Atmospheric corrosion rate and corrosivity categories of industrial metals in Asan area

The atmospheric corrosion rate were measured in Asan area for four years according to ISO 9224. The tested metals chosen as the most frequently used in industry, aluminum were copper, carbon steel, weathgering steel, and galvanized steel. The assessed corrosivity categories was 3 in average. The corrosivity categories of asan area was higher than typical rural area and even urban area, whereas it slightly lower than marine area. The results were discussed, specially as the regional climatic characteristics.
A Fundamentals Study on Heat Exchanger using Deep Ocean Water: Effects of Material on Heat Transfer Performance

This paper presents the effects of the tube materials on the heat transfer performance of double-tube heat exchangers for the development of heat exchangers using deep sea water. Heat exchangers made of titanium, aluminum. stainless steel, iron, copper, and aluminum with carbon black 0.015mm and 0.15mm coating were tested. Also, the heat transfer rate of each heat exchanger was calculated by using EES program. The calculated values were compared with the experimental ones, and the deviations were less than 10%. From the above experiment and analysis, aluminum with carbon black 15 coating can be considered the most promising candidate for the replacement of titanium heat exchanger.

Engine mounting system is the most responsible system for NVH performance of vehicle. The vibration at idle shake, road shake, Key ON/OFF, gear shift tuned by the engine mount position and stiffness. Previously described Engine mounting system theory investigated and summarized in this paper. Decoupling of the Power train rigid mode and Reducing the angle between Torque-Roll-Axis and Elastic-roll-Axis is starting point of optimization. Multi-optimization analysis was performed because of variety simulation case and FE-model. Eventually, Find the best mount location and the stiffness has improved the performance of the vehicle NVH.
Characteristic Evaluation of SCR catalyst using Aluminum dross

Aluminum dross is formation at the surface of the molten metal as the latter reacts with the furnace atmosphere and it was an unavoidable by-product of the aluminum production process. However aluminum dross was usually landfilled or disposed without treatment, causing much environmental damage. The purpose of this study is to investigate the possibility of ceramic catalyst support using recycled Al dross. The recycled Al dross was made into SCR catalyst by mixing with
SCR catalyst was observed with XRF, XRD and BET.
SCR strength was measured by Universal Testing Machine(UTM). As the added
, streagth is increased. And the NOx removal activity was observed by MR(Micro-Reactor). The temperatures ranging from
SCR catalyst De-NOx performance result of showed excellent activity over 90% at application condition.
Investigation of Electric Vehicle Performance Affected by Cabin Heating

Compared with internal combustion engine, the electric vehicle has a limitation of low driving range due to low battery capacity due to relatively low energy density. Moreover, the energy consumption rapidly increases up to 30% during winter season with operating electric heater. In this study, electric vehicle performance was evaluated using heat pump having higher energy efficiency rather than electric heater for cabin heating. Electric vehicle system and heat pump system were developed using 1-D simulation software called AMESim, the simulation result indicated that the energy consumption could be reduced approximately 66% when the electric heating system was replaced with the heat pump system. As a result, the driving range is expected to increase the similar value. This study proved the merit of heat pump for cabin heating in electric vehicle, and it could contribute to developing suitable heating method for electric vehicles.
Shape Optimal Design to Minimize the Weight of a Mask-Frame for OLED Vapor Deposition

Present work deals with a shape optimal design to minimize the weight of the mask-frame used in the process of OLED vapor deposition by the fine metal mask. A design concept for an optimal shape of the frame to increase the stiffness and to reduce the weight is derived using the topology optimization, shape design variables of the frame by adopting slots being defined. An optimal shape is determined by solving the shape optimization problem to minimize the weight of the frame under constraints of the maximum displacement. Weight of the optimal design is 117.6 kg, which is reduced by 138.4 kg(54.1%) of that of the first design, 256 kg.
Structural Analysis of High Pressure Cleaning Machine

In this paper, a high pressure cleaning machine in field was disassembled and measured in order to develop a highly improved pressure cleaner in performance and real configuration was modeled by using 3-D design program CATA V5. In addition, fluid analysis was conducted on the modeled high pressure cleaning machine by using ANSYS finite element analysis program and visualize the pressure changes of internal fluid flow was visualized. This result will be applied to a new designed high pressure cleaning machine in future.
Usability Study of Different Types of Smart Phones Using KLM Model

The purpose of this study is to investigate the usability and user interface in different types of smart phones. KLM(key-stroke-level model) model estimation and observation values were calculated to perform 12 functional factors in 3 different groups. In results, it was found that the usability of smart phones are similar in basic and general functions. On the contrary, the usability of smart phones are different in more complex functions. Current results can be used to anticipate the future effort to improve user interface design in smart phone.
In-Plane Buckling Analysis of Asymmetric Curved Beam Using DQM

One of the efficient procedures for the solution of partial differential equations is the method of differential quadrature. This method has been applied to a large number of cases to circumvent the difficulties of programming complex algorithms for the computer, as well as excessive use of storage due to conditions of complex geometry and loading. Under in-plane uniform distributed load, the buckling of asymmetric curved beam with varying cross section is analyzed by using differential quadrature method (DQM). Critical load due to diverse cross section variation and opening angle is calculated. Analysis result of DQM is compared with the result of exact analytic solution. As DQM is used with small grid points, exact analysis result is shown. New result according to diverse cross section variation is also suggested.
A Study on Improvement of 100 Tons Toggle Injection Molding Machine`s Weight Using Numerical Analysis

Nowadays, three-dimensional computer added design(3D CAD) tool are widely and actively used for design of mechanical machine. Because using the tool is more effective to understand design concept and to collaborate with other operation than using two-dimensional design tool. In this study, the 3D CAD tool which is called I-DEAS was applied for three-dimensional modeling of main parts and assembling of modeled parts for identification the entire shape of a injection molding machine. In addition, a study was also performed regarding reduction for the weight of main plates for saving production cost and energy in the machine. A finite element method(FEM) program in I-DEAS tool was used for the improvement study. First, the current main plates were structural analysed and then the plate deformations, weak regions and stress distributions were graped. By the FEM results, the 2nd improved designing of the plates was conducted such as reinforcement or slimming of the plate wall thickness. The 2nd structural FEM was performed for verification of the redesigned plates and then the FEM results were compared with the 1st FEM`s result. The weight of the main plates were averagely reduced approximately 3 - 7%. By these results, it was seemed that the improved plates have a useful availability.

In this paper, we propose that a model based design for an electric motor cycle system using Automotive Simulation Models. Before prototyping a realistic electric motorcycle, a reliable simulation program is required to test the capacities of the power sources and optimize the parameters of an electric motorcycle. In the past, The research of electric motorcycle was conducted at macro rather than micro level. However, this research suggests the detailed analysis method of specific key components. This paper can get a good error ratio, 2.3%, as a consequence of the interpretation of experiment and simulation. With the analysis of specific electric motorcycle, it is able to analyze design factor and improve accuracy of electric motorcycle interpretation. Also, this research suggests the effective way to get fail safety so that it can solve the fail which can be encountered in electric motorcycle.
A Study on Hull Form Development of Polyethylene Boat

The Domestic boat has been manufactured by hull form of typical foreign boat. In this study, design environment for polyethylene boat is analysed to create new hull form of the boat and design elements are extracted from existing boats and consumer preferences. Key elements in polyethylene boat design are three words "semi-classic, urban and sporty". Hull resistance and engine power for new developed boat can be expected by Orca 3D program. This result indicates that engine power of the boat is much less than that of commercial boat.
Analysis of Dynamic Equilibrium Configuration of Speed Governor

This paper proposes a method to obtain the dynamic equilibrium configuration of a constrained mechanical system by using multibody dynamic analysis. Dynamic equilibrium equations with independent coordinates are derived from the time-dependent constraint equations and dynamic equations of a multibody system. The Newton-Raphson method is used to find numerical solutions for nonlinear algebraic equations that are composed of the dynamic equilibrium and constraint equations. The proposed method is applied to obtain the dynamic equilibrium configuration of a speed governor, and the results are verified on the basis of the results from conventional dynamic analysis. Furthermore, vertical displacements at equilibrium configuration, which varied with the rotational velocity of the speed governor, are calculated, and design parameter analysis of the equilibrium configuration is presented.
Thrust Performance Improvement through Position Signal Compensation and Estimation in Super Speed Maglev

In position detection for super speed maglev propulsion control, the influence of position signal delay and transmit cycle on propulsion power degradation is investigated analytically and validated by test bed experiments. As a solution to the problem caused by signal transmit, position signal compensation and estimation method is proposed and applied to the test bed. Through experiments, it is confirmed that by adapting the proposed method, the propulsion power is increased remarkably, which results in acceleration and velocity performance improvement. This method could be effectively applied to position detection system of Korean super speed maglev which is under development.

Physical characteristics of a magneto-rheological(MR) fluid can be influenced by a magnetic field. MR fluid is a suspension of micrometer-sized magnetic particles in a base liquid such as oil. Therefore, the key issue is dispersion stability because density of micrometer-sized magnetic particles are different from that of oil. In the present study, dispersion stability and physical characteristics along chemical compositions of MR fluid are investigated. 216 kinds of MR fluids are made by using magnetic powder(#2), surfactant(#2), base oil(#2), functional additive(#3), density(#3) and viscosity(#3). From experimental results, SEM photograph, magnetic flux density, supernatant and sediment of 216 kinds of MR fluids are obtained.
Study on Close Microphone Techniques for Korean Traditional Musical Instruments (Gayageum, Haegeum, Daegeum, and Kkwaenggwari)

This study recorded the sound of Korean traditional musical instruments by considering the radiation characteristics of traditional Korean musical instruments and setting the diverse mounting angle and distance of microphone. By following recorded results, the study analyzes the optimum position of microphone and the characteristic of timbre through frequency range spectrum and repeated listening. This experiment of study is for technique of close microphone which is used in popular music, therefore it is recorded in the popular music recording studio. The study also suggests the optimum position for the microphone to record, and explains the difference of timbre at different position. The result of study will suggest the best technique of Close Microphone Techniques for Korean Traditional Musical Instruments not only to accurately express the beautiful and unique sound of traditional Korean musical instruments but also to obtain diverse timbre.
The impacts of theme, genre, and existence of originals on the number of visitors of children performance: Focusing on the interaction effect of school periods

This paper investigated the impacts of theme, genre, and existence of originals on the number of visitors of children performance. Especially, we focused on the interaction effect of school periods with these variables. Using 954 performance data between 2010-2011 at Fantasia Theater run by Bucheon Culture Foundation, we found that entertaining performance, musical performance, and performance with existing originals had more visitors than others. Also, these impacts strongly existed during school periods. In result, this study found that school period should be considered seriously for the success of children performance.

The Internet has had a significant impact on the operations of record companies and has transformed the role of music consumers. Active music consumers are regarded as not just consumers but also co-creators and innovators who create value; therefore, firms need to create environments in which they can learn from consumers. Prior studies exist on the effects of the Internet on the music business, including its structure and culture. However, these studies did not focus on exploring how the relationship between record labels and consumers changed, how networked music consumers influence value creation and how record labels are responding, and the difficulties from using and the drawbacks of interactive media and new business models in the music market. This study investigates these issues through interviews.
The Impact of Offshoring on Korean Firms` Productivity

As with fast growing globalization, Korean firms have increased their offshoring activities and more empirical research are needed to analyze the effect of offshoring on Korean firms` productivity. This study used "Survey of Business Activities", a firm-level panel data set surveyed by the Statistics Korea between 2006 and 2008, and estimated pooled OLS and Panel fixed effect model to examine the impact of offshoring on a firm`s labor productivity. Unlike the previous studies on offshoring, we included in the analyses the firms in the service industry in addition to those in the manufacturing industry, and presented the comparative results. The results from pooled OLS model show that 1% increase in the share of offshoring output will lead to 0.03% increase in labor productivity. However, the results from Panel model show that the effects of offshoring on productivity is positive but statistically insignificant. Analyzing the manufacturing and the service sector separately, the main results based on Panel model can be summarized as follows: Offshoring has significant positive effects on firms` productivity in the manufacturing industry. Contrastingly, the impact of offshoring on firms` productivity in the service industry is estimated to be negative but statistically insignificant. Other than the share of offshoring output, most factors except headquarter location have positive effects on firms` productivity in both manufacturing and service industry.

This study focused on "tolerlance" to provide direction for the development as a city of culture and art in Jeju. In the field of culture and art, the survey was conducted to measure the acceptance degree of the diversity of in Jeju residents. Analysis of Jeju residents, the degree of tolerance for acceptance has been confirmed that there is a difference of degree, depending on whether the gender (sex) and age, education, and cultural activities. As a result, analysis of the acceptance degree of the tolerlance of Jeju residents, it has been confirmed that there are some difference of more or less according to the difference in gender (sex), age, education level, and the degree of cultural activities. To emphasize the social benefits of culture and arts have the potential to improve social exclusion. Therefore, there will be a space for anyone to recognize and respect the diversity of individuals and social integration. Composition of the city of culture and art with a focus on the social value of generosity and, if you promote regional development, the residents quality of life will improve.

A Study on the Psychical Symptoms and Psychological State Before & After Attending the Programs for the Elderly

The purpose of this study is to analyse the satisfaction level and psychological status of senior students of "Silver College," or seniors` college. For the analysis, questionnaire survey was conducted to senior students of Silver Colleges of B and K University in Busan from May 1 through 31, 2013. The analysis methods used are SPSS Win 18.0 program on analysis of frequency, one-way analysis of variance, a correlation analysis, simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis, with analysis of actual proof for 5% significance level. The result of analysis indicates that the senior students` satisfaction level rose and serious physical symptoms improved after taking silver college programs from before. This study is significant in that it provides theoretical grounds for increasing the number of silver colleges with professional and socially-renowned professors as faculty, and developing further programs and policies for the solution of aggravating physical and mental problems more and more senior people are faced with in this fast aging society.
A Forecasting on the Market Size of Korean Solar Salt

This paper contains material of the supply-demand forecasting of solar salt for food in Korea. The solar salt was granted admission for food by the act of salt management in 2007. So, the yearly statistics of solar salt for food are not enough to forecast the supply-demand unsing econometrics. However, the related industry become interested in market size of the solar salt for food and the growth potential of the market. This study deal with the supply-demand forecasting of solar salt for food in light of industry of solar salt, consumption trends, export-import quantity, etc. This research results indicate that the production quantity will be 222-384 thousand MT, the export quantity will be 498-565 thousand MT, the export quantity will be 2.67-3.62 thousand MT, the consumption quantity will be 767-996 thousand MT.
The Effects of Parents` Energy Conservation Awareness and Behaviors on Young Children`s Environment-Friendly Attitudes and Environmental Preservation Knowledge

The purpose of this study was to figure out the effects of parents` energy conservation awareness and behaviors on young children`s environment-friendly attitudes and environmental preservation knowledge. To achieve this, a survey was carried out to 160 kindergarten children and their parents in the farming and fishing communities located in N city, Chungnam through June 10 to June 30, 2013. The results of the analysis were as follows. First, the effect of parents` energy conservation awareness on young children`s environment-friendly attitudes showed that parents` environmental preservation awareness and energy conservation awareness had an effect on young children`s environment-friendly attitudes. Second, the effect of parents` energy conservation behaviors on young children`s environment-friendly attitudes showed that parents` general behaviors and selective behaviors had an effect on young children`s environment-friendly attitudes. Third, the effect of parents` energy conservation awareness on young children`s environmental preservation knowledge showed that parents` environmental preservation knowledge and energy conservation awareness had an effect on young children`s environmental preservation knowledge. Fourth, the effect of parents` energy conservation behaviors on young children`s environmental preservation knowledge showed that parents` general behaviors and selective behaviors had an effect on young children`s environmental preservation knowledge. As for findings stated above, parents` energy conservation awareness and behaviors had a positive effect on children`s environment-friendly attitudes and environmental preservation knowledge. This implies that parents` right energy conservation awareness and behaviors are important to enhance children`s positive environment-friendly attitudes and environmental preservation knowledge.
Estimation of Consumers Valuation by Attributes of Green Jujube Chip

This research was launched as an attempt to help create a new value-added product called "Green Jujube Chip." To accomplish the objectives, consumers value by attributes of Green Jujube Chip should be estimated. We used Choice Experiment for analysis, which we used to arrive at pricing of specialty jujube chips based on the conditional logit model. As a result, MWTP were estimated at 1333 Won/unit for Mid-size Company Product, 1752 Won/unit for Large Company Product, 1703 Won/unit for University Affiliation, 350 Won/unit for packing unit, 548 Won/unit for rating the raw fruit, 1,322 Won/unit for HACCP, and 1,166 Won/unit for ISO22000. The consumer`s WTP for Green Juju Chip, associated with the university-brand recognition, was higher than a product produced by a mid-sized company but lower than a product by a large company. Given how the consumers regard the university-brand product as a specialty item, it is necessary to create value-added products that meet such high expectation. The Moderating Effect of Marital Satisfaction on the Relation between Wife`s Depression/Hwa-Byung and Husband`s Depression/Hwa-Byung

The purpose of the present study was to examine a) whether wife`s depression and Hwa-Byung (HB) would predict husband`s depression and HB and b) whether husband`s marital satisfaction would moderate the relationship between wife`s and husband`s depression and HB. Results showed that wife`s depression was significantly associated with husband`s depression, and wife`s HB was significantly associated with husband`s HB. However, wife`s depression was not a significant predictor of husband`s HB, whereas wife`s HB was not a significant predictor of husband`s depression. This particular finding might reflect that depression and HB are related, yet distinct disorders. Lastly, husband`s marital satisfaction was found to buffer the negative effect of wife`s HB on husband`s HB.

Effects of Infants` Free Play in Forests on the Development of Their Sociality

The purpose of this research is to examine the effects of infants` free play in forests on the development of their sociality. The 24 infants of a kindergarten in Jeju city, who is four years old, participated in the research. Participants freely played in forests for two hours at each time according to their own interests and demands, and this play performed twice every week for total 12 weeks. The results are as followed. Firstly, the free play activities in forests improved the infants` sociality. Secondly, the activities improved every sub-factors of the sociality such as cooperativeness, the acceptance of view, the free will, and the interaction. The results indicate that forests provide rich natural objects for infants to create various and new play by themselves. In addition, the free play activities in forests could build good inter-personal relationship through active interaction among the infants and lead positive impact on the development of their sociality.

This study is to examine that there are differences in Holland personality types and talent of elementary school students depending on cerebral hemisphere and their relationship. The study is targeted 679 elementary school students. To examined the hypothesis, frequency analysis, t-test, correlation analysis, using SPSS 18.0 were conducted. First, The elementary school students, artistic and enterprising types appeared more evident in the right-brain than left-brain. Second, there are positively conspicuous differences between RIC group and SAE group in left-brain. Third, in comparison with cerebral hemisphere and talent of elementary school students, creative, nature, communicative and body appeared more evident in the right-brain. Fourth, there are positive relationships in Holland personality types, cerebral hemisphere, and talent. However, there is no relationship between left-brain and artistic type, right-brain and social type.

Nowadays numbers of non-residential Korean traditional house (Han-ok) like Caf
and restaurants within the cultural property preservation area. So the purpose of this study is suggesting the necessity of governmental support about non-residential Han-ok. The research started to analyze influential factors toward them and estimate the value of non-residential Han-ok. After then it investigated what kind of value factors are important when it is agreed to the necessity of governmental support using logistic regression. According to the result, there are main 7 factors; possibilities to use Han-ok with poor residential environment, the unique appearance of Han-ok, possibilities to offer social and welfare service within local community, value to develop tourism on Han-ok, utilization of commercial area, historical deficiency and easy to access Han-ok for tourists and overseas which are an effect on decision making to sustain non-residential Han-ok.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the external educational environments that small business persons had faced as well as the internal competences of Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA), and provide with the directions establishing the small business college. To do so, the study employed PEST analysis and 7S model. As the results of this study, it was quite suggestive that standardization of curriculum and educational facility, qualifications of professional teacher, and rating system and specialization of the college should be considered in order to establish the effective small business college.

In order for a machine, especially used in the defense industry, to consistently operate during its life-time, lots of study has been done in machine design as well as machine maintenance. However, the realistic study is necessary in management and operation of a military support facility, where spare parts are stored and retrieved. In this paper, efficient arrangement of spare parts are proposed to acquire increased in efficiency and decreased in cost for operation management of the military support facility. First, spare parts is assorted by MTBF(Mean Time Between Failure) and divided in to three groups A/B/C as an alternative arrangement. Each defined alternatives will go under simulations and RULA(Rapid Upper Limb Assessment), which is posture classification scheme evaluation attributes, to find working time and posture difficulty and lastly by entropy measurement to be selected. This research proposes the efficient spare parts arrangement in military support facility to minimize working time and posture difficulty. By taking system and human engineering approach together into consideration, it will lead to show a specific value.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of early childhood teachers` emotional regulation style and teacher efficacy to their burnout. The data was collected by questionnaires method from 157 early childhood teachers in Gyeongsangbuk-do and Ulsan city. The instruments were Scale for Emotional Regulation Styles, Teachers` Sense of Efficacy, and Early Childhood Teachers Burnout Scale. The results of the study were as follows: Early childhood teachers` emotional regulation style and teacher efficacy meaningfully influenced to their burn out. This means early childhood teachers who had higher avoidant/distract regulation style showed higher their burnout and who had higher personal teacher efficacy showed lower their burnout. This research offers further study the influence variables to burnout and find out the effective method of emotional regulation and to enhance teacher efficacy.

This study aims to design a Severity-Adjusted LOS(Length of Stay) Model in order to efficiently manage LOS of AMI(Acute Myocardial Infarction) patients. We designed a Severity-Adjusted LOS Model with using data-mining methods(multiple regression analysis, decision trees, and neural network) which covered 6,074 AMI patients who showed the diagnosis of I21 from 2004-2009 Korean National Hospital Discharge in-depth Injury Survey. A decision tree model was chosen for the final model that produced superior results. This study discovered that the execution of CABG, status at discharge(alive or dead), comorbidity index, etc. were major factors affecting a Sevirity-Adjustment of LOS of AMI patients. The difference between real LOS and adjusted LOS resulted from hospital location and bed size. The efficient management of LOS of AMI patients requires that we need to perform various activities after identifying differentiating factors. These factors can be specified by applying each hospital`s data into this newly designed Severity-Adjusted LOS Model.
Impact of Stress on Physical and Temporomandibular Joint Symptoms in Health-Related Majoring students

The purpose of this study was to examine the stress of health-related majoring students on their physical and temporomandibular joint symptoms. The subjects were 283 college students in Chungcheongnam-do province from September 1 to November 30, 2012. The data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0(SPSS 18.0 K for window, SPSS Inc, USA) with the level of significance as 0.05. The findings of the study were as follows: There were significant differences among the university students in stress according to age, academic year, smoking and snack intake. Significant differences were found in digestive symptoms according to gender, academic year, drinking and snack intake, and there were significant differences in temporomandibular joint symptoms. Stress had a significant correlation to physical symptoms and temporomandibular joint symptoms. As for the influence of stress on physical symptoms and temporomanbular joint symptoms. In this study, how to help college students to relieve stress in a sound manner, to promote their physical, mental and oral health and ultimately to lead a sound college life should carefully be considered.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of BLS education program in middle school students and their retention period. The participants were 70 middle school students in D와 Y middle school in D city. Data were collected from 16th July to 26th November in 2012. Students were tested for their knowledge, attitude before, immediately after, 8 weeks after, 16 weeks after BLS eduction. Data were analyzed frequency, percentage,
-test, t-test and repeated measured ANOVA using SPSS/PC 21.0 statistical program. Knowledge, attitude, performance ability were significantly increased experimental group compared to control group. Knowledge and attitude 8 weeks after, and performance ability were significantly decreased compared to 8 weeks after. And Knowledge, attitude, and performance ability were significant decreased among groups. Therefore, to maintain the knowledge attitude and skills of BLS, appropriate renewal time are necessary in regular school health curriculum.
The Effect of Communication Satisfaction on Hospital Employees` Perceived Organizational Effectiveness

The purpose of this study is to verify the effects of hospital employees` communication satisfaction on their perceived organizational effectiveness. Four research hypothesis are established for the purpose of this study. The subject of this study were 473 employees who were working at 10 general hospitals in Korea. The survey was done with structured questionnaire from January 3 to February 8, 2013. The results of stepwise regression analysis show that hospital employees` communication satisfaction positively affected organizational effectiveness. Interaction effects between employees` communication satisfaction and work types had stronger effect on organizational growth than organizational stability. It can be pointed out as an important issue that communication satisfaction score of medical support occupation is the lowest level(3.11 points out of 5 points). If hospitals want an integration of organization, it is required to develop method or skill to increase communication satisfaction among employees.
Factors Associated with the Lumbar Spine and Femoral Neck Bone Mineral Density in Korean Elderly Women

This study was conducted among Korean women over aged 60 who participated in Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES) (the 2nd and 3rd year at the 4th survey, and the 1st year at the 5th survey). The purpose of the study was to figure out a relation between femoral neck and lumbar spine bone mineral density and anthropometry, life style, diet, fracture history, family history of osteoporosis, medical history, menstrual history and reproductive factor. To express the strength of the associations, percent differences were calculated from multiple linear regression models using the formula
(unit/mean BMD). Unit for continuous variables were chosen to approximate 1 standard deviation(SD). In women aged 60 or older, lean mass(B: 0.257) and fat mass(B: 0.237) greatly influenced bone density in the femoral neck and lumbar spine. Therefore it will be an effective way to prevent osteoporosis for elderly women by increasing lean mass and maintaining proper weight.

The purpose of this experiment is to evaluate of optimized FS techniques for T2 weighted abdominal MRI compared of TSE-SPIR fat suppression and GE-PROSET fat suppression. All MR examinations were performed on a 1.5 T(Philips, Medical System, Achieva) scanner using 16 channel mult-coils. All images were performed in the axial plane using TSE-SPIR and GE-PROSET. The mean SNRs of the retroperitoneal and mesenteric fat for TSE-SPIR and GE-PROSET were 31.50, 4.15 and 32.39, 7.03. The mean CNRs of the bowel and retroperitoneal, mesenteric fat for TSE-SPIR and GE-PROSET were 52.69, 74.54 and 26.12, 68.78). The delineation of bowel wall margins with TSE-SPIR(2.4) and GE-PROSET(1.8) were significantly improved using TSE-SPIR. The delineation of pancreas wall with TSE-SPIR(1.90), GE-PROSET(2.80) were significantly improved using GE-PROSET. In conclusion, TSE-SPIR fat suppression was superior to GE-PROSET fat suppression in T2 WI FS abdominal MRI.
Relationships Between Social Supports and Depression Symptoms Among High School Students in an Urban Area

This study was performed to determine the relationships between social supports and depression symptoms among high school students in urban areas. The self-administered questionnaires were given to 514 students located in Daejeon city during the period from April 1st to May 31th, 2010. As a results, the level of depression symptoms was significantly higher in proportion to lower level of social support of families and friends. And the level of depression symptoms was positively correlated with level of social support of families and friends. In multiple regression analysis, the factors of influence with the level of depression symptoms was sex, school grade, academic achievement, friendship with the school fellow, satisfaction of school life and satisfaction of family life. Especially explanatory powers to the level of depression symptoms increased by social support of families and friends. As a conclusion, the level of depression symptoms among high school students implies closely related with level of social support of families and friends.

This study was aimed to identify the differences and relation of eating, physical activity behavior and mental-psychological state according to the level of internet addiction in adolescents. A self-report by on-line survey was conducted on 73238 middle & high students, who are 12 and 18 years old in South Korea. The questionnaires utilized in this study were eatings, physical activities, perceived happiness and mental health. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics,
-test, ANOVA and Pearson`s correlation coefficient using SPSS WIN 14.0 program. All participants were general group 94.5%, potential group 2.5%, high risk group 3.0% classified. Violent, Muscle strengthening did not show a significant difference on three groups. Eating, physical activity, mental-psychological health and internet addiction was a correlation, eating and mental-psychological health did not show a correlation. The study suggests adolescents internet addiction prevention education to include Eating, physical activity, mental-psychological health.
The Effect of Sociological Characteristics and Oral Health Behaviors on Oral Health Index in Korean Elderly

The purpose of this study was to evaluate oral health status using oral health index in the elderly population and determine methods for improving oral health status. The date collected from `The fifth korean national health and nutrition examination survey 2010` was analyzed in this study. The subjects included in this study were 712 elderly people, aged 65 years or older and who had completed the oral examination, health questionnaires and nutrition examination. Statistical analysis was done using the SPSS 19.0 for Windows. We determined Frequency analysis and multiple regression analysis. General characteristics and oral health behaviors showed differences in number of teeth associated with as male, the lower age, as dong, the higher education level, the lower smoking, the more use oral health goods, in DMFT associated with the lower age, the lower income level, the higher education level, in FS-T associated with as female, the higher income level, the more use brushing, in T-Health associated with as male, the lower age, as dong, the lower smoking, the more use oral health goods, in CPI associated with as male, the lower age, as dong, the lower smoking, the more use oral health goods. In conclusion, oral health behavior have effect on oral health index, in order to improve the quality of life and promote oral health of the elderly, oral health education system should be organized. Local governments should be supported active and various oral health program for the elderly.
Oral Health Behavior and Dental Clinics Satisfaction of Chinese Students` Studying in Korea

This study was performed to identify the oral health behaviors and dental clinics satisfaction of Chinese students` studying in Korea. This research was based on self questionnaire survey which 195 Chinese students in Korea. An interview questionnaire was used to collect information on general characteristics and oral health behaviors. Also, to compare between adults who participated to Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey and dental health conditions. The statistical analysis was done by using the SPSS 19.0 program. Chinese students in Korea brushing teeth average appeared to be 2.14, and Korean adults teeth brushing average appeared to be 2.81. So Korean adults brushing teeth appeared to be more higher than Chinese student in Korea(p<0.05). Chinese student in Korea appeared to be overall satisfaction for using domestic dental clinic was 3.77. For using domestic dental clinic, Chinese student in Korea tell that improvement they should consider was high costs(15.3%), difficulty with communication(8.6%), foreigner discrimination(5.7%) by order of this. Chinese student in Korea have to keep their dental health well and necessary to grow right habit of dental health through dental health education program to accomplish efficient education during staying in Korea to study.
A Study on ERP and Behavior Responses in Emotion Regulation

This paper measured whether neural and behavior responses to attention-emotion task were reflected to emotion regulation capacities. For this purpose, Nineteen healthy right-handed graduates participated in the emotion-attention task three times for three days. Before and after the negative and positive video clips were shown, the participants performed emotion-attention task. EEG and response time were recorded during emotion-attention task. There was positive correlation between ERP P100 and P300 component. The larger the P100 amplitudes at the specific positions, the longer the P300 latencies at these same positions during attention-emotion task. The longer the P300 latencies at the specific positions, the longer the delay in response time. Also, there is and individual differences in ERP components and response time during attention-emotion integration task. Individuals who had lower amplitude and shorter latency of ERP showed faster response time during attention-emotion task, regardless of the type of video clips. This characteristic was interpreted to the lower emotional controls due to premature response for target identification.
Factors Associated with Employee Satisfaction on Training & Education Programs in General Hospitals

The purpose of this study was to suggest a better education programs for general hospitals. To do so, we conduct an empirical analysis of factors associated with employee satisfaction on training and education programs in general hospitals. The subjects were 490 respondents from 4 general hospitals, and the major findings of the study were as follows: First, employee satisfaction on training and education programs were shown statistically significant difference according to their demographic characteristics. Second, hospital employees whose organizational commitment and job performance was better expressed had more satisfaction with the education and training they received. Finally, it was found that self-efficacy had a moderation effect on between expectations for education and satisfaction with education and training. The study finally discusses practical implications for developing effective education program.

The aim of the study is to investigate the awareness towards drinking in the university students and to provide the basic data for more realistic and efficient drinking prevention policy. The subject of investigation was students at the Department of Medicine/Health and those at the Department of Engineering among students living in N city and D city and the survey, which was constructed by KPHA, was distributed to 300 students from March 4, 2013 to March 8, 2013 with explaning the purpose, contents and entry method of the investigation. Overall 293 responses were collected, as 48 reponses from the Department of Medicine, 98 from the Department of Health, 147 from the Department of Engineering. Among the factors that affect students` drinking, as a general factor, a grade(p<0.05) had an influence, if a general factor and drinking condition are included, it turned out that the first drinking time(p<0.01) and friends` drinking condition had an influence. Accountance of the whole model was turned out as 20.0%. Considering university students` drinking culture, it is suggested that active education and campaign through anti-drinking student groups will contribute to create healthy drinking culture.

This study analyzed the smoking and smoking cessation characteristics, smoking cessation self-efficacy and counseling satisfaction of 140 college students using smoking cessation clinics in 2 universities, located in D Metropolitan City and C Province. The results can be summarized as follow; As motives for signing up for a smoking cessation clinic, 47.8% responded that they were recommended by others. 61.4% said that they had tried to stop smoking for the past one year. As the first reason for stopping smoking, 45.7% responded that it was to prevent diseases in the future. As factors affecting the smoking cessation self-efficacy, the smoking temptation score was the most significant variable, followed by the smoking cessation confidence score and the smoking amount. As a factor affecting the smoking cessation counseling satisfaction, whether to perceive health problems was the most significant variable, followed by the smoking cessation confidence score and the smoking temptation score.

The purpose of this study was to learn the impact of creative action and locus of control on the self-leadership among RN-BSN students. 135 RN-BSN students participated after being told the research information. The results were as follows: first, mean of locus of control was 1.42, creative action was 3.26, and self-leadership was 3.63. Second, the differences according to general characteristics for the variable of locus of control, workers at hospitals were higher than non workers. For creative action, and self-leadership, those over age 30 and charge nurses rated higher than those below 20 and staff nurses. The last, locus of control and creative action had influence on the self-leadership. The conclusion was that if each nursing organization wants to improve its nurses` self leadership, it must consider nurses` locus of control, and creative action.

This study was to identify the relationship among small-medium sized hospitals nurse`s career plateau, self-efficacy, job embeddedness and turnover intention. The study was conducted through a survey on 217 nurses in five small-medium sized hospitals in J city. The data were collected from August 5, 2013 to August 20, 2013. The data were analyzed by SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. The mean score of turnover intention was 3.07. The positive correlations between career plateau and turnover intention were found, but the negative correlation between self-efficacy, job embeddedness and turnover intention were found. The significant factors influencing turnover intention were job embeddedness, present clinical career, career plateau and work unit. To decrease turnover intention, therefore, nursing managers need to develop the nurse retention program for increasing job embeddedness and apply to nursing field.

Houttuynia cordata Thunb is a famous traditional Chinese medicine. Also it has rich in functional and bioactive substances with outstanding immunopotentiation, anti-cancer, antimicrobial, and anti-aging effects. This study was evaluated water and 70% ethanol extracts of Houttuynia cordata Thunb using in vitro system antioxidant properties methods. The scavenging DPPH and ABTS radicals of 2 mg/mL 70% ethanol extract were 91.8 and 54.8%, respectively. Also, The FRAP assay of this showed increase in activity. In results, the antioxidant properties of 70% ethanol extract increased significantly compared to water extract(p < 0.05). Therefore, 70% ethanol extract of Houttuynia cordata Thunb may contribute to antioxidant property.
Impact of Difference in Korean Wave Awareness among Chinese Women on Quality Perception and Purchasing Behavior of Korean Cosmetic Products

To derive implication for marketing strategy for Korean cosmetic products in China, an analysis was conducted on the difference in quality perception and purchase behavior between two groups of Chinese women classified by their awareness of Korean Wave. Analytical methods including k-means clustering method, independent samples t-test, factor analysis were applied on the survey results of Chinese women residing in Guangzhou city. The positive impact of Korean Wave on quality perception and brand image is much stronger for higher awareness group, compared against for lower awareness group, that leads to higher product satisfaction and willingness to recommend purchases. Thus, marketing strategies need to be adjusted based on the difference in customers awareness of Korean Wave. However, the low price is the primary inducement for purchases for both groups, increased efforts to enhance brand image and product quality as premium products is strongly required, together with the utilization of Koran Wave.

This paper is conducted a research of the cable and filter design considering the deep sea floor environment. The electric architecture which is being used in the subsea plant is comprised of the power supply unit of the high voltage, high-capacity drive system, long cable, and electric motor in the sea area. Conducted emission is occurred by the rapid voltage change at the moment of switching at high speed of inverter for driving motors. The more the length of the cable is lengthened, the worse the motor is influenced by transient voltage. Thus, the over voltage occurred in the drive motor was confirmed by designed wire which is considered R, L, line-to-line C, line-to-gnd C of long cable used in the subsea plant. A guide line of the subsea plant model is also suggested by using a filter to reduce conducted noise of PWM inverter drive-system.

This paper has studied about the development and application of landslide collapse prediction real-time monitoring system based on USN to detect and measure the collapse of landslide. The rainfall measuring sensor, gap water pressure sensor, indicator displacement measuring sensor, index inclination sensor, water content sensor and image analysis sensor are selected and these are applied on the test bed. Each sensor`s operation and performance for reliability verification is tested by the instrument which is installed in the field. As the result, u-IT based real-time landslide monitoring system which is developed by this research for landslide collapse detection could minimize life and property damages because it makes advance evacuation with collapse risk pre-estimate through real-time monitoring on roadside cut and bedrock slopes. This system is based on the results of this study demonstrate the effect escarpment plan are spread throughout.

In this paper, it is proposed that JTAG fault injection environment and the results of the classification techniques that the reliability of embedded systems can be tested. As applying these, this is possible to quantitative analysis of vulnerable factor for system. The quantitative analysis for the degree of vulnerability of system is evaluated by faults errors, and failures classification schemes. When applying these schemes, it is possible to verify process and classify for fault that might occur in the system.

Volumetric display has many applications recently in education, 3D movie, medical images but these applications have several problems that need to be overcome. Volumetric display may process a amount of visual data and design the high efficient vision system for realtime display. The stereo data for volumetric display estimated the disparity vectors from the stereoscopic sequences has been transmitted the disparity vectors, motion vectors and residual images with the reference images, and the stereoscopic sequences have been reconstructed at the receiver for 3D display. Central issue for efficient 3D display lies in selecting an appropriate stereo matching with robust vision system. In this paper, high efficient vision system is proposed for efficient stereo image matching and the experimental results represent high efficiency for proposed 3D display system.

Ladder Diagram(LD) or Sequential Function Chart(SFC) is used for the design of complex modern control system with Programmable logic controller(PLC). LD is the most widely utilized among PLC standard language. But recently, SFC is used frequently. SFC is very easy to grasp the sequential flow of control logic but is difficult for describing combinational logic. When the interrupt factor is occurred, the main program is stopped. And after the interrupt program is completed, the main program is restart. Therefore the more complex the interrupt program, the main program is interrupted downtime will be that much longer. In this paper, we propose the method for interrupt implementation without the dwell time of the main program by SFC language and confirm his feasibility through the simulation.

This paper presents a new idea of structural design of the optical access network for IPOW(IP over WDM) services. More efficient network can be constructed, because the IP packets are transmitted directly to the WDM without going through an intermediate layer of networks. The wavelength Routing is based on a label switching technology. The ability to transmission of high volume traffics and QoS capability of the optical label switching directly to the end user of the IPOW optical internet networks is provided. As in AON(Active Optical Network) flexible bandwidth on demand subscribers is allocated. By the Simulation of the proposed optical access networks to measure the BER(Bits Error Ratio) at the end of the nodes the network characteristics are analyzed. These results are based on the design of efficient optical network.
Screening Effects of Double-track Electric Railway and Shielded Cables on Communication-Line Inductive Interference

The induced voltage on the telecommunication cable generated by nearby electric railway system may bring about telecommunication errors and safety accidents. In order to reduce the induced voltage and to achieve communication reliability, the effect of the shield cables and the recent double-track railway systems on the inductive interference should be investigated. This paper analyzes the parameters which seriously influence the induced voltage on the telecommunication cables which run parallel with a AT-fed electric railway line, and provides a simulation-based approach to estimate the amount of the induced voltage. Simulation results indicate that the induced noise voltage generated by a double-track railway decreases by 18 % compared to that generated by a single-track railway, showing the screening effect by nearby track. The induced noise voltages on the 50%-shielded cable and 15%-shielded cable decrease to 1/8 and 1/15 of the induced voltage on the non-shielded cable, respectively. A meaningful shield effect is achieved and the induced voltage is minimized by the double-track railway and the shielded cable.
Adaptive Upstream Backup Scheme based on Throughput Rate in Distributed Spatial Data Stream System

In distributed spatial data stream processing, processed tuples of downstream nodes are replicated to the upstream node in order to increase the utilization of distributed nodes and to recover the whole system for the case of system failure. However, while the data input rate increases and multiple downstream nodes share the operation result of the upstream node, the data which stores to output queues as a backup can be lost since the deletion operation delay may be occurred by the delay of the tuple processing of upstream node. In this paper, the adaptive upstream backup scheme based on operation throughput in distributed spatial data stream system is proposed. This method can cut down the average load rate of nodes by efficient spatial operation migration as it processes spatial temporal data stream, and it can minimize the data loss by fluid change of backup mode. The experiments show the proposed approach can prevent data loss and can decrease, on average, 20% of CPU utilization by node monitoring.

A Framework for 3D Hand Gesture Design and Modeling

We present a framework for 3D hand gesture design and modeling. We adapted two different pattern matching techniques, Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) and Hidden Markov Models (HMMs), to support the registration and evaluation of 3D hand gestures as well as their recognition. One key ingredient of our framework is a concept for the convenient gesture design and registration using HMMs. DTW is used to recognize hand gestures with a limited training data, and evaluate how the performed gesture is similar to its template gesture. We facilitate the use of visual sensors and body sensors for capturing both locative and inertial gesture information. In our experimental evaluation, we designed 18 example hand gestures and analyzed the performance of recognition methods and gesture features under various conditions. We discuss the variability between users in gesture performance.

In general, Korean Lightweight Concrete used Heat insulating material for building and filler for civil construction, backfill material for tunnel, office floor fillers, lightweight blocks and so on. The automated quantity take off technique using BIM authoring tools has been recently issued, and the studies of this method for the accuracy, efficiency, and the unit computing for the simple volume, area and number have been developed. The purpose of this study is to investigate the differences of opinion among the user groups in revitalizing the old urban center. To this end, the old downtown commercial street users in Gimhae traders, local and foreign visitors were surveyed. To examine the statistical significance, the chi-square test was performed. There were differences of opinion among three groups about the present condition and improvement of the street. Therefore, in activating the old commercial street we should reflect not only the opinions of merchants but also those of visitors. The results of this study are intended to be used as a reference to the revitalization of old commercial street.

Despite the increasing incidence of earthquakes in recent years, many of the existing buildings don`t have appropriate seismic performance due to the deterioration or structural characteristics. In particular, a piloti-type RC shear wall structure, which is one of the building types in Korea, is highly vulnerable to earthquakes due to a great lack of shear function that can resist lateral force caused by the earthquake since the first floor is mostly soft story, and it is classified as weak story. In this regard, a study on the damage state criterion for the piloti-type RC shear wall structures was carried out. The capacity spectrum was calculated through the structural analysis by selecting typical type of buildings of shear wall systems, and damage state criterion was defined based on the shape of the capacity spectrum.

Recent construction in the field of 3D aversion is increasing interest in automation. This study is results about survey of the coastal landfill using automatic VRS-GPS surveying system. GPS is made with GRXI and SHC250 controller. Automatic surveying system is composed of DPS module, geomagnetism sensor, bluetooth, gimbals, IMU, etc and enables an automatic driving via entered into a route of position. The developed auto surveying system has installed the front and camera for vertical axis and can grasp situation of surveying with smartphone in real time. The comparative result between surveyed result with repetition method auto VRS-GPS surveying system observed surveyed result with VRS-RTK has shown that average error of x-axis is 0.009m, average error of y-axis, 0.010m and average error of height, 0.002m. This possibility was confirmed that field application.

This study focused on the construction of Korean Evacuation load Model for reflecting Korean Evacuation behaviors. For the purposes, several evacuation experiments are executed according to the ages, and the level and types of disabilities. We accumulated the data on the evacuation velocity and behavior patterns according the ages, and the level and types of disabilities. From these results, we proposed the Korean Evacuation Load Model and compared with several popular evacuation simulation model such SIMULEX. As results of these studies, we found the possibility of construction of Korean Evacuation Simulation System based on the Korean Evacuation Model including the evacuation velocity and human behaviors.
Study on the Influencing Factor for the Decision of the Embankment Construction Method using Geotextile tube Filled with Dredged soil

In this paper, the influencing factors for the decision of the embankment construction method utilizing geotextile tube were studied by analyzing the application and economic considerations based on the construction practices of the geotextile tube filled with dredged soil in the domestic and international. In the domestic case, cost savings of 40 to 50% is attained by applying geotextile tubes in the embankment construction and in the international case, the amount of quarry materials was reduced from 20 to 70% by replacing the core of the embankment with geotextile tube. As a result, utilization of geotextile tube filled with dredged soil should be considered in a very large construction site with a quarry-to-site delivery distance of more than 16~25km. The construction scale and delivery distance were found to be important influencing factors for the decision of the embankment construction method utilizing geotextile tube filled with dredged soil.

Recently, many bridges become not only functionally obsolete of bridge dick due to inadequate width but also structurally deficient of substructure due to erosion. In these case widening is almost always more economical than complete replacement, and therefore there is a need to make available the results of research and field experience pertaining to the widening of bridge substructure. But, an experimental study for the guarantee of unification between existing and new substructure with post-installed concrete set anchor is so insufficient that the development of post-installed concrete set anchor system for the unification should be settled promptly. The objective is to investigate the effects of anchor embedment depth and concrete strength on pullout characteristics of post-installed concrete set anchor embedded in plain concrete. The effects of embedment depth variable is depending on concrete strength as strong as concrete strength is pullout load is high. Regardless of concrete strength, embedment depth that less than 6 times appeared concrete failure mode but for embedment depth that over 8 times concrete strength has no affection on failure mode.

BIM(Building Information Modeling) enables 3D model-base management for all information produced by construction project during its life cycle. Also as a national policy, BIM has been institutionalized as design criteria. But, on the matter of 2D drawing using BIM software (Revit Architecture), it has been recognized as difficult to realize the same quality drawing drawn by CAD. The purpose of this study is verifying the possibility of printable design drawing implemented by BIM software at the same quality of 2D shop drawing drawn by 2D CAD. Through the analysis of basic design elements of 3D BIM software and 2D CAD software, with the case of partial cross sectional drawing which is most faithful representation of the basic design elements, this study find out that the 3D BIM software can produce the same quality 2D printable drawing utilizing its implicit function.

This study aims to make sustainable and future-oriented eco-archipelagic city through developed trend of analysis physical design method and correlation analysis between design method and development purpose for archipelagic development. First, EU cases had variety developed thema and identity such as science city, leisure and resort city, commercial city, ecology city in environmental theory aspects but, Korean cases have plenty of problems such as focused development of leisure and resort city for fund profit, imperfected native people`s developed knowledge learning and understanding and figure out that they will not make to the sustainable development for islands of archipelagic. Second, as a in-depth analysis, the application of methods and developed trend were figured out by correlation analysis between physical design methods and development purpose through result(physical design methods) of case studies. As a result, contents and design methods from development purposes have to develop by multilateral aspects and also, native resident will have to require infrastructure expansion about service contents for smooth communication and sustainable information sharing.
A study on Development of the Adequacy Evaluation Indicators for the Regional Industries

In order to create a successful regional development model, there should be an effort to foster a strategic industry which boosts a geographical features of rural areas. Because, It must be clear that the strategic industry chosen between choice and concentration of the development of the local industry development which boosts the local economy revitalization. The local government should have continual concern and roles to fulfil political subjects and keep estimating about the possibility that there could be the sustainable development by Task Ahead of the local industry. This study`s indicators were established for the adequacy evaluation of the industrial policy by focusing on domestic regional development`s success example. Next, Conjoint analysis was conducted on the Experts. On the basis of this analysis, the weights of indicators are derived. And this study suggest the reasonable evaluation system to take Sustainable industry plan of regional strategic. Consequently, `Regional development` sector separate 3 categories which are `Local economy`, `Human Resource Development`, `local marketing` and 9 indicators were derived. `Industrial development` sector derived 9 indicators about `Construction of infrastructure`, `Technical development` and `business support`. Looking through the implications of this study. First, the problem needed to be supplemented based on the Diversity and concreteness of Evaluation system when government assesses regional industry development policy. Second, local government have to strategically consider the possibility of convergence between industries and easiness of network in a broad region. Finally, Foundation and support of the professional manpower and companies for the regional industries must be established.
Influence of Bias Weight of Vibratory Pile Driver on Load Transfer Characteristics of Piles

Technique for analyzing pile installed by vibratory pile driver was developed and results of analysis obtained from variation of bias weight were studied. It can be seen from load transfer curve for dynamic skin friction that load transfer curve shift to downward as bias weight increases. Shape of load transfer curve for dynamic skin friction becomes closer to shape of coil as the bias weight decreases. Magnitudes of toe resistances were not affected by the bias weight. Shape of load transfer curve for dynamic toe resistance shows the similar tendency as the load transfer curve for skin friction exhibits. Vertical displacement increases as the bias weight increases and the shape of vertical displacement with time shows more distinct shape of wave.
Influence Factors on User Satisfaction of Commercial Areas in Downtown -focused on commercial areas near Cheonan railway station and central bus terminal-

The aim of this study is to analyze the general satisfaction of the commercial areas near Cheonan central bus terminal and the rail-station and to extract various environmental factors of the city center which give effect to the user satisfaction of commercial area. As the result of the analyses, the environmental factors of the city center make a difference between the commercial areas of Cheonan central bus terminal and of the station in the aspects of user satisfaction. The user satisfaction of the commercial areas is appeared highest in `comfort of walking environments` and `convenience of commerce business transaction` which were environmental factors of the city center. For reactivation of the commercial area near Cheonan rail-station are needed improvement of walking environments and relocation of facilities as complex mall and bank etc.
The Key Points of Architectural Planning for Floating Residential Architecture

This study aims to identify the key points of architectural planning for floating residential architecture. For this purpose, this study analyses 6 kinds of standards about floating architecture and 14 cases of floating residential architecture. As a result, this study finds out 4 points of architectural planning for floating residential architecture; first, planning of access to upland and walkway, second, public facilities and community space planning, third, planning of various equipment, material and fixed extinguishing system for fire prevention, forth, modular system planning including manufacturing, transporting and installation of modular house.
Shear Resistance Evaluation of Steel Grid Composite Deck Joint

In order to apply a mechanical deck joint to the prefabricated steel grid composite decks, shear resistance of a joint composed of concrete shear key and high-tension bolt is experimentally evaluated by the push-out test. Shear resistance evaluated by the test is compared with resistance estimated by empirical and design equations based on the shear friction theory. Test results show that joint specimens bonded by epoxy have about 10% more shear resistance than specimens with strengthened shear key by steel plates, but in the case of specimens with strengthened shear key there is smaller resistance deviation than specimens bonded by epoxy. In comparison with resistances estimated by empirical and design equations, the deck joint can be safely designed. But because the existed shear resistance of deck joint is underestimated by the ACI-318, application of the LRFD design equation could be more reasonable.

Poly(butyl methacrylate-co-polyethyleneglycol methacrylate) (Poly(BMA-co-PEGMA)) microsphere was prepared by precipitation copolymerization of PEGMA and butyl methacrylate in ethanol solution. Microspheres were controlled by experimantal conditions 140nm to 210nm. The particle size of Poly(BMA-co-PEGMA) microspheres was decreased with increasing the concentration of PEGMA and increased with BMA of monomer.
Degradation of MEK using continuous single module photo-catalytic reactor

The degradation of methylethylkeone(MEK) was investigated by the continuous single module photocatalytic reactor. Operational conditions were initial concentration of MEK, intensity of photon flux, and activity change according to the long time operation. The photocatalytic degradation was decreased with the increase of MEK concentration, and the degree of decrease was larger at higher flow rate. Removal efficiency of photocatalytic reactor was decreased with the increase of reactor diameter and lamp wavelength under the same residence time condition. Continuous single module photocatalytic reactor was successfully operated without any activity drop during 120hrs operation.
Study on maximum power point tracking method for PV system under varying irradiance

Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) method for Photovoltaic (PV) system is implemented in PV inveter and it generate the maximum electric power from PV cell. MPPT method has been studied to have high efficiency and high tracking speed. However, these studies are basically focused on the performance under fixed irradiance condition. Based on the typical Perturbation and Observation (P&O) method, this paper presents the research results on modified P&O method to have a better performance under varying irradiance condition. The modified P&O method can have a better performance under varying irradiance condition because the additional measurements during the MPPT control period are conducted. The proposed MPPT method is verified by using 250kW PV inverter under linearly varying irradiance condition according to EN 50530.
