Experimental Study on Coating Corrosion Characteristics of Heat Exchanger for Sea Water

In the present study, coating corrosion characteristics of the heat exchanger for sea water are experimentally investigated. Coating types by a teflon, an electrodeposition and a ceramic+silicon were tested and compared with the corrosion characteristics of an aluminum. For the acceleration of corrosion by sea water, the temperature of sea water
and the concentration of salt 3.5% were considered. And the specimens were immersed in sea water during 9 weeks. Coating corrosion characteristics were measured by using the impedance method and SEM. Experimental results showed that polarization resistances obtained from Bode plot were related to the corrosion resistance of coating types, and the corrosion resistance of double coating were maintained during 4 weeks. From SEM photograph, we saw that blisters was generated on the interface between metal and coating.
Development of The Bean Threshing System using Independent Driving

This purpose of this research is to build up a prototype of bean threshing machine after three dimensional design which can be driven independently by engine and hydraulic equipments and wheels. To accomplish the functionality of bean threshing machine the cutters are placed in a swirl type on a threshing drum the thresing capability would be improved. Also a exit pipe was designed to clear the remains to solve the past problems that the normal machines had. A fan was designed to blow to send the waste only to the outside. Only clean beans will be transferred through a blowing fan wind power to exit pipe and the system was designed to help the worker to collect the beans in front of the machine. This threshing machine using independent driving engine which can provide the power to drive the system and do the threshing is the first developed technology in domestic area through the University and Industry cooperation.

This paper is a special-purpose machine studies for processing various patterns on the surface of the stone. We have developed a special-purpose machine that can be applied in various patterns upon the surface treatment of the stone with the water jet. The special-purpose machine is Configured of Transfer mechanism, motion controller, multi-nozzle mechanism, ultra high pressure water control system and S/W. We conducted a performance evaluation experiments of the pattern. We have developed a special-purpose machine with a precision of machining error

Research for Effective Vibrational Rapping Performance of Multiple Electrostatic Precipitators in Series and Parallel Arrangements

One of the most significant requisite that should be considered for effective rapping of the electrostatic precipitator using electromagnetic vibration exciter is vibration acceleration and resonance frequency of collecting plates. This vibration acceleration shows its peak points when natural frequencies of the system are corresponded with excitation frequency from the power source, and effective rapping performance can be expected. In this research, extend view of single electrostatic precipitator using one electromagnetic vibration exciter, the system was remodeled by arrangement of the exciters in view of multiple modules of the electrostatic precipitator in fields. And vibration acceleration measurement experiment is performed and measured values are compared with these remodeled systems. By this experimental comparison in series and parallel arrangement, effectiveness of arrangement methods for the electromagnetic vibration exciter, expected rapping performance, and power consumption are verified.

Because of effective fruit growing and management in the slope land, the use of orchard vehicle with lifting utilities has been increased. For this reason the study on the stability of that vehicle for worker`s safety is needed. This study is investigated on the stability estimation of orchard vehicle with four wheels and dual rectangular-type lifting utilities which can be moved on the dirt sloping load. Through the multi-body dynamics analysis on the vehicle mechanism, overturning angles of 19.2 and
in the right-left and front-rear direction can be calculated. It is determined tractive resistances and required powers of the wheels. And through the finite element analysis on the frame of lifting utility its maximum von-Mises stress is 146 MPa and it is structural stable. Therefore it is known that the orchard vehicle with wheels and lifting utilities has static and dynamic stability.

This study was peformed to determine optimum induction heating conditions for a round bar of crankshaft. Four induction heating conditions were proposed and evaluated, employing numerical method, based on electromagnetic and sequential heat transfer analyses, resulting in optimum induction heating conditions which are finally proposed based on peak temperatures at heating zone and minimum temperature gradient through thickness of a round bar after 1 hour induction heating.
On an Approach to Measuring the System Performance by Utilizing the Combined System Readiness Level and Achieved Technical Performance in Weapon Systems Development

The recent studies indicated that the major sources of the failure in carrying out the programs of weapon systems development would be the unsatisfaction of the required key performance and also the use of premature technology. As such, to manage the risk during the weapon systems development, the use of the technical performance measurement (TPM) and the technology maturity assessment (TMA) turned out to be necessary. However, the TPM studied so far seems to cover the assessment of performance at the component level only, and thus is insufficient in considering the system integration effect. On the other hand, the system readiness level (SRL) method has been presented by reflecting the effect on system integration, but the system performance and maturity has not been considered. To overcome this, a measurement method is proposed in the paper by utilizing the combined system readiness level and achieved technical performance at the system level. This system performance measure can be useful in managing the risk in the weapon systems development.

Outer tie rod is lighter than other, but there is the trend item weight and the number is increasing due to vehicle performance improvement. Thus, to improve vehicle fuel efficiency, weight lightening is essential. Therefore, this research performed the finite element analysis to investigate the structural performance of the outer tie rod for an electrical vehicle. This study was performed as the preliminary study for a lightweight design of the outer tie rod. The weight of outer tie rod was optimized by adopting the steel material and applying the trial and error method. The strengths due to durability and buckling should be considered in the structural design of an outer tie rod. Furthermore, the meta model-based optimization was applied to obtain its lightweight design, leading to 9 % weigh reduction.
A Study on the Formation of Air Bubble by the Droplet Volume and Dispensing Method in UV NIL

Nanoimprint lithography (NIL) is an emerging technology enabling cost-effective and high-throughput nanofabrication. Recently, the major trends of NIL are high throughput and large area patterning. UV curable type NIL (UV NIL) can be performed at room temperature and low pressure. And one advantage of UV NIL is that it does not need vacuum, which greatly simplifies tool construction, so that vacuum oprated high-precision stages and a large vacuum chamber are no longer needed. However, one key issue in non-vacuum environment is air bubble formation problem. Namely, can the air bubbles be completely removed from the resist. In this paper, the air bubbles formation by the method of droplet application in UV NIL with non-vacuum environment are experimentally studied. The effects of the volume of droplet and the number of dispensing points on air bubble formation are investigated.
Properties of CaO added MgO Sintering at High Pressure and Low Temperatures

We executed the property changes of the sintered MgO (99.9% purity, 300nm size) specimens with addition to CaO content of 0.00wt%, 0.25wt%, and 0.50wt%, processed at 7GPa, for 5min, 600~
. To investigate the micro-structure and physical property changes of the sintered MgO(-CaO), we employed a scanning electron microscopy(SEM), X-ray diffractomerty(XRD), Vickers hardness, and density. The SEM result showed that MgO powder of 300nm size was changed into sintered structure of 520nm by high pressure and low temperature sintering, regardless of the CaO contents. According to the XRD analysis, no CaO phase observed, while MgO peaks shift indicated the existence of CaO in the MgO matrix. The Vickers hardness result showed that hardness of sintered MgO-CaO increased by 12% compared pure MgO under the same temperature conditions. It implied that we can obtain the same hardness with
lowered sintering temperatures by addition of CaO. The density results showed that it was possible to obtain density of 98%, which is 5% greater than that of pure MgO at low temperature of

In this paper, structural analysis was made on two cases in order to develop free rotational method and rotational angle in LCD monitor. The configuration of LCD monitor in field was modeled by using 3-D design program CATIA V5 and structural analysis was done to the modeled LCD in order to obtain stress, strain and total deformation by using ANSYS finite element analysis program.

In order to investigate the heating performance of multi-heat pump applying an inverter compressor, the experiment on heat pump with 3 indoor units was performed under the heating standard and heating low-temperature conditions. The performance data of heat pump with 3 indoor units were measured by the multi-psychrometric calorimeter. The operation characteristics and the behavior of the refrigerant cycle of the heat pump with 3 indoor units were understood from the heating capacity, heating COP, and P-h diagram by indoor-unit combination. The present experimental results show that the operating load and performance of the multi-heat pump depends on the indoor-unit combination. The heating capacity and heating COP of the low temperature condition were smaller than those of the standard one. Also the refrigerant cycles on indoor-unit combination were analyzed by using P-h diagram.

Knowledge transfer occurs in various social contexts, within individuals and groups, and, thus, is closely linked to social networks in an organization. This paper applies social network theory and social identity theory to knowledge management area. The subject of this study was organization members who transfer their knowledge. 296 questionnaires were collected and analyzed. The results are as follows. First, in-group and out-group`s tie strength have a significant effect on knowledge transfer. Second, the study shows that the knowledge transfer influences positively individual, team and organizational performance. Lastly, the study verifies that the applied knowledge has a moderating effect on the relationship of the in-group`s tie strength and knowledge transfer.
The Relationship Between Mothers` Safety Knowledge and Home Safety Practice

This purpose of this study was to investigate the difference of safety practice and safety knowledge according to background variables of mothers and the relationship between practice and knowledge in safety of mothers. The subjects were 143 mothers in Iksan city. A questionnaire was made by the researcher on the basis of relevant materials. The data was analyzed by statistical methods such as frequency, Cronbach`s
, descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe and Pearson`s correlation. The results are as follow: First, mothers` safety knowledge was higher than average. There were significant differences in emergence care, dangerous material, toy safety and young children` developmental character according to mothers` age. There were significant differences in dangerous situation, young children` developmental character and sum score of safety knowledge according to mothers` educational level. So there were significant differences in electrical fire safety, young children`s developmental character according to children`s age. Second, mothers typically practiced home safety. There were significant differences bathroom, entrance according to mothers` age. And there were significant differences room, kitchen and sum score of safety practice according to children`s age. Third, there is no correlation between mothers` safety knowledge and home safety practice.
An Effect Relationship Analysis Among Brand Benefits, Brand Charisma and Repurchasing Intents in Co-brand

This study is to examinate an empirical study how effect of co-brand benefit(symbolic, functional, experiential) and brand charisma upon repurchasing intents in co-brand of agriculture goods, that is first power brand in chungnam provinces if korea. specifically this study conceptualizes that brand charisma to co-brand influence repurchasing intents. which leads to customer relationship management. In these brand charisma would have the moderating role between co-brand benefit and repurchasing intents. In the empirical analysis, we found that symbolic & functional benefits of co-brand and brand charisma would have a positive affect repurchasing intents. I verified the assumption that brand charisma of agriculture would moderating role between brand benefits and brand rebuying intents in the agriculture co-brand, and the result partially supported that assumption of it. Several strategies and suggestions for increasing persuasion of agro brand charisma are inferred from the results.
Effect of Pygmalion Leadership on the Organizational Commitment and the Mediating Effect of Leader-Member Exchange among Hospital Employees

This study attempted to examine the relationship between pygmalion leadership and the organizational commitment among hospital employees, and the mediating effect of the leader-member exchange (LMX) on their relationship. For this purpose, we designed structured self-response survey questionnaires, and collected data from 349 employees working at 9 hospitals and ambulatory clinics in Busan area. Frequency analysis, correlation analysis, factor analysis, and reliability analysis were performed using SPSS ver.18.0 program, and the path analysis was performed using AMOS ver.18.0 program. Major findings are as follows. First, some factors of pygmalion leadership were found to directly influence the quality of LMX, while some had both direct and indirect influences on organizational commitment. Second, the quality of LMX was found to partly mediate the relationship between pygmalion leadership and the organizational commitment in hospital organizations. This is the first in kind which was conducted in the hospital setting.

This study is research of actual proof on verification of the user`s utility about mobile convergence products and the types of convergence categorize into four types according to their characteristics. Four types of convergence; (1)Open service via scalable internet, (2)Close service dependent on mobile phones, (3)Broadcast services such as DMB, (4)Individual products such as camera based on digital technology. The purpose of research model is to identify differences in effect value of the types of mobile convergence according to its usage level and level of quality. The Effect of Participation Motivation on Exercise Emotion and Psychological Well-being of Marathon Participants

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of participation motivation on exercise emotion and psychological well-being of marathon participants. The subjects of this study consisted of 241 marathon participants. The result of this study were as follows. First, the subscales of participation motivation, enjoyment, achievement and excitement positively influenced to fun, vigor, pride, achievement, catharsis. And skill development positively influenced to vigor, pride, achievement, catharsis. And external display positively influenced to vigor but, affiliation negatively influenced to vigor, achievement, and catharsis. And amotivation negatively influenced to fun, vigor, pride, catharsis. Second, the subscales of participation motivation, skill development and enjoyment positively influenced to feeling of flow, feeling of competence, feeling of self-realization, hedonic enjoyment. achievement and excitement positively influenced to feeling of flow and hedonic enjoyment, external display positively influenced to feeling to flow. And amotivation negatively influenced to feeling of self-realization and hedonic enjoyment. Third, the subscales of exercise emotion, pride positively influenced to feeling of flow, feeling of competence, feeling of self-realization, hedonic enjoyment. And vigor positively influenced to feeling of flow and hedonic enjoyment. And fun positively influenced to feeling of competence and feeling of self-realization. And achievement positively influenced to hedonic enjoyment.
Study on the motivation for renaming and the level of self-perception scale attained after renaming

The objective of this study is to examine the motivation for renaming and the self-perception scale attained after renaming. The survey was conducted targeting 161 individuals across the country from April 1 to May 31, 2013. The analyzing methods include frequency analysis, correlation analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA analysis and stepwise regression analysis, etc. All of the empirical analysis was verified at the 5% level of significance. According to the result of analysis, the renamed individuals scored higher on the success scale, the emotional scale and the personality scale after renaming. The study found that the individuals, who adopted a new name as per their own desire, scored significantly higher on the self perception scale. The study will serve as a reference material for persons who desire a new name, based on its result that the greatest motivation for renaming is the "desire to have a good name" and that the biggest changes accompanying the new name are the self confidence and satisfaction which have helped the renamed individuals score higher on the self-perception scale after renaming.

Study explores the effect of the member`s social enterpreneurship at nonprofit organizations on cooperative behavior and proved the mediator effect of value congruency among individuals at those organizations. Examined on a nationwide scale with members at nonprofit organizations, this study indicated followings: 1. Innovativeness, Risk Management, and Social Mission. are valid 2. Innovativeness and Social Mission are related to cooperative behavior, 3. Value congruency with each other at an institution exerts positive effect on cooperative behavior, 4. Value congruency over social enterpreneurship and cooperative behavior partially, yet still positively, mediate social enterpreneurship to cooperative behavior. In other words, the higher the social enterpreneurship in each indivisual is, the higher the degree of value congruency among individuals is, leading to more frequent cooperative behavior. This study also suggests that enhancement of social enterpreureship in each individual at work through education should be considered.
Effectiveness of a fast spin echo technique using the signal void in acquisition of black blood images

The purpose of our study is to shorten the scanning time and minimize the inconveniences of the patients in acquisition of the black blood images using the signal void effect in the fast spin echo technique while keeping the diagnostic value of the test. Thirty-two consecutive patients who underwent black blood MR imaging were examed with additional double inversion recovery (DIR) sequence and the conventional fast spin echo (FSE) sequence. Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) and Contrast to Noise Ratio (CNR) of the internal carotid arteries` lumen were compared in T1 and T2 weighted images to determine whether there are differences between the two techniques for depiction of the signal void effect inside the vessel wall. The FSE images showed lower SNR values than the DIR images in both of the T1 and T2 weighted images (11.49% and 13.66% respectively). While the CNR values were higher in the FSE images than in the DIR images in both of the T1 and T2 weighted images (8.69% and 7.55% respectively).There was no significant difference between the two techniques for either of the SNR or CNR (p>0.05, p>0.05 respectively). The DIR and the FSE images demonstrated almost identical imaging patterns. Therefore, it is anticipated that the use of FSE technique in acquisition of the black blood imaging could reduce the inconveniences of the patients during the scanning and minimize exam time while keeping the diagnostic value of the test.

A Study on Drug awareness information, Usage and Misusage on Elderly Inpatients of Veterans Hospital

This study is descriptive research, attempts to determine the status of elderly inpatients of veterans hospital` of drug awareness information, drug use status and drug Misusage. The subjects were 220 patients of aged 65 and over only five metropolitan areas nationwide in drug use in the Veterans Hospital, national merit, the study is from May to June. SPSS Win 18.0 program was used as the data analysis and a statistical statement by mean, standard deviation, t-test and ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. As a results, there was showed a statistically significant level `age`, `type of marriage`, `education`, `triage`, `health status` as the general characteristics of the subjects. It showed the `age` of the variables that influence recognition in the area of drug awareness information, and drug Misusage and drug use status factors seemed to affect the `health status`. Therefore, It need for a comparative study of elderly inpatients and inpatients of veterans hospital, the research should be qualitative research of veterans medical services to the on reasonable support measures in the Veterans Affairs health care system and national merit.
Prevalence and Risk Factors of Colonic Polyps in Colonoscopy Examinees

This study was performed to evaluate the prevalence and risk factors of colonic polyps which is an established premalignant lesion and to provide basic data for the management of colon cancer in asymptomatic adults. The subjects of this study were 995 persons who underwent screening colonoscopy between January to December 2010 in health promotion center of an University Hospital located in Busan, and structured questionnaire, medical questionnaire, medical records were reviewed retrospectively. The data were analyzed by SPSS 18.0 program. Colonic polyps were found in 63.2% of the subjects. The prevalence rate of colonic polyps was significantly higher in males and it increased with age. Age, sex and exercise were found to be related independently to colonic polyps. Early detection of colonic polyps by colonoscopy is important for adults over 40 years, and it is necessary to advise such subjects to correct a wrong life-style in order to primarily prevent the development of colonic polyps.
Relationship Among Serum Lipid levels, Obesity and Blood Pressure in Health Examined Adult Women

The present study was intended to reveal the relationships between serum lipid levels and various factors of obesity and blood pressure. The study subjects were 1,838 adult women measured at a mass health screening during the period from January through December, 2011. TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C, SBP, DBP, degree of obesity, body fat rate were measured and the relation between these obesity and blood pressure measurements to serum lipid levels were studied. As a results, TC, TG, LDL-C, body fat rate and degree of obesity increased linearly with advancing age. TC, TG and LDL-C increased linearly with increasing blood pressure, and these values were higher in hypertension group than that of normal group. TC, TG and SBP increased linearly with increasing degree of obesity, and these values were higher in obesity group than that of normal group. HDL-C decreased linearly with increasing degree of obesity, and these values were lower in obesity group than that of normal group. TC, TG, HDL-C, degree of obesity, body fat rate was positive correlation with each others, but these values negatively correlated to HDL-C. Principal component analysis, showed that subjects could be divided into the group having the hypertensive group(1st principal component), the obesity group(2nd principal component), the hyperlipidemia group(3rd principal component), and HDL-C(4th principal component). In multiple regression analysis, age, TC, TG and body fat rate were affected to HDL-C. Above results suggest that higher the degree of obesity and blood pressure, the higher the serum lipid levels.

This study aimed to examine the relation between subjective oral hygiene status of the elderly and oral health impact profile and to present it as basic data for the improvement of quality of life and oral care. The study subjects were 231 elderly people aged 65 and over. This study measured the oral health behavior and subjective oral hygiene status based on cross analysis by calculating the median of OHIP-14 to divide the above-median group into a subgroup and the below-median group into a superordinate group. Correlation and regression analyses were performed to examine the effects on the oral health impact profile. The oral health impact profile according to oral health behaviors was not significant. The oral health impact profile based on the subjective oral hygiene states is currently affected by oral hygiene status, masticatory problems, toothache, xerostomia and halitosis. As a result of regression analysis to confirm the effect on the oral health impact profile, much experience of masticatory problems, toothache, xerostomia and gum diseases is the most influential. This shows that the subjective oral hygiene status is not healthy as the oral health impact profile is high. It is considered necessary to establish an oral health promotion program to improve the quality of life of the elderly and active oral care methods in the future.
Impact of Self-Regulation on Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intention among Emergency Medical Workers

The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of the self- regulation of paramedics on their job satisfaction and turnover intention. The subjects in this study were 300 paramedics who worked at general and larger hospitals. A survey was conducted for about four months from May 6 to August 30, 2012. As for data analysis, the statistical package SPSS WIN 18.0 was employed to make a frequency analysis, and the reliability of the instrument used was checked. A factor analysis was made, and a correlation analysis was carried out to look for connections between the variables, and a multiple regression analysis was utilized. Concerning the general characteristics of the respondents, many of the respondents were female, in their 20s, unmarried and received junior-college or higher education. Self-regulation had a very close correlation to job satisfaction and turnover intention, and self-regulation affected the subfactors of job satisfaction. Self-regulation exerted an influence on job satisfaction and turnover intention. The findings of the study are expected to suggest how to boost the job satisfaction of paramedics to step up the development of the organization that they belong to.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the factors that influence verbal abuse in early childhood mothers and to examine the fitness of a path model among these variables. The goal of the study was to provide fundamental data on ways in which verbal abuse by early childhood mothers can be prevented. Methods: The data was collected by using self report questionnaires from December 7th to 25th, 2011. The subjects were 320 early childhood mothers who had children in kindergarten. In order to estimate the hypothesized model, the data was analyzed using the AMOS 18.0 programs for structural equation modeling. Results: Parenting stress, anger and anger expression demonstrated a direct effect on causing verbal abuse by early childhood mothers. This study suggest that parental education program are necessary which a early childhood mothers can be express positively about parenting stress and anger.
Affecting Factors on Clinical Competence of Nursing Students

The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of clinical competence and influencing factors of clinical competence in nursing students. Convenience sample of 197 subjects were recruited from two colleges in D city. The survey was conducted from March 2nd to 21th 2011. The data was collected by questionnaires and was analyzed with SPSS statistics 21.0. The mean score of clinical competence was 3.96. Significant positive correlation among clinical thinking disposition, problem solving ability, major satisfaction, satisfaction with clinical practice, clinical competence were found. It was found that the effect of clinical thinking disposition, completion of logic course, problem solving ability on clinical competence was 27.2% and clinical thinking disposition influence on clinical competence in nursing students. The study findings suggest that to develop the effective learning program with achievement level of clinical competency for nursing students.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the association of blood pressures and serum lipids, obesity indices in adults who examined health checkup. Study subjects were 2,734 adults of 20 years and over (1,344 males, 1,390 females), who underwent health package check-up at an university hospital during one year of 2012. We observed the age, sex, SBP, DBP, TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C, AI, BMI, body fat rate and waist circumference of study subjects after confirmed IRB of the hospital. As a results, TC, TG, AI was significantly higher in the group of hypertension than that of normotensive in both sex, but in only female, HDL-C and LDL-C was higher in the each group of normotensive and hypertension. BMI, body fat rate and waist circumference was significantly higher in the group of hypertension than that of normotensive in both sex. SBP and DBP was positive correlated with TC, TG, AI, BMI, body fat rate and waist circumference, but HDL-C and LDL-C was each correlated with positive and negative in female only. Age-adjusted odds ratio for hypertension by blood serum lipids and obesity indices was significantly increased in the group of abnormal than normal of TC, TG, BMI, but HDL-C and waist circumference was each increased in the abnormal group of female, and in the abnormal group of male. Above results suggested that the blood pressure related with serum lipid levels and obesity indices.
Effects of Chiropractic Using Sacro Occipital Technique on Pain and Physical Function in Patients with Low Back Pain

The aim of this study was to identify the effects of chiropractic treatment using Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT) on low back pain (LBP) and physical functions in patients with chronic LBP. Forty-five women with chronic LBP were randomly assigned to the Diversified Technique (DT), SOT or DT+SOT group and received chiropractic treatment two times a week for 8 weeks. LBP was measured using Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), Oswestry Disability Index (ODI), and Roland-Morris Disability Questionnaire (RMDQ) at baseline and after 4 and 8 weeks of treatment. Physical functions were evaluated using lumbar strength, flexibility, and body symmetries. After 4 and 8 weeks, VAS, ODI, and RMDQ were significantly decreased in all 3 groups (all p<.001). Lumbar strength, flexibility, and shoulder and pelvic balances were significantly improved in all 3 groups (all p<.05). In conclusion, our results suggest that SOT and DT both may be effective for reducing LBP and improving physical functions.

Alcohol affects human body very seriously by causing different types of disease. Therefore, a great deal of studies on alcohol addiction have been conducted. There is little, however, on skin problem in relation to alcohol abuse in domestic researches. This study, with this reason, has been conducted on alco holic women, especially who have sensitive skin, with pruritus. From May 1st until 20th, 2013, surveys using same questionnaires had been carried out for the two different groups. one with 114 female alcoholics from four different clinics for acoholics through the nation, the other with 106 residents without alcoholic problems in Cheong-ju and Seong-nam city. From the comparative study of those surveys, alcohol addicts showed higher scores on pruritus than those without alcoholic problems. In addition, Audit-K score had positive correlation with pruritus score, and drinking cycle and quantity, too, had been found related to pruritus. It is expected that the findings will be used as a fundamental data for treating alcohol addicts with skin disease and leading more active researches on this field for the future.

Measurements of CNR(Contrast to Noise Ratio) and SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio) of T-spine breathing technique (TBT) using spontaneous breathing and T-spine exhalation technique (TET) with full exhalation were carried out, and with which the more appropriate method was suggested. Both TBT and TET were examined in a sample of fifty-three patients who visit to our hospital for spinal disease from June 2012 to November 2012. All images were evaluated with CNR measured from the differences between the mean pixels and contrast density as setting ROI of spinous process, pedicle, vertebral body, intervertebral foramen, and intervertebral disk using Image J. SNR was measured with the mean pixels and the standard deviation as setting ROI of vertebral body using Image J. In CNR comparison and SNR comparison of TET and TBT, TBT was indicated as excellent in ROI of pedicle, vertebral body, intervertebral foramen and intervertebral disk, and statistical analysis were significant(p<.01). As TBT indicated excellent images compared to the existing T-spine lateral radiography, T-spine lateral radiography would be reestablished and significant as applying to various medical institutions.

In October 2011, a commercialized 100kW class floating photovoltaic system positive plant was installed at Hapcheon dam a multi-purpose reservoir the first time ever in the nation. Floating photovoltaic system differs in water float, mooring device and underwater cable process from land photovoltaic system. As for land and building photovoltaic power generation equipments, many installation cases and skilled experiences are available, and thus installation is not difficult. However, commercial power generation floating photovoltaic system, which is attempted for the first time in the nation, requires to be designed and installed through a series of processes like technical review and verification of data by process in comparison with similar cases. The structure of floating photovoltaic system, an equipment for float photovoltaic module and other electrical equipment, is required to withstand weather environments like wind or typhoon etc and yet not affect water quality negatively, and for implementation of this system, construction efficiency and economy etc should be considered comprehensively. In this paper, the techniques of installing floating photovoltaic structure, mooring device, underwater cable, electrical equipment and remote monitoring control system are explained. The 100kW floating PV system is operating with 15% average capacity factor.
Comparison of Artificial Neural Network for Partial Discharge Diagnosis

This paper investigates the diagnosis performance of Artificial Neural Network (ANN) depending on the structure and the input vector type of ANN, which has been used to detect the partial discharge to lead to the electric machinery deterioration. The diagnosis performance of one hidden layer and two hidden layer in ANN are compared. The performance using the 2048 time-series data and the performance using the feature input vector are compared. For measuring the partial discharge signal, the tip-to-plate, the sphere-to-sphere, the tip-to-tip, the tip-to-sphere and the sphere-to-plate electrodes are used respectively. For ANN`s learning, Matlab and C-code program are used. For evaluating the diagnosis performance of ANNs, the simulation studies are performed.

As shown in Figure 3, the general strength of the digital signal transmission system for transmitting a modulated signal compared with the case is improved by at least 10dB.

This paper describes the color features of smoke in each standard color model in order to present the most suitable color model for somke detection in video surveillance system. Histogram intersection technique is used to analyze the difference characteristics between color of smoke and color of non smoke. The considered standard color models are RGB, YCbCr, CIE-Lab, HSV, and if the calculated histogram intersection value is large for the considered color model, then the smoke spilt characteristics are not good in that color model. If the calculated histogram intersection value is small, then the smoke spilt characteristics are good in that color model. The analyzed result shows that the RGB and HSV color models are the most suitable for color model based smoke detection by performing respectively 0.14 and 0.156 for histogram intersection value.

This study was to investigate emergency medical service demands, fire service force of local governments, and relationship between these two factors for developing effective prehospital emergency medical services. For this, this study was measured the ratio of the number of patients transported and residents, ambulances and residents, patients transported and ambulance workers of 16 local governments. And then examined hypotheses. Data were collected from 2000 year to 2010 year. This study results indicated that average number of patients transported are significant differences not only between metropolitan district and general district, but also between capital area and non-capital area. And this study indicated that the fire service force are significant differences not only between metropolitan district and general district, but also between capital area and non-capital area. Also, the numbers of patients transported per ambulance, and the numbers of patients transported per ambulance worker were significant by regional groups. The number of patients transported per ambulance was a significant difference between the first half and the second half, but there was not a significant different the number of patients transported between the first half and the second half.

An important features of next-generation wireless networks will be heterogeneous environment in which a mobile terminal will be able to connect to multiple radio access networks and network selection mechanisms play an important role in ensuring QoS for users in this environment. In this paper, our study is concerned with an extension of the well known AHP to the group decision making methods. The users requested specific QoS divide into a group and the access networks with similar characteristics split into a group. Between each group, the one group is selected and within that group, the best access networks will be assigned according to priority order by network selection algorithm. The experimental results of MATLAB simulation show that the every user in each services can select the same network with decision value as large as 0.9. Consequently, the proposed network selection mechanism is more effective than conventional one in integrated UMTS and WLAN networks.

The developing unmanned underwater equipment can be used for underwater construction site such as underwater leveling works. If a optical camera is applied to the unmanned underwater equipment, recognition in underwater can be gone to low due to high turbidity in working field. To overcome this problem, a sonar will be installed to the unmanned underwater equipment. In this study, the resolution of the sonar and the quality test of the sonar image under high turbidity environment were conducted. And the method to indicate the boundary of the underwater construction site was proposed. By these results, the basic performance of the sonar was evaluated.

Currently the number of unsold housing is rapid increasing over again in the Seoul Metropolitan area. So this research analyzed effective and possible solutions focus on the potential customers and professionals. There was a research method setting up alternative solutions from the existing researches and the other suggestions though FGI (Focus Group Interview) by professionals. And then it investigated the efficient ways to resolve those problems through Conjoint Analysis. According to the result of this paper, firstly the customers considered `financial supports`, `self-rescue efforts for construction companies` and `taxation support` than the other. On the other hand, professionals evaluated `publicly purchased housing` and `new housing policies` were more essential solutions besides, both of them recognized the importance of ;financial support`. Secondly there were some ideas that it was necessary to more less control LTV (Loan to Value ratio) and DIT ( Debt to Income) and the LH (Korea Land and Housing Corporation) buy unsold housing. Finally the government and housing association had to manage and intervene the supply of housing within metropolitan area and restrict to building new properties and the construction companies actively provide less strict standard terms and conditions in contract for purchasing housing for instance, the decline of housing sale price or interest-free and so on.

Recently, there are increased importance on introducing Tax Incremental Financing as a means of project financing for urban regeneration. Values of implementing this financing method based on future revenue has to be considered not just as self-financing methods but as possibilities building virtuous circular structure in urban developments. In respond to domestic problems in developments led by private sector, it reinforces public sector`s roles by providing finance from the beginning of development. This provides concomitant structural & institutional supports for increasing not only social values for the public but also revenues for private developers. Therefore, this study starts with theoretical background study on TIF as well-known example, then analyzes PILOT used on Hudson Yard Development in NYC as an unique example sharing identical structural & conceptual characteristics. With these process, the study deducts suggestive implications on Tax Incremental Financing possibly reflected on domestic situation.

With speed up of railway, the demand for safety of the railroad transportation is on the increase in Korea`s conventional railways. In additions, freight trains with heavier axle load are required to run conventional railways. In order to solve these requirements, the increase of rail weight and the application of long rail system have been underway in conventional railways. However, the research on ties that is absolutely influencing the track stiffness in ballasted tracks has not been much progress. In this paper, the new H-typed tie is developed to increase the track stiffness and reduce the track irregularity. And from the structural analysis by FE program, the intial design drawing of the new H-typed tie is proposed.
A Study on Durability of Concrete According to Mix Condition by Marine Environment Exposure Experiment

Recently, much attention has focused on the study of eco-friendly concrete using recycled by-products for protecting marine ecosystem and durability of concrete exposed to marine condition. This study evaluated the durabilities of 4 different type of concrete mixtures(Control, Marine, Porous, New slag) with the seawater resistance by marine environment exposure experiment and freeze-thaw resistance, resistance to chloride ion penetration considering severe deterioration environment. In this study, we conducted seawater resistance using compressive strength according to the age(7/28/56 days) of specimen and curing conditions(standard(fresh water), tidal, immersion, artificial seawater). The results show that compressive strength of concrete exposed to marine environment exposure condition was lower than those of the standard curing condition. Also, compressive strength of New slag using eco-friendly materials for protecting marine ecosystem was lower than those of other concretes, there is need to improve the performance of New slag. The results for freeze-thaw resistance showed that all mixtures have excellent, but the Porous and New slag were lower than others. Also, the more improved resistance to chloride ion penetration than those of the Marine was measured in the New slag regardless of curing condition.
A Study on the Residential Satisfaction of Public Rental Housing in Chungbuk -Focusing on Physical and Social Factors-

The Purpose of this study is to propose policy directions for residential level improvement of residents in Public Rental Housing. In this study, the contents coverage was limited to the policy proposal on the efficient management of public rental housing by reviewing papers, understanding present situations of supply and management of Public Rental Housing and investigating residential conditions. First, the residential satisfaction of physical factors were different from by the type of public rental housing. The satisfaction of physical factors was highest in the kookmin rental housing, permanent and 50 years rental housing were lower than kookmin rental housing. Second, resident`s satisfactions of social factor such as neighborhood relationship and the image of apartment complex were differed by each housing types. However, there was no difference in satisfaction of community participation by each housing types.

Current global issue of climate change is growing and greenhouse gases occur in most cities. To solve the problem of climate change, the city should be changed to low-carbon structure. Low-carbon city planning is a step-by-step plan from the initial establishment, from design and operation of urban structure, to maintenance and management should be considered as an integrated whole process. Under this background, this study evaluated the whole process of low-carbon urban planning ways. For this step, divided into three steps and eight divisions, 30 sub-indicators are derived. Through domestic and foreign cases analysis studies and survey of the relevant experts, results were derived. In order to improve these points, in the intial planning establishment stage, planning of urban policy and institutional steps should be made and the plan should be appropriate to the local characteristics. In the design and operation of urban structure stage, detailed and feasible approach is needed and maintenance and management stage, participation of various stakeholders, including establishing governance and management practices could see the need.
GIS Based Analysis for the Capacity of Emergency Evacuation Shelters in Cheonan - Focused on Class-2 Shelters in Old Downtown

South Korea people and government pour growing interest on emergency evacuation shelters due to recent threatening of North Korea provocation. However, survey says the border area suffers lack of 278 shelters compared to population, needless to say the lack of class-2 shelter in case of provocation. Firstly, this study visualized the evacuation buffer area and summarized acceptable population for all class (1~4) shelters in Cheoan neighbor(dong). Specifically, for the class-2 shelter coverage in old downtown neighbor (Sungjung-dong, Jungang-dong, Munsung-dong), this study calculated evacuation excluded population and deficient shelter area through GIS buffer analysis. As a result, the old downtown needs
shelter area more that can accommodate 56%(30,657man) of the population.

Many school buildings are not applied seismic code because of small size structures. But it must be designed to show enough structural performance when subject to earthquake due to the fact that most of school buildings are generally used as public shelters when the natural disasters. In this study, the seismic risk of the reinforced concrete school building structure which is the most common types of school structures was evaluated by using the seismic performance evaluation methods. As a result, model structures don`t have enough seismic performance.

GPS is recognized the essential method to obtain the best result in the sphere of earth science that is setting of International Reference Frame, decision of the rotation coefficient about the earth rotation axis, detection of the crustal deformation, and observation of the diastrophism by high precision positioning except for navigation, geodetic survey and mapping. Therefore, in this study, it was attempted to build an expert service that enables non-experts to use high-precision GPS data processing. As a result, an Precise Point Positioning Solution that can maximize user convenience simply by entering the minimum required information for GPS data processing was developed, and the result of Precise Point Positioning Solution using GPS data provided by National Geographic Information Institute was compared with result of ITRF.
Impacts of Neighborhood`s Land Use and Transit Accessibility on Residents` Commuting Trips - A Case study of Seoul

The purpose of this study is to analyze neighborhood`s land use and transit accessibility affecting residents` commuting trips through a case study of Seoul. The main data source used for this research is 2010 Household Travel Survey data from which 34,071 observations were selected as the final sample. Then a statistic analysis was carried out by applying random intercept logit model. Analysis shows that a high level of residential density, land use mix in neighborhood results in more use of subway for commuting. And higher access to subway station leads to more use of subway. Therefore, a high dense and mixed use development as well as a high accessibility to transit station can contribute to activating the use of public transportation for commuting. Finally, the walking range of subway station affecting transit mode for commuting is estimated at between 432 to 525m.
Properties of Hot Weather Nuclear Power Plant Concrete with Water Cooling Method and Retarding used

In summer and winter, the difference between the temperature during the day and that during the night is high, which leads to various problems during concrete placement, such as cracks and defects in the concrete as well as low durability and strength. Although nuclear power plant concrete is widely used for placement in all seasons, particular attention must be paid to its quality during the summer. Therefore, we evaluated the effects of a cooling method for mixing water, which is a commonly used hot weather precooling method, and the use of a retarder, on the characteristics of Nuclear Power Plant concrete. In the cooling method for mixing water, cold water at 5 was used, with 50% of the water content consisting of ice flakes. The effects of using a retarder were evaluated by reviewing the characteristics of the cement at the unset stage and after hardening. To evaluate the characteristics of the unset cement, we measured the slump, air volumes, setting times, and pressure strengths after hardening. Furthermore, we measured the heat of hydration at different temperatures; the loss of heat was minimized using insulation. Both the slump time and the complete ageing time of the air volume were found to be 120 min at

In the case when the cooling method for mixing water was used and in the case when a retarder was used, the initial and final sets by penetration resistance were delayed, and the delay decreased with increasing air temperature. For the heat of hydration, the cooling method for mixing water not only lowered the maximum temperature but also delayed its attainment. However, the use of a retarder had no effect on the maximum temperature. Moreover, in the early ages (e.g., 3 and 7 days), the pressure strength of the concrete was lower than that of plain cement. However, the strength of 28-day concrete met the standard construction specifications.
Experimental Study on Optimal Operation Strategies for Energy Saving in Building Central Cooling System

In this study, optimal operation strategies to save the electric energy and power price in the building central cooling system is researched by experiments. The optimal strategies of demand response control and outdoor temperature reset control algorithms are applied by consideration the electric energy and power price according to the energy consumption characteristics. The suggested optimal control method shows better responses in the power price and energy consumption in comparison with the conventional one and saves energy consumption by 9.5% and electronic price by 15.7%, respectively.

The advanced absorbent that used amine mixture with different order were developed to separate carbon dioxide emitted from fossil fuel power plant. The carbon dioxide absorption capacity for mixtures with different amine(primary, secondary and tertiary) were investigated according to
partial pressure. The carbon dioxide absorption capacity at the same pressure is ordered as 3DMA1P 30wt%>3DMA1P 27wt%+MEA 3wt%>3DMA1P 27wt%+DEA 3wt%. The result indicates that mixing tertiary amine with primary amine yields more efficient carbon dioxide absorbent than mixing tertiary with secondary amine does. Finally, the predicted semi-empirical gas-liquid equilibrium model fitted with experimental results.
