Analytical and experimental study on the quality improvement of 2 cavity injection-molded LCD frame

The LCD frame is an important part which supports the BLU of medium/large sized TFT-LCD. To produce it efficiently, it is necessary to achieve the molding process improvement from 1 cavity to 2 cavity system. Because 2 cavity mold is compact and its hot-runner zone is broadened, it is difficult to control the temperature on the mold. In this study, injection molding analysis on the frame in 2 cavity process with FEA(Finite Element Analysis) software is carried out to estimate its quality. The calculated injection molding pressures and maximum deflection in 1 and 2 cavity processes are 41.13 MPa and 1.62 mm, 40.49 MPa and 1.66 mm respectively. The measured maximum flexure load and surface roughness of the left and right frame of 2 cavities are 209 N and 0.08
, 193 N and 0.10
while those in 1 cavity are 140 N and 0.13
. Thermal image shows that the maximum standard deviation of the temperature on left and right side of 2 cavity mold is
. The simulation and measurement results show that the quality of the frame in 2 cavity injection molding process as a whole is not worse than that of 1 cavity system. But maximum flexure loads of the frame in 2 cavity process are far greater than that in 1 cavity process.
The Effect of Temperature and Exposure Time on UV-curing of Urethane Acrylate

We have studied the effect of temperature and exposure time on the UV curing rate of Urethane Acrylate. UV dose has been modulated by changing the electric power, and temperature has been controled by coating rate and water temperature of the coating roll. Curing rate was evaluated by measuring gel fraction of the cured film. It has been found that effect of coating velocity on the gel fraction of the final film is predominant, but role of temperature of the UV chamber is negligible. These observations imply that exposure time of UV light is critical to have a fully cured film. To better understand the effect of design and operating condition of UV coater on the behavior of UV curing of Urethane Acrylate, we have also conducted heat-flux analysis of UV chamber.

Recently, instead of hot air type dryers that require a lot of heat, energy-efficient heat pump dryers have been used in various fields such as paper, textile, wood, food, etc. In this paper, the characteristics of heat pump cycle were theoretically evaluated with hot-gas bypass system to further improve the energy efficiency by minimizing the use of electric heaters in early warm-up stage of the dryers for frozen agricultural products. In addition, damper system that leads outside air to flow into the dryer were optimized to obtain extra heat for higher energy efficiency.
A Study on the Filling Process and Residual Layer Formation in Nanoimprint Lithography Process

Nanoimprint lithography (NIL) is an emerging technology enabling cost-effective and high-throughput nanofabrication. Recently a lot of research for the nanoimprint have been carried out, but almost are about merely experimental result relating to the material operation and the imprint fabrication, and numerical analysis relating to the understanding of the imprint process with R&D level. In this paper, the viscoelasticity analysis model is developed using the finite element method. With this model, the filling process and residual layer formation in nanoimprint are analyzed, which is evaluated by a nanoimprint experiment.

The process of an analysis of alternatives(AoA) attempts to select the best and balanced solution among a set of multiple candidate solutions under the constraints of cost, schedule, performance and risk(CSPR). The traditional AoA for the acquisition of a new weapon system has usually centered on the sequence of the requirement analysis, design synthesis, and cost estimation. An improved process for AoA is developed in this paper based on a multi-objective decision-making method, which is intended to be applied in the design concept refinement and material solution analysis stage for the acquisition of naval surface ships. The presentation of the proposed AoA approach is then followed by a case study for the next generation multi-purpose training ship based on the principles of systems engineering and also using the models of the effectiveness measure, cost estimation, and risk assessments.
The Development of Clutch Control for Manual Transmission Vehicle based on Stepping Motor

This paper describes a control algorithm and test results of an automated manual transmission clutch actuated by a stepping motor. The control algorithm extracts driver`s demand from CAN signals and decides the exact timing to engage or disengage the clutch based on the demand. A pulse signal is generated to drive the clutch and the travel of the clutch can be calculated by accumulating the pulse signal. An auto code generation method was introduced in implementing the control logic to the micro-processor of the prototype controller and a series of basic tests were carried out to validate its performance.
3D Reconstruction and Self-calibration based on Binocular Stereo Vision

A 3D reconstruction technique from stereo images that requires minimal intervention from the user has been developed. The reconstruction problem consists of three steps of estimating specific geometry groups. The first step is estimating the epipolar geometry that exists between the stereo image pairs which includes feature matching in both images. The second is estimating the affine geometry, a process to find a special plane in the projective space by means of vanishing points. The third step, which includes camera self-calibration, is obtaining a metric geometry from which a 3D model of the scene could be obtained. The major advantage of this method is that the stereo images do not need to be calibrated for reconstruction. The results of camera calibration and reconstruction have shown the possibility of obtaining a 3D model directly from features in the images.
Finite Element Method Analysis of Safety Valve

In this paper, a safety valve was modeled by using 3-dimensional designing program, Solidsworks after it was dismantled and measured. And 3-dimensional finite element analysis code, ANSYS was used to FEM analysis. Stress, strain and deformation were obtained when some amount of pressure was applied to the safety valve through FEM analysis.
A Study on the Pulsation Characteristics of ESP Hydraulic Modulator

In this study, mathematical modeling and experimental analysis were executed in order to evaluate the valve dynamic characteristics when the hydraulic pressure applied. High pressure on the master cylinder effects on the valve dynamic characteristics have been analyzed. The pulsation pressure generated in hydraulic systems causes noise, vibration and odd effect to the system. To reduce the pulsation pressure, high frequency PWM control of 20KHz was attempted. Also, an analytic method is proposed for the resultant forces of electromagnetism and hydraulic pressure generated in the real vehicle electro stability program. Consequently, results of solenoid valve dynamic characteristics analysis derived in the study can be confirmed criteria for the optimal control of electronic stability program system.
Teleoperation Using Reconstructed Graphic Model

In typical master/slave teleoperation systems, a human operator generally manipulates the master to control the slave through the visual information like camera image. However, the operator may get into trouble due to the limited visual information depending on the camera positions and the delay on the visual information because of low communication bandwidth. To cope with this inherit problem in the camera-based teleoperation system, this paper presents a teleoperation system using a reconstructed graphic model instead of the camera image. The proposed teleoperation system consists of a robot control module, a master module using a force-reflective joystick, and a graphic user interface (GUI) module. The graphic user interface module provides the operator with a 3D model reconstructed using a small set of sensing data received from the remote site. The proposed teleoperation system is evaluated through a peg-in-hole assembly task.
Conceptual Design on Doorstep Equipments Used for Low and High Level Railway Platforms

In order to operate trains both mainline railroad platform and metropolitan subway line platform, it is necessary to develop the doorstep equipment of the rolling stock regardless of low(500mm, mainline) and high level platforms(1,135mm, metropolitan subway line) because of the requisite door safety system. In this study, two different types of platforms were examined. On closer examination, it seems that the conceptual design is suitable for telescopic sliding type doorstep equipment to minimize damage to the carbody underframe of railway vehicles and can also minimize the variation of the distance between the railway platform. Furthermore, the operation process and control flowchart of doorstep equipments by stages are proposed by various performance requirements.
Durability Evaluation on Doorstep Equipments Used for Low and High Level Platforms at Railway Vehicle

The platform of railroad station for domestic passenger train has been operated at two categories like the platforms if low level(500mm, mainline) and high level(1,135mm, metropolitan subway line). To operate both metropolitan subway line and mainline railroad safely, it is essential to develop the doorstep equipment of railway vehicle regardless of low and high level platforms. On the other hand, the domestic test standard at durability and reliability of doorstep equipment has not been existed until now. This study aims at the development on doorstep equipment of telescopic sliding type for low and high level platforms. Durability analysis with VPD(Virtual Product Development) techniques are performed and the durability standard & qualification life through the rig test during no failure test time is examined in accordance with reliability qualification test.
Development of silicone mold applying corrosive pattern of tactile system

In this study, the start-type molded material, silicone resin(RTV-3040) was used to develop a mold that is utilized for embossing pattern. After selecting a required pattern using the commercial package (Freeform), we examined whether this is applicable to components creating projective embossed side on the surface. We responded to products that require corrosive pattern, such as aluminum mold, by making the starting type when small amounts of components are developing. However, the development of silicone mold that is applied to corrosive pattern showed the possible reduction in time and cost.
Further Investigations on the Financial Characteristics of Credit Default Swap(CDS) spreads for Korean Firms

This study examined the background of the recent global financial crisis and the concept of one of the financial derivatives such as the credit default swap(CDS) or synthetic CDO(collateral debt obligations), given the rapid growing and changing the over-the-counter derivative markets in their volume and structures. In comparison with the previous literature such as the study of Park & Kim (2011), this research empirically performed more thorough and comprehensive investigations to find any financial characteristics or attributes to determine the CDS spreads. Regarding the results obtained from the multiple regression models, the explanatory variables such as STYIELD3, SLOPE, INASSETS, and VOLATILITY, showed their statistically significant effects on all the tested dependent variables(DVs). Another procedure such as the principle component analysis(PCA), was also performed to account for additional IDVs as possible determinants of the dependent variables. Subsequent to this analysis, larger coefficients of each corresponding eigenvector such as BETA, PFT2, GROWTH, STD, and BLEVERAGE were found to be possible financial determinants. For robustness, all the IDVs were employed to be tested in the `full` regression model with stepwise procedure. As a result, STYIELD3, SLOPE, and VOLATILITY, and BETA showed their statistically significant relationship with all the dependent variables of the CDS spreads.
Relationship between the Social Capital, Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment in Social Welfare Organization

Prior research has shown empirically that social capital is as a critical factor determining organizational effectiveness. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the social capital, social workers` job satisfaction and organizational commitment in the social welfare organization. For the research, social capital was consisted of trust, norms and network. The results of this study were summarized as follows: Mean analyses showed that social workers perceived the level of social capital had a higher than medium. By using a structural equations modeling(SEM), trust and norms had a positive effect on the social workers` jon satisfaction and organizational commitment. This study finally discusses theoretical implications for future study and practical implications for social capital strategies on the results.

An Analysis of the Tendency of Native Studies on Children`s Social Conflicts

This study heads for analysing precedent studies on children`s social conflicts and groping for the tendency of change investigation, according to streams. So, this study selected and analysed 101 books as a study standard, basing on native studies. The collected materials were handled with frequency and percentage. The summary of the study is as followings. First, the progress of the studies on children`s social conflict, classified with years, showed an increase from 1995 to 2005, but it showed a decrease after 2005. Second, as for an object of a study on children`s social conflicts, the study frequency on conflicts among peers was high greatly, but the study frequency on parent-child, teacher-child conflicts was low comparatively. As for a number of the study object, the study frequency on the object less than 50 was the highest, and the study frequency on 50-100 was high, the next. As for a study period, short-period study was the most, but longitudinal study was not performed at all. As a study type, quantitative study was comparatively higher than qualitative study. Experimental handling method was the highest. The number of study tools was high in order of 1, 2, and 3. Third, as a subject of the study on children`s social conflicts, the subject of study on relationship between children`s social conflict factors and their development was the most, and children`s social conflict factors, and children`s social conflict aspect analysis, and children`s conflict solution strategy in order.
The Experience of NEIS`s Usage of Elementary School Teachers

National Education Information System, NEIS is administered for the efficiency of educational service. There have been some researches about the NEIS system and the easiness of the use. However there was no study about the teachers` experience in the use of the NEIS system. It is necessary to study the teachers` subjective experience in the use of NEIS system. For this, researcher had depth interviews with 20 elementary school teachers to collect data and researcher analyzed the data through the method of the Ground Theory. According to the result of this study, the elementary school teachers who have the expectation for the efficiency of NEIS in the process of the acceptance of NEIS, are sorted into the following types. 1) A type of positive acceptance 2) A type of realistic acceptance 3) A type of passive acceptance 4) A type of negative acceptance. This study suggests that educators need to support the elementary school teachers to use of NEIS depend on the four types of the acceptance.
Detecting cell cycle-regulated genes using Self-Organizing Maps with statistical Phase Synchronization (SOMPS) algorithm

Developing computational methods for identifying cell cycle-regulated genes has been one of important topics in systems biology. Most of previous methods consider the periodic characteristics of expression signals to identify the cell cycle-regulated genes. However, we assume that cell cycle-regulated genes are relatively active having relatively many interactions with each other based on the underlying cellular network. Thus, we are motivated to apply the theory of multivariate phase synchronization to the cell cycle expression analysis. In this study, we apply the method known as "Self-Organizing Maps with statistical Phase Synchronization (SOMPS)", which is the combination of self-organizing map and multivariate phase synchronization, producing several subsets of genes that are expected to have interactions with each other in their subset (Kim, 2008). Our evaluation experiments show that the SOMPS algorithm is able to detect cell cycle-regulated genes as much as one of recently reported method that performs better than most existing methods.

The hazardous effects of heavy alcohol intake and smoking to body systems have been identified by numerous studies, and there is many influencing factors on alcohol intake and smoking choices. The aim of this study is to identify the correlation between alcohol intake and digit ratio (2D:4D), as well as smoking and digit ratio (2D:4D) in university students. Participants were 121 male and 314 female university students. After filling in questionnaire related alcohol and smoking history, 2nd and 4th finger lengths were measured on both hands using vernier callipers with photocopy. This study showed 2D:4D of the males was 0.95, and that of the females was 0.96. There was a significant difference between male and female in digit ratio. The digit ratio according alcohol intake level significantly differed in only women`s left hand. The digit ratio according smoking level significantly differed in only men`s left hand. Moreover, The digit ratio was negatively associated with alcohol intake and smoking. The results of this study suggest that the digit ratio (2D:4D) affected with fetal testosterone concentration is negatively related to alcohol intake and smoking. Therefore, the digit ratio would be used in preventive program of alcohol intake and smoking of adolescent, or in antialcoholism /smoking cessation program as a biological basic data.
The Effect of Muscle Activity on Muscle Architectural of Medial Gastrocnemius in Chronic Stroke Patient Based on Ankle Joint Degree

The aim of this study was to effect of muscle activity on muscle architectural of medial gastrocnemius in chronic stroke patient based on ankle joint degree. The subjects of this study were 10 chronic stroke patients modified Ashworth scale(MAS) 2. Ultrasonographic and dynamometer was measured during resting and maximum voluntary isometric contraction(MVIC) on muscle thickness, pennation angle, fascicle length, MVIC. Result from analysis showed that muscle thickness was thinner in the paretic side than in the non-paretic side(p<.001) and the more plantarflexion increased, the thinner muscle thickness became. And at the time of resting rather than of MVIC significant(p<.001). Result from analysis showed that penneation angle was smaller in the paretic side than in the non-paretic side(p<.001) and the more plantarflexion increased, the larger pennation became. And at the time of resting rather than of MVIC significant(p<.001). Result from analysis showed that fascicle was shorter in the paretic side than in the non-paretic side(p<.001) and the more plantarflexion increased, the shorter fascicle length became. And at the time of resting rather than of MVIC significant(p<.001). The results of this study showed that effect of muscle activity on muscle architectural of medial gastrocnemius in chronic stroke patient based on ankle joint degree. Therefore, Ultrasonographic evaluation of chronic stroke patients according ankle joint degree and muscle activity in the clinical diagnosis and therapy is considered a very useful data.

Effect of Boxing Aerobic Dance on Body Composition, Blood Component and Vascular Compliance in Obese Middle Aged Women

This study was conducted to test the effects of participation in 12-week program of boxing aerobics by obese middle-aged women on their body composition, blood constituents, and vascular compliance The samples are the middle-aged women in their forties or more, who has 30% or more body fat percentage, but has no medical history in cardiovascular disorders or metabolic diseases. The samples are divided into 8 of exercising group, and 8 of control group by random assignment. The intensity of boxing aerobics was HRmax 50% for the initial 4 weeks, HRmax 60% for the 5th to 8th week, and HRmax 70% for the 9th to 12th week. Each session took 60 minutes. First, as a result of participating in the boxing aerobics program, body weight, body fat percentage, and muscle showed significant differences depending on the measuring period and the interacting term of the group and measuring period(p<.001), and the result of t-test on the sample matched to each group`s measuring time also showed the significant increase or decrease in the exercising group(p<.001). Second, as a result of participating in the boxing aerobics program, the exercising group`s TC, TG, HDL-C, and LDL-C, all showed significant differences in accordance with each group, measuring time, and the interaction term between groups and measuring time(p<.01, p<.001), and the result of t-test on each group`s samples matched to the measuring time also shows significant increase or decrease in the exercising group(p<.01). Third, as a result of participating in the boxing aerobics programs, the vascular compliance of right hand, left hand, right hand, and left hand showed significant differences in accordance with each group, measuring time, and the interacting term between the measuring time and the group(p<.001), the t-test results of the samples matched to the each group`s measuring time also showed significant differences in the exercising group(p<.001). To summarize the results above, it is suggested that the 12-week boxing aerobics program can improve body composition, blood constituents, and the blood circulation, which may prevent or enhance relevant diseases such as cardiovascular disorders.

Musculoskeletal Disorder Symptoms and Related Factors among Male Workers in Small-scale Manufacturing Industries

This study was performed to determine the musculoskeletal symptoms and its association with sociodemographic and health related characteristics, job-related characteristics and occupational stress among manufacturing workers. The self-administered questionnaires were given to 856 male workers in randomly selected 62 work places with 50 or less employees in manufacturing industries during the period from October 1st, 2011 to November 30th, 2011. Complaint rates of work-related musculoskeletal symptoms was 82%. In logistic regression analysis, significant factors related with musculoskeletal symptoms were marital status, BMI, subjective health status, alcohol drinking, job position, job tenure, experience of sick absence and visiting out-patient department. In conclusion, the study results suggested that the complain rates of work-related musculoskeletal symptoms of workers in work places of manufacturing industries with 50 or less employees were higher than workers in a large enterprise or the small and medium enterprises and it was related with sociodemographic and health related characteristics, job-related characteristics and occupational stress.
The Relationship between Visual Stress and MBTI Personality Types

This study is aimed to investigate the association between web-based visual stress and MBTI personality types. The stressor deriving visual stress is built by 14 vowels out of Korean alphabet as a content and parallel striples as a background on the screen, which is given to each subject during 5min. The dependent variable indicating how much human takes visual stress is the reduction rate of flicker fusion frequency, which is evaluated with visual flicker fusion frequency tester. The independent variables are gender and 8 MBTI personality types(E-I, S-N, T-F, and J-P), and hypotheses are based on human information processing model and previous studies. The results address that the reduction rate is not significantly affected by gender, S-N, and J-P, but E-I and T-F have significant influences on it. The reduction rate in I-type is almost 2 times as much as that in E-type and T-type has the rate 2.2 times more than F-type. This study can be applicable to determine the adequate personnel for jobs requiring less sensibility to visual stressors in areas that human error may lead to critical damages to an overall system.
The Analgesic Effects of Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation and Interferential Currents on the Experimental Cold Pain Model : Frequency 50 Hz and 100 Hz

The aim of this single blind intervation study was to compare the analgesic effects of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) and interferential currents (IFC) on cold-induced pain in healthy volunteers. Sixteen subjects completed six cycles of the cold-induced pain test. During each cycle pain threshold was recorded as the time from immersion of the subject is hand in cold water to the first sensation of pain and pain intensity and unpleasantness ratings were recorded using visual analogue scales. Subjects were randomly allocated to receive each 50 Hz-TENS, 50 Hz-IFC, 100 Hz-TENS and 100 Hz-IFC. Statistical analysis showed that four interventions elevated the cold pain threshold significantly and the difference between interventions was not simply significant. But, no significant differences were identified in pain intensity and unpleasantness ratings. We conclude that there were no differences in the analgesic effects of the four interventions under the present experimental conditions. But, 50 Hz-IFC has been shown to be more comfortable than other interventions.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of aroma foot reflexology and foot reflexology on blood pressure, pulse rate and blood lipid level of elderly essential hypertensive patients in a rural area. The research method was a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design and the participants were consisted of 71 elderly patients with essential hypertension who were being registered at C health Clinic(G gun, Chungnam province). Here, we compared experimental group I(aroma foot reflexology) 24 persons, experimental group II(foot reflexology) 27 persons and control group(conventional treatment) 20 persons to measure the effect. The data were analyzed with SPSS/WIN 12.0. The systolic blood pressure(p<.05), the diastolic blood pressure(p<.05), and the pulse rates(p<.01) of experimental group I and II after intervening respectively with aroma foot reflexology, and foot reflexology for 6 weeks were significantly decreased than the control group, but the blood lipid level was no significant difference among 3 groups(p>.05). In conclusion, both of aroma foot reflexology and foot reflexology had positive effects to decrease the blood pressure and pulse rates of the elderly essential hypertensive patients in a rural area and would be utilized as a nursing intervention for them.

This study was designed to estimate the prevalence of arthritis and to identify subgroups with high prevalence rates of arthritis. Study subjects were 18,406 Korean adults aged 19 and more from the 4th (2007-2009) Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys data. Annual self-reported prevalence and its rate ratios by demographic and behavioral factors were calculated using SAS 9.2 with survey procedure. The result was as follows. The crude prevalence of arthritis was 11.7% (osteoarthritis 10.2% and rheumatoid arthritis 1.7%). The prevalence was increased by age strata (2.4% in 19-44 aged, 16.4% in 45-64, 38.3% in 65 and more). After adjusting for age, we found the subgroups with high prevalence: older people, women, residents in non-apartment area, separated and divorced people, people with low education, people with several occupations (agricultural and fishery workers, elementary occupations, and unemployed), people with low household incomes, people with medical aid, and people with higher BMI. Those subgroups may be target populations in community health programs to control the disability from arthritis.

This study is to provide basic data for a higher level of customer satisfaction by investigating the satisfaction factors of and dissatisfaction factors for the outpatients. The survey was conducted with the outpatients in a general hospital located in Daejeon on October 24, 2011. A total of 160 questionnaires were distributed and 144 copies were used as the statistical analysis. As a result of the research, it is found that convenience is the most influential factor to affect on the overall satisfaction and willingness to recommend to other people among the characteristics of the administrative support division, which is the quickness and simplicity of the admission and receipt procedure, and it is also found that the comfortability of examination room and outpatient treatment waiting room affects on it in common. In conclusion, it is considered that if a customer-oriented hospital management system is built and operated for the satisfaction of customers, the competitiveness of hospital will be improved and the sustainability of hospital will increase and the business goal that is customer satisfaction management will be achieved.

The purpose of this study was performed to evaluate the effect of the cut down drinking circle activity on knowledge, perception of drinking cultures and drinking problem to the university students. Study period was from April to November. The participants of this study included 95 university students, located in the adjoining region of K city. While one of the group, composed of 47 students was designated as an experimental group, and the other group, composed of 48 students, was compared as a control group. Data analysis was done using
-test, t-test, they were processed SPSS 17.0. For homogeneous, general character, knowledge of drinking, perception of drinking cultures, drinking problem were measured pretest. The result were homogeneous group. The findings in this research were as follows. Knowledge of cut down drinking circle activity was significant difference between the two groups. On the other hand, the effect on perception of drinking cultures and drinking problem were not significantly different. These findings in the study give us the necessity of the cut down drinking circle activity for university students. It is also meaningful for this program to apply university students to various programs of alcohol-related problems.
The Effects of Trunk Muscle Strengthening Exercises on Balance Performance of Sitting Posture and Muscle Tone of Children with Cerebral Palsy

This study aims to investigate the effect of trunk muscle strengthening exercises on balance performance of sitting posture and muscle tone, targeting the children with spastic diplegic cerebral palsy. 16 children with spastic diplegic cerebral palsy in IV phase of GMFCS were sampled at random and the tests were conducted for 6 weeks, 3 times per week. For experimental groups, only trunk muscle strengthening exercises were conducted and for control groups, only basic physical therapy was conducted. The trunk muscle strengthening exercise consisted of 2 exercises to strengthen abdominal muscles and back muscles. BPM(Balance Performance Monitor) was used to measure balance performance and MMAS(Modified Modified Ashworth Scale) was used to measure muscle tone. As a result, the changes of sitting balance performance in experimental groups and control groups show significant difference in the changes of sway path and sway velocity(p<.05), the comparison of changes in sitting balance performance in between experimental groups and control groups show significant difference in the changes of sway path and sway velocity(p<.05). Knee flexor muscles and hip adductor muscles in both groups show no significant difference in changes of the muscle tone(p>.05). Therefore, the balance performance in both experimental groups and control groups was improved. However, the experimental group had more significant improvement in balance performance and no change in muscle tone was detected in both groups. Thus, these findings show trunk muscle strengthening exercises are effective in improving the balance performance of sitting posture for the children with spastic diplegic cerebral palsy without changing muscle tone.
Health Status and Affecting Factors related to Job among Korean Women Employees

This is a descriptive correlation study to identify health status and affecting factors related to job among Korean women employees. Data were obtained from women employees aged 20 to 64 using the Korean Working Conditions Survey 2006(KWCS). Stepwise multiple regression analysis using SAS version 9.1 was performed to identify affecting factors on physical and psychological health status related to job among Korean women employees. Musculoskeletal work-load was the most significant factor affecting on both physical and psychological health status. Modification of work environment to relieve musculoskeletal work-load, systemic health management and health education needs to be given to women employees who were exposed to high musculoskeletal work-load.
The Validity, Reliability and Discriminative Index of the Korean Version of Modified Barthel Index(K-MBI) in Stroke Patients

The purpose of this study was to identify the validity, reliability, and discriminative index of the Korean version of Modified Barthel Index (K-MBI). For this, two hundreds twenty-thee stroke patients participated. Activities of daily living were measured through using K-MBI. Factor analysis was performed for identifying the construct validity and internal consistent and discriminative index were calculated. The result of factor analysis was that the 10 items of K-MBI have communality above .50, and was constructed one factor. Explained variance was 72.184%. The order of factor loading value was toileting, personal hygiene, transfer from bed to chair and back, ambulation/wheelchair, dressing, feeding, bowel control, bathing, bladder control, and stair climbing. Cronbach
of K-MBI was .994. The range of discriminative index was .783~.909, and was acceptable. One factor of K-MBI was identified through factor analysis, and reliability and discriminative index was also identified. Various psychometric properties of K-MBI should be investigated in further studies for valid assessment of activities of daily living in stroke patients.
Characteristic of Planar Spiral Inductor for Wireless Signal Transmission based on AC Coupling

In this paper, we proposed planar spiral inductors based on AC coupling for high-frequency wireless signal transmission. Design and characteristics of various structures of the inductor were analyzed. Capacitance between the inductors can be reduced by positioning two thin-film inductors in parallel. So two structures were proposed. First structure is inter-diagonal structure. This structure was made not to overlap the wire part of the paralleled two inductors. Second structure is On-chip type structure that the two thin-film inductors were in parallel but located on diagonal line not to face each other. The resonance in this structure was reduced from twice to once by increasing horizontal distance between the two thin-film inductors, because the capacitance effect between the two thin-film inductors decreases when the distance between the two inductors increases.

In this paper, we propose a Pedestrian Position Information System(PPIS) using low-cost inertial sensors in GPS-disabled area. The proposed scheme estimates the attitude/heading angle and step detection of pedestrian. Additionally, the estimation error due to the inertial sensors is mitigated by using additional sensors. We implement a portable hardware module to evaluate performance of the proposed system. Through the experiments in indoor building, the estimation error of position information was measured as 2.4% approximately.
The Study on the Antireflection(AR) Coating Design Scheme According to the Index Profile in the Thin-Film Silicon Solar Cell

This paper shows an antireflection coating design skill for utilization the thin-film silicon solar cell in the future. The reflectivity of each index profile previously suggested as linear, cubic and quintic function has been calculated and compared. Each index profile is applied to the antireflection coating consisting of 6 layers with 180nm thickness. Also we suggest the graded index profile and compare it`s reflectivity to the linear, cubic and quintic`s ones. As a results we find the reflectivity generally decreases as the order goes to higher. However the reflectivity in the graded index profile shows the higher(lower) value than ones in the linear, cubic and quintic especially in the shorter(longer) wavelength range from 500 nm to below 700 nm(above 700 nm to 800 nm). Therefore we find that the graded index profile structure could be applied for the better antireflection coating design scheme especially for optical device and optical filter in the range of from deep red to infrared.

The Study for the Reconstruction of two objects using the Stereo X-ray Inspection System

The Stereo X-ray inspection system is designed for effectively providing the additional information of objects than the conventional inspection system that offers only 2D cross-section of objects. We studied the geometric improvement of the stereo X-ray inspection system, the stereo matching algorithm of the single object using the edge and the volume reconstruction method for the inspected object. In this paper, we conduct a matching algorithm to find the correspondences between the images and reconstruct 3-D shapes of real objects using the stereo X-ray images. Also, we apply a new 3D reconstruction algorithm for the discrimination of two objects. For the separation of the overlapping objects, we calculate the vector of the object and divide inner and outer voxel of objects. And for the elimination of the overlapping area, we study the reconstruct 3D shapes using the threshold based Z-axis. The experimental results show that the proposed technique can enhance the accuracy of stereo matching and give more efficient visualization for overlap objects in the restricted environment.
Chaotic Circuit with Voltage Controllability for Secure Communication Applications

This paper presents a chaotic circuit with voltage controllability for secure communication applications. The proposed circuit which has two control voltages consists of the nonlinear function block(NFB) with three MOS transistors, one source follower and non-overlapping two-phase clock generator for sample and hold. By SPICE simulation, chaotic dynamics such as time waveform, frequency analysis and bifurcations were analyzed. SPICE results showed that proposed circuit can make various chaotic signals by control voltage.
Study on a broadband quasi-Yagi antenna for mobile base station

In this paper, a method for the improvement in the gain and bandwidth of a microstrip-fed broadband planar quasi-Yagi antenna (QYA) is studied. The broadband characteristics of the QYA are achieved from the coplanar strip-fed planar dipole driver and a parasitic director close to the driver. In order to obtain stable gain variation over the required frequency band, a director and a ground reflector are appended to the driver having a nearby parasitic director. The QYA is fed through an integrated balun composed of a microstrip line and a slot line which are terminated in a short circuit. By adjusting the feeding point, a broadband impedance matching is obtained. A QYA with an operating frequency band of 1.75-2.7 GHz and a gain > 4.5 dBi is designed and fabricated on an FR4 substrate with dielectric constant of 4.4 and thickness of 1.6mm. The experimental results show that the fabricated antenna has good performance such as a broad bandwidth of 59.7%(1.55-2.87 GHz), a stable gain between 4.7-6.5 dBi, and a front-to-back ratio > 10 dB. The measured data agree well with the simulation, which validates this study.

The conventional block systems for railway signaling currently in operation in Korea have not been electrified or integrated and therefore there have been difficulties in terms of construction and maintenance. Two independent systems have been installed for ABS and LEU of ATP system (for speeded-up lines), although they deal with the same signaling information at the same location in order to control the trains. In these conventional ABS and LEU, a number of duplicate modules are installed in each device including lamp detection units and power supply units and it results increased manufacturing costs and maintenance efforts. This paper deals with the prototype development of integrated electronic block system with CPU-based digital control methods in order to overcome the limitations of the conventional ABS. The suggested system is the integration of the conventional ABS with LEU of ATP and it is also applicable for the non-ATP sections as well.
Implementation of AC Direct Driver Circuit for Ultra-slim LED Flat Light System

LEDs are becoming the most suitable candidate replacing traditional fluorescent lamps because of its eco-friendly characteristics. LEDs are also actively used to design green building system and to make outdoor billboard as a back-light system due to its high energy efficiency. In this paper, we have developed AC direct driver for
FLB(flexible LED board) and LED flat light without SMPS. It has LID-PC-R101B driver IC that can support the high power factor and be composed of LED switching circuit in group. Also, an elaborate system designs can guarantee a high luminous efficiency, a high reliability and a low power consumption. The proposed FLB has the ultra slim shape of
mm, width of 4 mm and weight of 280 g. In the end, we have developed a prototype of FLB for billboard and flat light for room lighting with AC direct driver iposrder to verify the performance of the proposed system.

Because wind turbines are larger and more off-shore construction due to economic and environmental factors, it is more difficult to access the wind turbine as well as the necessary parts and the maintenance costs are increasing. So, we need to minimize fault elements and to prevent a secondary accident at failure through monitoring to reduce maintenance costs and to increase reliability of operation. In this paper we have implemented ZigBee based wireless sensor nodes and network for wind turbine condition monitoring using temperature, humidity, voltage, current, wind direction, and wind speed sensors. ZigBee wireless sensor nodes signals are transmitted to a central monitoring system via routers. Also, the sensor signals are collected and processed using LabVIEW program to monitor the wind turbine conveniently. The administrators and users can monitor the condition of wind turbine at remote site in real time over TCP/IP.

Smart phone that have touch screen, sound input/output, network and various sensor functions to robot platform that have simplicity function of power and motor etc. graft together and embodied so that can achieve function of remote control, home automation, game machine, R-running race etc. Phone used in the study of the Bluetooth communication sending and receiving data between the robot and from a remote computer over the Internet via WI-FI is designed to perform communication.
The Study of Bot Program Detection based on User Behavior in Online Game Environment

Recently, online-game industry has been rapidly expanding in these days. But, the various game service victimized cases are generated by the bots program. Particularly, the abnormal collection of the game money and item loses the inherent fun of a game. It reaches ultimately the definite bad effect to the game life cycle. In this paper, we propose a Bots detection method by observing the playing patterns of game characters with game log data. It analyzed behaviors of human players as well as bots and identified features to build the model to differentiate bots from human players. In an experiment, by using the served online-game, the model of a user and bots were generated was distinguished. And the reasonable result was confirmed.

Software quality is strongly associated with requirement quality. Accordingly, companies are trying effect for enhancing requirement quality. But, it is difficult to verify the requirement of specification format, which have to rely on abnormal business knowledge of analyst. Also, it is insufficient to normal methodology or automated technique for enhancing requirement quality of specification format. In this paper, we propose the process of requirement verification and automated verification tool for enhancing requirement quality. we compare the external view design and internal view design for verifying requirement. In the case study, we evaluate the feasibility of the proposed automated verification technique of requirement.
A Study on the protection of personal information using a Virtual IDs in an anonymous bulletin board

The argument related to the use of real and anonymous names on the Internet bulletin board has recently become a main issue. When using real names, it is possible to violate free discussion and privacy. Also, when using anonymous names, it is possible to have the reverse function of the Internet in regard to the use of malicious replies or the distribution of false ideas. Therefore, this paper has made it possible to prevent the spread of the user`s personal information and execute the single log-in process by using the XML-token method which is one of the SSO technologies. Also, by issuing virtual IDs and forming the path when establishing tokens, the anonymous bulletin board which provides anonymity with a conditional tracing process has been suggested. After analyzing the performance of visitor numbers at authentication time, the anonymous bulletin board based on the group signature method showed the average response rate of 0.72 seconds, 0.18 seconds, which was suggested scheme. In the authentication time 4-5 times faster response speed, respectively. Also, since the suggested system does not have to provide a single authentication process or make the user provide his or her signature, the level of user`s convenience seems to be much higher. Such a result shows that the system suggested on the anonymous bulletin board has a more appropriate level of user`s convenience.

As Internet usage is rapidly spreading, tasks that were only possible offline are now available in cyber space but at the same time, new security threats such as hacking and viruses have also increased. For that reason, Comprehensive and methodical information security systems are therefore required in enterprises and organizations. Consequently, the Information Security Management System certification system has been in effect in Korea since July 2001. As of December 2012, 130 enterprises have been certified, and more than 120 ISO27001 certifications have been issued. As such, since the introduction of the ISMS certification system in Korea, the demand for the certification has been steadily increasing, and it is now recognized as an integral part of maintaining the competitiveness in an enterprise. However, the qualitative aspects of certification regarding the effectiveness of ISMS have been continuously questioned by actual customers. In order to clarify the situation and remove such doubts, this study will substantiate the fact that development and certification of ISMS positively affect the business performance of enterprises so that they will recognize the effect of obtaining ISMS certification and eventually prevent security accidents and improve their business performance by developing ISMS.
A UML Profile for USN Application Development based on Software Product Line Approach

USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) application S/W has a complex characteristic that it controls various kind of sensor nodes organically based on the core modules of various target operating systems. Currently, various researches for efficient S/W development are being performed in USN application field. In order to increase S/W productivity, the method such as product line development approach to specify core common functions of applications according to the domain and develop applications with the core common functions and variant functions selected according to the workflow of applications is efficient. To apply this approach to the USN domain, characteristics of USN application S/W and product line development should be specified with one consistent view. However, it is difficult to efficiently specify the characteristics using general UML notations. In order to solve the problem, this paper proposes a method to effectively specify the characteristics of USN applications and product line development using UML profile which is the extension mechanism of UML. The proposed UML profile for produce line based USN application development enables developers to effectively develop product line based USN applications using existing UML and UML support tools without new design methods or tools which are specified for USN or product line development.

This study aims to analyze the late 18th century Hanghae-Gamsa`s(黃海監司; the provincial governor of Hanghae-Do) utilization of governing institutions in Haeju-Mok(海州牧) focused on his duties and ritual ceremonies. Haeyeong-Ilgi("海營日記") which is Hangha-Gamsa`s official diary written by Mae-Su Seo(1731-1818) is closely investigated for that purpose. The arrival ceremonies were held at Geumcheon and the Gyogwui(交龜; the change-over ritual ceremonies) were held at Geumcheon and Baecheon. Especially the arrival ceremony held at Haeju-Mok is very spectacular compared with other cities. Through this study it was able to confirm the place of regular and irregular ritual ceremonies held and the aspects of governing institutions` utilization in Haeju-Mok.

The investigation of the undrained strength and the important several undrained geotechnical properties was, in detail, made for highly plastic soils using the field and laboratory testing results. The plastic index, activity, water content, and effective unit weight did not show the notable relationship with both Su and normalized Su. The OCR, sensitivity, and undrained elastic modulus presented remarkable tendency with normalized Su. It could be concluded that the use of the normalized Su may lead to the reasonable results then the normalized Su needs further research.

Therefore, city need to deduct major reproduction issue to improve aging problem and prepare effective counterplan in complex and surround area by reproduction. This study progress through three steps of research. First, arrange problem of aging complex and way of response sustainably. Second, understand the importance by group toward improvement and aging problem that appear aging apartment complex through survey and opinion of expert. Third, comprehend major reproduction issue over this.
Experimental Study on the Slip Coefficient with Member Type and Dimensions of High Tension Bolt Hole

Slip coefficient, whose value is dependent on the condition of contact surface at the friction joint of high tension bolt, is determined by slip load. Because contact area affects slip load, contact area that varies with bolt hole size is also related to the slip coefficient. In this study, we manufactured 32 specimens and performed bending and tension tests in order to examine changes in slip coefficient and load with material type, bolt diameter, and size of bolt hole. Slip load of specimens with oversize bolt hole had strength that was more than 80% higher than the slip load of specimens with standard bolt hole, and it also exceeded the design slip strength. In addition, we observed significant correlation between net-section ratio and slip ratio of specimens with oversize and standard bolt hole. However, some differences between the specimens are thought to have been caused by reduction in initial axial force of high tension bolt, which is an important parameter of slip coefficient. It is self-evident that increased bolt hole size would lead to decrease in design strength as it reduces both slip coefficient and bolt axial force. Nevertheless, we suggest that some flexibility in regulation of bolt hole, as long as it does not threaten the structural stability, may be a positive factor in terms of workability and efficiency.
A Study on the Prediction of Civil Construction Cost on Apartment Housing Projects at the Early Stage

At the early construction project stage, the most important task is to estimate planned construction costs analyzed with detailed information. Therefore, in this study, Apartment Housing Projects at the Early Stage of Civil Construction Cost of the reasonable and accurate predictions of the Regression analysis to 170 of actual Construction Cost, and dependent variable regression to Civil Construction Cost, location based national land area based on a combination of private land, union land, public land to the use of predictive models by various analyses of the ease and accuracy. As a result, Civil Construction Cost of Apartment Housing Projects by the regression formula for the error rate estimates in national land predictive model 15.59%, private land predictive model 17.53%, union land predictive model 21.86%, public land predictive model 13.08%.
Inelastic Seismic Behavior of Low-story Standard School Buildings according to Characteristics of Earthquake Loads and Hysteresis Models

The inelastic response characteristics of the standard school buildings depending on selection of hysteresis models and variable earthquakes are studied. Three earthquake records of El-centro, Santa-Monica, Taft in accordance with KBC2009 standard and four inelastic hysteresis models such as Degrading tri-linear model, Clough model, Takeda model, and Modified Takeda model are used. The inelastic response characteristics such as story shear force, story drift ratio, story displacement are reviewed. As results, El-centro earthquake shows large response in transverse direction and Santa Monica earthquake shows larger response in longitudinal direction on the contrary. Taft earthquake shows less variation of story drift ratio and story displacement for all hysteresis models and stable response.
An Experimental Study on the Waterproofing Performance of Expansion Equipment for Underground Structures

Underground structures without the expansion joint in the settled intervals, the underground structures may suffer from structural crack and the water leakage thereby resulting in the occurance of the efflorescence. In this study, the performance of new expansion joint used in underground structures were verified. The spacing of expansion joint was defined by the finite element analysis. Expansion length, resistance and waterproofing performance of developed expansion joint were confirmed by experiment.

An Analysis on the Interrelationship between Land-use Characteristics and Damages caused by Natural Hazards

This study examines the effect of diverse land-use characteristics on the total sum of damages caused by natural hazards. The empirical results show that impermeable layer area, industrial land area, bare land area, stream area, and so on have a positive influence on damages, and that the area of levee has a strongly negative relationship with them. Therefore, this study strives to propose some efficient natural hazard mitigation ways in terms of land-use planning, based on our empirical findings.
Annual Variations(2001-2010) of Phytoplankton Standing Stocks in Saemangeum Water Region

Phytoplankton standing stocks had been researched in Saemangeum water region from 2001 to 2010 belong to the construction period of Saemangeum dike. The big change of phytoplankton standing stocks was shown, reaching 57 - 85,219 cells/ml according to the sampling seasons and stations. Inside of Saemangeum lake, a flux of fresh water and sea water made the phytoplankton standing stocks changed spatiotemporally. Meanwhile, the water bloom was frequent with continuously high standing stocks of fresh water stations and the standing stocks outside of the dike have been normal. In the long-term point of view, the standing stock did not show a big change comparing to the before and after of closing the dike(April, 2006).
Development and Performance Evaluation of a Liquid Particle Generator

In this work, we developed and evaluated the Liquid Particle Generator for generating fine particles in the air. The Liquid Particle Generator, which was based on the spray-evaporation method, had two kinds of orifices: 0.3 mm and 0.5 mm. The Liquid Particle Generator was operated at different pressure between 1 bar and 4 bars to find relationship between input pressure and droplet output rate. In addition, the size distribution of the droplets generated by the Liquid Particle Generator with different orifices was measured by the SMPS system and the optical particle counter. As a result, it was shown that the Liquid Particle Generator with 0.3 mm orifice generated droplets of around 0.3
and atomized particles very stably. The Liquid Particle Generator having 0.5 mm orifice generated bigger droplets, compared with the Liquid Particle Generator with 0.3 mm orifice. Additionally, in these Liquid Particle Generators (0.3 mm and 0.5 mm orifice), little coagulation of particles did occur because of fine droplets atomized by the jet. Therefore, the Liquid Particle Generator could be used as an aerosol generator for atomizing fine particles.
A Web-based Realtime Monitoring System for Photobioreactor

This paper presents a web-based real-time monitoring system for a photobioreactor using an WiFi wireless network. An WiFi interface can support high speed data transfer, up to 11Mbps and it can be compatible with commercial wireless LAN environment. Thus, the proposed cell culture based on WiFi network can be easily applied to the reconfigurable system and real-time monitoring system. In this paper, we integrate the commercial WiFi module to the various bio-sensors and sensor control board to configure the wireless network. After we evaluate application S/W for monitoring the environment within incubator, we verify the proposed sensor networks for a cell culture system and its monitoring system. This result can be applicable for various bio-applications that require the network configuration and real-time monitoring system.

ASRP(Ammunition Stockpile Reliability Program) Data is stored and operated in the field of evaluating the ammunition is not only the only field data but also the ammunition performance-oriented data can determine objectively the power of the artillery. However, ASRP has been used as a yardstick to judge the status of ammunitions stockpiled in the field. On the other hand re-evaluation of the accumulated data and in-depth research have not been carried out. A Study on the Effective Management of Artillery Ammunition using ASRP data suggests how to utilize the ASRP data to analyze and manage existing artillery forces whose focus is centered on increasing the performance of artillery ammunitions through setting the test intervals of deployed stockpiled ammunitions, forecasting the shelf-life of ammunitions, and analyzing the effectiveness of the military strength through modelling and simulation.
