Preparation and Characterization of Lightweight Fillers and Inorganic Flame Retardants are Added Polyurethane Composite Foam

In this study, pure Polyurethane and commonly used flame retardants
, the add-in sample and Cloisite Na+, Cloisite 15A added sample of flammability and mechanical properties are compared. Sodium silicate and a mixture of polyurethane that the lightweight filler Vermiculite, Perlite addition of flame retardant and mechanical properties of the sample was confirmed. As a result, the flame retardant additive in the Vermiculite and Perlite in a flame-retardant grade sample except sample were identified. Tensile strength is degrade accord to the filler amount. But, Sodium silicate in the case of the sample add-in, other than confirmed that the sample strength increases.
Mathematical Model of the Edge Sealing Parameters for Vacuum Glazing Panel Using Multiple Regression Method

The concern about vacuum glass is enhanced as society gets greener and becomes more concerned about energy savings due to the rising cost of oil. The glass edge sealing process needs the high reliability among the main process for the vacuum glass development in order to maintain between the two glass by the vacuum. In this paper, the process of the edge sealing was performed by using the hydrogen mixture gas which is the high density heat source unlike the traditional method glass edge sealing by using the frit as the soldering process. The ambient temperature in the electric furnace was set in the edge sealing to prevents the thermal impact and transformation of the glasses and the temperature distribution uniformity was measured. The parameter of the edge sealing was set through the basic test and the mathematical relation with the area of the glass edge parts according to the parameter was drawn using the multiple regression analysis method.
Decision Making Model for Powertrain Mount-Stop＆Go Performance in a compact mobile

This study presents a model to minimize vibration and noise of powertrain mount on a compact car which has the application of Stop & Go performance, in order to reduce CO2 and achieve better fuel-efficiency in accordance with the environmental regulations in automotive industries. In the first step, we analyze the powertrain mount system of the automobile "A" and present variables about rubber stiffness applied on powertrain mount using the Taguchi method. In the next step, we verify the optimization of vibration and noise which meet Stop & Go performance using the AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) method on the proto products for each variable. Using this validation system on the initial stage of the powertrain mount design, it is expected that we can grasp vibration and noise problems caused by engine movements and control them effectively without engineering know-how about powertrain mount rubber stiffness.
Performance Development of 400cc Small Engine Intake Port

Performance optimization of a small engine intake port has been studied through computational and experimental approach. Port angle, flange area and port shape are very important design parameters affecting performance of an intake port. Especially, radius of curvature of intake port inner surface has major effect on the flow coefficient of an intake port. As increasing port angle and flange area, flow coefficient is increased because pressure distribution and pressure gradient in the intake port are improved. Even though computational results over-predict maximum 8% compared with experimental result, they describe the tendency of flow coefficient according to the design parameters. Optimized intake port shows about 4.5% improved flow performance.

The objective of this study is to investigate performance characteristics of the thermal management system for passenger hydrogen fuel cell vehicle under various operating conditions. The thermal management systems comprised of a stack cooling system, an electric device cooling system and an air conditioning system for a passenger room were tested with driving conditions. As a result, in highway driving mode, the cooling performance of the stack cooling system with air conditioning on condition was 28.8 % lower than that of the air conditioning off condition. And cooling load of the electric cooling system in the city driving mode was 65.6% higher than that of the highway driving mode.
Study on Structural Analysis due to Configuration of Seat Back Frame

The Automotive seat is the component related at passenger feeling and safety. It absorbs the impact or vibration and supplies the comfortableness. It must also have sufficient rigidity and strength to satisfy these given conditions. Two kinds of seat models are designed and studied by structural analysis. Seat back frame (b) has lower deformation and fatigue life than (a). Most deformation and damage possibility is shown at the waist, that is the middle of model. On the vibration analysis at which natural frequency is applied, model (a) has the deformation from outside to inside of model, but model (b) has the deformation from inside to outside of model. Model (b) is safer than model (a) structurally at most cases.
Optimization of Ingredients for Vacuum Glazing Pillar Using DOE

The manufacturing method of the pillar is one of the main process where it is used in vacuum glazing and semi-conductor display field. Pillar can be arranged by screen printing method. However it may unable to spread all pattern of metal mask according to the ingredient of the mixture. In addition, spreaded mixture doesn`t maintain the original shape according to the viscosity. In this research, the pillar tried to be arranged through the screen printing by using the inorganic compound of the alumina and silica base. This study suggested a method in which it can decrease the test frequency and design the composition of the vacuum glass pillar by using the mixture design.
A Study on the Modeling and Simulation of an Electro-Hydraulic Power Steering system

Electro-hydraulic power steering (EHPS) system is the power-assisted steering which operates the hydraulic pump by BLDC motors for assisting the steering force. EHPS consists of BLDC motor, gear pump, oil-hydraulic circuit and steering system. Since EHPS is a convergence system consisting of electricity and electronic, hydraulic and mechanical system, it is difficult to establish the simulation model. In this paper, the mathematical model of EHPS system components were presented, and the simulations of the multi-domain system were performed by using AMESim. The trial and error of development would be reduced by using this simulation results, and it would be helpful for developing high-quality EHPS.
Development of A Software Tool for Supporting Metal Mold Design Based on The Pro/E CAD System

This paper focuses on the development of a supporting S/W tool that can minimize designer`s manual operations and errors in metal mold design based on a 3D solid model. The scope in this work includes the offset surface modeling, the computation of the padding force, the generation of material table, the decision of hole position, the estimation of the size of raw material, which are the essential parts of press die and mold design in automotive industry. The proposed system has been developed as a plug-in type using Pro/E API and Visual C++ in order to put the system into the menu functions of Pro/E which is one major 3D CAD systems in the manufacturing industry.
A Study on Motion Graphic about Title Design in Hollywood Movies Trailer

The active use of motion graphic in the production of digital movies contents is a significant way to deliver the contents` messages clearly and intensely. The analysis of film expression characters of digital movies contents based on the motion effect provides a good tool to present an effective method for the production of films using motion graphic. Motion graphic, which can animate motionless movies and graphic images dynamically, is now used as an excellent tool in the editing of digital movies. So, this study aims to show systematically the expression characters of digital movies contents by using the production of films of motion graphic. It also aims to suggest an efficient production of films by analyzing major contents produced with motion graphic and after that examining their types and skills according to the genres and times.
Influence of Psychological Well-being on Highschool Student`s Emotional intelligence and Interior-Exterior Control

The purpose of this study was to discover the relevance between the psychological well-being of highschool students and their emotional intelligence, which functioned as a representative adjustment index in their daily life, as well as their interior-exterior control. To attain this purpose, this study targets as research subjects 402 students who were freshman at two different high schools of Jeju City. The results were as follows. First, female students had a higher level of emotional intelligence than male students had. Second, those with greater feeling of psychological well-being had higher emotional intelligence and interior-exterior control. Third, the psychological well-being had a positive effect on emotional intelligence and interior-exterior control. According to this survey, we need to recognize that there is a close relationship between psychological well-being and emotional intelligence. We also need to strengthen the ability of students to better understand other people through the affective rather than the subject-centered cognitive aspect of counseling education and activities. There is also a need to strengthen their social skills that gives them the ability to deal with and act wisely in human relationship. This can be achieved through counseling education and programs that can promote better understanding of their psychological well-being as well as influencing interior-exterior control.
The Effects of Fundamental Variables on Stock Returns - Evidence from Panel Data

This paper examines the effects of fundamental variables on stock returns. Therefore, the major purpose of this study is to identify fundamental variables having a systematical effect on the stock return. The paper uses panel data analysis. We find that the results of regressions say that firm size, book-to-market ratio(B/M), earning-to-price ratio(E/P), cash flow-to-price ratio(C/P) can explain the differences in average returns across stocks.
Content analysis on experiences in middle aged women participating in Neurofeedback, Cranio-Sacral Therapy and Combine Therapy

The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of Neurofeedback(NF), Cranio-Sacral Therapy(CST) and Combine Therapy(CT) in middle aged women through their experiences after participating these therapies. The participants were 53 middle aged women who lived in S city, 17 in the NF group, 17 in the CST and 19 in the CT, for 10 weeks from October to December, 2007. The NF group had 30 sessions, the CST group had 10 sessions and the CT group had 30 sessions of NF training after 10 sessions of CST. The data was collected from daily chart by self reporting their experiences during sessions. Collected data was analyzed by content analysis. From raw data, 37 items of NF, 91 items of CST and 110 items of CT were extracted in the content analysis. Similar items were gathered to 22 attributes of NF, 63 of CST and 68 of CT. These attributes were categorized into 9 higher attributes. The dominant attributes of NF were doziness during the training, mental comfort, lightening of physical and mental condition. Mental and physical comfort, improvement of sleep, healthy condition, crying were the dominant of CST. Also mental and physical comfort, lightening of physical condition, improvement of sleep, tear were the dominant of CT. According to the results of this study NF, CST and CT were very effective on physical and psychological relaxation. Therefore it is recommended that these NF, CST and CT be used as a complementary and alternative medicine(CAM) in middle aged women.
The Influence of Career Self-Efficacy on Risk Taking Level in University Students

In order to analyze the influence of career self-efficacy on risk taking level in university students, career self-efficacy which becomes the basis of active occupational exploration was classified into four items including self evaluation, goal setting, occupational information and problem solving. Risk taking level was divided into three items of occupational selection, monetary management and human relation. 450 surveys were distributed to four-year university students in Seoul, capital area and rural area for three weeks from November 26 until December 17, 2011, among which 402 surveys were accepted as effective study subjects. Among items of career self-efficacy, most significant influence on self evaluation was shown in group with high risk taking level in monetary management, and problem solving had most significant influence in groups with high risk taking level in occupational selection and human relation. As a result, occupational information was found to have negative (-) influence on all items of risk taking level, with increasing degree of influence on occupational information for subjects showing lower degree of risk taking level. This study provides detailed analysis on individual`s work task called risk taking level based on different occupational types, offering new verification of career self-efficacy as the most fundamental element of occupational exploration to university students looking for employment.
The impact of recognition of spouse`s conflict-coping behavior on self-esteem and depression

This study was a descriptive survey to examine the impact of spouse`s conflict-coping behavior on self-esteem and depression among couples married within 5 years, in order to provide data for education and intervention program of improving their relationships for early marriage couples. Participants were 176 persons who were family members or neighborhood of S college students in Seoul and they were asked to complete questionnaires. Findings showed that there were differences in conflict-coping behavior of withdrawal type according to sex while differences in conflict-coping behavior of physical type and withdrawal type and depression according to age. Differences were found in conflict-coping behavior of language type and depression according to occupation. There were significant differences in self-esteem and depression according to couples` conversation time. Perceived their spouses cope with the conflict in the relationship between behavior and depression, self-esteem appeared to represent an indirect effect.
A Study on the Improvement Plan of Industrial Safety and Health Education for Industrial Disaster Prevention

This study is aimed to provide the basic data for improve plan of industrial safety and health education for industrial disaster prevention. The self-administered questionnaire were given to 167 manufacturing industry workers of 5 manufactural workplace in Kangwon province during the period from March 15th to April 15th, 2010. As a results, The rate of 76.6% in manufacturing industry workers have educational place for industrial safety and health education, but their industrial safety and health education was established in the workplace office, about 44.3%. Industrial safety and health education almost was done by means of lecture. Industrial safety and health education for manufacturing industry worker was done without thinking about general characteristics and kinds of work of manufacturing industry workers. The results of this study indicate that industrial safety and health education are needed to improve the problems. To improve the industrial safety and health education, it is necessary to be established industrial safety and health education thinking about general characteristics and kinds of work of workers.
Factors Affecting the Project Performance of Software Development Outsourcing

SDO(Software Development Outsourcing) projects have been consistently increasing and expanding but also have many failures. In order to improve SDO performance, the factors affecting SDO performance are investigated in this study. SDO has relational risk as well as performance risk in nature, and the factors affecting the SDO performance caused by these mixed risks are drawn from the prior studies. With field survey targeted client IS personnel who experienced SDO, 214 survey questionnaires are collected and analyzed. Research results show that vendor power, client requirements certainty, goal clarity and goal alignment affect the SDO performance. However, vendor knowledge and client knowledge do not have much effect on SDO performance. The results of this study can be effectively utilized to decrease the failures of SDO and increase the possibility of success.
A Study on Needs of Women Immigrants on Life-Long Education

The objectives of this study were to investigate needs and determine the priority of needs of women immigrants on life-long education. The subjects of the study were 121 women immigrants who participated in life-long education programs before. Borich priority determination formula and Locus for Focus Model were used for the determination of the priority of needs. The result indicated that the priority of needs were in order of education for employment, education for child rearing, and education for pregnancy, delivery and health life. The suggestions for program development of women immigrants are discussed.
A Methodology for Hedging Equity Linked Warrant Using Artificial Neural Network

From the perspective of risk management, financial organization that have issued ELW require an efficient hedging methodology due to recently increased trade volume of ELW. This study presents an ELW hedging methodology using artificial neural network(ANN) to minimize hedging costs. The performance of the presented methodology in this study is examined by analysis utilizing the prices and volatilities of underlying assets, risk free interest rates, and maturities and computational experiments show that the proposed method is superior to existing dynamic delta hedging(DDH) technique in terms of hedging costs ranged from 25% to 250%.
The Ontological Thinking of Authenticity in Jeju Architecture

The purpose of this study is to explore the authenticity of Jeju architecture, to give attention to contemporary architecture that we inhabit, and to escape from existing architectural discourse of Jeju architecture. This study seeks the ontological thinking of Jeju architecture on the basis of the judgement of critique and ontology of architecture. The ontological thinking of Jeju architecture can be studied in the aspect of disinterested of authenticity and ontological question of authenticity. As a result of this study, two aspects in the ontological thinking of Jeju architecture are revealed. One aspect of the authenticity of Jeju architecture is laying in the disinterested area. Another aspect is that authenticity of Jeju architecture is revealed through the ontological question of Jeju architecture. These aspects mean the authenticity of Jeju architecture as thinking which represents ontological layer of Jeju architecture.
The Effect of Junior College`s Bachelor`s Degree Course Students` Job-Fit and Supervisor-Fit on Intention to Skill Development : Focused on the Mediating Effect of Job Satisfaction

This study aimed at adult learners attended in a Junior college`s Bachelor`s degree course who experience job-related, relationship-related dimensions in the work life which affect the intention to skill development identified a mechanism that affects an person-job fit, person-supervisor fit relationship between conformity and intention to skill-development in the job satisfaction of the effects of the parameters was assessed. Results of this study validate the hypothesis First, person-job fit, person-supervisor fit job satisfaction the suitability appeared to affect significantly Second, job satisfaction continues to assist in the intention to skill development also appeared to influence. Third, job satisfaction fully mediated the suitability of the intention to skill development even appeared to affect the person-supervisor fit also fully mediated by job satisfaction continues to assist in the skill development affect showed that effect. This study of adult learners in skill-development activities, ranging from environmental factors, identify the cause of that new attempts in terms of theoretical implications with and the company`s human resource management perspective and practical implications in terms of adult education and discuss the limitations of the study was.
Changes in Reaction Time during Mental Rotation of Three-Dimensional Objects for Chronic Hemiparetic Stroke

There is a cause and effect relationship in that brain injury causes impairment of mental rotation and ultimately independent functional activities. The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of mental rotation on reaction time and precision between the normal adults and chronic hemiparetic stroke patients. Thirty-one patients with chronic hemiparetic stroke and twenty normal adults participated in this study. The participants conducted 2 types of tasks for mental rotation: a comparison task using mirror images, and a rotation task using angular disparity images for 2 different 3-dimensional objects. Each of the 3 possible angled shapes (
) appeared in each pair. The test consisted of 6 mirror-reflected image pairs and 6 angular disparity image pairs visualized during angular rotation, and 12 test periods. The subjects were judged on how accurately and rapidly they could distinguish between the mirrored and non-mirrored pairs. The study measured reaction time and precision to compare the effect of mental rotation tasks. Reaction time during all 3 angular conditions were significantly longer in the stroke patients than that in the normal adult during the comparison tasks and the rotation tasks. In addition, precision during mental rotation tasks was not significantly different between normal adults and stroke patients. Our results suggest that rehabilitation therapists should keep in mind that mental rotation is more difficult in stroke population than in normal adults.
Creative Ability Factors Influencing Nursing Students` Problem Solving Process

This study was aimed at identifying the factors of creative ability influencing problem-solving skills for University students majoring in nursing science. A descriptive study was conducted with a sample of 248 students enrolled in a 4-year undergraduate academic program for nursing in one University located in an urban area of Korea. This study used: (a) 25 items of Process Behavior Survey, and (b) 35 items of the Integrative Creativity Scale. The data were collected from Nov. 8th toward Nov. 26th, 2010; the research was conducted through voluntary participation after an explanation about the research. The data were also analyzed with SPSS 18.0 program, using Pearson correlation and stepwise multiple regression methods. Mean score of the level of problem-solving process was 3.62(
). Problem-solving process was significantly related to creative ability(p<.01). Problem-solving process was significantly influenced by flexibility and elaboration in account for 42.4%. These results imply that in order to foster problem-solving ability, nursing professors need to develop nursing students` creative ability and its factors.
Usefulness of Myotonometer for Measurement of Tissue Compliance on Medialis Gastrocnemius in Patients with Stroke

The aim of this study was to find useful parameters of the between myotonometer and surface electromyography(sEMG) on the medialis gastrocnemius of stroke patients and investigate between these parameters and modified Ashworth scale(MAS) relationship. 5 years clinical experience physical therapist using the Modified Ashworth Scale(MAS) was selected 15 patients with ankle spasticity and divided randomly MAS2, MAS3, MAS4 groups. Myotonometer and sEMG was measured during relaxed and maximum voluntary contractions of the gastrocnemius muscle. The results of this study, the higher MAS score was the lowered the relaxation and contraction state tissue compliance and muscle activity and in the correlation analysis the higher MAS score during voluntary contraction in the cylinder receiving low-intensity correlation could see that increased than relaxation. Therefore, the myotonometer is a useful clinical and research tool with spasticity muscle and can provide objective quantitative data about the efficacy of physical therapy interventions.
A Study on Drinking Problems and Depression for Drinking Habits of the College Students

The purpose of this study is to identify the relevance of drinking habits among college students on the creation of drinking problems and behavioral problems and depression related to drinking problems. For this, random sampling was performed on students enrolled in a college located in Chungcheongnam-do from December 12, 2011 to December 23, 2011. For the study instruments, we gathered data using questionnaires in with a survey reorganized based on literary reviews and previous studies. A total of 262 questionnaires have been collected. The results of the investigation are as follows. As a result of performing the frequency analysis to find the drinking habits of college students, 38.2% of them were found as having drinking habits. Also as a result of analyzing whether there is difference of depression levels according to the drinking habits of college students, the instance of having drinking habits had relatively high depression level compared to the instance of not having drinking habits after analyzing by the existence of drinking habit. This study found the relevance of drinking habits among college students which leads to drinking problems and depression to present the objectives for the improvement of drinking habits. Through this study, a policy oriented support of the government related to the specific drinking problem preventing strategies and programs are anticipated.

This study was intended to implement ankle joint dorsi flexion training against ankle muscule strength weakening that erodes stroke patients` gait performance to examine the effect of the training on stroke patients` plantar pressure and gait ability. In this study, 36 stroke patients diagnosed with stroke due to cerebral infarction or cerebral hemorrhage were divided to measure 10MWS which are stroke patients` gait variables maximum plantar pressure by area of the sole by collecting data using an F-scan system during gait. Given these results of the study, compared to other training groups, the ankle muscule strength reinforcing training group showed statistically significant increases of maximum plantar pressure in the great toe, the toe and the first metatasal areas too and thus it can be said that this training increases forward thrust during stroke patients` foot end taking off and positively affects stroke patients` ability to perform gait.

This study was investigate the usefulness of the DSI according to gender. The present study evaluated DSI in Korean population and Thirty voluntary participants (15 males, 15 females) who had G0 on the Grade, Roughness, Breathiness, Asthenics, Strain(GRBAS) and lived in Kyunggi-Do or Seoul, from March 2011 to June 2011. Maximum phonation time, the Highest fundamental frequency, the Lowest intensity, and Jitter(%) were measured using CSL 4500(Kay Pentax. USA). The experimenter explained the subjects the experimental condition and procedures and demonstrated the procedures, prior to the experiment. The result of in this study showed that the difference between males and females were not significants, although the Fhi was higher for females than for males. Therefore, We conclude that the DSI is a useful instrument to objectively measure the severity of dysphonia.
The Relation Among Parenting Stress, Anger and Anger Expression in Infant`s Mothers

The purpose of this study was to examine the relations between infant`s mothers parenting stress, anger and anger expression patterns: The data for this study was collected from 205 among the 3 to 6 years old infant`s mothers who attend to the three kindergartens and seven children`s house. The instruments used for this study were a self-report questionnaire, PSI(Parenting Stress Index Short Form by Abidin), Anger and Anger-expression patterns. Regression analysis was the statistical method used for data analysis. Results: There were significant positive correlations in the infant`s mothers parenting stress, state-trait anger and anger out/in. The results of multiple regression analysis indicated that infant`s mothers parenting stress, state and trait anger were significant variables predicting mother`s anger expression patterns. Conclusion: This study suggests that the parental education program are necessary which a infant`s mother can express positively about anger and decrease parenting stress.

The 4th year medical students were randomly divided and designated as group HF and LF, representing high and low fidelity simulations respectfully. Both groups performed OSCE on 2 topics(adult intubation and IV cannulation) with each composed of the same scenario. Each scenario was developed by a faculty in charge of clinical skill education with supervision from 2 other faculty members. High fidelity simulations were designed as in-situ simulations in real OR. Low fidelity simulations had the same scenarios but the environment was simulated only with a simple task trainer in the classroom. All students participated in series of survey using a Likert scale before and after the simulations. The provided data was anlayzed with paired T-test and Mann-Whiteney test(p<0.05). The post simulations self evaluation score for group HF was lower than pre-simulation self confidence score for both topics of adult intubation and IV cannulation where as for group LF, it was lower only for adult intubation(p<0.05). In group HF, the needs for clinical training on both topics increased after the simulation. In group LF, there was no significant change of needs for clinical training between pre and post simulation survey. This suggest that fidelity may be a helpful factor to improve the motivation of the students and further study on economical aspect should be addressed.

The purpose of the study is to provide the basic data for preventing and caring cardiovascular disease. The study was performed with the data from the same 1,668 persons who had medical checkup three times from 2004 to 2008 at a health promotion center. The related factors were examined with Cohort Study. The result of the study is as followed, The incidence of metabolic syndrome for the subjects from 2004 to 2008 increased; 0% in 2004, 8.3% in 2006 and 12.0% in 2008. Multiple logistic regression analysis showed that the related factors in the occurrence of metabolic syndrome which changed from the non metabolic syndrome group in 2004 to metabolic syndrome were age, smoking, total cholesterol, ALT, and uric acid etc.

The purpose of this study was to compare the health status, sleep and depression and to examine relationships between health status, sleep and depression by employment status in the elderly. This study used the data from the "2008 Korean National Survey on Older Adults" by Ministry of Health, Welfare and Family. Out of the total 15,146 Korean elderly surveyed, 5,204 subjects with job and 9,942 subjects without job at the present were used in a final analysis. There were significant differences in health status, sleep and depression by employment status. As for old adults with job, job satisfaction had the greatest effect on depression, followed by perceived health status, difficulty of daily activities by disease, and deep-sleeping days in the order. These variables accounted for 29% of depression. As for old adults without job, perceived health status had the greatest effect on depression, followed by difficulty of daily activities by disease, deep-sleeping days and total sleeping time in the order. These variables accounted for 32% of depression. Therefore, the health-promotion intervention to improve the health status, sleep and depression of the elderly should be planed and provided considering such differences by employment status.

This study was to investigate the balancing and clinical abilities trunk muscle stabilization exercise and trunk muscle resistive exercise of stroke patients having surface changes in balance of body. The subjects of this study were 30 stroke patients(15 males and 15 females) that three times a week for 12 weeks at the same time point and with the same amount of exercise. They were separated into two groups and did reinforcing exercise on trunk muscle stabilization exercise and trunk muscle resistive exercise for three times a week for twelve weeks. It were measured balancing ability, they performed functional standing balance test, functional forward arm stretching test. performance-oriented mobility assessment, berg balance scale. The balancing exercises were modified from preceding studies and consisted of 6 difference exercises. The functional standing test with open and close eyes and performance-oriented mobility assessment, the trunk muscle stabilization exercise group and the trunk muscle resistive exercise group improved significantly. The forward arm stretching was test the trunk muscle stabilization exercise group more improved. This study found that the balancing exercise on trunk muscle stabilization exercise was more effective than trunk muscle resistive exercise for stroke patients. Thus, trunk muscle stabilization exercise has more positive effects on the improvement of balancing abilities of stroke patients.

This study aimed to investigate the effect of hand grip force on the activity of shoulder muscles in 2 arm postures. The muscle activity of the upper trapezius, lower trapezius, infraspinatus, anterior deltoid, and posterior deltoid muscles in 22 healthy subjects (11 men and 11 women) were measured using surface electrodes during 4 hand gripping tasks (0%, 30%, 50%, and 70% of maximum voluntary contraction) in 2 shoulder positions (neutral position and
elevation position). Among changing grip force significantly differenced infraspinatus, anterior deltoid, and posterior deltoid muscles` activity in the shoulder neutral position(p<0.05). In the shoulder

A study of current awareness and preference on Korean professional baseball team`s promotion for products

The main purpose of this study was to identify the current awareness and preference on the promotions of products in Korean professional baseball teams. For this study, the subjects were randomly selected where they have experienced purchasing any products in the Korean professional baseball stadium. Totally, 520 subjects were asked to answer the questionnaire relevant to the current awareness and preference of promotion of products. There were 11 questions for the current awareness and 14 questions for the preference on the promotion of products. The data gathered was determined within a frequency analysis, an independent sample T-test and one-way ANOVA tests. The results were discussed when the p-value were lest than .05. There were a couple of results found throughout this study. Firstly, there were no significant differences of the current awareness between gender. Secondly, there were significant differences of the preference on the promotion between age(p<.05). Especially, there were significant differences on the value of products and price between 20`s, 30`s and 40`s groups. Thirdly, there were significant differences of the preference on the promotion between level of earing per year statistically(p<.05). In addition, there were significant differences on the price of products between 2000-2500 million won, 2500-3000 million won and 4000 million won groups. Consequently, the product promotion by the Korean professional baseball teams has to be more variety and structured.

The South Korea has the highest overall smoking rates of male among the thirty member-countries in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. This study was performed to determine the association between amount of smoking and self-reported voice problem in Korean adult population using national survey data. Data were drawn from the Korea National Health and Nutritional Examination Survey 2008. Subjects were 3,600 persons (1,501 male, 2,099 female) aged 19 years and older living in the community. Adjusting for covariates (age, sex, education, income, longest occupation, alcohol drinking, pain and discomfort during the last 2 weeks), Severe smoke (>40.5-55.5 pack year), more than 20 cigarettes per day were independent risk factors for self-reported voice problem. It was found that the number of cigarettes smoked per day (CPD) the proportional increased in risk of voice disorders. These findings suggest that the investigation of CPD are required for effective screening of voice disorder.

Look into the nuclear power plant of Wolsong currently, it is controlled in order to required operating pressure with PI controller. PI controller has a simple structure and satisfy design requirements to gain setting. However, It is difficult to control without changing the gain from produce changes in parameters such as loss of the valves and the pipes. To solve these problems, the dynamic change of the PI controller gain, or to compensate for the PI controller output is desirable to configure the controller. The aim of this research and development in the parameter variations can be controlled to a stable controller design which is reduced an error and a vibration. Proposed PI/NN control techniques is the PI controller and the neural network controller that combines a parallel and the neural network controller part is compensated output of the controller for changes in the parameters were designed to be robust. To directly evaluate the controller performance can be difficult to test in real processes to reflect the characteristics of the process. Therefore, we develope the simulator model using the real process data and simulation results when compared with the simulated process characteristics that showed changes in the parameters. As a result the PI/NN controller error and was confirmed to reduce vibrations.

This paper is the research on the heated CWDM optical transmitter for the wavelength compensation at the low temperature. In general, the wavelength deviation of DFB laser is around 0.1 nm/C. The wavelength of DFB laser shifts to longer(shorter) wavelength according to the temperature increase(decrease). Typical CWDM optical communication network has 20 nm channel spacing from reference center wavelength per each channel. There is some limitation problem in the range of operating temperature due to the channel interference. For solving the limited temperature range problem, especially at the low temperature, we use the heater on the DFB laser. As a result, we could realize the CWDM optical transmitter to meet +/-6.5 nm from reference center wavelength in the range of temperature at

Compositional design and optimization of processing parameters are key factors for controlling and improving the properties of electroconductive ceramic composites. Temperature rising time of sheath heater is 1.1 times faster than SiC ceramic heater. Heating insulation of SiC ceramic heater is 2.7 times larger than sheath heater. If SiC ceramic heater is one body type of a product application, contact resistance will decrease. I think that temperature initial rising time is faster than now. The more SiC ceramic heater is used for a long time, the more economic benefit is larger in the view point of heat insulation.
Correlation between Chemical Shift and Optical Properties and of SiOC Films

SiOC films made by the inductive coupled CVD with dimethyldimethoxysilane were analyzed to find out the correlation between the chemical and optical properties by using the Foruier transform infrared spectroscopy, spectrophotometer and ellipsometer. The bonding structure of SiOC film was formed during the depositeion and the adhesion was increased after annealing process. SiOC film decreased the polarization by the chemical reaction between alkyl group and hydroxyl group, and increased the degree of amorphism. For the range of 950 cm-1 in FTIR spectra, the spectra were divided into two types depending on polar sites. The refractive index of SiOC film with the lowest polarization increased and the thickness of that decreased.

Korea Ministry of Knowledge Economy has estimated that wind power (WP) will be occupied 37% in 2020 and 42% in 2030 of the new energy sources, and also green energies such as photovoltaic (PV) and WP are expected to be interconnected with the distribution system because of Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) starting from 2012. However, when a large scale wind power plant (over 3[MW]) is connected to the traditional distribution system, protective devices (mainly OCR and OCGR of re-closer) will be occurred mal-function problems due to changed fault currents it be caused by Wye-grounded/Delta winding of interconnection transformer and %impedance of WP`s turbine. Nowadays, population of elderly people has been increased rapidly, and also an electric wheelchair has been considered as the device for the elderly. Especially, power-assisted electric wheelchair can overcome problems that a conventional electric wheelchair holds, such as lack of movement of wheelchair user. In this paper, we propose the sensors system to measure the driving-will force and perform the control action for a power-assisted electric wheelchair. And motion performance of the proposed system is verified through the experiment.

In this paper, we propose applying differential techniques for 2D/3D video conversion to the objects grouped by depth information. One of the problems converting 2D images to 3D images using the technique tracking the motion of pixels is that objects not moving between adjacent frames do not give any depth information. This problem can be solved by applying relative height cue only to the objects which have no moving information between frames, after the process of splitting the background and objects and extracting depth information using motion vectors between objects. Using this technique all the background and object can have their own depth information. This proposed method is used to generate depth map to generate 3D images using DIBR(Depth Image Based Rendering) and verified that the objects which have no movement between frames also had depth information.
A Study on a Fingerprint Identification System Complemented with Additional Three-Dimensional Information

This study presents a new system that can make up for the decrease in identification rate due to the environmental or physical factors of a fingerprint identification system, which is most actively used among existing biometric systems. Considered most usable in life among many types of biometrics due to the convenience of use, smaller initial investment, and the smaller size, fingerprint identification is widely used in diverse applications. However, a fingerprint identification system has several defects, including environmental factors, physical skin damage, and variable sensor contact, lowering the identification rate in comparison to other biometric systems. On the basis of the existing fingerprint system, this study presents a more efficient system that can improve the identification rate by getting additional biometric information and three-dimensional finger type information through the use of simple and inexpensive additional equipment, which can be used in diverse areas.
Tomato sorting using independent component analysis on RGB images

Tomatoes were harvested at different ripening stages. To determine the ripening stages, We analyzed the relation between the compound concentrations of tomato measured with HPLC and the tomato RGB images. Among the compound concentrations, tomato quality is mostly affected by the Lycopene. The
error of the predicted Lycopene concentration and the corresponding independent component of tomato RGB image, determined from the PLS procedure, was 0.92. and we show the effectiveness of the independent component by comparing the error between the pixel area of RGB image applied by independent component and the simple black white tomato image. This regression made it possible to construct concentration images of the tomatoes, which showed non-uniform ripening. The method can be applied in an unsupervised real time sorting machine of unripe and discolored tomato using the compound concentrations.

This study suggests an indoor screen shooting system that can be connected with diverse graphic contents, through developing a gun only for indoor shooting and developing high-speed laser recognition algorithm. The dedicated gun has strong durability and was applied pneumatic solenoid valve control and invisible laser. The aim is to commercialize the indoor screen shooting system by developing a method of interacting with graphic engine through recognizing invisible laser at high speed.
A Novel Sub-image Retrieval Approach using Dot-Matrix

The Image retrieval has been study different approaches which are text-based, contents-based, area-based method and sub-image finding. The sub-image retrieval is to find a query image in the target one. In this paper, we propose a novel sub-image retrieval algorithm by Dot-Matrix method to be used in the bioinformatics. Dot-Matrix is a method to evaluate similarity between two sequences and we redefine the problem for retrieval of sub-image to the finding similarity of two images. For the approach, the 2 dimensional array of image converts a the vector which has gray-scale value. The 2 converted images align by dot-matrix and the result shows candidate sub-images. We used 10 images as target and 5 queries: duplicated, small scaled, and large scaled images included x-axes and y-axes scaled one for experiment.
A Study on Effectiveness Analysis Methods for V-C System: Applying Effective Based Operation (EBO) Methodology

The principle of Effective Based Operation applied to the Korean Theater resulted in measurable effects to win the minimum battle. Based on the finding, this study recommends the effect analysis methodology under the V-C interoperability system to acquire a weapon system. This method is followed as below; to confirm the effect data on the organized weapon system, to set MOE, MOP and effect considering the purpose of the analysis, to apply the appropriate operational concept and scenario on the weapon system, and then the available C Model is after action reviewed, adjusted, and given feedback. The V-C interoperability system enables to perform the real-time combat experiment under the virtual synthesized battlefield circumstances. The defensive battle organization and displacement of the future anti-tank guided weapon system was considered in the modeling process. Scenario was written, which encompasses company-level units and the battalion-level operation. Then the available AWAM was embodied and effect-analyzed, which formed the foundation of SBA.
FLOW-3D Analysis on Scouring around Offshore Wind Foundation

In order to evaluate the local scour around offsshore wind foundation, mono pile and jacket foundation were simulated by using FLOW-3D. Numerical analysis results show that local increases of velocity around mono pile and jacket foundation was developed but velocity decreases in backward of pile and leg due to the wake vortex was observed. Local increases of velocity around foundation and scouring of jacket is more significant than that of mono pile, since jacket is the complex structure and has the interference effect with legs. Therefore, in order to evaluate the scour and design the scour protection method, the form and shape of substructures of offshore wind should be considered.
Dynamic Characteristics of Laminated Composite Structures for High-Performance Disaster Prevention of Gyeongbuk Infrastructures

The dynamic analysis of delaminated composite structures is carried out based on the higher order plate theory. In the finite element (FE) formulation, the seven degrees of freedom per each node are used with transformations in order to fit the displacement continuity conditions at the delamination region. The boundaries of the instability regions are determined using the method proposed by Bolotin. The numerical results obtained for skew plates are in good agreement with those reported by other investigators. The new results for delaminated skew plate structures in this study mainly show the effect of the interactions between the geometries and other various parameters.
A case study on the lateral movement of bridge abutment foundation and repair methods

In the case of using pile foundation to support bridge abutments on soft ground, the soft ground often causes serious troubles such as lateral movement of bridge abutments by lateral surcharges. In this paper, we investigated and measured the amount of strain of a bridge abutment in the south-western part of Korea. To check the stability and possibility of lateral movement of the bridge abutment, we used the four analysis methods and compared those results; lateral movement index, index for decision of lateral movement and infinite element analysis method. We performed soil and ground tests to fine the causes of the strain and lateral movement. After reviwing several types of repair methods, we suggested the anker reinforcement method along with surcharge process method as a proper repair and rehabilitation of the bridge abutment. Our investigation by through the infinite element analysis method confirmed the effectiveness of the anker reinforcement method allong with the surcharge process method.

Eco-Friendly Backfill Materials with Bottom Ash

Couple of laboratory for controlled low strength materials with bottom ash and recycled in-situ soil have been carried out. The optimum mix ratios for 4 cases with flowability and unconfined compressive strength were determined. The optimim mixing ratios were 25 to 45% of insitu soil, 30% of bottom ash, 10 to 20% of fly ash, 0 to 3% of crumb rubber, 3% of cement and 22% of water. Each mixture was satisfied the standard specification, minimum 20cm of flowability and 127 kPa of unconfined compressive strength. Two different curling methods, at room temperature and wet condition, were adopted. The average secant modulus(E50) was 0.07 to 0.08 *
. The compressive strength at wet condition showed 10% larger than at room temperature. The range of internal friction angle and cohesion for mixtures were 36.5o to 46.6o and 49.1 to 180 kPa, respectively. The mixture with crumb rubber(case 4) showed higher choesion and lower internal friction angle than the others. The pH of all the mixtures was over 12 which is strong alkine.
Influences of Coefficient of Permeability and Coefficient of Consolidation on Consolidation of Nonhomogeneous Soils

In order to find out the influences of the coefficient of permeability and the coefficient of consolidation on the consolidation of nonhomogeneous soils, self-developed program was used. For the purpose of analysis, nonhomogeneous soils of two layers which have various values of coefficient of permeability and coefficient of consolidation were assumed and analyzed by the developed program. According to the results obtained by the analysis, coefficient of consolidation has great effect on the distribution of excess pore water pressure and the consolidation settlement whereas coefficient of permeability has little effect on the characteristics of consolidation of nonhomogeneous soils.
Analysis of Composite Pile Behavior under Lateral Loadings

A composite pile consisted of a concrete lower part with a steel tubular pile at upper part was installed by pre-drilling method. Seven pairs of strain gauges and inclinometer were attached on the pile in order to measure stresses and displacement along the pile during the lateral loading test. The results of instrumentation were analyzed using various theoretical approaches. The back analysis showed that the measured stresses were smaller than those of the calculated. The maximum stress is measured at the steel upper part and decreased rapidly with depth of the pile. The calculated lateral displacement along the pile provide very good agreement with the measured values if the coefficient of subgrade reaction is selected properly. The design concept of a composite pile is verified by the measured stresses and displacement which is within the tolerable limits of the pile.
A Case Study of Post-Implementation Evaluation for Close-to-Nature Stream Improvement Work

This study deals with the case of "Close-to-Nature Improvement Work of Cheonancheon and Wonseongcheon in Cheonan", which has been completed at the end of 2009. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the result of this work and suggest a future direction of development and supplementation of this project. In the course of his study, theoretical researches about urban stream and restoration precedents, observational survey and user questionnaire and comparative analysis have been conducted. According to the study, the most prominent problems of Cheonancheon in comparison with Wonsungcheon are water pollution, low use and participation of residents. As location based future development concept, Cheonancheon as various event space for visitors, Wonsungcheon as recreational space for residents are suggested.
Analysis on location selection of the Memorial Park at Pangyo

Building new town `Pangyo`, it is proposed to estalbish a memorial park. But memorial parks are considered as a `disliked` facilities among people, so its location selection is very difficult to decide. In this study the location possibility is reviewed in two steps through interview with professionals. For selection a location, many components are also checked and evaluated such as natural conditions, technical points and social factors. This study can be helpful to study more location selection for other `disliked` facilities.
