Integrity Evaluation for 3D Cracked Structures(II)

Three Surface cracks are among the more common flaws in aircraft and pressure vessel components. Accurate stress intensity analyses and crack growth rate data of surface-cracked components are needed for reliable prediction of their fatigue life and fracture strengths. Three Dimensional finite element method (FEM) was used to obtain the stress intensity factor for surface cracks existing in structures. A geometry model, i.e. a solid containing one or several 3D cracks is defined. Nodes are generated by bucket method, and quadratic tetrahedral solid elements are generated by the Delaunay triangulation techniques. To examine accuracy and efficiency of the present system, the stress intensity factor for a semi-elliptical surface crack in cylindrical structures subjected to pressure is calculated. Analysis results by present system showed good agreement with those by ASME equation and Raju-Newman`s equation.
Study on the Design of Optimal Grinding Control System Using LabView

This paper proposed the optimal algorithm of grinding system and the method to realize it. The optimal function was proposed in order to design the optimal grinding process. DE(Differential Evolution) algorithm was used to obtain the selective optimal function. The realization of algorithm was implemented by LabView software used widely at industrial field and the proposed algorithm was verified for through computer simulation. The result of the proposed algorithm can be used for the guide line of the grinding process.
A Estimation of Thermal Fatigue Performance in Three-way Catalyst

This study examines thermal safety on three-way catalyst that dominates 70% among whole exhaust gas purification device in 2003. Three-way catalyst maintains high temperature in interior domain but maintains low temperature on outside surface. Therefore this device shows tensile stress on outside surface. Temperature distribution of three-way catalyst was acquired by thermal flow analysis for predicted thermal flow parameter. Thermal stress analysis for three-way catalysis was performed based on this temperature distribution. Thermal safety of three-way catalyst was estimated by strength reduction factor and failure probability.
Study on the Characteristics of Gasoline and Diesel by Ceramic Bar

Recently, variety of methods have been studied to improve automotive fuel economy and the reduction of exhaust emissions. The purpose of this study is to identify the change in the molecular structure of gasoline and diesel by the ion ceramic bar according to the immersion time and to predict the effect for the fuel economy and exhaust emissions by the immersion time. In order to achieve the purpose, we got sedimentation samples for physical analysis and chemical analysis by experiments and characteristics were analyzed. As a result, the changes in the molecular structure by the ceramic bar in the engine by the chemical and physical analysis was able to predict the performance improvement in the case of gasoline. But there is a need to produce suitable ceramic bar for the diesel because there was an irregular change depending on the time of sedimentation in the diesel.
A Study on deformation compensation of press part based on reverse engineering

In this study, we suggested new method for compensation on spring back of press part. At first, we compared between error on CAD data and scanning data. The new method can be substituted for manual modeling process in compensation on spring back. The new method is available for automatic modeling based on 3D scanning data. From the study, the results expect that time and cost reduction for process applying new method for compensation on spring back of press part.
A development of a general purposed control system of robot end-effector for inspection and maintenance of steam generator heat pipe

The general purposed control system for driving a motion of many different typed robot end-effector, which consists of a controller based on ARM Cotex M3-11017 MCU and an application software for generating a motion of end-effector, was developed. Experimental results show that a positioning error is nearly negligible and a repeatability error is 0.04%. Accordingly the developed control system can be applied practically to actuate a robot end-effector for inspection and maintenance of steam generator heat pipe in nuclear power plant.
Study on Structural Strength Analysis of Automotive Seat Frame

Seat is the part relevant to comfortableness and safety among automotive parts directly. It also should have sufficient stiffness and strength to satisfy these conditions and ensure the safety of passenger. Automotive seat is modelled with 3D and is simulated with structural analyses about three kinds of experiments by before and after gap, side gap, before and after moment strength. As analysis result, deformation angles of
are respectively shown at before and after gap test, side gap test. Through before and after the moment strength test, maximum total deformations of 0.18946mm and 3.2482mm are respectively shown at front and rear loads. By the study result of no excessive deformation and no fracture at automotive seat frame, the sufficient rigidity and strength to guarantee the safety of passenger can be verified.
A Study on the Development of Noncontact Soldering Device of PV Cells Using Infrared Lamp

The reflector of infrared lamp is designed to the optimal circular shape through the analyses of lumination distributions with a triangular, rectangular and circular configurations of infrared lamps respectively by using Photopia. PLC is used to compare and amplify the difference between soldering temperature profile and feedback value. It is fed to IR lamp controller which adjusts the soldering temperature of PV cell. The soldering temperature measured using an infrared temperature sensor is then fed back to the PLC. The closed control loop of soldering temperature on a PV cell is implemented. The noncontact soldering device of PV cells using infrared lamp which is easily operated by HMI operation panel and controlled robustly by PLC and IR lamp controller is developed.
Experimental Study on Noise Reduction of Fan for Automotive Air Conditioner

This paper is the experimental study to investigate the noise sources location in order to reduce the noise level of line flow fan for the air conditioner in the subway car. The noise of line flow fan is caused by various factors such as the turbulence by air flow, random noise, noise of blade passing frequence(681Hz) and noise due to structural vibration of rotor unbalance(28.4Hz) by motor revolution. By performing the noise reduction on each sound source, the noise level is decreased as much as 5.7dB(A) through the controls of housing guide angle and distance, the configuration changes of flow passage shape and rotor balancing.
Study on Torsion due to Automotive Body Type at Track Driving

Because there is no suspension and differential devices at cart body, the deformation of the frame happened during kart driving affects the driving performance caused by the elastic deformation and the fatigue life of kart frame resulted from the permanent deformation. The dynamic behavior of kart caused by the torsional deformation during circular driving is the important factor of these two kinds of deformations. In order to analyze the dynamic behavior of kart at this curved section, GPS is used to trace the track of kart and the torsional stress at kart-frame has been measured with real time. The mechanical properties of kart-frames for leisure and racing are investigated through material property analysis and tensile test. Torsional stress concentration and frame distortion are investigated through stress analysis on frame on the basis of study result. The real karts for leisure and racing kart are also tested in each driving condition by using the driving analysis equipment. The driving behavior of kart at the curved section are investigated through this test. As the phenomenon of load movement due to centrifugal force at car is happened during circular driving, the torsional stress occurs at cart steel frame.

Performance Characteristics of Vehicle Air Conditioning System Using Internal Heat Exchanger with Inner Fin

Internal heat exchanger (IHX) apparatus using the temperature difference between high and low pressure lines in vehicle air conditioning system is a good method to enhance the cooling performance. In this study, we designed various double-pipe internal heat exchangers which have inner fins between the internal pipe and external pipe. We also measured the performance characteristic (pressure drop, cooling capacity, compressor work and coefficient of performance (COP)) of the modified internal heat exchangers that had the change of the fin height and the inside shape of the internal pipe. This experimental results indicated that the liner and serration type internal heat exchanger was the best cooling performance. In addition, the air conditioning system with the liner and serration type internal heat exchanger showed the improved performances of about 6.4% and 9.2%, respectively, for the cooling capacity and COP.
A Study on the Factors that Influence Consumers when Purchasing or Renting Hanbok

The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that influence consumers when they purchase or rent Hanbok. We investigated the factors which affect consumers buying Hanbok, out of expectation that the rising interest in Hanbok caused by diversification of design and other various reasons would have a positive impact on purchases. Reflecting the increase of consumers renting Hanbok in the study, we also analyzed the factors that have an influence on rentals and compared the determinants of purchasing Hanbok and that of renting it. It turned out that consumers are mainly influenced by design, popular colors they prefer, and recommendation of clerks or friends. Through the comparison, we discovered that the purchasing group is more influenced by design while the renting group is more influenced by recommendation of friends and clerks. This result suggests that it would be an effective marketing strategy for shops to strengthen competitiveness by diversifing design of Hanbok, and for rental shops to do so by placing professional salesperson.
A Study on Process Models for Proposal Evaluation of R&D EU Government Support Programmes

The EU in order to surpass the United States in the world economy have tried several aspects. Economic growth is possible through the technological competitiveness of this industry, and also through the development of industrial technology and employment. Such EU Commission has taken several support policies in order to raise the R & D capabilities. Non-EU member countries, Korea, R & D pipe central incisor see support for the policy proposal evaluation for women is important. The aim of this paper is to analyze the proposal evaluation process of the EU commission for R&D projects. I argue that the EU`s methode of proposal evaluation for EU R&D consists of five stages: expert briefings, proposals for individual assessment, consensus and finally a panel evaluation. The main features of the EU`s R&D evaluation process for proposals are experts and panel evaluation. The Korean government could select, operate and manage experts for the EU`s R&D evaluation. That would lead to a higher rate of success for Korean proposals in the EU.
A Review on the Financial and Legal Characteristics of `Leveraged Buyout(LBO)` in the Korean Capital Markets

While relatively many researches have been performed on the legal issues of leverage buyout(LBO) in the Korean capital market, the on-going `interdisciplinary studies` between the legal and the financial aspects of LBO financing structure seems to be relatively few so far. In this particular study, the concept and major financing structures on LBO have been discussed, by which domestic investors including institutional investors, may acquire in-depth knowledge on the issue given the dynamically changing circumstances surrounding the Korean domestic capital market. Moreover, legal analyses related to the conventional case studies on two types of LBO structures such as `asset-backed LBO` and `merger-related LBO`, have been illustrated, coupled with the review of the previous literature on mergers & acquisitions(M&A) related to the financial aspects of LBO financing structure. From the director`s perspective, who is employed by an acquired firm, legal issues in terms of `fiduciary duty` and `duty of loyalty` have been discussed, along with the logical scope of `business judgement principle` in terms of modern finance theory.
The Accuracy Analysis of VRS GNSS for Applying Cadastral Surveying

This study is to analyze the accuracy of position determination in cadastral surveying using VRS GNSS(GPS/GLONASS), and is to suggest a possibility to improvement of accuracy in decision making of cadastral surveying result based on this result. As a result of this study, the position accurate of this study, which decides position combining with GPS/GLONASS satellite data is about 3cm more accurate than using only GPS satellite data. Therefore, if GNSS integrated receiving method is to be applied on cadastration, it can be expected to improve to estimate the position accuracy.
The determinants of family firm`s debt structure

In this paper, we examine the impact of family ownership mechanism on the firm`s debt policy. Our results show that family firms tend to have a lower debt level, compared with non-family firms. Foreign investors are found to lead to a reduction in the firm`s debt level through their monitoring incentives for dominating large shareholders. The firm`s profitablily is related to a lower level of debt, whereas higher tangible assets and firm size are positively associated with high debt ratios due to the possibility of large collateral assets. Some implications are that foreign investors can reduce the agency costs of dominating large shareholders in family firms through monitoring activities, thus enhancing the efficiency of business decision-makings.
A Study in Terms of the Impact of Oral Health Care·Management item on the Self-Perceived Oral Condition of the Elderly

This study targeted 501 the elderly ages 65 or over in three places including the Senior Welfare Center and the college for seniors located in Daegu City and Gyeongsangbuk-do. The study results on the preference for oral health care management items across different ages showed that the age group of 65~69 fluoride application; the age group of 65~74 scaling and education of brushing; the age group of 70~74 denture cleaning and maintenance; the age group of 75 denture production. In the relationship between the self-perceived oral condition and the items of oral health care management, respondents who currently have a poor oral condition or have greater chewing trouble, or have higher dry mouth, preference the manufacturing of dentures in most cases. Respondents who have a lower number of teeth or wear dentures preference dentures cleansing and management in most cases. Respondents who have shaking teeth or have frequent tooth pain preference tooth extraction. Since the preference for oral health care management items may differ by their age or oral condition, oral health management customized to each individual should be applied.
Present Situation of Old-Age Income Security and Tasks for the Legal Improvement

Korea, like most of other countries, is enforcing the national pension as social insurance which is a kind of the income policy. Despite the fundamental limitation on public pension or the imperfect policy, the guarantee of the minimum living standard for maintaining dignity of human being is not being reached for the standard. Poverty rate of the elderly in Korea is the first among the OECD countries and public pension dead zone is very large. The elderly low income class could become a serious social problem if low fertility and aging keep getting worse. In this study, I will analyze the present condition of the retirement security for the elderly in South Korea. Also, I will look into the present situation of old-age income security and determine problems, and propose the improvement devices for related laws.
Change of Learning Motivation and Self-Efficacy according to Participation in a Motivational Program

The purpose of this study wat to investigate relationships of learning motivation and self-efficacy according to participation in a motivational program for university freshman studying physical education. A total of 66 university freshman participated in the current study and divided into experimental group and control group. Questionnaires were distributed before and after motivational program. Statistical methods used in this study were descriptive analysis, paired t-test, ANOVA, and ANCOVA. The results showed the following. First, There was a significant difference in the external motivation variable of learning motivation of the experimental group. Second, the experimental group showed a statistical difference between pretest and posttest in the confidence variable of self-efficacy. positive attitude influenced on leisure satisfaction.
The Mediating Effects of Job Satisfaction on the Relationship between Organization Culture and Organizational Citizenship Behavior of Social Welfare Organizations

This study examined the mediating effects of job satisfaction on the relationship between organizational culture and organizational citizenship behavior in social welfare organizations. For the research, organizational culture was measured by Kimberly & Quinn`s competing value model. This study analyzed 260 social workers by survey. The multiple regression model proposed by Baron & Kenny and sobel test were used. The results of this study were summarized as follows: Descriptive statistics showed that social workers perceived the level of organizational culture, job satisfaction, and organizational citizenship behavior had a higher than medium. By using a regression, organizational culture and job satisfaction have a positive effects on the organizational citizenship behavior. Especially, there is a mediating effect of job satisfaction in association with organizational culture and organizational citizenship behavior. This study finally discussed theoretical implications for future study and practical implications for organizational culture and job satisfaction strategies on the results.
The impacts of foreign institutional investors and governance mechanism on the cost of debt

This paper examines the impact of corporate governance structure on the cost of debt. Total sample is divided into the small sample, the medium sample and the large sample of equity concentration, based on the equity ownership of large shareholders. Our regression results show that foreign investors are not associated with the cost of debt in the small and medium samples of equity ownership, whereas foreign investors are significantly associated with the reduction in the cost of debt in the large sample of equity concentration. Academic implications of our findings are that as the ownership of dominating shareholders rises, they seek their private interests of perks causing an increase in agency costs and a decrease in firm`s economic value, thus expanding borrowing costs. Practical business implications are that foreign investors may alleviate agency problem of dominating large shareholders in the firm through monitoring activities, thus enhancing the efficiency of business decision-makings.
The Study on Relation between Temperament, Emotional Intelligence and Peer Competence of Young Children

This study tried to analyse the effect of young children`s sexuality, ages, temperament and emotional intelligence upon the peer competence. The subjects were 250 children from H and W childcare center in J city. Date were analysed by multiple regression analysis with SPSS. According to this research, there are three specific results. First, a general tendency of children`s temperament, emotional intelligence and peer competence is related with normal distribution. The Second indicated that the peer competence was closely associated with young children`s sexuality, ages, temperament and emotional intelligence. Finally the emotional intelligence was the strongest predictor for peer competence of young children and sexuality and temperament also notable variables. Therefore, according to this research, a special education program for improvement of peer competence is strongly desired.
The Influence of Career-barrier of the disabled upon dysfunctional Career-thought

This study is for finding out Career-barrier of the disabled, and for analyzing the effect of Career-barrier on the dysfunctional career-thought. For this study, 180 disabled people were surveyed. The results are as follows; First, the career-barriers that the disabled people perceive are in order; lack of occupational information, lack of social support, low self-concept clarity, low self-efficiency, and conflict with significant-others. Secondly, difference of career-barrier, caused by the traits of the disabled, has influenced the lack of self clarity and occupational information. In addition, among the types of the disabilities, it is proven that the psychological disability highly correlated to the social support, unlikely to gender difference and job experience. Thirdly, the most influential reason on the decision-making confusion for finding job among the sub-variables of dysfunctional career-thought were; low self-concept clarity, conflict with significant-others, and low self-efficiency. While it turned out that the most influential career-barrier on the performance anxiety for disabled people were low self-efficiency and conflict with significant-others.
A Study on the Research Trends and Tasks in the Development of Program for Remarried Families

According to the increase of the remarried family, education programs are needed to help the adaptation of them. The purpose of this study is to analyze remarriage preparations and to present considerations for the development of remarriage educational program in the future. Through analysis of total nine existing remarriage programs, there are needs to consider the following factors when developing remarriage programs. There is a need to be developed and implemented various programs to adequately support the remarried family. Also need to have a system that help adaption. As a result of research, future remarried program shall be as follows. First, the educational content consists of differency depending on the type of remarriage. Second, we should develop program avoiding the problem-oriented perspective, focus on the enhancements remarried families and address the adaptive factors. Third, psychological support counseling programs should be included. Remarriage Preparation measurement Scale is utilized and children is included in programs.
Importance Analysis on the Quality of Hotel Social Network Service

This study is focused on analyzing the quality importance of hotel SNS(social network service). And by reviewing precedent papers and references regarding concept and quality factors about SNS in hotel industry, it drew proper criteria to select priorities and evaluate hotel SNS quality using AHP. The important factors based upon related theories are suggested in this paper such as information quality, system quality, service quality, interface quality and emotional quality. The survey for empirical study was executed with hotel employees and total 149 questionnaires were used for this study. We used AHP for statistical analysis, As the results, the most important factor is emotional quality factor and the next is interface quality factor.
Correspondence of Elementary School Students Anticipated Vocations, Perceived Competencies, and Interests

This study examined a correspondence of children`s anticipated vocations, perceived competencies, and interests. For the purpose, this study asked 659 primary school students what activities they liked, those they thought they were good at, and what job they expected when they grew up. The responses were coded into RIASEC Holland codes and agreement across the three questions was examined using kappa statistics. Results indicated that there was a correspondence of children`s anticipated vocations, perceived competencies, and interests. When broken down into separate examinations by gender, males and females had significant kappas for agreement between vocation and competence. And the correspondence of competence and interest was significant for males too. We couldn`t examine females` case because they didn`t answer C-type of Holland. Examinations of the results by grade demonstrated that 5th-grade and 6th-grade had significant kappas for agreement between vocation and competence. However the correspondence of vocation and interest was significant for 5th-grade. the correspondence of competence and interest was significant for 5th-grade too. We couldn`t examine 6th-grade`s case because they didn`t answer C-type of Holland. The result obtained from this study indicate that there is a correspondence of children`s anticipated vocations, perceived competencies, and interests. Such a result means that children, 5th-grade and 6th-grade, can consider their competencies and interests with their vocations. The findings are especially relevant for counselors and teachers working with children.
A Study for Identifying Language Impairment in Preschooler

A total of 193 children between three and six years of age were given tests by using the PRES, REVT, KOSECT, and APAC. A specificity between referred and non-referred cases was not high. In the current study, the sensitivity of formal tests was insufficient. But combining of parental report with formal language tests could provide good criteria for identifying language impairment. The CCC-2 may provide an effective means to identify language difficulties using a standardized approach.
Gait Analysis According to the changes of the carrying type and weight of bag

The purpose of this study was to analyze the changes in gait according to four style of bag`s carryied method and three different bag`s weights. Twenty healthy adults participated in four conditions. The first condition, they wearing a bag on one side shoulder and walked. The second condition, they carried a bag sling across on shoulder and walked. The third condition, they carried a bag on a back using both shoulders and walked. The fourth condition, they hold a bag in their right hand and walked. During all four conditions participants wore a SmartStep insole in their right shoe and had a pressure control device strapped to their right ankle. Each participant walked 10 meters carrying a 2.5 kg, 5 kg and 7.5 kg bag under all four conditions. There were significantly differents in stance phase rate; swing phase rate and walking speed according to bag weight of 2.5 kg, 5 kg, 7.5 kg.

This study aims at finding which change there is of oral health promotion as investigating the oral health status in quality, diagnosing which effects knowledge and attitude of oral health has before and after the oral health education as developing and conducting the oral health education program for international marriage migrant women to form their oral health belief for improving oral health. This study consisted of each 51 of the experimental group and the controlled group at the multi-cultural family support center from
of March, 2012 to
of June, 2012 as the subjects, and pre-to-post investigated knowledge of oral and cognition. Also as it took follow-up examination of the clients who visited to the dentist with changing of their cognition, conducted matched-pair sample t-test and analysis of repeated measure variance. As the result, there were always the changes at the field of knowledge about oral, periodontal disease and toothbrush in awareness of oral health, and at the field of periodontal disease, dental caries, toothbrush, fluorine and bad breath in knowledge of oral health. The change of DMFT index, DT index has been reduced and FT index has been increased. As the result above, the oral health education program for international marriage migrant women has led to change awareness of oral health and knowledge, and the change of knowledge has influenced to a behavior, so there were the changes of periodontal status and DMFT index as well. This has been showing the importance of the program for oral health of international marriage migrant women. Moreover, while the oral health education program is developed in various aspects by offering the information for developing the oral health education program in future, it needs to run parallel prevention with treatment.
Correlations between Sensory Processing Patterns and Pain Catastrophizing Levels in Well Older Adults

This study investigated the relationships between sensory processing patterns and pain catastrophizing levels in well older adults to provide basic information for rehabilitation intervention. The participants of this study were 216 older adults aged over 65. The Adolescent/Adults Sensory Profile(AASP) was used to measure sensory processing patterns and the Pain Catastrophizing Scale(PCS) was employed to evaluate psychological variables of the pain. Self perception of the pain was measured with the Numerical Rating Scale(NRS). Gender and age differences were analyzed with t-test and relationships among sensory processing patterns, pain catastrophizing and pain symptom levels were analyzed with Pearson product-moment coefficients of correlation. Women had higher `sensory sensitivity` and `sensory avoiding.` The group over 75 years old had higher `sensory avoiding,` `low registration` and `sensory seeking.` Women had higher pain catastrophizing and pain symptom levels. Negative correlations between `rumination` and `low registration` and `helplessness` and `sensory seeking` were found. Positive correlations were found between pain catastrophizing and pain symptom levels when they were `sensory sensitivity` and `sensory avoiding.` The results infer that sensory processing patterns are associated with psychological variables of the pain and there are differences based on gender and age. Further studies are warranted to support the results.

The aim of this study is to evaluate university canadian paddlers` iso-kinetic muscle function and provide training advices. Eight university paddlers with a 8.5 years career participated in this study. Inbody 720, biodex system III, biodex stabilizer system and THP 2 are used to investigate body component, muscle function(peak torque, average power and work fatigue), agility and dynamic balance. Iso-kinetic muscle function around shoulder, thorax and knee are measured. And then bilateral and unilateral muscle imbalance are calculated at each joint. Results of this study are as follows; University canadian paddlers` BMI average is 24.90
and percent body fat is 12.23%. Reaction time average was 324 msec and balance score at each leg are below 2.0. A3, A4, A5, A6, A8 are needed to train shoulder muscle strength and power. A1, A2, A7, A8 are needed to strengthen shoulder muscle endurance. A2, A5, A8 are needed to train thorax muscle strength and power. A1, A8 are needed to strengthen thorax muscle endurance. Most of paddlers` reciprocal muscle balance ratio on thorax and knee are out of normal range. A2, A3, A4, A8 are needed to train abdominal strength and A3, A5, A6, A7, A8 are needed to train hamstring strength.
Measuring of Anti-oxidant Activity and Skin Improvement Effect using Adenophora remotiflora leaf

The purpose of this study was to find out the potential of the Mosidae(Adenophora remtriflora) leaf, one of the natural ingredients, for the cosmetics by measuring their antioxidant functions and skin improving effects. The result of the phytonutrient of the Mosidae leaf test shows, that the heat extract of Mosidae leaf DPPH has 9% higher ability than Ethanol extract.(p<0.05), but significant a difference was not found between the hydroxyl Radical of Mosidae leaf heat extract (65.22%) and Ethanol extract(63.50%). Mosidae leaf heat extract(40.82mg/mL) has much lower polyphenol compound than Ethanol extract(47.90mg/mL)(p<0.05). A clinical test of Mosidae leaf powder pack was performed for a group of 16 middle aged women(age between 35-60) from October 20 to November 17, 2011. Control group was used on the right cheek, and test group was used on left cheek for comparison. The procedure was twice a week for 4 weeks to identify and grade level of moisture, roughness, pore size and spot. After 4 weeks of testing, there were significant improvements in moisture enhancement and spot(p<0.05), subtle change in roughness and the size of the pores. Therefore, we confirmed skin improvement effect of Mosidae leaf as new cosmetic material.
An analysis on the importance and performance of home help service through measuring service quality perceived by its users

This dissertation is based on the evaluation of service by the home help service users and suggested managing strategy through analyzing importance and performance. The subject is a person receiving the service from the three home long term institutions in S city, Gangwon province, and SPSS 12.0 is used to analyze data to conduct analysis of basic statistic, confidence level, and factors. The result came out that home help service`s importance showed 4.55 out of 5, performance 4.26 out of 5. The most improvement needed factor was `providing quick service` and `offer service at ease`. Also it seemed that the four categories in tangibles and four categories in reliability and assurance, one category in responsiveness and empathy needs to be improved. The three in reliability and assurance and five properties in responsiveness and empathy need to remain its strength. In conclusion, in order to better the home help service first the progress result in focus improvement area needs to be achieved.

With the propofol-induced accident such as adverse effects, abuse, death is becoming to the fore as a social issue, there is an increasingly loud call for self-examination about excessive propofol use. The purpose of this study was to identify the knowledge, attitudes and practices in health care professionals and awareness in the public toward propofol. Participants in this study were 359 health care professionals, and 682 publics who is going to undergo endoscopy. The collected data was analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe for knowledge, attitude, and practice toward propofol in health care professionals, Pearson Correlation for its correlation. and frequencies, %, mean for others. Scores of knowledge, attitudes, and practices were 7.16 (11), 3.26 (5), 3.95 (5) respectively. Nurses` attitudes toward propofol was much more higher than doctors`, doctors` practice toward propofol was higher than nurses`. There was a correlation among knowledge, attitudes, and practices toward propofol. 53.4% of the publics answered that never heard what is propofol. Considering these results, regular customized and standardized-education strategies for both groups need to be developed for the purpose of proper use and management of propofol.
Predictors of Wish to Undergo Cosmetic Surgery according to Experience of Cosmetic Surgery in Female College Students

This study was to investigate which predictors influenced the wish to undergo cosmetic surgery according to experience of cosmetic surgery in female college students. A cross-sectional descriptive design was used with self-report questionnaires, which were completed by 254 subjects. Data was analyzed with t-test and regression. There were statistically significant differences in acceptance and social motivation of cosmetic surgery and the wish to undergo cosmetic surgery in the future between the two groups. Body area satisfaction and acceptance of cosmetic surgery were significant predictors to the wish to undergo cosmetic surgery in the non-experienced group. The significant predictor of the wish to undergo cosmetic surgery for the experienced group was acceptance of cosmetic surgery. The findings from this study suggest that there is need to different approaches to discuss or council for wish to undergo cosmetic surgery according to individual cosmetic surgery experience.
The Effects of Yoga Exercise on Balance and Gait Velocity in Stroke Patient

The purpose of this study was to analyse the effects of yoga exercise on balance ability and gait velocity in stroke patients. Subjects were categorized in to a control group and yoga program group with 9 for each group. Yoga program was conducted for 60minute for 8weeks, three times a week. For the purposes, the study measured Stability Index(SI, postural sway) and Weight Distribution Index(WDI) using Tetrax, Functional Reach Test(FRT), Dynamic Gait index(DGI) and 10 meter walking test. At pre- and post-exercise after appling the yoga exercise, the data was analyzed. Yoga exercise group`s SI and WDI were decreased, FRT and DGI were increased in comparison with control group. But 10 meter walking test was no significance. It suggests that the yoga exercise could promote recovery from balance disorder after stroke.
Analysis of Utilization Characteristics, Health Behaviors and Health Management Level of Participants in Private Health Examination in a General Hospital

This study aims to analyze characteristics, health behaviors and health management level related to private health examination recipients in one general hospital. To achieve this, we analyzed 150,501 cases of private health examination data for 11 years from 2001 to 2011 for 20,696 participants in 2011 in a Dae-Jeon general hospital health examination center. The cluster analysis for classify private health examination group is used z-score standardization of K-means clustering method. The logistic regression analysis, decision tree and neural network analysis are used to periodic/non-periodic private health examination classification model. 1,000 people were selected as a customer management business group that has high probability to be non-periodic private health examination patients in new private health examination. According to results of this study, private health examination group was categorized by new, periodic and non-periodic group. New participants in private health examination were more 30~39 years old person than other age groups and more patients suspected of having renal disease. Periodic participants in private health examination were more male participants and more patients suspected of having hyperlipidemia. Non-periodic participants in private health examination were more smoking and sitting person and more patients suspected of having anemia and diabetes mellitus. As a result of decision tree, variables related to non-periodic participants in private health examination were sex, age, residence, exercise, anemia, hyperlipidemia, diabetes mellitus, obesity and liver disease. In particular, 71.4% of non-periodic participants were female, non-anemic, non-exercise, and suspicious obesity person. To operation of customized customer management business for private health examination will contribute to efficiency in health examination center.

This study was to examine usefulness of MoCA-K by comparing the correlation between LOTCA-G, MMSE-K and MoCA-K, regarding detecting elderly people`s mild cognitive function in local community. The experiments in which the three different evaluation methods were employed, of this study were conducted on 50 elderly people. While the score of MoCA-K and MMSE-K was

out of 104. Observing each result of the three cognitive function assessment tools towards general characteristics showed no significant differences in gender. However, they were at considerable variance with age and education level of the example group. As all the three results of the assessment methods showed high correlation, it is reasonable to believe that MoCA-K is an appropriate evaluation tool to assess the cognitive function of old people.
The study of diadochokinetic (DDK) rate and accuracy in typically developing children

This paper aimed to find out the differences of DDK performances of 37 normally developing children in the range of 4-6 years. DDK tasks included with the Consonant-Vowel(CV) syllables and with the Vowel-Vowel(VV) syllables. For DDK rate, all spoken AMR and SMR in one second were measured by Multi-Speech, and analyzed with Motor Speech Profile for DDK regularity. Error frequency and type in DDK performance were transcribed and auditorily judged by two professional speech pathologists. The findings in this study were follow as: First, DDK rate became faster as the age of children were increased. But there were no statistical differences between the groups for age. Second, there was no significant differences the CV and VV syllables of DDK tasks. Third, the frequency of articulatory error in DDK performance was significantly higher in the age of 4 than other two groups.
A analysis of Proper Workbench for Body Type of Dental Technician

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the height of workbench in dental lab for ergonomic body type which dental technicians are suitable and suggest to effective improvement of workspace. For this purpose, we measured the height, weight, body sizes of total 77 junior majoring in dental laboratory science where they study school located in Gyeonggi and Chungcheong area and we research uncomfortable body type when they had a clinical training. For comparative analysis we had visited 15 dental lab and 2 dental lab of general hospital and we had measured the height of workbench and desk including chair and then We had statistical analysis measured value. Especially we analyzed the important factor causing inconvenience for work environment. As a result, we had examined, we found following results The sand table was the most uncomfortable equipment, when they have clinical training. There is no correlation between sexual characteristics of junior in college and selection of uncomfortable equipment. It is reasonable to assume that sand table which is lower than recommended height brings out inconvenience. It is analyzed that the optimum height of sand table in dental lab for junior in college is lower than the recommended height. The optimum height of sand table in dental lab has deviation according to height of junior in college. The height of worktable in dental lab was lower than recommended height. The recommended range could not apply to posture of dental technician with different height uniformly.
The Effects of Spinal Decompression Combined with Therapeutic Modalities for Patients with Lumbar Radiculopathy

The purpose of the present study was to determine the effect of 4 weeks course of motorized spinal decompression delivered via SpineMT(mobilization & traction) combined with therapeutic modalities on the treatment of patients with lumbar radiculopathy(LRP). A total of 15 patients with LRP (mean age, 36.63 years; age range 20-50years) participated in this study. 4 weeks course of spinal decompression delivered via SpineMT combined with therapeutic modalities was delivered to the patients for 6 days per week for the first two weeks, and four times per week for two additional weeks. The entire treatment consisted of 20 visits over 4 week period. Comparisons of changes in the muscle strengthening (MS), straight leg raise (SLR), and Oswestry disability index (ODI) at pre-intervention, after 10 treatment sessions, and at discharge (after 20 treatment sessions) were analyzed. There were significant improvements in the outcome measures of MS test, SLR test, and ODI score after 10 and 20 sessions of spinal decompression treatment combined with therapeutic modalities as compared with the pre-intervention(p<0.05). Spinal decompression treatment combined with therapeutic modalities appears to be a safe and efficacious, noninvasive treatment modality for patients with LRP.
Arm Swing Asymmetry and Effect of Auditory Cues on Amplitude in the Patients with Parkinson`s Disease

A recent study reporting significantly reduced symmetry in arm swing amplitude in early Parkinson`s disease (PD), as measured during gait by auditory cues velocity, led to this investigation of arm swing symmetry and amplitude in PD. The subjects were 14 elderly patients diagnosed with PD. Patients were measured of three conditions performed in random order: slow, general, fast. The auditory cue velocity consisted of a metronome beat
than the subject`s general gait speed. Using a motion analysis measurement system, changes in kinematic variables were compared to arm swing analysis. PD groups showed a highly significant reduction of the arm swing amplitude on the more affected body side(MAS)(p<.05). Comparison between the auditory cues velocity, there was a significant increase arm swing amplitude in fast velocity gait than slow and general velocity gait(p<.05). We conclude that motion analysis during gait by auditory cues velocity allows reliable investigation of asymmetric arm movements in early PD patients which attenuate with ongoing disease. The measurement of limb kinematics during gait by auditory cues velocity can broaden our methodological line-up for the analysis of complex motor programs in movement disorders.
Development of HD Resolution Stereoscopic Camera and Apparatus for Recognizing Depth of Object

Two cameras which function like human eyes, are needed to make 3D stereoscopic image. That is, stereoscopic image is made via 3 dimensional image processing for combining two images from left and right camera. In this paper two high resolution zoom cameras are used to make HD resolution stereoscopic camera. And the algorithm which convert to stereoscopic image from HD resolution zoom camera image, is implemented using FPGA for real-time operation. The algorithm which measure the depth of object between left and right image is proposed.
A Study on Self-Diagnosis Function in RFID Reader

RFID reader platform with self-diagnosis function studied in this paper has an automatic state recognition function, a report function, and an automatic upgrade function. Also, since it uses frequency operation policy in multiple reader environments, it will be frequently used in the large operation environment and multi-readers environment. Therefore, the technology can meet the demands not only in the domestic RFID market, but in the global market.

This paper relates to the electric braking, the permanent magnet synchronous motor vector control is suspended until the applied, and propose a new scheme by the controller in the observer to estimate the position and velocity using the Resolver speed detector. In addition, as a way to control the speed by braking torque at low speed, the pole of a stop just before the stop electrical braking. This paper deals with the state of charge(SOC) and life cycle evaluation algorithm for lead-acid battery, which is essential factor of the electric vehicle(EV) and the stabilization of renewable energy in the smart grid. In order to perform the effective operation of the lead-acid battery, SOC and life cycle evaluation algorithm is required. Specific gravity with the change of electrolyte temperature inside battery case should be obtained to evaluate the SOC of lead-acid battery, however it is difficult to measure the electrolyte temperature of sealed type lead-acid battery. To overcome this problem, this paper proposes the equation of thermal transmission to compensate internal temperature of the lead-acid battery. Also, it is difficult to exactly evaluate the life cycle of battery, depending on the operation conditions of lead-acid battery such as charging and discharging state, self discharging rate and environmental issue. Design of Fuzzy Neural Networks Based on Fuzzy Clustering and Its Application

In this paper, we propose the fuzzy neural networks based on fuzzy c-means clustering algorithm. Typically, the generation of fuzzy rules have the problem that the number of fuzzy rules exponentially increases when the dimension increases. To solve this problem, the fuzzy rules of the proposed networks are generated by partitioning the input space in the scatter form using FCM clustering algorithm. The premise parameters of the fuzzy rules are determined by membership matrix by means of FCM clustering algorithm. The consequence part of the rules is expressed in the form of polynomial functions and the learning of fuzzy neural networks is realized by adjusting connections of the neurons, and it follows a back-propagation algorithm. The proposed networks are evaluated through the application to nonlinear process.
Performance Evaluation and Economic Analysis for the Road Visibility Measurement System using the CCTV Camera

A key element of the fog warning system to prevent large traffic accidents is a visibility measurement device. Recently, the need for it that is similar to the human visual sense and cheap and accurate than expensive fog sensors is increasing. In this paper, we present the performance evaluation and the economic analysis of the Road Visibility Measurement System (RVMS), which is developed for measuring the road visibility through a CCTV camera. For experiments, we have installed a CCTV camera, a fog sensor, and visibility signs at the Yeo-ju Test Road on the Central Inland Expressway. We evaluated the measurements from RVMS and the fog sensor based on observations. The result shows RVMS outperforms the fog sensor with respect to measurement stability and correctness. We also show RVMS has higher economic feasibility and various applications. RVMS can prevent the traffic accidents caused by severe fog and enhance the process of the wide-area visibility information system significantly.

Most traditional databases exploit record-oriented storage model where the attributes of a record are placed contiguously in hard disk to achieve high performance writes. However, for search-mostly datawarehouse systems, column-oriented storage has become a proper model because of its superior read performance. Today, flash memory is largely recognized as the preferred storage media for high-speed database systems. In this paper, we introduce fast column-oriented database model and then propose a new column-aware index management scheme for the high-speed column-oriented datawarehouse system. -Tree achieves high search performance by embedded flash index and unused space compression in internal and leaf nodes. Based on the results of the performance evaluation, we conclude that our index management scheme outperforms the traditional scheme in the respect of the search throughput and response time.
Motion Estimation in Video Coding using Search Candidate Point on Region by Binary-Tree Structure

In this paper, we propose a new fast block matching algorithm for block matching using the temporal and spatially correlation of the video sequence and local statistics of neighboring motion vectors. Since the temporal correlation of the video sequence between the motion vector of current block and the motion vector of previous block. The proposed algorithm determines the location of a better starting point for the search of an exact motion vector using the point of the smallest SAD(sum of absolute difference) value by the predicted motion vectors of neighboring blocks around the same block of the previous frame and the current frame and the predictor candidate point on each division region by binary-tree structure. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has the capability to dramatically reduce the search points and computing cost for motion estimation, comparing to fast FS(full search) motion estimation and other fast motion estimation.
Moment Resisting Behaviors of Railway Electric Pole Foundation According to Form Work Methods

The moment responses of electric pole foundations for a railroad were investigated using real-scale load tests. Large overturning moments were applied to two square rigid piles with a 1.1 m width and a 2.2 m embedded depth. Two different installation methods-with and without a form-were applied to evaluate the influence of the form work on the moment capacities of the foundations. The reduction of ground strength caused by the excavation without a form is more pronounce than the decrease of frictional strength due to the smooth concrete surface with a form. From the test results, it is found that the current design method which applies a proportional coefficient to consider the effect of a form work is not appropriate. When the normal and frictional stressed is considered separately, the effect of a form work can be estimated reasonably by reducing the friction angle between soil and foundation by 20%.

It was found that favorite scent of A and B type is same as Jasmine scent, but A type was more sensitive than B type about scent. Therefore Jasmine scent is very effective to increase amenity, productivity and concentration, and to decrease stress and fatigue degree.

Minimal architecture is generally expressed in a simple and pure form, this characteristic of minimal architecture was first introduced by the architect, Mies Van der Roche, in the beginning of 20th century. The objective of this study is to identify wether minimal architecture is just a reappearance of the beginning of 20th century`s modern architecture or a suitable form for contemporary aesthetics. As a result, it can be concluded that minimal architecture is based on human emotion and one`s experienced perception which is very different from the modern architecture which is more focused on functionality and mechanical esthetics. Minimal architecture uses two systems which are multi-sensual perception and conceptual perception; however, it focuses more on conceptual perception which is also used in comtemporary architecture. In conclusion, simplicity is just one of the necessary conditions which is not sufficient enough to represent minimal architecture.
Dynamic response of nano-scale plates based on nonlocal elasticity theory

This article presents the dynamic response of nano-scale plates using the nonlocal continuum theory and higher-order shear deformation theory. The nonlocal elasticity of Eringen has ability to capture the small scale effects and the higher-order shear deformation theory has ability to capture the quadratic variation of shear strain and consequently shear stress through the plate thickness. The solutions of transient dynamic analysis of nano-scale plate are presented using these theories to illustrate the effect of nonlocal theory on dynamic response of the nano-scale plates. The relations between nonlocal and local theories are discussed by numerical results. Also, the effects of nonlocal parameters, aspect ratio, side-to-thickness ratio, size of nano-scale plate and time step on dynamic response are investigated and discussed. The amplitude and cycle increase when nonlocal parameter increase. In order to validate the present solutions, the reference solutions are used and discussed. The theoretical development as well as numerical solutions presented herein should serve as reference for nonlocal theories as applied to the transient dynamic analysis of nano-scale structures.
The Consideration of the Necessity of Seismic Retrofitting for Existing High Speed Rail Bridge in Accordance with Design Guidelines Improvements

This paper was calculated the earthquake load using ELFP(Equivalent Lateral Force Procedure) and RSA(Response Spectrum Analysis) for PSC Box Girder representative bridges by the Phase of KTX designed by ELFP and verified the difference of these analyses. It have been modeled 3 dimensional FE model of 5 bridges using a commercial FEM program for the comparison of these analyses using a commercial FEM program and were compared the earthquake load. It has been to confirm the increase of the difference ELFP of RSA calculated to seismic ground acceleration according to the ground condition and natural period. It is mean that the necessity of seismic reinforcement due to the application of a larger of earthquake load than designed earthquake load form the seismic performance evaluation result according to the difference of calculated earthquake loads.
A Study on the Improvements of Interior Space regarding the Characteristics of Architectural Design Studio

Upon changing architectural education system into 5-year program, the design studio in university should meet the requirement in order to acquire the accredition. This study investigates on student` perceptions and responses, according to the configuration(open, mixed, closed), to their studio environment. Results and suggestions are as follows for all types: First, there should be space for individual activities for the student: Second, excluding space for excluding space for the individual work, seperated area must be provided for co-operative work, such as making models; Third, a clear territorial distintion between the individual and the co-work space should be able to set by the students, using. for instance, movable partition or corridor; Fourth, however, in line with the types, a seperated lecture or seminar room in the open type, a device to prevent distraction such as noise in the mixed type, and more space for co-work in the closed type are also suggested.
Characteristics for the Distribution of Elderly Population by Utilizing the Census Data

After city of Busan has been entered to the aging society in 2000, the city has the highest aging rate among 7 representative cities in 2011. Moreover, while entire population and number of average household are decreasing, over 65 years old of elderly population is rapidly increasing. So, it is possible to enter the super-aged society, where aging rate would be about 20% after 2020. The purpose of this study is that older housing-related analysis is consisted of dong-unit, and this led microscopic analysis has become necessary. Surveys from 2000 through 2010, census aggregate (output area) unit of spatial analysis was conducted. Take advantages of this, aging population and area, soaring area, high-density areas, such as the region of interest were primary extracted, and microscopic location and spatial distribution patterns were analyzed. Upon analysis, aging population is concentrated in the city and adjacent area, the highlands, and 10 years of increasing rate was more than 30 times in certain aggregate. Regarding the characteristic of these areas, the original city center, Busan, especially concentrated and intensified in aging population. Also, 2000 to 2010, the overall distribution pattern of Busan has identified aging population that is increasingly being distributed. This is the result, which is confronted with previous research result. Entering a super aged-society for the future is accordance with migration of social costs and improve the quality of life of elderly. And this could be the basic information to use the spatial dimension for the corresponding.
A Water Surface Detection Method by Correlation Analysis of Watermark Images with Time Interval

The aim of this study is to suggest a detection method of water surface location and its evaluation results of application for same vertical position in two successive images with time interval including both staff gauge and water surface. A specific rectangular inspection area is defined from the top of watermark and then the correlation coefficients for the inspection area of the same position of two images with short time interval is calculated. Accordingly, it is possible to identify differences between changing area and fixed area of pixel density by the water flow. The photographs taken in the laboratory were analyzed in order to validate the proposed technique. As the result of the experiment, it is identified that characteristic of correlation coefficients depends on the size of the inspection area. In the case that the inspection area is within the entire width of the watermark, water surface characteristic according to correlation coefficients is clearly noticeable. Thus, it is identified that the proposed technique can be utilized to search water surfaces. Besides, using corelation analysis of two images with time interval, it is identified that error range between 10 and 42cm was reduced in the level of 2.6cm or less in the contaminated photo of existing image stage gauge. Therefore, it is expected that the suggested method can be utilized to enhance image stage gauge performance improving the previous water surface detection method.

Recently, the risk of safety accidents in the coastal zone has been increased due to revitalization of marine leisure and tourism. Because of a lack of regulations about technical and maintenance aspect for safety facilities, the effective measures to prevent safety accidents in the coastal zone have not taken with increasing rate of the accidents. The nature of land/sea and behavioral characteristics of a fisherman/port laborer/tourist/people at leisure should be taken into account properly when safety facilities to prevent safety accidents in the coastal zone are installed, since the characteristics of land/sea and many activities such as fishery, harbor works, tour, leisure are mixed in the geographic and environmental condition of the coastal zone. This study analyzes the current problems on the safety facility in the domestic coastal zone through the domestic and foreign(Hongkong, Macau) field survey. Also the direction of the improvement about the safety facility are proposed.

The production of synthetic polymer compounds and ethanolamine (ETA, a pH control agent used in nuclear power plants) generates effluent that pollutes water. This study focused on the development of chemicals for the treatment of effluent and processes to reduce the COD level due to the presence of organic materials via physicochemical treatment. It was found that a mixed coagulant of
(1:1) was the most effective in treating effluent and reducing the COD level. When the mixed coagulant was injected into effluent including organic materials, the COD level was reduced by more than 80%.

Distribution of potential risky species on phytoplankton at ports in Korea

This study aimed to understand relationship between potential risky species and environmental factors at ports in Korea. During the study periods, 25 potential risky species (red tide and toxic species) representing 20 red-tide species, 5 toxic species were observed in the all ports. Skeletonema costatum (red-tide species) was predominated in all study area. This species showed positive correlation with pH, while negative correlation with dissolved oxygen (p<0.05) at Busan port. Also, this species showed positive correlation with total suspended solids and pH (p<0.05) at Ulsan port. However, Sk. costatum showed positive correlation with nitrate at Incheon port (p<0.01). Pseudo-nitzschia spp. producing amnesic shellfish poison (domoic acid) showed positive correlation with nitrate and silicate in all study areas (p<0.05). Alexandrium spp. (paralytic shellfish poison) and Dinophysis acuminata (diarrhetic shellfish poison) were affected by chemical oxygen demand (p<0.01). Our results indicated that red-tide species were affected by physical factors, while chemical factors affected toxic species.
