Performance Analysis of CHP(Combined Heat and Power) for Various Ambient Conditions

The co-generation system consisted of gas a turbine, a steam turbine, heat recovery steam generator and a heat exchangers for district heating was investigated in the present study. A back-pressure steam turbine (non-condensing type) was used. A partial load analysis according to the outdoor temperature in winter was conducted and optimal thermal load and power conditions was examined using the commercial computing software Thermoflex. As a result, under a constant thermal load, the power outputs of gas turbine and overall system increased as an outdoor temperature decreased. On the other hand, the reduction in exhaust gas temperature led to the decrease in output of steam turbine. Considering the portion of gas turbine in overall system in terms of the power output, it can be known that the tendency in power output of overall system was similar to that of the gas turbine.
Study on the Aid Control Algorithm for the Power-Assisted Smart Wheelchair

This paper deals with method to measure the user's driving-will force and to control the power-assisted wheelchair. To solve this problem, we extract the user's driving-will by using the mathematical motor model. And then, we get the linear and angular velocity at the center of the vehicle. Wheel velocities are also measured from center velocity. Finally, power-assisted electric wheelchairs are controlled by these data. Here all processes are verified by simulation.
A Study on the Performance Characteristics of Water Heat Source Heat Pump System using CO

In this study, performance characteristics of a water source heat pump system using
as a refrigerant are investigated experimentally. Cooling and heating capacities and COP of the system are analyzed for various system performance variables such as refrigerant charge, expansion valve opening, compressor frequency and internal heat exchanger. Results show that optimum amount of refrigerant charge and expansion valve opening exists at maximum point of COP curve, and cooling capacity increases but COP decreases with the increase of compressor frequency. When the internal heat exchanger is installed, cooling capacity increases about 4.0% whereas heating capacity decreases about 0.89% compared to the case without internal heat exchanger.

In this study, numerical analyses for slamming impact phenomena have been carried out using a 2-dimensional wedge shaped structure having finite deadrise angles. Fluid is assumed incompressible and entry speed of the structure is kept constant. Geo-reconstruct(or PLIC-VOF) scheme is used for the tracking of the deforming free surface. Numerical analyses are carried out for the deadrise angles of
. For each deadrise angle, variations are made for the grid size on the wedge bottom and for the entry speed. The magnitude and the location of impact pressure and the total drag force, which is the summation of pressure distributed at the bottom of the structure, are analyzed. Results of the analyses are compared with the results of the Dobrovol'skaya similarity solutions, the asymptotic solution based on the Wagner method and the solution of Boundary Element Method(BEM).
Domain Decomposition Method for Elasto-Plastic Problem

This paper describes a domain decomposition method of parallel finite element analysis for elasto-plastic structural problems. As a parallel numeral algorithm for the finite element analysis, the authors have utilized the domain decomposition method combined with an iterative solver such as the conjugate gradient method. Here the domain decomposition method algorithm was applied directly to elasto-plastic problem. The present system was successfully applied to three-dimensional elasto-plastic structural problems.
Development of a Miniaturized Automatic Excavator with Time-Varying Sliding Mode Controller

These excavators have been widely used due to their flexibility in handing various tasks via simple changes of their attachments. Since the performance of manually-operated excavators heavily depend on the operators' skill level, there is a strong need for developing automatic excavators in the industry. In order to achieve such goals, exiting approaches have studied direct modification of existing hydraulic systems in the excavator for feed back control of each link. This paper presents a miniaturized automatic excavator that can be used for the development and demonstration of advanced control algorithm for excavators under a safer environment with reduced cost. Two PCs were installed and connected to the excavator through wireless communications for its control and monitoring. Tracking control of each link using a time varying sliding mode controller was performed through experiments on the developed system to demonstrate its ability.
Vibration Intensity Method to Detect Vibration Source of Rotary Compressor

Vibration intensity (VI) method is used to reduce sound source generated from air-conditioning rotary compressor. Generally VI method is a good tool to find a sound source through vibration power flow. In this paper, the vibrations are measured by using the 3 uni-axial accelerometer from both the shells of the normal compressor and the fault compressor. The VI method successfully found out the sound source position on the surface of the compressor. In addition, the main noise (3kHz ~ 6.3kHz) was deminished by applying the newly designed compressor inner part which is related to the orginal noise source.
Recognition of Business Failure and Sucess of Entrepreneurial Intention of University Students

The main purpose of this study is to find out the attitude of university students on start-up business. The premise of this study is that the recognition on business success and failure is not the same for college students. The focus on this study is analyzing the relations of expectation of students on business start-up and on entrepreneurial intention. The result of the study is as follows. First, the expectation to the business success has positive effect on entrepreneurial intention, while the expectation to the business failure has negative effect on entrepreneurial intention. Second, the negative expectation to the market condition has negative effect on entrepreneurial intention as a control variable. The result of the survey is meaningful that the entrepreneurial intention is affected by the tendency of the business failure factors.
Improving Customer Satisfaction Management using the Satisfied Customer Reclassification based on a 2 Dimension Model of Customer Satisfaction/Dissatisfaction

It is natural phenomenon that, as the level of customer satisfaction index increases, the ratio of satisfied customers increases. However, the effectiveness of practical application of customer satisfaction survey for improving customer satisfaction decreases due to structural limitation on data analysis and the abnormally outnumbered data. To cope with these problems, it is necessary to develop the new methodology to identify the strategy meanings and find the dissatisfied factors of satisfied customers using the satisfied customers reclassification. This study proposes the satisfied customer reclassification method based on 2 dimension model of customer satisfaction/dissatisfactions which is different from the previous one dimension satisfaction model. The experimental results show that satisfaction attributes are different from dissatisfaction attributes and they also have dissimilar roles and functions. With these results it is possible to maximize the customer satisfaction and restrain the customer dissatisfaction through the satisfied customer reclassification and achieve customer satisfaction management eventually.
A mediation model among the political skills, social network and entrepreneurial performance of SEMs entrepreneurs

This is an exploratory study intended to clarify any mutually influential relationship among the political skills, social network and entrepreneurial performance of SMEs entrepreneurs who are known to have the most important influence upon the business performance. The results of this study show that as entrepreneur's social competence, political skills have significant influence on both social network and entrepreneurial performance, and that only some sub-factors of social network have significant influence on entrepreneurial performance. Especially, it was found that the source of weak ties mediates completely political skills and entrepreneurial performance. The above-mentioned results are meaningful in the light of considering any relationship between the capabilities and performance of SMEs entrepreneurs who have critical influence upon performance creation, and also clarifying concretely the bridging role of entrepreneur's social network between his/her social competence, or political skills and entrepreneurial performance. In addition, it is considered that this study has made a theoretical contribution in the light of introducing a concrete and new antecedent variable of political skills and establishing the role of social network, as well as a practical contribution in the light of presenting the real-world information on development of entrepreneur's competence which corresponds to a preparatory stage for performance creation.
Setting the Korean Mandarine Quality Standards based on Consumer Preference Survey

The purpose of this study is to set the Korean mandarine quality standards based on consumer preference survey. Until now the Korean mandarine's quality standards has been based on the fruit size. The Korean mandarine's quality in agricultural cooperative, citrus agricultural cooperative federation, and some agricultural corporation has been selected in accordance with its own brand of quality grade using a non-destruction sorting machine. But, setting the Korean mandarine's quality standards has been based on the convenient and routine method rather than the scientific and objective method, consumer's preference. According to the grade contents, the highest grade brand was required more than sugar
and less than acid 1.0% and the following grade brand was required more than sugar
and less than acid 1.0% uniformally. Thus, in this study, based on the consumers' preference of Korean mandarine, 4-level grades of sugar and 4-level grades of acidity were divided into the total 16-level grades. Based on them, 5-level grades were set.

The Purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of the country image and brand image of product on Chinese consumers' brand attitude and the purchasing behavior. The results of this research are wrapped up as follows : First, the original country image of product is positive related to the product brand image itself. Second, both the country image and brand image of product have positive influences on consumers' brand attitude. Third, Chinese consumers' brand attitude has positive influences on purchasing behavior. Forth, both the country image and brand image of product have positive influences on consumers' purchasing behavior.
Evaluation and Competition Strategy for Korean Industry Clusters

Nowadays, industry clusters have been considered as critical factors for regional competitiveness and economic revitalization. It should be important to evaluate strategic positioning and establish competition strategies for Korean industry clusters. I proposed strategic positioning, identified problems, and established strategic directions by analyzing potential attractiveness based on growth and productivity and retained capabilities of proximity, networks, correlation and revenue increase for 7 regional industry clusters. In addition, I analyzed best practices of global industry clusters to provide implications on establishing competition strategies.
Development of the Evaluation System for Learning Outcomes of Capstone Design Course

This paper introduces a case study on the development of the evaluation system for capstone design course which is usually provided at engineering education program. A capstone design is an engineering education course which aims to improve the students' ability on analysis and design of practical industrial problems by use of overall engineering knowledge which has been learned in undergraduate program. Firstly, this paper provides a literature review on evaluation indices and methods related with a capstone design course. Secondly, the evaluation system for learning outcomes of capstone design course is described. The evaluation system for learning outcomes of capstone design course provided in this paper could be referred by other universities opening a capstone design course, and used to design an evaluation system for internship program or education course which is provided as an industry-academic connection program.

Business relationships can be divided into vertical and horizontal relationships. Relationship between horizontal competitors in the business of business to be done is generally vertical relationship between the main office Suppliers and Contractors says business done. In general, the number of models of business relationships through a lot of things are known. Model consisting of a vertical relationship, but there are not many highlights. In this paper, the vertical relationship problems based on the business model to develop. Vertical relationships include leading industrial electronics, automotive and many industrial tempted to target the automotive industry, but in this paper developed a model to look at. In Chapter 2 the theoretical background needed to develop a process model to examine the vertical relationship between Chapter 3 Features Find out about your business. Followed by Chapter 4 of this paper, the vertical relationship between the core business process model is developed. Finally, Chapter 5 of the study limitations and future research directions are suggested.
A Study on the Awareness of Teacher-Parents of Media Education for Children

This study is to examine how media education is recognized and used in the field of early childhood education. For this, it analyzed awareness and problems of media education by kindergarten teachers and parents and set the following research questions to find out a new alternative of media education for children. First, what are differences in concerns and educational experiences on media education for children by teacher-parents? Second, what are differences in teaching-learning methods on media education for children recognized by teachers-parents? Third, the present study examined problems and effective improvement methods of media education for children with 250 teachers in the field of early childhood education and 250 parents and obtained the following conclusions. The teaching-learning method preferred most by teachers and parents was talking activity and as a result of asking the preferred type of group, it was found that teachers-parents answered small group activity was most ideal and what are to be improved in the media education for children included the extension of teachers' opportunities to have research training and non-establishment of the genral theory of media education in our whole society.
Volatility of Stock and Corporate Performances: Focusing on Kospi Firms

Many researchers have studied to investigate causes of volatility and they have used macro economic variables. This paper defined the volatility as that of stock. Researches on the volatility of stock and corporate performances are not adequate yet. Therefore, this paper estimate the volatility and corporate performances using ROA and Tobin Q. Results show the following suggestions, first, there is negative effect on the volatility of stock when we use ROA as the corporate performances. Second, there is positive effect on the volatility of stock when we use Tobin Q as the corporate performances.
Accuracy Analysis on result of the station of triangulation to secure stable cadastral surveying result -Focusing on Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do-

This study utilized the GPS data of the stations of triangulation of Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do to conduct comprehensive analysis on tolerance level and regional characteristics. Based on this analysis, it was attempted to seek the method to derive more accurate result when further performing cadastral control point surveying for cadastral detail surveying. For the stations of triangulation installed at time of the land survey project, the study result showed that the most results of the stations of triangulation are stable if they were not moved naturally or artificially by themselves. Therefore, it was concluded that the stations of triangulation installed at the time of the land survey project should be preemptively selected for use of the given points when making decision of result of cadastral control point surveying. In addition, if the result of the cadastral control point surveying is made decision based on the stations of triangulation presented as the stable result in this study result, it seems that the same surveying result will be maintained and managed at all time, even if they are going to be further reinstalled due to loss of them.
Research on the Effect of Neurofeedback Training on Self Directed Learning Ability of Middle Student

This study aims to identify the effect of neurofeedback training by observing the pre and post brainwave measurement results of about 60(experimental group 30, control group 30) subjects who have shown self directed learning ability. The study took place at neuro-training center B, in between the months of Jan. 2010 and Jul. 2010. As the brainwaves are adjusted by timeseries linear analysis. The result confirmed the differences of both self regulation quotient, training protocol, and questionnaire. The result of the study suggest neurofeedback technique's possibility in positively affecting the subjects' self directed learning ability.

This study was to examine the effectiveness of BGA education program by observing the pre and post brainwave measurement results of about W, S city kindergarten kids 200 (experimental group 100. comparative group 100) subjects who have shown brain quotient, in between the months of Jul. 2010 and Dec. 2010. As the brainwaves are adjusted by timeseries linear analysis, the result confirmed the differences of both brain quotient. The result of the study suggest BGA education program possibility in positively affecting the subjects' brain development.
Comparative Study on the Perception Differences in Selection Criteria Between HR Managers and University Students

Recently the problem of high unemployment rate of college graduate is one of the government's important issues to be solved. Therefore government has been proposed various policies and strategies to solve the problem and also universities are trying to put their best time and efforts to help students to find their decent jobs. In this study, we have compared the differences of new employee selection criteria between corporation's human resource managers and college students which could be one of the reasons of high unemployment rate. Our research shows that there are significant differences between two groups that are considered to be one of reasons of miss matched employment between companies and applicants. Therefore we have suggested how students, companies and universities can solve the problem of different perceptions on the selection criteria and tried to contribute to increase college students' employment.

Due to the economic recession and corporation's growth without more jobs, college graduates unemployment issue has been emerged as a serious social problem. Since the employment rate of each college became an important factor of college evaluation by the government, each college is trying to increase the employment rate of students. Therefore universities are supporting student employment through various policies and programs. However there have been perception differences in intention of employment supporting activities, final results, preparedness, student satisfaction level and overall effectiveness level of program between students and university career center staff members. The perception differences may lead not only to the waste of budget but also ineffectiveness of various programs to promote student employment. Therefore this research proposed new revised efficient employment supporting programs of universities and desirable attitude of students to increase the effectiveness of student employment based on the analysis of perception level on the several issues such as degree of usefulness of program and satisfaction level of students.
Detection of Waterborne Pathogens in Public Bath Houses by PCR-Reverse Blot Hybridization Assay (PCR-REBA)

Contamination of public bath water by waterborne pathogens can cause disease outbreaks and contribute to background rates of disease. The aim of this study is to determine the prevalence of waterborne pathogens in public baths. A total of 30 water samples were collected from 30 different public baths in seoul, Korea. Pathogens in water samples were concentrated by 0.45
nitrocellulose membrane filter, analyzed by both cultivation and polymerase chain reaction-reverse blot hybridization (PCR-REBA) of partial 16S rRNA gene. Various microorganisms including Escherichia coli and Shigella spp. were identified by microbiological cultivation. E. coli, Shigella spp., Salmonella spp., Pseudomonas spp. and Mycobacterium spp. were identified by PCR-REBA. Our results suggest that appropriate hygiene practice and continuous monitoring is needed for reducing health risk associated with public bath houses.
Relationships Between Quality of Sleep and Job Stress Among Nurses in a University Hospital

This study was intended to measure the quality of sleep according to the job stress contents among nurses working for an university hospital. The self-administered questionnaires were given to 482 nurses employed in an university hospital during the period from June 1st to July 31st, 2011. As a results, the quality of sleep was significantly lower in the group with higher job demand, lower job control, lower supervisor and coworker support. In correlation, the level of quality of sleep was positively correlated with job demand, but it was negatively correlated with job control, supervisor and coworker support. In logistic regression analysis, the adjusted odds ratio of the quality of sleep was significantly increased in higher group of job demand than in lower group. But it was significantly decreased in higher group of supervisor and coworker support. The study results may explain that the quality of sleep is independently associated with the job stress contents.
Studies on the Removal of Volatile Organic Compounds in Wastewater using PTMSP/PDMS-PEI Composite Membrane by Pervaporation

In order to improve flux of PTMSP/PDMS dense membrane, PTMSP/PDMS-PEI composite membrane with PEI support was prepared by phase inversion process and dip coating. These membranes were evaluated in terms of the removal of volatile organic compounds such as PCE, TCE, chloroform, 1,1,1-trichloroethane from wastewater by pervaporation. The selectivity and flux of PTMSP/PDMS dense membranes was in the range of 216.2 to 2394.4 and 244.3 to 428.2g/m2h, respectively. And pervaporation property of PTMSP/PDMS-PEI composite membrane was in the range of 215.5 to 2404.2 and 390.4 to 728.6g/m2h, respectively. PTMSP/PDMS-PEI composite membrane has remarkably greater flux than dense membranes with similar selectivity. It was possible for polymeric membranes used in this study to remove PCE selectively which is dissolved small quantity in water among other separable solutes. PTMSP/PDMS-PEI composite membrane showed the best performances among the silicone polymeric membranes, and has better durability and mechanical strength than dense membranes. PTMSP/PDMS-PEI composite membrane should be a useful candidate for the removal of volatile organic compounds dissolved in wastewater.
Characterization of Embryo-specific Autophagy during Preimplantation

Autophagy is an evolutionarily conserved lysosomal pathway for degrading cytoplasmic proteins, macromolecules, and organelles in addition to recycling protein and ATP synthesis. Although autophagy is very important during embryogenesis, the mechanism underlying the dynamic development during this process remains largely unknown. In order to obtain insights into autophagy in early embryo development, we analyzed gene expression levels of autophagy-related genes (ATGs) in mouse embryos developing in vitro. Using real time RT-PCR technique, ATGs including Atg2a, Atg3, Atg4b, Atg5, Atg6, Atg7, Atg9a, and Wipi3, as maternal transcripts, were only up-regulated in 1-cell embryo stage before zygotic genomic activation (ZGA), and then expression decreased from 2-cell to blastocyst embryo stage. ATGs including Dram and Atg9b were expressed abundantly in 1-cell embryo state and in blastocyst embryo stage, athough Atg8 and Ulk1 were constantly expressed during preimplantation stage. However, Atg4d were only up-expressed from 4-cell to blastocyst stage. These results suggest that autophagy is related in mouse embryo, which possibly gives an important role for early development.
A study on the present situation of the treatment services provided by alcohol addiction specialized hospitals

The aim of this study is to take hold of the present situation as well as the perspective of the domestic alcohol specialized hospitals. The structured questionnaire was prepared to understand the type of services, manpower and systematic programs. Among eight hospitals that stand for the alcohol addiction specialized hospitals, six hospitals agreed to participate in the survey, which was made from Jun. 17 to July 15, 2010. The average number of beds of the surveyed hospitals was 208. They were mostly private ones(66.7%), located in urban area(50%), and had experiences of alcohol treatment less than five years(50%). While all of them practiced both the inpatient and outpatient services, only 33% provided the systematic outpatient program that was at least 2 or 3 hours per week. All hospitals practiced the physical and individual psychological evaluations, but only 16.1% had the daytime programs. The beds of protective ward were 72% of all beds, and the beds of night and day occupied 7.6% and 2.6% respectively. It was found that although the average number of mental health social worker and mental health nurse was larger than that required in the regulation of mental health law there are significant deviations between hospitals. However, the manpower of psychiatrists and nurses were comparatively large. The first problem indicated by clinical experts was the patient's refusal of care, which results in an inefficiency in the treatment. The next problem was the lack of local health care institutions that can attend on the discharged patients were important issues. Also the low reimbursement and indifferences to the alcohol abuse were considered as important issues.
The Effects of Dual Task Training on Postural Stability and Balance in Chronic Stroke

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of dual task training on postural stability and balance in chronic stroke patients. A total of 25 ambulatory hemiplegic stroke patients were recruited into this study and randomly assigned into two groups, the dual task training group (n=13) and control group (n=12). Both groups received general physical therapy for 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week during 6 weeks. In addition, dual task training group received dual task training programs for 50 minutes a day, 3 days a week during 6 weeks. The scores of Trunk Impairment Scale (TIS), Postural Assessment Scale for Stroke (PASS) and postural sway with eye opened and eye closed on the Force Plate were assessed before and after intervention. Postural stability and balance significantly improved after training in the dual task training group(p<0.05). The result suggests that dual task training is feasible and suitable for individual with chronic stroke.
An Efficiency Evaluation of Gyeongnam Public Health Center by Data Envelopment Analysis

In this research, we analyzed the efficiency of 20 public health centers of Gyeongnam Province during 2007-2009, so weakness of input and output factor were found. We used the CCR, BCC model of Data Envelopment Analysis as a method of evaluation, made a choice human resource as the input variable, made a selection the performance of public health care center, ward as the output variable. The results of this study show that the efficiency of 20 public health centers have got better because Government and Gyeongnam have provided administrative, financial support. It is expected that this research can give good information for effective management of public health centers.

In Positron Emission Tomography Computed Tomography, Standardized Uptake Value(SUV)is most generally used to discern tumors. However, SUV may be influenced other factors. In this study, experiment was conducted distrotion in image and change in SUV according to substance with GEMINI TF PET/CT of Philips.. SUV for materials resulted in 1.8 for stainless, 1.4 for stent, 2.4 for iodine contrast medium, 2.6 for Barium Sulfate, 1.6 for Gypsum, and 1.4 for paraffin respectively. The distortion of image was remarkable for the iodine contrast medium and Barium Sulfate. For the barium sulfate, the higher the density, the larger the distrotion of the images. As a result of test, it appeared that the metallic substance whose atomic number is low and contrast medium whose concentration is low didn't affect the distortion in image and the change in SUV. However, it tis necessary to minimize distortion in image and change in SUV, by removing the metallic substance and checking if there are contrast mdeium or before examination.

Comparison of Balance Ability between Stable and Unstable Surfaces for Chronic Stroke Patients

This study was to investigate the balancing and clinical abilities using stable and unstable surface of stroke patients who surface changes in balance of body. The subjects of this study were 30 stroke patients(16 males and 14 females). They were separated into two groups and did balance reinforcing exercise on stable and unstable surfaces for five times a week for six weeks. To evaluate their balancing ability, they performed functional standing balance test, functional forward arm stretching test. performance-oriented mobility assessment was performed. The balancing exercises were modified from preceding studies and consisted of 6 difference exercises. The functional standing test with open and close eyes and performance-oriented mobility assessment, the unstable surface exercise group and the stable surface exercise group improved significantly. The forward arm stretching test was the unstable surface exercise group improved. This study found that the balancing exercise on unstable surface was more effective than on stable surface for stroke patients. Thus, exercise on unstable surface has more positive effects on the improvement of balancing abilities of stroke patients.

The purpose of this study is complementing existing flood-reaching timetable by theoretically determined numerical model and suggesting techniques for calculating the exact arrival time of flood. For this, according to the discharge of Namhan River, arrival time measurements, using u-IT technology applied sensor buoys, were performed. Based on the results of measurements, this study proposed complementary relation of average reach time by the discharged water considering tributary inflow, which was not considered established expression. With this study, u-IT based actual technology that is complementing the existing flood forcasting-warning data was developed. Applying this technology to the average reach time calculation by the discharged water, it is expected to reduce flood-oriented damage.

In this paper, we proposes new load-sharing algorism for equal current division using CAN communication. Proposed algorithm is different from conventional analog method, it performed strong Load-sharing using bi-direction high speed communication. Each modules constitution on independence controller (voltage controller, electric current controller). In parallel system prototype, each module have controller and performed load-sharing according to master module integral value. Also additional controller use for getting each module situations that fault situation of module and fault locate of module. we implemented high efficient load-sharing and redundancy. In this paper, we verify the validity of proposed algorithm using PSIM program and prototype.

Electrical Railroads provide electric power, which can operate vehicles, via feeder wires. And the supplied current returns to the transformer substation through lines and ground net. The used load current depending on the operation of rail vehicles in the electric railway sections returns to the substation through a track which is a return circuit. The load current contains harmonics because of the power conversion equipment used in rolling stocks and such harmonic currents should not affect train control system. In this paper we present the test result in order to verify that the harmonics produced by the operation of rail vehicles in the newly built electric railway sections can affect interlocking systems. The test in question was performed in a linking section that trackside equipment under railway operating conditions and interlocking are linked in order to identify whether or not the interlocking fitted in a signal machine room can be affected by harmonics according to railway operation.

This paper introduces new concept elevator door system with linear induction motor(LIM) featuring simple structured and direct drive mechanism, which makes up for the weak points of the conventional complex structured door system. The optimal configuration of linear door system and the design results of linear LIM will be proposed in this paper and the validation of LIM design results will be investigated through the test. In this study, high performance of drive controller applied vector control and optimum drive pattern also are suggested. In addition, this paper describes details of designing and manufacturing process of linear door system and investigates the performance by analysis and test. The analytical and experimental results of this paper are considered as the productive data for the development of new elevator door system.

The modular robots are a kind of system that was developed to overcome the limitation of the movement for the mobile robot with wheels or legs. In legs type mobile robot case, they are limited for velocity and balance during moving at the uneven terrain. In wheeled mobile robot case, they are also limited to overcome dump, stair and so on. The modular robots can overcome moving limitation because of their transforming ability. However, they are researched not only driving mechanism but also combination mechanism. In this paper we proposed four kinds of unique structure for the combination and separation and also its algorithm. Development of Fuzzy Inference Systems for Protection to Electrical Accidents of Laboratory

To prevent the electrical accidents in the laboratory, we identify problems for periodic inspections of the electric field and develop a fuzzy inference system that can be practically applied to check items. Focusing on electrical safety in the lab environment, we draw check items that can be applied in common and develop a standard checklist that is consistent with the laboratory electrical safety and the periodic inspections. Using the standard checklist we select the items that may contain a linguistic ambiguity and define the membership functions for these items. We also have a safety rating defined by the membership function. Using these fuzzy variables we form the fuzzy rules in the form of 'If-Then' and develop a fuzzy inference system through the fuzzy engine. From this, electrical accidents could be prevented in advance continuously by managing the intelligent and efficient inspection and electrical safety to prevent the electrical accidents in the laboratory.

This study proposes the automation of disinfection process in water treat plant to reach target effluent chlorine concentration rate according to chlorine consumption rate by varying travel time. Hydraulic analysis about the process and local facility was surveyed first and the program for automatic operation was developed to solve current problem, whose applied result was presented and proved to be better than present controller. Especially using multi variable process algorithm, the correlation coefficient is analyzed between environment factor and reaction time, and process control prove to be stable through model estimation with optimal control input.
Efficient Channel Assignment Scheme in HiperLAN/2 WLAN

The MAC protocol of HiperLAN/2 is based on TDMA/TDD. The radio channels are assigned by AP(Access Point) that is centrally operated. Mobile terminal that data transmission is necessary to uplink requests radio resource to AP through RCH channels. The changing number of RCHs in each MAC frame is important because too many RCHs may result in a waste of radio resources and too few RCHs may result in many access collisions and prolong time that connect to AP. Therefore, number of RCH should be allocated properly according to traffic. From these viewpoints, this paper proposes an advanced scheme that dynamically changed the number of RCH which is based on the number of success and collision of RR message in previous MAC frame. To prove efficiency of proposed scheme, lots of simulations are conducted and analyzed.

Demands for systemized management of workers' safety systemically in construction sites have been increased. Industrial accidents at work places are often happened by risk factors of construction sites, and also it brings a lot of loss as the correct direction for workers about locations to work is not delivered properly. In this paper, a safety supervision system for construction sites is designed and implemented to figure out the location of workers accurately and to provide the information about the status of works and workers in real-time by personal device which is based on RFID. The system designed in this paper achieved high performance in its function and efficiency through a performance test, compared with existing analogous systems.
An Effective Detection Algorithm of Shot Boundaries in Animations

A cell animation is represented by one background cell, and there is much difference of images when its shot is changed. Also, it does not have a lot of colors since people themselves draw it. In order to effectively detect shot transitions of cell animations while fully considering their intrinsic characteristics, in this paper, we propose a animation shot boundary detection algorithm that utilizes color and block-based histograms step by step. The suggested algorithm first converts RGB color space into HSI color one, and coarsely decides if adjacent frames contains a shot transition by performing color difference operation between two images. If they are considered to have a shot transition candidate, we calculate color histograms for 9 sub-regions of the adjacent images and apply weights to them. Finally, we determine whether there is a real shot transition by analyzing the weighted sum of histogram values. In experiments, we show that our method is superior to others.

The patent information retrieval system can serve a variety of purposes. In general, the patent information is retrieved using limited key words. To identify earlier technology and priority rights repeated effort is needed. This study proposes a method of content-based retrieval using text mining. Using the proposed algorithm, each of the documents is invested with characteristic value. The characteristic values are used to compare similarities between query documents and database documents. Text analysis is composed of 3 steps: stop-word, keyword analysis and weighted value calculation. In the test results, the general retrieval and the proposed algorithm were compared by using accuracy measurements. As the study arranges the result documents as similarities of the query documents, the surfer can improve the efficiency by reviewing the similar documents first. Also because of being able to input the full-text of patent documents, the users unacquainted with surfing can use it easily and quickly. It can reduce the amount of displayed missing data through the use of content based retrieval instead of keyword based retrieval for extending the scope of the search.
An Approximate Query Answering Method using a Knowledge Representation Approach

In decision support system, knowledge workers require aggregation operations of the large data and are more interested in the trend analysis rather than in the punctual analysis. Therefore, it is necessary to provide fast approximate answers rather than exact answers, and to research approximate query answering techniques. In this paper, we propose a new approximation query answering method which is based on Fuzzy C-means clustering (FCM) method and Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS). The proposed method using FCM-ANFIS can compute aggregate queries without accessing massive multidimensional data cube by producing the KR model of multidimensional data cube. In our experiments, we show that our method using the KR model outperforms the NMF method.
A Prediction Search Algorithm in Video Coding by using Neighboring-Block Motion Vectors

There is the temporal correlation of the video sequence between the motion vector of current block and the motion vector of previous block. In this paper, we propose a new prediction search algorithm for block matching using the temporal and spatial correlation of the video sequence and local statistics of neighboring motion vectors. The proposed ANBA(Adaptive Neighboring-Block Search Algorithm) determines the location of a better starting point for the search of an exact motion vector using the point of the smallest SAD(Sum of Absolute Difference) value by the predicted motion vectors of neighboring blocks around the same block of the previous frame and the current frame and use a previous motion vector. Simulation results show that PSNR(Peak-to-Signal Noise Ratio) values are improved up to the 1.06dB as depend on the video sequences and improved about 0.01~0.64dB over MVFAST and PMVFAST.

This study deals with the algorithm to finding the maximum capacity and their schedule of extra freight while honoring planned timetable of trains on railway network. Time-expanded network, a kind of space-time graph, can be shown both planned train timetable and dynamic features of given problem. Pre-processing procedure is a series of infeasible arcs removal from time-expanded network honoring planned timetable. In the result, this preprocessing transforms dynamic features of given problem into static maximal flow problem which can be easily solved.

This paper presents a new Boolean extraction technique for logic synthesis. This method first calculates divisor/2-cube quotients, 2-cube quotient pairs, and 2-cube quotient matrices. Then we find candidates, which can be common sub-expressions, from 2-cube quotients and matrices. Next, candidate intersection provides the common sub-expressions for several logic expressions. Experimental results show the improvements in literal counts over the previous methods.

This study investigated the friction behaviors of rock and grout through the small /large scale laboratory experiments. The small-scale laboratory tests were undertaken using a specially designed and fabricated equipments to simulate the contact surface of rock. In calibration chamber test, a artificial rock mass was prepared in soil container to measure the tensile resistance of grout. Test condition includes the grouting method of pressure involvement. The results of the tests show that the pressure grouting increases the frictional resistance significantly.

As the size of structures become larger by civil and architectural structures becoming large, deeply underground, and high-rise, the conditions of underground foundation vary according to the location that the lack of bearing capacity locally because of ununiform of foundation in some parts is frequent. Generally, when the foundation is not homogeneous, the acquisition of safety through applying the most conservative foundation method possible becomes the focus to secure the stability of the superstructures. It is considered as because of inability to verify the application and stability and application of construction of different foundations through an outlined review because of lack of study in case of different foundation of mixed use of direct foundation and pile foundation. Therefore, through measurement interpretation of the different foundation in which the direct foundation and pile foundation are mixed in use, the grounds in which the hypothetical bearing capacity changes dramatically was modeled to evaluate the applicability of different foundations. Also, based on the results of measurement interpretation, various foundations are created by using plaster, Joomunjin standard soil, and rubble to conduct an indoor model test to compare and analyze the movement of pile foundation and different foundations. Based on such research results, the stability and applicability of the different foundations which is more efficient and economical than the existing foundations in case of grounds in which the bearing capacity changes dramatically by comparing and analyzing the different foundations (direct foundation + pile foundation) with the conservative pile foundation and mat foundation. As a result, when the different foundation is applied, the overall settlement amount increased than the conservative pile foundation. However, the difference was very minute and it has been confirmed to be no issue as a result of assessment of stability of the differential settlement of structures through critical angle displacement.
Analytical Study on the Flexural Strength of CFS Reinforced Concrete Beams under Service Loads

In this study flexural strength of damaged concrete beams reinforced by CFS is analysed. Nonlinear section analysis is used to include stress status of tension bars and compressive concrete under loads acting on the original member at the time of strengthening. Calculated flexural strength is compared with Sin-Hong formula which is frequently used in CFS reinforcement design. Nonlinear analysis with variation of the number of strengthening CFS, the ratio of tensile reinforcement, the ratio of section dimension shows that the flexural strength of CFS reinforced beams much depends on reinforcing stage. From the result of this analysis, the flexural strength of CFS reinforced concrete beam is reduced according to the magnitude of pre-loaded service loads.
The Study on the Neighborhood-type Development and Flat Open Spaces for the Seongbukcheon Restoration

This paper suggests two strategies for the restoration of the Seongbukcheon in Seoul. One is the neighborhood-type development and the other is the construction of the flat open spaces. For the neighborhood-type development, the characteristic of each of the streets which are connected with Seongbukcheon was comprehended and the differentiated approaches for each of them were taken. For the construction of the flat open spaces, the necessity of the flat public open spaces was verified and the strategies for this was suggested.

The redevelopment project implementation difficulties and irregularities of the initial funding has been delayed in Busan. These financing and corruption in order to eradicate the composition of Urban & Residence Environment Improvement Fund. The province's major tax revisions improvement fund finances of City Planning Tax is due to the reduction is difficult to secure additional finances. This study tried to promote the activation of redevelopment in Busan by using Maintenance fund improvement of the institutional constrain As the results of this study, firstly, it is need to convert Metropolitan tax to some urban planning tax in local tax, some improvement fund to general rate among the Metropolitan tax. Secondly, we suggested to support of the practical measures for the operation and maintenance funds systematically, Urban & Residence Environment Improvement Fund the installation and operating ordinance's enactment, to establish a maintenance fund should be operational plan.
Relationship among level of Performance of Tourism, Perception of Effects, and Level of Importance of Tourism industry

This paper examines into the influence of the public servants' perception of tourism industry on their understanding of importance of the tourism industry. For a study, the positive analysis was carried out which the public servants' perception of tourism industry was different in accordance with the satisfaction of tourism policy. The result of the analysis showed that the benevolent influence of the public servants' perception of tourism industry had a significant effect on the satisfaction of tourism policy and the cost of tourist influence had no significance of itself. It has been shown that both the influence of the public servants' perception of tourism effect on their understanding of importance of the tourism industry and that of the benevolence of the tourist influence on the understanding for the importance of tourism industry showed had plus(+) effects. Especially, it has been shown that the influence of the cost of tourist effect on the understanding for the importance of tourism industry had a minus(-) effect.

The purpose of this study is to devise the overall problems (such as, rights and obligations between users, owners, managers regarding commercial rental buildings, benefit/benefit in return, and the relevant regulations and systems) of the building maintenance system through field surveys, expert interviews, and literature reviews. In this rapidly changing society, there are a huge amount of needs for various reforms which can meet the diversity in each area, so it is greatly important to choose priority for the best improvement for efficient and economic expenses due to limited time, human resources and budgets. In this regard, the study extracted the evaluation elements from the devised problems with the viewpoint of BSC, calculated the weights through application of AHP to the extracted evaluation elements, evaluated the difference between before/after application of weights, and set the status, which makes it possible to realize the effective solutions and the reasonable expenses for all parties. By doing so, it is expected that the building maintenance system which maximizes the value and guarantees the user's convenience with smart functions of the building, will be realized in the near future.
