Thermal Design of a Cooling Coil for Building Air Conditioning

The surface of the cooling coil becomes dry, wet or partially wet depending on the operating condition. Thus, a proper design of the cooling coil should include a heat transfer analysis on dry, wet or partially wet surfaces. In this study, an elementary model, which analyzes the cooling on an elementaty basis, is proposed. Comparison of the predictions of the model with experimental data of the cooling coil revealed that heat transfer rates were predicted within 10.1%, airside pressure drop within 11.1% and sensible heat ratio within 5.7%. The model was used to investigate the effect of water circuitory on cooling coil performance.
Magnetic analysis of a finite solenoid

In this paper, the theoretical analysis for a solenoid with a finite length was verified by the finite element simulation. The solenoids are widely being used in the field of mechanical, industrial, medical industry due to their simple structure and fast responses. Solenoid actuators use an electromagnetic force. A magnetic field is formed around the solenoid coil when a current is applied. The magnetic force generated by the magnetic field enables an inside plunger to move linearly. The axial and radial magnetic fields (magnetic flux density, B) at a certain point were calculated from the Biot-Savart's law and compared with the simulation analysis from the ANSYS-Magnetostatic S/W. Comparison result, an error exists in the error range, and could therefore verify the accuracy.
A MetaModel for Dynamic Mobile Web Service

Frequent change of mobile applications has become a burden to management of mobile services. Therefore, the development of mobile Web services, which the central management is easy, has increased. Tools which developers, as well as general users can easily develop, have been developed for mobile Web services. However, researches of standardized metamodel for implementing mobile Web service dynamically by general users is the inadequate situation. In this paper, we propose a dynamic metamodel for developing mobile Web services. The dynamic metamodel consists of a mobile Web pages, mobile Web page instance and dynamic connection using XDPL structure. we study a connection metamodel for condition connection, split connection and join connection, and combile entire metamodel, finally. Also, we carry out a case study in order to verify the suitability of metamodel by based on XPDL.

The purpose of this study is to indicate the problem and its improvement plan derived from pollution discharge industries inspection, implementation process on overall instruction including record management, and utilization of information about emission. This focuses on analyzing the inspection system of pollution discharge industries and the actual condition of management system with survey and interview from the managers. As a result of examining the administration information system from each of structural and practical perspectives, the users were not able to receive support for inspection through the system because it was designed based on licensing. Also according to results of survey and interview, it was difficult to input checkup data and to maintain the information of emission in a sustainable manner. This problem occurs since the current system is not utilized properly. Thus, this study examines similar systems operated in Korea and suggests measure to make improvements. The measures are considered as constructing simple user interface for systematizing of administrative works, simplifying the input matters, linking systems of inspection and emission information, establishing statistical function of emission information, and managing inspection functions through the mobile system.
Form-Focused Instruction, Learners' Perceptions, and Second Language Acquisition

The purpose of the study was two folded: to examine whether form-focused instruction (FFI) with corrective feedback (CF) is effective for the acquisition of the target linguistic forms and to find out the extent to which of the students' perceptions as well as their attitudes towards English instruction that they received. Tests and questionnaires were implemented to 122 Korean EFL students from eight classes enrolled in an English communication course. They were randomly assigned to three groups: the input-based group, who received typographical input enhancement materials, so-called the TIE group, the output-based group, who performed dictogloss tasks, so-called the DICT group, and the control group (CG). The data analysis was made on both tests and questionnaires by using SPSS 21.0 for Windows. The study found that different types of FFI with CF contributed to the improvement of students' grammatical knowledge and both the TIE and DICT task group students positively changed their perceptions and understanding as well as their attitudes towards the English instruction given, and students in all groups preferred pair work activities. In addition, most of the TIE and DICT students showed their interest and satisfaction with English class, whereas the CG group students did not. Based on the findings, this study suggested that well-planned and properly-chosen FFI in the form of pair work activities should be applied in classrooms with consideration of students' instructional preference in Korean EFL contextual settings.
Its Relationship with Symptoms Index, Self Efficacy and Family Support in Hemodialysis Patients

This study was conducted to investigate the prevalence, severity or impact of symptoms in hemodialysis patients and its relationship with self efficacy and family support to identify factors influencing their symptoms. A cross-sectional design was used and the subjects were 243 patients undergoing hemodialysis at local units. The patients were Dialysis Symptom Index (DSI), a questionnaire about the presence and severity of symptoms. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent t-test, Pearson coefficient correlation and multiple regression. There were significant differences in the total score of symptoms according to age and duration of hemodialysis. Symptoms score had significant negative correlations with family support (r=-.35, p<.001) and self-efficacy (r=-.16, p=.006). Family support explained 16.0% of the variance in symptoms score. Hemodialysis patients experience many distressing symptoms, which have negative effects on quality of their life. Promoting family support can help to reduce and control distressing symptoms in hemodialysis patients.
Relationships between compliance and health-related quality of life in patients with hemodialysis

The purpose of the study was to evaluate patients' compliance with the hemodialysis and to investigate relationships between compliance, physiological parameters, and health-related quality of life. Data were collected from 220 patients at 27 local hemodialysis clinics. Compliance was measured with Sick-role Behavioral Compliance including interdialytic weight gain, serum potassium, and phosphorus. Health-related quality of life was assessed using Medical Outcomes Study Short Form-12. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation. Total compliance scored 2.92 out of 4 points on average. Among fifteen items, 'I keep on my dialysis schedule(time and date)' was the highest score. There were differences in the scores for compliance according to age, marital status, and dialysis period. Statistically significant correlations were found between four compliance items(medication, infection control, sleep, eating vegetable and fruit) and health-related quality of life. The results of the study indicate that a patient-centered approach would be helpful to improve quality of life in patients with hemodialysis. Healthcare providers need to understand the patients' perspectives by identifying what is important to patients and taking patient values and priorities into account.
An Analytical Study of Flange Local Buckling of Horizontally Curved I-Girders for Estimate Resonable Stress Gradient

Horizontally curved I-girders are subjected to not only bending moments but also torsional moments. The torsional moment of the plate girder is addition of St. Venant torsion and non-uniform torsion. In the flange of I-shaped plate girder, a kind of open-section, the normal stresses is not distributed uniformly due to the non-uniform torsion. Because of that, one of compression flange tip can be yielded faster than the flange of general straight girder. In other words, the flange local buckling strength is decreased when the girder has initial curvature. In this paper, the numerical analysis is conducted to investigate the average stresses in flange for curved girders. The subtended angle and slenderness ratio are taken as parameters.
Idiosyncratic Volatility Puzzle Explained by Individual Traders in Korea Stock Market

This paper examines the relationship between idiosyncratic volatility(IVOL) puzzle and trading volumes by trader types in the Korean stock market. The data set includes all stock in both KRX and KOSDAQ for the period from January 1999 through December 2013. Idiosyncratic volatility is measured by using the Fama-French's three-factor model. Traders are classified into individual, institution, and foreign trader. We construct (5X5) portfolios based on each trader's net buying and idiosyncratic volatility. We find that there are some special portfolios that show the idiosyncratic volatility puzzle. For individual investors, top net buying portfolios show clear the idiosyncratic volatility puzzle. However, for institution and foreign investors, lowest net buying portfolio show the idiosyncratic volatility puzzle. This results imply that the idiosyncratic volatility puzzle in the Korean stock market is mainly caused by individual investors.
A Study on the Technical Level Analysis of Suspension Bridge in Korea

This study analyzes the technical level and shows the priority technology for suspension bridges that play an iconic role as the country's landmark and contain an economic value. Analysis results show the technical level of suspension bridge is 82 percent compared to developed countries. In detail, the technical levels of 'materials', 'planning and design', and 'construction and maintenance' are 80.2 %, 81.7%, and 83.7% respectively. This study analyzes economic, social, technical importances and presents 'high-performance packaging material' as a priority technology.
A Comparative Study on the Korean and English Genderlect: Focused on Polite Expressions

It is generally accepted that there are differences between men and women in linguistic communication style. Genderlect is a socio-linguistic term to refer to the linguistic differences spoken by specific gender. Some linguistic features are provided as evidence to show the genderlects: pitch, lexicon, intonation, grammar and styles. The purpose of this paper is to compare the characteristics of genderlect in English and Korean. To do so, I analyzed the scripts of an English movie, 'Mrs. Doubtfire' and Korean tv drama, 'Oohlala couple'. In "Mrs. Doubtfire, tension and laughter arose out of discrepancy from the way he looked (as a woman) and the way he spoke (like a man). The same is true with "Oohlala couple." In the language of Mrs. Doubtfire, male speech characteristics with nouns were salient while in "Oohlala couple" with verb forms, especially with honorific style, which shows a difference between Korean and English genderlect. Korean language has special genderlect characteristics with honorific speech style realized in verb endings. In Korean the highest honorific speech style, 'Habsho-che' is used in official situation and men are more accustomed to it than women. When women have to use polite expressions they have to choose between the highest honorific style, 'Habsho-che' losing the female characteristics or the second highest honorific style 'Haeyo-che' keeping the female characteristics.
Mutual Fund Performance and Fund Flows: Medium-Term Relations in Korean Market

This study examines the relation between mutual fund performance and fund flows in Korean market using weekly and monthly data. The results are as follows. First, the relation between the two variables varies across fund types. Even the relations in equity fund and index fund are different from each other. Second, the structural change in the mutual fund market affect significantly the relation between the two variables. Third, return chasing flow is observed constantly in bond fund and it is observed only after the structural change for equity fund and MMF. However, no return chasing flow is observed for index fund. Fourth, mutual fund flows affect subsequent fund returns only in MMF after the structural change.
Effect of flexi-bar exercise on body composition and trunk muscle strength in overweight and obesity female college students

This study aimed to analyze the effect of flexi-bar exercise on in body composition and trunk muscle strength of female college students who are either overweight or obesity. The subjects were female college students divided into experimental group(N=15) and control group(N=15). The experimental group performed a flexi-bar exercise for of 30 minute sessions three days per week for five weeks, and the differences in body composition and trunk muscle strength before and after the experiment and between experimental group and control group were analyzed. The study results showed that the experimental group had a statistically significant improvement in the body fat mass and body fat percentage, body muscle mass, both arm muscle mass, trunk muscle mass, basal metabolic rate(p<.05). Changes in trunk muscle strength showed that the experimental group had statistically significant increased in changes in trunk muscle strength(p<.01). The study verified that flexi-bar exercise can be effective for improving the body composition and trunk muscle strength of overweight and obesity female college students.
An Evaluation Technique of Surface Roughness of Corroded Reinforcing Bar-in-Coils

This paper discusses the surface roughness of corroded reinforcement rebar-in-coil focusing on the quantitative measurement technique using 3D scanner. Reinforcement rebar-in-coil was stacked in site for 0 day, 3 days, 7 days, 14 days and 21 days. And rebar-in-coil was corroded 0.04%, 0.3367%, 0.6157%, 0.7898%, and 1.1965% respectively. Using 3-dimensional scanner, each surface profile of reinforcement rebar-in-coil was established, and surface roughness was measured. Through the tests and analyses of corroded rebar-in-coil, the increase of fractal dimension for each rebar-in-coil was measured as 0.0216, 0.0235, 0.028, 0.0319, and 0.0455 for different stacked periods. Therefore, surface assessment technique using fractal dimension showed similar results with the actual corrosion rate.
Vocational Competency Constituents Affecting the Professionalism of Dental Hygienists

The purpose of this study was to examine the constituents of vocational competency affecting the professionalism of dental hygienists. The subjects in this study were 230 dental hygienists who worked in university hospitals, dental hospitals, dental clinics and public dental clinics. A survey was conducted from December, 2013, to February, 2014. To assess their vocational competency and professionalism by general characteristics, one-way ANOVA and t-test were utilized, and the level of significance was set at p<0.05. To determine what elements of vocational competency affected their professionalism, multiple regression analysis was made, and standardized regression coefficients were calculated to represent the influence of the elements. As a result, it's found that the professionalism of the dental hygienists were under the influence of their self-development skills, organizational understanding and mathematical ability. To foster self-development skills, discussion method should be utilized, and team teaching should be used to improve organizational understanding. Besides, internship and on-the-job training should be managed in a more systematic way.
The distinct characteristics of phytoplankton growth response and their community structure following seven different nutrients addition in spring season of Jinhae Bay

In order to estimate the characteristics of the growth and composition of phytoplankton according to the available nutrients, we added nitrate (0, 1, 5, 10, 20, 50,
) and phosphate (0, 0.1, 0.5, 1, 2, 5,
) to field samples in a eutrophic site (St. 1) and an oligotrophic site (St. 22) in 2010 as well as a eutrophic site (St. 1, 5), a mesotrophic site (St. 19), and an oligotrophic site (St. 22) in 2011 at Jinhae Bay, Korea. The phytoplankton growth in the areas with additional nitrates and phosphates on St. 1 were significantly different from the control (One-way ANOVA:P<0.01). The dominant species at St. 1 in 2010 were Heterocapsa triquetra and Pseudo-nitzchia spp., to which nitrate and phosphate were added, respectively. The dominant species at St. 22 in 2010 differed between treatment conditions as follows: nitrate treatment Chaetoceros spp. (
), Thalassiosira spp. (
), and Pseudo-nitzchia spp.(
) for nitrate treatment; Cylindrotheca spp. (
) and Pseudo-nitzchia spp. (
) for phosphate treatment. Phytoplankton growth in 2011 according to the added nutrient were significantly different with treatment concentrations (One-way ANOVA: P<0.01). Moreover, the beginning of exponential growth in phytoplanktons was different between the eutro-mesotrophic sites (St. 1, 5, and 19) and the oligotrophic sites (St. 22) on day 2 and day 6 respectively. This implies that phytoplankton growth in the low nutrient condition may be retarded. The dominant species at St. 1 were Eucampia spp. and Chaetoceros spp. in the low nutrient treatment compared to Skeletonema spp., and Thalassiosira spp in the high nutrient treatment. The dominant species at St. 5 and St. 19 were mostly Skeletonema spp. and Chaetoceros spp. However, the dominant species at St. 22 was Thalassiosira spp.. The results of this study showed that phytoplankton growth and composition were different in areas with different nutrient characteristics resulting from the additional nutrients. Therefore, the nutrients additional algal assay could be indirectly explained why the biomass and composition of phytoplankton in Jinhae Bay has shown spatial differences.
The Relationship among Leisure constraints, Athletic Life Satisfaction and Self-control in High School Student Athletes

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among leisure constraints, athletic life satisfaction and self-control of student athletes at physical education high school. By using convenience sampling method of non-provability sampling, a total 217 students athletes from D and G city were selected. Of 217 copies of the questionnaire gathered, 35 were discarded owing to having excessive missing values. Thus by analysing a total of 182 surveys with structural equation modeling through SPSS 20.0 statistics program, this study found the followings. First, leisure constraints have a negative influence on athletic life satisfaction. Second, leisure constraints have a negative influence on self-control. Third, athletic life satisfaction has a positive influence on self-control.
A Study on the Scale Development of School Dropout

This study is intended to come up with the Scale of the danger in the adolescents' school-dropout. The present dissertation developed the questions and collected them on the base of the potential variables, that consist of the school-dropout of adolescents, and the operational definition of each variable, through the verification of the precedent research and the review of the related literatures. In addition, the interviews for the teachers who have experienced the school-dropouts of adolescents are performed and are analyzed, and then the relevant questions were culled. The Scale developed in this study is composed of 48 questions and 10 factors. The questions which have the same factors and clustered are reflected, and then are discerned into 3 dimensions, that is, the outer attitude, the inner attitude, and the attitude of parents. The Scale of the danger in the adolescents' school-dropout which is contrived through this study is expected to prevent school-dropouts to teenagers and the teachers.
An Influence of Adolescent's Self-Esteem and Environmental Characteristics on Life Satisfaction : Moderating Effect of Positive Self-Evaluation and Negative Self-Evaluation

This study analyzes the moderating effects of the self-esteem on the life satisfaction of 2,040 middle school senior students using the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2012 Data (KCYPS 2012) provided by the National Youth Policy Institute. The path analysis of how environmental characteristics, such as parents, friends, and school, affect life satisfaction, is based on four groups of self-esteem, categorized by positive and negative self-evaluation levels. The analysis suggests that groups with higher levels of positive self-evaluation have closer relevance in more paths than other groups. Furthermore, in groups with higher levels of negative self-evaluation, negative effects on life satisfaction are offset by positive self-evaluation. These results suggest research associated with the mental health of adolescents and their self-esteem should be performed according to two separate levels of self-esteem: positive self-evaluation and negative self-evaluation. Since low levels of negative self-evaluation doesn't necessarily guarantee high levels of positive self-evaluation, counseling for adolescents needs to have different tracks, addressing positive and negative self-evaluation levels.
WAVE Packet Transmission Method for Railroad WAVE Communication

In this paper, an efficient Wireless Access in Vehicular Environment (WAVE) packet transmission scheme for railroad communication is proposed. WAVE communication is a wireless local area network (WLAN) based communication and it is developed to be suitable for vehicular communication. There has been a lot of study on WAVE's applicability to Intelligent Transport System (ITS). As one of main transportation methods, by using WAVE, quality of railroad communication including WLAN based Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) can be enhanced and variety of railroad communication systems can be integrated into WAVE. However, there are technical challenges to adopt WAVE in railroad communications. For the simplest single-PHY WAVE, time division alternation of 50ms between Control Channel (CCH) and Service Channel (SCH) is required. Since there are delay sensitive railroad traffic types, alternation operation of CCH and SCH may cause performance degradation. In this paper, after identifying a couple of problems based on detailed analysis, a novel packet transmission scheme under railroad environment is proposed. The purpose of this study is to compare the marginal and internal fit of metal and zirconia coping which is fabricated by manual and CAD/CAM(Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing). The model is prepared with Urethane material and two abutment teeth are fabricated with a knife and chamfer margin. Silicon replica technique is used to measure the marginal fit of manually fabricated and the CAD/CAM coping. Internal fitting level is measured with a microscope and the image is captured with a CCD camera. The distance between abutment teeth and coping is measured with a callibrated image analyzer software; marginal opening (MO), marginal gap (MG), internal gap (IG) at maximum curvature area, axial gap (AG), and occlusal gap (OG). This study was designed to explore the factors affecting economic preparations for aging of middle-old aged women. Using fourth Korean retirement and income study panel data of National Pension Reacher Institute. The researcher explored the characteristics of preparation for the old age life who middle-old aged women and analyzed the factors affecting economic preparations for aging of middle-old aged women. The results were as follows. The the factors affecting economic preparations for aging of middle-old aged women were education level, subjective health status, a number of adolescent children(14-19), a number of adolescent children(20-39), public pension, financial asset and debt. On the basis of this results, suggestions for policy were offered.
Musculoskeletal Disorder Symptoms and Its Related Factors among Male Workers in Manufacturing Industries

This study was performed to determine the complaint rates of musculoskeletal symptoms and its association with related factors among manufacturing workers. The self-administered questionnaires were given to 856 male with 50 or less employees in manufacturing industries. As a results, complaint rates of work-related musculoskeletal symptoms of the body sites was 61.2% for shoulders, 55.4% for low back, 55.3% for neck, 38.6%, for legs/feet, 32.2% for hands/wrists/fingers and 26.9% for arms/elbows. In logistic regression analysis of significant factors related with musculoskeletal symptoms of body sites, neck was related with marital status, subjective health status, smoking, drinking coffee and occupational stress, shoulders was related with job tenure, shift work, visiting out-patient department and occupational stress, arms/elbows was related with sleeping time, experience of sick absence and occupational stress, hands/wrists/fingers was related with age, smoking, drinking coffee, working hour, job position, job tenure, visiting out-patient department and occupational stress, low back was related with educational level, BMI, sleeping time, job position, job tenure, visiting out-patient department and occupational stress and legs/feet was related with marital status, job position, job tenure, history of hospitalization and occupational stress.
A Study on the Characteristics of Lift Fluctuation Power Spectral Density in a Heat Exchanger Tube Array

Heat exchanger tube array in a heat recovery steam generator is exposed to the hot exhaust gas flow and it could cause the flow induced vibration, which could damage the heat exchanger tube array. It is needed to establish the characteristics of flow induced vibration in the tube array for the structural safe operation of the heat exchanger. Several researches for the flow induced vibration of typical heat exchangers had been conducted and the nondimensional PSD(Power Spectral Density) function with the Strouhal number, fD/U, had been derived by experimental method. The present study examined the results of the previous experimental researches for the nondimensional PSD characteristics by CFD analysis and the basis for the application of flow induced vibration to the heat recovery steam generator tube array would be prepared from the present CFD analysis. For the previous mentioned purpose, the present CFD analysis introduced circular cylinder tube array and calculated with the unsteady laminar flow for the tube array. The characteristics of lift fluctuation over the cylinder tube array was investigated. The derived nondimensional PSD was compared with the results of the previous experimental researches and the characteristics of lift PSD for circular cylinder tube array was established from the present CFD study.
Study about the satisfaction with simulation practice course experience on ACLS of paramedic students

The purpose of this study was to analysis a Korean version of Satisfaction with Simulation Experience(SSE) Scale by paramedic students. Total number of 111 students majoring in the EMT-paramedic education area have taken part in the survey after completing the professional cardiac resuscitation simulative training, using the standardized simulation satisfaction evaluation method (SSE scale). Through the scale, one's preference, necessity, ACLS theory grade, and satisfaction rate per year regarding the training were measured. To analyze one's preference, necessity, ACLS theory grade, and satisfaction rate per year in regards to the training, one-way ANOVA was used. The result reveals that the overall satisfaction rate was generally quite high. When one's preference and necessity rate is high, the satisfaction rate also seems to increase. The result indicates that the simulation training will enhance the students' clinical skill, patient evaluation, and treatment capability as well as one's field adaptation skill at the time of an emergency occurrence. Eventually, training through the ACLS simulation will be used in the future for the benefit of encouraging students from emergency rescue to adapt to the site of an emergency. Therefore, such an education method should be maintained and further developed.
Characteristics of LDPE resin film depending on RP contents

Due to tightened environmental regulations on halogen type flame retardants, the portions of those based on phosphorous compounds that are non-halogen type is rising. When producing functional film, the physical and thermal properties become distinctly different depending on the amount of Red-phosphorus(RP) addition which causes flame resistance. The physical properties of resin fall in big scale when too much flame retardants are added, and it is hard to be applied to functional films such as shrink or anticorrosive film. The purpose of this research is to study the effects on mechanical, physical, and other properties of RP-LDPE films by changing the RP-MB contents. The LDPE film used for this study was produced through blow-type injection molding. The flame resistance was VTM-0, and the tear resistance showed inverse trends of MD and TD. Contraction percentage showed no relationship with the amount of RP content, but the anti-corrosive property showed 0.05 % better result than the national anti-corrosion shrink film reliability standard.
Design and Construction of Test Field for Low Voltage Under Cable Fault Location Detection

Various reflectometry methods to locate power cable fault have been studied. But, most related studies has been verifying by simulation and laboratory test and study in conditions similar with real cable fault filed was not performed due to the absence of cable fault test field. Therefore, this paper design and construct test field for the standardized performance test and the operating education of cable fault location equipments. In the constructed test, open, short, half open and poor contact fault at 100m, 200m location of cable was produced and 1km cable role was installed for maximum distance measurement test. The test field will be used in the development and standardization of cable fault location technology, and te performance evaluation and certificate test of the related equipments.
A Development of NURBS-Based Pre and Post Processor for Structural Analysis of Free-Shaped Beam

Recently, the free form buildings are constructed frequently. Exterior and interior components of these buildings have the free cross-section and a curved shape. So, There are many usages of classical finite element having tapered section and free-style shape. Some general commercial applications like ETABS, SAP2000, MIDAS are usually used for the safety evaluation of the free form structures. However, there are some limits in the accuracy of structural analysis and the length of analysis time because a very complicated finite element mesh have to be used. Therefore, In this study, a pre and post program module was developed to take advantage of general 3-D curved beam element which has a free-style curved shape and mathematical backgrounds. Pre-post processing module has been developed in this study was developed to control the curvature of the curved members by the NURBS control points. As a result, fast geometric modeling than was possible commercial applications. In addition, realistic depiction of the shape and behavior patterns were possible because of the free-form building allows visual check of the free form.
The effect of self-transcendence and loneliness on quality of life of the elderly

purpose : The purpose of this study was examine the effect of self-transcendence and loneliness on quality of life of the elderly. Method : This was a descriptive survey study. The subjects was 171 elderly persons. Descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, and stepwise multiple regression were used in analysis of data. Results : Average score were 2.7 for self-transcendence, 2.0 for loneliness, and 3.0 for quality of life. Statistically significant positive correlations were observed between quality of life and self-transcendence. however, from the statistical point view, significantly negative correlation was observed between quality of life and loneliness. self-transcendence, economic status, general health status, loneliness and spouse were significant predictors of quality of life. Conclusion : This study will provide basic information for use in development of a program to encourage a quality of life for elderly persons.

This study aimed to investigate differences in self-esteem, self-efficacy, and resilience according to the general characteristics and properties of volunteer activity in Dental Hygiene students, and to investigate correlations and the factors affecting these. After explaining the aims of the study to participants and receiving their consent during January 2015, the participants were given a structured, self-report questionnaire, with 178 responses included in the final analysis. IBM SPSS Statistics (version 21.0) was used for statistical analysis, with a significance level of p<0.05. Some general characteristics and volunteer activity properties were found to affect self-efficacy, self-esteem, and resilience. Academic achievement and participation in volunteer activities improved self-efficacy, self-esteem, and resilience. In addition to the factors affecting academic achievement, volunteer participation, age, religious, etc. It is thought that the development of various programs that provide students with academic motivation and natural opportunities to participate in volunteer activities would be helpful, as would increasing group activities to encourage active participation.
A study on Career identity, Satisfaction in major, and Adjustment to college life for students of Department of Food and Nutrition at a University

The purpose of this study is to investigate relationships among career identity, satisfaction in major, and adjustment to college life for students who major in food and nutrition that is complex and has diversity of carrier and to serve as a guideline for career counselling and college life. After reliability and validity of the data collected were verified using IBM SPSS Statistics 22, difference in variables according to characteristics of students was examined using independent t-test, ANOVA, and chi-square test. The results showed that there was a positive correlation among career identity, satisfaction in major, and adjustment to college life and students who had prior knowledge of their major showed a higher level of career identity, satisfaction in major and adjustment to college life compared to those who did not. Therefore, it is suggested that guidance on Department of Food and Nutrition should be provided to students before they decide on their major for their increased satisfaction in major, smooth adjustment to college life, and career decision. With this data, we recognize the gravity of psychological factor and carrer consciousness may provide base data to practical use of student life and carrer guidance.
Decision of Image Harmfulness Using an Artificial Neural Network

Various types of multimedia contents have been widely spread and distributed with the Internet that is easy to use. Meanwhile, Multimedia contents can bright a social problem because juveniles can access such harmful contents easily through the Internet. This paper proposes a method to determine if an input image is harmful or not, using an neural network. The proposed method first detects a face region from an input image through MCT features. The method then extracts skin color regions using color features and obtains candidate nipple areas from the extracted skin regions. Subsequently, we determine if the input image is harmful, by filtering out non-nipple regions using the artificial neural network. Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively determine the harmfulness of input images.
Development and Applications of A Paternity and Kinship Analysis System Based on DNA Data

Recently, DNA data of missing person, killed person, and missing child continue to increase but most of statistical calculation for paternity confirmation is being done through manual methods or Excel. Therefore, we need development of a software which is able to facilitate both systematic management and effective analysis of Short Tandem Repeat (STR) derived from DNA data. Without extensive testing, through a twenty-month study was developed a web-based system which performs paternity analysis and kinship analysis easily based on the various options. The former uses an existing algorithm for paternity index and the latter does Identity by descent (IBD) formula. Due to our system validated over real datasets in terms of likelihood ratio and probability of paternity, it ensures increased reliability as well as effective management and analysis of DNA data in mass disaster. In addition, it includes advanced features such as an integrated environment, user-centered interface, process automation and so on.
A Longitudinal Exploratory Study on Change Research Trends and Patterns of Children's Problem Behaviors for Their Temperament and Parenting Behaviors -Focured on the Category and Content Analysis of Chronological Problem Behaviors from 1970 to 2015-

This study is intended to look for implications through longitudinal exploratory research on the change of children's problem behaviors for their temperament and parenting behaviors. The results are as follows. The factors influencing children's problem behaviors rose to 62 factors between 1990 and 2000, and 93 factors between 2000 and 2010 from total 41 factors between 1970 and 1990, which they were more than doubled after the 2000s compared with the earlier studies, subdividing children's problem behaviors. The proportion of the factors influencing children's problem behaviors showed that parents' moral thinking had the highest, and their negative thinking or emotion for children were higher than their moral thinking, which their problem behaviors were more greatly affected by parenting attitudes toward them than their own temperament or attitudes. The earlier studies were more likely to find the cause of children's problem behaviors for looking into the factors and causes influencing children's problem behaviors in terms of children's personal mental health, but there was more proportion of social environment, peer and teacher relationship while soaring family, relationship, home environment and child care center environment factors as well as children's personal factors after the 2000s. Consequently, the alternative resources or the environments of the times should be applied in other ways.
Comparison of the Perceptions between Teachers and Parents on the Role and Operation of Early Childhood Education and Development Institute

The purpose of this study was to examine the perceptions between teachers and parents on the role and operation of Sejong Special Self-Governing City Early Childhood Education and Development Institute (ECED). The conclusions were as follows: First, more than 96% of the teachers and parents perceived that it was necessary to establish ECED, and the major role of the institute should be providing experience-based educational program. Second, the program of the institute should be organized based on interest induction of children and their creativity development, and cultural art experience-based education was the most desirable program for the weekend. Third, for the teacher support programs, professional development and empathy ability improvement were the key of the program, whereas the parents perceived that communication skills with their children and understanding of child development were essential. As a result, it was obvious that the needs of ECED establishment from teachers and parents were high, and the perceptions of both sides were not different.

The Special Act on Safety Control for Infrastructure was enacted in 1995 to contribute to ensuring the public safety and welfare improvement of Korean people. In addition, the FMS has been developed and operated to manage facilities effectively. However, several problems of the FMS have also occurred. Thus, this study aimed to analyze the FMS and related systems scrutinizingly to suggest improvement directions such as (1) extension of the FMS into the national facility information management system including small-size facilities other than Types 1 and 2 facilities, (2) development and promote standardized inspection and diagnosis systems as per facility type, (3) development of the database utilization system including decision making support function for management body, and (4) providing the FMS performance improvements and stable operating environment utilizing latest information technologies. If the improvement directions suggested in this study are adopted, they can improve services for Korean people by providing facility safety and maintenance work parties with optimum information services.
Night Purge Control Strategies With Outdoor Air Temperature Conditions for Central Cooling System

In this study, the effects of control strategies of night-purge control system on control characteristics and energy consumption for central cooling system in building are researched by simulation. The start time and set-point temperature for night-purge control with outdoor temperature changes and building cold storage performance are obtained. The system analysis modelling is done by using TRNSYS program package, and the control performances with suggested night-purge control method are compared with the existing control ones. As a result, the suggested night-purge control method shows maximum 16.8% and 28.6% energy saving in comparison with existing control method and conventional one without night-purge control, respectively.
Effects of Intermittent Fasting and Thermotherapy on the Obese

The purpose of the study is to investigate the effectiveness of the concurrent thermotherapy and intermittent fasting therapy for obesity. The experimental therapy conducted at the same time for 11 days, and had 35 adult participants. Six variables(girth, body weight, body mass index, body fat ratio, abdominal fat, and body basal metabolic rate) of participants were measured initially before the experimental therapy, and respectively after two consecutive experimental therapies (S1 and S2). The differences between the averages of the six variables in the initial measurement (C group), S1 group, and S2 group are significant and correlate each other. The differences between variables also were significant within groups and between groups. Additionally, the results show that the effectiveness of the therapy was greater after the 2nd therapy than the 1st therapy. In conclusion, these findings suggest that the concurrent therapy is effective and useful as a natural healing therapy for obesity.
The Influence of the Teaching Ethics Perceived by Preservice Childcare Teachers on Teacher Efficacy and Professionalism Awareness

The objective of this study is understand the influence of the teaching ethics of preservice childcare teachers on teacher efficacy and professionalism awareness. In order to achieve the study objective, the questionnaires were distributed to 285 preservice childcare teachers in A city. In the results of the study, first, regarding the teaching ethics perceived by preservice childcare teachers, 'the ethics of infants' were the most highly perceived while the 'teaching strategy' on teacher efficacy, and 'social service' and 'professional ethics' on professionalism awareness were the most highly perceived. Second, preservice childcare teachers' teaching ethics, teacher efficacy, and professionalism awareness had statistically significant correlations. Third, preservice childcare teachers' teaching ethics had positive influence on teacher efficacy and professionalism awareness. Based on the results of this study, in order to improve the quality of the childcare service after understanding the importance of preservice childcare teachers' teaching ethics, it would be necessary to have various researches on the internal stability of the systematic education for childcare teachers to have teacher efficacy and professionalism awareness.
Study of the Behavior of Concrete Slab Track on Earthwork According to the Variation of Train Axle Load and Speed

In recent high speed rail way, the operating speed of train is enhanced and the introduction of EMU train vehicles is increased. In addition, as expected the demand of the concrete slab track and the trend of design cross-section reduction, the clear behavior of evaluation of internal slab layer is demanded about the variation of design load and speed. The purpose of this study is to evaluate and identify the mechanical behavior pattern of concrete slab track and track-road bed with the variation of axle load and train speed. To this end, the behavior of TCL and HSB was evaluated in according to the variation of axle load and speed. And the analysis results and the data measured TCL strain sensor, which was embedded in TCL slab under installation on Honam high speed railway, was analyzed. The analysis result shows that the strain are increasing in according to the speed-up of train, and line regression was obtained from measured data. Analysis data of the state of bonding condition of slab layer and measured data was analyzed. It is conducted that the TCL layer stress of HEMU 430X, which of axle load, is lighter was similar to the stress of KTX-Honam, the standard deviation of measured stress is dramatically increased.
Estimation Model of Electric Energy Consumption on Logistics Center Based on Thermodynamics Theory

Electric energy consumption is always followed by the introduction of diversity scale-up and state-of-the-art equipments in logistic centers. In order to analyze the status and the characteristic of the electric energy consumption quantitatively, and also to evaluate the efficiency of the electric energy, this research aims to develop an estimation model of standard electric energy consumption for logistic centers. The proposed model applies the thermodynamics theory so as to effectively reflect the peculiarity that the temperature in the logistic center influences the electric energy consumption. And the model consists of the energy consumed by the refrigerator, which can be subdivided into the heat conducted through the wall, the heat convected by the open doors and the heat lost into the goods, and the electric consumption of the machinery equipments. The model also includes a variety of explanatory variables to support an operator of logistics centers in evaluating the efficiency of energy consumption and establishing improvement strategies for energy efficiency. Application of the model developed in this study is discussed with observed data on energy consumption of a logistics center.
Effects of a Simulation-based High-risk neonatal Care Education on Learning Satisfaction, Class Participation, Learning Motivation and Clinical Competency in Nursing Students

The aim of this study was to verify the effects of simulation-based high-risk neonatal care education on learning satisfaction, class participation, learning motivation and clinical competency of Nursing Students. The participants were 118 nursing students in year 3 in D college. The questionaire survey on learning satisfaction, class participation, learning motivation and clinical competency were conducted before and after education to the nursing students. The data was analysed by the SPSS WIN 17.0 program. The results showed that the scores of learning satisfaction, class participation, learning motivation and clinical competency were significantly higher than before education. Also, clinical competency have significant relationships with learning satisfaction, class participation and learning motivation.

Silica aerogel-glass wool composites were prepared by glass wool and silica aerogel with liquid binder. Mixtures with binder were composed of CMC (carboxymethyl cellulose) and silica aerogel for glass wool board. Silica aerogel-glass wool composite boards were had
density by impregnation silica aerogel where from origin glass wool board at
density. Thermal conductivity of silica aerogel-glass wool composites were 0.0315 W/mK (up to 7.4% thermal resistance) and fire penetration time came to 362 seconds (up to 2.7 times stronger than origin glass wool board). In addition, hydrophobic aerogel characteristics prevented the adsorption of water onto silica aerogel-glass wool composite boards that was good for lightweight.

The purpose of this study is to analyse cucumber farms managing efficiency and to draw some factors needed to maximize farms production efficiency. After reviewing and analysing some cucumber farms main management index in detail, we found that, compared to scale improvement, technical efficiency has more potential to increase cucumber farms income. Moreover There is a positive correlation between cucumber production and farms pure technical efficiency slightly, but because of the degree, we suggested to reduce input elements for enhancing pure technical efficiency under certain conditions.
Effects of a Simulation-based Program on Self-Directed Learning Ability, Metacognition and Clinical Competence in a Nursing Student

The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of simulation-based program on self-directed learning ability, metacognition and clinical competence for nursing students. The subjects were 88 students enrolling in the simulation-based practice. Simulation-based program included team based pre-discussion, taking a simulation and being debriefed during 12 weeks. After the subjects had participated in the simulation-based program, they showed statistically significant higher self-directed learning ability(t=4.270, p<.001), metacognition(t=4.435, p<.001) than before. However, there was no significant change in clinical competence. Therefore, facility of self-directed learning ability, metacognition and clinical competence for nursing students needs to develop and operate more systematic simulation-based program.
Design of a Broadband Sleeve Monopole Antenna by Using Matching Characteristics of the Sleeve

The optimization design method for the broadband operation of the sleeve monopole was proposed to unify the multiple antennas essential to the multi-functional broadband wireless communication systems into one antenna. The structure of the sleeve part was optimized to enhance the impedance matching characteristics based on the theoretical analysis that sleeve part can works as the open stub. The thick monopole was used for the broadband operation. The radius of the sleeve and the permittivity of the dielectric inside the sleeve was optimized to enhance the impedance matching characteristics for the broadband operation. The optimized sleeve monopole having thick monopole shows broadband characteristics over 3:1 bandwidth, from 0.8 to 2.43 GHz, which is suitable for the commercial wireless communication system. The proposed broadband sleeve monopole can reduce multiple antennas essential to the multi-functional broadband systems to one antenna.

In this study, equation of calculating vertical stress increment developing in underneath of the embankment due to the extension of embankment width was derived through the use of theory of elasticity. Concept of the origin of plane was adopted to simplify derivation procedure for obtaining the equation. Comparing the results of the equation for calculating vertical stress increment with those of the numerical analyses, differences in the magnitudes of vertical stress increments decrease as the depths below embankment increase. Comparing the vertical stress increments with horizontal distances which correspond to certain depth, vertical stress increments obtained from the derived equation were slightly greater than those of numerical analyses.

The purpose of this study was to determine the growth characteristics and distribution pattern of a brackish water clam Corbicula japonica in Seomjin River. Field samples were taken from 14 stations with salinity gradients during spring. Salinity at the bottom layer ranged from 1.0 psu to 32.9 psu, with low salinities in the upper area of the river. In particular, salinity at St.11 was decreased drastically to be ca. 15.0 psu, indicating an intermediate salinity zone. Ecologically, this kind of defense mechanism of C. japonica against salinity flucuation may play an important role in their survival strategy.
Forecasting Daily Demand of Domestic City Gas with Selective Sampling

In this study, we consider a problem of forecasting daily city gas demand of Korea. Forecasting daily gas demand is a daily routine for gas provider, and gas demand needs to be forecasted accurately in order to guarantee secure gas supply. In this study, we analyze the time series of city gas demand in several ways. Data analysis shows that primary factors affecting the city gas demand include the demand of previous day, temperature, day of week, and so on. Incorporating these factors, we developed a multiple linear regression model. Also, we devised a sampling procedure that selectively collects the past data considering the characteristics of the city gas demand. Test results on real data exhibit that the MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error) obtained by the proposed method is about 2.22%, which amounts to 7% of the relative improvement ratio when compared with the existing method in the literature.
Ecosystem Factors that Affect Abandoned Mine Area Residents' Life Satisfaction

This study was conducted to figure out measures to improve abandoned mine area residents' life satisfaction from the viewpoint of ecosystems. The subjects of this study were 195 residents aged at least 30 years and structured survey were used collected from April, 3, 2014 to 20. The levels of abandoned mine area residents' mental health were measured using the general mental health scale and the residents' life satisfaction was examined using a life satisfaction scale. The abandoned mine area resident's life satisfaction was a little higher than the middle and their future life satisfaction was shown to be the lowest. Out of the microsystemic factors, mental health degree contributing to the quality of life and those with lower depression and anxiety showed higher life satisfaction. None of the mesosysystemic factors, were not found to influencing the quality of life. Out of the macrosystemic factors were found to be mine area special law in influencing the quality of life. In order to improve the life satisfaction of the mine locals seem to need practical strategies related for maintaining a healthy mind and continued implementation of the economic revitalization policy.
An Empirical Analysis of Management and Innovative Performances by the Characteristics of the Industrial Park Tenancy

This study applies regression analysis and propensity score matching to analyze the agglomeration economies which the characteristics of tenancy affect the performance of the manufacturing industry based on industrial parks. The estimation main data are from Kis-Value, KIPRIS and FEMIS. The results show that the industrial park tenancy tends to work positively on the management performances. But there is no evidence that on-Park firms in the metropolitan areas(Gyeonggi-do) have higher management and innovative performances than the comparable firms. The firms that have lived for a long time in the industrial parks, are good in total sales, however, they have no significant efficiency in net profit, operating profit, and patents. The firms, having several branches of the industrial parks, have lower operating profit than others. Long-term and multiple tenant firms do not learn over time nor do they establish better linkages and networks.

Bluetooth 4.0 is the most appropriate technology for Internet of Things, which can be used to enhance and expand the existing areas and areas with a variety of applications. In this paper, an example of the services of the Internet of Things, we developed a tour guide system using the Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi sensor technology. iBeacon-based push service have been limited to iOS smart phone series, non-iOS family and lower version of iOS 6 smart phones can not receive push-based services. This paper proposed in iBeacon and WiFi sensor is more than tourists, while maintaining the existing system (non-iOS smartphone users) can provide the service to you. Service tourist information as well as that can provide the advertising associated with the service. With 10 kinds of smart phones used in Korea was the experiment on the MAC information collected. This experiment is to track the behaviour of tourists in history can provide customized services can be based. Tourist destinations as well as amusement parks, resorts, etc. If you want to apply this system in a crowded place for user behavior information-gathering feature views over the a prevention of a missing child features such as notifications, risk, prevention is possible for a variety of applications.
The Effects of Fear of Negative Evaluation, Cognitive Emotional Regulation on Field Adaptation of New Graduate Nurses

The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationships between fear of negative evaluation, cognitive emotion regulation and field adaptation of new graduate nurses and the possible moderating effect of cognitive emotion regulation. The participants of this study were 181 new graduate nurses who have worked for less than 1 year at a hospital, data was collected by using self-report questionaires. The results of this study were fear of negative evaluation score 3.25, cognitive emotion regulation score 3.18 and field adaptation score 2.92. Fear of negative evaluation had a positive correlation with maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation, and a negative correlation with field adaptation, and did not have on moderating effect. As this results, it strengthen field adaptation for new graduate nurses in a new circumstance through self-esteem enhancement programs. It is also required to manage by using an adaptive cognitive emotion regualtion.

The primary purpose of this paper is to find out the environmental regulation in our global society with complex system concept. After the industrial revolution, there were working toward solving various problems while there has been an industry advancement. But, there are various issues that a simple international trade or economic technologic levels were not solved. Spatial Structure Analysis of View Angle Correction reflecting Characteristics of Universal Observation

The universal nature of humans is formed by the view angle and the visibility range. However, the majority of theories on spatial structure analysis based on the visual perception do neither reflect the view angle nor consider only the flat view angle. Some theories that reflect them is a theory where the part included in the view angle and the part excluded in the view angle have been separated in a dichotomous way, excluding the universal characteristics of humans. This study applied an observing probability to a 3-D visibility analysis theory by conducting a eye-tracking experiment, empirically determining the limits of the field of view, and deriving the observing probability by view angle. In addition, it attempted to identify the probability by manufacturing an application of spacial, visual perception analysis and applying the concept of multiple frustum culling. For the characteristics of observation, the data were measured and collected regarding the walking course for 3 minutes for an optional space, aimed for 33 people as subjects. Subsequently, the data were prepared by analyzing the observation fixation frequency probability.

LED(Light Emitting Diode) is used in various filed like a display because of low power consuming, long life span, high brightness, rapid response time and environmental-friendly characteristic. General fabrication method is combination blue light LED chip with yellow fluorescent substance. Because this way is suitable for industry field in terms of convenience, economic, efficiency. In white light LED packaging process, encapsulation process that is dispensing fluorescent substance with silicon to blue light LED chip is most important. So, in this paper we develop EHD pump system using voice coil motor and electrostatic pump for dispensing fluorescent substance. For these things we conduct basic test about liquid surface profiles by voltage and process time. Through this data we decide optimal process condition and verify the optimal condition using design of experiment method. And to confirm uniformity of the condition, we conduct repeat dispensing test.

The respiration is one of important factor in the radiation therapy. The existing commercial method of cone-beam computed tomography on LINAC does not consider respiratory motion of patient hence the images are both distorted and inaccurate. In this study, the cone-beam computed tomography images have been reconstructed from back projection radiography of specific phase on breathing cycle which concerned about respiratory movement in radiation therapy. This study investigated how different between cone-beam CT images with and without gating respiratory movement, and this paper provides that guide and implementation of gated cone-beam CT on radiation therapeutic equipment.

This study is a professor of media literacy and self-expression and emotion regulation strategies between was conducted to analyze the impact on the self-regulated learning abilities of youth, Media literacy has showed significant influence on self-regulated learning abilities of young people, self-expression and emotion regulation strategies had significant influence on self-regulated learning abilities of young people. In addition, media literacy, self-expression, emotion regulation strategy was found to significantly affect the path to self-regulated learning abilities of young people. Therefore, media literacy plays an important role in the self-regulated learning abilities of young people, self-expression and emotion regulation strategies was found that the effect is mediated between media literacy and self-regulated learning abilities of young people. The results of this study means a lot of hard work and training programs are needed for improving self-regulated learning and self-expression and emotion regulation strategies of youth through the school curriculum and education on media literacy era, which we hope in the future the youth of life necessary for self-expression, emotion regulation strategies, suggest to improve as a practical implication offers a number of implications for school education.
Headway Calculation and Train Control Algorithm for Performance Improvement in Radio based Train Control System

Radio based train control system performs train safe interval control by receiving in realtime the position information of trains driving in the control area of the wayside system and providing onboard system in each train with updated movement authority. The performance of the train control system is evaluated to calculate the minimum operation headway, which reflects the operation characteristics and the characteristics of the train as well as the interval control performance of the train control system. In this paper, we propose the operation headway calculation for radio based train control system and a new train interval control algorithm to improve the operation headway. The proposed headway calculation defines line headway and station headway by the estimation the safety margin distance reflecting the performance of the train control system. Furthermore the proposed Enhanced Train Interval Control(ETIC) algorithm defines a new movement authority including both distance and speed, and improves the train operation headway by using braking distance occurring inevitably in the preceding train. The proposed operation headway calculation is simulated with Korean Radio-based Train Control System(KRTCS) and the simulated result is compared to improved train interval control algorithm. According to the simulated results, the proposed operation headway calculation can be used as performance indicator for radio based train control system, and the improved train control algorithm can improve the line and station headway of the conventional radio based train control system.

This study aims to update the supply-demand model of wood products(FOSMO-2013) and to forecast mid and long run supply and demand for each products. The subjects of the study include sawnwood, plywood, particle board, fiberboard(MDF), and pulp. The updated partial equilibrium model is composed of supply function, import demand function, demand function, price relation function. The long run outlooks of world prices of wood and wood products are imported from the results of Buongiorno(2012). This study also adopt Buongiorno's scenarios, which includes three scenarios of IPCC(A1B, A2, B2) and the other one with assumption of increasing fuelwood consumption of A1B scenario. The result says that the domestic productions of wood products are expecting to decrease while the imports of them increase even there are some differences among the products as well as scenarios.

As new technologies are advancing and development paradigms are changing, software development process and development methods are evolving progressively. As a result, because the number of developing and managing processes and methodologies are increasing as a project in companies, effective management methods are needed. Especially, because companies should apply optimized methodology according to project's size and characteristics, customization technique of methodology is required urgently. In this paper, we propose a meta-model based methodology framework which can integrate and manage methodologies being developed progressively. Applying proposed methodology framework, a company is able to manage as well as develop optimized methodology easily as a project. Especially, because a proposed methodology framework is developed by meta-model, adding or extending new methodology elements can be realized simply as well as method elements are reused easily in case of customization of methodology as a project.

It is faced with the necessity of multi roll forming process of the ball slide rail which is made by adding the separate manufacturing processes, piercing, bending, trimming, to the roll forming process of a continuous plastic deformation, to improve the quality. However, the vibration and noise of the press machine in this process leads to the quality degradation of slide rail manufactured in this process. In this study, the roll was designed considering the optimal strain rates by the roll forming program with finite element method. And to estimate the static stability of the multi process the Von-Mises stress and deformation on the press was calculated with a structural analysis program. Also, to avoid driving systems in the resonance region their natural frequencies in the 1st and 2nd mode were calculated through the modal analysis. To verify its dynamic stability improvement the magnitudes of noise and vibration in the existing and studied system were compared using a microphone and accelerometers. And the widths and surface roughnesses of the rails which had been produced in the existing and studied process were measured. Therefore, it is known that multi roll forming process is stable in the analytical and experimental study.
Comparison of an Axillo-Breast Approach and Only-Axillary Approach in Robotic Endoscopic Thyroidectomy

Purpose: Various new techniques in thyroid surgery have been developed to improve visualization and reduce risk of complications. New approaches for robotic endoscopic thyroidectomy help to prevent neck scarring and improve surgical ergonomics. The purpose of this study was to compare the efficacy and adventages of an axillo-breast approach (AB group) and an only-axillary approach (OA group) in robotic endoscopic thyroidectomy. Methods: Between November 2008 and July 2014, axillo-breast approach was performed in 128 patients and only-axillary approach was performed in 128 patients for robotic endoscopic thyroidectomy. We compared tumor characteristics, surgical outcomes, and postoperative complications between the two approaches. The homogeneity between two groups of general characteristics was analyzed by independent t-test, fisher's exact test, Chi-square test. Results: There were no differences in terms of tumor characteristics, extent of thyroidectomy, retrieved nodes, and postoperative complications between the two approaches. The patients in OA group can avoid breast scar. Conclusion: Our techniques of AB and OA approaches for robotic endoscopic thyroidectomy are safe, feasible, and cosmetically excellent procedures. Also the OA approach for robotic endoscopic thyroidectomy is an attractive surgical option for patients with thyroid tumor who want an avoid breast scar.
The Effects of Bibliotherapy Program for Competency Enhancement in Nursing Students

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of Bibliotherapy Program for competency enhancement in nursing students. A quasi-experimental design was employed in this study. Participants for the study were 24 nursing students, 10 in the experimental group and 14 in the control group. This Program was conducted on the experimental group once a week for 90~120minutes/session during 10weeks(9session). Data were analyzed by using the SPSS/WIN. 21.0 program with
test, t-test and two-way ANOVA. As a result, Participants in the bibliotherapy reported significantly different in total competency(F=10.62, p=.001) scores from those in the control group. Components of competence were significant differences in the Basic competencies(F=8.74, p=.001) and Practical competencies(F=8.58, p=.001) scores, but the Results competence in citizenship competency(F=.229, p=0.797), there was no significant difference. This Program was effective in increasing competency(basic competencies and practical competencies) for nursing students. Therefore, this approach is recommended as enhance the competency strategy for nursing students.

Urban regeneration can be an effective tool to promote sustainability and enhance quality of village. Urban regeneration can be considered to be the process of reversing economic, social and physical decay having reached the point where market forces alone will not suffice. For this study, 154 village activist trainees are surveyed. Using the survey results, factor analysis, multi-regression analysis is conducted to identify the factor's significance and to find improvement properties by composing the significance and the satisfaction level. The purpose of this study is to suggest strategy of urban regeneration through the effect of urban regeneration factor on recognition and satisfaction. The findings show that environmental regeneration factor is more influential than economic, social and cultural factors on recognition and satisfaction. This study provide a convenient set of indicators for strategic focus to help urban regeneration policy.
The relationship of quality of sleep, fatigue and job stress of airlines international flight attendants in full service carriers

The purpose of the study was to explore quality of sleep, fatigue and job stress and to identify related factors in airlines international flight attendants. The major findings of this study were as follows: 1) Significant factors of job stress by Subject Characteristics were gender(t=-4.14, p<.001), position(F=3.47, p=.011), monthly flight time(F=3.70, p=.028), health supplements(t=3.66, p<.001), sleeping pills(t=4.27, p<.001). 2) A statistically significant relationship between quality of sleep(r=-.57, p<.001), fatigue(r=.61, p<.001) and job stress. 3) The results of the regression analyses showed that fatigue, sleeping pills, gender, quality of sleep were statistically significant in predicting airlines international flight attendants' job stress. The result of this review provide a better understanding of quality of sleep, fatigue and job stress in airlines international flight attendants.
A Study on the Mediation Effects of Depression and Self-efficacy on College Students' Stress and Subjective Happiness

This study aims to verify the structured relationship between college students' stress and their stress in the meditating depression and self-efficacy. Findings of the research are summarized as follows. The study looked into how stress would directly affect depression and self-efficacy. It was found that the stress would have immediate effects on depression and self-efficacy. In addition, it was noticed that stress indirectly influences college students' subjective happiness in meditating factors of depression and self-efficacy. After the investigation on the immediate effects of depression in relation to the self-efficacy, results of the study indicated that depression has an immediate negative influence on the self-efficacy. Self-efficacy appeared to affect subjective happiness positively and directly. However, its indirect effects on the subjective happiness was confirmed. Although the study failed to find any direct influence of the stress on subjective happiness, it was learned that stress causes an indirect effect through the meditating factors of depression and self-efficacy. In conclusion, the study suggests that subjective happiness can be improved by stress and depression relaxation, and improvement of self-efficacy.
The Effects of Metabolic Syndrome on Quality of Life

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of metabolic syndrome(MS) on quality of life(QoL) using the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey of 2013. We analyzed data for 4,890 adults, aged 19 year or older and provided the correct data about MS and QoL. MS was defined by the National Cholesterol Education Program-Adult Treatment Panel III with Korea-specific waist circumference cutoffs and QoL was measured by the EuroQol 5-dimension(EQ-5D). The prevalence of MS was 22.1% and high density lipoprotein(HDL)-cholesterol was the highest prevalence in MS components. The mean of EQ-5D index was significantly lower in subject with MS compared to subjects without MS. Among MS components, only higher waist circumference led to EQ-5D index decreasing and the regression coefficient was -0.018. In conclusion, we suggest the attention to QoL and intervention program for improving the QoL in subjects with MS.
Study of Physical Activities and Nutrient Intakes of Adults with metabolically healthy obesity and those with metabolically unhealthy obesity

This study divides subjects into people with metabolically healthy obesity and those with metabolically unhealthy obesity to identify the physical activities and nutrients influencing adults with obesity. Participants in the sixth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey conducted from January through December 2013 were selected as the subjects, and an analysis of complex survey samples was conducted with them. It was found that the number of days of a flexibility exercise (Odds ratio (OR)=1.18, 95% confidence interval (95% CI)=1.01-1.38), water intake (OR=1.04, 95% CI=1.01-1.06) and protein intake (OR=1.07, 95% CI=1.02-1.13) for one week were higher in people with metabolically healthy obesity than in those with metabolically unhealthy obesity, while their fat intake (OR=0.99, 95% CI=0.98-1.00)and carbohydrate intake (OR=0.98, 95% CI=0.97-0.99) were lower. Based on the results of this study, it was found that nursing intervention for obesity would need an approach according to the metabolic condition of obesity.

A Posterior Preference Articulation Method to the Weighted Mean Squared Error Minimization Approach in Multi-Response Surface Optimization

Multi-Response Surface Optimization aims at finding the optimal setting of input variables considering multiple responses simultaneously. The Weighted Mean Squared Error (WMSE) minimization approach, which imposes a different weight on the two components of mean squared error, squared bias and variance, first obtains WMSE for each response and then minimizes all the WMSEs at once. Most of the methods proposed for the WMSE minimization approach to date are classified into the prior preference articulation approach, which requires that a decision maker (DM) provides his/her preference information a priori. However, it is quite difficult for the DM to provide such information in advance, because he/she cannot experience the relationships or conflicts among the responses. To overcome this limitation, this paper proposes a posterior preference articulation method to the WMSE minimization approach. The proposed method first generates all (or most) of the nondominated solutions without the DM's preference information. Then, the DM selects the best one from the set of nondominated solutions a posteriori. Its advantage is that it provides an opportunity for the DM to understand the tradeoffs in the entire set of nondominated solutions and effectively obtains the most preferred solution suitable for his/her preference structure.

In recently, the demand of cover-glass is increased because smart phone, tablet pc, and electrical device has become widely used. The display of mobile device is enlarged, so it is necessary to have a high strength against the external force such as contact or falling. In fabrication process of cover-glass, a grinding process is very important process to obtain high strength of glass. Conventional grinding process using a grinding wheel is caused such as a scratch, chipping, notch, and micro-crack on a surface. In this paper, polishing system using a abrasive film was developed for a grinding of mobile cover-glass. To evaluate structural stability of the designed system, finite element model of the polishing system is generated, and multi-body dynamic analysis of abrasive film polishing machine is proposed. As a result of the analysis, stress and displacement analysis of abrasive film polishing system are performed, and using laser displacement sensor, structural stability of abrasive film polishing system is confirmed by measuring displacement.
The Influence of Health Behaviors and Sleep related Factors on Cognitive Function in the Elderly Hypertensive Patients

This study examined effects of health behaviors and sleep related factor on cognitive function in the elderly hypertensive patients. Data were collected through a face to face interview survey with structured questionnaire form 140 elderly with hypertension (
) from February 5 to May 1, 2013. Research instruments included Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI), Epworth Sleepiness Scale(ESS) and Korean version the Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE-K). Cognitive function was negatively related to degradation in quality of sleep(r=-.29, p<.001). Sleep duration were negatively related to body mass index(r=-.18, p=.032) and degradation in quality of sleep(r=-.59, p<.001). Sleep duration was positively related to daytime sleepiness(r=.22, p=.008). Hierarchical multiple regression showed that age, education levels and living arrangement were associated with cognitive function(F=8.56, p<.001, Adjusted
). After controlling for demographic characteristics and health behaviors, degradation in quality of sleep(
, p=.008) was identified as significant predictors of cognitive function. This final model explained 17.0% of the cognitive function in the elderly hypertensive patients(F=4.09, p<.001). Therefore, as a strategy improving cognitive function of the elderly with hypertension, therapeutic intervention should be developed to improve quality of sleep considering age, education levels and living arrangement.
Long-term Bed Change Analysis and Equilibrium Bed Elevation Prediction after Weir Construction in Nakdong River

Bed changes in the Nakdong River were analyzed with long-term monitoring data for analyzing riverbed change patterns after Four Major Rivers Restoration Project (FMRRP). Also, possible long-term bed changes were predicted using one-dimensional numerical model for the section where the largest change was observed after FMRRP. The sensitive analysis was performed with different incoming sediment discharge conditions and sediment transport equations. The numerical model was calibrated by comparing short-term monitoring data and simulated results, and was applied for predicting bed change after 10 years. As a result of monitoring data analysis, the largest change in bed elevation occurred at the section between the Changnyeong-Haman and Hapcheon-Changnyeong weirs. The result of one-dimensional numerical modeling for 10 years indicated that maximum depositions of 2.07 m and 3.26 m were produced in this section.
Effect of Team-based Learning on Anatomy Subject for Biological Nursing Science Education of Nursing students

This sturdy examined the effectiveness of Team-Based Learning(TBL) program according to learning attitude, learning motivation and self-directed learning of nursing students learning the anatomy. A 12week TBL program which they were made small group as 6-7 students aimed at anatomy aspects was given 145 freshmen. A triangulation that quantitative Research used paired t-test, Pearson Correlation Coefficient by SPSS WIN 18.0 and qualitative research was conducted content analysis. Through this subject, significant improvement was found in learning motivation(t=-2.97, p<.003) and self-directed learning(t=-2.40, p<.018). There was a significant positive correlation. TBL is useful teaching and learning method on nursing students. We suggest that it is needed to measure the educational effects of TBL against other subjects.

Investors analyze corporate value using the methodology trying to simultaneously satisfy the profitability and stability. In this study, comparing/combining the methodology of corporate value analysis to present a method of analyzing the optimal corporate value. The results of this study can be classified into two. First, it is a model derivation for corporate value analysis. EVA, AEM, and DDM models, to analyze the results, it was look in terms of profitability and stability. EVA and AEM model was stable than the market, profitability appear high, it was suitable to assess the value of the company. However, DDM, which is more stable than the market, profitability is low, it was not suitable. Secondly, by metering the existing methodology presented a new analysis method. A result of a combination of methodology was analyzed by deformation model, "AEM + DEA" and "DDM + DEA", "AEM + EVA", it was found that it is better than the market and the traditional model. AEM and DDM modified model was also found to be better than the market and the existing methodologies. This was reflected in a situation where a change in market environment based on, for being able to present an appropriate analytical method, it can find the suggestions of the study.
Searching for an Optimal Level of Cash Holdings for Korean Chaebols

This study examined one of the concerned or even imperative issues in the field of contemporary finance related to approaching an optimal level of cash holdings for the firms belonging to the chaebols in the Korean domestic capital markets. However, the subject may not have been drawn much attention so far, even if there are still ongoing and active debates among the interest parties at the macro- or micro-level. Two primary hypotheses were postulated to be empirically tested. On the results of the first hypothesis test for the existence of an optimal cash reserves for the sample firms, two estimation techniques were performed in terms of a quadratic regression equation and a relationship between a firm's value and the residuals derived from the static panel date model. As a primary financial implication of the study which may contribute to the practitioners and the academics in finance, the optimal level of cash holdings can be estimated by controlling for the a priori significant components for the sample firms towards maximizing firm value.

This study explored the quality of nursing services in relation to a nurse's psychosocial factors (type A behavior pattern, self-esteem, locus of control, and anxiety), job stress, and fatigue. This study targeted 503 nurses who currently work at six different general hospitals in Daejeon city, The data was collected by self-administered questionnaire which was surveyed from April 1 to June 30, 2014. As the result of analysis of covariance, psychosocial factors affect the quality of nursing services more than job stress or fatigue. In addition to that, as parts of psychosocial factors, high self-esteem and low fatigue, job stress, and anxiety increase the quality of nursing services. The research above implies that the quality of nursing services of nurses who work at the general hospital has a correlation with not only the psychosocial factors but also job stress, and fatigue.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of health behavior, resilience an recognition of well-dying on the depression of elderly with chronic disease. It was the survey period was from February 13 to March 20, 2015 with 185 people. For data analysis, SPSS 20.0 program was used. As a result, the mean level of health behavior was 2.60, the mean level of resilience was 3.14, recognition of well-dying was 3.41, the mean level of depression was 3.29. Depression was showed a negative corelation with health behavior and recognition of well-dying. Factors that affect depression was health behavior, subjective health status, recognition of well-dying, live with and sex. Also, strange cause of these was 44.8% of depression. Results suggest that, to mediate melancholy elderly, it is necessary to develop a program in consideration of various factors.
A Study on the Effects of Emotional Labor on Counterproductive Work Behavior: Mediated by Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment

This research conducted a survey of the workers in medical institutions and carried out empirical analysis through covariance structure equation modelling in order to examine the relationship among emotional labor, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and counterproductive work behaviors of medical institution workers. The results of the empirical analysis are as follows; First, the frequency of emotional expression, one of the dimensions of emotional labor, did not have a positive influence on job satisfaction, but both the degree of emotional expression attentiveness and emotional dissonance had a negatively significant effect on job satisfaction. Second, job satisfaction had a positively significant effect on organizational commitment. Third, organizational commitment had a negatively significant effect on counterproductive work behaviors toward both individuals and organizations. This research result shows that it is necessary to pay attention to drawing a plan to reduce emotional labor that workers in medical institutions experience since emotional labor causes them to get negative results while they are performing their duties.

This paper is a study on using gas springs for reduced friction in the elevation of the large television stand. Target is applied to the operation of the elevation over 50-inch television that uses a gas spring. Gas seal lip technology is needed for development acting on the piston rod in order to obtain a reduction in friction in elevation operation. In order to acting on the gas seal lip technology, the improved friction force can be obtained through the inner diameter of gas seal lip, the design of cutting angle and the changes of material.

This thesis is about the system where the solar module is attached to the high functional guardrail posts with anti-weed, anti-plant, and road-kill applied to produce internal power, enabling the integrated control and real-time monitoring of appearance of wildlife and road conditions using the USN. The whole system consists of a photovoltaic module(PV), a detection sensor(pyroelectric), a controller(operation select and motion sensor), the USN system, the DB(sound and flash), an output unit of sound and flash, and the control system of road-kill prevention and safety induction for vehicles. Thus this study aims to address the remote control and monitoring system of multipurpose guardrails to improve road environment, prevent road-kills, protect wild animals, and guide cars safely by using the USN which is combined with new renewable energy and IT convergence technology. As a result of the study on the remote control and monitoring system using the USN, it was ascertained that the response time of the unmanned sensing system was within 5.1 ms with the current consumption of 0.328 mA, and the data transmission speed of the remote control system was 250 kbps with the current consumption of 0.283 mA.
The Relationship between Weathering Degree and Reflectance of Laser Scanner Considering RGB Value

Recently, to improve manual mapping method, digital mapping using high-resolution camera and laser scanner has increasingly attracted attention and the relevant study is reportedly on the rise. In this study, laboratory and field test which are intended to quantitatively analyze and estimate the weathering degree which is one of the engineering characteristics of tunnel face using laser scanner that integrates high-solution imaging technique have been conducted. In a bid to analyze correlation between reflectance of laser scanner and weathering degree, investigation of the factors influencing on reflectance was carried out. And to minimize the effect on RGB value which is one the critical influential factors on reflectance, modification equation obtained from lab test was proposed. Modification equation proposed in this study was verified by comparing the values before and after correction using the data obtained by scanning. Consequently, weathering index estimated by modified reflectance appeared very similar with dominant weathering degree and weathering ratio monitored at the field.

The method of moments (MoM) is implemented to simulate scattering from a PEC (perfectly electric conductor) cylinder in the TE(transversw electric) EFIE (Electric Field Integral Equation) approach. The procedure expresses the singularity integral and the hypersingularity integral in terms of an analytic function and employs a singularity isolation process coupled with numerical technique along the discretized segment to evaluate the self terms. It is known that, in the MoM technique, the choice of base functions and test functions is very important for the accuracy and convergence of the numerical analysis. Thus, in this paper, three conditions, obtained from the combination of basis functions and test functions, are adopted to get the induced currents on the PEC surface. These currents are compared to the analytical one in the relative rms current error to get the condition that shows fast convergence rate. The fast order of convergence of the current error, 2.528, is obtained under the combination of pulse basis function/delta test function.
A study of technology evaluation for the development of digital radio frequency memory based on DTV methodology

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the value of the development technology for the Digital Radio Frequency Memory(DRFM), which is a core part of the aircraft jamming equipment to retransmit the jamming signals. In this study, we evaluated the values of the development technology using DTV, which is a developed methodology for the evauation of defense technology by the Defense Agency for Technology and Quality(DTaQ). From the results, the economic value for the DRFM development technology and the multiplier of public benefit considering the peculiarities of defense technology were evaluated in 854 million won and 0.7899, respectively, and the public benefit value was calculated as 675 million won. The final value of the development technology was evaluated in 1,529 million won.
BIM System Development for Conceptual Design and Pre-Feasibility Study of Cable-Stayed Bridge

This paper has developed the system for supporting the approximate construction cost and the quantity estimation based on 3D model information in the pre-project planning phase of 3-span continuous cable-bridge with 2-pylons. First of all, we'd analyzed the design information (structural design report, blueprint and quantity) of the existing cable-stayed bridges and derived the design variables of cable-stayed bridges. We developed the BIM wizard that generates a cable-stayed bridge model parametrically based on derived design variables. The principle material quantities of cable-stayed bridge are calculated directly from 3-dimensional bridge model built by using the BIM wizard. Then, we can estimate the construction cost in relation to its quantities and unit cost of cable-stayed bridge. In a result, we have established the system that the construction cost can be estimated more specific than the conventional method (construction estimates per meter or square meter). We hereby will be able to review various alternatives as soon as possible in bidding process.

Diverse methods are used to detect such codes including those based on signature, API flow, strings, etc. But most of them are limited in detecting new malicious codes due to bypass techniques. Therefore, a lot of researches have been performed for more efficient detection of malicious codes. Of them, visualization technique is one of the most actively researched areas these days. Since the method enables more intuitive recognition of malicious codes, it is useful in detecting and examining a large number of malicious codes efficiently. In this paper, we analyze the relationships between malicious codes and Native API functions. Also, by applying the word cloud with text mining technique, major Native APIs of malicious codes are visualized to assess their maliciousness. The proposed malicious code analysis method would be helpful in intuitively probing behaviors of malware.
Influential Factors for the Sexual Quality of Life in Married Men and Women in Their 40s

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship of 22 selected variables for the sexual quality of life(SQOL) of married men and women in their 40s in an effort to lay the foundation for the development of intervention programs geared toward promoting the sexual health of married middle-aged men and women. The selected variables were eight demographic ones, eight sex-related ones and sex marital relationship ones. The subjects in this study were the visitors of four different health examination centers in Seoul. Two of the health examination centers were located in the region of Gangnam, and the others were located in the area of Gangbuk. After a survey was conducted from January 19 to March 5, 2015, the answer sheets from 187 respondents who were aged between 40 and 49 were analyzed. As a result, academic credential(p<.05), health status(p<.001), duration of marriage(p<.01) and monthly mean income(p<.01) were identified significant demographic variables to affect the sexual quality of life. Among the sex-related variables, the level of sex knowledge(p<.01) and exposure to pornography exercised(p<.001) and the husband's participation in delivery(p<.001) had a significant influence the sexual quality of life. All the variables of marital relationship that were marital dilemma(p<.05), the frequency of sexual relations(p<.001), love toward the spouse(p<.001), overall family harmony(p<.001), nonsexual communication(p<.001) and sexual communication(p<.001) had a significant impact on the improvement of the sexual quality of life. In conclusion, the variables of marital relationship were found to have been more important factors to affect the improvement of the sexual quality of life than the demographic and sex-related ones.
