Optimum Configuration of Gutters for Glasshouses Using ANSYS and ADAMS

A gutter is generally a fixed beneath the edge of a roof to carry off rainwater, or a narrow trough that collects rainwater from the roof of a building to diverts it from the structure, typically into a drain. Reasonable designs reduce the mass of the gutters (~ 16.9%), make it faster and easier to assemble, and gives it consistent strength and integrity (about 10%). New gutter systems are presented according to the results of structural analyses performed by ANSYS and ADAMS/Durability Hot Spots. In addition, the CATIA program can improve the precision of the 3D system simulations. The design of a gutter system installations also needs to comply with the specific rainfall intensities and adequate overflow provisions needs to be provided to prevent water from sides of the roofs during heavy rainfall periods. The principle outcome of this work is a computational design tool that can be used to improve the gutter performance considering a variety of factors (gutter geometry, drainage and rainfall intensity). A good gutter design must satisfy many criteria, including durability, low cost, and ease of repair and cleaning.
Fatigue Behavior of PP-LFT used in FEM Carreir with Variation of Stress Ratio

Plastics have brought a significant progress in reducing the weight of automotive parts and improving gas emissions by replacing steel parts. The front end module (FEM) carrier, which was made from long glass fiber reinforced polypropylene (PP-LFT), is one of the most successful examples. On the other hand, more research on the fatigue behavior and vibration durability of automotive plastic parts will be needed to improve the long-term reliability. This paper analyzed the durability of the PP-LFT, which is fundamental to fatigue design and analysis of FEM carrier. Various fatigue tests were conducted at different stress ratios to evaluate the relationship between the fatigue life and stress amplitude or mean stress level. In the case of a fixed stress amplitude, the change in fatigue life with the stress ratio was 2~6% larger than the case of fixed maximum stress. Furthermore, this study observed the mechanism of initiation and propagation of the fatigue cracks in PP-LFT by scanning electron microscopy.
Heat transfer characteristics of the heat pipe using simplified heat transfer model

The objective of this study was to examine numerically the heat transfer and flow characteristics of the heat pipe with a wick using the simplified heat transfer model to enhance the cooling effects of high heat flux devices and minimizing the energy consumption for electric vehicles. The heat pipe with a wick was analyzed using commercial software with COMSOL and water was used as the working fluid. The velocity and temperature characteristics of the heat pipe were simulated numerically along the heat pipe and the local and average Nusselt numbers were calculated. As a result, the driving force occurred because of the temperature difference between the hot side and the cold side. The heat transfer of the heat pipe occurred from the hot side to the cold side and increased toward the center position. In addition, the average Nusselt numbers were 1.88 for the hot side and 0.1 for the cold side, and the maximum Nusselt number was 4.47 for the hot side and 0.7 for the cold side.

This study represents the effective fire and smoke control in the case of fire in deep underground tunnels, even if the exhaust system can be calculated, the optimal smoke capacity can be determined by establishing technical standards for the transverse ventilation system focusing on the design as a basis for deriving the parameters for utilization. Numerical analyses were performed using the FDS program as a function of the unsteady flow in a deep underground tunnel fire. The analysis results were calculated within 250 m smoke using an inside wind velocity of 0m/s when the capacity of smoke was exhausted,

It is known that the severest loading condition is the buckling case in the structural design of an outer tie rod. The optimum design of the OTR was suggested considering the buckling performance. The aluminum alloy was investigated as a steel substitute. Then, the structural optimization based on the response surface method and the kriging interpolation method were performed.
A Study on Hopper Design for Minimizing the Wrapage Deformation at Injection Molding Processes

Injection molding is a high efficient manufacturing technology for producing plastic parts. On the other hand, the warpage of molded plastic parts is an ubiquitous problem in the injection molding process. The main objective of this study was to minimize the amount of warpage occurring in the injection molding process of a hopper of ATDPS made of crystalline polymer (PP) instead of amorphous polymer (ABS). The moldflow CAE simulation was conducted for the molding process of the hopper to clarify the injection moldability, shear rate, shear stress, warpage by changing the gate shape and the number of ribs installed on the top of the hopper flange. The wide gate shape of runner system and multiple rib installation were found to be useful for minimizing the warpage of the hopper. The validity of the CAE simulations was supported by the injection molding experiment for the optimized design case.
A Study on Control of Heat Generation in Computer using Thermoelectric Cooling System

In recent years, the amount of heat generated inside of the computer has more increased because of high performance, multi-function, miniaturization and light weight. It is necessary to control the effective heat generation to improve performance and life extension of the computer. In this study, thermoelectric cooling system was manufactured using thermoelectric module and was attached to computer in order to control the heat generated inside computer. And the temperature distributions inside computer were experimentally measured and compared with and without thermoelectric cooling system to investigate the effect of cooling system. Also, to estimate the new cooling system which can substitute for the existing computer cooling system, temperature distributions inside computer were calculated by numerical analysis when there was no cooling system and was applied only cooling system to computer.
Study of the geometry of the flow path of a Pressure Reducing Valve to Suppress the Cavitations

This study examined the relationship between the shape of the inside of the PRV and the cavitation of the water supply system of an apartment house. In this paper, nine types of PRV with different gaps and shapes were analyzed numerically using a 3D model embedded in the commercial code, ANSYS-CFX. The lowest pressure and the maximum velocity occurred at the narrow gap, which is located at the between the stem and the disk. When the gap size was increased, the vapor volume fraction was always greater than 0, but the vapor volume fraction of the type of expansion pipe approached 0. These results indicate that the cavitation of PRV can be reduced by a shape change to the type of expansion pipe.

I analyzed accompaniment Style and solo techniques Of Jimmy Blanton with the Song "Cotton tail and MR.JB Blues" Which He Performed with Duke Ellington. I learned a lot while I`m analyzing his Performing Style from Jimmy Blanton, such as Target Note playing, using Chord Tones and Arpeggios, Melodic Solo Style, Jazz Style Bowing Technique, Question and Answer Phrasing etc. I could notice That He Was the true Pioneer of the First Bass player In the Early Jazz days.
Effects of Contents Narrativity on the Related Contents Preference: Surveying on Korean College Students

This study examined the effects of the level of narrativity of a culture content on the level of preference of a related culture content. The culture contents were categorized into novels, cartoons and TV programs according to the content type, and into dramas, comedies, and actions by the contents genre because previous studies found a high level of narrativity in novels and dramas. Based on the survey data on the movie preference, the following were found. First, when people prefer novels with high-level narrativity, rather than TV programs, which have low-level narrativity in a certain genre, they prefer watching movies in the same genre. Second, this relationship is even more reinforced when the genre of the original of the movie is drama, which has high-level narrativity, rather than comedies or actions, which have low-level narrativity. Narrativity plays an important role in the movie preference, especially when it comes to movie originals.
A study on How Korean Wave`s characteristic effect on sponsorship

With the purpose of studying the effects of K-wave event sponsorship on corporate image, surveys were conducted against visitors at K-wave marketing events in Tokyo and Nagoya which yielded 199 viable samples. These samples were subjected to descriptive and multivariate statistics analysis. Average and standard deviation were calculated and measured for total correlation coefficient to find out characterize of study variables. A Cronbach`s alpha coefficient exceeding 0.7 indicated a good to excellent credibility of the measuring instrument. In addition, exploratory factor analysis was employed to establish validity of the measuring instrument. In order to determine the characteristics of K-wave events and the cause and relation of the subsequent effects on corporate image that stems from the aforementioned characteristics, 4 sub hypotheses were derived from 1 major hypothesis, of which 3 were determined to have a substantial and meaningful influence on the final outcome while 1 was rejected. However, due to lack of advance research, additional and continuous studies are warranted to establish a systemized theory in this field and further on, to observe such theories bear fruit in real world applications in the industry.

Fools usually make people laugh through their comic appearances and foolish behaviors. A fool in King Lear also gives us pleasure by his unique jokes and humors, however, he is not so foolish. He is very wise and has the intuition to penetrate people`s mind and understands the facts. He predicts the future, criticizes the untrueness and heals the wounded mind. He always keeps Lear company and makes him realize his own foolishness. After getting out of his own suffering and fear, Lear experiences his healing process of purification with the help of the fool. In this respect, the fool in King Lear is a wise helper and healer for King Lear.
Effects of Social Responsibility and GSCM Practice on Environmental Performance and Organizational Performance

This study conducted empirical analysis of the association between the factors of GSCM corporation practice and social responsibility affecting environmental performance and organizational performance. Smart PLS 2.0 and SPSS 18.0 were used to examine a sample of 93 replies collected from corporations that had adopted GSCM. The results of hypothesis testing were as follows. First, social responsibility has a positive effect on the environmental performance of corporation complying with legal responsibility in environment related sectors. Second, internal environmental management and market environment have positive effects on the environmental performance. Third, corporations with a high level of environmental performance have high degrees of organizational performance. The results of this study are expected to have practical implications to corporations that will adopt GSCM in the near future.
A Weighted Mean Squared Error Approach Based on the Tchebycheff Metric in Multiresponse Optimization

Multiresponse optimization (MRO) seeks to find the setting of input variables, which optimizes the multiple responses simultaneously. The approach of weighted mean squared error (WMSE) minimization for MRO imposes a different weight on the squared bias and variance, which are the two components of the mean squared error (MSE). To date, a weighted sum-based method has been proposed for WMSE minimization. On the other hand, this method has a limitation in that it cannot find the most preferred solution located in a nonconvex region in objective function space. This paper proposes a Tchebycheff metric-based method to overcome the limitations of the weighted sum-based method.
Effects of Multicultural understanding subject on the Empathy and Multicultural Attitude of Nursing Student

This study examined the effectiveness according to multicultural attitude and emphatic ability of nursing students learning the multi-culture-understanding subject. A 13-week program aimed at understanding multi-cultural aspects was given to 110 freshmen, who were taking the subject and agreed to participate in the research. Analysis by a paired t-test using ANOVA of SPSS 18.0 and posteriori tests by Scheffe were performed. Through this subject, the nursing students showed improved attitude and emphatic ability. The increase in emphatic ability showed a slight difference according to age (lower) and the existence of foreign friends, while the attitude had small distinction in areas, such as activeness and openness. The multi-culture-understanding subject has a positive effect in attitude and emphatic ability. In the future, there must be verification and qualification of the program because it improves the multicultural capability.
The Mediating Effect of Stress Management Format on Influence Over Post Traumatic Stress Disorder on Traumatic Case Experience of Police Officers

The purpose of research is to investigate mediating effect of stress management on influence over post traumatic stress disorder with traumatic case experience. In order to investigate, police officers from 4 police stations in Jeju were selected as subjects, 297 police officers. Data processing analysis of the research was verified by going through Baron & Kenny`s regression analysis in 4 phases and Sobel Test was done to verify significance level on mediation effect. Through the research by confirming the manifestation route of post traumatic stress disorder symptom after traumatic case experience, assisted in setting up of appropriate post traumatic stress disorder intervention program and the purpose of research is to ultimately help police officers to break free from post traumatic stress and establish positive and dynamic work environment.

This study was the content and flow of the present study Karate match. 2011, second elimination rounds national developmen, 7th Korea Open International Championships and National development in first elimination rounds, 2012 is a World Cup game against Karate1 in Busan. Man Of The match in the final three games by 5 grade were selected to match match 15, 30 people. I was about to score the study Karate and attack techniques. The conclusion is as follows: 1) In this study, there was a significant difference in use between the class score and the frequency of use of attack technology. The frequency of use of the technology of attack of each class per 60kg or less, 67kg or less, 75kg or less, was the order of 84kg and more than 84kg or less. Frequency of use disonchigi, apsonchigi, apdollyeochagi, geolgi aphurigi. It was followed by scores of attack technology of class per 84kg or more, 60kg or less, 67kg or less, 75kg or less, the following 84kg. 2) Winner has a lot of attack skills than the loser. The game was a draw and the loser disonchigi, apdollyeochagi, apsonchigi. The winner is aphurigi, apdollyeochagi, apsonchigi in the order of many uses.
A Study on the Problem and Improvement Plan of Management of Public Land Parcels

This study analyzes the status and problems of current parcel management in the public land, and it suggests measures for improvement based on the analysis. For this, it looked into the status and problems of the public land`s parcel management. One of the major problems was that the number of parcels was continuously increasing due to insufficient parcel management. The study found that the number was increasing every year by 128,520 parcels on average as of 2008. It also found that there was also non-coincidence between the status and the land use conditions in the cadastral records. An increasing set of minute parcels (minute polygon) has appeared because of these outstanding issues, and these errors have been included in the statistics survey on parcels, negatively influencing the credibility of the data. This study suggests ways to improve these issues including reduction in the number of parcels through annexation, enhancement of credibility of cadastral information through cadastral confirmation survey, and registration and management of public land parcels in consideration of the current status.

Effect of the Personal Agency Beliefs in the Relationship between the Commitment to a Career Choice and Major Satisfaction of College Student

The aim of this study was to identify a variables that can affect Commitment to a Career Choice focusing mainly on the satisfaction with one`s major in college and personal agency beliefs. This research carried out a survey on a total of 626 students at 4-year public and private university. The information is processed using the SPSSWIN19.0 program, which carried out frequency analysis, reliability measurement, one-way ANOVA, linear regression analysis, multiple moderating regression analysis, and three-step mediate regression analysis. The results of this study showed that groups showing greater satisfaction with their major had a higher level of commitment to a career choice. Personal beliefs was one thing that can achieve partial mediation or complete mediation when it comes to the relationship between the satisfaction of their major and commitment to a career choice.
The Effect of Genibo Program Based Robot Learning on a Pre-Schoolers` Emotional Development

The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of Genibo program robot-based learning(R-Learning) on a pre-schooler`s mental state. To achieve above study purpose, the subject of this study was selected 46(teacher 2, five years old pre-schooler 44) from pre-school childrens in Kyongki Y city(R-Learning activity participants group 21: boys 10, girls 11. non-participants 25: boys 13, girls 12). R-Learning program is consist of 5 field about 20 contents using Genibo robot, were applied to the experimental group and the pre-post test was conducted using the EQ assessment tool and observations. The data were analyzed by t-test using the SPSS(ver 18.0) program. The results were as follows: First, the exposure of robots to pre-schoolers in practical situation has shown positive influence to the children`s emotional well-being. Positive improvements were observed in the four sub categories of the EQ assessment after exposure. Second, the Genibo used for this study, is a biomimetic AI based robot mimicking the behavior of a pet dog. This is related more or less to the specifications of a pre-school education where animals are used as a `friendly medium` to facilitate the learning process. Third, the robot exposure gave benefit to all the ones in the sample, regardless of sex. Furthermore, It is suggested that promising potential for robots to be utilized as a new educational media plus facilitator, R-Learning is related more or less to the specifications of a pre-school education where animals are used as a `friendly medium` to facilitate the learning process, and when applying them for education, stereotyping the likes of sex is overrated - instead, the focus should be more on the pre-schoolers` / childrens` individual traits, learning curve differences and alike.
Analysis on the Effects and Influences of Mindfulness Based Breathing and Body Scan for Elderly Women`s Attentive Concentration

This study is analized with how Mindfulness Based Breathing and Body Scan influences to elderly women`s attentive concentration measured by 2-channel system EEG(Electroencephalogram) which method is objectively and determinately. The subjects in this study are 60 aged over 65years of elderly women in K city, who were divided into two groups; such as 30 of the experimental group and 30 of the control group checked by EEG before and after the treatment. The study started from March to July in 2013. The treatment was conducted by ones a week, 60minutes a time for 16 weeks. The result in experimental group is indicated as followed. The Attention Quotient Lt(69.61/70.85, p<.024) showed higher score after treatment, and Attention Quotient Rate Lt(4.22/3.75, p<.037), Attention Quotient Rate Rt(4.29/3.70, p<.019) did show statistically lower score after treatment. Attention Quotient is shown attentive concentration and awareness in the brain. Therefore, Mindfulness Based Breathing and Body Scan is proved the value and efficiency for activating elderly women`s attentive concentration by a way of practical using in neuroscience.
A Study for Pedestrian`s Safety: Relating to TPB

On roads vehicles are the bossy, while pedestrians are the frangible. The current paper has a purpose for contributing to pedestrian`s safety. First, it studies the association between demographic parameters and TPB(Theory of Planned Behavior)`s variables(pedestrian`s attitude toward crossing behavior in roads, personal norm, etc.) and his/her crossing intention, perceived risk while crossing, and the experience of past traffic accidents. Its sample comes from a specific population(college students). Further, the present study endeavors to explain the portion of human cognitive failure/error, impulsiveness, time perspective, and probabilistic/math-logical judgment ability in pedestrian`s riky crossings on roads. Research results found that TPB variables and such a few human characteristics have some significant association with the risky crossing intention on the road. Considering the human psychological portion in pedestrian accidents would help us prevent the accidents and reduce unhappiness of the accidents and, further, economic loss and insurance expenditure related with the accidents.
Research on the Normalization Schemes for Insolvent Development Site on Mutual Savings Banks

This study analyzed the normalization cases of the mutual savings bank insolvency PF (MSBIPF) to suggest the appropriate improvements according to the purpose. The results were as follows. First, the original intention to normalize the MSBIPF was unsuccessful. This may be caused by the daunting situation of the real estate market along with the complex and shared interests. On the other hand, it can be responsible for the lack of evidence and related regulations as well as the lukewarm attitude on public projects. Active institutional settings are warranted to compensate the remaining insolvent businesses to PF even today and in the future. The data related to the recognized sites as the poorest 32 PF sites was compared primarily to normalize by KAMCO and the relevant sites. The area variable was the only significant variable according to the correlation analysis and logit analysis. The direct investment, diverse PF-backed bonds and the activation of the Ritz can be suggested as alternative ways of normalization with respect to the issue of the KAMCO.
Verification of the Structural Relationship Model of Calling to Optimism, Work Hope and Supportive Parenting

This study examined the effect on calling and the role of optimism, work hope, religion and supportive parenting. Furthermore, this study tested if personal characteristic variables (optimism and work hope) and personal environmental variables (religion and supportive parenting) would affect how the path would reach. 277 male and female undergraduate students were surveyed. The data was analyzed by AMOS and SPSS. The results were as follows. First, structural equation modeling analyses indicated that supportive parenting and optimism had a direct influence on work hope, and work hope had a significant effect on calling. Religion was not influenced by calling. Second, predictors including work hope, optimism, and supportive parenting accounted for calling well. The implication for practice and future research on calling in counseling and education area are discussed.
The Effect of Physical Self-Concept and Leisure Sport Participation Level on Leisure Sport Satisfaction

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among physical self-concept, leisure sport participation satisfaction, and leisure sport participation level. By analysing a total of 353 university students participating in leisure sport with structural equation modeling through AMOS 20.0 statistics program, this study found the followings. First, the physical self-concept has a positive influence on leisure sport participation satisfaction. Second, leisure sport participation level has a positive influence on leisure sport participation satisfaction. Third, there was no significant mediating effect of leisure sport participation level on the relationship between physical self-concept and leisure sport participation satisfaction.

The purpose of this study is to have a new understanding of a research related with adjustment of infants and toddlers of what has gone before to child care center and find the progressive direction of study related with it in the future, as examining research trends related with adjustment of infants and toddlers to child care center in the country. For this, this article selected 126 research papers related with adjustment of infants and toddlers that were published from 1996 to 2013. The results of study are as follows: First, there were the highest numbers of study from 2009 to 2013, as the result of analysis by date of research. Second, there are accomplished the most researches targeting infants and toddlers, parents and educare teachers. Third, there were the highest numbers of study related with a influence factor on adjustment of infants and toddlers to child care center, as the result of analysis depending on subjects of research. Fourth, the quantitative researches were mainly conducted for examining a correlation with the factors related with adjustment of infants and toddlers to child care center, as the result of analysis depending on the method of study.

The aim of this study was to identify the significant factors for deciding yacht marina harbor location, and to use them for policy decision of a yacht marina project of local government. For this purpose, 2 top factors, 11 sub-factors and 50 specific factors were determined through a theoretical review and specialist interviews. This was followed by a questionnaire survey given to residents of Jeju and yacht tourists within the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province only. The results showed that marine safety is significant and the development must be made for local economic growth and by the participation of local residents.

This study was conducted as a descriptive study with the aim of identifying the effects of safety knowledge and safety control on early childhood teachers` safety performance. Data collection for the study was carried out between October
, 2014 by surveying 187 early childhood teachers working in child day care center and kindergarten located in P, K, & Y city. Measures were subjects` safety knowledge, safety control, and safety performance. For the analysis of the data, the statistical methods of frequency, mean and standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson`s correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis were employed. When the category of safety performance was analyzed by general features, marital status, educational career, and degree of assistance of safety education, there were significant differences. Safety performance correlated positively with safety knowledge and safety control. Factors affecting early childhood teachers` safety performance were identified in the order of safety knowledge and safety control and the explanatory power was 60.0%. The findings of the study indicate that in order to increase early childhood teachers` safety performance, their safety knowledge and safety control have to be enhanced.

The globalization of the banking industry has highlighted the importance of the internal stability of the banks. For internal stability, the efficiency and productivity of the bank becomes more important, and the bank must be improved. To improve the efficiency and productivity, a methodology for analyzing the current state of the bank`s needs was made based on the BCC of DEA and the Malmquist productivity index. This model was developed as a diagnostic method that can analyze the efficiency and productivity of the bank. As a result of the analysis, the position of the bank and the position of the model studied were similar. The BCC-Malmquist model can be applied to the other areas and provide a management strategy.

We studied the financial performance of ammunition stockpile reliability program on the Defense Management. We proposed the direct effect analysis, the indirect effect analysis and the combat power reinforcement effect as the financial performance analysis methodology. And, we estimated the financial performance using the proposed methods and the data of 2013 ASRP`s data The financial performance by direct effect and indirect effect analysis was 99.96billion won and 303.7billion won. Also, The financial performance by reinforced Combat power reinforcement was 12.06 billion won. Therefore, the total financial performance of Ammunition Stockpile Reliability Program was 52.43 billion won.

Firms are becoming increasingly dependent on external resources for a competitive advantage in environmental turbulence, the requisite speed of organizational change. Therefore, they focused on an `Open Innovation`. This study examined the relationships among entrepreneurial orientation, learning orientation, open innovation, and new product development. The results provide broad support for the following: (1) entrepreneurial orientation and learning orientation strongly drive open innovation, (2) open innovation has a significant effect on new product development, and (3) learning orientation has a positive effect on open innovation and new product development. These results provide unique insight into how firms develop new product through open innovation. This study also addresses the implications of these results and the possible limitations of the research.
A Study on Parents` Satisfaction of Contracting-Out System in Employer-Supported Childcare Centers - Focused on the Comparison of Difference Between National·Public·Private Childcare Centers and Contracted-Out·In-House Services -

This study is intended to look into parents` satisfaction of contracting-out system in employer-supported childcare centers. To achieve this, a survey was carried out to 400 parents who use national, public and private employer-supported childcare centers. The results were as follows. First, employer-supported childcare factors were the qualities of childcare environment, childcare program and early childhood teacher in both contracted-out and in-house services. The satisfaction with facility, program, operation and childcare training was improved in good employer-supported childcare factors And the satisfaction with the relationship between these factors could improve the expectation for the use of employer-supported childcare centers. Second, the difference in the operation of employer-supported childcare centers showed that the most preferred size was 50 to 74 children. The contracted-out services was more preferred than in-house services. And the location of on-the-job facility was more preferred than off-the-job facility. As stated above, the preference of employer-supported childcare centers was more raised than that of general kindergartens or childcare centers by an increase in the trend of working child parents` dual income. In other words, small and medium sized childcare centers of some 50 children were more preferred than large scaled childcare centers. Consequently, the retainment of childcare programs, facilities and quality teachers contracted out to professional childcare centers can improve the satisfaction with them.

This study analyze empirically how the characteristics of a venture business` founder and company development stage will affect on B2B transactions and business management difficulties based on "2012 Survey of Korea Venture Firms". According to this study, there are different frequencies of difficulties in B2B transactions depending on the founder`s age and educational background as well as different recognitions about business management difficulties with considering the founder`s age, educational background, major and other factors. It is analyzed that in educational background factor, master`s degree and in major factor, humanities and social science show comparatively frequent business management difficulties. On the other hand, it is analyzed that there is not meaningful difference in the recognition about the difficulty-frequency in B2B transactions in each company growth stage. It is considered that the difficulties occur frequently in every company growth stage but, these types of difficulties are solved routinely. At the Exit phase, however, there is high recognition about business management difficulties as the transaction with the companies in this stage is avoided.
A Study on the Effects of Youth Home Environment on Violent Behavior and Suicidal Thoughts

This study examined the effects of the youth home environment on violent behavior and suicidal thoughts. The survey was conducted from March 5, 2014 to July 02 on a juvenile male and female target group of 430 people subjects. Frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis were conducted using SPSS Win 18.0 with verification at the 5% significant level. The results of the study were as follows: First, the support of the father had a negative influence on violent behavior. Second, the support of both the father and mother, communication with the father and mother, and the mother`s parenting attitude have a negative influence on suicidal thoughts. Third, the youth`s violent behavior has a positive influence on the suicidal thoughts. This study provides essential data for making polices to resolve the youth crisis behaviors.
A Study of TOM(Turn-of-the-Month) Effect in KOSDAQ Market

The purpose of this study is to verify TOM(turn-of-the-month) effect in the Kosdaq market, and that to compare to TOM effect of KOSPI for supporting degree of identification and to find new features. For this study, as the study basis sample, we used the daily data of the KOSDAQ from January 1996 to December 2013 and verified the TOM effect through yearly, monthly, classification by event as financial crisis, different period of TOM in order to clarify the effect of the KOSPI and KOSDAQ. As a result, We find that the TOM effect in KOSDAQ is always present uniformly in yearly, monthly, event-specific, which unlike TOM period also in KOSPI and generally TOM effect in KOSDAQ market which has larger volatility was appeared more pronouncedly than KOSPI market, and particularly TOM effect of KOSDAQ was larger than that of KOSPI on financial crisis occasion. But TOM effect of KOSDAQ was less stable than KOSPI.

The purpose of this study was to analyze Olympism. For analysis, a Q methodology was applied, which is useful for identifying individual`s subjectivity structure. The research question raised in this study included what is Olympism. For this study, a Q-sample, which made 34 statements exploring the Olympism attitude and value system, was used. In addition, a P-sample was composed of 35 statements. Seventeen people with non-physical education involvement and 18 athletic players were selected. This study assessed the changes in Korea`s industrial structure to analyze the linkage between years 1995-2000 -2005-2009 Industry Input-Output Tables to access the constant changes in the structure of the inter-industry linkage analysis. First, the Korean economy during the period of analysis was based on solid growth from 1,190 trillion won in 1995 to 2,775 trillion won in 2009. This study examined the role of the demographic characteristics at relationship between customer orientation and flight attendants` burnout in airlines. As a result, the following findings were obtained. First, more than 30 years of age had a negative impact on depersonalization. Under age 30 and emotional exhaustion negatively affected customer orientation. Second, regardless of the rank. depersonalization negatively affected the customer orientation, and emotional exhaustion of the crew had a negative impact on the customer orientation. Third, more than 8 years experience of depersonalization had a negative influence on the customer orientation. Less than eight years experience of depersonalization and emotional exhaustion had a negative influence on the customer orientation.

This study examined the effect of sociocultural attitudes toward the appearance of depression and psychological well-being of fitness in adult women. The subjects of this study consisted of 472 healthy adult woman. The used instruments were Jung (2011) for measuring the sociocultural attitudes toward appearance scale, Seo (2006) for measuring the depression scale, and Yang (2000) for measuring the psychological well-being scale. The data was analyzed by exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results are as follows. First, among the subscales of sociocultural attitudes toward appearance, stress positively influenced depression. Second, among the subscales of sociocultural attitudes toward appearance, internalization-general negatively influenced hedonic enjoyment, self-realization, and a feeling of flow, but information positively influenced it. In addition, internalization-athlete positively influenced the feeling of competence, self-realization. Third, depression negatively influenced hedonic enjoyment, self-realization, and the feeling of flow.
Effect of GM-CSF on Porcine Parthenotes Development

Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) is an important hematopoietic growth factor and immune modulator. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of GM-CSF on the development and cell number of porcine parthenotes, as well as on their expression of implantation-related genes. In the present study, porcine parthenogenatic activated embryos were cultured in a protein-free culture medium in the absence or presence of 5, 10 and 20 ng/ml GM-CSF for 7 days. The percentage of blastocyst formation, total cell number and gene expressions were evaluated. The results showed that the addition of 20 ng/ml GM-CSF to protein-free culture medium significantly increased the blastocoel formation (
, p < 0.05). In addition, the cell number also increased when they were cultured in the presence of 20 ng/ml GM-CSF (
, p < 0.05). A real time reverse transcripts polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) showed that GM-CSF enhances mRNA expression of the interleukin-6, but does not influence the leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) receptor mRNA expression in blastocyst stage parthenotes. These results suggest that GM-CSF may enhance the viability of porcine embryos developing in vitro in a defined culture medium.

This study examined the symptoms of temporomandibular disorder and the relationship with the psychological character using Symptom Check List-90-Revision (SCL-90-R). The self-administered questionnaire survey was implemented from March 1, 2014 to June 30, 2014 targeting 294 University Students in Daejeon and Gangwon area aged 20-31 years old (Men 140 persons, Women 54 persons). The data showed that the teeth grinding and the unilateral chewing out of corrupt practices in the mouth in relation to the use of the lower jaw showed a significant correlation (p<0.01) with the depth of symptoms of temporomandibular disorder, as the result of the simple psychodiagnosis inspection (SCL-90-R), and a significant correlation (p<0.05) with the depth of symptoms of temporomandibular disorder in the item excluding phobic anxiety (PHOB). The somatization (SOM) criteria out of individual psychological characteristic appeared to have the significant plus (+) effect on the depth of symptoms of temporomandibular disorder as a result of implementing multiple regression analysis by controlling the individual characteristic variables to check the influence of the psychological character of the study object on the symptom of temporomandibular disorder.

Relationship among impaired fasting glucose and diabetes and periodontal disease

This study examined the relationships among impaired fasting glucose (IFG), diabetes and periodontal disease. The data from 10,856 adults (aged over 19 years) was derived from the Fifth Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, which was conducted in 2010 and 2012. Adjusting the related confounders, multiple logistic regression analysis showed that periodontitis were related to gender, age, education level, smoking and diabetic status (p<0.001). These findings suggest that abnormal fasting glucose, which is a predisposing factor for diabetes mellitus, does not appear to be a risk indicator for periodontal disease. On the other hand, if patients do not take steps to prevent or delay diabetes, prediabetes is likely to develop into type 2 diabetes within 10 years. Therefore, patients with prediabetes need to undergo continuous examinations and management of periodontal disease.

This study conducted influencing and mediated effect on stroke to lead correct health behavior of stroke patients and tried to provide preliminary data of stroke prevention. It used stage 4 and 5 data of a national health and nutrition examination survey, analysis method was frequency analysis, Chi-square test, multiple logistic regression and structural equation modeling. In case of male, factors affecting to stroke were age, job, self-related health, alcohol, hypertention and diabetes. In case of female, age, job, self-related health, stress level and hypertention affected to stroke. In tested results on whether or not mediated effect of preceding disease exists, 5.80 difference in
between partial mediated modeling and full mediated modeling was statistically significant(p<0.01). Therefore, partial mediated modeling was adequate to this study. We need preventive health education for changing wrong health behaviors and policy that strengthens health care network. If someone has preceding disease, they need long-term diagnosis for health condition and continuous improvement in life style.

The purpose of this study was to investigate physical activity level, sleep quality, attention control, and self-regulated learning along to smartphone addiction level among college students. The data were obtained from 269 college students by structured questionnaire, analyzed using SPSS 18.0. The results showed that significant differences with smartphone addictoin level and, gender, grade level, daily using time, physical activity level, sleep quality and attention control. Smartphone addictoin level have correlations with physical activity level, sleep quality, attention control, and self-regulated learning. To prevent the falling off of physical strength and poor school performance, it is needed a strategies for control of smartphone addiction.
Microbiological Hazard Analysis for HACCP System Application to fermented milk

The aim of this research was to apply a HACCP system (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) to fermented milk. The main ingredients of fermented milk, work facilities and workers were obtained from a company named YD, which is located in Seobuk-gu, Cheonan-si between November 5 2013 to April 13, 2014. A manufacturing process chart was prepared by referring to the manufacturing process of fermented milk manufacturers in common. The manufacturing process chart was made with raw materials; Raw milk, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Oligosaccharides, Lactic Acid bacteria and Subsidiary ingredients, Warehousing of packaging materials, Storage, Input, Preheating, Mixing, Homogeneity, Sterilization, Precooling, Culture, Filtration, In packaging, Out packaging, Storage, and Consignment, as listed Table 1. Changes in the Sensory Function after Transcranial Direct Stimulation on Dorsolateral Prefrontal Cortex Area

Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is a neuromodulatory technique that delivers a low-intensity direct current to the cortical areas, thereby facilitating or inhibiting spontaneous neuronal activity. This study was designed to examine the changes in various sensory functions after tDCS. A single-center, single-blinded, randomized trial was conducted to determine the effect of a single session (August 4 to August 29) of tDCS with the current perception threshold (CPT) in 50 healthy volunteers. Nerve conduction studies (NCS) were performed in relation to the median sensory and motor nerves on the dominant hand to discriminate peripheral nerve lesions. The subjects received anodal tDCS with 1mA for 15 minutes under two different conditions, with 25 subjects in each group. The conditions were as follows: tDCS on the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) and sham tDCS on DLPFC. The parameters of the CPT was recorded with a Neurometer
at frequencies of 2000, 250 and 5 Hz in the dominant index finger to assess the tactile sense, fast pain and slow pain, respectively. In the test to measure the CPT values of the DLPFC in the anodal tDCS group, the values increased significantly in all of 250 and 5 Hz. All CPT values decreased for the sham tDCS. These results showed that DLPFC anodal tDCS can modulate the sensory perception and pain thresholds in healthy adult volunteers. This study suggests that tDCS may be a useful strategy for treating central neurogenic pain in rehabilitation medicine.

This study examined for which socio-economic difference effects on brain function and Problem behavior syndrome in children. About a children with no disorders, diseases or cognitive dysfunction-30 were from LIC children and another 30, from MC ones, the study was conducted by measuring and analyzing the data using brain function analysis and K-CBCL from January to April, 2013. ) waves showed significantly higher values than MC children. Second, concerning the symptoms of child behavioral problems, LIC showed significantly higher values than MC children in symptoms of the body, depression and anxiety, social immaturity, thinking problems, attention problems, aggression, internalization, externalization, overall behavioral problems, and emotional instability. MC children showed significantly higher values than LIC chidren in symptoms of social, academic-performance, total social skills. In conclusion, the significant difference of the brain functions and the symptoms of child behavioral problems between LIC and MC children showed that the socio-ecnomic difference has an influence on the same functions and symptoms above.
Effects of Smart Phone Use on the Gait Parameters When Healthy Young Subjects Negotiated an Obstacle

This study examined the effects of smart phone use while young adults negotiated an obstacle (2 cm high). Seventy-four young adults (mean age:
, age range: 20-27 years) participated in the study. They were allocated randomly into two groups; smart phone group and no smart phone group. The smart phone group negotiated an obstacle while simultaneously using a smart phone at a self-paced speed whereas the no smart phone group negotiated an obstacle with no special option. A motion analysis system were used to measure the gait parameters, such as toe clearance, cadence, step length, step width, stride length, and walking velocity in two groups. The toe clearance, and step-width, cadence, and step-length were significantly greater for the smart phone group than the no smart phone group (p<.05) and the walking velocity was significantly lower in the smart phone group (p<.05). On the other hand, there was no significant difference in the stride length between the two groups. This study suggests that smart phone use degrades the obstacle avoidance abilities of healthy young adults, which may increase risk of falls.

This study aimed to compare the education effect of easily accessible cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) applications on smart-phones. The differences of performance and accuracy of CPR between animation CPR group and modified Pocket CPR group in Reserve Officers` Training Corps students of K university were evaluated by 2010 AHA guidelines. Data were collected from May 19, 2012 to May 20, 2012. There was no statistically significant difference between both of group in the performance and accuracy of CPR. However, the modified Pocket CPR group showed significant increase in the accuracy of chest compression depth (26.4%, p<.05), while the animation CPR group showed significant increase in the accuracy of chest compression location after the education (25.2%, p<.01). In conclusion, the methods using advantage and complementing disadvantage of animation CPR application and Pocket CPR application could help that people could easily access and perform to CPR.

This paper investigates the association of among alcohol consumption and blood vitamin D and lead concentrations. Subjects to 4,074 with adults over the age of 20 in the 5th Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, correlation analysis is used to validate the relations between an average daily alcohol consumption and blood vitamin D and lead concentration, and to study the effects of blood vitamin D to the lead concentration is carried out regression analysis. The correlation analysis shows that alcohol consumption has the correlation with blood vitamin D and lead concentration(p<0.01). As the results of regression analysis, age(p<0.01), education(p<0.01), occupation(p<0.05), alcohol consumption(p<0.01), vitamin D(p<0.05) appear significant influence on lead concentration in male. Alcohol consumption increases not only lead concentration but also vitamin D. Blood vitamin D also contributes to the rise in lead concentration, but in the reverse the metabolic activity of blood vitamin D by influence of lead receives a negative effect in our body.
Application of Computer-Aided Diagnosis a using Texture Feature Analysis Algorithm in Breast US images

This paper suggests 6 cases of TFA parameters algorithm(Mean, VA, RS, SKEW, UN, EN) to search for the detection of recognition rates regarding breast disease using CAD on ultrasound images. Of the patients who visited a university hospital in Busan city from August 2013 to January 2014, 90 cases of breast ultrasound images based on the findings in breast US and pathology were selected.
pixel size ROI was selected from the breast US images. After pre-processing histogram equalization of the acquired test images(negative, benign, malignancy), we calculated results of TFA algorithm using MATLAB. As a result, in the TFA parameters suggested, the disease recognition rates for negative and malignancy was as high as 100%, and negative and benign was approximately 83~96% for the Mean, SKEW, UN, and EN. Therefore, there is the possibility of auto diagnosis as a pre-processing step for a screening test on breast disease. A additional study of the suggested algorithm and the responsibility and reproducibility for various clinical cases will determine the practical CAD and it might be possible to apply this technique to range of ultrasound images.

This study was conducted to compare and analyse work-related injuries, physical and mental health status of nurses according to working environment. The subjects were 192 nurses working at a university hospital in Seoul. After analyzing each categories of health status by working environment and work-related injuries, meaningful differences were found physical and mental health status. And shift work was significantly related to work-related injuries compared to non-shift work. In addition, it was confirmed that nurses have negative influences from night work in physical and mental health compared to other work pattern. Thus, it would be necessary to improve working system with considering their health problems caused by working environment and work-related injuries. And we will have to be a study for effective night work and additional support for night workers.
A study on Related Factor and Knowledge of Back Pain in Workers Employed at Cement factory

This study describes on the level of back pain knowledge from a survey that conducted from November 1, 2013 to January 31, 2014 for 82 cement factory workers at C region in Chung-Buk. The survey results showed that 56.1% of workers experienced back pain. Also the number of back pain of workers increased when workers who subjected more stresses from their works, had been growth in urban area and have not satisfied their given works. The survey also show that workers who subjected back pain once, usually they stopped smoking and reduced drinking, and they willing to take education for back pain-reducing. The worker`s level of back pain knowledge was relatively low scores as 56.29 points in the 100-point conversion score, specially back pain associated with the posture were the lowest point of 50 points. Knowledge of back pain, a positive correlation was observed. Finally workers experienced back pain and education of back pain had higher willing to receive the education in the future. However, workers were not obtained the knowledge information on back pain indicated lower scores.
Factors related to Suicide Ideation among Middle School Students

This study was performed to determine the factors related to suicide ideation among some middle school students. A self-administered questionnaires survey was administered to 975 middle school students in Gyeongin area during the period from May 1st to June 30th, 2013. As a result, the suicide ideation of respondents turned out to be significantly higher in the following groups: females, experience of smoking, experience of alcohol drinking, of which the self-recognized body type was fatty, with out regular eating, poor subjective health status, poor home atmosphere, low family life satisfaction, lower school grade, poor relationship with friends, school violence experienced, school life dissatisfaction, severe hopelessness, severe distress, and depression. In particular, the factors related to hopelessness are strongly correlated with the suicide ideation.
Affecting Factors Sexual Experience Among College Students

The purpose of this study was to examine the affecting factors of sexual experience by gender of 548 college students. The data was collected from 20th May to 20th June, 2013 in Gyeongsan City. Age, living arrangement, high school, dating experience and sexual attitudes of parents were significantly different in sexual experience and gender. The sex experienced student were first sexual intercourse during high school, and sex partner was `dating partner`. The sex experienced student answered `sometimes` about contraception, and sex place was `own or partner`s house`. In correlation of factors, sexual attitude and sexual subjectivity was related. Affecting factor of sexual experience were age, sexual attitude of parents`, sexual knowledge, and sexual attitude. To improve effective and accessibility of sexual education program, it needs to use these study results and affecting factors in order to developing sex education program for college students.
A Study on Enrollment Satisfaction, Career Directions, and Image of Dental Hygienists for Dental Hygiene Students in Some Regions

A self-administered survey was conducted in dental hygiene students at colleges or universities in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province to provide basic data necessary to suggest standards for the direction of career for dental hygiene students and construct desirable image of dental hygienists. The data were collected from February to May 2013; with the exception of 46 questionnaires containing insincere responses, 1,679 were finally analyzed using SPSS/Win 18.0, drawing the following conclusion: The freshmen showed higher levels of regret for selection and enrollment recommendation than the sophomores, juniors, or seniors and the sophomores, juniors, and seniors showed higher levels of willingness to change courses than the freshmen; thus, those in lower grades showed higher environment satisfaction. As for desired career, regardless of grades, they showed higher preference for being employed as a dental hygienist; as for desired paths to get a job, the freshmen were more likely to get professors` recommendations and the sophomores, juniors, and seniors showed higher preference for open recruitment. They showed higher preference for getting a job in a large city because of greater possibility of improvement. As for the desired period of employment, regardless of grades, they showed higher preference for employment before getting married and for reemployment after their children grew up; as for desired workplace, the freshmen showed higher preference for a dental clinic in a hospital, whereas the sophomores, juniors, and seniors showed higher preference for a dental hospital. As for the differences in image of dental hygienists by grades, the freshmen and sophomores showed higher levels of attitudes than the juniors; the freshmen and sophomores showed higher levels of beliefs than the juniors or seniors; and the seniors showed higher levels of values than the freshmen, sophomores, or juniors, and the sophomores and juniors showed higher levels of values than the freshmen; thus, students in lower grades showed higher levels of attitudes and beliefs and those in higher grades showed higher levels of values. Such factors of enrollment satisfaction as willingness to change courses and persuasion to make enrollment had significant effects on image of dental hygienists. Dental hygiene students need to make efforts to establish a job identity and get desirable image of dental hygienists and to make constant efforts to promote more accurate and positive image of dental hygienists through systematic and positive public relations.

This research studiedthe correlation between dental implant patients` oral hygiene behaviors and satisfaction. By doing so, this study seeks to provide the basic data for the development of diagonal and educational programs to improve implant prosthesis maintenance and satisfaction. The objective of this study is to determine if when chymopapain is loaded onto a nano-carrier, an injection of it reduces the spreading range of the drug within the discs. The materials for the experiment, which were conducted for three weeks, included fifteen intervertebral discs taken from two cadavers, which were divided according to the types of injected chymopapain solutions as follows: ordinary chymopapain group and nano-carrier system group. The nano-carrier system group was again divided into two subgroups according to the types of pluronics, the basic material for the nano-carriers: Pluronic F 127(DA-PF 127) in the nano-carrier group and Pluronic F 68(DA-PF 68) in the nano-carrier group. The results showed that the action of chymopapain using a pluronic-based nano-carrier system was localized around the center of the injection site instead of broad spreading, compared to that of the ordinary chymopapain group (p<0.01). This characteristic suggests a possible application to effective agents for minimally invasive spinal treatment through which disc lesions were removed selectively.
Impact of Resilience in school-age children related to sense of music and humor

The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of sense of humor and music on the resilience of elementary school students with general characteristics. The subject were 265 children who were 4th to 6th grade elementary students who lived in Seoul, Gyeongi - do and Gangwon - do. The subject reported their sense of humor, sense of music and resilience on three separate questionnaires. The data were analyzed by means of descriptive statistics and t-test, ANOVA and Kruskal-Wallis test. The results showed an increase in resilience related to the higher income status, young aged mothers and birth order. The elementary students with a sense of humor and music and resilience showed a significant positive correlation with each other. The results of this study can be utilized as a source in the development of programs applying sense of humor and music to improve the resilience of elementary school students.

We designed of a LDO regulator with a OVP and UVLO protection function for a PMIC. Proposed LDO regulator circuit consists of a BGR reference circuit, an error amplifier and a power transistor and so on. The proposed LDO regulator is designed for low voltage input power protection. Phase currents should be measured in real time for vector control of a 2-phase induction motor. Generally, the phase currents of the motor are measured using two Hall current sensors installed at the output terminal of an inverter. Unfortunately, Hall current sensors are expensive and uneconomical because a vector-controlled inverter for 2-phase induction motor is mainly used in low-power and low-price applications. This paper proposes a low-cost current measurement method using two shunt resistors instead of expensive Hall current sensors. The proposed method can measure the phase currents under all operating conditions of the motor. This method was applied to an experimental vector-controlled inverter for 2-phase induction motor of 220[V]/360[W] and was verified through computer simulations and experimentation.
Comparison of Nios II Core-based Accelerators

Checksum and residue checking accelerators were implemented on a Nios II core-based platform according to component method, in which the corresponding hardware was implemented with HDL coding, a custom instruction method, in which the instruction set of the processor was extended, and the C2H method, in which the corresponding logic was automatically created by the C2H compiler. The processing results from each accelerator for each algorithm were then examined and compared. The results of the comparison showed that the accelerator implemented with the C2H method is the fastest in terms of the execution time, and the accelerator with custom instruction requires the least add-on from the viewpoint of add-on hardware.

In this paper, we analyze the architecture of a typical building automation systems and control points in the network architecture, interoperability, and performance aspects. We proposed a new virtualization-based point-to-point automatic control system that is connected to a high speed wired system. Cloud computing based automation system enables the user based environment control, and may perform a building energy management performance through the improvement of the building automation system efficiently In addition, the virtualization system makes it possible to perform the management of the group building load management operators efficiently.

BitTorrent is an innovative protocol related to file-sharing and file-transferring, which allows users to receive pieces of files from multiple sharer on the Internet to make the pieces into complete files. In reality, however, free distribution of illegal or copyright related video data is counted for crime. Difficulty of regulation on the copyright of data on BitTorrent is caused by the fact that data is transferred with the pieces of files instead of the complete file formats. Therefore, the classification process of file formats of the digital contents should take precedence in order to restore digital contents from the pieces of files received from BitTorrent, and to check the violation of copyright. This study has suggested SVM classifier for the classification of digital files, which has the feature vector of histogram differential on the pieces of files. The suggested classifier has evaluated the performance with the division factor by applying the classifier to three different formats of video files.
Medical Image Enhancement Using an Adaptive Nonlinear Histogram Stretching

In the production of medical images, noise reduction and contrast enhancement are important methods to increase qualities of processing results. By using the edge-based denoising and adaptive nonlinear histogram stretching, a novel medical image enhancement algorithm is proposed. First, a medical image is decomposed by wavelet transform, and then all high frequency sub-images are decomposed by Haar transform. At the same time, edge detection with Sobel operator is performed. Second, noises in all high frequency sub-images are reduced by edge-based soft-threshold method. Third, high frequency coefficients are further enhanced by adaptive weight values in different sub-images. Finally, an adaptive nonlinear histogram stretching method is applied to increase the contrast of resultant image. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can enhance a low contrast medical image while preserving edges effectively without blurring the details.

This paper presents radiation pattern reconfigurable antenna for Fitbit Flex wristband which detects vital signal. Also, the paper presents Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) from the loop-dipole radiation pattern reconfigurable antenna based on the position of human body. The proposed loop-dipole radiation pattern reconfigurable antenna produces two opposite side direction radiation pattern using two RF switches. The resonant frequency of the radiation pattern reconfigurable antenna is Bluetooth communication bandwidth (2.4 - 2.485 GHz) and the maximum gain of the proposed antenna is 1.96 dBi. The proposed antenna satisfied the standard SAR value of 1.6 W/kg in 1 g tissue of the human body when the Bluetooth communication input average power of 0.04 W is excited to five parts of human body (head, chest, stomach, back, wrist). The maximum SAR value of in this simulation is presented in the part of head.

The aim of this thesis was to develop PBL(Problem-Based-Learning) problems to supply the problems to classes and to confirm the effectiveness of PBL for PBL applications to element design in engineering schools. Modern industrial society needs competent people with abilities in cooperative learning, self-controlling learning, united knowledge application, and creative problem-solving. Universities need to offer opportunities for improving the problem-solving ability and cooperative learning to learners to train competent people that society demands. PBL activity is a proper learning method for the execution of the above offer. The study subjects were 32 sophomore students in H University who took `Engineering design 1`, which is Element design. Five PBL problems were applied to the class for 15 weeks. They wrote and submitted a reflective journal when they finished the every given PBL activity. In addition, they wrote a class evaluation form after the
PBL problem`s activity ended. The study showed that the students experienced the effectiveness of PBL in many fields, such as the comprehension of the studied contents(71.87%), the comprehension of cooperative learning (87.5%), authentic experience, problem-solving skills (90.63%), presentation skills (96.87%), communication ability, self-directed study ability, and confidence (96.87%). The students realized that PBL learning activities are important because students could develop into future intelligent engineers that modern industrial society demands through PBL learning activities.
A study on the changes of the noise reception sensitivity in the optical system

In this paper, we investigated the effect of light on the performance of the receiver system noise and external noise added from the ever-present influence in general optical system. And calculated the reception sensitivity of the receiver at the time of off-keying transmission - from the optical transmission system in consideration of the case that the photo detector has a quantum yield of less than one-one. Not less than 50 it was confirmed that it is possible to configure the low power system is calculated and compared with the case where less than 300 the receiver sensitivity of the optical system to maintain the standard error probability. However, even if these values were considered, and the preamplifier in the receiver, considering a case of using a low-output light source, so that a heavy burden in the value less than the actual system installation, using the light source having less than the output, as shown in Figure 3, the results that were obtained also may be used.
A New DIT Radix-4 FFT Structure and Implementation

Two basic FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) algorithms are the DIT(Decimation-In-Time) and the DIF (Decimation-In-Frequency). In spite of the advantage of the DIT algorithm is to generate a sequential output, various structures have not been made. In this paper, a new DIT Radix-4 FFT butterfly structure are proposed and implemented using Verilog coding. Through synthesis, it is shown that the 64-point FFT is implemented by 6.78 million gates. Since the proposed FFT structure has the advantage of a sequential output, it can be used in OFDM communication SoC(System on a Chip) which need a high speed FFT output.

The interest in software defects is growing. Companies are working on reducing them by various ways with a software development part, customer service part and quality management part. The defect data collected from them will be analyzed according to the condition and purpose to minimize the defect, and it will contribute to improving the quality of products. This study analyzed the software defect progress for companies based on the test maturity model, and set up the defect preventing process. They were applied to the project, and the number of defects decreased from 106 to 16. This study focused on the existing defect, which is a basic requirement for software quality management, and have importance by presenting a way to improve the software product quality with minimum resources.
Assessment of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle for Management of Disaster Information

Recently, the need of effective technologies for disaster damage investigation is increasing. Development of geospatial information technology like UAV is the useful method for quick damage investigation. In this research, to assess the applicability of geospatial information constructed by UAV, we produced ortho images about research area and compared them with digital topographic maps for accuracy evaluation. As a result, ortho images showed within 30cm difference with 1/5,000 digital topographic maps, we could present the possibility to utilize for producing disaster information using UAV because of its effective construction and calculation of disaster information.
Design of UIGRP(Urban Intersection based Geographic Routing Protocol) considering the moving direction and density of vehicles

This paper proposes the UIGRP, which can tackle the problem of the network disconnection and packet transmission delay caused by turning vehicles frequently in an urban intersection. The UIGRP was designed as follows. First, it calculates the direction of vehicles using the moving direction of vehicles and the location of a destination. Second, it makes the RSU measure the density of an urban intersection. Third, the TGF Algorithm in the UIGRP decides the data transmission paths by setting as an intermediate node, not only the vehicle that is moving in the direction where a destination node is located, but also the node that has the highest density. The TGF algorithm using a moving direction and density minimizes or removes the occurrence of local maximum problems that the existing Greedy Forwarding algorithm has. Therefore, the simulation result shows that UIGRP decreases the occurrence of local maximum problems by 3 and 1 times, and the packet transmission time by 6.12 and 2.04(ms), and increases the success rate of packet transmission by 15 and 3%, compared to the existing GPSR and GPUR.
Effect of the Sheath Layer Ground of Telecommunication Cable to Induced Voltage Measurement

The change in induced voltage according to the relationship of ground connection between the aluminum sheath layer and a conductor pair in a general telecommunication cable is analyzed. When a measurement is practiced under the condition of separated sheath grounds with an averaged ground resistance of

Design of Wideband Cascode Amplifiers Using a Feedback Structure

This paper describes the design of a wideband cascode amplifier using a feedback network and microwave small-signal transistors. The adopted cascode structure enables the miller effect to be lessened, cutoff frequency to increase, and reduction of gain in the mid-band to be mitigated. In addition, a feedback network is added to the cascode structure to improve the input matching and ripple performances over the wide operating band. The designed cascode amplifier contains a feedback network for small size and broadband amplification, whereas balanced amplifiers and distributed amplifiers have been used widely. The measurement shows
of gain over 1000-2000MHz. The fabricated cascode amplifier has more than 8dB of gain over a 1000MHz bandwidth with a good flatness. The measured performances agree with the predicted ones even a minor shift in operating frequency is observed.
Design and Implementation of an Efficient Web Services Data Processing Using Hadoop-Based Big Data Processing Technique

Relational databases used by structuralizing data are the most widely used in data management at present. However, in relational databases, service becomes slower as the amount of data increases because of constraints in the reading and writing operations to save or query data. Furthermore, when a new task is added, the database grows and, consequently, requires additional infrastructure, such as parallel configuration of hardware, CPU, memory, and network, to support smooth operation. In this paper, in order to improve the web information services that are slowing down due to increase of data in the relational databases, we implemented a model to extract a large amount of data quickly and safely for users by processing Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) files after sending data to HDFSs and unifying and reconstructing the data. We implemented our model in a Web-based civil affairs system that stores image files, which is irregular data processing. Our proposed system`s data processing was found to be 0.4 sec faster than that of a relational database system. Thus, we found that it is possible to support Web information services with a Hadoop-based big data processing technique in order to process a large amount of data, as in conventional relational databases. Furthermore, since Hadoop is open source, our model has the advantage of reducing software costs. The proposed system is expected to be used as a model for Web services that provide fast information processing for organizations that require efficient processing of big data because of the increase in the size of conventional relational databases.

The service oriented architecture assures flexibility of enterprise application development, so it supports agile reaction to business change. On the other hand, considerable effort is needed to develop a service by combining business and constraint consumes because the entire combination logic should be changed according to the change in business rule. To improve the current method, this paper applied an aspect oriented approach to service system development. In this paper, the rule concern is proposed in addition to the core concern and cross cutting concern of aspect oriented approach. The rule concern is extracted from business rules included in the business processes and services. The rule concern is classified into the process rule aspect and service rule aspect according to the level of the rule. In the proposed approach, system is modularized into the core concern, cross cutting concern and rule concern through separation of concern, and they are maintained independently. Therefore, the adaptability, reusability, and maintainability of a service system will be enhanced.

Buddhist temple construction at East Asia is considered one of the most important architecture activities together with the capital city and palace, where the pagoda is positioned at the center of a Buddhist temple as the most important element of Buddhist architecture enshrining Buddha`s Sary. Accordingly, this study was performed to examine the procedure of how to build brick pagodas through the stone pagoda`s internal structure between
century while disassembling and repairing Andong Jotap-ri five-story brick pagoda. As a result, as the brick pagoda destruction phenomenon, there was a slip phenomenon by side forces, member`s plastic temperature, and mixed material differences. Second, like a stone pagoda, brick pagoda is classified and constructed by the design and structural parts. According to the analysis, the design part is formed by the most edge brick, and the structure part places stone material at the buffer zone in the design brick from most edge brick and intra-center, i.e., at the space to support a side force while the top weight is vertically led. When building a brick pagoda, putting a wood pole at inside center plays the role as holding parts. In addition, the center axis is connected to the bottom of the steel pole hole, A steel pole hole has holes to safely settle down and decide the position. Because of them, the steel pole is self-loaded, which may be installed by wood rather than immovable steel.
Structural Behavior of Temporary Fence Frame under a Lateral Load

Temporary fencing is a mandatory installation in construction sites because of environmental regulations and pedestrian safety. Contractors are responsible for the structural integrity of frames. The fence frame composed of a ledger and post is very weak in the out-of-plane direction, which is normally reinforced by diagonal bracing with a sub post. In this study, the location of lateral bracing for the main post was investigated analytically. Three types of frame were suggested and their performance was compared in terms of the maximum moment and deflection. A construction site may be located at city centers or crowed areas, and a contingent accident should be considered. The EOD type was found to be most efficient among the three frames suggested.

This study examined the integration value of a low level pilotis space, a component that has been often selected as an essential planning element of the recent high-rise apartment complex, and compared the main outdoor unit spaces with that of an average integration value of the individual complexes. Furthermore, this study provided the preliminary data for the next level of research, which is the observation of the pilotis space usage behaviors and the frequency of utilization. The results of this present research are as follows. First, from the main outdoor unit spaces of the high-rise apartment complexes including the pilotis space, a `complex entrance` or a `plaza` space showed the highest integration value. Second, the spatial integration value of a pilotis space in a high-rise apartment complex was generally lower that of the integration value of other main outdoor units. Third, from the pilotis spaces of the high-rise apartment complex, those with a `projecting entry access + pilotis addition type` that did not provide an access to the individual units, had the lowest space utilization rate by the inhabitants; thus, had a high likelihood of the spaces becoming used for illegitimate activities or becoming vacant.
Damage Assessment Technique for Bridge Structures By Moving Load Tests and Optical Displacement Measurements

In this paper, a damage assessment technique using a moving load test and optical sensors was studied to overcome the deficiency of measurement information in bridge maintenance. Continuous displacements by applying the reciprocal theorem to the test can make the assessment simpler and more practical. Numerical and experimental studies were performed to show the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed technique as well as the possibility of a more realistic assessment for large infrastructure. The results showed that the assessed damage levels are quite accurate, and similar to the exact values in actual damage locations, even in the experiments. The proposed technique is useful and practical for both detecting damage locations and damage quantities.
Numerical Analysis on the Size Effect of a Footing

Finite element analyses were conducted to investigate the size effect on the bearing capacity and settlement of shallow foundations, and the results were compared with those of theoretical equations. The calculated bearing capacity of the plate by numerical analysis and the theoretical equation was similar. Numerical analyses showed that the ultimate bearing capacity of strip footing on sand was affected by the size effect, whereas the ultimate bearing capacity of strip footing on clay was not affected by the size effect. Numerical analyses showed that the square footing was unaffected by the size effect regardless of the type of foundation soil. In contrast to theoretical equations, settlement of the footing was affected by the size effect and was proportional to the footing width.

The study may provide suggestive implications possibly related to the new Public Rental Housing Provision Plan that Seoul Metropolitan City announced recently. Estimation of the Flood Warning Rainfall with Backwater Effects in Urban Watersheds

The incidence of flood damage by global climate change has increased recently. Because of the increased frequency of flooding in Korea, the technology of flood prediction and prevalence has developed mainly for large river watersheds. On the other hand, there is a limit on predicting flooding through the most present flood forecasting systems because local floods in small watersheds rise quite quickly with little or no advance warning. Therefore, this study estimated the flood warning rainfall using a flood forecasting model at the two alarm trigger points in the Suamcheon basin, which is an urban basin with backwater effects. The flood warning rainfall was estimated to be 25.4mm/120min ~ 78.8mm/120min for the low water alarm, and 68.5mm/120min ~ 140.7mm/120min for the high water alarm. The frequency of the flood warning rainfall is 3-years for the low water alarm, and 80-years for the high water alarm. The results of this analysis are expected to provide a basic database in forecasting local floods in urban watersheds. Nevertheless, more tests and implementations using a large number of watersheds will be needed for a practical flood warning or alert system in the future.
Additional Axial Stress of CWR Track on the Bridge according to the Variation of Design Vehicle Load

The CWR(Continuous Welded Rail) on a bridge shows complex structural behavior compared to those on the roadbed. The influence factors on the track-bridge interaction are the variation of temperature and vehicle load. The analysis methods for track-bridge interaction, material property, modeling method, loads and combination method are indicated in the domestic railway design principle, KR C-08080. The vehicle load in KR C-08080 was changed in 2014. In this study, to evaluate the effect of the changed vehicle load on the track-bridge interaction, the track-bridge interaction analyses were performed for 22 bridges by using finite element method.

For the properties of air contents, all of the specimens added fibers shown the higher than plain concrete. For the flowability, slump decreased about 40-80% when all of the specimens added fibers. For the strength properties, the specimens added nylon fiber shown higher compressive and tensile strength about 5-15% comparing with other concrete. For the plastic shrinkage, cracking decreased when the fiber added comparing with plain concrete. Especially, when nylon fiber added in the concrete, the plastic shrinkage did not occurred. For the overall consideration, when the addition ratio of nylon fiber is 0.6%, the press concrete is identified as showed optimum properties.
Enhancing maintenance performance of tunnel drainage using vibration from polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF) film

This study investigated the possible use of vibration from polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF) film to enhance the performance of the deteriorated tunnel drainage due to physical/chemical clogging of the fine particles through a series of laboratory experiments. The test program was consisted of two different experiments, fundamental investigation and drainage model test. In the fundamental investigation, flow of clay slurry mixed with 50% water (freshwater and brine) on PVDF film with various frequencies was examined. In the model tests, slurry clogging to the woven fiber attached to drainage pipe and its reduction by vibration was investigated. Results of the experiment show that vibration from PVDF film enhances the drain performance significantly. Based upon the investigation, it gives an essential data that are needed for a potential use of hybrid drainage system with PVDF.

This study aims to research the Kisho Kurokawa`s architectural concepts, that are comprised of complex theories system, for globalization of Korea. Kurokawa`s architectural concepts are composed by Metabolism, Metamorphosis and Symbiosis. And intermediate zone, ambiguity, multivalence are theories that work as media in changing process levels to three main concepts and these are used as media of Metamorphosis which embody Symbiosis. Metabolism include concepts of Metamorphosis and Symbiosis. Symbiosis is comprise of concepts of Metabolism and Metamorphosis, and is a ultimate goal of these three main concepts. Metamorphosis works as a medium in changing process levels from Metabolism to Symbiosis.
Creation and Management of Urban Green Field based on Carbon Emission Reduction

The purpose of this paper is to suggest the method of creation and management of urban green field based on carbon emission reduction. For a case study, Daejeon Metropolitan City in Korea was chosen. For the study, the relevant concepts of green field and carbon emission plans are reviewed as a theoretical research, and current problems of the urban green field are surveyed focused on metropolitan cities in Korea. Implementation plans of park and green in Daejeon Metropolitan City were analysed in the aspect to carbon emission reduction, climate change responding and urban green field expansion. Finally, as a result of the study, the method of creation and management of urban green field based on carbon emission reduction in the perspectives of urban structure change, green field network, conservation of green field and relevant institutions are suggested.
Flexural Behavior of Reinforced Concrete Beam Strengthened with Carbon Fiber Sheet under Load History

This study examined the flexural strength of CFS reinforced concrete beams with various load histories. The RC beams to be reinforced by CFS have undergone various loading histories but neglecting the loading history results in a few problems in structural safety and cost. Structural behavior of CFS-strengthened RC beams were analyzed considering the strain status of RC beams under loads at the time of CFS strengthening. Nonlinear section analysis showed that the flexural strength of CFS-strengthened RC beams depends on the load history of the RC beams. From the result of this analysis, the flexural strength of a CFS-strengthened concrete beam is affected considerably by the load history and should be considered in CFS reinforcement.
Harmonic Excitation of Shear Building with Force-Controlled Shaking Table

1-DOF shear building was designed, built and tested to investigate the interactions between the shear building and the shaking table excited harmonically by the electro-magnetic forces. In the experiments horizontal accelerations of the shaking table and the shear building were measured. To understand the experimental results experimental setting was modeled as an unconstrained 2-DOF system under the hormonic forces. The responses of the shear building and the shaking table of the unconstrained 2-DOF system were found with the equations of motions. The magnification factors of the table and the shear building with respect to the amplitude of the harmonic forces and the transmission of the shear building with respect to the table excitations were found and compared with the experimental results.
Energy Cost Saving Control of Water Reuse Pumping System Using Particle Swarm Optimization

This paper presents a control method for energy cost saving in the water reuse pumping system. An optimize horizon switching strategy is proposed to implement an pump control. And Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm is used to solve optimal problems in each time step. Energy costs are calculated for electricity on both TOU in the light, heavy, and maximum load time period and peak charges. The control method in water reuse pumping systems is determined to reduce the TOU cost. The simulation results show a energy cost saving for water reuse pumping systems.
Concentrations of total culturable microorganisms and Its Identification in Public Facilities

This study was conducted to measure the concentrations of total culturable bacteria (TCB) and to identify the bacteria in thirty public facilities (7 elderly-care facilities, 4 hypermarkets, 4 university hospitals, 7 child care facilities, 4 subway stations and 4 bus terminals) in Seoul and Gyeonggi-Do Province. Although all concentrations measured in these study facilities did not exceed the national maintenance standard, it is believed that elderly-, child-care facilities should be high priority facilities to improve the indoor air quality and it is important to study the health effects and the airborne bacteria concentration of public facilities including non-culturable bacteria or allergen.
Development of a cavity pressure measuring device and estimation of viscosity functions of various polymer composites

We have proposed a new method for estimating the viscosity of the composite. In this paper, we have developed a device for measuring the injection mold cavity pressure. This makes it possible to verify the accuracy of the viscosity in CAE D/B in real time by measuring the melt pressure in the mold, and comparing this with the simulated pressure from the CAE analysis. Materials used in this study is a PP(Polypropylene), PP/LGF30%(Polypropylene/long glass fiber 50% composite) and PA66/LGF50%(Polyamide 6,6/long glass fiber 50% composite). The viscosity data for PP and PP long fiber composite have already been built, but the one for PA66 long-fiber composite does not exist because it is a newly developed material. Thus we obtained the viscosity curve of PA66/LGF50% by this system. Then, the viscosity curves from conventional viscometer were also compared with the viscosity obtained by the our method. And, we proved the accuracy of the CAE data of PP. In case of PP/LGF50% which is highly viscous and complex material, we improved the existing CAE data.because there was a difference between the measuring data and the CAE data.
Haze Characteristics of Mica Coated with Magnesium Oxide

Inorganic composite particles have excellent physical and chemical characteristics and have been applied in various industries. Recently, many studies have examined the optical properties, such as light scattering, refraction, transmission characteristics, by coating organic-inorganic materials on a substrate, such as mica. Mica is widely applied as a pigment, plastics, painted products, and ceramics because of its high chemical stability, durability and non-toxicity. Magnesium oxide has a range of properties, such as high light transmittance, corrosion resistance and non-toxicity, and it is used as an optical material and polymer additives. To use the optical properties of mica and magnesium oxide, mica was coated with magnesium hydroxide by a dissolution and recrystallization process. In this study, the optimal conditions for the haze value of the particles were found by adjusting the amount of precursors and pH. Magnesium hydroxide layers were formed on the surfaces of mica and converted to MgO after calcination at
for 4 h. The results showed that the value of MgO-coated mica haze can be controlled easily by the amount of the magnesium hydroxide and pH. The optical properties of the inorganic composite powder were analyzed using a hazemeter and the highest haze value was 85.92 % at pH 9. The physicochemical properties of the synthesized composite was analyzed by SEM, XRD, EDS, and PSA.
Taxonomic Groups of Phytoplankton Communities after the Commencement of the Construction of a Waterproofing Dike in Saemangeum Region

The present study examined the phytoplankton communities of 4 regions, fresh water sites, estuary, Mankyeong and Dongjin lake and offshore regions, 4 times a year from 2011 to 2013. The number of species were 48-59 in 2011 (March, June, September, and November). From Mankyeong and Dongjin lake, fresh water species were dominated in June and coexisted with seawater species in September 2011. 45-65 species were observed in 2012 (April, June, September, and November) and diverse cyanophytes were present at the fresh water sites in September. The number of species reached up to 56-69 in 2013 (March, June, September, and November). In particular, owing to the diverse dinoflagellates from seawater and various cyanophytes and chlorophytes from fresh water, the maximum species number was recorded in June, 2013.

Study on recovery of heavy metals from red mud by using the ultrasonic waves

The red mud generated from the Bayer alumina production process seriously threatens the environment and human safety. Therefore, the reduction and recycling of red mud is an urgent topic in the aluminum industry. In this study, the effects of four parameters, ultrasound power, reaction temperature, time, and acid concentration, on the leaching of Fe, Al from red mud was investigated. The major parameters influencing the metal recovery efficiency from red mud were ultrasound power and reaction temperature. The use of ultrasonic irradiation resulted in 1.72 and 1.28 times higher recovery efficiency for Fe and Al, respectively. The proper conditions for the recovery of the metal components present in the red mud is the ultrasound intensity (150 W), sulfuric acid concentration (4-6N), reaction temperature (

Effects of nucleating agents and plasticizers on the crystallinity and crystal structure of PLA(PolyLactic Acid)

In this paper, the crystal structure and the crystallinity of PLA(PolyLactic Acid) were studied. PLA is a eco-friendly thermoplastic which completely decomposed by microorganisms, but has low thermal stability and low degree of crystallinity. The low crystallization rate makes the cycle time of injection molding longer and the degree of crystallinity lower. It is a very big disadvantage comparing the other thermoplastics. We improved the degree of crystallinity and the crystallization rate by introducing nucleating agents and plasticizer, and discussed the mechanism.
