Derivation of predicting regression equations of bonding thickness and deflection of glass edge considering the interaction effects between the parameters

The thickness and deflection of melting parts of the glass edge reach the biggest effect on the intensity and thermal insulation performance. During the sealing process using a hydrogen mixed gas torch, the thickness and the deflection effect of the edge part are affected by process parameters. In order to analyze the correlative relationship of the thickness prediction and the deflection of the edge part according to the process parameters, data was obtained by conducting sealing experiments. The main effects and interaction effects of process parameters for the thickness and the shape of the glass edge parts were analyzed through the design of experiment. A mathematical experiment equation that can predict the thickness and deflection of the edge part according to the process parameters was developed by conducting multiple regression equations.

Small size ice-cream maker has two evaporators having different evaporating temperatures of
. In such case, ice-cream maker system design becomes complicated because multiple capillary tubes affects one another. In this study, performance analysis was conducted for the soft ice-cream maker having two evaporators operating at different temperatures. The compressor was analyzed using efficiency models, the capillary tube was modeled assuming one-dimensional flow, the condenser and the evaporators were modeld based on UA-LMTD method. Evaluation of Heat Release Performance of Swaged- and Extruded-type Heat Sink Used in Industrial Inverter

In this experiment, we investigated the performance of two types of heat sink, swaged- and extruded-type, used in the inverter of industrial electricity generator. The swaged-type heat sink has 62 fins, and the extruded-type has 38 fins having the same dimension as that of the swaged-type. But the extruded-type heat sink maintains the same heat transfer area by the laterally waved surface which has 1 mm in radius. As a result, the swaged- and extruded-type heat sinks released 70.7% and 63.8% of the heat incoming to the heat sink, respectively. The other incoming heat were naturally convected and radiated to the ambient. In spite of 40% decrease in number of fins, the heat release performance of the extruded-type heat sink was lowered only 6.9% than that of the swaged-type. We believe that, this shows the increment of effective heat transfer area by the laterally waved surface of fins and the better heat transfer property of the extruded-type heat sink.
Analysis of Photosynthetic Photon Flux by Prototype of Rotational Lighting System for Plant Factory

Rotational lighting system for plant factory is the way to decrease high installation cost of the existing lighting system. A few of LEDs are used at the rotational lighting system in comparison with the existing lighting system to supply artificial lights to crops. At rotational lighting system, the manufacturing cost becomes very low by comparing with the existing lighting system. In this paper, the photosynthetic photon flux (PPF) is investigated in order that plants may grow. And PPF is analyzed with the rotational speed of blade and LED output by using the rotational lighting system prototype and quantum sensor. It is confirmed that constant PPF value of
is supplied with the blade rotation speed of 20rpm and LED output of IN 73%, CENTER 37% and OUT 50%. By comparing with the lighting system of existing plant factory, there is no difficulty to supply the light needed to grow plants by rotating a few of LEDs.
Effect of Welding Parameters on Bead Shape, Microstructure and Hardness of Galvanized Steel Pipe Welds with GMAW

The present study was carried out to investigate the effects of welding parameters such as current, voltage and shielding gases on the bead shape, microstructures and hardness. It was confirmed that bead height was lowered and bead depth was increased with increasing voltages while height, depth and width of beads increased with welding currents. The hardness of weld metals with Ar+10%
was low due to the formation of grain boundary and polygonal ferrites while that of weld metals with Ar+2%
was high due to the presence of acicular, bainitic and sideplate ferrites.

In this study, mechanical property on the composite material of aluminum foam core is investigated by simulation analysis. Impact energies such as 50J, 70J, and 100J are applied to the specimen model. The maximum load occurs at 3.4ms for 50J, 3.2ms for 70J, and 3.2ms for 100J respectively. The striker penetrates the upper face sheet, causing the core to be damaged at 50J test but the lower face sheet remains intact with no damage. It results in occurring with the energy of 52 J. At 70J test, it penetrates the upper face sheet and penetrated the core. And the striker causes the lower face sheet with damage. And it results in occurring with the energy of 65 J. Finally at 100J test, the striker penetrated both the upper face sheet and core and even the lower face sheet. The load becomes maximum at the time when striker penetrates through the upper plate and it rapidly reduced. And then the load increases rapidly when reaching the lower face sheet. And it decreases again. It results in occurring with the energy of 95 J.
A Study on the Approximate model of the Flow rate Characteristics in External Gear pump for EHPS

EHPS(Electro-Hydraulic Power Steering) is a system to generate the steering operation force from the electric motor connected directly to the oil pump. To optimize the manufacturing cost and efficiency of the performance of the steering system is very important. Until now, the development of the hydraulic system is implemented by the field test which needs a significant time and cost. In this paper, flow measurement of an external gear pump is performed. Then using the experimental results, an approximate model expressed by flow rate characteristics is proposed to calculate the discharge flow rate. Proposed approximate model is verified by comparing with the experimental data and AMESim results. As the experimental data and AMESim results agree well, the approximate model data can be used as an alternative to highly cost experimental procedure.

This study proposes an structure that fixes the shielding device to two parts of the board by its two arranged clips. Said structure evenly distributes its loading/unloading load of the board and maintains the flatness of soldering area of the board. The structure of this study comprises a base part fixed to a printed circuit board and a clip part fixing a side wall of a shield can to the board, wherein the clip part is constituted with two clips fixable to two part of the shield can. Also, the structure of this study comprises a dented groove in order to easily solder the base part of clips and the printed circuit board. A mechanism is established and a design parameter was determined by a structure analysis and a vibration mode analysis. A single purpose machine for the production of the product was developed, the final workpiece was produced and the measuring-data and the computered-data was compared and reviewed.

This study aims to develop the control system of vehicle height and apply this developed system to common passenger car. The vibration characteristics to affect ride comfort are examined through driving tests. The hydraulic control system of vehicle height is designed by Macpherson type used most commonly at current passenger car. Tests in this study are operated by the vehicle installed with genuine suspension system of Macpherson type, tuning suspension system and hydraulic control system of vehicle height. As vibration characteristics transmitted to vehicle become random types values of PSD(Power Spectrum Density) are compared.
A Study on Optimization of Vacuum Glazing Encapsulating Process using Frit inside a Vacuum Chamber

In houses that use heating and cooling system, most of heat loss occurs through the windows, so that low-E glass, double-layered glass, and vacuum glazing are used to minimize the heat loss. In this paper, an encapsulating process that is a final process in manufacturing the vacuum glazing has been studied, and bonding in a vacuum chamber rather than atmospheric bonding was considered. Performance Improvement Technology on a Continuous Heating Heat Pump at Frost Condition

Heat pumps come into wide use because high energy efficiency can be obtained and diverse heat sources like geothermal heat, waste heat and air are available. It is necessary for an air source heat pump to defrost in order to remove frost on the surfaces of an outdoor heat exchanger. It is impossible for continuous heating if reverse cycle operation is used as defrosting method, furthermore it causes the degradation of COP. In this study an fin-tube heat exchanger with three rows was used as an outdoor coil. One row among three rows of the heat exchanger was used like a condenser in order to remove frost on it, the others were used as evaporator to accomplish continuous heating. Each row was switched in order from a condenser to an evaporator in specified time interval. Ice-slurry Generation of Ice Thermal Energy Storage System using Ultrasonic Vibration

Ice slurry that is a mixture of fine ice crystals and liquid water is a widely used working fluid in the ice thermal energy storage system due to its flowability and large latent heat of fusion. Generally ice slurry is made from supercooled water. But the excessive supercooling causes the water to freeze even worse to block the pipe. Additionally large degree of supercooling of water degrades the efficiency of the ice thermal energy storage system. Therefore the effective method to control the phase change from supercooled water to ice slurry is needed. In this paper we experimentally studied a novel method to generate the ice slurry from the supercooled water using the ultrasonic vibration. It was found that the cavitation impact of supercooled water by ultrasonic vibration can help the generation of ice slurry.

A Study on the Thermo-Flow Analysis of Air Conditioning Electric Compressor Motor System for Hybrid Electric Vehicles

The heat generated at the motor and inverter inside the electric compressor of inverter built-in type is mainly cooled by refrigerant and generally, there is not a thermal problem. However, the close relation of heat transfer from the motor and inverter parts to the compression part affects on compressor efficiency. Also, according to the surrounding environment and system operation condition, the increased temperature of the motor and inverter can affect the power density of the motor system, and especially, the inverter may be prevented to operate by the temperature limits. In this study, we performed thermo-flow analysis of electric compressor motor system, and investigated the heat dissipation enhancement of the motor and inverter. The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of peer relation improvement program on peer relation in children of multi-cultural families. To test of the effectiveness of the program, this study employed pretest-posttest control group design. Total 18 multi-cultural families` children have completed the program, 9 children were in experimental group, whereas 9 ones belonged to control group, the date were analyzed by Wilcoxon singed rank test and Mann-Whitney U test. As the result, The peer relation improvement program was verified to effect on children` peer relation Improvement The limitations of the study were discussed, as well as the application of the study results and recommendations for additional exploratory research.
The Comparative Analysis for Priority Order on the Characteristics of Tourism Resources Development Plan between South and North Korea

The purpose of this study is to identify the priorities with respect to the characteristics of tourism resources development plan between the South and the North Korea. Through a preliminary investigation 287 lists of questions were distributed from May 14, 2012 to December 5, 2012 and from among them 252 lists were used. Expert Choice 11.5 was used to do pairwise comparisons and priorities assessment. Based upon the results of empirical analysis, the priority order sets of the domain of tourism resources development plan should be related to the development contents, the development objects, the development patterns, and the development subjects in the South Korea. Those should be related to the development subjects, the development objects, the development contents, and the development patterns in the North Korea.
A Weighted Mean Squared Error Approach to Multiple Response Surface Optimization

Multiple response surface optimization (MRSO) aims at finding a setting of input variables which simultaneously optimizes multiple responses. The minimization of mean squared error (MSE), which consists of the squared bias and variance terms, is an effective way to consider the location and dispersion effects of the responses in MRSO. This approach basically assumes that both the terms have an equal weight. However, they need to be weighted differently depending on a problem situation, for example, in case that they are not of the same importance. This paper proposes to use the weighted MSE (WMSE) criterion instead of the MSE criterion in MRSO to consider an unequal weight situation.
The Effects of Emotional Intelligence on Undergraduate Students` Personal Agency Beliefs

This study purposed to examine how emotional intelligence affect undergraduate students` personal agency beliefs. For the purpose, this study conducted a questionnaire survey of 446 undergraduate students in metropolitan area. Data were analyzed by t-test, Pearson`s correlation, correlation analysis, and linear regression analysis. The results were as follows. The regulation of emotion of emotional intelligence and capability beliefs of personal agency beliefs were significantly different according to sex and others` emotion appraisal of emotional intelligence and capability beliefs of personal agency beliefs were significantly different according to school level. Also, the others` emotion appraisal of emotional intelligence and capability beliefs of personal agency beliefs were significantly different according to religion existence. There was a correlation between the emotional intelligence and personal agency beliefs. The others` emotion appraisal, regulation of emotion and use of emotion of emotional intelligence have an impact on personal agency beliefs including capability beliefs and context beliefs, the explanation concerning capability beliefs(47%) and context beliefs(22%) was persuasive. Therefore, when undergraduate students have to make career decision for their future, in order to encourage personal agency beliefs which are related to motivational factors, the consequence of emotional intelligence was verified. It is necessary to establish many kinds of supporting systems to encourage the emotional intelligence and personal agency beliefs.
The Study on the Impact of the Task-Technology Fit Model and Organizational Characteristics of the Mobile Office System on the Job Performance

It is required for enterprises to construct the proper information management system in order to cope with the volatile business situations. The mobile office system is introduced from the needs to provide organization members smart information and mobility. By setting the model, hence, we intend to scrutinize the impact of the task-technology fit model and organizational characteristics of the mobile office system on the job performance. As a result, system quality, information quality and mobility are revealed to affect positively the task-technology fitness and the fitness also affects the job performance positively. Organization characteristics affects the job performance positively through the task-technology fitness, too. Therefore the organization which plans to introduce the mobile office system should consider the task-technology fitness and exert organizational-level efforts to adopt and use the mobile office system in the workplace.
Study on Forecasting Factors of Baby Boomer`s Social Participation Desire After Retirement

This study aims to identify forecasting factors of baby boomer`s social participation desire. For this purpose, I utilized Hyun-Jung Kang(2012)`s data whose 1,115 sample were collected based on residential area and gender. The major findings are as follows; First, 77.7% of baby boomers are actually participating in economic activities. 27.0% in volunteering activities and 79.3% in leisure activities. 80.9% of baby boomers have intention to participate in economic activities after retirement, 76.7% in volunteering activities after retirement and 82.2% in leisure activities after retirement. Second, looking at the relationship between current social activity participation and intention to participate after retirement, those who are currently having social activities turn out to have higher intention to participate social activities after retirement. Those who wish to participate in social activities, although they don`t participate in social activities currently, turn out to be 55.8% for economic activities, 70.6% for volunteering activities and 66.5% for leisure activities. Third, whether they are currently participating in social activities turns out to be most compelling forecasting factor for the desire on social participation after retirement. These results were discussed in terms of the continuity theory. and proposed that you need from the preparation of Middle - aged to activate the participation of important social variables known as old age life satisfaction.
Effect of Learning Organization on Organizational Commitment and Turnover Intention in Social Welfare Organization: Focused on Senge Model

The main objective of this study was to investigate the effect of learning organization on social worker`s organizational commitment and turnover intention in the social welfare organization. For the research, learning organization was consisted of shared vision, personal mastery, team learning and system thinking on the P. Senge`s learning organization model. The results of this study were summarized as follows: Mean analyses showed that social workers perceived the level of learning organization had a higher than medium. By using a hierarchical multiple regression, shared vision, personal mastery and team learning had a positive effect on the social workers` organizational commitment. Shared vision and team learning had a negative effect on the social workers` turnover intention. This study finally discusses theoretical implications for future study and practical implications for learning organization strategies on the results.
The impact of liquidity constraints on investment expenditures: Evidences from family and non-family firms

This paper investigates the impact of liquidity constraints on investment expenditures of family and non-family firms. We analyze the ownership structure of family firms to determine whether family control alleviates or exacerbates investment-cash flow sensitivity in domestic firms. To examine the impact of liquidity constraints on investment expenditures of family and non-family firms, we used a financial data of 644 Korea Exchange traded companies over the 2000 - 2010 period. We estimated a time-series and cross-sectional regression model, using samples of family firms and non-family firms. The results show that cash flow is not associated with investment expenditure in family firms, whereas cash flow has a positive impact on investment in non-family firms. Our results show that lower or no investment-cash flow sensitivities in family-controlled firms are mainly attributable to lower agency costs through strong monitoring activities of family members. Higher investment-cash flow sensitivities are observed in non-family firms with more agency problems. This suggests that investment-cash flow sensitivities would be useful measures of liquidity constraints.
The Characteristics of the Learning Performance according to the Indoor Temperature of the Learning Environment and the Color of the Learning Materials

This study examined whether the combination of the indoor temperature on the learning environment and the colors of the learning materials affect the learning performance. To do this, the condition of indoor temperature was divided into three conditions: the neutral condition which is the appropriate temperature condition of the learning activities (
), the high-temperature condition (>
), and the low-temperature condition (<
). In addition, colors of red, blue, black, and green were used as the warm, cold, and neutral colors, and the verbal-working memory task was used as the learning task. As a result, it was not significant differences in the response time of the learning task, whereas, in the accuracy rate of the learning task, the performance was more accurate in red- and black-color conditions. These results could be interpreted as the saliency and color-temperature of the red color, and the familiarity and specificity of the black color.

This article is focused to examine the influence of relationship between additional costs and repurchase in the outbound package tourists regard to the role of the personal service and brand. It is analysed that the additional costs don`t have an effect on the repurchase. And also there is no relationship between repurchase and personal service for the tourists. However the role of the brand plays a mediated effect in repurchase in the outbound markets. Nonetheless the manager and contact employee of travel agents have an attention to the personal service quality and brand as well.
A Study on the design of hospital budget variance analysis model reflecting efficiency and an attainable target cost

This study aims to develop DEA model which can look into budget cost variance analysis tool based on standard cost using 68 hospital`s input and output data. For accomplishing this purpose, by introducing new DEA model which can get an attainable target cost, we can decompose an actual cost difference into several meaningful sub variances. Also based on the 2008 general hospital data, this model can make variance analysis between actual cost and target cost. Total variance can be divided into technical inefficiency variance, price inefficiency variance, allocation inefficiency variance. This study introduces that by using target budget cost concept, traditional actual cost variance can be divided into a technical variance, price variance, budget variance. Finally, we can get result which confirms there does not exist favorable size effects on efficiency and cost management in running a general hospital.
Factors Associated with the Prehospital Delay in Acute Myocardial Infarction

In patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI), the delay from symptom onset to hospital arrival has a critical effect on morbidity and mortality. This study examined to find out the determinants of the prehospital delay in patients with AMI. The study sample consisted of 597 patients hospitalized with AMI between Jan and Dec 2009. Demographic, medical history, and clinical data were abstracted from the hospital medical records of patients with confirmed AMI, the prehospital delay was categorized as less than or greater than 6 hours. Older age, low socioeconomic status(medical aid), and low use of Emergency medical system were associated with delays in seeking emergency care for Acute myocardial infarction. Education programs to improve patient knowledge of acute coronary syndrome symptoms and promote patient responsiveness with regard to seeking medical care should be used to reduce the prehospital delay time, especially in the low socioeconomic group.
Variation Analysis of Medical Service Utilization in Oriental Medicine Frequent Disease of Rural Area

The objectives of this study are to identify whether the small area variation also exists in the oriental medicine and, if it exists, what causes, to expand our boundary of research interests on the small area variation observed at the western medicine toward the oriental medicine as one of the fundamental research foundations and to provide any fundamental findings from this study results to the healthcare politicians to promote consumer`s rational behaviors for the use of healthcare. This study analyzed the health insurance claim data (2010, 2011) which were the patients of western medicine and the outpatients of the oriental medicine with the top 10 most frequent diseases and looked into the variation of healthcare utilization among the areas after grouping resident area into an 86-area category. The study result shows that the small area variation was also observed at the part of the oriental medicine in which the characteristics of patients critically affect the healthcare expenditure per visit day rather than those of providers and the characteristics of both patients and providers equally affect the healthcare expenditure per patient. Therefore, this study suggests that government set up healthcare policies on the standardization of oriental medicine to prevent its over-utilization and unmet need, enforcing the roles of oriental medicine in the markets, enhancing the appropriate health care utilization, and expanding provision and sharing the health care information to reduce unnecessary health care utilization.

This study sought to compare the difference of Phonation Threshold Pressure and Nasalance according to vowels. We tested 28 normal females(20~30age) who be in attendance at a school from May to August 2012. We measured Phonation Threshold Pressure through PAS(Phonatory aerodynamic system, model 6600, KAY electronics, Inc) that aero-mechanical instrument called. Phonation Threshold Pressure was measured by using the consonant /p/ and the three vowels /a, i, u/ and was analyzed the three times of Phonation the five times. Also We measured Nasalance through the Nasometer
(model 6450, KAY electronics, Inc). The vowel`s phonation was recored by using the three vowels /a, i, u/. the nasalance score was measured via Nasometer. As a Result, Phonation Threshold Pressure according to three vowels show significantly difference. Also, Nasalance according to three vowels show significantly difference. Finally, Correlation coefficient of Phonation Threshold Pressure and Nasalance according to three vowels show positive relation ship. Therefore Phonation Threshold Pressure and Nasalance according to three vowels have closely relationship.
Effects of Life Stress and Depression of Health College Students on Their Suicidal Ideation : Control Effects of Social Support

This study selected 390 students attending the three-year curriculum departments of G college in G metropolitan city including emergency medical technology, physical therapy and health administration randomly as the subjects of the research. The research was conducted from June 4 to 6, 2012 with structured self-administered questionnaire, 366 responses were used for final analysis. Data collected were analyzed with SPSS WIN(Statistical Package for Social Science Windows) 12.0 program and all tests were verified at the significance level of 0.05. As a result of the research, it was found that interaction effects between depression from suicidal ideation and social support showed negative correlation and it was statistically significant. Consequently, it was confirmed that social support had control effects in the relationship between depression and suicidal ideation. Therefore, the development and application of individual and group counseling and regular education program to prevent suicide and increase self-esteem are required, practical education program should be conducted and studies showing its results and effects are also needed.
The Effects of Balance and Trunk Repositioning Sense with Multisensorial Training using Visual Cue Deprivation in Subacute Stroke Patients

This study was to investigate the effects of balance and trunk repositioning sense through multisensorial training using visual cue deprivation in subacute stroke patients. Multisensorial training group practiced after visual deprivation, control group practiced in the same training except visual deprivation with thirty subjects. Both groups were conducted training programs on sixty minutes a day, five days a week during four weeks. The subjects were evaluated by static balance, dynamic balance and trunk repositioning sense in the pre-posttest. There was significant improvement by multisensorial training that static balance, dynamic balance and the trunk repositioning sense between pretest and post test (p<.05). There were significantly differences in the amount of change of dynamic balance, trunk repositioning sense between the two groups(p<.05). Through this study, multisensorial training suggest that is effective in the improvement of dynamic balance and trunk repositioning sense.

This study is to collect a basic data of how Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) procedure can influence to cardiac arrest patient with and without the Depth Device during the average transport time period. The data has achieved by comparing result sheet of CPR procedure by hands only versus with Depth Device by twenty 1st and 2nd class Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) from five different fire stations in city of Chong-Ju, and twenty Emergency Rescue major students who completed the BLS provide course. The experiment participators experienced loss of compression depth and rate increase over time. However, the CPR procedure with Depth Device shows that both EMT and students to allow maintaining both the compression depth and rate. The experiment leaves a positive result for CPR operators and considers being valuable domain for cardiac arrest patient.

In order to estimate risk of diabetes by analyzing dietary patterns, we examined prevalence of diabetes and impaired fasting glucose among Korean adults who are similar in food frequency to diabetes and impaired fasting glucose. The mean of food frequency of diabetes and impaired fasting glucose was calculated for analyzing the prevalence using the food frequency data from 2007, 2008 and 2009 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey(KNHANES). Also the most frequent food was estimated for each group by using the mean difference of food frequency. As the results shows that the similar food frequency groups have significant prevalence rate, we expect that this study will contribute to the relations between dietary intakes and prevalence of diabetes.

The purpose of this study is to be conducive to work improvement through analyzing turnover intention and organizational commitment of EMT within medical institution. The subjects of this study were randomly extracted 188 EMT. The survey period was conducted from May 3, 2011 to May 19 (May 3rd-4th in G Province, May 14th in B Metropolitan City, May 18th-19th in D Metropolitan City). An analytical method was made with SPSS WIN program(Version 12.0). As a result of research, the turnover intention was high in women(p<.001), in under 30 years old(about 4.9 times, p<.001), in the unmarried(about 4.3 times, p<.001), and in junior college graduate(about 4 times, p<.001). Also, the turnover intention was high in income with under 1,500,000 won(about 3.3 times, p<.001), in working career with under 5 years(about 3.2 times, p<.001), in feeling the legal work limit(about 1.8 times, p<.05), and in group with low job satisfaction(p<.001). In correlation between organizational commitment and job variable, the variables in age, marriage, academic background, turnover intention, income, career, and legal work limit except gender and job satisfaction showed positive correlation with organizational commitment(p<.01). As for the factors affected on the organizational commitment, the turnover intention(p<.01), the legal work limit(p<.01), and the job satisfaction(p<.001) had significant effect on organizational commitment.

In Korea, the enactment of National Health Promotion Act 1995 gradually increased considerable attention on not only the quality of life, but also the desire for health. Health Promoting Behaviors have been considered as significant factors in determining the quality of life. The purpose of this study was to examine health promoting behaviors of conscripted policemen, to analyze the relationship between such behaviors and a sense of self-efficacy, and finally to provide some basic data which can be utilized for developing health promotion programs of conscripted policemen. For this study, a total of 251 conscripted policemen in Daegu city and Kyongbuk Province were sampled. The data were collected for 7 days from August 20 to August 27 2012 by employing a questionnaire. The collected data were then processed by using the SPSS PC 18.0 program for Frequencies, Percentages, Means, Standard Deviations, and Pearson`s Correlation Coefficient. This study measured 2.52(

) points in the extent of a sense of self-efficacy. Therefore, this study clearly demonstrated that health promoting behaviors are strongly correlated with a sense of self-efficacy in Korean conscripted policemen. Considering the results of this research, it is highly recommended that programs for improving health promoting behaviors of conscripted policemen should be developed.

In this study was explored minimize side effects due to the additional injection of contrast medium and maintaining a high resolution imaging applied to the inspection and analysis of the contrast medium that affect the peak time biomechanics factors. Included 48 patients using the test bolus method, after measuring a patient`s biomechanics factors of inspection before and during the test, correlation between contrast medium peak time and learn, matches the regression equation calculated and measured contrast medium peak time was assessed by the Bland Altman plot. Research result, inspections of SBP, HR contrast medium peak time and a significant negative correlation was, step 1, every increase, the contrast medium peak time significantly to -0.018 and -0.159 decreased, a fairly high concordance no difference between the two method. In conclusion, the regression equation using the existing methods, while maintaining excellent image quality that contrast medium is reduced to a patient, it can conclude that the alternative to the existing methods.
Web Usability Testing by Using Scanpath Similarity Analysis

This study was performed to determine the usefulness of scanpath similarity analysis as one of new web usability testing. The 5 websites of public institutions were used and 15 students participated. First of all, eye movements were tracked and visual appeal ratings were measured as participants freely viewed each website for 3 seconds. Subsequently in continuously tracking the eye movements we asked the participants to perform 17 missions. Finally, in interview the participants rated on satisfaction, awareness, and mission difficulty. Results of this study showed that scanpath similarity had a significant relationship with both the visual appeal ratings(first impression) and the satisfaction. In other words, higher the visual appeal ratings were related to higher scanpath similarity. This result showed that measurement such as scanpath similarity of eye movements could become an objective index for usability testing instead of subjective evaluation such as the satisfaction. We discussed possibility that the usability testing by using the scanpath similarity with both fixation and duration on eye movements will find more appropriately inference on observers` experiences in websites.

In this paper, we proposed and fabricated the single feed microstrip patch antenna with slot for S-DMB(Satellite-Digital Multimedia Broadcasting). In order to improve of frequency properties, patch size, feed length, and slot size were investigated by HFSS simulation program. The manufactured single feed microstrip patch antenna with slot showed that the measured center frequency, the minimum return loss and -10dB bandwidth were 2.64GHz, -34.67dB and 180MHz, respectively.

This paper proposes the design method of low-cost vector control system for induction motor using the ARM Cortex-M4 microcontroller. This MCU can be used instead of expensive DSP to control the home appliances such as refrigerator, air conditioner, washing machine and so on. This paper explains the major features of Cortex-M4 for motor control and how to realize a vector-controlled inverter using it. The developed system is applied to 3-phase induction motor of 200[W] and experimental results show good performance similar to the system using TMS320F28335 DSP.

In this paper, TMC (Tracker Motion Controller) as one of the many research methods for condensing efficiency improvements can be condensed into efficient solar system configuration to improve the power generation efficiency of the castle with Concentrated solar silicon and photovoltaic systems (CPV)experiments using PV systems. Microprocessor used on the solar system, tracing the development of solar altitude and latitude of each is calculated in real time. Also accept the value from the sensor, motor control and communication with the central control system by calculating the value of the current position of the sun, there is a growing burden on the applicability. Through the way the program is appropriate for solar power systems and sensors hybrid-type algorithm was implemented in the ARM core with built-in TMC, Concentrated CPV system compared to the existing PV systems, through the implementation of the TMC in the country`s power generation efficiency compared and analyzed. Sensor method using existing experimental results Concentrated solar power systems to communicate the value of GPS location tracking method hybrid solar horizons in the coordinate system of the sun`s azimuth and elevation angles calculated by the program in the calculations of astronomy through experimental resultslook clear day at high solar irradiation were shown to have a large difference. In this paper, We operate at a relatively low BER or using forward error control coding techniques on ways to increase the capacity of optical communication systems research. Coding gain is defined as the ratio of the probability of the coded signal and coding of error signal. Coding gain is increased, partly because of the period, to reduce the value of the optimal coding of the signal error probability decreases because of the effective bit binary symbol duration is longer than can be ignored. Transmission capacity on the coding gain for various code rates, which show the extent of up to 75Gb/s transmission capacity to get through it was confirmed that these coding techniques.
Design and Implementation of Double Down-Converter for Satellite TV

In this paper, the broadband frequency double down-converter based on LC filter technologies has been designed and implemented, and its performances are introduced. The Designed frequency double down-converter is consisted with a low-noise amplifier, mixer, IF amplifier, LC filter, DC-block capacitor and RF-bypass capacitor. Especially, instead of active devices of a typical converter, the suggested converter designed using passive devices to provide both low-power consumption and low-cost model. As results of the measurement, the implemented frequency double down-converter realizes the broadband performance with the bandwidth of 100MHz (13~113MHz) at the center frequency of 63MHz, and its gain is approximately 40dB.

Supporting Service Continuity in OFDMA Systems

The objective of this paper is to provide service continuity based on an efficient subchannel allocation in OFDMA systems. The resource management for handover are necessary to maintain the QoS requirements of different multimedia applications because the service continuity may be defected by some delay and information loss. Therefore we propose two subchannel management schemes applied to OFDMA systems. Firstly, a superposition allocation of interference subchannels is achieved by modifying a frequency reuse scheme, using co-subchannel interference principle. Secondly for handover applications, we suggest a novel subchannel reservation scheme to adjust the number of allocated channels, depending on the different characteristics and diverse quality of mobile multimedia applications. Simulation results show that the total throughput for the proposed method is increased up to 20% at average and peak arrivals and the handover failure rate is decreased to about 25%, as compared to the conventional method.

The cloud service based on PaaS is the cloud service of platform in the side of development, which provide the reusable framework service that is beyond the existing development tool or management tool service. A MAC Protocol for Transmission Power Control in Ad Hoc Networks

This paper presents a transmission power control MAC protocol that allows terminals to vary transmit power level on data frame basis in ad hoc network. Unlike the IEEE 802.11 approach, we do not use the RTS/CTS packets to silence the neighboring nodes. Instead, channel gain and distance information between transmitter and receiver terminal are inserted in the RTS/CTS packets. These informations are used to dynamically bound the transmission power. Simulation results indicate that, compared to the GMAC, the proposed MAC protocol achieves a increase in the average frame delivery ratio and a decrease in the average frame delay.
Character Region Extraction Based on Texture and Depth Features

In this paper, we propose a method of effectively segmenting character regions by using texture and depth features in 3D stereoscopic images. The suggested method is mainly composed of four steps. The candidate character region extraction step extracts candidate character regions by using texture features. The character region localization step obtains only the string regions in the candidate character regions. The character/background separation step separates characters from background in the localized character areas. The verification step verifies if the candidate regions are real characters or not. In experimental results, we show that the proposed method can extract character regions from input images more accurately compared to other existing methods.

It is always a dream to recreate the experience of a particular place, the Panorama Virtual Reality has been interpreted as a kind of technology to create virtual environments and the ability to maneuver angle for and select the path of view in a dynamic scene. In this paper we examined an efficient method for Image registration and stitching of captured imaged. Two approaches are studied in this paper. First, dynamic programming is used to spot the ideal key points, match these points to merge adjacent images together, later image blending is used for smooth color transitions. In second approach, FAST and SURF detection are used to find distinct features in the images and nearest neighbor algorithm is used to match corresponding features, estimate homography with matched key points using RANSAC. The paper also covers the automatically choosing (recognizing, comparing) images to stitching method.
An Investment Strategy for Construction Companies using DEA-Markowitz`s Model

This paper proposes an efficient portfolio selection methodology for the listed construction corporations in KOSPI and KOSDAQ. For the construction industrial sector classified by KRX(Korea Exchange), the proposed method carries out an efficiency analysis using DEA (Data envelopment analysis) approach and for the efficient corporations filtered by DEA, construct portfolio using Markowitz`s Model. In order to show the effectiveness of the proposed method, we constructed annually portfolios for 5 years (2007-2011) out of 53 listed corporations in KOSPI and KOSDAQ, and proved that our portfolios are superior to benchmark portfolios in terms of rate of returns.

Road facility has the high possibility of being damaged or destroyed due to continuous pass of the vehicles, overloaded vehicles, traffic accidents and so on and stormwater manhole, sewerage manhole that are installed on the road may cause the functional degradation in case of periodic pavement of the road. So management through establishing DB of road facility and efficient updating plan are required. Thus, this study used DGPS camera for efficient establishment and improvement of road facility DB. Applicability of DGPS camera could be suggested by satisfying the allowable accuracy required for establishing DB of road facility through the comparative analysis with the result of establishment of existing road facility DB and the process of DB establishment by existing total solution could be improved through process analysis. And the existing DB of road facility was improved so that the present conditions of surrounding topography and road facility can be grasped by developing the module that can add the images of road facility to digital map and Google Earth-based KML Builder. It is expected that road facility service that provides various information can be available if the spatial data of each local self-governing body and study of automation that utilizes DGPS camera images are accomplished hereafter.

Two - dimensional numerical analysis model(RMA2), is mainly applied to analyze the flood water levels, velocities and change of river bed at the downstream of Dam. The analysis result be able to influence to Gwangchon bridge from Juam dam, freeboard be insufficient 0.7m to left bank 300m section of dam downstream. Bank overflow is appear to all section of Bosung river to PMF spill condition. Inundated district is appear to river confluence to 200year frequency and is expand to bank overflow to PMF spill condition. Velocity in the channel was simulated high velocity to the bridge and narrow reach and appear to riverbed degradation.

In this study, the characteristics of polymer-modified mortar which include UM resin, eco-friendly resin, was studied for improving the durability of concrete. UM and cement mortar were mixed with a certain percentage. Eco-friendly UM resin polymer-modified mortar was evaluated by compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, flexural strength, water absorption and chemical resistance experiments. The characteristics of eco-friendly UM resin polymer-modified mortar were evaluated by experiments. Performance of compressive strength and splitting tensile strength were decreasing. On the other hand, performance of flexural strength, water absorption and chemical resistance were increasing. Eco-friendly UM resin polymer-modified mortar reinforced concrete durability performance is excellent.
Evaluation of Local Buckling Strength of Stiffened Plates under Uni-axial Compression due to Closed-section Rib Stiffness

Generally, structural plates under axial compression should be stiffened by longitudinal stiffeners in order to enhance the buckling strength. Though U-shaped ribs would be more efficient for the stiffened plate system, there is in the absence of a proper design guides or relevant research results. Thus this study is aimed to examine the local buckling behavior of stiffened plates with U-section ribs. 3-dimensional analysis models which include 3 types of U-shaped longitudinal stiffeners were simulated by using the finite element code ABAQUS. The bifurcation analysis were conducted and then the buckling analysis results are compared with the theoretical equation values. It is found that the rotational constraint effect provided by the U-ribs should increase the local buckling strength. Some features drawn from a series of parametric study results are summarized.
A Study on the Thermal Environment Evaluation of `Hanok` considering Solid Model of Building Elements

This study aimed for the scientific approach of Korean traditional house, so called Hanok, by analyses of structural elements and thermal environmental performance. Hanok is a very unique vernacular architectural style of the Middle East Asia that fits with climate conditions of the Korean Peninsular, designed to withstand high temperature and humidity in summer and cold and dry in winter seasons. In order to evaluate thermal environment of Hanok, its sectional structure such as floor, wall, roof structure and Ondol which is Korean traditional floor heating system, was built in 3D, as well as heat transfer mechanism of its composing elements was analyzed through 3 dimensional steady state analysis. The results of the thermal environmental performance of Hanok will be used as a basic datum of design guidelines for accomplishing ecologic housing fitted with local climate.
Improvement of Capturing Velocity in the Fume Hood using Computational Fluid Dynamics(I) - Uniform flow

This study used Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) to assess the properties of the air current inflow and the flow velocity distribution in the fume hood. In order to verify the effect of improvement, it was also predicted the characteristics of the flow pattern in case the hood face is structurally improved. The assessment of the capture velocity with the existing fume hood confirmed maximum 23 to 30% difference as compared to the root mean square (RMS). And the hood face showed great difference in flow velocity, with the flow velocity in the upper part is 58 to 68% faster than that in the lower part of the hood. So, as a result of the improvement of the hood designed to maintain a steady exhaust at the hood face (that is, installing a baffle on the inner wall and designing the slot type face), a difference of maximum 7% as compared to RMS appeared while maximum 12% differentiation in flow velocity through sections was predicted, showing mitigation of much of the difference in control velocity as compared to the previous structure.

An evaluation of the organic matter removal efficiency showed high removal efficiencies of 91.1~96.3% and 91.4~97.5% for TCODcr and TBOD5, respectively, for 9hr or longer of HRT. However, the removal efficiencies decreased to 86.9~90.5% and 88.0~90.9%, respectively for 6hr of HRT.
-N showed a high removal efficiency of 95% or higher for 9hr or longer of HRT. The total nitrogen removal efficiency was 67.6~76.7% for 9~12hr of HRT, and it decreased to 50% for 6hr of HRT, which seems to be due to the insufficient carbon source required for denitrification. The T-P removal efficiency was 32% on average. To comply with the legal standards, a chemical phosphorus removal process is needed after the reactor.

The current research reviewed the design conditions that would maximize the efficiency of the hybrid collector that combines in one unit "cyclone-inertial impaction-bag filter". The computational analysis for the shape of cyclone entry predicts that a design that installs the guide vane at the entry of the tangential type cyclone brings a high-rpm and powerful vortex, very effective in promoting the deflection of coarse particles from the streamline at the cyclone. As the lower part of the cyclone is venturi-shaped, however, a strong flow downward of 4 to 5 m/sec persists through the lower part of the hopper, revealing the likely reentrainment of collected dust. And the removal of the venturi at the lower part of the cyclone would solve the problem of the reentrainment of collected dust. The acceleration of the flow velocity through the adjustment of the gap of the collision baffle would increase the effect of collision, but as the interference with the dust separation is expected, the original design should be kept for the baffle.
