Application of DMD for Phase Shifting in Moire Topology

The need for rapid and accurate measurement of 3-dimensional objects is increasing due to the paradigmatic shift in manufacturing from mass production to small batch production. A three dimensional measurement technique which can provide the dimensional information of the object manufactured or to be manufactured has been developed. This method is based on phase shifting moire topology. Digital-Micromirror-Device (DMD) has been used in generating phase shifting moire fringes. And the mechanically moving optical components used for phase shifting, which might result in measurement errors, have been replaced by the DMD. Inherent
-ambiguity problem, occurring in the calculation of phase from the light intensity distribution due to the nature of arctangent function, has been overcome by adapting the phase unwrapping method. The advantage of this technique is the easy change of the range and the resolution of the measurement by simply changing the computer generated grid pattern with the appropriate combination of projection lens of various focal length.
Design of Standard Jigs for Drop Tests of OLED Modules

The failure of display modules in cellular phones due to drop impact depends on the materials, stiffnesses and shapes of the phones. In the early development stage of cellular phones, the behavior of the display modules due to drop impact is tested using jigs where the display modules are installed. In this study, jigs of cellular phones for drop impact test of OLED modules were designed. The material, thickness and number and orientation of ribs were considered as design variables. Jigs were designed in a way that responses of modules due to drop impact were similar to those of modules in cellular phones. The maximum principal stresses at the upper glasses of modules were considered as responses, which were analyzed using a commercial software ABAQUS/Explicit. The drop impact analysis at the height of 1.5 meters showed that the responses of OLED module in the developed jig were in a good agreement with those in cellular phone.
Simulation of plate deformation due to line heating considering water cooling effects

Inherent strain method, a hybrid method of experimental and numerical, is known to be very efficient in predicting the plate deformation due to line heating. For the simulation of deformation using inherent strain method, it is important to determine the magnitude and the region of inherent strain properly. Because the phase of steel transforms differently depending on the actual speed of cooling following line heating, it should be also considered in determining the inherent strain. A heat transfer analysis method including the effects of impinging water jet, film boiling, and radiation is proposed to simulate the water cooling process widely used in shipyards. From the above simulation it is possible to obtain the actual speed of cooling and volume percentage of each phase in the inherent strain region of a line heated steel plate. Based on the material properties calculated from the volume percentage of each phase, it should be possible to predict the plate deformations due to line heating with better precision.

The study of the Korean World Cup soccer event sports what is the character`s preference factors were analyzed inductively. For this purpose the following research methods were used. First, the target for the study of the D City 10, 20, 30, 40 respectively 30 patients were sampled. World Cup soccer event of the 12 sports chosen for frequency analysis of characters, the final four characters for the analysis of qualitative data were collected from questionnaires `What aspect of your character do you like this?` that consists of an open survey conducted by Was. As a result, about World Cup chukguk character of the sports people have a preference factors were altered by age, by comprehensively, the Korean people in terms of the five characters and related factors that have in common, which prefer oehyeongseong, internality, Meaningfulness, diversity, and specificity was. Specifically, the `oehyeongseong` the cute look or exercise (soccer) would be good to see such a varied and colorful, with friendly materials, including a preference factor, and `internality` and the friendly and patriotic images, meaning Star `in football and that implies a special meaning was preferred. Finally, the specificity due to the food culture in Korea prefer rooting factors were analyzed.

As R&D cooperation activities with various partners are becoming huge in scale and scope, to achieve successful R&D performance, we need to systematically divide by its characteristics and to stratagemically carry out R&D cooperation activities. In this paper we propose R&D cooperation system between the university and the R&D institute in the geoscience field. The cooperation system can include activities of joint R&D program execution, R&D researcher exchange, R&D infrastructure use, technology commercialization and business exchange. Its system seems to positively affect on R&D performance and when considering the level of innovation as a moderating variable, in the situation of high innovation environment its system is able to positively affect on the R&D performance. For different effects of R&D cooperation activities on individual cooperation performance we can choose proper cooperation activities for R&D cooperation purposes.
A Comparative Case Study of Cost Efficiency DEA Model based on the Farrell_Debreu`s and Tone`s approach

This study pursues to compare the two types of cost efficiency model based on DEA. Two types of DEA are derived by the two different approaches by Farrell_Debreu and Tone. Based on two concepts, Two different DEA model are derived. The characteristics and difference of two are looked up. Based on the simple numerical case, The efficient rates, the rankings, the reference sets are different. The model based on Tone`s approach shows the more cheap attainable target cost level. DEA model set by Tone is superior in measuring cost efficiency, but Farrell_Debreu type DEA model is better to explain data in technical efficiency. So, it is required to use the results of DEA more carefully.
The Successful Process of Technology Commercialization Training Program : Focus on the Absorptive Capacity

The research object is stepwise process of absorptive capacity is important factor to get the successful result of technology commercialization training program. We analyze the relationship between absorptive capacity and educational performance with empirical study to the students who attended the technology commercialization training program. Results show that potential absorptive capacity has positive effect on realized absorptive capacity. Realized absorptive capacity also has the positive effect on educational performance. We conclude the successful technology commercialization training program is based on the stepwise process of absorptive capacity. That means technology commercialization training program will set up based on not functional but stepwise process. Further more, technology commercialization training program must be practical, focusing, interdisciplinary, and repetitive courses.

For a successful international technical cooperation through the government has tried many alternatives. However, international technical cooperation through international exhibitions Activation did not occur yet in our country. In this paper, accompanied by the Germans in 2009 states "Year of Korea" through the international technical cooperation to enable the policy to run the case study suggests implications for the government to find us through the aims of the study. For this paper, the researchers direct 20 to 30 April 2009 Hannover Messe, Germany Visit, officials and Interviews were conducted with officials. This paper consists of five chapters is the total. A Technology Diffusion Model Based on Technology Policy: The Case of Solid-State Lighting Technology Diffusion in the U.S.

Technology policy has a substantial impact on the diffusion of a new technology. This paper uses technology policy as a variable in the general epidemic model to quantify the effects of the policy on technology diffusion. The results obtained in this study, using data on solid-state technology diffusion in the U.S. indicate that technology policy plays a positive role in technology diffusion and provide a firm basis for understanding the relationship between technology policy and technology diffusion through the use of quantitative data.
The Change of Age Structure of Population and the Efficiency of Education Investment

This paper investigates the relationship between the change of age structure of population and the efficiency of education investment, using cross-section of 106 countries. Based on the existing theoretical arguments, we establish a hypothesis concerning the relationship between age structure and education investment efficiency. The regression results suggest that a country`s with a higher ratio of young age to total population results in a lower level of the efficiency of education investment. However, there exists a positive and significant relationship between the ratio of old age to total population and the efficiency of education investment. Therefore, it does suggest that countries experiencing reducing in fertility rate and increasing in expected longevity, such as Korea, not only should be maximized the education efficiency but also contrived for the institutional system for maximization the efficiency of education performance.

Teaching Method using Job Assignment as a Solution on the Adverse Effects of Peer Evaluation in Team-based Learning

This paper suggests a new method for team-based learning which is focusing on the individual job assignment to solve the possible problems of free riders, dysfunctional conflicts, and hostility among students. Especially, it examines that if a method using job assignment could reduce the adverse effects of peer evaluation. This study was executed during one semester. Each team was organized with seven members and an independent job among seven different jobs was assigned to each member. At the end of the semester, it was examined that if individual job assignment had solved the possible problems of free riders, dysfunctional conflicts, and hostility among students. Finally, this study found that a new method of team-based learning using a job assignment lessened a problem of free riders, and reduced dysfunctional conflicts and hostility among students comparing with the peer evaluation method. The suggested method in this paper, which focuses on the job assignment of team project, could improve the efficiency of team-based learning in education course.

This study was to examine the effectiveness of prefrontal Neurofeedback training by observing the pre and post brainwave measurement results of about W kindergarten kids 52 (experimental group 26. comparative group 26) subjects who have shown brain quotient and master ability, in between the months of Mar. 2010 and Nov. 2010. As the brainwaves are adjusted by timeseries linear analysis, the result confirmed the differences of both brain quotient and master ability. The result of the study suggest Neurofeedback technique`s possibility in positively affecting the subjects` brain quotient and master ability.
A Study on the effects of one`s blood type on emotional character and antistress of adults

This study is focused on the effects of one`s blood type on emotional character and anti-stress by comparing each individual`s brain wave. Observed records are from those kids who volunteered for KRIJUS(Korea Research Institute of Jungshin Science)`s brain wave measurement from September 2006 to December 2009. The whole 4636 adult(20-59 age) group consists of 3221 female and 1415 male. Blood types are as follows; A>B>O>AB dominately ordered. The result shown no relations between the blood types of adult and their emotional character. But meaningful difference had been revealed between the blood type and stress resistancy; type O rated higher scores in awarness and stress resistancy then other types, which shows that type O has more ability to redudce its stress. This study revealed meaningful relation between blood types and emotional character among several categoties, while suggesting follow-up researches figuring out more detailed explanations for its effect and genetic role.
The Effect of Neurofeedback Training on Age differences groups in Adolescence

The purpose of this study was to verify the effect of Neurofeedback training on adolescence groups that are different in Age. The experiment was carried out with 90 students who living in Kyonggi-do. From Nov. 2009 to Mar. 2010, each were under training about 20-25 times, 2-3 times a week, during 20 to 50 minutes, was conducted by limiting training. Statistical data collected were processed with the SPSS 12.0. For the purposes of t-test showed that differences in the effects of age. The result, the effects of Neurofeedback training on age difference groups were reflected characteristics of brain`s development in adolescence. The most effective showed in middle school students. Also, Significant effects of Neuofeedback training that were confirmed in attention quotient, Activation quotient, Stress resistence quotient.
Effects of Participation in Korean Traditional Dance on the Acculturative Stress and Life Satisfaction in the Married Immigrant Women

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Korean traditional dance on acculturative stress and life satisfaction in the married immigrant women. The subjects of this quasi-experimental study were two folds as one experimental group and one control group. The subjects of experimental group were randomly composed of Korean traditional Dance. Contrary to this, the subjects of control group included those who neither participated in Korean traditional dance. All statistical analyses and description methods were computed by SPSS window 14.0. The discriminant analysis was used to find changes of the acculturative stress and life satisfaction, ANCOVA. The results of this study were as followings: Frist, there was founded that Korean traditional dance program group significantly decreased their acculturative stress. Second, there was founded that Korean traditional dance program group significantly improved their life satisfaction. It is concluded that Korean traditional dance program is directly and strongly cause and effect relations with the acculturative stress and life satisfaction in the married immigrant women.
A Research on Mediating Effects of absorptive capacity between Financial Information System quality and Financial Performance -Focused on The Community Credit Cooperative

Whereas the early financial information technology invested a large amount of investment on developing and adopting its own new systems. it is now focusing on reducing expenses and improving internal efficiency but applied for securing a company`s competitive advantage considering the long term strategic level. As relevant researches, studies on information system quality and performance are actively going on. In previous research, the relations of the influence on the financial performance by information system quality or absorption capacity have been reviewed. In other words, the information system quality and absorptive capacity, respectively, in the position of the independent variables have been studied as a factor to have a significant effect on financial performance while the research on the relationship between these two variables is lacking. Thus, in this researches, quality of financial information systems and the absorptive capacity, respectively, as independent variables and parameters on the mediating effect on the financial performance were researches. As a result, quality of financial information systems showed a positive effect on the performance of company, the absorption capacity was perfect to play the role of mediating one. However, absorptive capacity as an independent variable has a positive impact on financial performance, but the quality of financial information systems as a parameter was not affected in any manner.
Emotional and Behavioral characteristics of Early Childhood comparing Alpha wave and Beta wave Asymmetry at Prefrontal Lobe and with BIS/BAS

The EEG asymmetry of prefrontal lobe has been researched to analyze the affect such as depression or anxiety and the behavioral characteristics such as BIS(Behavioral Inhibition System)/BAS(Behavioral Activational System) on the basiss of alpha band. However there has been several proposals about the importance of beta asymmetry pointing out the limitation of alpha asymmetry. Here, for 44 numbers of 4-year-old children, by comparing alpha asymmetry and beta asymmetry with BIS/BAS results respectively, we propose the way to classify the characteristics of affect and behavioral trend. We also found that BIS is related with beta-asymmetry, while BAS is related with alpha-asymmetry. As for the affective trait, we use the alpha asymmetry following the other results. Our results seem to be consistent with the other results that the synapse formation of young children is more active at the hemisphere than the right hemisphere.
Relationship Between Job Stress and Psychosocial Stress Among Clerical Public Officers

This study investigated the relationship between job stress and psychosocial stress among clerical public officers in Daejeon City. The self-administered questionnaire survey was administered to 386, during the period between June 1, 2010 and July 31, 2010. As a results, In terms of various levels of psychosocial stresses, 8.8% of the subjects were healthy group, 64.5% were potential stress group, and 26.7% were high risk stress group. On job specifications, the high risk stress group were significantly higher those with higher level of job demand, lower job autonomy and lower colleagues support than their respective counterparts. The level of psychosocial stress was positively correlated with job demand and negatively correlated with job autonomy and social support. Multiple regression analysis revealed that the factors of influence on psychosocial stresses included subjective status of health, satisfaction in work, smoking, leisure activities, past history of visits to medical clinics, social support from colleagues.
Comparison of Accuracy in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation(CPR) between Group with Verbal Order and Group with Non-Verbal Order in Operation of CPR

The purpose of this study is to increase efficiency and accuracy in operation of CPR(Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) through comparing accuracy in CPR between group with verbal order and group with non-verbal order given carrying out CPR. This study performed convenience sampling targeting 62 students(31 people for group with non-verbal order, 31 people for group with verbal order) at university where is located in G Province. Survey period was carried out from October 7, 2010 to October 21. Analytical method was made by using SPSS WIN(Version 12.0). As a result of research, the group with non-verbal order was indicated to be higher in accuracy of CPR on artificial respiration and chest compression in several spheres than the group with verbal order. Based on this, the non-verbal order method needs to try to be applied to performing education and skills of CPR in the future. And, even a continuous research is needed on effectiveness between verbal order method and non-verbal order method in an emergency situation.
The effect of social support on elderly people for rehabilitation at nursing homes

The purpose of this study is investigate the sociology population variable and social support system(emotional, financial, informal and evaluative support) with regards to the death anxiety and provide a basic data to relieve the fear of death in the elderly special nursing service. 300 old people who are living in Daeg-gu city and Kyong-buk province were selected and interviewed under their agreement which they are fully aware of the purpose and the intention of this study. Interviews for study were performed by structured questionnaire which consists of general area(11-question), social support area(emotional support 7-question, financial support 6-question, informal support 6-question and evaluative support 6-question) and death-anxiety(20-question). Statistical analysis was carried out with SPSS 12.0 program, which was applied to descriptive statistics and regression analysis to analyze the questionnaire.
Measurement dose of Dental Panoramagraphy using a Radiophotoluminescent Glass Rod Detector

Exposed dose of a patient was measured by Radiophotoluminescent Glass Rod Detector with a use of a panorama graphic device in dental examination. The effect of exposed dose in optic lens was measured by comparing the different materials of the glasses. Depending on the dental location, the exposed dose distribution was 82.4~2,340uSv. It showed that the maximum difference in dose distribution was over 300%. Thus, when manufacturing the devices, it seemed to require shortening the pre-heat time and additional shielding in order to control the diagnosis and exposed dose. The measurement data of the exposed dose in optic lens was increased 20~75uSv per each test when compared putting on glasses with not wearing. As a result, taking off the glasses is recommended to improve efficiency of the test and minimize the exposed dose during dental panorama graphic examinations.
A Study on the Use of Oral Health Care Devices and the Oral Hygiene in Some Colleges

This study carried out questionnaire survey and experiment on oral hygiene effects according to the actual condition of using oral care products and the amount of toothpaste used targeting 40 freshmen and sophomores in dental hygienics in some universities from November 8, 2010 to November 26. The collected data was analyzed by using SPSS WIN 15.0 program. The following conclusions were obtained. 1. The result of actual condition of toothbrushing is as follows. As the answer of a question about whether or not toothbrushing after every meal at ordinary times, the largest was 47.5% of being average. The occasion of toothbrushing before going to bed at ordinary times was the largest with 47.5%. The daily toothbrushing frequency was 3 times mostly and the general toothbrushing method at ordinary times was a rolling method. The frequency of exchanging toothbrushes for the past 1 year was 3 times, which is the largest with 45.0%. 2. As a result of the actual condition of using oral care products, the majority of students don`t use electric toothbrush, interdental brush, or mouth-rinse except dental floss. Accordingly, there need to be education and promotion with diverse methods so that a patient oneself can prevent oral disease by selecting and using oral care products that are proper for each individual. Also, it was indicated that there is no big difference in oral hygiene effects depending on the amount of toothpaste used. Thus, to avoid wasting toothpaste, we need to educate and promote to use the amount of toothpaste under 0.3g.

The aims of this study is to look for lifetime prevalence of suicide and to identify and compare their risk factors of suicidal ideation group and suicidal planning group. For six monthes from September 2008 to March 2009, researchers of Chungnam province studied 1,400 adults living in 7 cities and counties who are more than nineteen years old. Of those surveyed, suicide ideation, suicide plan and suicide attempt rates were 15.9%, 4.3% and 1.8% each. In conclusion, to prevent and manage suicide behavior effectively, we propose that people with more stress, greater depression, old age, lower quality of life and unemployment should be managed primarily.
The Difference of Grip Strength, Upper Limb Dexterity, and Hand Function according to Light Touch and Thermal Sensory Stimulus

The purpose of this study was to investigate difference between grip strength, upper limb dexterity, and hand function according to touch and heat sensory stimulus. Forty healthy men were recruited. After obtaining subjects characteristics, examined grip strength, upper limb dexterity, and hand function, then we made touch sensory input using soft brush and tried the test again. Next day, we made thermal input using hot pack and did retest, too. The result showed significant differences appeared on every variable in grip strength and upper limb dexterity test (p<.001), and significant differences appeared on every variable except lifting small objects in hand function (p<.01). In conclusion, sensory input is to increase grip strength, upper limb dexterity, and hand function. The thermal sensory input has a tendency to increase grip strength, upper limb dexterity, and hand function than that of touch sensory input in effect of stimulus classification. The application of proper stimulus helps to facilitate upper limb and hand function in rehabilitation and in industrial field. So it is necessary to try more tests of frequency and intensity of stimulus.

The effect of flavonoids on the TREK-1 channel

TREK-1 channel is a member of the two-pore domain potassium (K2P) channel family that is regulated by intracellular pH, membrane stretch, polyunsaturated fatty acids, temperature, and some neuroprotectant agents. TREK-1 channel can influence neuronal excitability by regulating leakage of potassium ions and resting membrane potential. TREK-1 channel has been shown to be overexpressed in prostate cancer cells. Although the importance of these properties, relatively little is known about flavonoid effects in the regulations of TREK-1 channel. The purpose of the study was to screening of flavonoids as the TREK-1 channel modulator using one of electrophysiological techniques such as excised inside-out patch configuration. We demonstrated blocking effect on TREK-1 channel by flavonoids such as epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), curcumin and quercetin in CHO cells transiently expressing TREK-1 channel. The inhibition of TREK-1 channel by quercetin and curcumin was reversible, whereas EGCG was little reversible. Quercetin, EGCG and curcumin decreased the relative channel activity to 73%, 91% and 94%, respectively. The half-inhibitory concentration (IC50) of curcumin, quercetin and EGCG was
in CHO cells expressing TREK-1 channel, respectively. These results indicate that flavonoids might regulate TREK-1 and this regulation might be one of the pharmacological actions of flavonoid in nervous systems and cancer cells.
A study on the variation of severity adjusted LOS on Injry inpatient in Korea

In order to analyze the variation in length of stay(LOS) of injury inpatients, we developed severity-adjusted LOS model using Korean National Discharge In-depth Injury Survey data of Center for Disease Control. Appling this model, we calculated predicted values and, after standardizing LOS using the differences from the actual values, analyzed the variation in LOS. Major factors affecting severity-adjusted LOS of injury inpatients were found to be severity, surgery(or no surgery), age, injury mechanism and channel of hospitalization. Result of analysis of the differences between the actual values and predicted values adjusted by decision tree model suggested that there were statistically significant differences by hospital size(number of beds), type of insurance and location of institution. In order to reduce the variation in LOS, efforts should be exerted in developing nationwide treatment protocol, inducing medical institutions to utilize it, and furthermore systematically evaluating it to reduce the variation continually.

This study was conducted to clarify relationships between BMI and the incidence of hypertension, hyperglycemia and hypercholesterolemia among health checkup examinees. The study sample consists of 3,402 adults aged 30s - 60s years, who underwent health check-up at a university hospital. during the Jan. 2007 to Dec. 2008.As a results, blood pressure level at the base line, ORs(95% CI) of hypertension compared with BMI category of 18.5-22.9(normal group) were 1.7(1.2-3.8) for obesity group I, and 2.9(1.7-6.2) for obesity group II. After adjusting for age and sex, ORs(95% CI) of hypertension compared with BMI category of normal group were 1.3(1.0-1.7) for obesity group I, 1.8(1.3-2.4) for obesity group II. Serum total cholesterol level at the base line, ORs(95% CI) of hypercholesterolemia compared with BMI category of normal group were 1.7(1.5-4.9) for obesity group I, and 2.8(1.8-5.3) for obesity group II. After adjusting for age and sex, ORs(95% CI) of hypercholesterolemia compared with BMI category of normal group were 1.5(1.1-1.9) for obesity group I, and 2.3(1.7-3.1) for obesity group II.
Quality Characteristics of Chungpomook using black garlic extract

The principal objective of this study was to evaluate the quality characteristics of black garlic Chungpomook prepared with different 5 levels(0, 5, 10, 15, and 20%) of black garlic extract. We noted that the luminance and Hunter`s L value decreased, whereas the a and b values increased. With regard to the mechanical properties of the black garlic Chungpomook samples, the more the score of hardness, adhesiveness and gumminess were significantly decreased. But fractuality, (springness and chewiness increased. In color, taste and overall quality, the score of black garlic Chungpomook with 15%(BG3) black garlic extract was significantly increased than those of the all.

The purpose of the dissertation is to offer basic data available for being conducive to application of a training program by comparatively analyzing the players` physical strength, the knee joint, a hip joint, power of the trunk joint and muscle power in order to study isokinetic strength and muscle power between short distance athletes and Taekwondo players. This study measured peak power, %Body weight peak power, always power, and %Body weight peak power targeting 8 male athletes and 8 male Taekwondo players who warmed up 10 minutes before from the test to reduce repulsion and unfamiliarity at the instrument. The power of the knee joint(
/sec), muscle power(
/sec), were measured by using HUNOM(U.S.A). As a result of the physical strength, statistically, short distance athletes were indicated to be better in muscle strength, muscular endurance than Taekwondo players, and there was no significant difference between flexibility, power, and muscular endurance. Although the short distance athletes were indicated to be better in right and left muscle strength of knee joint than Taekwondo player, there was no significant difference and Taekwonde players were indicated to be higher at the right and left muscle power than short distance athletes.

This paper deals with the optimal operation algorithm of SVR(Step Voltage Regulator) which is located with primary feeders and proposes the optimal operation system to evaluate customer voltage. The existing algorithm of SVR adapts the constant sending voltage method, which may cause the power quality problems such as overvoltage and under voltage variations in case where the distributed generations are interconnected with the primary feeders. Therefore, this paper proposes the optimal algorithm of LDC method for SVR using least square method to obtain the optimal setting values. Also, this paper presents the optimal evaluation system based on the former algorithm. The simulation results according to the types and capacities of distributed generations shows the effectiveness.

In this paper, a power factor correction (PFC) control circuit using single stage boundary conduction mode(BCM) for the 400V. 120W LED drive application has been designed. The proposed control circuit is aimed for improvement of the power factor correction and reduction of the total harmonic distortion. In this circuit, a new CMOS multiplier structure is used instead of a conventional BJT(bipolar junction transistor) based multiplier where has a relatively large area. The CMOS multiplier can bring 30 % reduced chip area, competitive die cost in comparison with the conventional BJT multiplier.

3Phase PWM rectifier has become increasingly popular due to its capability of nearly sinusoidal waveform of the input current, and nearly unity power factor operation as a AC/DC rectifier of high capacity telecommunication power supply system. Generally, PI controller is used as a voltage controller of PWM rectifier and voltage controller must be designed to have low overshoot in transient state to get a reliability and stable operation. However, in the application of telecommunication in which load condition is varied very fast, the voltage controller must have a large bandwidth to reduce output voltage variation. The PI controller with large bandwidth arouse the excessive overshoot of the output voltage, and this large output voltage variation degrades the reliability of communication power of the three-phase PWM Rectifier. In this paper, new IP voltage controller for 3 phase PWM rectifier is proposed which has relatively low transient output voltage variation. The improved output characteristics of the transient state voltage responses of the starting and at load changes of the proposed voltage controller are proved by simulations and experiments.
A Active Replica LDO Regulator with DC Matching Circuit

In this paper, an active replica Low-dropout(LDO) regulator with DC voltage matching circuit is presented. In order to match the voltage between replica and output of regulator, DC voltage matching circuit is designed. The active replica low dropout regulator has higher Power Supply Rejection(PSR) than that of conventional regulator. The designed DC voltage matching circuit can reduce the drawback that may be occurred in replica regulator. And using fully active element in regulator can reduce the chip area and heat noise with resistor. As results of HSPICE simulation with 0.35um CMOS parameter, the designed active replica LDO regulator achieves Power Supply Rejection, -28@10Hz better than -17@10Hz of conventional replica regulator without DC matching circuit. And the output voltage is 3V.

To obtain the Si solar cells, the Si-wafers were textured by using the IPA+DI water mixed solution with KOH acids during the various 1~40 minutes at the temperature with
, respectively. The samples were analyzed by the scanning electron microscopy for the surface images and the solar simulation for I-V measurement system. It was researched the correlation between the efficiency of solar cells and the effect of texturing. From the results of the surface images obtained by SEM, the efficiency was increased at the sample textured uniformly, and the efficiency of over etched-samples decreased.
Dynamic Model Based Ratio Calculation of Equivalent Reactance and Resistance of the Bulk Power Systems

This paper proposes the method for more effectively calculating X/R which is the ratio of equivalent reactance(X) and resistance(R) of the bulk power system and analyses the characteristic of X/R values by applying the proposed method to the real bulk power systems. X/R is used to determine the rating of the relay in the bulk power systems and its value has been accepted to be big enough to ignore the equivalent resistance of the bulk power systems. However, X/R is calculated as a big number when only the upper transformer and transmission line are considered. The correct approach to calculating X/R needs to consider all the parameters including generators, transformers, lines and loads. This paper calculates X/R of the bulk power systems using dynamic models which have been used to analyse the power system stability. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by applying it to the test system and X/R values of the real bulk power systems are analyzed. In addition, the dependence of X/R on the closeness of its calculating locations to the generator is verified by using the marginal loss factor which has been used in the electricity market.

In this paper, a PWM current-mode DC-DC boost converter for mobile phone flash application has been proposed. The converter which is operated with 5 Mhz high switching frequency is capable of reducing mounting area of passive devices such as inductor and capacitor, consequently is suitable for compact mobile phones. This boost converter consists of a power stage and a control block. Circuit elements of the power stage are inductor, output capacitor, MOS transistors and feedback resistors. Meanwhile, the control block consists of pulse width modulator, error amplifier, oscillator etc. Proposed boost converter has been designed and verified in a
1-poly 2-metal CMOS process technology. Simulation results show that the output voltage is 4.26 V in 3.7 V input voltage, output current 100 mA which is larger than 25 ~ 50 mA in conventional 500 Khz driven converter when the duty ratio is 0.15.

With information communications and RFID/USN environments merged wire/wireless networks are generalized. In this viewpoint, WAP is used by communication protocol for the data communication in the field of wireless environment. WTLS developed for the secure communications optimize TLS adapted wireless environment in the TCP/IP internet protocol. But WTLS denote WAP security problem, end-to-end problem, and power consumption, etc. Therefore in this paper we proposed WTLS cryptographic algorithm eliminated WTLS disadvantages. Proposed algorithm solved power consumption, calculated complexity, and security problems because it is not unique but hybrid form.
Milestone State Generation Methods for Failure Handling of Autonomous Robots

An intelligent autonomous robot generates a plan to achieve a goal. A plan is a sequence of robot actions that accomplish a given mission by being successfully executed. However, in the complex and dynamic real world, a robot may encounter unexpected situations and may not execute its planned actions any more. Therefore, an intelligent autonomous robot must prepare an efficient handling process to cope with these situations to successfully complete a given mission. Plan repair with milestone states is an efficient method to cope with the situation. It retains the advantages of other plan repair procedures. This paper proposes a regressive method of formulating milestone states and a method of assigning weighting values on conditions that compose a milestone state. The task to repair a plan may employ the weighting values as its job priority. The regressive method formulates less complex milestone states and leads to the conditions of a milestone state to take pertinent weighting values for an efficient handling procedure to repair a plan with milestone states.
Study on Coexistence between WiBro and WLAN in DTV Bands

Mutual Interference scenarios between Wireless Broadband (WiBro) and Wireless LAN (WLAN) in DTV bands are assumed. Co-channel interference and adjacent channel interference are respectively evaluated in terms of carrier to interference ratio (C/I) by using Spectrum Engineering Advanced Monte Carlo Analysis Tool (SEAMCAT) based on the Monte-Carlo simulation method. For the simulation, three frequencies such as 185 MHz, 481 MHz and 687 MHz are chosen. Analysis results indicate that interference situation of using frequency of 185 MHz is the worst case, which requires longer protection distance between WiBro MS and WLAN User Equipment (UE), lower transmit power of WiBro Mobile Station (MS) and WiBro Base Station (BS) and WLAN UE and larger guard band. Comparing to cases of using frequency of 185 MHz and 481 MHz, interference situation of using frequency of 687 MHz is slighter. Therefore, using frequency of 687 MHz is easier for coexistence between WiBro and WLAN. Analysis results can be used as reference and guideline when planning the deployment of WiBro and WLAN in DTV bands.
Analysis of DOA Estimation and Adaptive Beam-forming of MIMO between Linear-circular Array Antennas

In this paper, DOA(direction of arrival) of multiple incident signals received from linear array antenna and circular array antenna, which is based on nonparametric estimation algorithm, and adaptive beam-forming algorithm are studied and analyzed. In nonparametric estimation algorithm, we minimize a regularized objective function for finding a estimate of the signal energy as a function of angle, using nonquadratic norm which leads to supper resolution and noise suppression. And then, DOA is estimated by the signal and noise spatial steering vector, and adaptive beam-forming pattern is improved by weight vectors obtained from the spatial vector. Especially, the discrimination ability of DOA and the adaptive beam-forming ability according to antenna array methods and the number of array elements are compared and considered.
Fuzzy Relevance-based Transcoding for Differentiated Streaming Media Service in the Proxy System

Such problems as delay, congestion, and crosstalk in the proxy system degrade not only QoS (Quality of Service) but responsiveness and reliability of the streaming media service. To solve this problem this paper proposed a FRTP (Fuzzy Relevance-based Transcoding Proxy) mechanism. The proposed FRTP mechanism analyzes fuzzy similarity for partitioned segment versions of media objects to create a FRTG (Fuzzy Relevance-based Transcoding Graph). Created FRTG determines the transcoding for partitioned media object segment versions. Determined transcoding improves DSR (Delay Saving Ratios), CHPR (Cache Hit Precision Ratio), and CHRR (Cache Hit Recall Ratio). The proposed mechanism is simulated to evaluate such performance parameters as DSR, CHPR, and CHRR. Simulation results shows that the proposed mechanism outperforms in DSR, CHPR and CHRR compared with the other existing mechanisms.
Development of a Lane Departure Warning Application on a Smartphone

The purpose of this research is to develop and optimize a lane departure warning application based on a smartphone which can be applicable as a new platform for various mobile information applications. Recently, a lane detection warning system which is a representative application among safe driving assistant solutions is being commercialized. Due to the necessity of powerful embedded hardware platform and its price, its market is still not growing. In this research, it is proposed to develop and optimize a lane departure warning application on iPhone 3GS. OpenCV is used for efficient image processing, and for lane detection a heuristic algorithm based on Hough Transform is proposed. The application was developed under Macintosh PC platform with Xcode 3.2.4 development tools, downloaded to the iPhone and has been tested on the real paved road. The experimental result has shown that the detection ratio of the straight lane was over 90% and the processing speed was 1.52fps. For the enhancement of the speed, a few optimization methods were introduced and the fastest speed was 3.84fps. Through the improvement of lane detection algorithm, additional optimization works and the adoption of a new powerful platform, it will be successfully commercialized on smartphone application market.
A study of analysis and improvement of security vulnerability in Bluetooth for data transfer

During data transmissions via Bluetooth networks, data to be encrypted, or plain text between the application layer and the device layer, can be hacked similar to a key-logger by the major function hooking technique of Windows Kernel Driver. In this paper, we introduce an improved protection module which provides data encryption transmission by modifying the data transmission driver of the Bluetooth device layer, and also suggest a self-protecting scheme which prevents data exposure by various hacking tools. We implement the protection module to verify the confidentiality guarantee. Our protection module which provides data encryption with minimal latency can be expected the widespread utilization in Bluetooth data transmission.

In this paper, discrimination algorithm based on a 2-Dimensional Projection Maps is suggested to find targeted video images. First, 2-Dimensional Projection Maps which is extracting the color characteristics of the video images is applied to extract effectively detrimental candidate frames from the videos, and next estimates similarity between the extracted frames and normative images using the suggested algorithm. Then the detrimental candidate frames are selected from the result of similarity evaluation test which uses critical value. In our experimental test, it is suggested that the results of the comparison between the Color Histogram and the 2-Dimensional Projection Maps technique to detect detrimental candidate frames. Through the various experimental data to test the suggested method and the similarity algorithm, detecting method based on the 2-Dimensional Projection Maps show more superior performance than using the Color Histogram technique in calculation speed and identification abilities searching target video images.
An Energy Consumption Model using Hierarchical Unequal Clustering Method

Clustering method in wireless sensor networks is the technique that forms the cluster to aggregate the data and transmit them at the same time that they can use the energy efficiently. In this paper, I propose the hierarchical unequal clustering method using cluster group model. This divides the entire network into two layers. The data aggregated from layer 2 consisted of cluster group is sent to layer 1, after re-aggregation the total data is sent to base station. This method decreases whole energy consumption by using cluster group model with multi-hop communication architecture. Hot spot problem can be solved by establishing unequal cluster. I also show that proposed hierarchical unequal clustering method is better than previous clustering method at the point of network energy efficiency.

All of the government, private enterprises, and local governments are promoting the spread of electric vehicles to reduce carbon emissions depending on the green growth policy of the government that began in 2009. Due to this background, the prevalence of electric cars is being spread. However, the efficient management and operation through the exchanging information between electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, as well as the development of electric vehicles are essential to disseminate them. In this paper, we present a service framework for exchange of information between electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, and propose a communication method to meet it. To do this, we propose the most appropriate communication method through the performance evaluation by identifying and comparing the existing wireless communication methods can be applied to exchange information between electronic vehicles and EV charging infrastructure.

Because the puretone audiometer is an important medical instrument used to diagnose hearing loss, the IEC and ANSI has been published a specification with which audiometer should comply. This paper describes development of Linux based real-time spectrum analyzer which is dedicated to puretone audiometer. It can measure not only hearing level but also compliance of IEC standard for puretone audiometer such as frequency accuracy, harmonic distortion, pulsed tone, narrow band noise and linearity. We have verified our real-time spectrum analyzer through comparing to commercial product.

Programmers can use the Hardware-Software Co-Designing, in which they design a hardware system and software system simultaneously and then unify them, to design an embedded system. This study analyzes the problems of designing an embedded system and suggests applying the system-level design technique, which uses SpecC technology, as a solution to the problems. Also, it suggests systematic and concrete stepwise refinement by applying Refactoring technology in software engineering as a way to make the use of system-level stepwise refinement.

The schedule management in construction project have been performed independently by two method, WBS base management and CBS based management, However, the integrated management model is needed according to efficiency of construction project management and introduction of new EVMS system of KOREA government. For this purpose, interworking database system is designed through efficient modeling of WBS based management data and CBS based management data and relation establishment between entities in this paper. WBS based management DB consists of 4 entities and CBS based management DB consists of 3 entity and one of the 4 WBS DB entities is used to play interworking role between WBS and CBS, Also, attributes of all entities are well defined so that data consistency, integrity and newest are guaranteed. The designed interworking database model was realized using Nex-Pert Pro and the efficiency of data interworking was proved.
The Comparison Analysis of Welding Techniques in Water Distribution Steel Pipes

The welded connection is known as an essential factor for establishing qualified construction and/or maintenance of wrapped steel pipe. In this study, welded connection conditions in the coated pipes with large diameter (over 700 mm) in Korea water distribution systems were estimated for suggesting technically and economically available welded connection method. For the study analysis, current steel pipe usage and accident cases were investigated. In addition, the characteristics of each welded connection method and automatic or manual connection techniques were also compared and estimated. As results, automatic welded connection method is superior than manual welded connection method in aspect of pure construction cost (average 9%) or pure welded connection cost (average 13.5%). When the poor welding-working situations in Korea are considered such as high tolerance of out-of-roundness in KS regulation, a number of lap joint welded connections, the real cost benefits of automatic welded connection should be much higher than those of manual welded connections.

In this study, computation method of tensile load which develops in tie-bar of reinforced earth, connection strength between tie-bar and eco-block and shear strength of the interface between two eco-blocks were verified by experiments. According to the test results of connection strength test, peak tensile load of D13 deformed bar were close to allowable tensile load of it for situation of infill with soil. In spite of high concentrations of SS(>30mg/l) in July 2010, the water condition of Manripo was fine for swimming as COD data lower than 2.0mg/l in summer continuously. The bloom of phytoplankton or red tide were not occurred in the waters. COD data from the waters of Daechon were lower than 2.0mg/l, except August. Relatively high SS concentrations were the characteristics of Daechon beach and were caused by the effects of mud resuspension. The dominant taxa of phytoplnkton communities were consist of diatoms as the normal groups of neritic sea waters.

The performance of a geothermal heat pump system using carbon dioxide was investigated by the steady-state cycle simulation program developed in this study. A parametric study was carried out in order to investigate the effect of various operating conditions on the performance of the basic cycle without an IHX(internal heat exchanger). The simulation program consists of several Fortran subroutines for simulating indoor and outdoor heat exchangers, compressors, and expansion valves and Visual Basic subroutines for the graphic user interface(GUI) consisted with pre-processor for input data and post-processor for the output data. Refprop V6.01 was used for estimating the thermodynamic properties and equilibrium behaviors of carbon dioxide. The simulation results were validated by comparing experimental data through a series of case studies. The cycle simulation program developed in this work would seem to be a useful tool in optimizing and establishing economical and efficient operating conditions in the
geothermal heat pump system.

Adsorption/desorption characteristics of low concentration methylethylketone(MEK) and toluene vapors in beds packed with activated carbon fibers(ACF) was investigated. Performance of ACF adsorption was characterized by the equilibrium capacity, time to reach equilibrium and desorption efficiency. Experiments were carried out to define the effect of operation variables, such as feed concentration, flow rate, moisture content and bed height. The breakthrough time was shorten with the increase of temperature, flow rate and feed concentration. In addition, an increase of packed height of adsorbents lengthen the breakthrough time. Water qualities in the decentralized water treatment plants do not frequently satisfy the water standard limit, in particular, fluoride and nitrate are notorious for the poor removal. In this study, an electro-adsorption equipped with carbon nonotube (CNT) electrodes were carried out to effectively remove the nitrate and fluoride in the decentralized water treatment plants. Two types of CNT electrodes, coating and sintering electrodes were applied. Coating electrodes were made based on different kinds of binder and sintering electrodes were made based on different sintering temperature. Removal of fluoride and nitrate when the coated electrodes with organic binder were used for electro-adsorption were 46 and 99.9% respectively, which were better performances than the coated electrodes with inorganic binder were used. On the other hand, removal of fluoride and nitrate when the electrodes sintered at higher temperature (
) were 77 and 87% respectively, which were better performances than the electrodes sintered at lower temperature (
). As a consequences, the electro-adsorption equipped with a CNT electrodes could be an potential alternative process for the removal of fluoride and nitrate in a decentralized water treatment plants if proper current density and contact time were applied.
