A Study on the Characteristics Analysis of Automotive Ballast System

The mathematical simulation of voltage and current waveform of the discharge lamp is useful for the analysis and design of ballasting circuits. This paper proposes a mathematical model which has lamp power and negative voltage drop in discharge lamp. Simulation applying the proposed model has been done, and the results are compared with the experimental results. Furthermore, in the paper, the ballast components(core, transformer) was designed such that high intensity discharge could be optimized for the automotive, by applying a method simulation based design.
Study on Compression Tests of Aluminum Foam and Honeycomb Sandwich Composites

In this study, in-plane and out-plane compression tests of aluminum foam and honeycomb sandwich composites were carried out. Through these tests, the relationships of load-displacements were analyzed and the compression characteristics were compared with each other. The specimens were compressed with the speed of 1mm/min by using the universal testing machine. Experimental procedures were taken with photograph by the camera and load cell data were stored into computer. Test results showed that buckling was occurred at the aluminum foam core and honeycomb core according to the increase of load. In the in-plane compression test, the maximum load of aluminum foam specimen was similar with that of honeycomb sandwich. The property of honeycomb was better than that of the foam in consideration of specific gravity. In the out-plane compression test, compression maximum load of aluminum honeycomb sandwich composite was higher than that of aluminum foam sandwich composite.
A Study on Heat Transfer Enhancement for a Shear-Thinning Fluid in Triangular Ducts

The prediction of heat transfer and pressure drops in the exchanger passages is a clue to the problem of heat exchanger design. In order to make such predictions for non-Newtonian fluids, it is necessary to know the relation between the viscous properties of the fluid and the wall shear rate in the duct. This study deals with the limits of validity of the power law equation. The useful methodology of the present research involves a consideration of a more general equation which has power law and Newtonian behavior as asymptotes. It isconcluded that use of the power law equation outside of its applicability range can lead to serious errors inpredicting the heat transfer and pressure drops. The present computational results of the friction factors times Reynolds number for shear-thinning fluid flows in a triangular duct are compared with previous published results, showing agreement with 0.13 % in Newtonian region and 2.85 % in power law region. These shear-thinning fluid results also showed the 12% increase of convective heat transfer enhancement compared with Newtonian heat transfer.
A Study on the Costume of Ball Jointed Dolls as Cultural Product with Application of Ladies` Costume Culture from Late Goryeo to Early Joseon

TThis study was undertaken to make trial costumes of ball jointed dolls for promoting the beauty of Korean cultural product with historical research of upper class ladie`s costume from late Goryeo to early Joseon, the very unknown period in the Korean costume history. The ladies` costume from late Goryeo to early Joseon are characterized by their full silhouette, fusion with clothings of Yuan and Ming, revival of early Goryeo styles, well-developed weaving skill of ramie, a showy costume from Buddhist civilization. After investigation of researcher with literature, painting, and relics in 13-14C, 8 clothing items were outsourced totally. Items were formed as a set concept, but consumer can choose each costume as an single item and can make varied mix also. Dart, small ties, and thick fabrics were used in doll costumes partly because ball jointed doll`s body has different characteristics from that of human beings. Developing research of manufacturing company`s system for ready-made product remains to be considered in the future.
Information Asymmetry and Financing Behavior of the Korean Firms

This paper performed empirical tests of the validity of the pecking order theory which explains financing behavior of firms under information asymmetry. The results of regression analyses using the data of listed manufacturing companies in the Korean Stock Market from 1981 to 2010 have shown strong evidences supporting the pecking order theory. Especially regression coefficients of change of debt on funds deficit and control variables were found to be almost (+1) with statistically significance, which is interpreted as being consistent with the pecking order theory. Same results were found when I performed regression analyses by dividing the sample period into pre-currency crisis period, currency crisis period and post-currency crisis period and using 2 regression models. Change of tangible asset were found to function as collateral rather than reducing information asymmetry and as the firm size decreased, use of debt increased and as profitability increased use of debt decreased, which are consistent with the pecking order theory.
A Kinematic analysis on the treadmill gait of children with Down Syndrome

The purpose of this study is to analyze the kinematic characteristics of children with Down syndrome got congenitally joint laxity and muscle hypotonic. The subjects are boys with Down syndrome and don`t have the other disabilities. We got three dimensional position data and then calculated spatiotemporal and kinematic variables during walking on treadmill used increasingly for gait analysis and training. In result, in order to overcome their gait instability due to their musculoskeletal characteristics they walked with hip, knee and ankle joints more flexed than the typical gait pattern, and on the propulsion phase they extend the lower limb joints less than the typical, result in propel the body less than. The reason is that the more is the propulsion by extending the joints, the greater is the reaction force from the ground on heel contact. This result is expected to be used to develop the training program for intensification of musculoskeletal system aim to improve the other musculoskeletal disabilities as well as Down syndrome.
The Effect of Delay on Waiting Anxiety: Focused on Moderating Role of Individual Characteristics Variables

The purpose of the study was to examine an effect of service delay on waiting anxiety and a moderating role of individual characteristics variables(gender, hedonics). The results of the study were as follows. When waiting time was increased, waiting anxiety was also increased. The data also showed a moderating effect of gender between delay and waiting anxiety, but a moderating effect followed by perceptive level of hedonics for service was nonexistent. In conclusion, the study suggested implications followed by the above results, its limitations and tasks to be solved after the study.
A Portfolio Selection Strategy with Consideration of Growth Potential of Corporations

This study presents an efficient strategy for selecting portfolio by evaluating growth potential of a corporation based on dividend. Through preliminary experiments, we extract 4 categories to sort out prospective stocks and develop a scoring table including criteria and formulas used to calculate scores for each category. In order to show the effectiveness of the portfolio selected by scoring table, we constructed 3 portfolios for every 4 years (2007-2010) out of 927 listed companies in KRX and proved that our portfolios are superior to market portfolio in terms of rate of return.
An Exploratory study on the demand for training programs to improve Real Estate Agents job performance -Focused on Cheonan, Chungnam-

Until recently, research trend in real estate has been focused on real estate market and the market analysis. But the studies on real estate training program development for real estate agents to improve their job performance are relatively short in numbers. Thus, this study shows empirical analysis of the needs for the training programs for real estate agents in Cheonan to improve their job performance. The results are as follows. First, in the survey of asking what educational contents they need in order to improve real estate agents` job performance, most of the respondents show their needs for the analysis of house`s value, legal knowledge, real estate management, accounting, real estate marketing, and understanding of the real estate policy. This is because they are well aware that the best way of responding to the changing clients` needs comes from training programs. Secondly, asked about real estate marketing strategies, most of respondents showed their awareness of new strategies to meet the needs of clients. This is because new forms of marketing strategies including internet ads are needed in the field as the paradigm including Information Technology changes. Thirdly, asked about the need for real estate-related training programs, 92% of the respondents answered they need real estate education programs run by the continuing education centers of the universities. In addition, the survey showed their needs for retraining programs that utilize the resources in the local universities. Other than this, to have effective and efficient training programs, they demanded running a training system by utilizing the human resources of the universities under the name of the department of `Real Estate Contract` for real estate agents` job performance. Fourthly, the survey revealed real estate management(44.2%) and real estate marketing(42.3%) is the most chosen contents they want to take in the regular course for improving real estate agents` job performance. This shows their will to understand clients` needs through the mind of real estate management and real estate marketing. The survey showed they prefer the training programs as an irregular course to those in the regular one. Despite the above results, this study chose subjects only in Cheanan and thus it needs to research more diverse areas. The needs of programs to improve real estate agents job performance should be analyzed empirically targeting the real estate agents not just in Cheonan but also cities like Pyeongchon, Ilsan and Bundang in which real estate business is booming, as well as undergraduate and graduate students whose major is real estate studies. These studies will be able to provide information to help develop the customized training programs by evaluating elements that real estate agents need in order to meet clients satisfaction and improve their job performance. Many variables of the program development learned through these studies can be incorporated in the curriculum of the real estate studies and used very practically as information for the development of the real estate studies in this fast changing era.
The Influence of Market Orientation and Creativity on New Product Performance by Technology Innovation Types: Focused on Company of Daejeon

The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of market orientation and creativity on new product performance and to examine whether these factors on new product performance between types of technology innovation. Based on the literature reviews, this study employs five factors in two group of influencing factors, market orientation characteristics and creativity characteristics as key determinants of new product performance. The data have been collected from 136 enterprises and the respondents were person in charge of new product development of each corporation. The results of hypotheses testing through multiple regression analysis are summarized as follows. Firstly, all factors of market orientation and creativity have positive influence upon new product performance. Secondly, in terms of the relationship between market orientation and creativity and new product performance, the results showed significant differences between continuous innovation and discontinuous innovation samples. Based on the findings, implications and directions for future research are discussed.
Developing a teaching practice program for pre-service teachers using a virtual space

The purpose of this research was to develop a teaching practice program using a virtual space for pre-service teachers reflecting the characteristics of both a virtual space and teaching practice. To develop the program, objectives of the developing, methods of a team grouping, conditions for effective practice were analyzed from literature review and preliminary research. In order to evaluate the effects of the constructed program, the program was applied to 99 pre-service teachers of a university in Korea, and the 46 pre-service teachers participated in the evaluating. The results obtained from the evaluation were that the program brought about the positive change of pre-service teachers` cognition on their teaching efficacy. This program is expected to be effectively used in pre-service teacher education program and connected to the field-based teaching practicum.
Relationships Between Job Stress and Psychosocial Stress Among Nurses in a University Hospital

This study was intended to measure the level of psychosocial stress among nurses working for a university hospital and to reveal its related factors. The self-administered questionnaires were given to 450 nurses during the period from October 1st to 31st, 2010. As a results, the level of psychosocial stress was 10.2% in normal group, 64.0% in potential stresses group, and 25.8% in high risk stress group. In correlation, psychosocial stress was positively correlated with job demand, but it was negatively correlated with job autonomy, supervisor and colleague support. For the results of hierarchial multiple regression analysis, the level of psychosocial stress was influenced by the variables of regular exercise, quality of sleep, subjective status of health, shift work, fit to the job, job demand, job autonomy and supervisor support. Especially, the psychosocial stress was higher related with the contents of job stress increased with explanatory powers of 18.1% on the psychosocial stress.
The Effect of Neurofeedback Traing on the hearing impairments Student about Emotional

This study was to examine the effectiveness of neurofeedback training by observing the pre and post brainwave measurement results of about 39(experimental group 25, comparative group 14) student who have shown emotional. The study was examined at S city M dong A hearing impairments student, from Mar. 2009 and to Feb. 2010. The training took place two times a week, for about 40 minutes per session. The tool used to meas ure the psychological reaction was POMS (Profile of Mood State). First, the result confirmed the differences of both attention quotient(L R) and resistance stress quotient(L R). Second,, the results of the analysis show mood state. Therefore, the result of the study shows that there is possibility that NeuroFeedback technique might be positively affecting emotional of the hearing impairments student.
The Effect of the Long-Term Care Worker`s Empowerment on Job Satisfaction, Organizational Commitment and Turnover Intention

This study was designed to inquire into the effect of care worker`s empowerment on job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intention. For this, a survey was carried out on 200 care workers in elderly care facilities located in Chungcheong area from May 16 to May 30, 2011. Analysis showed that their empowerment has a significant impact on the improvement of job satisfaction and organizational commitment, and the reduction of turnover intention. This means that their high empowerment has a high inclination for job satisfaction and organizational commitment, and a low inclination for turnover intention according to the positive job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Consequently, considering their low empowerment, the job productivity and specialty may be eventually raised by improving their empowerment that brings out their own special abilities and merits with individual personality and aptitude, and showing more concerns and consideration for the job.
A Study on Elementary Students` Counseling Services and Needs for Counseling ＆ Their Troubles -the case of elementary schools in Jeollabukdo

The purpose of this study is to investigate the counseling services in elementary school, to analyze counseling needs and the degree of distress or worry, and to provide desirable for counseling. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, the questionnaire as a research tool was used for the respondents, 476 elementary school students in Jeollabukdo. The results were as follows: First, there is a shortage of counseling or its guidance, an experienced counselor, and room for the students. Most of the counseling was taken place only when home room teacher thinks counseling is needed. Second, the students wanted a counselor to listen and understand their problems, preferred women teacher as a counselor, and needed personal advice after class. Third, the degree of worry was higher on female students with siblings, single father, Grade 6, and the low scores. Fourth, each area of worry of the elementary school students showed a positive correlation. The results of this study showed that it is needed to reexamine the administrative and institutional contents and develop a variety of counseling program in order to put the counseling in the elementary school to practical use.
The Mediated Effect of Innovativeness and Customer Orientation among Entrepreneurial Market Orientation, Organizational Effectiveness and Business Performance

In this study, the mediated effect of innovativeness and customer orientation among entrepreneurial market orientation, organizational effectiveness and business performance. For this, a statistical analysis for 419 copies of questionnaires collected from small and medium sized companies. As a result of analysis, first, entrepreneurial orientation was verified to be antecedents of market orientation. Second, it was identified that market orientation played a mediating role among entrepreneurial orientation, innovativeness and customer orientation. Third, entrepreneurial market orientation had positive effect on innovativeness and customer orientation. Fourth, innovativeness and customer orientation had positive effect on organizational effectiveness and business performance. Fifth, innovativeness and customer orientation, the core of this study; had the mediated effect among entrepreneurial market orientation, organizational effectiveness and business performance.
A Study on Analysis of Factors Affecting Technology Transfer Performance of Universities : An Approach to Different Types of Korean Universities

This paper aims to analyze factors affecting technology transfer performance according to different types of Korean universities and to conduct the research for the channel and extent of impact between these factors, utilizing 5 - year data for the technology transfers of 110 universities based on the survey by National Research Foundation of Korea. According to the analysis, incentive for researchers is the most crucial factor in local universities and small & medium-sized private universities located in the capital area. And numerical value of intellectual property rights owned by university is the key factor in universities specializing in science & engineering / industry. Also, Big-sized universities are heavily affected by the number of full-time faculty. In case of private universities, government subsidy relating to patents is critical factor for technology transfer performance. The mean value of all variables is a lot higher in participant universities than non-participant ones in CK(Connect Korea) project. In summary, it is suggested that steady financial support provided by the government is required and that mutual cooperation for industry-university-government is also needed for the commercialization of the technologies held by universities.
Kinetic analysis of the lower limb in visual handicap children

This study was to investigate the difference in gait pattern between the visual handicap children and non handicap children in by analyze the biomechanical variation and pattern of lower limb. Therefore, we have made a choice of four visually handicapped children and two subjects, who had no medical disorder for the last six months. In order to collect the gait pattern data of each group, we have used six infrared cameras and one forceplate Also, we have used QTM program to collect the raw data and Visual3D program to calculate kinetic variable. The results were as follows, An/Posterior GRF of breaking phase and propulsion phase in stance phase was lower in visual handicapped children than that of non handicapped children and breaking phase was longer than propulsion phase. extension moment at the ankle was quite lower than general gait pattern and there was little variation at the knee joint which makes the results differ from the general gait pattern. However, hip joint moment was relatively higher than that of other joints. Mechanical variation of lower limb, in case of foot and shank, showed similar results. but generated very low mechanical energy. In thigh, the form of mechanical energy generation was slightly different in each group but generated more mechanical energy than other segments.
A Study on self-regulated learning ability and English learning achievement for students majoring in the science of nursing and other major

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of self-regulated learning ability on English learning achievement. A survey was conducted to the students majoring different fields of study in order to measure their self-regulated learning ability from March 10, 2010 to June 10, 2010. The result indicates a strong correlation between students` English achievement and self-regulated learning factors such as cognitive, affective, and behavior regulation. The results revealed that instructional, and training interventions should be needed to have significant goal-orientation, to maintain motivation, and to have self confidence from On-line and Off-line blended teaching for the successful English learning.
Satisfaction of Industry Research for the College

In this study, the college`s curriculum and industry satisfaction with graduates were investigated. As a result, the college education of the consumer`s feedback to an education as the basis for the survey was conducted. To this end, a survey of industry conducted and analyzed a result. Questions of the survey are as follows: Foundation for industrial research, the recruitment of new employees, research on skills, basic research on curriculum, and skills related to satisfaction surveys were conducted. According to survey results the average period of employment in manufacturing. Research and development, and public officials, and management in the area has served more than three years. Distribution and service the tourism sector, mainly two years. The major practical difficulty in working theory of scarcity and insufficient foreign language skills, and inter personal relationship. Working in a variety of school curriculum and an emphasis on training relevant and practical by developing a training curriculum and the majors, colleges will improve for the satisfaction.
A Study on Self-Care Agency and Quality of Life in Patients with Heart Valve Surgery

This study aims to survey patients who underwent a heart valve so as to define their self-care Agency and quality of life, as well as the effect of their self-care Agency on their quality of life. One hundred ten outpatients in two university hospitals in the City of D were surveyed using a structured questionnaire. The findings of this study revealed that for the life quality of patients with a surgery of heart valve, out of a total of 4.0 points, self-care Agency was an average 2.71 points, while life quality was an average 2.96 points, showing not so high scores. Impact of Participation in Sport for All on Leisure Satisfaction, Psychological Wellbeing and Subjective Wellbeing

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of participation in sport for all on leisure satisfaction, psychological wellbeing and subjective wellbeing in an attempt to make a contribution to the leisure satisfaction, psychological wellbeing and subjective wellbeing of people enjoying sport for all. The subjects in this study were 200 people who were selected by convenience sampling from a population of male and female adults who participated in sport for all in Gangwon Province. The statistical package SPSS 11.0 was employed to make a frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis and multiple regression analysis. The findings of the study were as follows: First, participation in sport for all had a statistically significant impact on leisure satisfaction. Those who more participated in sport for all expressed more satisfaction with their leisure life. Second, leisure satisfactionexerted a statistically significant influence on psychological wellbeing. Third, leisure satisfaction affected subjective wellbeing in a statistically significant way. The findings of the study indicated that the leisure satisfaction of those who participated in sport for all exercised a great physical and mental influence on themselves. Those who don`t participate in sport for all should steadily be advised to do that, and the national and local governments should develop a wide variety of sport-for-all programs to let everybody lead a better life by enjoying sport for all.

The principal objective of this study was to evaluate the quality characteristics of black ginseng mook prepared with different 5 levels(0, 1, 2, 3, and 4%) of black ginseng extract. We conducted the pH, sugar content, Hunter`s color values, the mechanical characteristics and a sensory evaluation analysis of black ginseng mook. The more black ginseng extract was increased, the sugar contents of black ginseng mook were significantly increased. We noted that the luminance and Hunter`s b values of black ginseng mook samples were decreased the more black ginseng extract was increased, but in Hunter`s a values was reverse. With regard to the mechanical properties of the black ginseng mook samples, the more black ginseng extract was increased, the score of hardness, gumminess and chewiness were significantly decreased, but adhesiveness was increased. In color, taste, flavor and overall quality, the score of 3% black ginseng mook was significantly higher than those of the all.

In this study, we selected ten normal women in their 20`s and 4 weeks measured Exercise Intensity, Voluntary Ventilation, Respiratory Exchange Ratio, Oxygen and Calorie Consumption and Ventilation Equivalent of them during Normal Gait, Splint-equipped Gait and Crutch Gait With Splint in order to find out whether the movement limitation and the weight of orthosis could have an effect on energy consumption. Each gait was conducted at a comfortable speed, 2.74 km/h for 30 minutes equipped with splint whose average weight is 1.2 kg. In the result of the study, The Crutch Gait With Splint showed high Exercise Intensity compaired to Normal Gait and Splint-equipped Gait. In addtion, in The Voluntary Ventilation and Oxygen Consumption, The Crutch Gait showed higher figures than two the others and the difference was significant as well(p<0.05). As for The Calorie Consumption, it also showed higher figures than two the others but the difference was not statistically significant. Finally, in The Respiratory Exchange Ratio and The Ventilation Equivalent, there was no significant difference among three conditional variables.
The Effect of Muscular strength, Sensation, and Spasticity of the Hip Joint on Balance in Chronic Stroke Patients

The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of muscular strength, sensation, and spasticity of the hip joint on balance using clinical tools in chronic stroke patients. Thirty-two subjects participated. It were measured muscular strength of the hip flexor, extensor, abductor, and adductor using manual muscle testing, light touch sensibility, and spasticity of the quadriceps using the modified Ashworth scale in the paretic lower extremity. Also, static and dynamic balance were measured by the functional balance scale. Collected data was analyzed by stepwise multiple regression. Muscular strength of the hip abductor, light touch sensibility, and spasticity were associated with static balance(p<0.05) and explanatory power was 80.5%. Muscular strength of the hip abductor and light touch sensibility were associated with dynamic balance(p<0.05) and explanatory power was 77.9%. Thus, it is suggested that muscular strength of the hip abductor and light touch sensibility is considered when providing evaluation and intervention programs for the future in the balance.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between oral dryness and stress and to collect baseline data for health promotion plan of college students. This research design is correlation study. Data of 835 were collected from May 2 to June 17, 2011, and analyzed using the SPSS PASW Statistics 18.0 Program. There was a statistical significant between oral dryness and perceived health status(p<.001). there were statistical significant in gender(p<.001), age(p<.001), grade(p<.01), major(p<.01), perceived health status(p<.001), exercise(p<.001), smoking(p<.001), drinking(p<.01) between general characteristics and stress. The mean score of oral dryness level was
from 0 to 60 score range. Higher percentage in oral dryness action was "When I swallowing dry food, drink water or beverage"(48.7%). The mean score of stress was
from 0 to 20 score range. Oral dryness level was positively related to stress(p<.01) and oral dryness action(p<.001). It is necessary to develop the educational program for health promotion of college students.

was applied on the spots twice a day, five days a week, for five weeks respectively. The visible whitening effect was evaluated once a week. At the end of the experiment, the animals were sacrificed under anesthetization. The artificial tanning spots were obtained by biopsy punch and stained with HMB-45 to observe the gp100 proteins which were melanosomes. Our results show that cell viability was not reduce at ADEE concentrations between 6.25 and 50
, melanin synthesis and melanocyte dendricity were decreased in ADEE treated melan-a cells increasing ADEE concentration. In the gross observation, ADEE treated groups had lower pigmentation than the vehicle control groups. And in the histological observation, ADEE treated groups had lower melanocytes than the vehicle control groups. Also in the quantitative analysis of the gp100 proteins using image analysis software, ADEE treated groups had a significantly lower value (p<0.001) than the vehicle control group and this resultsagreed with the results of observation under microscope. From these results, weconcluded that ADEE had positive whitening effect.

In order to increase the accuracy and efficiency in measuring obesity conducted outside the hospitals, we examined not only the Body Mass Index and cutoff values of waist circumference of 3,281 adults but also considered their gender, age and various body characteristics. This study included 1,505 males (45.9%) and 1,776 females (54.1%) who visited the comprehensive health checkup center. The average body fat content of male participants was 22.2%, and their Body Mass Index was 24.4kg/
. The average Body Mass Index of female participants was 22.9kg/
. The average of waist circumference of male subjects was 86.2cm while that of female subjects was 76.9cm. The conventional method to measure obesity using BMI and WC only does not reflect the actual body fat which may change according to one`s gender and age. Therefore, for those who visit individual`s place to measure obesity outside the hospitals only based on BMI and WC, we need a new standard to measure obesity more accurately.
Effects of coach confidence on athlete satisfaction and perceived performance in throwers

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of coach confidence on member satisfaction and perceived performance in throwers. The participants were 198 throwers who were competed in the 40th National Athletics Championship. To analyze the data, multiple regression was performed using SPSS 18.0 ver Windows. The results showed that coach confidence of throwers affected significantly on the athlete satisfaction(p<0.05). In other words, the subfactor of coach confidence such as integrity, ability, consistency, sacrifice, and openness affected the subfactor of player satisfaction such as technical analysis, teaching ability, and coaching qualification. And also, coach confidence of throwers affected significantly on the perceived performance(p<0.05). The subfactor of coach confidence such as integrity, ability, consistency, sacrifice, and openness affected the subfactor of player satisfaction such as victory will and skill exhibition. It was concluded that the coach confidence of throwers may affect player satisfaction and perceived performance.

The purpose of this study was to examine the usefulness of MR Breast perfusion image and time-signal intensity curve in patients diagnosed with breast cancer. We selected on 20 patients who were histologically diagnosed to have invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) from March 2009 to December 2010. First, the Breast perfusion mapping image was reconstructed after obtaining the dynamic contrast enhancement image. The reconstructed image measured the slope, maximal relative enhancement, and time to peak on the detail including the lesion region, normal region, back ground region after obtaining the time-signal intensity curve. The lesion region and normal and slope of the back ground part were measured with the quantitive analytical method about the research and the average was compared and was analyze. In the qualitative analysis, the signal strength of each pixel was analyze with the macroscopic and being high it was low, the medium (2) performed the division of (a) by the three-point standard and the average was measured. The findings from the quantitative image analysis are the following: In the lesion region, the slope and maximal relative enhancement were the highestest among and the time to peak was the highestest in the back ground region. In the qualitative analysis, the breast perfusion image showed a diagnostic efficiency.
Awareness level of basic emergency treatment by airline cabin crew

In the event of the emergency patient care, cabin crew must take the charge of the first responder quickly. The basic emergency treatment knowledge of the cabin crew consisted of 80.5%~97.8% when the emergency scene showed up in the passenger and the types of emergency care with that the cabin crew could cope were bleeding control, fever, seizures, myocardial infarction, airway management, and partial airway obstruction management. Considering these cares, the improper emergency types revealed approximately 3.2%~20.0%. In airway obstruction there was followed by loss of consciousness and this led to cardiac arrest. In case of cardiac arrest, the cabin crew must know how to check breathing and to use the automated external defibrillator(AED). The life-threatening cardiac arrest can happen to any passenger in any time, so the cabin crew should meet with the emergency accident and apply the AED to the cardiac arrest victim.

The Electric Power Steering (EPS) has been applied to the vehicles due to its better fuel efficiency, better steering feel, and the compact volume compared to the hydraulic power steering. The brushed PM (Permanent Magnet) DC motors had been adopted in most of the EPS systems until several years ago due to its easy control and a simple hardware configuration of the power converter, but nowadays the BLAC (Brushless AC) motor is becoming more popular for the EPS system because of its high efficiency and long lifetime. This paper reviews the configuration of the EPS system and the BLAC motor and drive technologies based on the papers published recently. The torque ripple reduction for steering feel and the fault detection algorithms for safety are also reviewed.
Log-Periodic Bow-tie Dipole Array(LPBDA) Antenna for UWB Communications

In this paper, a log periodic bow-tie dipole array (LPBDA) antenna for UWB communications is investigated. Bow-tie shaped dipole elements are used instead of general dipole elements for LPDA antennas and the input reflection coefficient and realized gain characteristics of the LPBDA as a function of a flare angle are analyzed. It turns out that as the flare angle of the bow-tie dipole elements is increased, the lowest operating frequency is shifted toward lower frequency and the operating frequency band is increased, but the average gain is decreased. However, the gain variation of the LPBDA is much decreased and the front-back ratio is improved compared to the LPDA. Standard LPDA and LPBDA with a flare angle of 13 degrees are fabricated on an FR4 substrate with a dielectric constant of 4.4 and a thickness of 1.6 mm. Measured gain for the LPDA ranges from 4 to 6.5 dBi at 3.1 to 10.6 GHz band, while that for the LPBDA is in the range of 4.2 to 5 dBi.

Otherwise, 1-layer spiral planar inductors have inductance of 1.5nH over the frequency range of 0.8 to 1.8 GHz, quality-factor of maximum 18 at 8 GHz, SRF of 19.2 GHz.

Electrical Railroads provide electric power, which can operate vehicles, via feeder wires. And the supplied current returns to the transformer substation through lines and ground net. The return current, related to signal, power and power line, and track circuit systems, is one of the most important component in the electric railway. Therefore, to prevent system faults and breakdown according to unbalance and overcurrent of the return current, various and detailed analyses for the return current are needed. In the paper, we present measurement and analysis manners in real environment and evaluate its safety. For analysis, we utilize the measured values of return currents measured in track circuits in electric railway. we expect that this research plays a key role to the related fields.
A Study on Compensation of Amplitude in Multi Pulse

In a MPC coding using excitation source of voiced and unvoiced, it would be a distortion of speech waveform in case of increasing or decreasing of speech signal amplitude in a frame. This is caused by normalization of synthesis speech signal in the process of restoration the multi-pulses of representation section. To solve this problem, this paper present a method of amplitude compensation(AC-MPC) in a multi-pulses each pitch interval in order to reduce distortion of speech waveform. I was confirmed that the method can be synthesized close to the original speech waveform. And I evaluate the MPC and AC-MPC using amplitude compensation method. As a result, SNRseg of AC-MPC was improved 0.7dB for female voice and 0.7dB for male voice respectively. Compared to the MPC, SNRseg of AC-MPC has been improved that I was able to control the distortion of the speech waveform finally. And so, I expect to be able to this method for cellular phone and smart phone using excitation source of low bit rate.

The research of image quality estimation standard and the image quality change according to the network traffic load increase at IPTV multicasting service is necessary because the concern of IPTV(Internet Protocol TV) service become active recently. In the research, for finding out the threshold value of network performance elements giving the effect to the image quality according to the network traffic load, we developed S/W to operate the test bed network and make the test scenario through test bed network test and then we expand the test environment scope to the college network and try to measure the image quality change of IPTV multicasting service according to the network traffic load increase at the college network similar to the real IPTV service environment.

Reliable Multi-Reader RFID identification is one of issues in Multi-Reader RFID realization program in recent. And the Multi-Reader RFID reader has difficulty to obtain reliable data in data capture layer. The reason is that unreliable readings such as a false positive reading and a false negative reading and missed readings can happen by reader collision problems, noise, or the mobility of tagged objects. We introduce performance metrics to solve these reader problems. We propose three solutions the Minimum Overlapped Read Zone (MORZ) with Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI), the Spatial-Temporal Division Access (STDA) method, and double bigger size of tags attached on the object. To show the improvement of the proposed methods, we calculate tag`s successful read rates in a smart office, which consists of Multi-Reader RFID systems.

In surface mount technology, with cellular phones and flat panel displays shrinking in size, the electric goods for making these things are getting smaller as well. Therefore, the technology of mounting components such as 0402 and 0603 Chip is on the rise. The chip mount manufacturing companies have studied the mount technology to prevent the missing insertions or improper insertion. This study suggests arranging the mechanical structure by using fiber sensors to eliminate missing insertions or improper insertions and developing the technology for upgrading system algorithms.
Performance Comparison of Step-Size Update Methods for Modified CMA

Compared to the constant modulus algorithm (CMA), the modified CMA (MCMA) is easy not only to improve the steady-state performance but also to be expanded to higher-order constellations by using fewer moduli with evenly spaced. In this paper, it is shown that the MCMA is sufficient to achieve satisfactory steady-state performance by applying a variable step-size to the MCMA without switching to an hard decision-directed algorithm. Two new methods varying the step-size are proposed, and the performance improvement of the MCMA with the new methods of variable step-size is presented as compared to the CMA and the fixed step-size MCMA through computer simulations.

M2M can provide the bi-directional services between applications and objects which have the attached telecommunication module. It consists of the objects, platform, and (web based) applications. Although many applications of M2M, such as metering, monitoring, controlling, tracking et al., are being serviced, the interoperability among the M2Ms is not considered. The development of computing technology and the increase of using mobile smart devices have brought about changes in our daily life. It makes accessing the internet more easy, and also increases the convenience of our daily life and the variety of information. In this paper, a system for marking the absence using a smart-phone is developed, which is one of the means to increase the convenience of our daily life. Usually the conventional system for the same purpose uses a smart card, so that there are some drawbacks in the system such as attendance by proxy. To compensate the drawbacks, the system proposed in this paper uses a smart-phone belonging to an individual and an instant authentication key to mark the absence that is generated at the time when it is required. It makes the proposed system being more effectively used in marking the absence.

Dynamic development of the Information Communications and Technology is changing countries around the world to establish the e-government to enhance their national administrative system efficiently. This paper proposes the method to implement the e-government efficiently in the developing countries. To reach the goal, the e-government development indices evaluated by United Nations are analyzed to catch the clues to take-off the e-government development stage. In addition, we scrutinize the e-Government Master Plans of Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan and Nepal supported by Korea in order to elicit the priority projects which are the indispensible components on the way of building e-government. We cross-check and standardize the projects which the investigation target countries define respectively. We also analyze the projects which are evaluated by their priorities in compliance with the portfolio method to elicit the road map of the optimum which is able to implement the e-government efficiently with reducing trials and errors.
A Fuzzy Window Mechanism for Information Differentiation in Mining Data Streams

Considering the characteristics of a data stream whose data elements are continuously generated and may change over time, there have been many techniques to differentiate the importance of data elements in a data stream by their generation time. The conventional techniques are efficient to get an analysis result focusing on the recent information in a data stream, but they have a limitation to differentiate the importance of information in various ways more flexible. An information differentiation technique based on the term of a fuzzy set can be an alternative way to compensate the limitation. A term of a fuzzy set has been widely used in various data mining fields, which can overcome the sharp boundary problem and give an analysis result reflecting the requirements in real world applications more. In this paper, a fuzzy window mechanism is proposed, which is adapting a term of a fuzzy set and is efficiently used to differentiate the importance of information in mining data streams. Basic concepts including fuzzy calendars are described first, and subsequently details on data stream mining of weighted patterns using a fuzzy window technique are described.
Classification of Terrestrial LiDAR Data through a Technique of Combining Heterogeneous Data

Terrestrial LiDAR is a high precision positioning technique to monitor the behavior and change of structures and natural slopes, but it has depended on subjective hand intensive tasks for the classification(surface and vegetation or structure and vegetation) of positioning data. Thus it has a couple of problems including lower reliability of data classification and longer operation hours due to the surface characteristics of various geographical and natural features. In order to solve those problems, the investigator developed a technique of using the NDVI, which is a major index to monitor the changes on the surface(including vegetation), to categorize land covers, combining the results with the terrestrial LiDAR data, and classifying the results according to items. The application results of the developed technique show that the accuracy of convergence was 94% even though there was a problem with partial misclassification of 0.003% along the boundaries between items. The technique took less time for data processing than the old hand intensive task and improved in accuracy, thus increasing its utilization across a range of fields.
Comparison and Analysis on the Process of Master Curve Determination for Hot Mix Asphalt

The dynamic modulus of hot mix asphalt is one of the important indicators to evaluate the durability and performance of asphalt pavement. In resent, the dynamic modulus is suggested by a key property of asphalt pavement design and analysis in AASHTO 2002 Design Guide and Korean Pavement Research Project(KPRP). Master curve from laboratory test results should be needed for pavement design and analysis. The process to get the master curve is standardized. But, there are some setup and testing error at low temperature(-

). In this paper, a simplified process which is used 3 testing temperatures (5, 21, 40) is adopted to get the master curve. Comparison was carried out for standard process and simplified process. The suggested process can be used to get the master curve of asphalt pavement, even though some difference was shown at high temperature.
Numerical Study on Ultimate Lateral Resistance of Roots of Vegetation

Numerical analysis were executed in order to investigate ultimate lateral resistance of roots of vegetation. Ultimate lateral resistances of roots obtained from the assumed values of cohesions were distributed between the values of the two kinds of the existing studies. The ultimate lateral resistance values were more close to those by the bearing capacity solution than those by the cavity expansion theory. Coefficient of bearing capacity determined by the numerical analysis was 33. Yielding displacements obtained from the numerical analysis were 0.08~0.29 times of the diameter of the root and those were overall close to the value of the existing study which was undertaken for the pile diameter of 1 cm.

In this study the inelastic behavior of the existing school buildings with infilled masonry walls is analysed by pushover method. The shear stiffness and strength of masonry wall is calculated from the prior experimets and verified by inelastic analysis. The height of infilled masonry wall affects the structural behavior. The higher the masonry wall height, the higher the initial shear stiffness and strength of masonry wall. As the cracks are developed, the strength of masonry wall is much decreased. The proposed inelastic analysis method shows similar results with the experiments and can be used as inelastic analysis model of reinforced concrete buildings with infilled masonry walls.

The advantages of grouting are the simple instrument, the simple procedure of practice and the simple verification of grouting result. but the more grouting practice there is, the more damages of environment from grouting practice and grouting materials there are. so, the grouting materials and methods with the character of environment friendly are introduced in construction field, recently. This paper is to study of the physical characteristics that has thixotropic character and that consists of inorganic and polycarboxylate co-polymer. In study, various testing methods are performed such as a viscosity, a thixotropy, a compressive strength, a heavy metal detection and pH measurement in lab test and a low pressure injection test and a high pressure injection test in field with different soil type. As a result, a optimum mix ratio is proposed by analyzing the result of lab test. the field applicability is verified by checking a injection pressure, a grout volume and a hardened body of grout by excavating the practice site.

In the country with frequent earthquakes like Japan, resistance to earthquake is assessed on the basis that Dam body`s Face slab is destroyed by concentrated stress. In our country this kind of modeling and analysis is not yet definitely established. This paper performed pseudo static analysis and dynamic analysis for CFRD and evaluated reliability with the results of Shaking Table Test. The Seismic coefficient method, modified seismic coefficient method, Newmark method of Pseudo-static analysis and frequency domain response analysis, time domain history analysis of dinamic analysis were used. The analysis results were differ between analysis method, but the trends of acceleration and displacement were good agreement with the results of shaking table test.

Hot spring water is underground water which naturally flows out to the earth`s surface or is drilled for artificially and the water temperature should be higher than the region`s average temperature for the year or underground water temperature of the earth`s shallow strata of the region. Our nation stipulates that hot spring can be called if it is over

Generally, it is widely know that hot spring water has an effect on blood circulation, pain alleviation, soothing, and skin care and that its efficacy is mainly due to water temperature and a variety of minerals contained in water. The Onyang springs are the oldest spring district in our country and one of the most typical hot springs in this country. The current study found that there`s no skin irritation through the skin irritation test applying hot spring water to cosmetic formulas, and that products using Onyang hot spring water showed an increase of 8.56% in epidermal water rate and a decrease of -67.74% in relative transepidermal water loss(TEWL), which indicates that cosmetics using Onyang hot spring water has an effecton skin improvement.

Polypropylene (PP)/talc compounds with talc content of 20wt% were fabricated by master-batch (MB) and direct compounding method using injection molding. The MB was prepared by mini compounder at
and the content of talc was 50wt%. The talc dispersion of the PP/talc compound was investigated by SEM-EDS. The talc was well dispersed within PP matrix in case of the MB-PP compound using MB. The rheological properties of the PP/talc compounds were measured by dynamic Rheometer. The MB-PP compound indicates higher shear thinning and elastic property than direct compound. The disperion of talc was certified by G`-G" plot, and Van Gurp-Palmen analysis was applied in order to certify an increase in elasticity.
Study on Compatibilities between Asphalt and Various Ionomers

In order to select the best compatibilizer for PE/asphalts mixtures, compatibilities of poly(ethylene-co-acrylic acid) and poly(ethylene-co-methacrylic acid) based ionomers with asphalts were investigated via optical microscopy, thermal analysis and rheology. By comparing the polarities of ionomers through an ultimate adsorption of moisture, it was observed that the compatibilities of ionomers increase with the increases of the polarities. By rheological investigations, some of ionomer were observed to be not only compatible but also miscible with asphalts.

In this study, Fenton reaction was studied for the possibility of applying as advanced treatment and its optimal condition for the removal of refractory organics from the dye wastewater. Fenton reaction was applied to remove refractory organics after the bio-treatment (secondary treatment) inside test laboratory and on-site pilot plant. Wastewater from the secondary treatment was used and its
was measured as 30~50mg/L. After the Fenton reaction, the optimal condition was found as pH 3~3.5, reaction time 2~2.5hr, chemical input ratio of (

(35%)) was at its optimal, amount of sludge volume (
) was 21~28%. With pilot plant test, removal rate was heavily influenced by the hydraulic retention time(HRT), and optimum value of HRT was 2.0 hr. When pilot plant(
) was placed on-site and operated continuously, it showed steady and fairly good treatment of COD where COD removal rate was 60~70%, treated water showed below 20mg/L.
