A Study on manufacturing of Injection Mold and Delivery System Characteristics of Cosmic case

A cosmetic manufacturing process requires a mold that is inevitable for mass production. Cosmetic containers are one of major factors affecting the customer's purchase decision. In addition, the manufacturing cost in cosmetic container comprises a large portion of the entire product cost. Therefore, a mold satisfying the economical feasibility, aesthetics and functionality is necessary. Among the cosmetic containers, square shape containers have a tendency of having a short shot defect product. The square shaped cosmetic containers are mostly produced as a side gate shape on the two-plate molds. On the other hand, there are two disadvantages, such as gate trace and post processing requirement. The overlap-gateproposed in this study has the characteristics of intaglio gate cutting and no need for post processing. The delivery system of the overlap gate was simulated and compared with the side gate via Moldflow. The improvement in flow, frozen rate, density, and Air trap was confirmed. Based on the simulation results, the mold and performed injection molding was fabricated. In this study, the possibility of the mass production of high aesthetic and functionality cosmetic containers was verified.
Development of Analysis Model for High-Performance Heat Pump

Heat pumps have attracted considerable attention as a green energy system because they use renewable energy, such as geothermal, solar energy and waste heat, and can have a low electricity consumption rate compared to other conventional electric heating system. Many studies of high efficient heat pump system design was performed previously,but it is not easy to find any an analytical model that consists of components (e.g. compressor, heat exchangers, and expansion valve), not only having an interrelation and interconnection each other but also being flexible to any change in geometry and operating parameters. In this study, a computational model was developed for a heat pump with warm air as a heat source using the one-dimensional modeling software, AMESim. In combination with an independently-developed analytical model for a scroll compressor, the heat pump model can simulate the physical characteristics and actual behavior of the heat pump precisely. In addition, the reliability of the model was improved by verifying the simulation results using experimental data. The simulation data fell into the 10% error range compared with the experimental data. The heat pump model can be used for system optimization studies of product development and applied to other applications in a range of industrial field.
A Study on the Effect of V-Ring Pressure and Clearance on the Die Roll Height Through the Fine Blanking

Minimizing the height of the die roll is very important for maximizing the size of effective shear planes. In this study, the die roll change was investigated for the change in the amounts and clearance of the V-ring indentation. Shear analysis and experiments were conducted with the V-ring distance fixed to 2mm. Fine blanking die was applied to the die insert with different clearances. Several specimens were analyzed about the height of the die roll. As a result, the pressure of V-ring effectively inhibited the flow of materials. And the height of the die roll was lowest when the clearance between the die and punch was 1% of the material thickness.
Calibration Technique for Freehand 3-D Ultrasound System

This paper proposes a calibration method for a freehand 3-D ultrasound system in medical robotic research. The calibration block with six wires was designed to set the fixed target points. The positions of the ultrasound probe and calibration block were measured using an optical tracker. The relationship between the position of the ultrasound probe and the pixel coordinates in the images was derived using a calibration process. The scaling matrix was also calculated. The experimental results showed that the proposed method could find solutions using a simple least square method from one or multiple ultrasound images.
Heat Transfer and Pressure Drop Characteristics of Cross-Flow Plastic Air Heater for a Cooling Tower

In this study, experiments were performed on air heater samples with three different shapes (chevron, wave and dimple type) to reduce the plumes from cooling towers. The tests were conducted for a range of frontal air velocities of 1~3 m/s and water flow rate 0.19~0.33 kg/s. The results showed that the heat transfer rate increased with increasing air velocity or water flow rate. The air-side pressure drop also increased with increasing air velocity. At the same frontal air velocity, the highest heat transfer rate was obtained for the chevron sample (1.5~1.7 times compared to that of the plate sample), followed by the dimple, wave and plate samples. The heat transfer rate per unit power consumption was also 15% larger than that of the dimple sample. On the other hand, there was no noticeable difference between the other samples.

The supply of DSLR cameras has increased recently. Because of its widespread use, different types of DSLR camera video techniques have also been developed. Time-lapse is an effective filming technique that helps produce a fine-quality video clip by taking pictures of multiple camera shots during certain time intervals without recording the actual video clip, as the existing technique does. Machinery equipment (dolly), which controls the speed of movement and shutter, needs to be deleted. This paper introduces a method for a designing movement system that satisfies the design conditions. In addition, this paper proved the validity of the design by performing stress analysis on the static and dynamic conditions of the final design.
Development of a Pneumatically Driven 6 DOF Driving Simulator

A pneumatically-driven driving simulator that provides a realistic representation of the driving environment was developed. The motion platform for the driving simulator is a mechatronic device that gives a driver the realistic feeling of an actual vehicle. The cost of the motion platform comprises the largest part of the expenses in developing a driving simulator. In this project, to develop a low-cost motion platform, the self-built motion platform based on the Stewart platform configuration that is constructed by six pneumatic cylinders was used as its actuator. The Stewart platform that moves in response to the operating signals of the joystick showed satisfactory tracking performance. We confirmed the possibility of the driving simulator using rFactor that is a commercially available racing game software.
Experimental Study on Corrosion and Thermal Conductivity Characteristics of Thermal Spray Coating for Sea Water Heat Exchanger

In the present study, the characteristics of corrosion and thermal conductivity of thermal spray coatings for seawater heat exchangers were examined experimentally. The coating types of theZn and Al thermal spray coatings with additional epoxy and silicone sealers were tested. To examine the corrosion characteristics of the thermal spray coating, the cyclic voltamogram curve was measured followed by SEM imaging for surface characterization. The laser flash method was usedto measure the thermal conductivity of the specimen. The conductivity test results showed that thermal conductivity decreased by3 ~ 4% with the silicone sealer and decreased by 70 ~ 75% with the epoxy sealer.
Estimation on Elastic Properties of SiC Ceramic Honeycomb Substrate

Automotive three-way catalyst substrate has a cordierite ceramic honeycomb structure. The substrate in the high engine speed range doesn't satisfy the design fatigue life due to the low mechanical properties of cordierite ceramic. SiC ceramic has higher mechanical properties than cordierite ceramic. If the automotive three-way catalyst substrate is made from the SiC ceramic honeycomb structure, the substrate can be prevented from premature failure. In this study, the mechanical properties of SiC ceramic honeycomb substrate were estimated by FEA. The FEA results indicated that the MOR and elastic modulus for the SiC ceramic honeycomb substrate was much higher than those for the cordierite ceramic honeycomb substrate.
Study of the Weld Defects Identification Method by Ultrasonic Pulse Echo Patterns

This study examined the ultrasonic pulse reflection method(UPRM) for testing each ultrasonic pulse waveform model(UPWM) based on weld defects. The sharp crack of a clear signal was generated. The echo height of the defective probes changed according to the location. In a long crack in a circle around the defective probes, the Swivel scanning echo height when using the particle was reduced drastically. The peaks in the echo were thin because the needle was pointed. The porosity defects arising from a single echo was sharp and crisp, but a number of pores of the collective reflection overlapped and ajagged echo was observed. Slag, slag inclusions, cracks, and defects at the Swivel scan of each particle using the echo shape showed difference in the degree. Cracks were revealed as sudden changes in the echo height of the slag inclusions: increase
decrease. In addition, the location of a number of defects in the dense pore geometry, such as a typical echo sundry, revealed the shape in the slag. Poor penetration of the defect echo, revealed the cracks to have a sharp-edged, crack-like shape with an echo.

This study investigated the naming of departments in a university music school, particularly 'Applied Music'. The results of this study were used to explain the characteristics and foundation background of each 'Applied Music' department. In addition, explaining the misinterpretation of the Korean and English names of 'Applied Music'. This study will provide a guide to reach consensus on naming the department of 'Applied Music' and is expected to be useful to some universities planning to set up new majors in music schools, such as 'Applied Music'.
The relationships of rough & tumble play and children's social language use

This study was designed to examine the relationships between rough and tumble play and children's social language use. The subjects were 90 children in a nursery school in N city. The data was analyzed using the Pearson correlation and stepwise regression. The results were as follows. First, there was a significant positive relationship between rough and tumble play, and the children's social language use. Second, the children's social language use' sub valuables had an effect on rough and tumble play. In particular, 'demand of action' has negative effects on the 'pull and push', and 'catch'. Furthermore, 'rejection' has negative effects on 'collapse' and 'rush'. This suggests that a rough and tumble play program can be developed to enhance the children's social language use.
Structural Relationships among Site Quality of Online Wine Store, Perceived Value, and Online Purchase Intention

With the increasing number of online wine stores, customers are increasingly seeking to purchase wine online. On the other hand, purchasing wine online is prohibited by law or regulation in Korea. Therefore, customers mainly search for wine information, inquire about wine products, and make a pre-purchase at an online wine store. Online wine stores play important roles in customer's purchase decision-making, and are likely to be a useful wine distribution channel in the near future. Therefore, the aim of this study was to identify the determinants of the online wine purchase intention, and examine the structural relationships between the determinants and online wine purchase intention. The site quality of online wine stores (information quality, system quality, service quality), and perceived value (quality value, price value, emotional value, social value) were selected as the determinants of online wine purchase intention based on literature review. The data was collected from those who had experience using an online wine store to purchase wine, and the data was used to test the proposed research model. The findings showed that the information quality was not related to the perceived value (quality value, price value, emotional value, social value). The system quality was proven to be positively and significantly related to the quality value, price value, and emotional value, whereas it had no impact on the social value. In addition, the service quality was found to affect the perceived value (quality value, price value, emotional and social value). Finally, the results showed that the quality value, emotional value, and social value have a positive impact on the online wine purchase intention, whereas the price quality is not related to the online wine purchase intention. These results are expected to make a contribution to a better understanding of how the quality of online wine stores and the customer's perceived value affect the online wine purchasing intention.
Job Satisfaction and Job Performance of Advanced Practice Nurses

This study examined the status on job satisfaction and job performance of Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) in Korea. The data was obtained from the 2009 APNs' job satisfaction survey of 452 nurses who received the certificate of APN between 2005 and 2008 conducted by the Korean Accreditation Board of Nursing Education. ANOVA and t-test analyses using SPSS version 14.0 were performed. The average job satisfaction level of the APNs was 2.94 out of 5.00. APNs who were performing jobs as a certified APN had a higher level of job satisfaction (t=.23, p<.001), higher wages (t=2.23, p<.05), promotion in rank (t=2.56, p<.05), more professional job performance (t=10.52, p<.001), greatest trust in their bosses and coworkers (t=5.31, p<.001), and higher confidence in their job performance (t=5.07, p<.001) than those who were not. The government and the nursing community need to provide the APNs' with the appropriate supply and demand polices, as well as a proper incentive system and job improvement.

This study was conducted on daily news reporters working in Seoul to determine the factors/characteristics causing job stress and potential countermeasures. The survey was conducted by interviewing 170 daily news reporters who took part in the study from March 3rd to March 7th 2013. The analysis of the information was performed by frequency analysis, T-test and One-way ANOVA, correlation analysis etc. using the SPSS Win 21.0 program and the empirical analysis was verified at the 5% level of significance. First, the following results of the analysis were meaningful because current journalists and reporters showed reduced levels of stress when their job satisfaction was high. Secondary, smoking and art activity to alleviate their job stress were found to be strong stress countermeasures. Third, there were significant differences in those who had high levels of job stress and exhibited stronger ways of coping with it. This study affirms an alternative in basic policy, which can provide a working environment that helps journalists to perform their work proficiently and steadily.
Exploring on the job competence of the staff in center for teaching and learning

This study examined the job competence of the staff at the center for teaching and learning(CTL) in university and to find out the level of job competence, which has been asked to the staff of the CTL. For that, the factor of the job competence, which is required of the staff of the CTL, was inquired through a literature review. Based on the job competence, this study examined the required job competence of the staff in Daejeon city and Chungnam province. The result suggests that the job competence required of staff are the basic job competence, planning-analysis job competence, management job competence for the project, and evaluation job competence. The first factor in basic job competence is the attitude to change and innovation. In the planning-analysis job competence, the first factor is an analysis and consultation of instruction. In managing the job competence for the project, the first factor is the management of human resources, and the first factor in evaluating the job competence is an evaluation of the effectiveness of the media. Therefore, to revitalize the CTL, there is a need to organize an expert pool, plan and support program that is suitable for professional development.
A Study on the Moderating Effects of Shared Leadership on the Relationship between Types of Organizational Culture and Organizational Commitment, Job Satisfaction - A Focus on Company 'P

This study examined the relationship between the type of organizational culture and organizational commitment, job satisfaction as well as the moderate effects of shared leadership on the relationship among the organizational culture, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction at a world leading steel company 'P'. The results showed that the consensus culture and rational culture positively affect the organizational commitment, and that the developmental culture, consensus culture and rational culture positively affected the job satisfaction. The results also revealed the meaningful moderate effects of the shared leadership on the relationship between the development culture, consensus culture and job satisfaction. The suggestions were made accordingly to propose the directions to improve the organizational performance of the company that is in global competition.
Critical reviews of job training and employment support trial plans for immigrant women by marriage

The aim of this study was to learn what directions need to be reflected when establishing the next-term trial plans by analyzing the current trial plans being implemented in Korea regarding job training and employment support for immigrant women by marriage. For this purpose, the job training suggested in the Healthy Family Basic Plan and Multicultural Family Policy Basic Plan as well as in the Basic Economic Activity Stimulation Plans for Out-of-employment Women were analyzed. Based on this, job training was reconstructed into four categories: 1) education and training program; 2) human resource development; 3) employment support; and 4) delivery system. For the analysis, the policy analysis methods reported by N. Gilbert and P.Terrile were used. The results showed that the current trial plans exhibited immaturity in the Tomorrow Learning Card and Successful Employment Package as well as in the specialization process, lack of a human resource development system, and the absence of governance. Several proposals should consider these when making the next-term trial plans.
Application of the New Technology for an Efficient Cadastral Re-survey Project

This study examined cadastral surveying technology regulated under the "Special Law for the cadastral surveying", and analyzed the related surveying methods currently used. Based on the analysis, this study suggested the efficient application plan future cadastral surveying projects. The new technologies analyzed were GNSS, GPS RTK, Network RTK, GPS Augmentation System, and the mobile and auto sighting TS. As a result of the analysis, this study suggests that if a receiving technology is possible for the integrated receiving of GPS/GLONASS/Galileo systems, both the accuracy of location determination could be enhanced and stable data could be obtained. The Network RTK technology may solve the constraint receiving factors of satellite information in the long term if a GPS Augmentation System is used. Finally, mobile and auto sighting TS technologies can reduce the personnel factors, but can be applied after the offset problem is overcome.
The Effect of Partner Selection on the Performance of International Strategic Alliances: The Examination of Moderating Process of Previous Experience

This study examined adomestic firm's perspective on how their choice of partner selection criteria affects the mediating variables and the performance of international strategic alliances with particular reference to previous experience as a moderating variable. The findings of this study showed that the task-related and partner-related criteria are both positively related to trust and commitment but the results concerning the partner-related criteria repudiates the existing practices that domestic firms select foreign partners based on the partners' attributes because this weaken the commitment of the partnership. This study suggests that firms should revise their partner selection criteria, which will eventually lead to the more desirable performance of international strategic alliances.
The Effect of Eco Campus Students' Environmental Consciousness and Behaviors on Eco-tourism Participation Intention

This study examined the environmental consciousness and behaviors of University students for the Eco-campus and assessed the impact of environmental consciousness and behavior on the eco-tourism participation intention. Students of Eco-Campus Silla University in Busan were evaluated using purposive sampling. The data was analyzed using the SPSS program. The results of this study showed that they had an interest in environmental problems. In addition, the environmental consciousness and behavior factors affected the eco-tourism participation intention. These results suggest that more reinforced and improved environmental education should be offered by universities to reveal the importance of the environment.
Journalists, according to the demographic characteristics of the physical symptoms and emotional exhaustion -Study of Seoul journalists-

The aim of this study was to determine the basis for smooth conduction of business for journalists by identifying the journalists demographic characteristics and the relevance of the physical symptoms and emotional exhaustion. The surveys were carried out from 2013 May 1 to August 31 and the subjects of the surveys were 124 journalists working in the editorial part of 11daily newspaper companies located in Seoul. For data analysis, frequency analysis, factor analysis, and a T-test were performed using the SPSS Win 18.0 program. A p value 0.05 was considered significant. The study showed that there were significant differences in the physical symptoms depending on sex, age, marital status, and rank. In addition, emotional exhaustion was affected by gender, age and Sunday duty cycle etc. The results of this study will provide basic data for preparing a physical and mental health promotion program for journalists by the demographic characteristics.
A Influencing Factors in Korea Adults Stroke

This study examined the health behavior and comorbidity based on a community health survey of stroke patients in 2010. The subjects were 4,449 adults over the age of 19 years, who were diagnosed by doctors and completed a community health questionnaire. The subjects demographic characteristics, health behavior and comorbidity were analyzed. Significant differences in age, education, smoking and alcohol consumption were observed. The influencing factors for comorbidity according to gender included myocardial infarction, diabetes and depression. According to the characteristics of comorbidity of the life cycle, hypertension, myocardial infarction and depression. The influencing factors related to the 19-44 year age group included Ex-smokers, 45-64 year old ex-smokers, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, atopic dermatitis, and the 75 year and over group with diabetes, hyperlipidemia, tuberculosis, and atopic dermatitis. This study suggests that health education and a health policy approach based on the relevance between stroke and comorbidity, and the health behavior according to the life cycle and gender are needed.
The Effects of Backward Walking with Rhythmic Auditory Stimulation on Gait and Balance in Patients with Stroke

This study examined the effects of backward walking with rhythmic auditory stimulation on the gait and balance of stroke patients. Twenty-one people were divided randomly into three groups; group I(n=7, forward walking), group II(n=7, backward walking), group III(n=7, backward walking by rhythmic auditory stimulation). Each group was trained for 30 minutes 5 times per week for 3 weeks, and was evaluated using a 10m walking test, time up and go test, functional reach test, stride length and step length asymmetry ratio. As a result, the pre- to post-test measures revealed a significant effect in each group on the gait speed, gait symmetry and balance(p<.05). The walking speed, gait symmetry and balance were higher in group II (p<.05) than in group I and it was the highest in group III(p<.05). The stride length was higher in group II and group III(p<.05) than in group I. In conclusion, for stroke patients, backward walking training with rhythmic auditory stimulation is effective on the gait speed, gait symmetry and balance.
A Study of Factors Influencing the Bone Mineral Density on Premenopausal Women: Using the 2011 Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey Data

The aim of this study was to determine the factors affecting the Bone Mineral Density (BMD) on Premenopausal Women. This study made use of the data from the Fifth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES V-2, 2011). The results are as follows. The factors with an effect on the bone mineral density (BMD) were the body mass index, age, and walking exercise. These factors explain 11.7% of the variance in the BMD. In addition, the bone density of people in their 20s was lower than those in their 50s. Walking exercise for less than 3 days showed that the BMD had decreased significantly. In conclusion, to maintain a normal BMD on premenopausal women, it is important to avoid an excessive diet and recognize the correct body image. These results suggest that education programs including the appropriate diet and lifestyle should be developed for women in their 20's.
Learning ability and Stress by Character type in Nursing College Students

The aim of this study was to identify the influencing factors and the relationships between the learning ability and stress according to the character type in nursing college students. A total of 209 subjects were selected by convenient sampling. The data was collected using a self-reported questionnaire from November 2 to 20, 2012. The differences in the character type, learning ability and stress according to the general characteristics were as follows. The character type was significantly different according to grade (F=6.551, p<.036). In addition, the learning ability was significantly different according to the grade (F=7.059, p<.001), religion (F=4.651, p<.001), school record (F=7.667, p<.001), economic status (F=7.700, p<.000) and methods of reducing stress (F=2.531, p<.030). Stress was significantly different according to the grade (F=7.414, p<.001), school record (F=4.776, p<.009) and cohabitation (F=9.989, p<.000). A negative correlation was observed between the character type and learning ability, and between learning ability and stress. 8.4% of the variance was observed in character type A, which was explained by the learning ability and stress. These findings may be useful for understanding the learning ability of nursing college students and developing more specific programs regarding personality and stress control.
Factors Influencing Type D Personality of Female Undergraduate Students Majoring in Nursing

The aim of this study was to clarify the variables influencing the Type D personality of female university students majoring in nursing. The subjects were 353 female students attending a nursing college, and multiple regression analysis was performed using the PASW 18.0 program. The distribution of Type D personality in the subjects was 34.8%. The factors influencing the Type D personality included the support of family and friends, satisfaction with their major, self-esteem, life stress, and resilience. The factor with the greatest influence among the variables was life stress, and the explanatory power of this model was 36.3%. Intervention programs should be developed to reduce the level of Type D personality among nursing college students to provide them with the appropriate expertise as prospective nurses.

The aim of this study was to provide the basic data for the betterment of public medical services. A questionnaire survey on the quality of the services and the intention of revisiting the hospital was administered to 330 patients in a public hospital located in Seoul. The mean satisfaction of hospital medical services was 4.11, whereas that of the revisiting intention was 3.94. The relationship between the satisfaction of medical services and the intention of revisiting was significant (t=11.335, p<.001). The intention of revisiting increased with increasing satisfaction of medical services of a hospital. Therefore, to enhance satisfaction, a hospital should identify the needs of people looking for a public hospital, increase rapport with the neighboring communities, and provide public amenities.
Usefulness analysis of radial non-cartesian trajectory in the high-resolution MRA

With the application of k-space trajectory in a different manner and analyzing the influence of noise and its direction, this study was conducted to obtain high-quality images with minimal influence of noise during an MRI examination for cerebrovascular disease, which has a low signal for imaging. To evaluate influence of the noise of different k-space trajectories, a linear Cartesian coordination trajectory and non-Cartesian coordination trajectory were applied to 38 people who had received a high-resolution MRI examination for the early detection of cerebrovascular disease. As a result, the non-Cartesian coordination trajectory showed a 43.32% lower signal of lumens in the internal carotid artery than a linear Cartesian coordination trajectory, and the noise level was also 50.19% lower in a non-Cartesian coordination trajectory. This result shows that noise occurs less in a non-Cartesian coordination trajectory than a linear Cartesian coordination trajectory, and a non-Cartesian coordination trajectory is more effective in low-signal and low-resolution MRI examination. Therefore, when performing high-resolution MRI examination with a low-signal cerebrovascular system, the use of non-Cartesian coordination k-space trajectory will minimize the influence of noise and provide good images.

Antioxidant Activity and Effects on Brain Tissues After Administering Kudzu Leaf Extract on Rats with Induced Stress Due to Laryngeal Injury

To examine the effects of voice disorders after a laryngeal injuryon the changes in stress, this study examined the effects of the changes observed in laboratory animals and on stress reduction effects, by inducing a laryngeal injury in SD type rats after administering a kudzu leaf extract, which has a sedation effect. For testing, a total of 24 rats comprising the normal group, control group and experimental groups (1 and 2 6 rats in each group) were used, and antioxidant experiments and molecular and chemical tests were conducted by administering a specified amount of kudzu teaorally once a day at a set time, 6 times per week for 5 weeks. The control group appeared to be significantly higher than the normal group (p <0.05), whereas the experimental group showed significant decreases compared to the control group (p <0.05), showing a better result than the normal group. The test results showed that the kudzu leaf extract resulted in significant changes compared to the control group. Overall, the administration of kudzu leaf extract has stress reduction effects.
Correlations Among the Sleep, Fatigue and Quality of life in patients with stroke

This research examined the correlation among sleep, fatigue and quality of life of stroke patients. Data regarding the quality of sleep, sleep satisfaction, fatigue and quality of life was collected from 37 stroke patients using questionnaires. The data was analyzed using Pearson correlation analysis. The results suggested that the quality of sleep is associated with sleep satisfaction and fatigue, and the level of sleep satisfaction is associated with the feelings of fatigue and quality of life. After the occurrence of stroke, most people experience insomnia and complain of physical and mental feelings of fatigue depending on the quality and level of satisfaction with sleep, as well as a decrease in the quality of life. Therefore, for the effective intervention of occupational therapy, it will be necessary to examine the sleep-related factors.

Morbidity, mortality, mental health and problem behavior appears to be high in adolescence, but there is no proper intervention. This quasi-experimental study examined the effects of the neurofeedback training on the general health status, mental health and problem behavior, and the brain function quotient through structured questionnaires and brain waves of 11 high school students (experimental group 5, control group 6). The study was conducted at I high school in Seoul from September to December, 2012. The subjects participated in the neurofeedback training twice a week for a total of 20 sessions by trained researcher. The data was analyzed using paired t-test or Wilcoxon signed rank test depending on the normality using SPSS 20.0. Significant improvement was observed in the emotion quotient and stress resistance quotient (left, right) among the brain function quotient, but not in the general health status, mental health and problem behavior.
The Relationship between BMI, Weight Perception and Depression-like Symptoms in Korean Middle School Students

The aim of this study was to determine the association between the Body Mass Index (BMI), weight perception and depression-like symptoms in Korean middle school students. The data was obtained from the 2012 Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey. The subjects were 37,297 students living in the community. Adjusting for covariates (sex, school year, home economics, city-type, school record, self-reported happiness, self-reported health status, suicidal thinking, smoking, alcohol consumption), the self-reported obesity (OR=1.14, 95% CI: 1.06-1.22) and self-reported underweight (OR=1.11, 95% CI: 1.03-1.20), compared to the self-reported healthy weight, were more likely to have depression-like symptoms. On the other hand, the BMI-based weight was not associated independently with depression-like symptoms. These findings suggest that weight perception is significantly associated with depression-like symptoms.
Formulation of Liquid Choline Alphoscerate as a Solid Dosage Form

The aim of this study was to prepare and evaluate tablets containing liquid choline alphoscerate, which is capable of being formulated as a solid dosage form by the adsorption of magnesium aluminum silicate. The tablets were prepared with various absorbent to choine alphoscerate ratios. The physical properties and the dissolution rate were investigated. Considering the tabletting and dissolution rate, the formula scontaining 50-75% absorbent were adequate in the tested formulations. The 62.5% absorbent formula showed superior results with the tests of hardness, friability, disintegration time, and the ratio of dissolution area under the curve. Overall, magnesium aluminum silicate can be an alternative additive to a liquid drug.
The Study of Sexual Behavior of the Middle School Students

The aims of this study were to identify the significant predictors of the sexual behavior of middle school students. The subjects consisted of 603 middle school students (male 344, female 259). The data was collected through self-report questionnaires, which were constructed to include the attitudes to sexual behavior, sexual permissiveness, perceived behavioral control, sexual behavioral intention, father's child-rearing attitudes, mother's child-rearing attitudes, friends' attitudes to sex, exposure to pornography, and sexual behavior. The data was analyzed using the SPSS 19.0 program. The significant predictors of sexual behavior of middle school students that explained 51.0% of the variance in sexual behavior were the friends' attitudes to sex, alcohol drinking experience, experience of sexual abuse, sexual permissiveness, exposure to pornography, sexual behavioral intention, perceived behavioral control, father's child-rearing attitudes, and mother's child-rearing attitudes. These findings suggest that the approach to a sexual education promotion program for middle school students should consider multisystemic predictors.
Change in Pulpal Blood Flow of Heat-induced Neurogenic Inflammation in Feline Dental Plup

This study examined the involvement of histamine in heat-induced changes in pulpal blood flow(PBF) to determine the mechanism of neurogenic inflammation in feline dental pulp. The experiments were carried out in 10 felines anesthetized with sodium pentobartial and histamine injected into the dental pulp through the external carotid artery. The change in the pulpal PBF was measured using a laser Doppler flowmeter(Periflux 4001, Stockholm, Sweden). The probe of laser Doppler flowmeter was placed on the buccal surface of the ipsilateral canine teeth. Heat was applied to the tooth using a heat stimulator controlled script file with an input/output device. The application of heat (
) induced a significant increase in PBF. The application of histamine(

) resulted in an increase in PBF. Therefore, the results of the present study showed that heat and histamine are capable of vasoconstriction caused by neurogenic inflammation in feline dental pulp. In addition, neurogenic inflammation plays an active role in modulating the microcirculation of the dental pulp.
Analysis of setup error at rectal cancer radiotherapy technique

Radiotherapy of rectal cancer requires a stabilized image but the movement of patients is almost unavoidable in radiotherapy. In this study, the setup error using the radiation treatment technique was compared according to the loading time and BMI(Body Mass Index) for 14 patients with rectal cancer. In addition, the variation of the dose by the average setup error was compared. Therefore, the technique of a selective standard was established. As a result, 3DCRT(3-Dimensional Radiation Therapy) and VMAT(Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy) showed a similar time and error. In comparison, IMRT(Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy) increased the time two fold and the error four fold. In BMI, a more pyknic patient showed a larger error for all techniques. Regarding the dose, IMRT and VMAT increased much more than 3DCRT in the average error at the small bowel. Therefore, 3DCRT of the short time will be applied to pyknic rectal cancer. Moreover, VMAT selects than IMRT in the overexposure of the small bowel.
Risk Factors for Recurrent Falls Among Community-dwelling Elderly in Rural Areas

This study examined the factors associated with recurrent falls among the community-dwelling elderly. The participants were 329 community-dwelling elderly. The data was collected from February 5, 2010 to February 14, 2010. Over the past 1 year, 14.3% of the 329 participants fall once, and 4.0% experienced recurrent falls. There was a significant difference among the non fallers, single faller and recurrent fallers with regard to the static balance(F=5.86, p=.003), dynamic balance(F=24.32, p<.001), risk of fall(F=9.94, p<.001) and compliance of prevention behavior related to falls(F=3.09, p=.047). The analysis results for the correlation between variables showed that the number of falls had a negative effect on the knee flexors muscular strength(r=-.15, p=.008), static balance(r=-.16, p=.004) and compliance of prevention behavior related to falls(r=-.12, p=.030) and a positive affect for the dynamic balance(r=.26, p<.001), depression(r=.13, p=.019) and risk of falls(r=.30, p<.001). The variables explained 36.0% of the variants in the occurrence of recurrent falls. Therefore, an effective recurrent fall prevention program should focus on multiple risk factor intervention.
The Effects of a Smoking Cessation Program on Stress and Emotional Status of the Korean Male Office Workers

This study examined the effects of a non-smoking program according to the stress and emotional condition of male office workers. As research subjects, 106 smokers at C company who participated in the campaign of "No Second-Hand Smoking and No Cigarette Smoke at Work" from April 25, 2011 to December, 2011 for 8 months were enrolled in this study. Apreliminary survey of the general characteristics, motivation to quit smoking, emotional condition, behavior to cope with stress, stress in life, hope, and the emotional variables of job satisfaction in the research subjects was carried out. The study undertook a pre-and-post effect analysis of the non-smoking program only with those who succeeded in quitting smoking. In terms of the general characteristics of the subjects, the success rate of quitting smoking was higher in those in their thirties and above and those who were married. No significant difference in the emotional variables was observed between those who were not successful and those who were. These results suggest that the motives for stopping smoking and effective dealing with stress or anxiety is important for male office workers to succeed in stopping smoking, based on which smoking cessation programs should be developed. In addition, the message of a smoking cessation campaign should be designed specifically for each target audience, effectively emphasizing the emotional aspects of each target group.
Heart rate variability of students in hospital clinical practice by MBTI character types

This study examined the relationship between the MBTI character types and heart rate variability. The subjects were 25 students in the department of emergency medical technology in C city, Chungnam, Korea. The heart rate variability was measured under two conditions: a stable state, and in the second week and fourth week in clinical practice. The period of the heart rate variability measurements was from Jun. 21, 2013 to Jul. 26, 2013.The changes in the HRV at the stable state and during clinical practice depending on the MBTI character types, and the HRV at the stable state and during clinical practice according to the distribution chart of four character types showed a significant difference in the nHF and standard deviation of all R-R intervals (SDNN). In the changes in the HRV at the stable state and during clinical practice depending on the preference distribution chart of each indicator, the T-F group and J-P group in the nLF, T-F group and J-P group in the nHF, S-N group in the standard deviation of all R-R intervals (SDNN) and the J-P group in the mHR showed a significant difference.

These results should be reflected in an evaluation and development of the curriculum and learning method.

This study evaluated dental health care providers to identify strategic management implications for providing improved dental health dental health care services to consumers. For this purpose, adental health care satisfaction survey was conducted on 1,156 patients (more than 20 years of age) at a dental clinic follow-up visit in a small-town dentist clinic Gyeongsangbuk-do province from August 1, 2013 to September 13, 2013. The dental health service value satisfaction in the gender and age (p<.05), monthly income (p<.001), dental health service quality satisfaction indentists according to gender (p<.05), education (p<.01), monthly income (p<.001), word-of-mouth effect of satisfaction job (p<.05), age and monthly income (p<.001) were investigated. Acorrelation was observed between the variables of the dental health services dental health services quality sub areas: certainty, reliability, and materiality. The interrelation between the dental health service showed the value of the variable(p<.000). The dental health services, routes elected, customer satisfaction with the dentist, reason for choosing a dentist, dental doctor reused and word-of-mouth effect of the satisfaction variable and the association with the volume(+) showed a correlation. The establishment new hospital management strategies can improve the quality of health care services to the patients and provide high-quality health care services.
Evaluation of Adaption and Intent to Use Smartphone Application for Nursing Process of Nursing Student

This study examined the intention to use a nursing process application on a smart phone by nursing students who undertake clinical practices, and evaluated the application effect of this program. As research subjects, the study assessed juniors in the college of nursing in Daegu, who had undertaken field training in adult nursing in surgical wards from September 2012 to September 2013. The results showed that the intention to use nursing process application has a significant relationship with effort expectancy, social influence, and self-efficacy. In addition, the nursing process application applied to the research subjects has the largest list of diagnoses, interventions and outcomes regarding acute pain. In addition, the satisfaction with the use of the program was 4.35 points. Through this study, the application of the nursing process presents more opportunities for its use and training in the clinical practice field, and measures that can be applied easily regarding its utilization should be provided.
Experimental study for the irradiation effect of x-ray on the hatching process of fertilized eggs

This study examined the irradiation effect of high energy x-rays on the hatching process of fertilized eggs, particularly with regard to malformation and blood cells change. The experimental groups were five day old fertilized eggs irradiated with x rays at doses of 5, 7.5, 10 Gyusing alinear accelerator. The control group was not irradiated. After three weeks, hatched chicks were sacrificed and examined for blood sampling. The survival rate of the x-ray irradiated groups were significantly lower than that of the control group (46.7vs 80%). The malformation rate of the experimental groups was60%, whereas no congenital malformations were observed in the control group. The experimental groups had a significantly higher malformation rate. The types of malformation were left wing defect, proptosis, microcephaly, cervical spine, and feet anomaly. The incidence of malformation increased with increasing radiation dose. The white blood cell count of control group and eachexperimental groups (5 and 7.5 Gy) were 87.64, 100.76 and 81.42 (
), respectively. X-ray irradiation of 5 day old chick embryos increased the rate of death and malformation significantly.The malformations were estimated to have occurred by chromosomal abnormalities. Further genetic studies will be needed to confirm the correlation between high energy X-rays and the cause of malformations.

The indoor areas for the commercial use of automatic monitoring systems of mobile robot localization improves the cognitive abilities and the needs of the environment with this emerging and existing mobile robot localization, and object recognition methods commonly around its great sensor are leveraged. On the other hand, there is a difficulty with a problem-solving self-location estimation in indoor mobile robots using only the sensors of the robot. Therefore, in this paper, a self-position estimation method for an enhanced and effective mobile robot is proposed using a marker and CCTV video that is already installed in the building. In particular, after recognizing a square mobile robot and the object from the input image, and the vertices were confirmed, the feature points of the marker were found, and marker recognition was then performed. First, a self-position estimation of the mobile robot was performed according to the relationship of the image marker and a coordinate transformation was performed. In particular, the estimation was converted to an absolute coordinate value based on CCTV information, such as robots and obstacles. The study results can be used to make a convenient self-position estimation of the robot in the indoor areas to verify the self-position estimation method of the mobile robot. In addition, experimental operation was performed based on the actual robot system.
A Field test of an Integrated Electronic Block System for verification of the suitability

For trains to run safely and quickly, the train should always follow the preceding train at a proper spacing. For this purpose, a certain distance between the stations is set for each block section. For the safe operation of trains in one block section, only one train service for an automatic block system is needed. The existing block system is composed an ABS, which is a linked track circuit and line sideway system through the interlocking system. The interlocking system is being replaced with a domestic electronic interlocking system. On the other hand, the block system still uses the relay format of an analog system, and is independently installed of the line sideway systems. Therefore, the existing block system has many problems in terms of construction and maintenance. In addition, the existing domestic line is used for ABS and LEU , which is installed separately, despite the train being controlled by the information of the same signal at the same location. This is not efficient in terms of each product price and the maintenance costs. This paper introduces an integrated electronic block system and the field test results. The field test was carried out through a periodic inspection performed eight times from January to late August.

In this paper, an integrated control system is proposed for automatic control and remote monitoring of pipeline type UV sterilizer. The proposed system can control the cleaning wiper in the sterilizer with various cleaning motions, and periodically check the contamination level of the UV lamps with the UV power sensors. Therefore, sterilizer repair and maintenance can be more effectively done. In addition, the control system based on the open-source processor can communicate with external smart devices via Bluetooth, and thus wirelessly exchange control commands and sensor data. Furthermore, the system is able to flexibly cope with changes of cleaning motions and sensors since its firmware can be wirelessly upgraded by using the smart device. Consequently, the proposed system is suitable to construct a smart sewage treatment system in small towns.

Analysis of Seawater Intake System using the RNG k-𝜖 Algorithm

Seawater intake systems have significant problems due to seawater pollution, suspended solids, unstable intake and maintenance etc. An underground type seawater intake system was newly developed to overcome the existing weaknesses and was facilitated in Gyukpo port. In this study, to check the performance of the new system, the samples for water quality and the 3-D numerical modeling test were conducted. The five times test included the COD, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, pH, and suspended solid for the intake system. The analyses show that the COD, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, PH showedminor changes before and after. On the other hand, the change in suspended solids was significant and water was purified below 5 mg/l, first level fisheries water, after. The numerical model adopted the RNG
algorithm and the CFX model based on the finite volume method. The porosity algorithm was used to reproduce filtered-sand, outer diameter, and thickness. The numerical results showed that the double pipe is advantageous in that it provides a uniform pressure between the inner and outer pipe for the flow to be stable. In addition, the use of multiple intake pipes did not interfere with the discharge reduction of 0.98 at the both intake pipes compared with the central intake pipe.

This research is conducted to investigate musculoskeletal diseases' that can be developed in paramedics body whose are in charge of emergency situations before they arrive at the hospital. The data were collected from 216 of paramedics from July 2, 2012 to July 31, 2012. As a result, 57.9% of participants have already felt the subjective symptoms of the muscular skeletal diseases, and 47.2% of them felt the pain on their waists and hips. These pains are highly related to their working situations. In the aspects of the muscuoskeletal diseases' symptoms, general characteristics, gender (t=16.579, p=.000), age (t=102.344, p=.000), education (t=5.363, p=.027), drinking (t=6.999, p=.030), and smoking (t=6.266, p=.009), have significance differences. Professional characteristics, career (t=67.684, p=.000), passengers of the ambulance (t=7.717, p=.004), qualification or license (t=25.480, p=.000), and position (t=74.615, p=.000), have also significance differences.

As the Internet has grown, energy consumption and GHG emission from internet use have become issues in recent years. On the other hand, such interest in greening the Internet has focused on edge devices, and there is a lack of deeper related studies of the energy wasted by excessive network-connectivity and the savings potential in wired network equipment. This study presents the background and reasonability of studies on the energy efficiency of wired networks in terms of the environment, economy and energy resources. The energy consumption and savings potential of network equipment were also estimated and the major factors of energy consumption was analyzed based on the data, and future studies for the Internet are presented.

This paper reports the direct controller for nonlinear plants using a neural network. The controller was composed of an approximate controller and a neural network auxiliary controller. The approximate controller provides rough control and the neural network controller gives the complementary signal to further reduce the output tracking error. This method does not place too much restriction on the type of nonlinear plant to be controlled. In this method, a RBF neural network was trained and the system showed stable performance for the inputs it has been trained for. The simulation results showed that it was quite effective and could realize satisfactory control of the nonlinear system.

Recently, BIM has attracted attention as a technology to improve the construction productivity. The BIM standards to be applied to the BIM project are necessary for using or connecting the current 2D-based drawing standards. To develop the standard for BIM-based QTO and cost, this paper focused on using QDBEx, which was applied to road project cost management and connecting QDBEx with IFC, which is the BIM data delivery format. The IFC schema was evaluated to determine if it is possible to use the converts to the QDBEx XML file. As a result, 66% of the whole was available to connect directly, and 17% was available to connect through the processing of instance. The remaining 17% was evaluated to determine if it was available to connect. In the future, improvements in the schema will be suggested based on these results.

This paper presents a study on the development of a web-based system for the road occupation permit information management. For the development of this system, the survey of information system related to a road occupation permit, an analysis of road occupation business process, the definition of the road occupation permit data, the development of the system, and the application of the system to the work-related to road occupation permit were conducted consecutively. In an analysis of the road occupation business process, the statutes, such as the road act were investigated, work examples of the road management agent were reviewed, and a survey targeting staff and citizens was carried out. The information classification code to represent the attributes of the data was developed to manage the information in each road occupation permit process, and the metadata was defined considering the hierarchy relationship of the information. The road occupation and access system was developed based on the information classification code and metadata to reflect the user requirements. The System was applied to the Regional Construction and Management Administration and Branch Office belonging to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Affairs. By replacing the business process based on paper documents to the business process based on the information system, it is expected that the service of the civil petition be upgraded and the business process of the road occupation permit be reformed.

The result can be summarized as follows. First, the following periodically changing characteristics were examined:roof form(gambrel/hipped-flat-gable), structure of roof and wall(wood-framed-cement masonry-RC-Light iron framed), roof material(thatched-tiled-slate-cement/steel sheet-asphalt/sandwich panel/mortar water-proofing), wall material(clay plaster/lime plastered-dressing tile/bricks-painting on the cement plastering-native stone dressing/siding/tile), fence material(masonry of stone and cement bricks), and courtyard materials(clay and concrete). Secondly, the regionally changing characteristics of those elements, rural housing structure, roof form, roof structure material, wall finishing material, fence and courtyard material in the outer space, differed according to the location of rural housing, i.e.north, middle, south region. The changing characteristics of both the roof structure and wall structure are similar to those of the three regions.

Arcology (architecture plus ecology) is a new term that was coined by the visionary architect, Paolo Soleri (1919-2013), and aims to provide a useful solution for a sustainable dense urban environment. Inspired by the environmental and humanistic crisis in the 1970s, he continuously promoted ideal future city forms with arcology in mind. Arcosanti is one of the many arcologies he proposed and is the only one that was constructed. This paper constructs arcology as a sustainable architectural theory with Arcosanti as a verifiable case study. Despite the fact that arcosanti is only partially built, and far from completion, it still possesses some of the values that Soleri's vision may offer to future generations.
Local Buckling Behaviors of Flat-Type Stiffeners in Stiffened Plate System

Elastic and nonlinear ultimate strength analyses were conducted to examine the effects of the stiffness and slenderness of flat-type stiffeners on ultimate in-plane strengths of a stiffened plate system. Although it is not feasible to consider local buckling in the stiffeners in elastic analysis, it was confirmed that the in-plane strengths of the stiffened plate system can be achieved by antisymmetric buckling mode when a certain level of stiffness in the stiffeners is provided. Nonlinear ultimate strength analysis, in which initial imperfection and residual stress are incorporated, showed that the ultimate strengths are sensitively affected by the mode shapes for initial imperfections. The slenderness limit for flat-type stiffeners in KHBDC (Korean Highway Bridge Design Code) was evaluated as conservative compared to the analysis results.

A fish-bone girder pier affects torsion severely because of the one girder system. This study was performed to develop an analytical model to analyze and design a fish-bone girder pier properly. This model consisted of a beam element with 7-degrees of freedom considering the warping rigidity. Several beam-column connection conditions were considered. The static load test was performed using a real size specimen. The validity of this model was tested by a comparison of the analytical results with the experimental results. This analytical model is useful for designing the bolt connection of a Spine girder.
A Study on Aggregate Mix Design of Dumbbell-shape Fiber Reinforced Asphalt Concrete Mixture using Bailey Method

The aim of this study was to develop a fiber-reinforced asphalt mixture that was designed to do the following: 1) address fatigue cracks, which is a major source of damage; and 2) increase the rutting resistance. This study reports the effects of the aggregate mixture design that incorporates a dumbbell-shaped fiber. An experiment was carried out to measure the unit weights and unit weight ratios between the mixture that was compacted and the one that was not. A method to substitute a specific aggregate mixture with the dumbbell-shaped fiber was confirmed using the volume concept according to the Bailey method. The results showed that the weight of the PCS aggregate mixture that need to be replaced was 11.88g when a 0.3% reinforcing fiber was added to the 1950g mixture.
The Characteristics of Curvature Ductility Factor of Reinforced Concrete Hollow Section Beams

In highly elevated piers and long span beams, a hollow section is often used to reduce the self-weight and increase the flexural rigidity of members. Numerical analysis was conducted to obtain the moment-curvature curves and curvature ductility factor for the RC hollow section beams under a range of hollow portion sizes and reinforcement conditions in the upper flange and web. The curvature ductility factor was constantly maintained until the hollow portion size(
) was less than or equal to 0.5. The curvature ductility factor decreased sharply if (
) was 0.7 or more. The curvature ductility factor of the beam decreased if reinforcement was provided in the web of the RC hollow section beam. To obtain the same level of the ductility factor as the singly reinforced section, the reinforcement should be provided in the upper flange as much as the web reinforcement.
Application Method of Remote Site Monitoring in Public Road Construction Projects

The public road construction projects awarded by the regional construction and management office, which is an affiliate of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, are managed by construction supervision officers. These officials frequently visit a large number of construction sites to conduct inspections and supervision tasks. Therefore, the site management efficiency is essential in terms of the time and money spent in travelling to the sites. The introduction of a site monitoring management system is considered necessary to minimize the number of site visits and enable remote monitoring of the construction progress to enhance the business efficiency of the construction supervision officers. In this study, a remote site monitoring system was constructed using web cameras for public road construction works. The trial applications were implemented by selecting ten constructions sites. The effectiveness of the system was analyzed to assess its applicability. In an assessment of the applicability of the verification results, remote site monitoring showed cost savings of approximately 35% compared to the existing site management. The guidelines for applying the site monitoring management system were provided, the introduction plan was investigated, and the improvement method was presented. The results showed that the system is likely to minimize the unnecessary site visits, remove the risk factors at vulnerable areas in the sites beforehand, and prevent a range of disasters and accidents. In addition, the quality of the infrastructures is likely to improve through the prevention of accidents and the elimination of substandard and faulty construction work.
The estimation of river discharge by using the mean velocity equation in a unsteady condition

As the average indicator for amount of water flowing in any cross section of a river, the mean discharge has been reported to be a very important factor for examining water circle constructions in a river basin, the design and construction of a hydraulic structure, and water front area use and management. The stage-discharge curve based on discharge and stage data measured in a normal season were basically derived. Using this derivation, the necessary discharge data was obtained. The values produced in this manner corresponded to the measured data in a uniform flow state well, but showed limited accuracy in a flood season (unsteady flow). In the present paper, the mean velocity in unsteady flow conditions, which exhibited loop form properties, was estimated using the new mean velocity formula derived from Chiu's 2-D velocity. The results of RMSE and Polar graph analyses showed that the proposed equation exhibited approximately nineteen times the accuracy compared to the Manning and Chezy equations.
Performance Evaluation of Recycled Aggregate Concrete Block Reinforced with GFRP

Precast concrete blocks are used mainly for score protection, slope protection and riverbed structure protection, etc. Because these concrete blocks are exposed to water or wetting environments, the steel rebar used as reinforcements in concrete blocks can corrode easily. Corrosion of the steel rebar tends to reduce the performance and service life of the concrete blocks. In this study, Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer(GFRP) rebar, which does not corrode, was applied instead of a steel rebar to prevent performance degradation of the blocks. Recycled concrete aggregate and high early strength cement(HESC) were used in the concrete mix for field applicability. The experiment results showed that the workability and form removal strength of the recycled aggregate concrete using HESC showed comparable results to normal concrete and the compressive strength at 28 days increased by about 18% compared to normal concrete. The load resistance capacity of the recycled aggregate concrete blocks reinforced with a GFRP rebar increased by approximately 10~30% compared to common concrete block.

Various modified SCR catalysts were prepared and tested to improve the strength of catalysts for use under severe conditions. The SCR catalysts were modified with a binder and dispersion agent, and tested at the fixed bed reactor. FT-IR and
-TPR were used to analyze the degree of hydrogen use and ammonia adsorption by the modified catalysts. In the case of the SCR catalysts coated with 2.3g of the binder, 4.7g of ethanol, and 0.1g of dispersion agent, the strength of catalyst was increased by approximately 12%. This study reset the Examination Criteria for Energy Use Plan by the project sector so that the Consultation about Energy Use Plan would play an effective role in reaching the National Energy Policy Issues, and to prevent complaints from the superintendent of the project & agent engaged in the project. Carbon dioxide should be removed to increase the productivity of dimethyl ether(DME) from the DME manufacturing process. In this study, carbon dioxide can be removed using a physical absorbent through a solvent absorption method and membrane separation method. After performing the simulation for the carbon dioxide removal process, the energy consumption of the processes was compared. Methanol was used as a physical absorbent for the rectisol process, dimethyl ethers of polyethylene glycol for the Selexol process and N-methyl pyrrolidone for the Purisol process. By performing the simulation for each process, the energy consumption was compared. The Purisol process had the lowest energy consumption, followed in order by the Selexol process, Rectisol process and Membrane process. Therefore, the Purisol process was the most suitable method for the carbon dioxide process in the DME manufacturing process.

This study is expected to provide background data for establishing mitigation measures for malodor and for comparing complex odor criteria. The impact of malodor at the afflicted locations was analyzed using Industrial Source Complex Short Term 3 (ISCST3) model, which was recommended by the EPA. The Odor Emission Rates (ODR) for piglets and hogs were predicted based on the average, minimum, and maximum emission rates as classification. The forecasting result of the complex odor modelling of pigsty showed that tolerance limit was exceeded at an adjacent administration building, but tolerance limit was not surpassed at an afflicted location which was within 185m from the pigsty. The ISCST3 modelling of the satisfactory ODR for tolerance limit was accomplished at the administration building. From the prediction of this modelling, maximum emission rates based on 1hr at administration building were 10.59~52.93, 19.05~31.76, and 10.59
at emission rates of 50%, 30%, and 10%. This emission rate was slightly higher than the tolerance limit of 10.00
. However, it was inferred that the tolerance limit could be satisfied if the emission rate of 10% was controlled.

This study examined the current and future Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) control device markets and analyzed the recent studies on indoor air pollutantr emoval to develop a new technology for fine dust control. Currently, the mechanical filter technique occupies the bulk of the IAQ control market but the electronic technique is emerging as an alternative to control fine dust efficiently. Among the gaseous VOCs and fine dust particles contaminating the indoor air quality, fine dust particles are more problematic because they threaten human health by penetrating deep into the body and producing secondary contaminants by chemical reaction with VOCs. The electronic IAQ control device using dielectrophoretic and electrostatic forces is a good option for public spaces where many people pass, and at the same time, it needs to consider temperature, humidity, and the particle properties of specific areas to highlight the control efficiency. Electronic-related technology is expected to be used widely in many public/private spaces wherever a dust-free environment is required.
