In this study, we carried out finite element analysis for drill bit design on ground boring. We verified analysis between drill bit analysis results and experiment results of test machine. From the study, the results expect that time and cost reduction for experiment using finite element analysis for determination on drill bit geometry and material property.

AZ31 Mg alloy were coated by Macro Arc Oxidation(MAO) with 3 types of electrolyte and various coating times at 4A/
. The Surface morphology of coatings became lager pores and surface crack initiated as the coating time increased. The thickness and micro-hardness of coatings increased as the coating time increased. also. The phase of coatings on AZ31 alloy consisted of MgO,
oxides. The salt spray corrosion resistance of coated AZ31 alloys revealed excellent corrosion resistance in 5% NaCl solution for 168hr.
Study on Vibration Induced by Fluid at a Water Pressure Reducing Valve through Structure-Fluid Coupled Analysis

In this paper, the structure-fluid coupled analysis is carried out in order to examine the cause of the vibration induced by fluid in the pressure-reducing valves for water. It is confirmed that there is the noise at the area of low frequency of 250Hz by measuring noise at pressure reducing valve. The flow analysis is performed by the commercial software ANSYS/CFX. The flow velocity of about 40 m/s is formed by nozzle effect, and so negative pressure is happened in the pressure reducing valve. The structure analysis is carried out with the load condition of pressure distribution by flow formed in valve. The rubber material at disk is deformed to the extent of closing up flow passage. It is confirmed that the disc deformation which is occurred repeatedly is due to noise and vibration at the pressure reducing valve.

In LED chip packaging, die bonding is a very important process which fixes the LED chip on the lead frame to provide enough strength for the next process. This paper focuses on the process optimization of a LED die bonding, which attaches small zener diode chip on PLCC LED package frame, using response surface analysis. Design of experiment (DOE) of 5 factors, 3 levels and 5 responses are considered, and the results are investigated. As the results, optimal conditions those satisfy all response objects can be derived.
Effects of Shear Mixing on the Dispersion Improvement of Carbon Nanotube Fillers in Epoxy Composites

In this article, the effects of shear mixing on the dispersion improvement of the carbon nanotube fillers in epoxy composites were studied. Through the scanning electron microscope images showing the quantitative results and the tensile tests giving the qualitative data, we can see the dispersion improvement of the fillers. The composite specimen containing 0.6 wt% fillers shows the biggest value of tensile strength. For the tensile stiffness, the specimens containing more filler have the larger values of tensile stiffness.
Injection mold development applying starting mold material, urethane resin(TSR-755)

In this study, we used the commercial package (Unigraphics) to construct a junction box cable car when laser plastic parts have been processed using urethane resin(TSR-755) as a starting mold material. After construction, we carried out the filing, packing, cooling, and deforming analyzation using Injection Molding Analysis (Simpoe-Mold) to determine the gate positioning and automatic cooling cycle through the examination. The results show that inserting into the injection mold after processing ceramic has reduced the time of thermal conductivity of molding and cooling; and quick selection of gates and cooling lines could possibly cause an improvement of productivity.
A Study on the Numerical Analysis of Heat Sink for Radiant Heat of Automotive LED Head Lamp

This thesis was conducted a numerical analysis on the radiant heat performance according to factors of design of heat sink for cooling of the automotive LED head lamp. The heat sinks were designed with 5 different types to fit the limited internal space by formula based on an existing product (Type 1). Designed heat sinks of five types were analyzed by ANSYS CFD V12.1, and the analysis results were compared with the existing type. The results of simulation were analyzed temperature distribution and average temperature, air flow characteristic, heat flux etc. This thesis was researched on the correlation of the cooling performance according to the heat sink structure and the fin shape. Through numerical analysis, could be confirmed heat sink Type 2 as the best results.

This research aims to do heat transfer analysis on multi-functional dough conditioner. The dough conditioner is a key bakery machine for the maturation of dough which is raw material of bakery and also it's amount of used has been increased. Solidworks which is one of automatic design programs is applied to design in order to manufacture the multi-functional dough conditioner, and ANSYS which is a three dimensional finite element analysis code is used for the heat transfer analysis. Inside temperatures and heat fluxes are obtained as the results of heat transfer analysis and the results are contributed significantly in manufacturing the multi-functional dough conditioner.
Wing Optimization based on a Reduced System

The present study proposes the optimization of wing structure base on reduced model which assures the solution accuracy and computational efficiency. Well-constructed reduced model assures the accurate result in the eigenvalue problem, dynamic analysis or sensitivity of design optimization. Reduced system is classified into the reduce-order model based on structural modes and the reduced system based on degrees of freedom. Because this study uses the reduced system based on degrees of freedom, it is important to select the dominant degrees of freedom properly. For this work, robust selection method, two-level selection scheme, is employed and IRS(Improved Reduced System) is applied to construct the final reduced system. In the optimization process based on the reduced system, all of the equivalent stress, eigenvalue and design sensitivities are calculated from the reduced system. Through a numerical example, it is shown that the present optimization methodology based on the reduction method can provide an optimal results for objective function satisfying constraint condition.
On Modeling the PBL Process and the ILS Development from a Life Cycle View with Resultant Enhanced Interrelationship

The demand on applying the performance-based logistics (PBL) in the operational phase of the weapon systems development is increasing these days. Therefore, the enhancement of the PBL concept and process needs to be done. This is the objective of the paper. As a method of approach, a modeling method is adopted to cover the whole life cycle of the weapon systems development from the concept development to the operation. The modeling results for the PBL process yield an useful suggestion for improvement. Also, by analyzing the interrelationship model between the PBL process and the integrated logistics support (ILS) procedure, it is possible to take advantage of the PBL concept in the ILS elements development, which is usually carried out from the beginning of the development phase, a lot earlier than the operational phase. Note that the PBL concept has been restrictively applied in only the supply support among many ILS elements up until now. However, the results obtained in the paper can make it also possible to consider the availability, reliability, logistics support, cost and so on from the early phase of the weapon systems development.
Simulation Method for Playing Complex Polyrhythm

Though polyrhythm is definitely a complex form of rhythm as we all know, some forms of polyrhythm(for example, '2 against 3' or '3 against 4') are considered as simple rhythm compared with others such as '5 against 4' or '7 against 4'. It is because this kind of polyrhythm might be used as often as enough to be able to be understood and to be played. However, the polyrhythm that we are talking about in this study(I'd like to call them as complex polyrhythm) is not able to be played by someone who is not familiar with quintuplets or septuplets. Here I would like to suggest a new way of playing polyrhythm, called the 'Simulation Method'. The main purpose of this method is to easily approach the complex polyrhythm by using its mathematical similarity even though these polyrhythms are originally hard to be played due to its mathematical complexity.
Artistic Value and Art Price: A Comparison between Auction and Non-auction Markets

Previous studies on art pricing mostly focused on auction data because of the limitation of non-auction market data. This study investigated on both auction and non-auction markets to see the difference in art pricing mechanisms of both markets. Especially, while prior hedonic models included only quantatative variables to predict art prices, we added a qualitative measure, artistic value of a artwork, along with the original hedonic model to develop a more comprehensive model, and tested if his change may make more precise predictions. As a result, when we did not divide our data into auction and non-auction groups, we did not find any significant difference between the original hedonic model and the new model including artistic value. However, when we separated non-auction group from auction group, we found that predicted prices in the new model showed significantly closer values to the actual prices. This study contributes to our knowledge on art pricing by showing that artistic value may have important but differential impacts on different art dealing channels.

The purpose of the paper is to draw conclusions form the EU's cluster policy for Korean government policy. The paper consists of five chapters. Chapter two develops theoretical underpinnings of clusters. In chapter three are the research methods shown. Chapter four describes the EU policy for clusters. In chapter is drawn a conclusion and policy implications are discussed. Academic contribution of this study is academically analyzed the first time the research of EU Cluster and Policy of the EU Cluster is to enhance the innovative for SMEs technology.
Relationships between achievement goal orientation and self-management in high school track & field athletes

This study examined the relationship between an achievement goal orientation and self-management in track & field athletes' of physical education high schools. Moreover, we hypothesized that the achievement goal orientation and self-management would be differed by their gender, special field, and career. Participants were 229 athletes. They completed achievement goal orientation and self-management questionnaires independently. Results from each statistical method based on the research questions revealed that there was a statistical difference in the subject goal orientation(p<0.05). Gender had a significant effect on the interpersonal, mental strength, and the body management(p<0.05). The mental strength was only statistically affected by their special field. The results indicated that the achievement goal orientation and the self-management may affect performance of high school track & field athletes. Several limitations, implications and suggestions for the future study were discussed.

In this study, the effect of traffic information satisfaction and expansion by the attitude on traffic information media using the structural equation modeling was evaluated. Research findings showed that the attitude formed by experience with VMS had a positive impact on user satisfaction and expansion on traffic information. Howevr, the expansion on traffic information was not affected significantly. by user satisfaction on traffic information. In other words, If experiences with VMS is positive, higher uset satisfaction on traffic information. In addition, it should be positive to expand traffic information.
Effects of Process-Based Integrated Mathematics·Science Activities on Children's Science Process Skills and Scientific Attitudes

This study aims to examine the effects of process-based integrated Mathematics Science Activities on children's science process skills and scientific attitudes and arrange efficient teaching and learning environment in the field. The subjects of research were 89 three-year and five-year old children attending kindergarten attached to W university in I city, Jeollabuk-do and process-based integrated Mathematics Science activities were conducted with themes. For data analysis, paired t-test was conducted with SPSS for Windows program and as a result of performing process-based integrated Mathematics Science activities, it was found that there were significant differences in sub-factors of science process skills and scientific attitude by age and sex. These results suggested that process-based integrated activities had positive influences on three-year and five-yeard old children.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the recognition of well-dying, change to attitude toward the old and meaning of life through pre/post hospice education program of care worker trainees. This study is a quasi-experimental research using one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of the study were 80 care worker trainees in T city and S city. The data were analyzed by SPSS/WIN 17.0 program. considering these results, The recognition of well-dying, The attitude toward the old and meaning of life were significantly different between pre/post program. This study is need systematic and continuousness of hospice education program for curriculum change to attitude toward the old and improvement of care worker.
A Study on Factors Affecting Multicultural Efficacy of Early Childhood Teachers

The purpose of this stud is to find out what factors that multicultural awareness and multicultural attitude of early childhood teachers affect multicultural efficacy are. In order to achieve this research purpose, the survey was carried out by using questionnaires targeting 394 early childhood teachers working in Early Childhood Educational Institutions located in I city. The response results are as follows: First, multicultural awareness, multicultural attitude, multicultural efficacy of early childhood teachers did not show any difference by workplace. Second, it turned out that there is a significant correlation between multicultural awareness, multicultural efficacy of early childhood teachers. Third, it turned out that multicultural awareness and multicultural attitude of early childhood teachers have a positive influence on multicultural efficacy. In view of the results of this study, multicultural efficacy can be improved when awareness and attitude of early childhood teachers on multicultural education are changed so it is thought that various studies that can continuously conduct multicultural education training programs etc. for early childhood teachers should be conducted.
An Analysis of Meal Guidance and Meal Management of Early Childhood Teachers

This study analyzes the meal guidance and meal service management of early childhood teachers. The subjects were 171 early childhood teachers who were working in kindergartens and day care centers in Gwangju. A questionnaire was made by the researcher on the basis of relevant materials. The data was analyzed by statistical methods such as frequency, Cronbach's
, ANOVA and Duncan with the SPSS for Windows 18.0 program. The results are as follow: First, there are significant differences in meal hours, amount of food and meal admeasurer according to workplace type of early childhood teacher. Also, there are significant differences in meal hours, amount of food, meal admeasurer and guidance for late eating infants according to children's age. Second, early childhood teacher consider in order content after meal, content before meal and content during meal. Also, there are significant difference content after meal according to workplace type of early childhood teacher. And there are significant differences in content before meal and content during meal according to children's age.
Competencies Evaluation of the Government Funded Research Institute's Employee : Focused on the K-institute case

As the result of this study, total 27 core competencies are developed and categorized into four competence groups; common competence group, teamwork formation competence group, data-processing and analysis group and resource management and application competence group. The result of diagnosing of competency level, the required level of competencies were more higher than possessed level. This result supports that it is essential to raise the competency level of employees entirely through the education programs. The data analysis with two independent variances, rank and type of occupation, shows the significant difference between the required and current competency level in terms of ranks, staff, senior and principle. Therefore, it is necessary to provide a differentiated educational programs considering ranks.
A Causality Analysis of Electricity Consumption and Economic Growth in China

The purpose of this study is to analyze the causality of electricity consumption and econmic growth and draw policy implications. To do this, we used Testing Prodedures of Unit Root and Cointegration and then VECM and Granger causality test using data taken from China over the period 1971 to 2008. As results, there are long and short term causalities between electricity consumption and economic growth of China. These results provide a few implications to policy analysts in China. First it is still available that the electricity comes before the economic development. The increase of electricity consumption promotes economic growth. Of course there are other factors to the economic growth, but the stable supply of electricity is necessary. Second, this paper confirms the assertion that the increase of GDP expands electric consumption is valid.
A Study on the Establishment of Boundary Monuments and Management of Records in Cadastral Resurvey Project

In this study, we presented the improved plans for establishment of boundary monuments and management of records in cadastral resurvey project after examining the Special Act on Cadastral Resurvey which has some problems of them. As the result, we proposed that it is necessary to change the color of boundary monuments for distinguishing with the existing one. And also, they should be established at the confirmed boundary points which land owners have already accepted through the temporary boundary monuments. In addition, the register of boundary monuments has to be unified with present records because they are very similar. We hope that the government should adapt these proposals for the successful project.
Study on Curriculum Development of Karatedo Instructor's through The duty analysis

As a way to popularize Karatedo, a curriculum for developing excellent trainers is needed. For that, DACUM was used to specifically look into the field of duty and work that a Karatedo trainer should have, and the purpose of this study is to present fundamental data necessary for developing and organizing the curriculum of cultivating Karatedo and create a useful material that can contribute to improve Karatedo trainers' performances who are working on site. A survey using Likert scale's 7 stages was conducted on DACUM meeting data, 28 managers and 108 trainers. Based on the collected data, this study had a test in order to solve the presented subject using DACUM method and SPSS WIN Ver. 14.0. This core work through the requirements analysis process. And karate leaders the necessary knowledge, skills, and tools, and attitude analysis was carried out to perform the tasks of each. Knowledge, skills, tools and attitude for each task, toward the results of the analysis were 47 core tasks. 167 knowledge items, function 143 items, the tool 60 items, 16 attitude items reclassified a total of 18 subjects were derived. The configuration of the karate leader training program curriculum model 'Karate practical expert area', 'theory karate expert area', 'Karate gym business area experts' was composed. Basic process of how it works Step 1, Step 2 integration process, replenishment process intensified Step 3 was composed.
TA Longitudinal Study of the Effect of Creativity Educational Program

The purpose of this study was to investigate the long-term effects of creativity educational program for students. For this study 79 elementary students(the fourth: experimental group) who had been trained creative educational program were compared with 74 elementary students(the fourth: control group) who had not been trained creative educational program. The results of the study were as follows: the creative thinking ability and creative personality are higher in the experimental group compare with the control group in the long-term effect. This study is valuable in that it showed not only the importance creative educational program but also suggestion of effective creativity education program improving continued promoting effects for children.
An Analysis on the Impacts of High-Tech Complex on Neighborhood Housing Price

The purpose of this paper is to suggest the improvement method to achieve the interactive development effect between high-tech industrial complex and its surrounding areas. For this reason, this paper has conducted an empirical analysis to find out relevant comprehensive factors, affecting nearby housing prices from such plans, especially by reviewing 'Seoul Digital Industrial Complex.' This paper is truly differentiated from previous research by adding a new perspective 'diverse location characteristics', as it focuses not only on 'high-tech facility' characteristics, but also on 'urban function facilities', including 'transportation facilities', 'amenity facilities', 'security facilities', etc. Then, SPSS Version 18.0 was utilized to conduct the multiple regression analysis with the accumulated relevant data and several results were drawn out as following: Firstly, 'deterioration level', 'brand of apartment', etc. are found to be major influencing factors. Secondly, 'educational facilities', 'transportation facilities', 'Cultural & Sports facilities', 'Amenity facilities', etc. are found in the sector of 'location characteristic'. Lastly, 'leading companies within the industrial complex', were also found, affecting nearby housing prices. Therefore, when a housing development project is planned to grant the interactive development effect to high-tech industrial complex and its surrounding housing areas, it is necessary to consider variety factors, such as comprehensive location characteristics and housing complex characteristics, and also proper housing policy measures should be devised in accordance with the actual demand of employees and their dependant family members.

For the purpose, the current status and environment of Korea-US robot industry and the core points of Korea-US FTA are analyzed. In addition, using SWOT analysis of Korean robot field, we analyzed the characteristics of Korean robot industry and proposed the strategy for export expansion and strength of export competitiveness. Through above analyzation and strategies, we found out that Korea robot industry have some advantage to go into the US market and get the opportunity to improve the export capability though Korea-US FTA. In conclusion, to improve current status and to get the competitiveness, government and companies related with robot industry should recognize and utilize Korea-US FTA effect significantly.
Public welfare services and the needs of the Haenyeo and a comparative analysis

The purpose of this study is to suggest the criteria to public welfare service support for improving life quality of the haenyeo (female divers) through analyzing public welfare services and desires of the haenyeo in Jeju, Busan, and Tongyeong. Accordingly, research period was set from May 11 to June 21, 2010. The haenyeo in each region of Jeju, Yeongdo-gu (Busan), Tongyeong-si were selected as subjects. Recording of interviewing methods was used to recognize current status of public welfare. We analyzed by comparing desires of the haenyeo to public welfare services by dividing them economically, medically, educationally, and culturally. As a result of researching public welfare services to the haenyeo in each region, supports for protection of diving, growing area, public welfare service for aged diving haenyeo, and medical service were conducted. Tewak protecting net, Seonjinji visiting, and welfare facilities are supported in Busan-si but there is no support in Tongyeong-si. Therefore, desires of the haenyeo to such public welfare services are as followings: First, the desires of the haenyeo in Jeju to economic supports are indicated as supports for haenyeo experience spot, diving suit, and overseas visiting. To educational supports, it is indicated as supports for identity education, diving disease prevention education, and foreign language education. To cultural supports, it is indicated as supports for installation of welfare hall and exchange visit to foreign haenyeo culture. Second, in Busan, there were desires to establish changing room and fishery sales lot and to support diving suit as for economic supports, desires to support diving disease and medical benefits as for medical supports, desires to education of diving skill as for educational supports, and desires to establish welfare hall and haenyeo museum as for cultural supports. Third, in Tongyeong where public welfare services to the haenyeo are very poor, there were desires to support diving suit and to support changing room as for economic supports, as same as in Busan, desires to support diving disease and medical benefits as for medical supports.
Physical Functions of Industrial Workers with Chronic Low Back Pain and Changes in Health-related Quality of Life according to Virtual Reality Exercise Program

This study performed a virtual reality exercise program for self-back pain control of industrial workers with chronic back pain and analysed their physical function and health-related quality of life relating to industrial chronic back pain. The subjects of the study were thirty chronic back pain patients working for K company and were divided into Nintendo Wii Sports Group made of 15 subjects and Physical Therapy Group made of 15. As variables for physical functions, back strength, flexibility, balance and pain were measured and for the health-related quality of life, SF-36 of each group was measured before and after the exercise program. To compare differences before and after the program, a paired t-test was used and to compare differences between both groups, an independent samples t-test was used. As a result of the test, it was discovered that balance and pain of the both groups were improved statistically significantly. Physical functions of the Nintendo Wii Sports Group were improved statistically significantly in comparison with those of the Physical Therapy Group. The health-related quality of life was improved statistically significantly only for the Nintendo Wii Sports Group. In conclusion, it is suggested that as the virtual reality exercise program had a positive influence on chronic back pain of industrial workers, it should be considered as a home exercise program for back pain control.
Validation of a Path Model on Clinical Practice Competency of the Nursing Students

This study examined the fitness of a path model on the relationship among critical thinking, career identity, nursing professional self-concept, satisfaction of clinical practice, and clinical practice competency for nursing students. The subjects consisted of 581 nursing students and data was collected through self-report questionnaires. The data was analyzed by the SPSS and AMOS programs. Critical thinking, career identity, nursing professional self-concept, and satisfaction of clinical practice showed a direct effect on clinical practice competency for nursing students. Critical thinking and career identity showed an indirect effect on clinical practice competency for nursing students. Critical thinking and career identity showed a direct effect on nursing professional self-concept and satisfaction of clinical practice for nursing students. We consider the cause which affects the clinical practice competency of student nurses and study on the reasonable and effective curriculum and teaching and learning program.
The Effect of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation(PNF) on Swallowing Function of the Stroke Patients

The purpose of this study was to identify an effects of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation(PNF) on swallowing function of the stroke patients. For this purpose, subjects were 9 experimental group and 9 control group of the stoke patients. The experimental group has been proceeded total 12 times based on 3 times per 30~50 minutes at a supplied place in the PNF program. The results of this study were as follows. First, the dysphagia scale of the experimental group that was provided with PNF, had a considerable statistic difference. Secondly, the oral pharyngeal functions of the experimental group that was provided with PNF, had a considerable statistic difference. Thirdly, the swallowing speed of the experimental group that was provided with PNF, had a statistic difference in the swallowing speed reduced of the first set, in total. Therefore, PNF is informed to have a effect in advancing the swallowing function of the stroke patients. And in the future, it is considered that researches that it develops the motor program in which the various techniques are combined and it can contribute to the swallowing functions for patients of stroke.
Pain, perceived exercise barriers, and related factors in arthritis patients

This study aimed to investigate pain, perceived exercise barriers, and related factors in arthritis patients. The study was conducted on 140 arthritis patients (89 rheumatoid arthritis patients and 51 osteoarthritis patients) who visited C University Hospital in Daejeon due to arthritis and agreed to participate in a survey. The self-administered survey was conducted from February 2011 to September 2011. The results are as follow. The perceived exercise barriers increased in both groups as the education level and monthly household income decreased. In the rheumatoid arthritis group, the pain became more intense as the self-rated health status became poorer while the perceived exercise barriers became more significant as the self-rated health status became poorer and the patients had other diseases besides arthritis. In the osteoarthritis group, the pain was greater as the duration of arthritis was longer and the self-rated health status became poorer. In both groups, the perceived exercise barriers became more significant as the exercise stage approached the pre-planning stage. The results of the multiple linear regression analysis showed that the most influential factor on pain in both groups was the 'very bad' self-rated health status. In the rheumatoid arthritis group, influential factors on the perceived exercise barriers were the exercise stage and the education level while for the osteoarthritis group, they were the exercise stage and the monthly household income. In conclusion, the results of this study showed that the pain and perceived exercise barriers of arthritis patients were associated with various factors such as the education level, monthly household income, self-rated health status, and exercise stage, which suggests that these factors should be considered in the planning of exercise programs.
A Comparison of the Effects of the Muscle Activity and Balance Ability by a Kind of Ground During Blance Exercise

The purpose of this study is to compare and evaluate the balance and muscle activity after having performed balance exercise at different ground conditions. The subjects were divided into 3 groups; Sand Group(SG)(N=30) and Balance Form group(BFG)(N=30), Hard Ground Group(HGG)(N=30). The period of intervention was for six weeks. EMG for Tibialis anterior(TA), Soleus(So), Biceps femoris(BF) muscle activity, Air-balance system 3D were used as evaluation tools for this study. the change of balance ability and TA, So muscle activity was greater in the SG, BFG than HGG which may imply that sand can be used for the balance exercise like any other ground.

The purpose of the research is to investigate the factors affecting the life quality of oral health according to the knowledge and behavior related with oral health. Total 272 people who work in Gyeong-Nam province participated in this survey. The research shows that major 4 factors are subjective whole body health, ages, dietary pattern and dry mouse. The subjective whole body health and dietary pattern have an positive effect on the life quality of oral health, whereas ages and dry mouse an negative effect on this. As a result, the health and the life quality of oral health should be improved by investigating the factors affecting oral health and thus developing the program enhancing the oral health to prevent oral disease.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the reliability and validity of CDT as a screening tool for cognitive impairment for stroke clients living in local community. Two evaluator assessed 51 clients' cognitive function using CDT and K-MMSE from October 2010 to August 2011 year. The researcher analyzed test-retest reliability, interrater reliability, construct validity, construct validity. The test-retest and interrater reliability was higher than .54(p<.01). The construct validity and concurrent validity was statistically significant(p<.01). So, The CDT using productive method and scoring system of Freedman et al., may be applied to screen cognitive impairment of clients with stroke.
The Relationship between Alcohol Use and Drinking Problems Among College Students

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between alcohol use and drinking problems among college students. Data were collected by structured questionnaires from 400 college students by convenient sampling methods from September 26 to October 14, 2011. Data were analyzed by SPSS/WIN 15.0 program. The results were as follows: According to the Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test (AUDIT), subjects were classified into four groups such as 40.2% of no problem, 36.7% of drinking problem, 6.8% of high risk drinking problem and 16.3% of alcohol dependence. The alcohol use and drinking problems were significant difference for gender, age, type of residence, age of first drinking, cause of drinking, frequency and amount of drinking. The alcohol use was correlated with drinking problems: social function impairment(r=.601, p<.01), behavior problem(r=.579, p<.01), family and interpersonal impairment(r=.637, p<.01). The influencing factors of drinking problems were alcohol use(
=.640, p=.000). This study concludes that it is necessary to establish alcohol use policies on campus and develop temperance education program to reduce alcohol consumption and drinking problems.
Comparison of Peak EMG Amplitude on Low Back Muscles according to Asymmetric Load Center of Gravity and Trunk Lateral Bending while Lifting

This study was aimed at the relationship between peak EMG amplitude on low back muscles acting on L5/S1 and load center of gravity, trunk lateral bending while lifting an object. Musculoskeletal disorders including low back pain can occur even when handling heavy objects only once as well as when doing non-heavy materials repeatedly. 11 male subjects with average 23 age were required to lift a 15.8kg object symmetrically three times. Peak EMG amplitudes on 6 muscles related with L5/S1 were recorded and analyzed. The lifting conditions consisted of lifting symmetric load with no trunk lateral bending, asymmetric load with no trunk lateral bending, and asymmetric load with trunk lateral bending to the load center of gravity within an object. The results showed that peak EMG amplitude on back muscles contralateral to load center of gravity was observed greater in comparison with the symmetric load. Also, in case of lifting asymmetric load the posture with trunk lateral bending increased peak EMG amplitude on muscles contralateral to load center of gravity more than with no trunk lateral bending. This research can be used as one administrative intervention in order to reduce the low back pain incidence with suggesting workers that they keep the trunk not bending to load center of gravity if possible when lifting a heavy asymmetric object.
Effects of Line Dance Exercise on HOMA-IR and Energy Metabolic Factors in Postmenopausal Obese Women

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of line dance exercise on HOMA-IR and energy metabolic factors in postmenopausal obese women. The subjects were 24 obese women composed of the line dance group(n=12) trained for 12-week and the control group(n=12). The variables of body composition, HOMA-IR and energy metabolic factors were measured in all the subjects before and after the 12-week line dance exercise. The results of the study in the line dance group were as follows; The body weight, %fat, BMI, WHR and VFA had significantly decreased, but LBM had increased. The ghrelin, HDL-C had significantly increased, but leptin, insulin, glucose, HOMA-IR, TC, TG, LDL-C, SBP and DBP had decreased. And ghrelin, leptin, insulin, and glucose were the energy metabolic factors affecting the HOMA-IR in the line dance group. Therefore, regular and continuous line dance exercise will be effective for preventing the life-style diseases with improvement of the energy metabolic factors and insulin resistance by decreasing the body fat.

Recently the demand for hospital care increased competition and a variety of new and expansion is a real situation that faced with a situation. These factors, in reality, the importance of the physical environment of the hospital soon for the hospital's survival and development, as well as the native functionality of the hospital to gain the core a competitive edge is being evaluated as a core competence. therefore this study aims to examine the effect of the physical environment of medical institutions on visits in patients satisfaction, worth of mouth and revisit intention. Some useful strategic materials derived from this study could be considerably useful to the managers of medical institutions. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, the key elements which can decide the quality of the physical environment of medical institutions are accessibility, cleanness and convenience. Second, the perceived physical environment makes a positive influence on visits in patients satisfaction. Third, the more satisfaction the customers can perceive, the higher rises the worth of mouth. Fourth, the more satisfaction the customers can perceive, the higher rises the revisit intention.
Factors Associated with Failure in The Continuity of Smoking Cessation Among 6 Month's Smoking Cessation Succeses in the Smoking Cessation Clinic of Public Health Center

This study was performed to investigate the factors related failure in continuity of smoking cessation among persons who were initially successful in quitting smoking for at least 6 months in smoking cessation clinic of public health center. Data were collected with the telephone questionnaire survey and the registered cards from 347 of 6 months quitters from 2006 to 2008 year. Data were analyzed by life table method and Cox-proportional hazard model. In Cox-proportional hazard model, Eup Myeon of residence(HR 2.50, 95% CI 1.69-3.68), without chronic diseases(HR 1.92, 95% CI 1.21-3.04), without another smoker in household(HR 1.93, 95% CI 1.21-3.09) and usage of supplement agent(HR 2.17, 95% CI 1.01-4.68) were independently associated with the failure in continuing to stay smoke-free. The cumulative rate of failure in the continuity of smoking cessation was 28.6% at 6 month and 36.1% at 24 month. For operating a clinic program for smoking cessation, Public health center should makes strategies that a person is continuing smoking cessation for over 6 months after the first 6 momth's smoking cessation.
The Relations among Stress, Ego-Resilience, and School Adjustment Resilience of High School Girl Students

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among stress, ego-resilience and school adjustment resilience of the high school girl students. A cross-sectional, descriptive study was conducted. The subjects were 250 students from 3 high schools located in I city. Data were collected on September, 2010 by using a structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed using PASW/WIN 18.0 program. The mean score of stress was 3.05, among the subitems, the score of the school related stress was the highest. The mean score of ego resilience was 2.86, and school adjustment resilience was 75.58. Stress showed significant differences according to satisfaction level with school and teachers. School adjustment resilience was significantly different in terms of satisfaction level with school and teachers, grade, alcohol drinking experience and having counter sex friends. And there were significant correlations among school adjustment resilience and school related, family related, friend related stress. These results suggest that the school life, teachers, and friends have important duties to improve school adjustment resilience. Therefore, it is needed to develop intervention program considerated school related factors to release stressors of the high school girl students.
Relationship between Cigarette Smoking and Depression Symptoms of High School Students

Smoking among adolescents is a major public health problem. This study was performed to determine the association between cigarette smoking and depression Symptoms of high school students. Data were drawn from the Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey 2009. Subjects were 36,657 high school students living in the community. Adjusting for covariates (sex, school year, school education, economics, school record, hours of sleep per day, self-reported stress, self reported happiness, self-reported health status, suicidal thinking), smoker(OR=1.43, 95% CI: 1.35-1.50), 10~19 cigarettes per day(OR=1.48, 95% CI: 1.22-1.79) and more than 20 cigarettes per day(OR=2.05, 95% CI: 1.59-2.64) were independent risk factors for depression Symptoms. It was found that cigarette smoking is a independent factor related to adolescent depression. Adolescent smoking cessation is needed to management of adolescent depression.
The Comparison of Low Intensity Eccentric Exercise and Dynamic Stretching on Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness

We investigated to compare the effects of a low intensity eccentric exercise and dynamic stretching on symptoms of delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS). The eighteen women who had not participated in a regular exercise programme for the lower extremities in the previous five months were randomly assigned to one of three experimental groups: control group, a low intensity eccentric exercise group and dynamic stretching group. We measured the joint range of motion (ROM), maximal voluntary isometric exercise (MVIC), muscle soreness rating scale and ultrasound image measurement before eccentric exercise inducing DOMS, and 24, 48, and 72 hours after an eccentric exercise inducing DOMS. The exercise programme in a low intensity eccentric exercise group and dynamic stretching group were respectively performed 3 times a week for 4 weeks before eccentric exercise inducing DOMS. There was significantly different between the groups in muscle soreness rating scale and MVIC (p<.05). However, there was not significantly different between groups in ultrasound image measurement and ROM (p<.05). These results suggest that a low intensity eccentric exercise group and dynamic stretching group effectively reduced muscle soreness rating scale out of the symptoms of DOMS. A low intensity eccentric exercise group may be an effective improvement than dynamic stretching group in muscle soreness rating scale.
Risk Factors for Hypertension of Middle Aged Male Workers using Data from Health Check-ups

The present study was conducted to identify the factors related to the hypertension, and to offer the evidence of 1st prevention of hypertension. 2,230 male workers aged 30-59 years were observed the relationships between hypertension and age, BMI, glucose intolerance, smoking, alcohol drinking, regular exercise, eating habits using data from health check-ups in 2011. As a results, the incidence rate of hypertension was 18.8% of 30-39 year old group, 23.8% of 40-49 year old group, 33.0% of 40-49 year old group. The incidence rate of hypertension was significantly higher as age and BMI ascend, and it was higher in the group of abnormal glucose intolerance, regular alcohol intake, no regular exercise than their respective counterparts. The multivariable-adjusted odds ratio of hypertension increased significantly as there is an increase in age, and the group of abnormal glucose intolerance, smoking, regular alcohol intake, no regular exercise. In conclusion, obesity, glucose intolerance, alcohol intake, and physical inactivity are risk factors for hypertension, therefore we need the control of these factors for 1st prevention of hypertension.
The Factors Related to Health Promoting Behaviors of the Late Middle Aged

The purpose of this study was a descriptive research that identified the levels of health-promoting behaviors, previous related behavior, perceived benefits/barriers, self-efficacy, and social support. In addition, it was to establish the relations among the variables, and determine the factors affecting the health-promoting behaviors. Study participants were 311 middle aged between 55-64 in urban areas, and the data were collected through self-reported structured questionnair. According to the results, the mean score for the levels of health-promoting behaviors of the late middle aged was 2.64. Also, among the variables related to health-promoting behaviors, perceived benefits were the highest score (30.7), and perceived barriers were the lowest one (2.08). Meaningful positive correlations were found among health-promoting behaviors and previous related behavior, social support, perceived benefits, and self-efficacy, but perceived barriers showed weakly negative correlations. In addition, the factors affecting health promoting behaviors were revealed in order as following: Previous health related behavior(

=.32, p<.001), social support(
=.28, p<.001), and life satisfaction(
=.13, p<.001), and this model's explanatory power was 68.8%(F=166.71, p<.001). Based on the findings from the study, in order for the late middle aged to have a well-being old age, an health promoting education program including exercises and stress management should be provided to maintain and improve proper health promoting behaviors. The network with the same age groups also should be supported to share useful information and back up one another.
Impact of Social Maturity on Physical Health and Mental Health among Sustained Sport-for-All Participants

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the social maturity of sustained sport-for-all participants on their physical and mental health. The subjects in this study were 190 company employees who were selected by convenience sampling from among the residents in Gangwon Province. The selected office workers continued to participate in sport-for-all programs. After a survey was conduced from November 7 to 25, 2011, the statistical package SPSS WIN 18.0 was employed to analyze the collected data. To find out the general characteristics of the subjects, frequency analysis was made, and the reliability test of the instrument and factor analysis were carried out. Descriptive statistics analysis was made by factor, and multiple regression analysis was utilized to look for connections among their variables. As a result, it's found that the social maturity of the sustained sport-for-all participants made a significant difference to their physical health, and that their social maturity made a significant difference to mental health as well. As sustained sport-for-all participation was found to be correlated to their physical and mental health, office workers should be given a chance to participate in sport-for-all on a long-term basis.

This study was conducted to investigate the association between soy protein intake and bone mineral density (BMD) in women using data from 2008 and 2009 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES). The study sample comprised 686 Korean women who were within the first 12 years of postmenopause and had no history of hysterectomy. Adjusting for age, weight, height and calcium intake, statistical analysis was performed among women under 4 years postmenopausal and at least 4 years postmenopausal, respectively. Among women under 4 years postmenopausal, there was no significant association between soy protein intake and BMD at lumbar spine or proximal femur. On the other hand, in the later postmenopausal women, there was a reverse correlation between soy protein intake and BMD, especially at the femoral neck and the total hip. However, the correlation disappeared with additional adjustment for total protein intake, Na intake and energy intake. In conclusion, there may be no correlation between soy protein intake and bone density in Korean menopausal women.
The Relation between Korean Traditional Fermented Food and Discoloration on Bleached Tooth

This study is to examine the relation between Korean fermented food and discoloration on teeth, which have undergone profession tooth whitening. The color change of natural tooth, which has undergone professional tooth whitening, is objectively measured by dental colorimeter after being immersed in Korean fermented food for certain period. The tooth specimens used in this study are 30 pieces and measured 30 times per one tooth, 900 times totally by dental colorimeter ShadeEye NCC
Dental Chroma Meter. As a result of analyzing the collected data by using PASW(statistical package) 18.0, the significant difference is found (p<0.001) in lightness and yellowness before and after of professional tooth whitening. The lightness and yellowness after immersion is changed (p<0.001) according to time. As a result of examining the degree of discoloration based on type of fluids, the similar difference is indicated (p=0.001, p<0.001 1,2 and 3 weeks after getting professional tooth whitening. As a result, Korean traditional fermented food influences on discoloration on bleached tooth depended on the duration of immersion and the type of fluids. However, this study failed to represent internal oral condition accurately therefore the results of this study could be altered by the internal oral condition, frequency of consumption of food, and the management oral hygiene.
Design of Optical System for LED Lamp using MR16

This paper studies MR16 that can strengthen the strength and make up for the weakness of MR16 by replacing halogen light source using multifaceted Reflector(MR16) with LED light source. To achieve this, developed MR16 for LED applying optical system that four aspheric lens is one sheet. Optical system is designed by optics software and lighting performance of the designed data is predicted lighting simulation program. Also, heatsink's heat radiation analysis program to predict the thermal performance. Finally, optical prototype system based on simulation analysis data is manufactured and the results comparing performance of the developed system and the designed data are follows: Radiation angle was around

The Tracking Photovoltaic System by One sensor Type

While traditional two-axis tracking systems with double sensors had been using two sensors to control azimuth and elevation angle of the sun so that a solar cell module would make a normal line with the sun, this paper proposed a new two-axis system that can achieve the same performance with only one sensor in it. It is Two-axis tracking system that control azimuth and elevation to control to be reduced for solar cell module as proposed tracking system uses 1 sensors and the sun always forms normal. Two-axis tracking system of one sensor method that propose in paper that could reduce electric power consumption and sees than fixed type preventing action and the most efficient driving and needless drive could confirm that generation efficiency of about 23 [%] increases. To heighten efficiency of solar cell doing to receive more sunlights chasing the sun, done tracking device have proceeded a lot of studies in large size way. Therefore, is expected that will do big part in the sun tracking supply through utility study about persistent generation efficiency constructing monitoring system of the sun tracking of this paper.
Implementation of a LED light control module using Zigbee

The purpose of this paper was to make a LED light control module using Zigbee. The module was made so that brightness of the LED light changes according to the ambient brightness. A 8-bit microcontroller was used to implement the module to enable LED dimming and wireless light intensity measurement. Using the proposed method, power consumption can be improved by up to 48% on average, with 3.4-0.4W changes in power. The measured ambient light intensity values are converted from analog to digital and outputted as a PWM waveform. According to the output waveform and changes in the current outputted from the LED driver, the brightness of the LED light is controlled. Also, Zigbee with close-range wireless communication capabilities was used to enable wireless transmission of light intensity measurements.

Blushes are known to generate unwanted nano particles of dust and harm elements in various electro-mechanical home appliances. Subsequently, the blushless type is proposed as an eco-friendly alternative to replace the brushes. Further, the expensive magnetized rotor of the Blush-less DC (BLDC) is to be replaced in SRM, which requires complex control not to overflow the switching current the system within a budget. ED COB Package Using Aluminum Anodization

LED chip on board(COB) package has been fabricated using aluminum substrate and aluminum anodization process. An alumina layer, used as a dielectric in COB substrate, is produced on aluminum substrate by selective anodization process. Also, selective anodization process makes it possible to construct a thermal via with a fully-filled via hole. Two types of the COB package are fabricated in order to analyze the effects of their substrate types on thermal resistivity and luminous efficiency. The aluminum substrate with the thermal via shows more improved measurement results compared with the alumina substrate. These results demonstrate that selective anodization process and thermal via can increase heat dissipation of COB package in this work. In addition, it is proved experimentally that these parameters also can be enhanced using efficient layout of multiple chip in the COB package.
Reliability improvement methods of AF track circuits for the train control system

The AF track circuit that detecting train position and transmitting various train control data for DTG to the train on-board is composed of single operation system. If a failure occurs on this system, the driver should be operate the train by manually until the system is restored, because the system cannot control switch machines and signals by automatically. In this process the human error affects to the train delay, collision, derailment and critical safety accident. Therefore, this document has analyzed the effects that each failure mode influences on system and train, and quantified the failure valuation point and class. Basis on this quantified analysis result, MTBF increased and MTTR decreased and failure number also decreased by adopting the independent installation of power supply, the replacement of defected capacitors, the installation of resister cooling system and the improvement of maintenance methods. And the failure factors of AF track circuits were decreased by conducting the preventive maintenance which is a quantitative way of maintenance system by experience.

To prevent electric shock accidents, an experience education is more effective than indoctrination education. But an electric shock experience education system required a proper physical stimulation on human body to experience electric shock. This paper experiment threshold values of a human body by using Interferential Current Type Low Frequency Stimulator in order to apply to an electric shock experience education system. And the proper stimulation values are calculated according to age (divided child and adult) and gender. Results of this study could be applied to an electric shock experience education system.

In this paper we propose two types of reconfigurable 3-D beam steering antenna for intelligent or smart antenna system. Proposed antennas are composed of triangular(structure1.) or circuler(structure2.) loop structure and bended dipole antenna structure. This antenna can steer beam pattern of 6 direction at xy-plane state (0, 1, 2) and xz-plane state (3, 4, 5) by 4 switch motion with one antenna element. Optimal Parameter Selection of H.264 Encoder For Mobile Devices

As many mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets are widely spread, optimized mobile video encoder used during video recording application is needed. In this paper, we implemented H.264/AVC base profile video encoder on a mobile device and empirically optimized control parameters of the encoder. As the experiment, we more than 100 test cases were designed with varying Lagrangian optimization, Hadamard Transform, search range, I-frame period, and reference frames. During the experiment, we measured picture quality, bit-rate, encoding time, motion estimation time, and power consumption. From the result, we can determine optimal values for the H.264 control parameters.

In a recent mobile computing environment, the research for a transaction model have been actively carried out to deal with real-time transaction. However, the research for recovery model is relatively insufficient. Therefore, it would be very important for mobile recovery methods for database stability, just in case of data loss due to hand-off in mobile computing system. So, further efficient research should be keenly done to reduce I/O hand-off in mobile computing systems. SLL method increases I/O time due to sequential file. This paper have been suggested to efficient mobile recovery method in mobile computing system. Finally, it has been clearly demonstrated for system efficiency, conducting the performance assessment that currently proposed recovery system.

Many researches have been performed to resist buffer overflow attacks. However, the attack still poses one of the most important issue in system security field. It is because programmers are using library functions containing security hole and once buffer overflow vulnerability has been found, the security patches are distributed after the attacks are widely spreaded. In this paper, we propose a new cache level return address stack architecture for resisting buffer overflow attack. We implemented our hardware onto SimpleScalar simulator and verified its functionality. Our circuit can overcome the various disadvantages of previous works with small overhead.

There are still problems have to solve for safety of driving comparing to the upgraded convenience of advanced vehicle. Most traffic accident is by uncareful driving cause of interface operations which are directive reasons of it in controlling the complicate multimedia device. According to interesting in smart automobile, various approaches for safe driving have been studied. The current multimedia interface embedded in vehicle is lacking the safety due to loss the sense and operation capacity by instantaneous view movement. In this paper, we propose a safe dialing system for safe driving to control dial and search dictionary by hand-gesture. The proposed system improved the user convenience and safety in automobile operation using intuitive gesture and TTS(Text to Speech).
Segmentation of Target Objects Based on Feature Clustering in Stereoscopic Images

Since the existing methods of segmenting target objects from various images mainly use 2-dimensional features, they have several constraints due to the shortage of 3-dimensional information. In this paper, we therefore propose a new method of accurately segmenting target objects from three dimensional stereoscopic images using 2D and 3D feature clustering. The suggested method first estimates depth features from stereo images by using a stereo matching technique, which represent the distance between a camera and an object from left and right images. It then eliminates background areas and detects foreground areas, namely, target objects by effectively clustering depth and color features. To verify the performance of the proposed method, we have applied our approach to various stereoscopic images and found that it can accurately detect target objects compared to other existing 2-dimensional methods.
A Design of Advanced Channel Creation in e-Passport

An e-passport is equipped with bio information by adding the non-attachable IC chip with a smart function. In order to solve such a problem, the user's privacy is protected by using the BAC, PA, AA and EAC mechanisms. However, the password key used in the BAC mechanism is made of the combination of the MRZ values. As a result, it is possible to decode the password by using the indiscriminate attacking program after finding out the combined rules of MRZ. This thesis suggests the mechanism with an improved level of efficiency through the time-stamp values by using the information of images and fingerprints and checking the forge or falsification of the e-passport when establishing a safe channel between the chip of the e-passport and the decoding system.
A Study on the Architectural Characteristics of Middle Schools Built in the 2000s - Focused on 'Excellent School Facilities' selected by EDUMAC

During the 2000s there were changes in the educational facility policy having impact on school architecture, such as departmental classroom system by the 7th national curriculum and BTL projects. Especially for secondary school architecture with the new keyword of 'departmental classroom system' unlike elementary school with the well-known keyword of 'open classroom', the emergence of new school architecture was anticipated. For these reasons it is worth while to notice secondary school architecture in the 2000s and this study aims to review the architectural characteristics of middle schools as first step. Cases of 18 schools selected by EDUMAC were analyzed focused on site planning and planning characteristics of each spaces. Through the analysis, the architectural characteristics of middle schools in the 2000s are summarized and comments on some problems are made. In summary, case schools have typical characteristics of Korean school architecture in unit classrooms and block plan for daylight condition. On the other hand, they have more diversity in space organization and facility program. But it leave something to be desired in expressing urban architectural characteristics, traditionality and locality with searching for new school architecture.
Evaluation of Mix Design for Asphalt Mixtures by Bailey Method

In general, there are needed lots of time and experiments for determination of optimum asphalt content and mix design. The experimental results are highly depended on the skill of testers. Bailey suggested the proper aggregate gradation of hot mix asphalt are a function of special size and passing percent of the specified aggregate to reduce the test errors. In this paper, the asphalt mix designs of 19mm dense graded mix and PA-20mm for FHWA were carried out, using Bailey's method. The use of Bailey method can cut down the testing times to get the proper aggregate gradation for asphalt mix design. In case of 19mm dense graded asphalt mixture, the measured values of CA,
are 0.724, 0.440, and 0.455, which are within the suggested values by Bailey. Also, in case of PA-20 graded asphalt mixture, the measured values of CA,
are 0.646, 0.476, and 0.450, respectively.

Construction Project Information System, which has promoted to improve the system during the past five years, is recently required to revise the new Roadmap of this system based on the rapidly changing construction industry's environment. For this reason, the present study was investigated the present condition of construction information, drawn CSF using SWOT method, presented the project direction, strategy, the priority plan, the specific task, and WBS by taskes. This Roadmap may be used to a basis data in measuring the result of construction informatization, and presented to the progress direction of information system in construction field.
Applicability Evaluation on the Analytical Formulas of the Scour Depth Estimation in the Bight River

This research calculated the scour depth of bridge according to inflow and outflow changes of stream's flood discharge and curves by applying scour depth formula for piers and abutments, and by comparing and examining them, evaluated the applicability of scour depth formulas. Overall, if the angles of flood discharge and inflow and outflow increase, the deviation rate of scour depth in bight increased. Especially the deviation rate was 58% at the inflow and outflow angle of
that the bridge plan for this geography need careful examination. Next, as a result of calculating the deviation rate of scour depth at the bight by scour depth formulas, in case of pier, Andru formula showed 58% deviation rate, Laursen formula showed 26% deviation rate, and CSU. formula showed 17% deviation rate. In the case of abutment, Froehlich formula shows 44% deviation rate that when applying above scour depth formulas, scour depth calculation considering repairable characteristics of bight is necessary. Finally, about inflow and outflow angles of
that showed big deviation rate of scour depth, this research performed regression analysis of deviation rates of scour depth due to flood discharge to suggest the regression formula.

In Modern Cities, The 'Cultural spaces or facilities' are the core of the urban activity. And it is the field of urban life which can improve the quality of life and change the human's life style. Also in Contemporary society, Cultural spaces are required to express the social and psychological activity of the city life and the diversity and function of human beings. But most of them are located in the Metropolitan area. In these days, the needs of cultural spaces and facilities in 'Medium sized-cities' are growing. Analysis on Behavior of Vertically Loaded Single Pile included in Pile Group

Static pile load tests were conducted on the two piles which comprised group pile installed in sand and the test results were compared with those obtained from load transfer method. Predicted load bearing capacity of the pile which locates center portion of the group pile was less than that from the load test and the reason is thought to be the densification of the soil due to the installation of the group pile. Predicted pile capacity of the API method, Coyle and Sulaiman method were 77%, 90% of the bearing capacity obtained from the load test, respectively. Comparing ultimate bearing capacities of the pile locating at the edge of the group pile, those predicted by the API method, Coyle and Sulaiman method were 1.1 times, 1.3 times of the bearing capacity obtained from the pile load test, respectively.

Analysis for Impact Perceived Neighborhood Environmental Factors on Resident's Satisfaction of Bicycle Use

As a basic research for revitalization of cycling that is emerging as a means of green transportation, this study aims to analyze the impact of neighbourhood environmental factor perceived by the local residents on cycling satisfaction as the concern for energy and environmental issues is increasing. For this, a survey was conducted through a questionnaire to the residents in Sangju-si and the impact of the perceived neighbourhood environmental factor to cycling satisfaction with ordered logit model was analyzed. The result showed that the factors such as quality of bicycle lane, quality of bicycle conveniences, accessibility of major conveniences, safety of cycling and amenity of street made a significant impact on cycling satisfaction. Based on such result, this study suggested the considerations to be made in designing a cycling environment.
Early-Age Shrinkage and Durability of Shotcrete with Expansive Agent

In this dissertation, the shrinkage and durability of shotcrete were examined. Analysis and comparison of shrinkage against the strength of shotcrete was investigated after performing actual shotcrete shooting for each mix of different percentage of expansive agent. The research on restrained shrinkage with different percentages of expansive agent used (3%, 7%, 11% and 15%) shows that the maximum shrinkage in all samples occurred in between 13-15 hrs after shotcrete shooting. And it is noticed that increasing the percentage of expansive agent can lower the shrinkage. And hence, the 15% of expansive agent not only lowered the shrinkage But it also lowered the strength.
A Study for Introduction of Revetment Construction Certification System

Certification system was recently proposed in Korea to guarantee variable revetment construction methods as well as revetment materials in the progress of investigation of hydraulic characteristics from the real scale test. In this study, the elements required for the revetment construction certification system from existing certification system or ISO were drawn and the introduction of newly suggested certification system results in minimization of trial and error by suggesting the direction of the certification system. The results can be summarized as follows: First, composition of revetment construction certification system follows conformity assessment activity suggested by ISO. Second, certification body must build product certification system as temporary legal certification system in the division of certification system. Thrid, standard for product certification must be prepared with reliable criteria. Forth, legal basis must be supported with opinions of the persons concerned for certification system.
Building Indoor Temperature Control Using Control Horizon Method in Cooling Systems

In this paper, the TOU tariff's based building indoor temperature control algorithm in cooling systems is proposed using control horizon method. A control horizon switching method and linear programming algorithm is used for optimal control, and both TOU and peak tariffs are included to calculate the energy costs. Simulation results show that the reductions of energy cost and peak power can be obtained using proposed algorithms.
Low Concentrated Nitrogen-Phosphate Removal of 4 Strains of Marine Bacteria Applied to Ceramic Media

Changes of low concentrated nitrogen-phosphate removal efficiency were investigated in 4 strains of marine bacteria applied to ceramic media. Marine bacteria were isolated and identified from Gwangyang bay. Growth rates and removal efficiencies of
-N of 4 strains of marine bacteria applied to ceramic media were increased approximately 3 fold and over 30% than control group, respectively. A. hydrophila and P. diminuta had highest
-N and phosphate removal efficiencies, respectively. This results showed that ceramic media is very nice material for improvement of nitrogen-phosphate removal efficiency and isolated marine bacteria may be useful to control nitrogen-phosphate at low concentration in field.
Job Stress Level and It's Related Factors in Firefighters

This study was designed to assess the factor of influence to occupational stress who work in the field of firefighters and questionnaire was uesd to analyse the stress scores and find the primary factors influence to occupational stress. The number of respondents were 408 who received the refresher training and period of investigation was august 2011 through october 2011. A structured questionnaire was employed to evaluate the participants' socio-demographics, job-related factors, health-related behaviors, occupational stress, reaction factor (fatigue, job satisfaction) and buffer factor (social support). Occupational stress and fatigue were assessed using the Korean Occupational Stress Scale-Short Form (KOSS-SF) and the Multidimensional Fatigue Scale (MFS), respectively. The analysis showed that we found a strong correlation between fatigue, job satisfaction and occupational stress. Occupational stress was associated with an increased risk of fatigue and decreased the job satisfaction. In the multiple regression analysis(stepwise), main factor that influence to occupational stress were job satisfaction, gender, age, processing number for a day, exercise. In logistic regression analyses, a higher occupational stress was associated with higher odds of fatigue(High) and the odds was down by 15.0% after adjustment for job satisfaction, gender, age, processing number for a day, exercise. Thus, a job satisfaction promote program for the reduction of occupational stress and the promotion of firefighters's health is strongly recommended.
Solid Phase Extraction(SPE) of Curcuminoids from Turmeric by Optimization Analytical Condition

Turmeric is a medicinal herb with various pharmacological activities. Curcumin, demethoxycurcumin(DMC) and bisdemethoxycurcumin(BDMC) were extracted from turmeric by dipping and ultrasonic wave method. And extraction efficiency was identified using solid phase extraction(SPE). The extracted sample were simultaneously separated and analyzed from three kinds of commercial
reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography using water and acetonitrile as mobile phase with isocratic elution mode. Flow rate 1.0mL/min, injection volume
and column oven temperature
at 425nm wavelength has been conducted. From the experimental results, the optimum mobile phase composition of water/acetonitrile 50/50vol% using RS tech column. It is evident that the amount of curcuminoids extracted(extraction time 4h) by 100% MeOH was higher than any aqueous MeOH composition. Finally, in 100% water extraction, the amount(mAU
mim) of curcuminoids extracted by SPE was 14.3 and 24.5 times respectively higher than ultrasonic wave and dipping method. The shown results can be applied as sources for pharmaceuticals and functional material.
