A Study on the Hole-Plan system combined with 3D CAD

It is necessary to construct the process automation system to improve the design efficiency and procure the higher design quality on the field of ship building. To construct this system, the shipbuilding companies should improve the 3D CAD/CAM system customized to the ship design and the software about design information management which could solve the conflict problem between the several related design division at the same time. The typical example is the Hole-plan process in the ship-building design. For the request of additional holes from outfitting division, the hull design division checks the compatibility conditions and reflects these holes to the hull panels if acceptable. if not, the requests are rejected and sent back to the outfitting division. These serial processes are not simple and require the tedious communication, discussion, and the complicated drawings. This article gives a basic introduction to the process of hole-plan system and proposes a strategy to automate its process.
A Study on The Φ 9mm Titanium Alloy Wire

Ti-3Al-2.5V ingot was produced, processed into a titanium alloy wire of 9mm diameter, and the characteristics were studied in comparison with imported material. The ingot satisfied ASTM Grade 9 standard showing oxygen content of 0.11wt% and iron content of 0.085wt%. The hardness of the 9mm diameter titanium alloy was similar to that of the imported material showing values between 225 and 250Hv, and the tensile strength of the imported material was 804MPa while that of the domestic development was 734MPa. The elongation of the imported material was 12% while that of the domestic development was 22%. A new process of manufacturing 9.0mm diameter titanium alloy wire through forging and multi-step hot rolling process out of 400mm diameter ingot was developed.
Development of E-100 Fuel Pump Lower Housing Using Cold Forging Process

Performance and anti-corrosion of cold forged fuel pumps and die-casting fuel pumps have been tested in this study. Ethanol with 10 ppm of acetic acid is applied for the anti-corrosion test for 250 hours. Performance test result shows that the pumping efficiency of the cold forged fuel pump is equivalent to that of the die-casting fuel pump. The cold forged lower housing has better quality against corrosiveness and finer metallic structure than the die-casting lower housing does.
A Study on the Color Usability of Lumino Haptic Device

Haptic device is regarded as the human machine interface technology for easier, more accurate, and intuitive operation. The purpose of this study is to define driver's affection on the haptic device in terms of its design factor : the color of haptic lighting as independent factor. This paper is studied to improve the cognitive ability of existing vehicle haptic device used by only a tactile feedback. On the color feedback usability evaluation, the lmino haptic device is used by adding color feedback to the existing vehicle haptic device. The emotional factor that driver has on the haptic device is extracted by the sensibility analysis. As a result, it is possible to suggest the design direction that satisfies the driver.
A Study on Optimization of Thermal Performance of a LED Head Light for Passenger Cars

Since LED lights have advantages of long life, low-carbon and high efficiency, they have been widely used as household lamps, automotive lighting, traffic lights etc. In this study, MCPCB LED lamps for automotive LED headlights were manufactured and the performance of heat release was optimized. The developed LED headlight satisfied the target thermal performance with heat pipes and fans, and it was also shown that fan life can be prolonged three times by fan on-off control.
A study on the characteristics of wide bandwidth connector for automotive communication

In this paper, helical wave wire have been proposed as the vehicle connector for the wireless access in vehicular environments(5.925GHz) communication. This helical slow wave connector is design by considering the properties of critical parameter like helical mean radius, helical pitch, helical wire radius and distance of helical wire to shield. The design simulation and results can be used to determine the most suitable helical wave wire dimensions for vehicle communication connector. The optimized WAVE connector inserted the helical wave wire has insertion loss less than -0.76dB at 5.925GHz. It provides 31% of insertion loss with good performance. Therefore, the simulated results can be effectively used for optimum design of high frequency connector for vehicle communication.
A Blind Design of Sunlighting Using Total Reflection

The new blind design of sunlighting has been suggested in this study. The material in this blind becomes transparent but the blind has the parabolic edge section having the perpendicular line on a side. The material of this blind is PolyMethly MethAcrylate(PMMA). In this parabolic edge section, the front side of the blind is designed perpendicular to the ground. But the back side is a little tilted to the front side. The rays of reflected sun at the front side can be easily reflected totally by the back side. If the inclination angle in this parabolic edge section at the back side is designed with
, it can transmit the rays of sun when the height of the sun is lower than
. But it can reflect the rays of sun when the height of the sun is upper than
. The suggested design of blind can be applied to the existing blind installation. Although the material in this blind becomes transparent, the rays of sun can be reflected totally at midday. There is also prospect outside of the blind because the material becomes transparent. Several inclination angles in the suggested design have been simulated for the various height of sun. Total reflections have been occurred by the suggested blind design at midday and it can be useful to shut out the sunlight.

This paper on analysis of roundness error after boring turning of Al-6061 materials with CNC lathe. Experiment applying turning parameters is based on experimental design method. A design and analysis of experiments is conducted to study the effects of these parameters on the roundness error using the S/N ratio and analysis of ANOVA. Multiple linear regression analysis is applied to compare experimental with predicted data in consideration of roundness error. To fixation pressure and the opening which are a turning parameter, the cutting depth and feed speed respected the objective attainment of dissertation and to be applied the result they investigated.
A Study on Development of Education System based on PBL for Architectural Structure Engineering

This paper deals with the development of educational system for Architectural Structure Engineering based on PBL(Problem-Based Learning). To develop this educational system, firstly, the eduction process for Architectural Structure Engineering is suggested by reviewing PBL and creativity. The suggested educational system is composed with hardware of structural model and courseware can be utilized in the education process. In this courseware, softwares for testing structures and teaching recommendations are involved. Finally, merits of this system in the real application are suggested and the complementariness are discussed for a future search.
A Study on the Efficient Application for Cadastral Surveying of RTK-GPS

The study conducted the measurement of RTK-GPS with changing the number of observation as the method to differ reference stations of RTK-GPS. Also it aimed to suggest an effective application plan for cadastral surveying based on the accuracy analysis accordingly. According to the result of selecting the study region, observing with different reference stations, and comparing with previous TS performance, the 1st reference station was calculated as
for x-coordinate's RMSE and
for y-coordinate's RMSE, and the 2nd reference station was calculated as
for x-coordinate's RMSE and
for y-coordinate's RMSE. All these results (the 1st and the 2nd reference stations) are allowed as acceptable performance within the margin of error according to the existing cadastral regulations, and there was no significant difference between two performances. Therefore, unless there was no problem in receiving GPS satellite data, it would be possible to secure stable performance enough with 1 observation. Depending on surveying environment that has possible problems in receiving data, however, 2 or more observations would be necessary to secure stable performance.
A Study on Eco-systemic Factors that Effect the Married Immigrant Women's Employment

The purpose of this study is to examine the eco-systemic factors that affect the married immigrant women's employment. The subjects were 229 married immigrant women who live in Ulsan city. Collected date were analyzed through frequency, percentage, and logistic regression analysis. The results are as follows. The factors that affect the married immigrant women's employment are the education level of husband, acquisition of citizenship, Korean language ability, job training experience, and the support of their parent-in-law. According to these findings, intervention strategies that focus on increasing the married immigrant women's employment are suggested.
A Study on Usage and Demand of the Business Simulation Game, and Design of the Course Model

This study has the purpose to increase the suitability for the introduction and operation of the curriculum utilizing business simulation games from university education. So we investigated about the usage in management education department of domestic and foreign universities, institutions target for enterprise level education, and giant companies such as Samsung and LG. We surveyed about the demand of it from college students at the management and engineering departments and then designed two basic course models. As research methods, literature research, on-site experts and operators interview on domestic enterprises and institutions of representative companies was conducted. We analysed the course syllabi of some domestic and about 50 foreign universities utilizing it with the literature review. Then we analysed the result of usage investigation and demand survey. According to the results, the relatively small number of universities and corporate institutions compared to U.S. were utilizing it for their training courses in short-term and partial Lab. Results are expected to be used in the training courses of business administration in universities and corporate.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has been implementing the government's recognition project regarding the program accrediting organizations in Higher Education. This research is to establish an evaluation model for the government's recognition process of the program accrediting organizations, and develop the evaluation categories, items and indices for the model. The research has set the concept for the government's recognition regarding the program accrediting organizations and designed an evaluation model for such organizations. The evaluation model embraces a preliminary evaluation process, assessing an eligibility of the accrediting organizations for the higher education based on the formalities set forth for the government recognition organization accrediting process. It also includes the main evaluation process, which assess the eligibility based on the evaluation standards stipulated in the associated legislation and regulations. In addition, through in-depth verification processes by experts, this research finalized 2 evaluation domains, 5 evaluation categories, 24 evaluation items and 33 evaluation indices.

SME have typically different financial constraints. However, small company need technological innovation in order to survive. The Purpose of this paper is to strengthen their technology innovation of Korean SMEs through international technological cooperation with the EU. This study has six chapters. Section 2 deals with the innovation force about the theoretical background for SME and Chapter 3 is innovation force and international technical cooperation in SME. Chapter 4 consist of methods. And Chapter 5 is the case study of european SMES, which attain enhancing technical innovation through the EUREKA Project. Finally Chapter 6 is discussed conclusions and implications.
The Impact Analysis on the Tourism Satisfaction of Development Approach Factor in Cultural Tourism Destination

The purpose of this study is to identify the impact on the tourism satisfaction of development approach factors in cultural tourism destination. Based upon the results of empirical analysis, the development approach factors in cultural tourism destination such as tourism convenience, tourism activity, tourism potentiality, tourism resources value have high significant correlation with tourism satisfaction. The priority order sets of the impact on the tourism satisfaction of development approach factors in cultural tourism destination should be related to the tourism benefit, the tourism activity, and the tourism resources value. And they can be used to promote the efficiency of cultural tourism development.
Safety Accident Occurrence to Perceptions of Patient Safety Culture of Hospital Nurses

This study is aimed to investigate the relationship among safety accident and perception of patient safety culture, to provide the basic data for building the patient safety culture of hospital nurses. The self-administered questionnaires were given to 129 nurses employed in hospital during the period from November 10th to 15th, 2011. The safety accident occurrence of patient was statistically significant difference according to safety education of nurse and job satisfaction of nurses. As a results, nurses' perception to the patient safety culture of hospital shows on the average score(
). Among three categories, patient safety culture in a ward, and patient safety culture within hospital and safety awareness in a ward show respectively on the average score
. The score of level of patient safety culture of hospital nurses was statistically significant difference according to marital status, safety education, occupational satisfaction and health status. In correlation among safety accident occurrence of patient and safety education of nurse, patient safety culture in a ward, patient safety culture within hospital and safety awareness in a ward showed positive relationship. The results of this study indicate that education program are needed to prevent safety accident occurrence of patient, and to build the patient safety culture of hospital nurses, and to increase the safety education and occupational satisfaction, and to improve the nurses' health status.
An Analysis of Locational Factors to Affect Residential Improvement Projects in Busan Metropolitan City

Busan metropolitan city faced with very low completion rate of residential environment improvement projects. Main reason is to designate proposed residential environment improvement areas without careful analysis of the possibilities of the improvement project completion. This study aims to clarify and analyze the phase characteristics of residential environment improvement process by using 12 variables representing 5 locational characteristics such as place factors, topological factors, size factors, location condition factors and regulation factors. From results of the analysis, this study finds that business floor area ratio, improvement type and site size affect significantly the completion rate of residential redevelopment projects. However, business floor ratio, improvement type, width of frontage road and slope are significant variables to affect the completion rate of residential rebuilding projects.
The Face Color Analysis According to the Kidney Foot Acupressure Stimulation

Human body such as hands, foots and face are related with five organs. Particularly, foots are called 'second cardiac'. In this paper, we should like to analyze changes of facial color according to stimulation kidney associated foot acupressure point. To this end, we collected facial image of before and after of kidney associated foot acupressure point to normal kidney 20s male in 10 then we measured K of CMYK color system with L of Lab color system in JIGAK area associated kidney of facial area. As a result of us experiment, after stimulation of kidney associated foot acupressure point, L is increased and K is decreased in 90% of subjects. Finally, the effectiveness of this paper is demonstrated with several experiments.
Women Immigrants' Satisfaction with Life and Related Variables

This study aimed at identifying the correlation of satisfaction with life and related variables, and the variables influencing the satisfaction with life of women immigrants. The subjects for the study were 108 couple of multicultural families. The main results were as follows. First, women immigrants' satisfaction with life and hope were positively correlated with husbands' hope and satisfaction with life, and negatively correlated with marital conflict. But there were no significant correlation with marital conflict. Second, the result of regression analysis showed that predictors influencing satisfaction with life of women immigrants were women immigrants' agency thinking and husbands' satisfaction with life.
Relationship of Learning Motivation, Self-Directed Learning Ability and Problem Solving Process of Nursing Students after Practice Evaluation of Fundamentals of Nursing Course using Role Play

This study was to investigate the understand learning motivation, self-directed learning ability and problem solving process of fundamentals of nursing course using role play in evaluating the course. The subjects were 289 nursing students in year 1 in J college taking fundamental nursing practice course from Nov. 22 to Dec. 10. 2010. After setting hospital context and preparing scenario with patient and nurse roles, the evaluation of fundamentals of nursing practice was performed. For learning motivation and self-directed learning ability, there were significant differences by application motivation, a group intending further study and a group positive in role play evaluation. For problem solving process, there were significant differences in male group and a group positive in role play evaluation. Learning motivation had significant positive correlation between self-directed learning ability and between self-directed learning ability and problem solving process. This evaluation had correlation between learning motivation, self-directed learning ability and problem solving process.
The Ex-ante and Ex-post Effects of the Price Stabilization Policies on IPO underpricing in KOSDAQ Markets

The price stabilization policies which require the underwriters to maintain post-IPO prices at some level (stabilization duty) or give put-back options to investors, have survived for eight years until June, 2006. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of price stabilization policies upon IPO underpricing in KOSDAQ. The study decomposes the influence of the price stabilization policies on IPO underpricing into ex-ante and ex-post effect. The price stabilization policies have shown to increase the IPO underpricing both at ex-ante and ex post bases. And the ex-ante effect is greater than ex-post effect. Among policies, the price stabilization duty magnifies the underpricing more than put-back option. This study differentiate from the precedented studies by including the whole period in which those policies are in act and by decomposing the IPO underpricing effects into ex-ante and ex-post bases.
A Study on the Harmonization between Financial and Tax Accounting in relation to Borrowing Costs

This study suggests the direction to narrow down the difference between financial and tax accounting in relation to borrowing costs. Accounting for capitalization of borrowing costs under accounting standards for non-public entities should be revised to converge into KIFRS. The provision of corporate income tax law relating to capitalization of borrowing costs should be applied on the optional basis rather than compulsory application especially for non-public entities. The range of qualifying assets for capitalization under the tax law should be reviewed to comply with KIFRS.
The Awareness of Dental Hygiene Students on the Dental Hygiene Curriculums

The purpose of this study was to examine the awareness of dental hygiene students on the components of the dental hygiene curriculum. The subjects in this study were 934 dental hygiene students, on whom a survey was conducted in April and Jun, 2009. The collected data were analyzed by the statistical package PASW 18.0. The findings of the study were as follows: The students from the midsection of the nation put the highest value on educational objectives, selection of what to teach and evaluation, and the students from the metropolitan area set the lowest value on those components. The students who took junior college courses took a better view of those components than those who took college courses. In terms of the organization of what to teach, the students from the midsection of the nation rated it highest, and the students from the Honam area rated it lowest. And those who took college courses took a little better view of it than the students who took junior college courses. Among the components of the curriculum, the educational objective factor was rated higher in terms of vocational education, morality and ethics, and that was rated lower in terms of creativity. The selection of what to teach was rated higher in terms of learning possibility and was rated lower in terms of content validity and relevance. The organization of what to teach was rated highest in terms of continuity, followed by sequence and integration. The educational evaluation factor was rated higher in the area of school evaluation and was rated lowest in the area of national examinations.

This research is an empirical research that surveys the influence factors of franchisee's compliance and precedence, which have a direct effect on the success of franchisor, from the view of relation exchange theory. The results herein show that the trust of franchisees towards franchisor has a complete mediating effect between conflict and compliance. This means that in a franchise system, it is important to build trust in order to successfully manage franchisees. Trust built between franchisor and the franchisee has a dominating effect based on relationship even on domains not specified on the contract. Also, it is very important in that it decreases frequently occurring conflicts caused by disagreement of interests and unfair relationship of power, and effectuates compliance of franchisees. Such result is a meaningful theoretical and practical contribution in that it has for the first time domestically investigated the mechanism of relationship leading from conflict and trust to compliance of franchisees by methods of theoretical discussion and empirical analysis.
A Study on the factors of longevity, ADL and IADL of the eldery people over 100 years in Gyeongnam province

This study conducted surveys of 88 eldery people over 100 years in Gyeongnam on April to June, 2011 during 90 days. It was intended to find the factors of longevity, Activity Daily of Living (ADL), and Instrumental Activity Daily of Living (IADL). Major results of this study were as follows: The factors of longevity are getting enough sleep over than seven hours(95.5%), taking in less salty food (69.8%), optimism without even thinking about suicide (86.9%), nonsmoking habit (92%), and moderation in drink (86.4%). The most difficult part of Activity Daily of Living (ADL) is taking a bath, and that of Instrumental Activity Daily of Living (IADL) is taking a bus or subway alone. All items of ADL and IADL, female was higher than the male, but not statistically significant(p<0.05). Therefore, further study is expected to develop the supplementary policy to support the elderly people with declining to carry out physical activities. It is also expected to develop the public welfare programs and policies for the aged, allowing them to take responsibility and to participate as a member of the society.
An Analysis Study on stress factor of Emergency medical Students during preparing Examination for Korea Registered licence

The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors on stresses to Emergency Rescue students' who have national examination ahead. In this descriptive research, 87 3rd-degree-Emergency Rescue students from K city were selected. Collected data was analyzed by using the SPSS PC program for descriptive data, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson's Correlation. In result, stress factors are categorized by curriculum(
), homework (
) and total mean was (
). The way to adjust stresses characterized by long-term(
) and short-term(
), also the short-term is used more than the other ways. The significant differences between general characteristics and stress factor were gender(t=4.466, p=.040), grade(F=2.53, p=.047). In the correlations between categories of the stress factor and stress degree, the examination(r=.81, p=.000), curriculum(r=.66, p=.000), homework(r=.80, p=.000), environment (r=.74, p=.000), and employment(r=.62, p=.000) were significant. In conclusion, it is needed to study for managing stress according to various subjects.
Relationship Between Depressive Symptoms and Physical Function(ADL, IADL) Among the Rural Elderlies

This study was performed to determine the levels of depressive symptoms and to reveal its relationships between ADL and IADL among rural elderlies. The interviews were performed, during the period from April 1st, to June 30th, 2010, to 412 elderlies in rural areas. As a results, the distribution of ADL among all subjects were 94.7% in normal-range group, and 5.3% in impaired group. In terms of IADL, 87.4% of the subjects were normal-range group, 12.6% were impaired group. The distribution of depression group among all subjects were 38.2% in normal-range group of ADL, and 90.9% in impaired group of ADL, but it was 35.8% in normal-range group of IADL, and 76.9% in impaired group of IADL. In logistic regression analysis, the adjusted odds ratio of the depression was significantly increased in impaired group of ADL than in normal-range group of ADL(OR=23.21, 95% CI=4.38~123.05). Also it was significantly increased in impaired group of IADL than in normal-range group of IADL(OR=7.76, 95% CI=2.99~20.08). In conclusion, the depression of rural elderlies was significantly increased in impaired group than in normal-range group of ADL and IADL. Thus, strategic effort needs to be prevented to depression in impaired group of ADL and IADL.
The Correlation between Activity Ability and Participation in Children with Cerebral Palsy

This study was performed to search for correlation between activity limitation level and participation restriction of children with cerebral palsy by investigating the activity limitation level through the use of the GMFCS E&R and the MACS and by figuring out participation restriction level through questionnaire survey. This study was performed, from May 1, 2010 to August 31, 2010, on 152 children with cerebral palsy ranging from 4 to 12 years, who are receiving rehabilitation therapy in the hospitals and community clinics in Busan and Gyeongnam province. The levels of activity limitation were assessed by using GMFCS E&R and MACS, and a questionnaire survey was conducted for participation restriction of the participating children. Spearman rank correlation was used for correlation analysis with the statistical software, SPSS 12.0. Majority of the children scored level 5 in both GMFCS E&R and MACS which is high frequency of activity limitation levels. Children in these levels also showed severe or complete participation restriction for mobility, education, and social relations. The analysis showed a significantly positive correlation between activity limitation level and participation restriction. Therefore this study may be useful in assessing the functional movement component of participation in children with cerebral palsy and developing the intervention plan for participation.
Effect of Treadmill Gradient Training on Lower Limb Muscle Activity in Chronic Stroke Patient

The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of treadmill gradient training on lower limb muscle activity in chronic stroke patients. The subject were 32 stroke patients.. Subjects were randomly divided into three group which were control group(
treadmill training(n=10)) and experimental group(
treadmill training (n=10) and
treadmill training(n=12)). Three groups received treadmill gradient training for 30 minutes while 3 times per week for 6 weeks in addition to conventional physical therapy. Muscle strength was measured by EMG on rectus femoris, biceps femoris, tibialis anterior and gastrocnenius for muscle activities. In comparison of activity of rectus femoris and gastrocnemius between pre and post value, the activity of rectus femoris was significant in the experimental and control group(p<.05) and the activity of biceps femoris was significant in the
treadmill gait training group and
treadmill gait training group(p<.05). The activity of tibialis anterior was significant in the
treadmill gait training group and
treadmill gait training group(p<.05). In comparison of the difference of activity of rectus femoris among 3 groups, there was a significant difference between the
treadmill gait training group and control group(p<.05). and difference of activity of tibialis anterior was significant difference between the
treadmill gait training group and control group(p<.05). These findings suggest that
treadmill gait training group and
treadmill gait training group can be used to improve lower limb muscle activity in chronic stroke patient. In conclusion, these treadmill gradient training helped improving function of gait ability in chronic stroke patient.

The purpose of this study was to analysis the effect of form of outsole on lower leg Electromyography (EMG) during gait. The subject were 11 women(mean age
, body mass index
), who had no serious foot musculoskeletal disease within3years prior to study. The vastus medialis, gastrocnemius, semitendinosus, tibialis anterior were compared during gait with 2 types of shoe(complex function double rocker sole, negative-heel rocker sole) by using pair t-test(p<.05). The vastus medialis, gastrocnemius, semitendinosus were not found to be significantly different among the 2 types of shoe but tibialis anterior were found(p<.05). The complex function double rocker sole shoe caused a significant change in energy expenditure compared to the negative-heel rocker sole shoe.
A Study on the Medical Services Satisfaction of Cancer Patients in Busan Area

Hospital out-shopping by local patients has become more popular. In particular, many cancer patients have visited hospitals in the capital area to get better medical services regardless of how far the hospitals are from their home. However this kind of hospital out-shopping may discontinue medical treatment and cause a waste of medical resources including manpower. In addition, it creates additional economic and social expenses such as caretakers' transportation and lodging expenses. It is necessary to study patients who would take the medical treatment in Busan go to Seoul for better medical services are more satisfied based on objective data. For this, a questionnaire survey has been performed against 223 cancer patients who had a surgery in Busan and 187 patents who had an operation in Seoul. According to the survey, the patients who had an operation in the capital area(Group A) were more satisfied than the patients who had a surgery in Busan(Group B) in terms of convenience facilities, doctors' competence. However the Group A was very dissatisfied in terms of accessibility and satisfaction on overall medical services.
The Effects of Visual Flow Speed's Modulation-Based Virtual Reality Program on Gait Function in Stroke Patients

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of a visual flow speed's modulation-based VR(virtual reality) program on gait function in stroke patients. Thirty one stroke patients were randomly selected at Dep. of Rehabilitation medicine of M hospital in Seoul. We carried out the gait analysis by dividing them with four conditions : one condition had applied without the visual flow modulation-based VR and another had done three visual flow speed's modulation-based VR(0.25, 1, 2 times). The gait analysis was used with GaitRite system. The data were collected using gait velocity, cadence, stride length, step length, single support time, and double support time during treatment. The results were as follows. First, the slow visual flow(0.25 times)-based VR program on the condition was significant decrease gait velocity, cadence, stride length, step length and increase single support time, double support time(p<.05). Second, the fast visual flow(2 times)-based VR program on the condition was significant increase gait velocity, cadence, stride length, step length, single support time on paretic lower limb and decrease single support time on non-paretic lower limb, double support time(p<.05). Third, the normal visual flow(1 times)-based VR program on the condition was not significant differ gait velocity, cadence, stride length, step length, single support time, double support time. In conclusion, the visual flow speed's modulation-based VR program improves gait function in chronic stroke patients.
A University Hospital Nurses' Knowledge and Attitude about Cancer Pain Management

This study was performed to investigate a hospital nurses' knowledge and attitude about cancer pain management and to make use of base material for education. The research design was descriptive survey study, and the data were collected from 303 nurses who were working at a university hospital. A instrument study was the inventory consisting 107 questionnaires for cancer pain management. The data were analysed by SPSS WIN 18.0. The study showed that the percentage of correct answers for general knowledge about pain was 79.6%, for knowledge about cancer pain was 82.2%, for knowledge about analgesics use was 55.6%, for attitude about pain management was 65.2%, and the percentage of correct answers for each item was 70.7%. The knowledge about analgesics use was significant difference in age, education level, position, years of nursing practice, present place of working, years of present working place, pain education program experience, the attitude about pain management was significant difference in gender, education level and present place of working. Consequently it needs the persistent educational programs development and the clinical application to improve of nurses` knowledge and attitude about cancer pain management.
Related Factors to Musculoskeletal Discomfort Symptoms on Some Middle·High school Teachers

This cross-sectional study was investigated musculoskeletal discomfort symptoms and related factors on some middle high school teachers. Self-questionnaire of KOSHA CODE H-30-2003 was done with 250 teachers from 1st to 15th October, 2010, the data from 231 teachers (68 male, 163 female) was statistically analyzed to search the factors related to musculoskeletal discomfort symptoms. According to NIOSH rate of musculoskeletal discomfort symptoms by body parts was 36.8%. Musculoskeletal discomfort symptoms related to age, school types, subjective health status, housekeeping time, VDT work time and regular rest. After adjusting for related variables, odds ratio (OR) of musculoskeletal discomfort symptoms was correlation significantly to subjective health status unhealthy (OR 11.75, 95% Confidence Interval, CI, 3.56-378.78). In addition, ORs (95% CI) of age (40-49) and housekeeping time (
) were 4.63 (1.82-26.18) and 4.33 (1.97-19.34). Analysis of the factors influencing the musculoskeletal discomfort symptoms vary in different parts of the body. The most discomfort symptoms by parts was neck (26.0%) and shoulder (30.0%). In the neck region was related to subjective health status and regular rest. In the shoulder and waist region was subjective health status and sex. Age was wrist/finger, leg/foot was related to subjective health status, sex and VDT work time. Age, school types, subjective health status, housekeeping time, VDT work time and regular rest related to musculoskeletal discomfort symptoms and the most discomfort symptoms by parts was neck and shoulder.
The Relationship between Self-esteem and Mental Health of College Student in Some Regions

This study investigates the relationship between self-esteem and mental health of college students. The data collected is to be utilized to promote effect methods of education and consultation that will improve the self-esteem and mental health of college students. There were a total of 468 questionnaires were distributed and collected from 2 universities and 3 community colleges between October 2nd and December 2nd 2010. The results of data analysis were as follows: First, there were no significant differences in the relationships between general characteristics and the perceptual self, the evaluative self, and self-esteem. Second, there were significant differences in the relationship between general characteristics and mental health according to economic situation, the year of entering college, satisfaction with your department, relationship with fellow classmates, and health status with regards to low mental health. Third, there was a partial correlation between perceptual self, evaluative self, and self-esteem. Perceptual self, evaluative self, and self-esteem were inversely related to obsessive compulsiveness, hostility, interpersonal sensitivity, physical, anxiety, delusional disorder, and psychosis. In conclusion, the results of this study would be used as the foundation for improving the self-esteem of college students and easing mental health with the development and implementation of a formal education program. It is also recognized that follow studies should be conducted to understand additional effects.
Development and Evaluation of Patient Safety Reporting Promoting Education Program

The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate patient safety reporting promoting strategy for nurses to improve nursing care quality. The process included three phase - construction, implementation and evaluation phase. Before the construction phase has two kinds of subcategories as analysis and verification. Analysis phase was consisted of literature review and field study, and verification was conducted by two specialist. At the construction phase, patient safety reporting system, educational materials, planning for public relation, and reward preparation were developed. After implementation during 12 weeks, we evaluated pre-post scores of satisfaction, stress of conscience, job performances. The participants were 51 nurses working for a hospitals. The program was developed and then administered to the experimental group for 12 weeks. One group pretest-posttest design was used for this study. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, paired t-test with the SPSS WIN 18.0 program. After the intervention, job performance scores improved significantly from 3.62 to 3.75(t=2.653, p=.009). But job stress didn't changed significantly(t=.785, p=.434). These strategy can be applied to many clinical setting that will be helpful to promote patient safety reporting for nurses.

In this paper, we develop about glare phenomenon at security light caused by light source's straight characteristic, maintaining uniformity ratio of illuminance as high, have long light distribution not by symmetry of rotation but a single axis. we develop second lens for security light that lack of light distribution phenomenon at each of security light can be solved. Our developed light system design satisfies lighting standard of security light's and shape of lens is single lens. so our lens optimizes designing or analysis by using lighting design and interpretation program. Making a Mock-up to do real measure, we have intensity of illumination and maintaining uniformity ratio of illuminance measurement data.
Implementation of the outdoor location tracking system by using Zigbee

Location tracking system represents position by searching objects and humans. In this paper I would like to write about RF chip support Zigbee which is called CC2420. In simulated network circumstance, we can get the information about mobile-node by sending it to sink-node. Position finding is in error by 3m at outdoor environment. The error scale is acceptable within easy range of naked eyes. It can be overcome by using GPS information and Google maps with the wireless networking background.

In this paper, chaotic circuit of the Lorentz system for engineering applications was implemented using resistor, multipliers, capacitors and operational amplifiers. The implemented Lorentz chaotic system was analysed by PSPICE program. PSPICE simulation results show many kind of chaotic phenomena such time waveforms and phase plots. Meanwhile, according to resistor's variation, we got that Lorentz system show equilibrium state, periodic state and chaotic state.

In this paper, properties of directional coupler with high directivity was investigated. The directional couler is used to check and verify the power, frequency, and antenna reflection of signal at transmission station for mobile communications. To get the high directivity in the directional coupler, directional coupler was simulated and fabricated. we obtained the directional coupler having more than 31dB directivity.

We proposed a Desoldering system that is to cope with the changed work environment of the solder materials changing from lead solder to lead-free solder, we can be quickly stable to the set temperature, and continuous operation is possible. The Improvement for Performance of White LED chip using Improved Fabrication Process

LEDs are using widely in a field of illumination, LCD LED backlight, mobile signals because they have several merits, such as low power consumption, long lifetime, high brightness, fast response, environment friendly. To achieve high performance LEDs, one needs to enhance output power, reduce operation voltage, and improve device reliability. In this paper, we have proposed that the optimum design and specialized process could improve the performance of LED chip. It was showed an output power of 7cd and input supplied voltage of 3.2V by the insertion technique of current blocking layer. In this paper, GaN-based LED chip which is built on the sapphire epi-wafer by selective MOCVD were designed and developed. After that, their performances were measured. It showed the output power of 7cd more than conventional GaN-based chip. It will be used the lighting source of a medical equipment and LCD LED TV with GaN-based LED chip.
Automatic Vowel Onset Point Detection Based on Auditory Frequency Response

This paper presents a vowel onset point (VOP) detection method based on the human auditory system. This method maps the "perceptual" frequency scale, i.e. Mel scale onto a linear acoustic frequency, and then establishes a series of Triangular Mel-weighted Filter Bank simulate the function of band pass filtering in human ear. This nonlinear critical-band filter bank helps greatly reduce the data dimensionality, and eliminate the effect of harmonic waves to make the formants more prominent in the nonlinear spaced Mel spectrum. The sum of mel spectrum peaks energy is extracted as feature for each frame, and the instinct at which the energy amplitude starts rising sharply is detected as VOP, by convolving with Gabor window. For the single-word database which contains 12 vowels articulated with different kinds of consonants, the experimental results showed a good average detection rate of 72.73%, higher than other vowel detection methods based on short-time energy and zero-crossing rate.
Blind Equalizer Algorithms using Random Symbols and Decision Feedback

Non-linear equalization techniques using decision feedback structure are highly demanded for cancellation of intersymbol interferences occurred in severe channel environments. In this paper decision feedback structure is applied to the linear blind equalizer algorithm that is based on information theoretic learning and a randomly generated symbol set. At the decision feedback equalizer (DFE) the random symbols are generated to have the same probability density function (PDF) as that of the transmitted symbols. By minimizing difference between the PDF of blind DFE output and that of randomly generated symbols, the proposed DFE algorithm produces equalized output signal. From the simulation results, the proposed method has shown enhanced convergence and error performance compared to its linear counterpart.

This paper presents a framework for quantitative software development performance measurement and analysis based on characteristics of software in System on Chip (SoC) industry, one of the semiconductor businesses. In this paper, we propose a measurement model based on not only theoretical model (Performance Pyramid) but also characteristics of SoC embedded software. Quantitative software development performance measurement is not just collecting indicators but analyzing quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) of collected indicators. Externally, it is possible for programmers to develop software meeting customers' needs. Internally, more efficient software development can be possible through the visible productivity increase. Using the proposed framework, the paper quantitatively measures embedded software development performance.
Integration of Blackboard Architecture into Multi-Agent Architecture

The Integration of multi-agent architecture and blackboard architecture may lead to a new architecture to cope with new application areas which need some good and strong points of both the architectures. This paper suggests an integrated architecture of blackboard architecture and multi-agent architecture by using event-based implicit invocation pattern and a blackboard event detection mechanism based on Rete network. From the viewpoints of weak couplings of system components and flexible control of knowledge source agents, it is desirable to use the event-based implicit invocation pattern in the integrated architecture. But the pattern itself does not concern the performance of the architecture, and it is very critical to the performance of the integrated architecture to detect efficiently the blackboard events which can activate knowledge source agents which can contribute to the problem-solving processes of the integrated architecture. The integrated architecture suggested in this paper uses a blackboard event detection mechanism based on Rete network to detect efficiently blackboard events which can activate knowledge source agents.
RF and Ultrasonic Interference Reduction Technique in Indoor Location Sensing Systems

Location information is a critical element of ubiquitous computing. Cricket is an indoor location-based system that transmits radio and ultrasonic signals in regular intervals to calculate the distance between nodes. However, the amount of signal interference and collisions increases in proportion with the number of nodes, losing the accuracy of the location-based system. This study proposes an algorithm based on the 802.15.2 MAC protocol for the wireless sensor network to reduce signal interference and collision by employing node numbers and the frequency reuse approach used in mobile telecommunication. We analyzed the performance of our algorithm. The obtained results showed that the algorithm is an effective for throughput and energy compared to the Cricket system.
Efficient Skyline Computation on Time-Interval Data Streams

Multi-criteria result extraction is crucial in many scientific applications that support real-time stream processing, such as habitat research and disaster monitoring. Skyline evaluation is computational intensive especially over continuous time-interval data streams where each object has its own customized expiration time. In this work, we propose TI-Sky - a continuous skyline evaluation framework. To ensure correctness, the result space needs to be continuously maintained as new objects arrive and older objects expire. TI-Sky strikes a perfect balance between the costs of continuously maintaining the result space and the costs of computing the final skyline result from this space whenever a pull-based user query is received. Our key principle is to incrementally maintain a partially precomputed skyline result space - however doing so efficiently by working at a higher level of abstraction. TI-Sky's algorithms for insertion, deletion, purging and result retrieval exploit both layers of granularity. Our experimental study demonstrates the superiority of TI-Sky over existing techniques to handle a wide variety of data sets.
Probabilistic Filtering Method for Efficient Sensor Network Security

The fabricated report attack will not only cause false alarms that waste real-world response efforts such as sending response teams to the event location, but also drains the finite amount of energy in a wireless sensor network. In this paper, we propose a probabilistic filtering method for sensor network security (PFSS) to deal with filtering for the fabricated report. On the basis of filtering scheme, PFSS combines cluster-based organization and probabilistic verification node assignment using distance of from cluster head to base station for energy efficiency and hot spot problem. Through both analysis and simulation, we demonstrate that PFSS could achieve efficient protection against fabricated report attack while maintaining a sufficiently high filtering power.
A Study on the Use of Closed School Regarding the Change of Provincial Condotions (Case of Closed School in Yeongi Province)

This study examined the present condition of the closed elementary school in the Yeongi province, where much of the area will be transformed into the city of Se-Jong, and suggested the renewal plan in the future. Among the twelve(12) schools, eight(8) that have transferred to private sectors were analyzed in respect to lot size, present usage, surroundings, means of approach, and distance from the most populated area, ect.. Additionally, interview with the management official of school board was taken in place. The findings include: two(2) schools that are located nearer then others to the newly-born city can be rehabilitated as educational facility, such as training institute and cultural experience place. Other six(6) schools can be utilized as senior citizens' center, community center, medical substation, hobby farm, or even community warehouse.
A Numerical Study on Inplane Nonlinear Buckling Strengths of New Arches Subjected to Uniformly Distributed Loading

This paper investigates the characteristics of buckling loads for steel arches with new type cross section which is consisted of T-section and pipe-section. A general purpose finite-element program ABAQUS was used to evaluate the inelastic buckling strengths of the arches which included the influence of the geometric and material nonlinearity. According to the comparisons between earlier studies and results from finite-element analyses, new design equations should be developed for the new arches. New buckling factors were developed to consider influence of rise-to-span ratio and boundary conditions. It is found that the presented factors are sufficiently accurate to predict the inplane buckling loads of new type section steel arches subjected to uniformly distributed loading. The proposed equations can be used to investigate new type steel arches subjected to unsymmetrical loading and composited arches.

One is the reduction of the regional unbalance in those divided into two parts, the other is multi-dimentional plan through the efficient land-use on the side area of railway. For these regional refurbishment Plan, organizing the integrated transit system for the passenger's convenience, connecting existing commercial area and existing northen station square, modernization and improvement of environment are suggested.

This study is a research on the buckling analysis of a portable prestressing device using finite element analysis program, ABAQUS. In order to produce 50m-span PSC girders using pretensioning method, a portable prestressing device has to endure a large jacking force about 10MN. Therefore it shall be safe and stable about the jacking force. In this study, the buckling analysis technique is developed and the buckling analysis of a portable prestressing device is performed using previous studies about the analytical model that the validity of the analytical model was demonstrated by comparing analytical results with experimental results. The stability of the device to produce 10m span PSC girders is investigated.

By the theories of the physics, the phenomena in the world are understood. And also these theories gave the influence to design the architecture. In this research, the contents which the thought of the physics gives a influence a building design is considered, and try to suggest the interrelation between the physics and architectural design. As the result, the architectural design on the influence of classical physics is based on the homogeneous space and the design focus on the style or form of the building with a geometry plan which is not concerned of the place. On the other hand, contemporary architectural design is based on the thought of the modern physics. By this concepts, the architecture is understood as the area contain the conditions of the circumstance and by interaction between buildings and the environment and by various viewpoints like cubism. And the architecture which is settled recently is shown of the diversity and atypical form.

capture technology using an aqueous amine solution is studied widely now. The entire process consists of an absorber to remove carbon dioxide selectively and a regenerator to regenerate absorbent and acquire pure carbon dioxide. Because there are the complicated design variables that affect performance of the process, it needs optimization and analysis through modeling to make a commercially reliable process. In this study, the decomposition method was proposed to consider convergence problem and sensitivity analysis was executed for the carbon dioxide capture process variables. Non-equilibrium model was used in the simulation to get more realistic results and we designed optimized process with more than 95% purity and 90% recovery.
Effects of Electrolytic Water Washing on Mackerel (Scomber japonicus) muscle Protein Pattern

This study was conducted to determine the effects of electrolytic water washing(EWW) and tap water washing(TWW) on proximate composition, color difference and SDS-PAGE changes of Mackerel(Scomber japonicus) muscle. Moisture contents of washed mackerel sediments EWW were much higher than TWW(p<0.05). Crude proteins of washed mackerel sediments EWW were 1% lower than TWW. Crude lipides had same results with crude proteins. Hunter value L, a, b were tested to each samples.

Characterization of Annual PM2.5 and PM10 Concentrations by Real-time Measurements in Cheonan, Chungnam

From 2015, PM2.5 standards will be added to Korean national ambient air quality standards. To characterize PM2.5 levels in Cheonan, annual PM2.5 concentrations along with PM10 concentrations were investigated between February 2010 and January 2011 using a dust monitor. ). During the same periods, only 11% days exceeded the daily PM10 standard, showing that PM2.5 were more concerning levels than PM10. Seasonal variations showed the highest concentrations in spring and winter, and lowest concentration in summer due to heavy rain fall. Changes in PM2.5 concentrations during the day were remarkable and showed the highest concentrations in commuting periods. The results indicated that the concentrations of PM2.5 in Cheonan were at the concerning level, and mainly from the mobile sources.
Water Quality and Phytoplankton in the Waters of Anmyondo Ggot-jee Swimming Beach

Physicochemical water conditions and phytoplankton were investigated at Ggot-jee beach in Anmyondo, summer season of 2011. COD were sometimes recorded higher than 5.0mg/l and SS were always over 40mg/l. DO, pH and salinity were stable generally but low salinity was affected by heavy rainfall. In spite of relatively high concentrations of chlorophyll and phytoplankton standing stocks, discolored water phenomena(green or red tide) had not been occurred. A few dinoflagellate species were dominated in June and July, but general diatoms were dominant species of phytoplankton community in August. Escherichia coli concentrations were higher in August(>400CFU/100ml) than in July but it's not the level of hygienic problem.
The Effects of binary metal oxide catalysts for the synthesis of glycerol carbonate

The glycerol carbonate was synthesized by glycerol and urea using metal oxide catalysts. The physical properties of the prepared metal oxide catalysts were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), specific surface area analysis (BET), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and temperature programmed desorption (TPD). In addition, we confirmed the conversion of the glycerol and the yield of the glycerol carbonate according to characteristics of metal oxide catalysts. From XRD and FE-SEM analysis, the crystallite size and crystallinity of metal oxide catalysts decrease with addition of Al. In addition, the Zn-Al mixed metal oxide had higher catalytic activity than the pure ZnO due to decreased side reaction in the synthesis of glycerol carbonate.
