Non-linear Adaptive Attitude Controller Design of Quadrotor UAV

This paper is discussed the design on non-linear adaptive attitude controller for quadrotor UAV. Quadrotor UAV featured to have four rotor, required the special controller to compensate for the model parameter uncertainties as the unstable nonlinear system. In this research, we designed the adaptive controller to compensate for the payload changes even though it is changed with industrial applications. Especially, based on the mathematical model of UAV, non-linear adaptive controller is suggested and the stability is verified using the Lyapunov function and finally proved its performance and effectiveness of update laws with various payload by simulation.
Study on the Characteristics of Control by High Frequency ECU for Braking System

This paper describes the control of a solenoid valve of ESC(Electronic Stability Control) with hydraulic modulator in braking system. ESC ECU(Electronic Control Unit) to control the high-frequency control and slope control method was applied, the surge pressure and EMI(electromagnetic interference) reduction characteristics were studied. The stage of ECU output was added the slope shaping function to reduce electromagnetic emission at higher frequencies. Measurements show that this high frequency ECU manages to reduce the surge pressure and electromagnetic emission by the control of solenoid valve. In conclusion, by using the results of this study for the high frequency ECU control, we could expect enhancement of braking system performance.
Design and Structural Analysis of Electric Saver Box

In this paper, Solidworks was used to do a conceptional design of an box of an electric saver in order to manufacture an electric saver having a different performance and model. Based on this, analysis was made considering weight concentrated on an box. 3-dimensional finite element analysis code, ANSYS was applied to obtain stress, strain and deformation in order to secure durability and these data was reflected to a detailed drawing.
Study on control system design for washer fluid heating system

This paper presents the design of a control system for improving performance of a washer fluid heating system (WFHS) which is capable of removing frost, ice, snow and/or other debris from windshield. First, for the WFHS, a modeling process is described, and the extraction of characteristic parameters of the model are made by experimental studies. Design variables that affect on performance of the WFHS are also presented. Secondly, a control system is proposed for improving heating performance of the WFHS, and its performance is verified through experiments. The key feature of the proposed control system is to regulate the current of a booster converter input to the WFHS up to the target value that is set to guarantee heating performance. Target current is calculated by using initial temperature value and employing the mathematical model derived in the paper. Computer simulation and experimental results show that the proposed control system can perform heating operations in a way to satisfy per-determined target performance of the WFHS.
Analysis of an Inspection Process Allowing Consecutive Two-time Testing of Products Using Markov Chains

When a quality inspection process rejects a product unit, consecutive repeated inspections are sometimes conducted for the rejected unit to reduce a false reject possibility. This paper analyzes a special inspection process that allows up to two times of consecutive testing for each product to decrease type I inspection errors. This study uses a Markov chain to model the steps of the inspection process and a product unit's quality states during inspection. Historical inspection results from a company are used as the data for the Markov chain model. Using the Markov chain model and data, this study analyzes the effect of this special inspection rule on the proportion of the final quality levels and scrap rate. The results demonstrate that this inspection process of possible double testing could help reduce unnecessary rejects and consequently decrease material and production costs.
A Study on Rotary Type Embossing Process System for Spacer Tape Production

Recently, component materials for display are being developed into higher value-added industries which can strengthen national industrial competitiveness. However, a system for production of component materials for display is nearly depending on import, and its development level is inadequate. For this reason, localization of the embossing treatment system for production of the spacer tape and system improvement for increasing of productivity are needed. Therefore, in this paper, we propose rotary type embossing process system for spacer tape production for localization of system and increasing productivity. The system consists of unwinding, forming, cleaning, winding and testing parts. The mold of forming part is designed to rotary type. And we designed each part and made a prototype to test its performance. We measured embossing shapes, diameter and distance between each embossing and opposite embossing using three coordinate measuring machine. Also, we measured impurity level and the number of impurity particles of sample through the testing and cleaning part. Additionally, the productivity of spacer tape produced by the prototype is measured.
Corrosion Fatigue Crack Propagation Behaviour of TMCP Steel Plate at Ballast Tank of Ship Structure under the Condition of Cathodic Overprotection

For the steel structures those are used in harsh sea environments, corrosion fatigue is a challenging issue in connection with design life. In this research, in order to investigate the influence of cathodic overprotection on the corrosion fatigue crack propagation behavior, corrosion fatigue crack propagation test under the condition of -950mV vs SCE was conducted by using of high tensile TMCP steel plate and the relationships between da/dN-
were obtained. At this test, when
is low, the crack propagation rates were accelerated compared to those of seawater condition, however, when
is high, the crack propagation rates were lower than those of seawater condition. As the cause for the acceleration and deceleration of corrosion fatigue crack propagation rates under the condition of cathodic overprotection, the role of hydrogen and calcareous deposits are discussed.
A Study on the Development of Qualification for Semiconductor Machine Maintenance

This research is aiming to develop Semiconductor equipment maintenance certification course to train qualified maintenance experts more effectively requested in related semiconductor industry. In the course of research, we adopted diverse research technique such as interview, on-spot investigation, documentary references to analyze current status of related training facilities, and forecast the population of test applicants. We analyzed similar certification course(Craftsman SMT, Industrial Engineer SMT, Craftsman Mechatronics, Industrial Enginee Mechatronics, et) as reference to set up job objectives and curriculum of semiconductor equipment maintenance certification. We conducted survey on expectations on newly created certificate, presented evaluation standard and objective of test, and preliminary writing test and demonstration test. Based on the result of various research, we were able to present training program for semiconductor equipment maintenance certification and set the assessment standard of qualification exam.
Development of Personal Compact Oxygen Generator using Vacuum Swing Absorption

This paper discusses the development of a personal compact oxygen generator for portable and mobility. The compact oxygen generator is operated with vacuum swing absorption by compact vacuum pump. The components of oxygen generator is composed on the miniaturization and weight reduction, and it is optimized by discharge pump speed, nozzle diameter and 3-way valve interval. In 0.5mm of nozzle diameter,
concentration is approximately 37%, and flow rate is
/min. On the 30cm away from the nozzle,
concentration is increased approximately 0.5%.

This study reports on the development and performance verification of cell simulation boards of simulator and the embedded program for board control of the battery management system (BMS) of electric vehicle (EV) cars, which manages the next-generation automotive lithium-ion battery pack. Here, we have improved the speed of the simulator by using operational (OP) amplifier and transistors that were connected in series. In addition, using a digital analog converter (DAC) in each channel, we have improved the performance by channel-to-channel isolation (isolation) as compared to the traditional methods. Furthermore, by constructing a current-limiting protection circuit, one can be protected from disturbance and, by utilizing a precision shunt resistor for the current sensor, we have increased the precision of the current control. In order to verify the performance of the developed simulator, we have performed the experiment 10 times, with values ranging from 0.5 V to 5 V, and a voltage drop step of 0.5 V. Significance analysis of experimental data, and repeatability tests were performed, showing an average standard deviation of 0.001~0.004 V, indicating high repeatability and high statistical significance of the current method and system.
The Study of Vocalization for Korean Pop Music So-mo-ri Technique

From the year 2000, an ironic phenomenon struck the Korean pop field with a number of male vocalists singing with similar voice tone colors and with almost the same vocal techniques. People called it "So-mo-ri", and this technique caught on with the public during that period of time. In the early 80s, plenty of vocalists tried to imitate Cho Yong-phil's singing method after his hit song 'Lady outside the window'. However, producing and releasing albums with the same singing method had never been done in history. In this study, I would like to analyse and conclude what the "So-mo-ri" technique was and how this technique began. I would further like to research the vocalization methods that were used.
Design and Implementation of Educational Robot for Programming Learning

In this study an educational robot for programming education was designed and implemented. The robot in this study is composed of hardware containing a sensor, a processor, and a motor driver circuit, software to control the educational robot, machine parts to manufacture the robot structure, and a teaching material containing educational contents and the manufacturing manual. This robot is characterized by direct programming without a computer, which gives no spatial restrictions on robot education and enables dynamic program education beyond limitations of the existing static computer program education since students' programming results are found in the robot's movements. User-centered functional commands, which make it possible to control the robot with simple knowledge concerning hardware and basic commands, were used to enable even students who first accessed a robot or computer program to make access with ease.
An Analysis Study on Family and Socio-environmental Factors of Adolescents' School Dropout

The purpose of this study is to examine what is the path that family and socio-environmental factors of adolescents lead to school dropout called educational crisis behavior. To investigate these research problems, the path was analyzed on the basis of the related data and variations after interview with 120 crisis adolescents in 'J Youth Counseling Center' in Jeon-ju City. By the results of this analysis, the family ties as a familial factor and the deviation friends as a socio-environmental factor had an effect on adolescents' school dropout behavior. These results indicate the need to reform the interpersonal relationship in family and school friends for preventing and solving the adolescents' crisis behavior such as school dropout behavior.

The Purpose of this study is to exame the effectiveness of music therapy program on self efficacy of juveniles with internet game addiction. The study was carried out with 9 juveniles who were belonging to a dangerous user group and a warning user group in the internet addiction observer index, and attended K City K Youth Center. To test the effectiveness of the program, this study employed pretest-posttest simple group design. the date were analyzed by t-test. As the result, The Music therapy program was verified to effect on enhancing self efficacy of the juveniles with internet game addiction. The limitations of the study were discussed, as well as the application of the study results and recommendations for additional exploratory research.
Building a framework of successful knowledge management for value creation

In the 21st century, knowledge is an important asset to improve productivity in the business world. In today's rapidly changing business environment, companies have rigorously brought in knowledge management system in order to secure the sustainable competitiveness and effective knowledge management. Knowledge management has now become mandatory, not optional. Today many companies which have built knowledge management on top of information technology and hardware-based infrastructure are having a difficulty in creating organizational culture in knowledge management. Even though companies have invested substantial time and money in knowledge management, the performances have not met their expectations. To solve this problem, software oriented strategy for knowledge management such as education and networking is more needed rather than hardware oriented strategy such as information technology systems. Though the knowledge management framework suggested in this study is exploratory, this study contributes to the clarification of the critical elements that companies which are about to build knowledge management should take in account.
A Study for Influence VMD Components on Commitment and Post-purchase Satisfaction within SPA Stores

The purpose of this study to analysis influence commitment and post-purchase satisfaction on VMD components within SPA stores. VMD Components are consist of product directing and space directing as independent variables, we are empirical study on affective commitment and post product purchasing satisfaction. To validate the hypothesis by path analysis conducted between variables using SPSS 12.0 and LISREL8.7, the results are as follows : First, product directing and space directing have significant effect on commitment and post-purchase satisfaction. Second, commitment have significant effect on post-purchase satisfaction. Third, we found commitment have mediate effects from analysis direct affect and indirect affect of path coefficients. Contribution of this study to found VMD components consist of product directing and space directing are both important factors SPA stores, among them space directing is more important role commitment and after purchasing satisfaction. And that is based on emotion-cognitive theory by revalidation, these results are used on developing VMD strategy that is required at the time of practical and theoretical guidance of SPA stores.

This study analyses the relative importance of R&D business model of the small and medium manufacturing firm. We also compare samples by classifying by its properties, technology and market circumstance. The most important factor of the R&D business model is marketing factor and infrastructure factor is relatively less important. Also the relative importance of the R&D business model is different according to firm's properties and technology. So when government establishes the R&D policy, he focuses on designing the R&D business model.
A study on the efficiency measurement of University's technology transfer by DEA model

While the cost of technology development is increased, the life cycle of products and services that have been developed has become progressively shorter. Open innovation have been increasing by company as a strategy to respond to the rapidly changed market. Technology transfer from universities is one of the typical means of technological innovation. Although a university has invested significant resources in R&D, the results has been neglected. Therefore, at the moment, research is needed about the outcomes and efficiency of technology transfer at universities. In the previous research, since most of studies focus on the analysis of factors that influence the outcome of technology transfer, in this study, targeting domestic universities, the efficiency of technology transfer at the university was analyzed. In addition, differences in the efficiency of different types of university is verified. Consequently, universities specializing in technology and industry has high-efficiency than the others. There is no significant difference between the groups of universities whether or not to participate in Technology Licensing Office(TLO). More efforts are required for successful results of TLO in Korea. This study is expected to be able to provide reasonable indicators on technology transfer for further research.
Effect of coffee and green tea consumption on liver enzyme and metabolic syndrome in Korean

We investigated whether coffee and green tea consumption reduced the risk of elevated alanine aminotransferase(ALT)/aspartate aminotransferase(AST) activity and the prevalence of metabolic syndrome. Participants were 5,283 adults, aged 19-79 years, in the Third Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, with excessive alcohol consumption, overweight, viral hepatitis, metabolic syndrome. Increased coffee and green tea consumption was not associated with decreased serum ALT. However, amount of coffee consumption had negative correlation with serum AST activity. Moreover, coffee consumption reduced the prevalence of metabolic syndrome (p for trend <0.001). Hypertension, impaired glucose metabolism and dyslipidemia was involved as subgroup of metabolic syndrome. Comparing persons who drank more than 2 cups per day with less than 1 cup per day, the prevalence of all subgroups was declined significantly. In this large, national, population-based study, consumption of coffee was associated with lower the risk of metabolic syndrome.
Relationship of Fatigue, Family Function and Self-esteem of Middle-aged Women in Menopausal Periods

The purpose of this study was to examine the relations between fatigue, family function and self-esteem among middle-aged women in menopausal periods. Data were collected through self-administered questionnaire survey form 133 middle-aged women. The data collection was done from March 2nd to April 10th, 2012. As a results, there were significant differences in fatigue by education level and menstrual status. And, there were significant differences in family function according to education level and marital status. Also, there were significant differences in self-esteem by education level, marital status and monthly income. Fatigue was negatively related to family function and self-esteem. And family function was positively related to self-esteem. These results suggest that nursing intervention should be developed to strengthen family function and self-esteem as a way to regulate fatigue for middle-aged women in menopausal periods. Especially, it is necessary to pay more attention to health management of middle-aged women belonging to menopausal transition, with low-income, low-education level.
Relationship Between Type A Behavior Pattern and Fatigue Symptoms Among Nurses in General Hospitals

This study was intended to assess fatigue symptoms of nurses working for general hospitals and to reveal its association with the type A behavior pattern. The self-administered questionnaires were given to 306 nurses employed in general hospitals from May, 1st to June, 30th 2011. As a results, The proportion of behavior pattern was 50.7%, of type A, and 49.3% of type B. The distribution of fatigue symptoms was 76.8% of normal group, and 23.2% of high risk group. In terms of the distribution of fatigue symptoms according to the type A behavior pattern, the normal group of fatigue symptoms was higher in the type B behavior pattern group, but the high risk group of fatigue symptoms was higher in the type A behavior pattern group. The type A behavior pattern was significant positive correlation with fatigue symptoms. In logistic regression analysis, the adjusted odds ratio of the high risk fatigue symptoms were significantly increased in the group of type A behavior pattern than type B behavior pattern. As a conclusion, fatigue symptoms was higher in the group of type A behavior pattern than the group of type B behavior pattern. Hereafter, the sustainable study would require that the relation between type A behavior pattern and fatigue symptoms to the various study subjects.
Effects of Simulation-Based Training on the Clinical Competence and Confidence of Nursing Students in Intravenous Injection Performance and the Satisfaction of Clients

Purpose: This study was conducted to examine the effect of simulation-based training on the clinical competence and confidence of nursing students in intravenous injection performance and the satisfaction of clients. Methods: This study employed a randomized control posttest non-synchronized design. The participants were 90 second-year nursing students(31 multimedia group, 28 IV model group, 31 IV computerized systems group) of S-University in Seoul, Korea. Each group was given 30 minutes for five trial injections, then the students performed intravenous injections on the back of hands of the clients, and the results were measured. Results: There were significant differences in competence of clinical performance among the three groups showed no significant differences in confidence before and after intravenous injections. While there was no significant difference in the satisfaction of clients among the three groups, there were significant differences in the satisfaction of clients resulting from the success or failure of intravenous injections(p=<.001). Conclusion: This study shows that simulation-base training contributes to the enhancement of competence and confidence of nursing students in clinical performance. It would be helpful to use various simulation-based training media as another choice of education in different fields.
Analysis of doctors' cognition of patient safety at general hospitals

This study was designed to figure out patient safety culture of medical institutions and try to utilize the study results as basic data for analyzing doctor's awareness of patient safety culture. To this end, questionnaire survey was conducted from August 1st to September 5th, 2011, targeting doctors working at senior general hospitals located in G city, and 194 questionnaires were utilized for final analysis. The research results are as follows. First, there was a difference in awareness of deployment of staffs depending on gender, age, term of service in the hospital, contact with patients and working hours per week in relationship between subjects, wards and hospital safety culture, and organizational learning and teamwork in the ward turned out to be significant in accordance with working hours per week, and all sub-areas of the ward safety culture by departments. Second, feedback about the malpractice, communication, report on malpractice frequency and overall safety awareness were found to be significant by departments in relationship of subjects, medical incident reporting system, patient safety evaluation and overall level of consciousness, and the overall safety awareness showed significant results according to contact with patients and working hours per week. Third, there was a positive corelation in sub-areas of the ward and hospital safety culture awareness, overall recognition and patient safety evaluation, and a positive corelation with medical incident reporting system was found in all areas except for attitude of managers/immediate supervisors and that of hospital executives. Fourth, sub-areas of patient safety culture which has a effect on patient safety showed significant results in organizational learning, openness of communication, overall safety awareness, systematic cooperation between departments, feedback/communication and non-punitive response. In conclusion, to increase the level of the ward and hospital patient safety culture of doctors and implement medical incident reporting system faithfully, it is necessary to activate teamwork through organizational learning in the ward based on the adequate staffing and working hours, promote open communication between departments and provide feedback on medical malpractice, thereby establishing a cooperative system by departments and active support of hospital executives for patient safet.

Interferential currents (IFC) and transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) are used for pain management. This study compared the analgesic effects of IFC and TENS on experimentally induced ischemic pain in otherwise pain-free subjects using a modified version of the submaximal-effort tourniquet technique. The subjects were 14 volunteers (7 male, 7 female) without known pathology that could cause pain. Their mean age was
years. A single-blind, sham controlled, parallel-group method was used. The primary outcome measure was the change in the self-report of pain intensity during 1 of 3 possible interventions: (1) IFC, (2) TENS, or (3) sham electrotherapy. The IFC and TENS were administered on the forearm, and the sham electrotherapy group received no current output via a dummy stimulator. The results show that a 2-way repeated-measures analysis of variance revealed that there was no change in pain intensity during treatment when all 3 groups were considered together. The mean to pain intensity with the IFC intervention was no different than with TENS. Thus, Statistical analysis showed that both interventions decreased the pain intensity ratings significantly and the difference between interventions was not simply insignificant. IFC has been shown to be more comfortable than TENS in present studies and is likely to be better accepted and tolerated by patients, clinical investigation is warranted.
Development of OSCE by Nurse Managers of One University-Affiliated Hospital for Skill Test of Nurse Recruitment Process

To recruit nurses with skills, the hospital must evaluate the skills of the applicants. But objective evaluation of the skills is a difficult. Many hospitals are using written examination or oral test only and are not testing the nursing skills directly when they recruit new nurses. OSCE(Objective Structured Clinical Examination) is a method developed for the evaluation of clinical skills objectively. In this study, 16/20 nurse managers of one university-affiliate hospital were assembled for the project of developing 7 OSCE modules by themselves, and then they ran OSCE using those modules for 40 nursing students. They scored nursing skills of the students using checklists they designed. The whole process was proceeded phase by phase using step-wise approach model. The project was successful; inter-personal consistency of the scores were high; nurse managers became confident in objective skill evaluation; subjective responses for this project were favorable. The hospital adopted OSCE in recruitment process thereafter. This experience might be applied to other hospitals who want to recruit nurses with skills.

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether medial gastrocnemius ultrasound imaging of the Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS) has the possibilities as a measurement method. This study was conducted from April 21th 2011 to April 30th 2011. Thirty-five healthy subjects were included based on the absence of regular physical activity, and no history of recent trauma, musculoskeletal pathology, cardiovascular disease or drug intake. All subjects induced DOMS through climbing for 5 hours and we measured the visual analogue scale (VAS), creatine kinase (CK) and maximal voluntary isometric contraction (MVlC) of ankle plantar flexor prior to DOMS and at 24, 48 and 72 hours post DOMS and these measurements were compared with pennation angle of medial gastrocnemius measured by ultrasound imaging. Results of this study were as following. VAS, CK, and MVIC of ankle plantar flexor were found significant difference related measurement period (p<0.05) and pennation angle of medial gastrocnemius were found significant difference related measurement period (p<0.05). Furthermore, we confirmed that the flow of change between variables related measurment period was consistent. Through this study, we think that measuring the changes in pennation angle of medial gastrocnemius over time using ultrasound imaging will be able to be used as a new method measuring DOMS.

This study aims to examine the effects of massages using various tools being frequently applied in skin care centers. It suggests the most effective method based on the comparative analysis on the body heat changes before and after the massages and also provides foundational data to develop back treatment programs. This research conducted manual, ultrasonic device, and also suction massages from July 3rd till 10th, 2011 to women at the age of 35 to 45 living in Gwangju, Jeonnam. And five of them were arranged for each tool. The body heat changes before the massages and after the 20-minute massages were measured with the body heat diagnostic device of thermograph DITI IRIS-XP. The collected data went through the t-test using SPSS 18.0. According to the result, the body temperature increased significantly before and after the manual massage from
(p<.001). The body temperature also increased significantly before and after the ultrasonic massage from
(p<.001). And the body temperature increased significantly before and after the suction massage from
(p<.001). The hand, ultrasonic device, and also suction were all effective as massage tools in terms of increasing body temperature, and the suction massage was shown to have the greatest effect in body temperature increase. Thus, the suction was analyzed as the most effective tool to be used to develop back treatment programs.
Relationship of Psychological Separation, Depression and Antidepressive Coping Behaviors in University Students

The purpose of this study was to investigate psychological separation, depression and antidepressive coping behaviors and to examine the relationship between psychological separation, and depression in Korean university students. The subjects were 131 students who were in 4 university in Chungcheong-do, Korea. The data were collected through self reported structured questionnaire using the psychological separation index, beck depression inventory and antidepressive coping behaviors instrument. The level of depression was classified into; not depressed, 54.2%; mildly depressed, 22.9%; moderately depressed, 16.8%; severely depressed, 6.1%. Among antidepressive coping behaviors, cognitive activity-oriented behaviors was the one with highest percentage(30.8%). Depression was negatively related to functional independence, attitudinal independence, emotional independence from father and conflictual independence from mother. And depression was positively related to conflictual independence from father. These results suggest that it is necessary to develop nursing intervention to strengthen psychological separation form parents and to be able to help desirable antidepressive coping behaviors for the psychological health of university students.
The Relationship between Physical Characteristics and Walking Ability in Elderly: A Cross-Sectional Study

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between physical characteristics and walking ability in the elderly population. Subjects were 77 elderly (38 men and 39 women) who are capable of walking independently with and without walking aids. Correlation and stepwise multiple linear regression analyses were used to analyze the relationship between physical characteristics (age, gender, height, weight, body mass index, muscle mass, waist/hip ratio, heart rate, vital capacity, flexibility, maximum oxygen consumption, one-leg standing time, and strength of knee flexor and extensor) and walking velocity of subjects. Age, height, vital capacity, one-leg standing time, and strength of knee flexor and extensor showed significant correlations with walking velocity of subjects (p<.05). Further, the strength of knee flexor explained 27% of the variance, and up to 32% of the walking velocity could be explained when the strength of knee extensor were added to the model. The findings suggest that walking velocity of elderly depends on the strength of lower limb's strength and a variety of physical characteristics.
Development of Mortality Model of Severity-Adjustment Method of AMI Patients

The study was done to provide basic data of medical quality evaluation after developing the comorbidity disease mortality measurement modeled on the severity-adjustment method of AMI. This study analyzed 699,701 cases of Hospital Discharge Injury Data of 2005 and 2008, provided by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We used logistic regression to compare the risk-adjustment model of the Charlson Comorbidity Index with the predictability and compatibility of our severity score model that is newly developed for calibration. The models severity method included age, sex, hospitalization path, PCI presence, CABG, and 12 variables of the comorbidity disease. Predictability of the newly developed severity models, which has statistical C level of 0.796(95%CI=0.771-0.821) is higher than Charlson Comorbidity Index. This proves that there are differences of mortality, prevalence rate by method of mortality model calibration. In the future, this study outcome should be utilized more to achieve an improvement of medical quality evaluation, and also models will be developed that are considered for clinical significance and statistical compatibility.
Relationship Between Depressive Symptoms and Awareness and, Attitude of Suicide in High School Students

This study was aimed at finding out the relationship between the level of depression and the recognition and attitude of suicide and the study was conducted by a structured and self-filling questionnaire survey for 1,114 urban area students and 968 rural area students (totaled 2,082) in K city in the central districts of the country from July 1, 2009 to July 31, 2009. The result of the study showed that the more serious the level of depression, the higher the recognition and level of attitude for suicide was. Suicide attitude had a meaningful relationship with the degree of suicide recognition and the level of depression and the level of suicide recognition was closely connected with the level of depression. The result of the analysis of Hierarchial multiple regression showed the meaningfully related factors that affect the level of depression were sex, major, grade, school life satisfaction, fellowship with schoolmates, departing from girl or boyfriends, the lowest bracket of living standard, subjective health, smoking, financial status of household, a quarrel with parents and attitude of suicide. In particular, variables that are related to the condition of family life have high relationship with the level of depression.
The Effects of Participation in Family Leisure Activity on School Adjustment of Middle School Students

The purpose of this research was to investigate effects of participation in family leisure activity on school adjustment of middle school students. A total of six hundred questionnaires were distributed to the subjects, but only 587 questionnaires were collected. After excluding 12 questionnaires, 575 questionnaires were used for the analysis. An analysis of variance and independent t test were conducted using SPSS 18.0 for Windows and all comparisons were made at the p<.05 level of significance. The results showed that gender did not affect on school adjustment. There were significant differences in school adjustment by academic grades and family leisure activity participation(p<.05). It was concluded that participating in family leisure activity may be beneficial for middle school students to adapt their school life better.

The yield of OTP devices using anti-fuse MOS capacitor have been affected by the input resistance, the size of the pass transistor and the read transistor, and the readout voltage of programed cell. To investigate the element which gives an effect to yield, we analyze the full map data of the resistance characterization of OTP device and those data in a various experimental condition. As a result, we got the optimum conditions which is necessary to the yield improvement. The optimum conditions are as follows: Input resistance is 50 ohms, the channel length of pass transistor is 10um, read voltage is 2.8 volt, respectively.

In plants, factory automation systems, although most of the growth of plants by the state workforce is the restaurant to check manually. In this paper, we use two cameras to measure the plant's developmental state has been studied. Plant measurement algorithm, the camera only affordable, reliable and simple system to get the data you can build a system. In this paper, the size of plants that plant growth in the plant to measure the efficient monitoring system has been developed. By utilizing this system, the size of the plant measured data required to maintain and manage accordingly, saving time and reducing costs and improving operational efficiency of plants, plant managers, the effect could be obtained by building the actual system the performance of the proposed system was confirmed.

Desktop-based computing environment is changed into mobile computing using smart phone and cloud computing providing common behavior and big data by network. Because of this transformation software development and operating environment is changed into heterogeneous distributed environment. As a result, dynamic service composition or changement is required. However, there is few research of techniques supporting service composition or changement dynamically in this situation. This paper suggests a technique for customizing services dynamically of mobile applications based on android platform. Especially we propose a customization technique of service by applying ontology technique to improve sharing and reuse of service. We applied proposed technique into meeting notification system, and obtain that it can be customized into various services such as email, sms, twitter service, and so on.
Spatial Operation Allocation Scheme over Common Query Regions for Distributed Spatial Data Stream Processing

According to increasing of various location-based services, distributed data stream processing techniques have been widely studied to provide high scalability and availability. In previous researches, in order to balance the load of distributed nodes, the geographic characteristics of spatial data stream are not considered. For this reason, distributed operations for adjacent spatial regions increases the overall system load. We propose a operation allocation scheme considering the characteristics of spatial operations to effectively processing spatial data stream in distributed computing environments. The proposed method presents the efficient share maximizing approach that preferentially distributes spatial operations sharing the common query regions to the same node in order to separate the adjacent spatial operations on overlapped regions.

Recently flexible mobile terminals which can freely change the shape of their device are coming out with the development of the flexible display, high capacity memory and system integration technology. The display and the antenna configuration of the future terminals will be altered according to the QoS (quality of service) and the communication environment of users. In particular, we present the new emergence of a multimedia language for human and system to communicate over subjective concepts, intention of users. The intension of users is expressed by changing the shape of their mobile terminal. In addition, antenna configuration is also related to shape of terminal and QoS of users. Therefore, we set up a specific usage scenarios for future mobile terminals and propose an adaptive MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) schemes that can maximize channel capacity and fit to QoS of users simultaneously.
A Systematic Literature Review on SaaS: Identifying Research Trend in Korean Academia

The purpose of this study is, to analyze the recent trend of studies on SaaS(Software as a Service) in Korea and to suggest a direction for the future research. For this purpose, the relevant literatures published in Korea Citation Index and literatures presented in conferences were gathered. Among these literatures, total of 39 samples were selected and used in the systematic literature review. The result shows that the application of SaaS in actual operations of industries are widely proliferated. However, the studies on SaaS generally lacks in its number and types. For example, studies so far are only on field of engineering and technology. Considering the fact that SaaS is moving towards the service orientation, studies on SaaS should develop in the fields of policy, business, individual and society sides of studies. In addition, the existing studies uses different concepts of relations between SaaS and ASP(Application Service Provider), as well as, different definitions of SaaS. Lastly, our research analyzed the problems of utilization of SaaS and found that, the quality, performance and security are presented as the core of the problems.
Requirements and Analysis for Efficient Key Management Mechanism on IPSec-6LoWPAN

6LoWPAN is a standard to enable IPv6 packets to be carried on top of low power wireless networks. It needs to achieve security in 6LoWPAN, which is being defined at the 6LoWPAN working group of the IETF. IPSec is already part of IPv6, which makes it a candidate to be directly employed or adapted for WSNs. Some results showed that the adoption of IPSec is viable, and also point towards the successful design and deployment of security architecture for WSNs. IPSec requires two communicating entities to share a secret key that is typically established dynamically with the IKE. However, there are some limitations to use IKE on wireless networks. In this article, we show requirements for being Efficient Key management Mechanism for IPSec on 6LoWPAN and analyze candidate protocols.
A Design of HD-SDI Camera System for HDcctv Standard Certification

The SDI technology can transmit video, audio and control data with a coaxial cable. The compatibility of HD-SDI Camera is very important. The SDI devices and products without compliance problem are able to guarantee interaction. The HDcctv Alliance has released the standard by classifying the attributes of the SDI devices and products. It is important for each SDI devices and products to keep the compatibility of this standard. In this paper, the camera system that comply with the HDcctv Standard was implemented. In order to receive certification of HDcctv Alliance, the experiment was performed and the satisfied result was gained.
Accuracy Evaluation of Supervised Classification about IKONOS Imagery using Mixed Pixels

Selection of training set influences the classification accuracy in supervised classification using satellite imagery. Generally, if pure pixels which character of training set is clear were selected, whole accuracy is high while if mixed pixels were selected, accuracy is decreased because of low-resolution imagery or unclear distinguishment. However, it is too difficult to choose the pure pixels as training set actually. Accordingly, this study should be suggested the suitable classification method in case of mixed pixels choice. To achieve this, a few pure pixels were chosen as training set and classification accuracy was calculated which was compared with classification result using an equal number of mixed pixels. As a result, accuracy of SVM was the highest among the classification method using mixed pixels and it was a relatively small difference with the result of classification using pure pixels. Therefore, imagery classification using SVM is most suitable in the mixed area of construction and green because it is high possibility to choose mixed pixels as training set.

Sewage pipelines are one of important infra-structures. The main reasons of sewage pipelint failure are improper backfill materials and compaction controls in field. Especially, it is very difficult to compact the lower part of circula pipelines. In order to overcome these problems, the prefabricated light-weight plastic foundation was developed. Couple of load-displacement tests were carried out to get the characteristic of failure. From the limited laboratory loading tests, the use of prefabricated light-weight plastic foundation is an alternative to solve the difficulty of backfill materials and compaction control.

This study drew the reason of the limitation in low-carbon city plan from a absence of 'social sustainability' and supplemented its limitation by suggesting the new concept of city facility called Green Media. It clarified the concept of Green Media, and analyzed its effect on low-carbon city plan based on the analysis of related cases inside and outside the country. This study made an important step forward in introducing the new concept to complement social sustainability, analyzing its effect, and suggesting the applicable details.

Formulation of finite difference method for analyzing seepage under concrete dam was carried out in order to find out characteristics of flow net. For the situation without curtain, slope of equipotential line of nonhomogeneous soil is greater in the region which has higher value of coefficient of permeability. By comparing analysis results between the situations with locating curtain at the center portion and left end, velocity of flow along with the face of the right hand side of the curtain for the situation with left end curtain is lower than that for the situation with center curtain. Considering flow in the region of the right of the curtain, streamline for the situation with left curtain gets horizontal relatively.

The housing market is now difficult because of excess of the increase rate of housing and long-term recession but high-rise mixed-use buildings can mix residential facilities with various demand facilities focusing and they have the advantages to secure open space and excellent view by high-rise apartment. But there are problems by hindrance of skyline formation and height of buildings. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to suggest the height standard and the slenderness ratio to location types of Mixed-use Residential Tall buildings. For the method of the study, term arrangement through literature search and the precedent research survey were first done, the level of urban design and the details related to the height of buildings were done as the case research focusing on the 16 cases in Seoul. The following results were drawn by suggesting the height standard and the slenderness ratio by location type based on them. First, the height of mixed-use building by location type in the level of urban design gets higher starting from the secondary center of the city and can be suggested as from less than 150m to more than 200m. Second, the slenderness ratio shall be planned as more than 1:3 because the area of the ground level of mixed-use building is large unlike Mixed-use Residential Tall buildings and visual passage shall be placed so that unity of openness and group formation will be planned. Third, for the height related to Mixed-use Residential Tall buildings, amendment of the special architectural district system and the special law related to super high-rise buildings shall be enacted.
A Design Study of the Mountainous Contemporary Han-ok based on Regional Tradition in Gangwon-do

The purpose of this study was to develope the Contemporary Han-ok based on the natural environment characteristics of mountainous territory in Gangwon-do. According to the result of this study, Eco-friendly Contemporary Han-ok adaptable to the natural environment feature focused on the local climate was proposed based on the tradition of mountainous territory housing in Gangwon-do. In addition, proposed Mountainous Han-ok in Gangwon-do planned to keep the out feature of traditional Korean Han-ok and have the environmental control system same as traditional Korean Han-ok. Despite of several limits, this study has the meaning in terms of propose the prototype of adaptable contemporary han-ok based on the Natural Environment Characteristics of Mountainous Territory and regional tradition in Gangwon-do in cognition of local natural environment difference. the proposal of contemporary han-ok as the result of this study will give a support to the wide planning of Han-ok and the development plan of contemporary Han-ok.
An Experimental Study on the Pull-Out Behaviors of Headed GFRP Rebar in Mortar

This paper presents the pull-out behaviors of headed glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) rebar embedded in mortar under tension loading. Five specimens with headed GFRP rebars that were anchored in the center of mortar bases were constructed and the pull-out test was conducted. To verify the test results, the finite element analysis was conducted and the results were compared with the FE analysis using ANSYS software package. Based on the test results it was indicated that the CCD(concrete capacity design) failure theory should be adopted and not to use the 45o cone failure theory as the breakout capacity in the headed GFRP rebar embedded in mortar.
Retrofit Design of RC Column by Displacement-Based-Design Method

In this study, It is developed a retrofitting procedure of RC column with rectangular section to archive the target displacement at failure. Nonlinear behavior of the column is considered as the equivalent linear system. First, target displacement is determined, and then elastic displacement spectrum is constructed to estimate the equivalent natural vibration period of the SDOF system. After natural vibration period is determined, required strength is calculated using secant stiffness based on the mass of system. In accordance with, obtained force-displacement relationship through non-linear fiber based section analysis, retrofit design was carried out to meet required strength. As a result, retrofitted RC column can confirm that the improved seismic performance. It is observed that the proposed design procedure can be applicable to seismic retrofitting design of columns.
A Study of the Law School Library Design Feature ＆ Spatial Composition

The purpose of this study was to analyze the spacial composition feature of Law School Library and define the feature in spacial planning of law school library. Through the analysis of characteristics in spacial composition, the basic spacial type of law school library will be proposed as a new law school library design. The spatial composition characteristics of Law school Library are as followings. (1) Entry spatial feature for the user accessibility (2) Reference room spatial planning for carrel user (3) Connectivity of educational & research space and reference room space. As the result of design proposal and analyzing the spacial feature, firstly entry common space of library should be planned with reference room space. Secondly, reading room should be linked to the entry level for the user. Lastly, core space should be planned as the vertical connectivity space for the intimately linkage of educational & research space and reference room. And separated accessibility should be considered for direct connection from outdoor space.
A Study on Development of Small Scale Electric Power Management System for Smart Grid

A smart grid is an electric-power grid that employs a new information technology.This technology makes it possible to exchange real-time energy information between suppliers and consumers, finally resulting in high energy efficiency. The energy management system in smart grid provides up to date information on electricity consumption as well as dynamic electricity price to consumers of smart grid system. However, the existing energy management systems only focus on pricing system, for example, real-time electricity prices. In this paper, we try to improve the existing energy management system and propose the energy management system that mainly focuses on the efficiency of electricity consumption. In the proposed management system, PMU(Phasor Measurement Units) installed in switchboards gathers electricity data in a real time. We also propose to use data mining method, which is applied to analyzed electricity data for improving energy efficiency. Also, the proposed energy management system is designed to efficiently control the electricity between PMU and management system in case of a shortage of electricity or surplus electricity.
Cost-Benefit Analysis by Resource Recovery Facility for Municipal Waste -Focus on Gangwon Province-

In this study, the amount of waste resource that could be recovered was analyzed. The installation and operation costs of waste resource recovery for both single- and multi-regional facility were calculated, and compared with the costs of landfill to investigate the feasibility of them. RDF(Refuse Derived Fuel) process and resource recovery by incineration process were considered as waste resource recovery facility. And, the multi-regions for cost analysis were established on the basis of the proper generation rate of municipal waste with the consideration of combustible ratio. The study results showed that single region facility for both RDF and incineration process has no economic benefit, compared with the landfill method. For the multi-regional facility, RDF process could save a large cost than the landfill method, but the incineration facility couldn't. Separate from the economic benefits, the waste resource recovery should be importantly considered when considering the depletion of fossil fuel, global warming, environmental toxicity, and the enormous expenses due to social conflict and confuse. When the CDM(Clean Development Mechanism) is vitalized in the near future, the additional economic benefits by CERs(Certified Emission Reductions) could be expected. CERs for RDF facility is corresponding to about 256.5 billion won, and CERs for incineration facility is corresponding to about 54 and 77.4 billion won for single- and multi-regional facility, respectively.

Effects of ground tire rubber(GTR) and unexpanded
powders on the thermal conducting characteristics of rigid polyurethane foams(PUFs) were studied. Sub-micron sized GTR powders and
powders were used as the foam nucleating agents to improve the thermal insulating properties of the rigid PUFs. As the results, while the thermal conductivities of the GTR filled-PUF samples were increased linearly with GTR contents, those of
filled-PUF samples were decreased a little bit. It was considered from the results that GTR powders might predominantly play a role as the extending fillers. On the other hand,
powders could act as the foam nucleating agents based on the polar surface, showing smaller cell sized PUF with improved insulating characteristics.
