar plate and CAE(Computer Aided Engineering) analysis was performed to predict melt flow and fiber orientation We did successfully fabricate the ASTM specimens by injection molding, and measure the electrical conductivity of the samples by using four point probe device. We measured mechanical properties such as flexural strength, flexural modulus and Izod impact strength. Conclusively, the electrical conductivity increased with increasing additive concentration, but both flexural strength and Izod impact strength decreased due to the brittle nature of carbon-based additives.
