A study on flow coefficient evaluation by shape change of butterfly valve

Butterfly valves have been used to control the flow rate of various fluids in many industries because it have unique manageability compare to other valves. The flow rate passing through the butterfly valves can be controlled according to the coefficient of capacity calculated by disk angle change. In this study, flow analysis by 3D modeling was performed to derive the coefficient of capacity to evaluate and improve newly developed butterfly valves. Also, required measurement system was established to verify the performance of the valves, and to compare with the calculated results.
A Design and Development of Multi Air gun for suction and shooting a jet of compressed air

The purpose of this paper is concerned with a development of air gun for use at work. A air gun is the tool to remove of cutting fluid and workpiece chip in industrial field used machine tool. And it generally is used to shoot a jet of compressed air. Worker must prepare respectively air gun for suction and shooting a jet of compressed air. Therefore we has developed new air gun. In this paper we research for design and analysis of it. The air gun is composed of body, pipe, opening and shutting unit, turning unit, air tube and elements for fabrication. The developed air gun is experimented to confirm the efficiency.
Plan on the Analysis and Improvement of the Molding process of SCM435 bolt by use of the Finite Element Method

A bolt manufacturing process is completed with continuous forging. Technical and economical success of each process will depend on the appropriate process design and metal mold design for each procedure. This study aims to analyze the moldings of first and second steps among the multi-step molding processes of SCM435 bolt by use of the finite element method in order to achieve the reasonable process. Since the processes of first and second steps analyzed by use of the finite element method consist of axial symmetry, the transformed configuration of material satisfy the dimensions expected in process. In addition, the uniflow line formed in material becomes smooth and consistent over the entire process. Therefore neither molding of material nor inherent defect is expected.
Structural Strength Analysis at Cushion Frame and Back Frame of Automotive Seat

Among the various parts of automobile, automotive seat is the most fundamental item that ride comfort can be evaluated as the direct contact part with human body. Automotive seat must have the sufficient rigidity and strength at the same time with ride comfort. In this study, cushion frame and back frame at car seat are modelled with 3D. There are structural simulation analyses about 3 kinds of tests on torsion strength, vertical load strength and back frame strength. In the analysis result, the initial total deformation and the permanent total deformation has the maximum values of 5.4821 mm and 0.02539mm respectively at the torsion strength test of cushion frame. Total deformations at front and rear end parts of cushion frame become the values of 2.1159mm and 0.0606mm respectively at the test of vertical load strength of cushion frame. In case of more than this load, the maximum value of total deformation also becomes 3.1739mm. The maximum value of total deformation becomes 0.18634mm at 3 kinds of the strength tests on back frame. By the study result of no excessive deformation and no fracture cushion frame and back frame at automotive seat, the sufficient rigidity and strength to guarantee the safety of passenger can be verified.

In this study, 18-inch wheels, magnesium alloy AZ91D was developed and we compared overseas go on sale magnesium wheels and same specifications of the aluminum wheels mechanical properties. Prototype 18-inch magnesium wheels by a low-pressure casting method to achieve the same specifications of aluminum wheels and reduced 26% of the weight, the new edition of magnesium wheels compared to the same level of elongation, tensile strength, hardness. Casting and heat treatment process to improve future need to improve the yield strength is expected.
A Study on the Multi-sensory Usability Evaluation of Haptic Device in Vehicle

A haptic device is regarded as the human machine interface technology for easier, more accurate, and intuitive operation. The purpose of this paper is to study how to improve the cognitive ability of the existing vehicle haptic device used only tactile feedback. In this study, usability evaluation used the multi-sensory feedback which is adding auditory feedback to the existing tactile feedback. The emotional factor that drivers have on the haptic device is extracted by the sensibility analysis. The result of study provides some consideration and direction to need in implementation of a haptic device and it also confirms their possibility meaningfully. And it is possible to suggest the design direction that satisfies the driver.
The Impact of Reviewer Professionalism and Expectation on the Intention to Watch: A Comparison between Commercial and Art Films

Commercial and Art movies have different characteristics even when they belong to the same 'movie' category. This study investigated the differential effects of reviewer professionalism and expectation about a movie on the intention to watch the movie. Based on the survey on young potential movie goers, we found that movie types indeed have significant effects. Specifically, in the case of art movie, people had high level of intention to watch when they were exposed to professional reviews. We found that utilitarian expectation mediates between reviewer professionalism and intention to watch for art movie. On the other hand, in the case of commercial movie, people had high level of intention to watch when they were exposed to amateur reviewers. We found that hedonic expectation mediates between reviewer professionalism and intention to watch for art movie. In result, this study contributes to our knowledge to movie industry through showing that reviewer professionalism have different impacts on commercial and art movies.
The effect of Pre-training and Collaboration script types on Collaboration skills and Shared meatal model in CSCL

This study was initiated with the need of studies to promote learning and use of collaboration skills that learners should have in collaborative learning in CSCL. The researcher carried out research on 96 students taking the course of 'educational methods and educational technology' in K collage to take a look at the impact of prior training on collaboration in CSCL and interaction of types of collaborative scripts. To answer the first research question, the scores of each group's chatting in collaborative learning process and messages represented in the process of task performance based on collaborative skills were measured and analyzed. In addition, to answer the second research question, the scores of each group's shared mental model formulation based on relevant evaluation standards were analyzed. This study results, First, there was no significant difference in the acquisition of collaboration skills caused by interaction of prior training on collaboration and collaboration skills and collaborative scripts. However, it turned out that types of collaborative scripts give significant impacts on acquisition of collaboration skills. Second, there was also no significant difference between prior training on collaboration and the formulation of shared mental model by the interaction of collaborative scripts. However, it is showed that types of collaborative scripts have significant impacts on the formation of shared mental model.
The structural relationships among user citizenship behavior, aberrant user behavior, social connectedness, privacy concern, and user satisfaction

This paper aims at investigating voluntary user participation such as user citizenship behavior and aberrant user behavior in the SNS context. Also it examines on how user participation behavior affects social connectedness, privacy concern, and user satisfaction. The empirical assessment of the research model was conducted using a total of 143 responses. The findings show that user citizenship behavior impacts on social connectedness positively and significantly whereas aberrant user behavior does not influence on social connectedness. Aberrant user behavior is proven not to be related to social connectedness, and to has positive relationship with concern for privacy invasion. Also, the results show that privacy concern is not associated with social connectedness. Finally, social connectedness is shown to be a key determinant of SNS user satisfaction whereas privacy concern is not related to user satisfaction.
Effects of fitness walking exercise on physique, BMI and physical fitness for 5th and 6th grade elementary children

The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze the effects of fitness walking exercise on physique, BMI(body mass index) and physical fitness of 5th and 6th grade elementary children. The subjects for this study were 200 children(57 boys and 39 girls in the 5th grade, and 59 boys and 45 girls in the 6th grade) at S Elementary school in Busan. The students were divided into 3 groups. Group 1 walked more than 500 km. Group 2 walked less than 500 km but more than 200 km and Group 3 walked less than 200 km for 6 months. The result of exercising for 6 months affected the physique, BMI and physical fitness of the students analyzed as follows: In physique, height, weight and BMI had significantly positive increased in the 5th and 6th grade boys and girls in all groups as comparing before and after exercising. In physical fitness, there were significantly positive increased on 50 m run, sit-ups, standing long jump, sit-and-reach, 1000 m run-walk had in all groups by stages(group 1 > 2 > 3) as comparing before and after exercising. In compare groups after exercising, there were significantly positive increased in physical fitness on group 1 more than group 3. These results indicate that fitness walking exercise by long time is effective to improve physique and physical fitness in normal elementary school students. However, for fitness walking exercise of the positive effects are necessary to change of teachers and parents personal mind.

This research focused on the strategy formulation for the Innopolis as a Global Innovation Cluster. The study was performed based on both theoretical study and qualitative study approaches. Particularly, scenario planning as a foresight method was used for the strategy formulation. The major determinants for the success of the Innopolis can be summarized as follows; the enhancement of the host institution for the development of the innovation cluster, the relational capability of the Innopolis among daedeok, gwangju, daegu and the alignment and cooperation of the International Science & Business Belt. In terms of the needs of times, this study regarding the strategy for the formation of the Innopolis as the global innovation cluster is anticipated to be a good reference for policy makers and researchers in coming years.
A Comparative Study on the Working Memory and the Phonological Awareness between Children with Multi-cultural Families and General Families

The purpose of this study is to compare the working memory and the phonological awareness between Children with multi-cultural families and general families. The research subjects were 15 multi-cultural and 15 general primary school students who were attending 1st-3rd grade in D city. Working memory tested K-TTFC-2 by standardized tool. Phonological awareness abilities was considering the age of the subjects, tested phoneme awareness. Data process was conducted by t -test and frequency test in SPSS program. The results were as follows. First, working memory comparison of both groups showed significant differences. Especially had significant difference in chapter 1, chapter 4. Second, comparison of phonological awareness between both groups showed significant statistic differences. Third, the Phonological awareness comparison of both groups showed that there are differences in sound matching(word medial coda), substituting middle sound in monosyllabic words, phoneme switching. This research result is considered that can be used as the fundamental data for the development of the therapy data considering the working memory and the phonological awareness of children with multi-cultural families.
A Study on the Improvement of a Lecture Evaluation Tool in Higher Education -A case of improvement of a lecture evaluation questionnaire in "A" university-

The purpose of this study is to complement the problem of lecture evaluation items and to improve the lecture evaluation items to fit to original purpose of lecture evaluation to enhance the lecture's quality. For this, meanings of good teaching, lecture evaluation domains and elements of preceding study, the contents and problems of lecture evaluation tools in A college were searched, and in this foundation, an improved lecture evaluation tool was suggested. As the result of this study, important features of the improved tool are followed: First, the compositions of evaluation domains, evaluation elements, and evaluation items were reconstituted. Second, to acquire the important information for the better lecture, the items were devised according to the features of good teaching in colleges. Third, the items concerned of evaluation elements which is commonly suggested by the lecture evaluation tools of preceding study were developed. Forth, if there is the information which is required for the enhancement of the lecture quality, the items were developed though the result could not be presented in the arithmetical means. Fifth, evaluation items to improve the problems of lecture evaluation tools which had been carried out in A college were developed.
A Case Study on Economic Effect of KPI for TPM Performance Measurement

TPM(Total Productive Maintenance) is a methodology to improve corporations' productivity and has been employed widely. At the initial stage of the TPM, we need to set basic plans and goals of the TPM. Also, quantization of performance is required through the TPM activity measurement indices to achieve the plans and the goals. We analyzed measurement factors of TPM activity by observation of previous researches and suggest a measure methodology of economic effect for the TPM performance measurement based on BSC and quantification of qualitative measurement.
An Analysis on Consumers' Preference of Agricultural Products Cultivated from Plants Factory System

This study was carried out to find consumers' attributes and willingness to pay(WTP) of agricultural products cultivated from plants factory system. The agricultural products were sorted into lettuce, strawberry, Ligularia fischeri(wild edible greens), and ginseng. We made the questionaires to survey consumers' purchasing attributes and preference of agricultural products. Finally, 200 valid replies were selected to analyze consumers' attributes and to estimate marginal willingness to pay. We used conjoint analysis and multinomial logit model for empirical analysis. MWTPs of commodities are estimated as follows; Lettuce is 1,016KW(100g), Strawberry is 6,014KW(2kg), Ligularia fischeri is 3,652KW(100g), and Ginseng is 5,905KW(100g). Several attributes of consumers' purchasing behavior were identified from this study. We suggested several implications to formulate more appropriate policy of plants factory system.
A Study on Epidemiology of Drowning Accidents associated with Recreational Aquatic Activity

The purpose of this study was to report the incidence of drowning accident in order to prevent and decrease the accidents of drowning. Data were obtained on all accidents of drowning accidents occurred from January to December 2007 were identified by using the Emergency Activity Daily Report Data from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). The age, weather, date, location, time and case of the drowning accident were examined. The Chi-square test was used to compare each group. All comparisons were made at the p<0.05 level of significance. The result show that the age of drowning accidents for victims aged 20-29 was 27.9%, and for victims aged 30-39 years, 18.7%. In reguard to the age group, drowning accidents during recreational aquatic activity was age 20-39; 51(44.8%). In reguard to the locations, the number of drowning accidents in a lake or reservoir during recreational aquatic activity was 62(53.4%). The number of drowning accidents in a lake or reservoir during etc was 51(58%). In reguard to the days, the number of drowning accidents on Saturday during recreational aquatic activity was 30(25.8%), on Sunday 32(27.6%). The weather of drowning accidents during recreational aquatic activity was sunny 60(51.8%), rainy 40(34.4%), cloudy 16(13.8%). The season of drowning accidents during recreational aquatic activity was summer 53(45.7%). In reguard to season, two groups are significantly different. Drowning is a leading cause of injury related accidents. Understanding the characteristics of drowning is the first step to developing prevention strategies that may be beneficial for people of all ages and under nearly all circumstances are increased swimming ability, lifeguard staffing, providing life jackets, and public education activities.
A Study on the interracially Married Female Immigrant's Adaptation of Multi-cultural Families : Qualitative Methods

The purpose of this study was to offer a foundation of developing the more qualitative and individual nursing-intervention strategy for allowing married female immigrants and their children of multi-cultural families to possibly grow and develop as a Korean without discrimination and prejudice in Korean society. Period of data collection in this study was from April 2010 to May 2011. Subjects of this study are totally 13 married female immigrants of multi-cultural families who have preschool children of dwelling in T city. Data analysis is qualitative research that applied Spradley(1990)'s culture-descriptive method. The results were as follows : The common elements, which are shown in married female immigrants, children, and family members of multi-cultural families, were indicated to "social prejudice", "exclusive family atmosphere", "economic difficulty", "coexistent different culture".
An exemplary teacher in a Confucian scholar

This study aims at re-considering an exemplary teacher in Confucian scholar tradition at the present time of education where teacher's authority gathers dust, the relationship between a teacher and a student is getting hard-hearted and the discussion on the role of a teacher and expertise does not reach an agreement. For this, the article discussed it by dividing an exemplary teacher into a conception of authority, benevolence and example. In view from a Confucian scholar's standpoint, this article found that teacher's authority is rational authority, and it is a product of social institution and social role of a teacher. Moreover, more important finding was that reconciliation is highlighted rather than authority. In a Confucian scholar, it is focused on love and benevolence between a teacher and a student by having humanity as the foundation and courtesy as ways and means. Also a Confucian scholar has demanded a good moral character and professional qualifications of a teacher. This study concludes that teacher's authority is made by teacher's professionalism, social roles and spirit of benevolence; also it has been making a conception of a teacher in Confucian scholar tradition. This study suggests that it needs to re-think about the values and meaning of Asian tradition in our educational settings in which western culture and values is influencing Asian societies too much.
The Effect of Emotional Control and Interpersonal Cognitive Problem Solving Ability on Children's Interpersonal Relationship Formative

This study was designed to examine the effect of emotional control and interpersonal cognitive problem solving ability on children's interpersonal relationship formative. The subjects were 133 boys and girls who were day care center in G metropolitan city. Data analysed with t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, regression. The results were as follows. First, there were significant differences in the children's interpersonal relationship formative according to children' sex. There were significant differences in the emotional control and interpersonal cognitive problem solving ability according to their sibling and mother occupation. Second, there were significant correlations between the children's interpersonal relationship formative, emotional control and interpersonal cognitive problem solving ability. Third, the children's interpersonal relationship formative was affected by emotional control and interpersonal cognitive problem solving ability.
The Effects of Nature-Friendly Environmental Education Program on Environmental Pollution Prevention and Practice Attitude of Children

The purpose of this study is to figure out the effects of nature-friendly environmental education program on environmental pollution prevention and practice attitude of children. To achieve this, a survey was experimentally carried out on total 43 five-year old class children in Chungcheong Province-based preschools. They were classified into the experimental group made up of 12 male children and 10 female children, and the control group made up of 12 male children and 9 female children. The results of this study are as follows. First, there was no statistically significant difference in environmental pollution prevention and practice attitude between the control group. And there was an increase of general environmental pollution prevention and practice attitude in the experimental group, showing a statistically significant difference. Second, there was a decrease and an increase of the 'concern about nature', 'aesthetical experience' and 'emotional stability' by each sub-factor of environmental pollution prevention and practice attitude in the control group and the experimental group, respectively, showing a significant effect. And there was an increase of 'activities to prevent environmental pollution' and 'practice attitude' in both control group and the experimental group, showing a significant effect. As stated above, the nature-friendly environmental education program for children had positive effects on the environmental pollution prevention and practical attitude improvement. Consequently, it is proven that this program is useful for improving the environmental pollution prevention and practice attitude of children through education for repetitive life attitude of natural preciousness from early childhood.
Exploring the Effect of Information Systems on Customer Relationship Competency: Focus on Communication and Process Competency

This study examines the effect of information systems through communication and process competency to increase customer relationship competency. This study focuses on the effect of information systems which help internal customers for their work to satisfy the external customers. Based on the data collected by KRIVET and the Ministry of employment and labor, information systems, communication, process competency, and customer relationship competency are examined. The result showed that information system has an influence on communication and process competency, significantly. Process competency affect customer relationship competency positively while communication does not. However, communication has a positive influence on process competency.
The effect of leadership types on achievement goal orientation of the athletes in Physical Education High Schools

To study the influence of leadership types on achievement goal orientation of high school athletes, Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) and Task and Ego Orientation in Sport Questionnaire (TEOSQ) were used to two-hundred-ninety athletes in Physical Education High Schools. The data from the survey were analyzed by SPSS 19.0 and the results of the analysis were as in the following. First, there were meaningful differences in the leadership factors according to the demographic characteristics. Male athletes tended to be more conscious of the individualized consideration(transformation leadership), contingent reward, management by exception(transactional leadership) of the leadership factors. Second, there were differences in athletes' achievement goal orientation. Comparing to the female athletes, male athletes gave more importance on the task goal orientation. Third, there were differences in the leader's leadership types on the athlete's achievement goal orientation. The athletes with self goal orientation and the individualized consideration (transformational leadership) of leadership types showed statistically meaningful differences. The athletes with high self goal orientation had a negative relationship to the individualized consideration and a positive relationship to the intellectual stimulation. The athletes with task goal orientation showed differences in the transactional leadership as well as in the contingent reward.

This paper tried to identify the impacts of job stress on burnout and organizational commitment in the casino industry. Prepared questionnaires were distributed to 300 sample employees working in domestic casino, then used for data analysis 283. The results of this study are as follows: Firstly, dissimilarity have a positive effect on emotional exhaustion. Secondly, role conflict and dissimilarity have a positive effect on lack of accomplishment. And role ambiguity have a negative effect on lack of accomplishment. Also role conflict and dissimilarity have a positive effect on depersonalization. And role ambiguity have a negative effect on depersonalization. Thirdly, role ambiguity have a positive effect on affective commitment. But, job stress have not effect on continuance commitment. This study will be able to contribute raising competitiveness of casino corporate and efficiency of human resource management.
An interactive effect of collective competency and group cohesiveness on team performance

For achieving team performance, organizations should consider member's competency and their collective competency simultaneously. The principal aim of this research is to examine relationships among collective competency, group cohesiveness, team performance. 438 employees composing 52 teams participated in this empirical study. Results show that the mean of member competency was not associated with team performance. Results also show that there was no effect of group cohesiveness on team performance. However, consistent expectation, the interactive effect of collective competency and group cohesiveness on team performance was significant. Implications for future research are also discussed.

Also, in the event that there is no preceding quantitative index calculation, it is impossible for the public society to come to an agreement. Therefore, the development of a shielding analysis simulation methodology that makes data processing modeling that can be interlinked with the urban information system is a very meaningful study. Thus, this study presents urban space shielding simulation technologies and quantitative analysis methodologies using 3D graphic engines and deduces the optimal design by integrating the data of the geographic information system (GIS) in order to suggest the potential as an analysis model that can be used in future urban information systems.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the kinematic characteristics of the thrower's center of mass (COM) and the shot that her performance hits record high for the 29th National Athletic Competition. Two S-VHS video cameras were used to visualize. The Direct Linear Transformation technique was employed to paint a clear picture in the three dimensional coordination. Kwon3D was used to analyze the data. The results showed that release velocity and height were 13.73 m/s and 198.6 cm(119% by height ratio), respectively, which is considered as peak performance comparing an extensive review of previous literature on the shot put. Release angle was
, which is lower than the previous studies. The path of thrower's center of mass is needed to travel in a release direction during the flight phase. The vertical movement of the thrower's center of mass during the driving should be controlled. At release, the perfact timing is required without vertical and horizontal movements of the thrower's center of mass.

A Study on the Model Specification for Supply-Demand Forecast of Hallabong Tangor in Korea

The aim of this study is to develop the supply-demand model(dynamic recursive simulation model) on the Hallabong tangor. In order to analyze the effects of alternative policy scenarios on the Hallabong tangor sector. Simulation runs were experimented for the period, 2011~2021, with three different scenarios. The major simulation results are as follows. The results of baseline show that in the year, 2021, acreage, production, price received by farm would be 2,051.5ha, 62,049.1 ton, 2,537.4 won per kg respectively. The results of scenario I (shipping control scenario) show that in the year, 2021, acreage, production, price received by farm would be 2,079.4ha, 62,984.9 ton, 2,836.3 won per kg respectively. The results of scenario II(the rate of economic growth 3.5%) show that in the year, 2021, acreage, production, price received by farm would be 2,039.5ha, 61,647.5 ton, 2,417.3 won per kg respectively. Finally, The results of scenario III(Survey of experts) show that in the year, 2021, acreage, production, price received by farm would be 2,053.7ha, 62,124.4 ton, 2,574.8 won per kg respectively. Therefore, economic recession can be a negative role in the industrial growth and price of Halabong tangor, but expansion of Hallabong tagor's export and processing can be a very positive role in the industrial growth and price of Halabong tangor.
A Comparison of Chest Compression Quality According to 2 Rescuers' Teamwork-Oriented Encouragement Method in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation(CPR) Guidelines for 2010

The purpose of this study was to examine difference in quality of chest compression according to encouragement method of focusing on two rescuers' teamwork in CPR guideline for 2010. Subjects were randomly extracted the Dept. Emergency Medical Technology students who completed the curriculum of CPR. A group was divided into the group with one-time encouragement(33 people) and the group with continuous encouragement(33 people). Measurement period was progressed from April 30, 2012 to May 7. The collected data were analyzed with SPSS WIN program(version 12.0). As a result of research, the accuracy of chest compression(time, %) was higher(p<.05) in the group with one-time encouragement(118.72 times, 78.54%) than the group with continuous encouragement(95.12 times, 62.96%). As for the recognition of subjective concentration, the recognition as saying of being helpful for concentration was higher(p<.05) in the group with one-time encouragement(3.90 points) than the group with continuous encouragement(3.12 points). Even as for the recognition of subjective fatigue relief, the recognition as saying of being helpful for fatigue relief was higher(p<.05) in the group with one-time encouragement(3.96 points) than the group with continuous encouragement(3.30 points).

Miglitol, a well-known therapeutic intervention agents for diabetes, exhibits competitive inhibitory activity against
-glucosidase and it is usually produced through three sequential steps including chemical and bioconversion processes. Gluconobactor oxydans (G. oxydans) belonging to acetic acid bacteria biologically, converts 1-deoxy-1-(2-hydroxyethylamino)-D-glucitol (P1) into a key intermidiate, 6-(2-hydroxyetyl) amino-6-deoxy-
-L-sorbofuranose (P2) by incomplete oxidation. In this study, we identified and optimized fermentation conditions of CK-2165, that was selected in soil samples by comparing the bioconversion yield. CK-2165 strain was found to be closely related to G. oxydans based on the result of phylogenetic analysis using 16S rDNA sequence. Utilization of API 20 kits revealed that this strain could use glucose, mannose, inositol, sorbitol, rhamnose, sucrose, melibiose, amygdalin and arabinose as carbon sources. The culture conditions were optimized for industrial production and several important factors affecting bioconversion rate were also tested using mycelial cake. Cell harvested at the late-stationary phase showed the highest bioconversion yield and
was critically required for the catalytic activity.
A Study on the Assertive Behavior Among Non-smoking College Students Under Secondhand Smoke Exposure

This study was performed to investigate the factors related to assertive behavior among non-smoking college students under secondhand smoke exposure. Data were collected from 246 non-smoking college students at one university in B city from October to November, 2011 and analyzed by multiple logistic regression. The factors related to assertive behavior were men(OR 3.173, 95% CI 1.676-6.005), with another smoker in household(OR 1.679, 95% CI 1.056-2.983), high level of perceived benefit(OR 2.821, 95% CI 1.044-7.623), high level of social influence(OR 3.753, 95% CI 1.845-7.634), high level of self efficacy(OR 4.140, 95% CI 2.159-7.941). It is necessary to develop and evaluate the health promotion program for enhancing of assertive behavior of non-smoking college students regarding of perceived benefit, social influence and self efficacy.
Comparative studies in Perception of Patient safety culture of Nurses and Dental hygienist

Purpose: The Purpose of this study were to compare the level of perception and to identify factors associated with perception on patient safety culture by nurses and hygienists. Method: The data were collected from september to December, 2010 using Hospital survey on patient safety culture questionnaires. The subjects were 399 Nurses, hygienists, recruited from the hospital in Busan & Kyungnam. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS descriptive statistics, mean and standard deviation, t-test and ANOVA, Spearman rank coefficient. Result: The perception level of nurses on patient safety culture was 3.48. In case of hygienists, the level was 3.51. Compared to nurses, hygienists showed a significantly difference on the items "Staff arrangement"(t=2.841, p<.01) and "Administator attitude"(t=-2.471, p<.05), "Feedback and communication in accident"(t=-3.356, p<.01). Nurses and hygienists' age and career, working hour per week were identified as factor associated with patient safety culture. Conclusion: The perception level of hospital health providers on patient safety culture was moderate. and identified factors associated with patient safety culture were age and career, working hour per week.

We studied the effect of food concentration on grazing, growth and fecundity of cyclopoid copepod Paracyclopina nana. Marine phytoplankton Tetraselmis suecica was used as a livefood for the copepod. Six stage compositions were used and food concentrations for the experiment were 0.5, 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 40, 60 and
cells/mL. Range of food concentrations with 0.2, 0.5, 1, 2, 3 and
cells/mL were used for nauplii production experiment. Grazing rates of P. nana in all developmental stages on the different concentrations were increased with increasing diet concentration. While the growth of nauplius was not affected by increase of food concentration, food concentration outside of
cells/mL range negatively affected that of copepodite. Daily nauplii production was increased with increasing food concentration but
cells/mL treatments were not significantly different with
cells/mL treatment. As a result, optimum concentration of T. suecica for mass culture of P. nana was considered to be 5,000 cells/mL for nauplius stage, 10,000 cells/mL for copepodite stage and adult male, 20,000 cells/mL for adult female, respectively.
The Effect of Foot Strengthening Exercise to Young of Hallux Valgus with Flexible Flatfoot

This study was to evaluate the effects of foot strengthening exercise to improve hallux valgus in young of hallux valgus with flexible flatfoot. Subjects 28 people were randomly divided by the foot strength group(n=14) and control group(n=14). In a period of 8 weeks, they put on I.D.W. Experimental group took foot strengthening exercise for 20 minutes 3 times a week during 8 weeks. Foot structure and max pressure were evaluated by hallux angle, 1~2 metatarsal angle, navicular height, 1st phalange, 2~5phalange, 1st metatarsal, 2nd metatarsal, 3rd metatarsal, 4th metatarsal, 5th metatarsal, mid foot, medial hind foot, lateral hind foot. There were significantly increased by exercise group in outcomes of the structural and plantar foot pressure from hallux angle, 1~2 metatarsal angle, 1st phalange, 1st metatarsal, 2nd metatarsal, 3rd metatarsal, mid foot. The result suggest that foot strengthening exercise is feasible and suitable for individuals with hallux valgus with flexible flatfoot.
Social Network Type and Quality of Life of Elderly People with Dementia

The aim of this study is to classify the social network types among elderly people with dementia, and to examine the relationship of network type to quality of life. This is to identify influence of social network on quality of life of elderly people with dementia. And the study seeks to identify the differences of quality of life among types of social network. The data of 222 elderly people used in this study were collected from the health center and elderly people with dementia living in the community. The interview was conducted from July 17 to August 31 in 2012 using a structured questionnaire. Descriptive statistics, one way ANOVA, multiple regression analysis and also cluster analysis with the SPSS 18.0 program were used to analyze the data. As a results, three network types were classified.:(1) inactive isolated, (2) active independent (3) inactive dependent networks. Respondents in the different network type are found to have different degrees of quality of life. Respondents inactive independent network is reported to have the highest quality of life, while those with inactive isolated network are the lowest. The results of the study suggest that the classification of network types allows consideration of the interpersonal environments of elderly people with dementia. The relative effects on quality of life for elderly people with dementia, evident in the current analysis, are the case in point. Therefore Social service programs should focus on different groups based on social network type.
Current Trends and Future-Oriented View of Clinical Measurement Used by Neurological Occupational Therapist

Occupational therapist is required for patient-centered approaches to actively seek the perspectives of patients and their families in clinical settings. The purpose of this study was to investigate the current trends and to suggest future-oriented view of examination and assessment used by neurological occupational therapist in clinical settings. Sixty-six occupational therapists who work in persons with neurological disorders participated in this study. The survey was measured from Seoul and GyeongGi by means of E-mail about commonly used assessment tools and selecting considerations. The participants were 66 neurological occupational therapists. The number of patients by one day was from 10 to 14 persons, and the length of time for initial evaluation was 20-40 minutes per one patient, and reexamination periods was every 1 month or as functional changes were detected. The using tool was not limited only neurological tools, and choice consideration was the reliability and validity of clinical measures. The most frequently used tools for adults were: JHFT for motor function in upper extremity, MMSE-K for cognitive perceptual assessment, MBI for daily activity assessment, and COPM for occupational performance. The most frequently used tools for child were: MVPT for cognitive perceptual assessment and Wee-FIM for daily activity assessment. The results of this study suggest that it is necessary to integrate and associate patient-report, care-giver report, and results of performance-based assessment for estimating plan of care more quality.
Evaluation of Critical Patient Severity Classification System(CPSCS) for neurocritical patients in intensive unit

This study was done to identify the evaluation of CPSCS for neurocritical patients and provide effective nursing interventions for these patients. Data were collected from medical records of 203 neurocritical patients over 18 years of age who were admitted to the ICU of C University Hospital during the period from January 2008 to May 2009 and from October 2011 to December 2011. Collected data were analyzed through t-test, ANOVA test, Person's correlation analysis, trend analysis, stepwise multiple regression. The average CPSCS score was
and there was a significant trendency for higher severity to lead to higher CPSCS's scores(survival: J-T:9.795, die: J-T:5.415, p=<.001). The scores of the respective areas follows measurement of vital sign(
), activity daily living (
), intravenous infusion (
), treatment/procedure (
), respiratory therapy(
). By means of stepwise multiple regression analysis, the intravenous therapy & medication, respiratory therapy, activities of daily living, and monitoring area that contains the model showed a significant (F=2073.963, p<.001), and they explained 98.1% of CPSCS. These findings provide information that is relevant in designing interventions to enhance CPSCS among neurocritical patients in hospital.
Critical Limit Establishment of Sterilization Process for HACCP System of Liquefied Coffee and Sikhe

The purpose of this study was to apply in the HACCP(Hazard Analysis Critical control) system of liquefied coffee and sikhe. The establishment of Critical limit during sterilization processing was measured by sterilization temperature and sterilization time for 30 days from April 1~30, 2012, and it was conducted at P company in Jincheon (Chungcheongbuk-do), korea. As a result, microbial(coliform, bacillus cereus, Clostridium perfringens and yeast & mold) of sikhe and liquefied coffee were detected before sterilization. In contrat, all microbial was not detected to Sikhe(238mL Can, 500mL and 300mL PP, 1.8L PP) after sterilization (
, respectively) and Liquefied coffee was not detected after sterilization(
mins). The sterilizer condition for deciding the most temperature and time were
mins. In conclusion, the sterilization process would be a great alternative to prevention, decreasing and removing of harmful microorganism, such as general bacteria, coliform and pathogenic bacteria etc. Therefore, the critical limit of sterilization temperature and time for quality control and biosafety was established at
mins. And it suggests that HACCP plan is necessary for monitoring method, monitoring cycle, solving method, education, training and record management during sterilization processing.
The Study of Fat Infiltration Ratio in Lumbar Paraspinal Muscle of Patient with Herniated Intervertebral Lumbar Disc

The purpose of this study is to find the relationship between lumber Herniated Nuclesus Pulposus of specific part and fat infiltration in paraspinal muscle. Also we intended to find the relationship between Body Mass Index(BMI) and fat infiltration ratio in the lumber paraspinal muscle based on the sexes of patients. We conducted this study of patients who visited our hospital from May, 2010 to May, 2012. The subjects are composed of 40 patients(20 females and 20 males), who are 30 to 50 years old suffering from severe lumber herniated nuclesus pulposus, who had or were going to have operation treatment. BMI is measured through anthropometry of each patient and fat infiltration inside the muscle is estimated by measuring the cross section area of lumbar paraspinal muscle from mid-cross section of disc(L2-S1) and fat infiltration ratio. The data of this study are analyzed by independent t-test to figure out the difference of fat infiltration between male and female, and by paired sample T-test after getting mean and standard deviation to find the changes of fat infiltration of lumbar on each level. Also correlation analysis is done by setting age as a control variable to find the correlation between BMI and fat infiltration of the whole lumbar. As a result, we could get only the meaningful difference between the sexes on upper lumber part(L2-L3) while we couldn't find any significant difference in the rest of lumbar(L3-S1). Besides, the changes of fat infiltration ratio on each lumbar level increased rapidly from lumbar 3,4 to lumbar 4,5. We also found that there is no correlation between fat infiltration ratio of lumbar paraspinal muscle(L2-S1) and BMI.
Mortality and Potential Years of Life Lost of Colorectal cancer between Korea and OECD countries before and after the year 2000

The present study is designed to compare the mortality and potential years of life lost of colorectal cancer between OECD countries and Korea before (1990-1999) and after (2000-2009) to provide data of more accurate strategy of public health policy and education about cancer treatment and prevention through examining differences of changes among the OECD countries. We statistically compared mortality and potential years of life lost from 32 OECD countries including Korea, except 2 nations with inadequate data, between before (1990-1999) and after the year 2000 (2000-2009) using 'OECD Health Data 2012' using the method of paired t-test. Male mortality of colorectal cancer was increased in 8 OECD countries including Korea and the female mortality was only increased in Chile and Korea. In particular, the increased rate of mortality was significantly high in Korean male and female. Moreover, increased rate of potential years of life lost for colorectal cancer was also significantly high in Korea: the rate in Korean male was increased over three times than in Mexico (2nd rank of the increase) and the rate of female was only increased in Korea compared with other countries, interestingly. Therefore, the present study suggested that most OECD countries well controlled the incidence and treatment of colorectal cancer after 2000 but Korea did not. From these, to control future problems, the further studies for the reason of the increase of potential years of life lost in female will be needed.
Relationships between the Change in Obesity Rate and Risk Factors of Metabolic Syndrome among Middle School Students in Ulsan

The purpose of this study was to provide fundamental materials for improving school health promotion programs by investigating the relationships between the change in obesity rate and risk factors of metabolic syndrome among middle school students in Ulsan. We analyzed the routine health check-up data in 58,298 2nd-year middle school students in Ulsan, which conducted by the Planned Population Federation of Korea from 2007 to 2011. The overall and girls obesity rates gradually decreased throughout the first four years but increased again in 2011. The boys obesity rates were highest in 2008 and lowest in 2010. Throughout the research years, the incidence rates of over-weight and obesity were statistically significantly higher in boys compared to girls(P<0.05). Prevalence rates of the metabolic syndrome, assessed with the modified Cook criteria except high blood pressure, were 0.58%, 0%, 0.01%, 0.31% and 4.53%, respectively in total, low, normal, over-weight, and obese groups. It indicates that the prevalence of metabolic syndrome is increasing and directly related to the obesity rate among adolescents. Hypertriglyceridemia was the most common component (36.58%) of the metabolic syndrome among the middles school students followed by low HDL cholesterol (6.47%), abdominal obesity (3.72%), and high blood sugar (0.47%). Prevalence of the various components of the metabolic syndrome were significantly higher in the obese group compared to other groups. In this study we observed the decrease in obesity rates between 2007 and 2010, and developing obesity prevention programs is essential in order to maintain the trend. Additional study should be necessary to find the cause of increase of obesity rate in 2011 and so to create more effective school health promotion programmes.
The Development of Web-Based Ventilator Management Education Program

This research is to develop the Web-Based Ventilator Management Education Program that reflects the needs of nursing site nursing which is intended to help nursing duties. ISD model-building process has been developed for the analysis, design, development, operation, and evaluation of methods. The education program was developed from April to July 2011, and SPSS 18.0 was used for data analysis. The analysis stage, document review and requirement analysis, content analysis, learner analysis, technology and environment analysis have been executed. Through the processes, higher education requirements for the practical ventilator, a large number of subjects under the age of 30, and the career of less than 3 years of ICU were searched. At the design stage, the education content that was presented by the content expert group was executed in information design, mutual interaction design, synchronization design through discussion with program experts. At the development stage, author made the story flow and gathered data and integrated it through the review of related document and data. At the operation and evaluation stage, author executed the developed program and revised and supplemented it on the basis of the evaluation results through the experts and subjects evaluation. The Web-Based Ventilator Management Education Program could contribute to the improvement of nursing because the program has been developed to reflect the diverse needs of nursing practice in the process of building program.
Endotracheal Intubation of Paramedics in a Moving Ambulance

The purpose of this study is to perform the effectively advanced airway management in an emergency patient with cardiac arrest and trauma by comparing the appearance of influence in a change of visual-field height upon endotracheal intubation according to a change in position with intubation of paramedics in a moving ambulance and by analyzing the appearance of the influence in a patient's change in position with intubation upon speed in endotracheal intubation. Research subjects were randomly extracted 60(30 people for control group, 30 people for experimental group) people as the paramedics who are working at 13 fire stations in C Province. Data analysis was carried out
-test, independent t-test, paired t-test by using SPSS WIN 14.0 Version. As a result of research, to improve speed of the advanced airway management, it is considered to be likely effective in a patient's sniffing position and in the endotracheal intubation in the upper space of the main stretcher. The self-confidence in intubation after experiment increased significantly. Thus, the continuous education(training) on the intubation position and method within ambulance is considered to be likely needed for improving efficiency of the advanced airway management.
A research on improving signal to noise ratio for magnetic resonance imaging through increasing filling factor inside surface coil

MRI signals are significantly reduced by the magnetic field inhomogenity result from human body itself being consisted of various materials like air, fat, muscle, bone and blood vessels. In this study we used silicon which is tissue equivalent to compensate wound body shapes. Objects were eight adults who do not have any special symptoms. Feet were scanned because of their complicated structures and consequently signal reduction occurs a lot. Thirty images were acquired from the middle of arcus pedis longitudinalis including five distal phalanges parallel to the line connecting metatarsal bone and phalanges. SNR data from bones and soft tissues were compared before and after sticking silion between toes and paired t test was performed. It was came out that SNR data from bone and soft tissue were both significantly higher after applying silicon on both T1 and T2 weighted images and it was statistically meaningful having positive corelation. As a result, this study dramatically increases SNR without affecting object by increasing the object volume inside the surface coil.

This study is Carpal tunnel syndrome(CTS) disorder of median nerve at wrist. It is usually diagnosed through clinical manifestation and Nerve Conduction Study(NCS). NCS was normal range after operation than before in Sensory nerve conduction study 4 patients's and Motor nerve conduction study 5 patients. Surgery before and after Sensory nerve action potential (SNAP) responses showed improvement over the previous results. Forward by the patient's occupation and occupation patterns of CTS, other treatment methods and surgical treatment of CTS by comparing the degree of improvement to identify and correct nerve conduction study to judge whether the patient's operation.
The changes of cerebral blood flow by brain imaging algorithm in the Normal Brains : Analysis by Statistical Parametric Mapping

Single Photon Emission Computed tomography(SPECT) was performed on 13 healthy adults (average age: 39) to investigate the changes of cerebral blood flow according to brain imaging analysis algorithm. The acquired images were filtered and reconstructed through Filtered Back Projection (FBP) and Ordered Subset Expectation Maximization (OSEM). The brain distribution data of radiopharmaceuticals were compared using Statistical Parametric Mapping (SPM), and the changes of blood flow was expressed in Cluster. As a result, uptake rate was increased in Sub-gyral, Sub-Lobar, Extra-Nuclear, Limbic lobe and Cingulate Gyrus, while uptake rate was decreased in Middle frontal gyrus, Inferior Frontal Gyrus and Precentral Gyrus. The discriminable SPM was shown according to cerebral blood flows in Cluster by the reconstruction algorithm.
Prevalence of Metabolic Syndrome and Its Associated Factors among Health Checkup Examinees in a University Hospital

The purpose of this study was to estimate the prevalence of metabolic syndrome and determine the distribution of the clustering of the metabolic risk factors, and we wanted to evaluated the related factors in urban areas. 1,388 adults of 30 years and over, not recognized as taking medicines for or having cardiovascular diseases, who underwent health package check-up at the health promotion center of a university hospital. All subjects were measured by height, weight, waist circumference, blood pressure and blood chemistry(lipid profile). As a results, the prevalence rates of metabolic syndrome of study subjects were 21.7%, and the rates of metabolic risk factors were HDL-C, blood pressure, TG, abdominal obesity and FBS in that order. And the factors such influencing on metabolic syndrome as age, BMI, smoking habits, vegetable consumption and family history of the diabetes. Consequently, it is suggested that the evaluation and intervention for lifestyle factors may be needed in order to the risk management of metabolic syndrome.
Weekday Internet Game Times and Domestic Factors of Middle & High School Students

Most middle and high school students in Korea use internet for gaming and recreation. This study aimed to classify middle and high school students according to amount of time they spend playing games and analyze relationship domestic factors. Weekday game times and environmental factors of the adolescents in Korea. The group with average game time of 30 min, 0:30-1:30 hours, 1:30-3:00 hours, over 4:00 hours. Subjects in this study were 6,487 middle and high school students. For the category "thoughts about game characters", the group with average game time of 1:30~3:00 hours replied "not at all" but the group with average game time of over 4:00 hours replied "sometimes", which was significantly different from the previous group. Similarly, for the category "lack of time for homework", the group with average game time of 1:30~3:00 hours replied "not at all", which significantly differed from the "sometimes" response from the group with average game time. For satisfaction with interest, "average" was the most frequent response from all the groups. Analyzing correlation of factors influencing game addiction in subjects with game time showed that factors related to game addiction diagnosis and academic performance were especially different in the group with average game time of over 4:00 hours compared to other groups. Nowadays internet has taken a large and significant part of our life such that a life without internet is hard to imagine, and our dependency on internet has risen at the same time. Accordingly, education on appropriate utilization and correct usage of internet to youths who lack self-control and judgment is very needed.
The Retained Activity Level of the Community Dwelling Healthy Group and Stroke Group Aged More Than 55 years: A Preliminary Study

The purpose of this study was to investigate retained activity and level for community dwelling healthy and stroke group aged more than 55 years, and to identify group difference for following research. Korean-Activity Card Sort was used to collect research data. The equation for calculating retained activity level was used. Descriptive statistical analysis was used to analyze retained activity level in elderly. Spearman Correlation Coefficients applied to analyze the relation between demographic data and retained level of activities. Mutiple Linear Regression was used to analyze the variables affecting retained activity level. The ratained level of activity, the healthy group perform, was decreased on the stroke group. And statistically significant correlative and affecting variables was different between demographic data and retained activity of individual groups. The results of this research, retained level of activities and group differences, can provide the basic data to provide health care services to adapt or replace activity participation of healthy and stroke group aged more than 55 years.
Correlationship researches of Apolipoprotein A1 in body mass index

Recently obesity from the child until being early in the adult, there is to an increase tendency. The obesity influences to various metabolicdisease and there is a possibility of an effect in relationship disease of the heart, brain vascular system etc. This research analyzed the interrelation -ship of apolipoprotein AI consistency and body mass index. It used spss 19.0 with t-test and a regression analysis. Analytical result the interrelationship of apolipoprotein AI and body mass index was -0.484 (p=0.01). The high density cholesterol was 0.89 (p=0.01). The trigriceride was -0.88 (p=0.01). Free fatty acid were not interrelationship. Conclusively, interrelationship of apolipoprotein AI and body mass index was not high. Encourage to examine trigriceride or cholesterol and prevent Arteriosclerosis.
Comparative Modeling of Human Tyrosinase - an Important Target for Developing Skin Whitening Agents

Human tyrosinase (hTyr) catalyzes the first and rate limiting step in the biosynthesis of a skin color determinant, melanin. Although a number of cosmetic companies have tried to develop hTyr inhibitors for several decades, absence of 3D structure of hTyr make it impossible to design or screen inhibitors by structure-based approach. Therefore, we built a 3D structure by comparative modeling technique based on the crystal structure of tyrosinase from Bacillus megaterium to provide structural information and to search new hit compounds from database. Our model revealed that two copper atoms of active site located deep inside and were coordinated with six strictly conserved histidine residues coming from four-helix-bundle. Substrate binding site had narrow funnel like shape and its entrance was wide and exposed to solvent. In addition, hTyr-tyrosine and hTyr-kojic acid, a well-known inhibitor, complexes were modeled with the guide of solvent accessible surface generated by in-house software. Our model demonstrated that only phenol group or its analogs could fill the binding site near the nuclear copper center, because inside of binding site had narrow shape relatively. In conclusion, the results of this study may provide helpful information for designing and screening new anti-melanogenic agents.
Validation of the Korean Version of the Empathy Quotient-Short form

The aim of this study was to validate the Korean Version of the Empathy Quotient-Short form(EQ-Short-K) in a sample of Korean nursing students. A total 528 students(494 female, 34 male) were studied by 2 groups. To provide a validity of the Empathy Quotient-Short form in Korean sample, exploratory factor analysis, reliability test and Pearson correlation coefficient were conducted. In study 1 (N=298), the finding of factor analysis confirmed that 11 of the 22 EQ-Short items were presented as a single-factor structure. The reliability estimate of the EQ-Short-K was high(.88). In terms of criterion validity, the EQ-short-K correlated positively with Interpersonal Reactivity Index(IRI)(r=.279, p<.000). In study 2 (N=230), the finding identified that the EQ-Short-K correlated positively with Interpersonal Competence Questionnaire(ICQ)(r=.351, p<.000). It suggested that the EQ-Short-K had satisfactory internal consistency and validity, thereby the EQ-Short-K can be used as a meaningful measure for empathy among Korean nursing domain.
A Study of Internet Addiction, Depression and Anxiety among Smoking Adolescents

This study was performed to investigate the relations between internet addiction, depression, and anxiety in smoking adolescents. In order to get the data by self-questionnaire, 202 subjects were selected from Aug. 15 to Sep. 20, 2012. Multiple regression analysis revealed that the predictors of internet addiction were average number of days drinking alcohol per month, average daily cigarette consumption and starting daily smoking age. The findings of study will be used for basic information to prevent and control internet addiction of smoking adolescents.
A Novel Algorithm for Deinterleaving of D&S PRI and Stagger PRI Signals from the EP Radar

In this paper, we propose a new method to quickly deinterleave the stagger PRI signals and D&S(Dwell and Switch) PRI signals from the EP radar using the electronic warfare system. While former algorithms were based on stochastic methods only using the first deviation of the TOA of radar signals, this paper uses the first and the second deviation of the TOA of radar signals to deinterleave multiple PRIs of EP radars. When we simulate multiple PRIs of EP radars and test the simulated radar signals using the proposed algorithm, various PRI signals such as fixed, jitter, D&S and stagger PRI are well deinterleaved in a short time. This algorithm is found to be very useful for electronic warfare systems.
Nonlinear Characteristics of Non-Fuzzy Inference Systems Based on HCM Clustering Algorithm

In fuzzy modeling for nonlinear process, the fuzzy rules are typically formed by selection of the input variables, the number of space division and membership functions. The Generation of fuzzy rules for nonlinear processes have the problem that the number of fuzzy rules exponentially increases. To solve this problem, complex nonlinear process can be modeled by generating the fuzzy rules by means of fuzzy division of input space. Therefore, in this paper, rules of non-fuzzy inference systems are generated by partitioning the input space in the scatter form using HCM clustering algorithm. The premise parameters of the rules are determined by membership matrix by means of HCM clustering algorithm. The consequence part of the rules is represented in the form of polynomial functions and the consequence parameters of each rule are identified by the standard least-squares method. And lastly, we evaluate the performance and the nonlinear characteristics using the data widely used in nonlinear process. Through this experiment, we showed that high-dimensional nonlinear systems can be modeled by a very small number of rules.
An Optimized Hardware Design for High Performance Residual Data Decoder

In this paper, an optimized residual data decoder architecture is proposed to improve the performance in H.264/AVC. The proposed architecture is an integrated architecture that combined parallel inverse transform architecture and parallel inverse quantization architecture with common operation units applied new inverse quantization equations. The equations without division operation can reduce execution time and quantity of operation for inverse quantization process. The common operation unit uses multiplier and left shifter for the equations. The inverse quantization architecture with four common operation units can reduce execution cycle of inverse quantization to one cycle. The inverse transform architecture consists of eight inverse transform operation units. Therefore, the architecture can reduce the execution cycle of inverse transform to one cycle. Because inverse quantization operation and inverse transform operation are concurrency, the execution cycle of inverse transform and inverse quantization operation for one
block is one cycle. The proposed architecture is synthesized using Magnachip 0.18um CMOS technology. The gate count and the critical path delay of the architecture are 21.9k and 5.5ns, respectively. The throughput of the architecture can achieve 2.89Gpixels/sec at the maximum clock frequency of 181MHz. As the result of measuring the performance of the proposed architecture using the extracted data from JM 9.4, the execution cycle of the proposed architecture is about 88.5% less than that of the existing designs.

Accidents involving electric equipment and economical loss by power quality deterioration related to harmonics show a rising tendency A passive filter is economic and efficient in suppressing harmonics but many engineers and designers are reluctant to install a passive filter to defect harmonics at their power system because of problems such as harmonic amplification and the probability of generating series or parallel resonance with the power system. This work introduces that passive filters will be very available to defeat harmonic problems of the power system if passive filters are well designed. We describe method and process of harmonic passive filter design. And the passive filter for the power system having harmonic problems due to use of nonlinear loads like as 100HP DC motor system, an extruding machine, an air blower and other loads are designed. Experimental results verify the performance of the passive filter designed by the described method and procedure.
Implementation of Multiple Frequency Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis System for Body Composition Analysis

In this paper, we introduce the multiple frequency bio-electrical impedance analysis method for body composition analysis. And then we implement the multiple frequency bio-electrical impedance analysis system. Overall system consists of: multiple frequency alternating current signal generator contained alternating current signal, phase signal detector, voltage signal detector, micro controller, in-out device(key-pad LCD), conductivity electrodes, system power. We explain the architecture of the system and required theory to implement the system. In order to investigate the clinical significance of the body composition data, compare to the data measured by the expert body composition analyzer which provide high reproduction and precision. Finally, experimental results which are the correlation between the measured data show the very high reproduction performance of the body composition analysis in the proposed system.

Piezo ceramic actuator is used for various industrial products such as spray, dispenser, and valve control etc. Since the deflection of the piezo ceramic element depends on the applied voltage, it is required a power amplifier with high voltage supply for driving the piezo ceramic actuators. In this paper, we develop a simple H-bridge type power amplifier and a compact flyback type high voltage switching mode power supply for piezo ceramic actuators. It is easy to adjust the amount of energy input to piezo ceramic actuator by pulse-width-modulation with H-bridge type power amplifier.

This study uses the algorithm which estimates the magnetic flux using different models in the low speed driving area and the high speed driving area by the voltage-current model synthesis magnetic flux Estimator and, from this result, estimates the magnetic flux angle to achieve the stable speed control through all the areas from the low speed to the high speed drive. In particular, the current change and the magnetic flux change under variable load were estimated in real time in the low speed area and this made the control characteristic improved in the low speed area. According to this, even under variable load, the more stable simulation and experiment could have been completed using PI current controller and PI flux controller in all the areas. As a result, the outstanding speed control characteristic has been achieved.
A FPGA-based Development of Ultrasonic Level Meter for Measuring Oil Levels of Vehicle Transmissions

In this paper a ultrasonic level meter for accurately and simply measuring oil levels of vehicle transmission is developed and its effectiveness is shown by experiments. By using a FPGA, all digital signal processes for the oil level calculation is fulfilled, and the programming on a FPGA project IDE enables very short developing time. And besides, analog circuits including a transmit/receive switch, multi-stage active filters and an envelope detect circuit are designed to process low-level ultrasonic echo signal. Under experiments, the designed level meter has proven to have the accuracy of about within 1[mm] scale.

In the low-density branch line section of domestic railway, the necessity for development of new concept on-board centered train control system which can control the trackside equipment directly from the on-board of train is on the rise since it is problematic in the aspect of efficiency because of its operation in deficits, etc. in accordance with the operation of high-priced wayside equipment being applied to main lines. Accordingly, this paper proposed an on-board control system which can minimize wayside equipment and replace the existing system with it simultaneously by grafting the advanced domestic Information & Communication Technology(ICT), and presented contents of performing confirmation of function through results of concept and detailed design and by building model test environments.

And this is demonstrated that the system using radio frequency is not be affected by the electromagnetic wave with the use of an experiment and by confirming that this u-healthcare remote diagnosis system can not affect the doctors and the patients.
Pattern-Switchable Microstrip Patch Antenna with Loop Structure

This paper presents a pattern-switchable microstrip patch antenna with loop structure. The loop structure for switchable radiation beam pattern is connected with feeding line of the microstrip patch antenna. As changing switch on/off state, the radiation beam pattern can be changed. The target frequency is 2.4 GHz and maximum radiation gain is 3.2dBi. The proposed antenna is useful for diversity antenna and smart antenna in modern wireless communication including MIMO (Multi-Input Multi-Output) and WLAN system. The sizes of the rectangular patch and the ground plane are

It is saving material cost and construction cost by replacing conventional building materials, and It has advantages for aesthetic value. In the Europe, the United States, Japan and other country research about BIPV is actively being carried out and marketability is also being infinity expanding. Arch type PV systems efficiency characteristics is different depending on PV array's directly connection, parallel connection and arches angle, but is a lack of analysis on this nowadays. When the arch type PV system design up, they consider about aesthetic value and they didn't consider about generation efficiency. In this paper, we try to improve the efficiency through optimization of arch type PV system and estimation of the efficiency parameters of the arch type PV system, such as latitude, longitude, temperature, insolation, arch angle and each kind loss from system organization. For improving Arched PV system efficiency, proposed multiple control inverter system, and using simulation tool of Arched PV system "Solar pro", flat-plate type and many arch type PV system configuration the driving characteristics were compared and analyzed.

In LTE-Advanced that different networks coexist, it is considered that it is actually difficult to provide service continuity with a procedural and static control method applied to the existing voice service. This research suggests a resource management framework to support the service continuity effectively based on QoS support. In other words, as context information of mobile terminal and base station changes, set-up of related functions such as ISHO, cell selection, source allocation, load control, and QoS mapping is adapted; each function fits into the change, exchanges the process of reorganization, and interacts; these actions go toward to satisfy service continuity. For this aim, the sequence diagram between the function modules for supporting four kind of ISHO is described and then a scenario for ISHO is considered.

FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) devices are widely used due to their merits in circuit development time, and development cost. Among various FPGA technologies, SRAM-based FPGAs have large cell capacity so that they are attractive for complex circuit design and their reconfigurability. However, they are weak in space environment where radiation energy particles cause Single Event Upset(SEU). In this paper, we designed a controller supervising SRAM-based FPGA to protect configuration memory inside. The controller is implemented on an Anti-Fusing FPGA. Radiation test was performed on the implemented computer board and the result show that our controller provides better SEU-resilience than TMR-only system.

In this paper, we propose a new short-circuit detecting method which can detect bad short-circuits, one of bad types occurring in PCB(Printed Circuit Board), by using SURF(Speeded-Up Robust Features) algorithm. The basic procedure in the proposed method sequentially consists of extracting features from both sample and inputted images by SURF, performing perspective transform by feature matching and matching results, extracting check areas of interest, binary coding and extracting short-circuits, and verifying results. The proposed method focuses on the robustness which can detect bad short-circuits even though the position and angle of PCB are not uniform and arbitrarily placed. Experimental results show that our method enables to detect bad short-circuits regardless of the location and angle of PCB placed variously and validate that the proposed method outperforms the conventional methods detecting bad short-circuits manually on the aspect of both the detection rate and time.

In this paper, we have measured PRR, RSSI and LQI of ZigBee channels under Wi-Fi environment and have assessed channel characteristic and link quality. To confirm any relationship among RSSI, LQI values and PRR under Wi-Fi interference in overlapping and non-overlapping channels of Wi-Fi and ZigBee, the experiments were performed without Wi-Fi, with Wi-Fi and file download through Wi-Fi. Under Wi-Fi interference, We perfomed experiments to ensure channel characteristics and link quality by fixing Wi-Fi and ZigBee receiver and varying the distance between ZigBee receiver and transmitter. ZigBee transmitter sends packet of 256 bits every second to ZigBee receiver. PRR was measured from ZigBee with variance of distance between fixed Wi-Fi and ZigBee. RSSI, LQI, PRR were measured from ZigBee with fixed Wi-Fi, fixed ZigBee receiver and variance of distance of ZigBee transmitter. As a result, we confirmed decrease of PRR under Wi-Fi interference but RSSI, LQI values similar regardless of overlapped or non-overlapped channel and Wi-Fi interference. Therefore, PRR should be used for interference detection in ZigBee communication under Wi-Fi environment but RSSI and LQI are not appreciate.

The important issue that applies security key are secure rekeying, processing time and cost reduction. Because of sensor node's limited energy, energy consumption for rekeying affects lifetime of network. Thus it is necessary a secure and efficient security key management method. In this paper, I propose an energy efficient group-based cluster key management (EEGCK) in the large scale sensor networks. EEGCK uses five security key for efficient key management and different polynomial degree using security fitness function of sector, cluster and group is applied for rekeying and security processing. Through both analysis and simulation, I also show that proposed EEGCK is better than previous security management method at point of network energy efficiency.

However, since the malicious attacker can easily carry out hacking or approach the contents due to the characteristics of the wireless radio wave, the personal information with a high level of importance for data security is easily exposed due to Spoofing, Denial of Service attack and Man in the Middle attack. Therefore, the demand for security is gradually increasing. In this paper, the safe wireless network service environment is provided by supplementing the vulnerability in regard to Spoofing, Session Hijacking and Man in the Middle attack after executing the client's authentication process, the AP authentication process and the Mobile Agency authentication process with the client's information in the USIM, the AP information and the Mobile Agency information when the client uses the wireless Internet through the Mobile Agency AP access in the smart phone environment.

u-Wellness is widely applicable to individuals and medical service providers such as hospitals and it includes u-fitness and video health counselling services at the side of the provider and stress management, obesity management, and the amount of exercise at the side of the individual. In this paper, we design and implement a smart health care system which uses the authentication device to identify an individual and the user's smart phone. Our system records and manages the amount of exercise on the basis of the prescription of health care professionals through the exercise equipment and Wi-Fi communication. Therefore, our system helps user do optimized amount of exercise through the health care professional's prescription. And our system quantifies the results of the measurement of body fat measuring machines and experts to build the database and automatically schedule.

In this paper we suggest multimedia synchronization model that is based on the Petri-net and services desirable quality of service requirement. Proposed model applies variable buffer which can be allowed, and then it presents high quality of service and real time characteristics. This paper decreases the data loss resulted from variation of delay time and from loss time of media-data by means of applying delay jitter in order to deal with synchronization interval adjustment. Plus, the mechanism adaptively manages the waiting time of smoothing buffer, which leads to minimize the gap from the variation of delay time. The proposed paper is suitable to the system which requires the guarantee of high quality of service and mechanism improves quality of services such as decrease of loss rate, increase of playout rate.

In the past, this kind of u-Health system was able to collect sensor datas through wires and could be monitored only by using PC (Personal Computer), but with development in technology, the system is now becoming possible to collect sensor datas wireless and monitor unhindered by time and place. This research aims to collect sensor datas of the user, and through Jena inference network, provide web service and smartphone application which enables checking of user's body datas in times of emergency, whenever, wherever.

Because of ultra-high buildings or deeper underground space, recent buildings have the potential that people who have lack of physical strength collapse before arriving at the emergency exits when catastrophes occur. In case of fire, the way to escape is that first, people take the stairs of the adjacent areas and then use the elevator to the remaining distance by road to escape notice or be safe. For this reason, the skyscrapers guidelines of Seoul for information on the elevator for evacuation has been established. Nevertheless, when designing buildings to install a elevator for evacuation separately is not effective, so passenger elevators installation according to the criteria are encouraged to use as evacuation elevators. However, this does not include detailed design guidelines so far. Therefore, this study was to investigate design method to use the passenger elevator for evacuation according to the domestic law and international installation criteria, and to calculated number of lifts and refuge to use the elevator using by the ELVAC+ and PathFinder evacuation program.

This paper classifies cities in the metropolitan area based on natural hazard vulnerability. The procedure of our empirical analysis is divided into three parts as follows: First, it summarizes variables related to natural hazard vulnerability to significant factors, carrying out principal component analysis. Second, it classifies cities in the metropolitan area, conducting cluster analysis using factor scores. Lastly, it proposes differential measures for natural hazard mitigation for classified cities in the metropolitan area, based on natural hazard vulnerability.
Application of nonlocal elasticity theory for buckling analysis of nano-scale plates

Third-order shear deformation theory is reformulated using the nonlocal elasticity of Eringen. The equation of equilibrium of the nonlocal elasticity are derived. This theory has ability to capture the both small scale effects and quadratic variation of shear strain through the plate thickness. Navier's method has been used to solve the governing equations for all edges simply supported boundary conditions. Analytical solutions of buckling of nano-scale plates are presented using this theory to illustrate the effect of nonlocal theory on buckling load of the nano-scale plates. The relations between nonlocal third-order and local theories are discussed by numerical results. Further, effects of (i) length (ii) nonlocal parameter, (iii) aspect ratio and (iv) mode number on nondimensional buckling load are studied. In order to validate the present solutions, the reference solutions are used and discussed. The present results of nano-scale plates using the nonlocal theory can provide a useful benchmark to check the accuracy of related numerical solutions.
Physical Properties of Shale Aggregate and Characteristics of Concrete in Replacement Ratio in Daegu-Kyeongbuk Region

Sedimentary rocks dug up in construction fields are mostly stockpiled for landfill disposal, leading to an increase in construction costs and construction inefficiency. After screening, some of the sandstone can be used as aggregate; however, most of the shale ends up as industrial waste in practice. In this study, to stabilize the demand and develop resources for alternative aggregates of concrete, the potential use of shale, which is widely distributed in the Daegu-Kyeongbuk region, as a concrete aggregate was evaluated. Red and black shale exported from a Daegu excavation site was selected for use in the experiments and evaluated by comparing with hornfels, which is widely used as a coarse aggregate and is a type of andesite and metamorphosed sedimentary rock. The physical properties of the aggregate were evaluated in accordance with the test methods of KS F 2527 "crushed concrete aggregate," and the compressive strength against the shale aggregate replacement ratio was measured. The compressive strength of the concrete after 28 days was 30.8 MPa when the black shale replaced 100% of the aggregate in the concrete and 31.1 MPa when the red shale replaced 100% of the aggregate in the concrete. Compared with the compressive strength of 37.5 MPa for concrete prepared by using plain aggregate, using shale as a substitute for the aggregate produced an average compressive strength that was 82% of normal concrete.

Roadside barriers are facility for preventing cars from out of path, and 7 classes of barrier are prescribed in criteria of road grades and speed limit, etc. However, overload and overspeed are increased according to improvement of vehicle performance, and falling over frequently occur in vehicle accident related in barriers. Therefore, enhancement of the existing design criteria of roadside barriers is demanded. In this research, vehicle crash simulation was carried out, and the condition for fracture of roadside barriers and vehicle overturn was evaluated in order to verify the defence performance of the barriers, which are SB5 steel barrier and SB6 concrete barrier adapted mainly to highway.

Block shear failure is one of limit states, and demands great caution in designing the tension member or connection joint of steel structures. From many studies and design specification, it is shown that the effect of the bolted connection type on the block shear failure was not considered. In order to investigate the effect of the bolted connection type(bearing type connection and slip critical connection) on the mode/strength of the block shear failure, tensile experiment is conducted in this study. Differences about the failure mode according to the design specification, bearing type connection, and slip critical connection are proposed from the analysis of test results. The variation of the block shear failure strength due to the frictional force in the slip critical connection is also investigated.

Results of in-situ test, laboratory test and strength prediction method for the soft soil underlain by failed road embankment were compared each other. Comparing cone penetration test results with the field vane test results it can be seen that cone factor is 12. Undrained shear strengths determined from the cone factor which was predicted by prediction equation were smaller than those obtained from field vane tests. Among the prediction methods Jamiolkowsky's method gave close strengths to the measured undrained shear strengths by field vane tests and strength ratio were 0.88~1.23.
A Study on the Prediction of Discharge by Estimating Optimum Parameter of Mean Velocity Equation

The accurate estimation of discharge is very essential as the important factor of river design for the utilization and flood control, hydraulic construction design. The present discharge production is using the stage-discharge relationship curve in the river. The rating curve uses the method by predicting the discharge based on regression analysis using the measured stage and discharge data in a flood season. The method is comparatively convenient and has especially advantages in that it can predict the discharge having the difficulty of observation in a flood season. However, this method has basically room for improvement because the method only uses the relationship between stage and discharge, and doesn't reflect the hydraulic parameters such as hydraulic radius, energy slope, roughness, topography, etc.. Therefore, in this study, discharge was predicted using the convenient calculation method with empirical parameters of the Manning and Chezy equations, which were proposed by Choo et at (2011) in KSCE as a new methodology for estimating discharge in open channel. The proposed method can conveniently estimate empirical parameters in both of Manning and Chezy equations and the discharge is estimated in the open channels. There are proved by using data measured in meandering lab. channel and India canal and the accuracies show about determination coefficient 0.8. Accordingly, this method will be used in actual field if this study is continuously conducted.
A Study on Measuring Soil-Water Characteristic Curve Using a Suction Control Technique

Determination of the soil-water characteristic curve is one of the most important things to solve geotechnical engineering problems. Expecially, convenient and reliable method to measure the soil-water characteristic curve during drying and wetting cycles is required with lower labor input, more independence from operator experience, and shorter testing time than other available methods. Many measurement methods including the flow pump system have been developed to characterize the soil-water characteristic curve for the several decades. This study measured the soil-water characteristic curve during drying and wetting cycles using a suction control technique with the flow pump system. Two test materials were used for determination of the soil-water characteristic curve, and it is concluded that suction control technique is suitable for determination of the soil-water characteristic curve and characterization of the hydraulic hysteresis with varying test conditions. Especially, the suction control technique can reduce error of measurement and save time in measuring the soil-water characteristic curve due to automated system and high degree of precision.

This paper is to review and study about the crystallization nucleating agent to improve the heat-resistance properties of poly(lactic acid). Four sub-micron sized nucleating agents, metallic salts of 2,2'-methylene bis(4,6-di-tert-butylphenol), were prepared and used as a crystallization nucleating agent. Seasonal distributions of the viral abundance and physicochemical parameters were analyzed at three different regions in Gwangyang Bay. Morphological structure of marine virus was observed using transmission electron microscopy. Most of marine virus had bacteriophage-like structure, but some were similar with eukaryotic microalgal virus, Ectocarpus siliculosus virus (EsV). Viral abundance at Group 1 (closed eutrophic region) was higher than viral abundances at Group 2 (closed oligotrophic region) and Group 3 (open oligotrophic region). Seasonal abundances of marine virus at Group 1 were dynamically changed. The viral density was variably changed from maximum

in December and maintained middle value in spring and autumn. The concentration of nitrogen and phosphate sources was correlated with viral abundance. Particularly, seasonal change of dissolved oxygen concentration was opposite to the variation of viral abundance. These results showed that viral abundances were closely related with fluctuation of marine physicochemical environment in Gwangyang bay.
The Study on Skin Safety and Efficacy of Codonopsis Lanceolata Root Fermentation Extract

Codonopsis lanceolata belongs to the Campanulaceae family, which is a perennial herb. It is widely used as an antitussive agent and an expectorant in oriental medicine. Codonopsis lanceolata contains large amounts of polysaccharide and phenolic compounds and is known to have anti-oxidative effect and improve immunity. We evaluated the efficacy and the skin safety and stability of cosmetic that is applied Codonopsis lanceolata extract fermented by lactic acid bacteria. As result, formulation of Codonopsis lanceolata extract improved the human skin moisturizing effect, increased TEWL 196%, skin hydration 15%, and the sebum rate 131%.
A study of on site Pilot plant test of drying sewage sludge using Chain crusher flash dryer

Effective drying method of sewage sludge is researched in this study. To dry the sludge, chain crusher flash dryer was adopted to remove moisture content in the cell which is mostly responsible for the sludge moisture content. And Pilot plant experiment was conducted in real life sewage treatment plant to study effect and characteristics of operating conditions. Operating variables include sludge feeding rate, rotational speed of chain, process temperature and feed moisture content. As rotational speed of chain increased, product yield of sludge increased, and the performance of the testing system increased. And, as process temperature increased, the sludge drying efficiency increased. It is found that optimum feed moisture content is at 60% which shows the maximum sludge product yield and about 10 moisture content(%) of sludge product. Sludge feed rate showed optimal value, and when the sludge feed rate is exceeded, sludge product yield did not increased but the amount of residue increased. Pilot plant experiment results are as follow. The optimal condition for the rotational speed of chain 1600rpm(max. speed), final sludge discharge temperature
, feed moisture content 60%, and feed rate 60kg/h. When the plant was operated at the optimal conditions, the final product showed fairly good results such as sludge product yield 85.5%, moisture content 11.0% and sludge drying efficiency 81.7%.
Extraction Characteristics, Antioxidative Effect and Preparation of Collagen Gel of Skate Skin Extracts

To enhance the reutilization of waste skate skin for the functional food resources, the investigations of extraction characteristics, antioxidative activity of skate skin water extracts on the oxidation of three cooking oils were carried out, and rheological properties, storage safety and sensory evaluation of collagen gel from skate skin were performed. Aromatic and phenolic compounds contents of
extracts were higher by 49.4% and 32.7%, respectively, than those of
extracts. Reducing power of extract at
was higher by 52.74% than that of
extract, but was 14.9% of ascorbic acid and 27.8% of BHT. Electron donating ability was corresponded to reducing power and phenolic compounds contents. Antioxidative effect of extracts on cooking oil was higher at
extract, and its order was on corn seed oil, soybean oil and olive oil. Antioxidative effect of
extract showed 38.27~96.83% and 49.53~75.31% of those of ascorbic acid and BHT, respectively, over three cooking oil. The optimum extraction condition for collagen gellation was
, 2 hours extraction under 2.5 folds hydrolysis, and gel strength was lowered above 50% by 10% seasoning.
