Evaluation of mechanical properties and springback for embossed aluminum sheet - part I

Embossed aluminum sheets were been used in heat insulation purpose for automative exhaust parts because of increasing their surface areas and stiffness reinforcement. However, there are many restrictions because of high rate of wrinkle occurrence on press working. We have performed the tensile and bending tests for embossed sheets to clarity its mechanical properties and springback characteristics. Embossed aluminum sheets showed a different flow stress after plastic yielding due to flattening the embossed cone shape. Above all, yield stress of parallel embossed specimen decreases while its diagonal one increases and the decrease of young's modulus in the embossed sheets contributes to the increase of springback amount.
On Slimming down the Functions Room of Light Rail Transit Stations by Utilizing an Enhanced DSM Method

It appears that the rapid advance in technology has allowed to broaden the variety of rail systems technology, thereby fostering new business opportunity in rail industry. The direction of rail systems operations is mainly two fold. In one direction, long distance operations between mega cities are pursued with help of high speed trains under development. In the other case, relatively short distance operations for covering intra-city or suburban area are becoming popular. A good example of the latter case is light rail transit (LRT) systems. Due to the short distance operation, it is thus expected that both the development and operation cost for LRT systems be reduced to some extent. The cost reduction desired in there can be gained by scaling down the sizes of both the trains and stations as compared to those of normal rail systems. However, it is not well known how the LRT stations can be scaled down. The objective of this paper is to study on how to slim down the stations (particularly, the functions room) of LRT systems. To achieve the objective, an approach is studied based on a modified method of design structure matrix (DSM). Specifically, using the enhanced DSM method, an integrated architecture is developed for the functions room, in which equipments are housed to perform the functions of electricity, signaling, and communication for LRT stations. The use of the result indicates that the desired reduction can be obtained with the approach taken in the paper.
Comparison of the Surface Roughness according to the Workpiece Materials of Turning Operations

The turning clearance angle changes the machining characteristics. In this study, three workpiece materials, machine structural carbon steel, chrome-molybdenum steel and stainless steel, were examined. The experiments revealed how the features of selected materials changed when they were processed with machining operation. To find the surface roughness of workpiece materials, the workpiece materials, which have a higher tensile strength, showed a much better surface roughness in the surface roughness tester. Moreover, the process feed rate was compared between 0.07 mm/rev and 0.10 mm/rev. When the process feed rate was 0.07 mm/rev, the surface roughness has superior results without reference to the quality of the materials. Numerical Analysis on Cooling Characteristics of the Heat Sink for Amplifier

The objective of this study is to numerically investigate the cooling characteristics of the heat sink as a cooling device for the amplifier. In order to analyze the heat transfer performances of the heat sink, the steady-state thermal model of the ANSYS software was used and analyzed with the fin thickness, fin pitch and fin number of the heat sink. As a result, the temperature at the junction of heat sink was decreased with the increase of fin thickness and fin number. In addition, the thermal resistances of the heat sinks were enhanced from
, respectively, with the increase of the fin thickness from 1 mm to 3 mm and fin number from 9 to 20, respectively.
Development of the hot ring rolling processes for multilayered ring parts with a large outer diameter

In this study, multilayered rings with a large outer diameter have been developed using a hot ring rolling process. The ring rolling process has been analyzed by rigid plastic finite element analyses (FEA) using the AFDEX2D and AFDEX3D/HEXA/RING simulators, where the finite element meshes received severe plastic deformation are remeshed into a fine mesh-size using a dual-mesh system. According to the simulated results, the design variables of the multilayered rings were determined and real tests were conducted to check the validity of the simulation results. By adopting the hot ring rolling process, the input weight of raw materials was reduced by 40% against the conventional hot forging process and that the recovery rate was increased by 24%. The measurement of the averaged roundness was satisfied within 0.5 mm for both the inner and outer diameters. Moreover, the hot ring rolling processes yielded 1.49 Cpk for the outer-diameter and 0.84 Cpk 0.84 for the inner-diameter.
Characteristics Analysis of CVT with Built-in Crank for Bicycle

Bicycle is one of the most popular mode of transport due to the increase of interest in the well-being and environment pollution. Before fabricating a continuously variable transmission that is applied to the actual bicycle, for reducing the problems in the early stage, the reliable simulation program has been applied and the financial problem can be solved. In this paper, in order to confirm the design factor, the stress analysis has been applied. In all models, each link and the joint portion are assumed to be a major design factors, and impact of each link and joints received stress during the operation and it is confirmed by using the CAE. Also, for the analysis region, the special code has been developed to calculate pulsation phenomenon through appropriate mathematical modeling.
Biomechanical Analysis of Key Motion on BoA's No. 1 in K-Pop Dance

The purpose of this study was to investigate biomechanical factors on key motions in K-Pop dance(BoA's No.1). A professional choreographer who was BoA's K-Pop No. 1 dance participated in this study. ROMs(range of motion) of shoulder and elbow joints in AP direction were greater than other joints. Those of trunk and pelvis in ML direction were the greatest of other directions. The velocity of CoG in SI direction was greater than other directions, and also max angular velocities of shoulder, elbow, knee, and hip joints in AP direction were the greatest of all directions. But ROM and angular velocity of ankle joint were very small. Max rotational powers of shoulder and knee joints were larger than other joints.
Effectiveness of school counseling based on "the AMPQ-II and administrative manual": Focusing on the counselor and the number of session factors

The Korean government has administered the 'AMPQ-II' to all middle school students to prevent psychological problems and make immediate interventions when necessary. On the other hand, there has been a paucity of studies of the effectiveness of this governmental policy, or the factors influencing the effectiveness of the intervention. Using the data from 48 counselees from two middle schools, the present study examined the effectiveness of the intervention programs, and whether the counselor's characteristics and the number of counseling sessions might matter in the effect. The results suggested that most students reported improvements after the interventions. The intervention effect was less pronounced when the counselors had governmental certification. The number of counseling sessions was not a significant factor for predicting the effectiveness of the interventions. Interpretations of the present study should be made cautiously because of the small sample size. The present results, however, suggest that efforts to improve the quality of the counseling teachers are necessary. In addition, increasing the number of counseling sessions is not necessarily effective.
An Analysis of Single-person Households' Expenditure Pattern

This study examines how single-person household expenditure patterns are different with respect to age and income groups using Tobit model. The expenditure data of the national household survey from 2006 to 2012 were used. The results show that income elasticities of all items are greater than 1 except for food & beverage, housing, water, electricity & gas, and Communication. Income elasticities are significantly different among consuming items. Additionally the income elasticities are also different between various age and income groups of single-person households. Therefore governments and businesses have to take this into account when devising their policies or strategies regarding single-person households. Especially, businesses need to adopt a strategy targeted at single-person households with high income and buying power such as unmarried professional people. As the number of single-person household increases the proportion of expenditures on necessities such as beverage, food, and energy is expected to decrease while that on services increases. Consequently policy responses are required to prepare for the expansion of service industries such as health, hospital, and housekeeping services.
An Analysis of the AHP of the Lifelong Education Program based on the Six Classification Scheme

This study is to analyze the AHP of the lifelong education program per each domain of six classifications. According to this study result, the relative importance of the lifelong education program per each domain is as following: Literacy education, Vocation and Workforce education, Citizen Participatory education in descending order of importance. As for the relative importance of the lifelong education program per each subcomponent is Expended literacy, Fundamental Life Skill, Workforce Continuing Education in descending order of importance. The results of this study can be used in lifelong educators of education and training and lifelong education, designed, theoretically realistic lifelong education programs development and management of educational practice field, provides many implications for the development of lifelong learning as practical implications.
A Study of Effects of Interorganizational Relationship Factors on Technology Diffusion in Supply Chain Networks

This study proposed a model to examine the interorganizational relationship factors on the technology diffusion in supply chain networks whereby a firm's adoption decision is influenced by information from physical and social proximity with others as well as its own attributes. To test several hypotheses developed in this context, this paper analyzed the data set of US consumer packaged goods companies adopting an inventory tracking technology in a retail supply chain and found that a potential adopter's decision is largely influenced by the social proximity with prior adopters in a network over time, while a firm's likelihood of adoption at the initial period is mainly determined by its own attributes.
Identifying Influential Users of College Sports Teams' Social Media Accounts

This study tried to identify the influential users of college sports teams' Twitter accounts and categorize them into three groups including an official account, media account, and layperson account. A total of 14 Twitter accounts at NCAA Division 1 universities were selected through convenience sampling method. In men's sports, the greatest number of influential users was layperson account followed by media account and official account. In women's sports, the greatest number of influential users was layperson account followed by official account and media account. The results provided the insight of college sports online social network and will expand the growing literature on social media in sport and offer practical data for marketers to use social media more effectively.
Bridging the Chasm between Design and Marketing: Problems and Solutions in the Integration Between Design and Marketing

Although integrating design and marketing is critical for successful new product development (NPD), there has been a limited attention to the potential problems that arise during the NPD process and their possible solutions in academic literature. In order to narrow this gap, our study conducted a series of surveys of an interdisciplinary class project between marketing and design students over two year periods at one of U.S. universities. From the survey data collected from the total of 65 students who participated in the collaboration projects, we identified two most common problems: (1) conflict from the functional background, and (2) the conflict from imbalanced decision-making authority between design and marketing. In order to resolve such conflict, we found the two contrasting solutions: (1) facilitating communication and (2) prohibiting communication. Our findings contribute to the formation of a theoretical basis for research on the topic of design-marketing integration.
Measuring the Relative Risk Aversion Coefficients of Apple Farmers

This paper estimates the relative risk aversion coefficients of apple farmers. Two hypothetical situations are designed and two-stage questionnaires are conducted for each situation. A utility function that has constant relative risk aversion was used, and it was assumed that the relative risk aversion coefficients follow a log-normal distribution. To reduce the hypothetical bias, the data was collected from repetitive questions. As a result, the mean and standard deviation of the relative risk aversion coefficients of apple farmers was 10.915 and 7.516, respectively. The relative risk aversion coefficients conditional on a survey response in each category were also measured. These findings can be used as parameters to analyze the effects of risk management tools.
Meta Analysis of Social Worker's Factor of Burnout

In this research, we conducted meta analysis of the cases of "burnout" of social workers from the 1990s to 2013. The result of analysis shows that the factors that cause burnout of social workers include work experience, compensation from work environment, supervision, promotion, work freedom-related factors and client-related factors such as the seriousness of client problems, the appropriateness of client counts, and all factors excluding client-related factors showed signficaint correlatoins. Moreover, the higher the age and the length of work experience, the lower the sense of self-wroth and emotional intelligence; the higher the social support, the lower the possibility of burn out. The research results suggest need for programs to prevent burn out of social service providers both in environment internal and external to organizatoins.
Study on Brand Extension Evaluation of Consumer Preference and Brand Concept : Focused on Similarity

This study is to verify the effect of similarity of expanded-product, brand concepts of parent-brands and implicit theory of customers on the brand-extension evaluation, in order to reduce the risk of brand extension. First, this research documents how the similarity between the parent-brands and expanded-products affect brand-extension evaluations as a main effect variable. Second, this study examines the moderating effect of the brand concepts of parent-brands on the brand-extension evaluation. Third, this research documents how implicit theories regarding personality affect consumer evaluations about the brand-extension. The study assumes and tests that consumers in the group of incremental theorists are more accepting of brand-extensions than consumers in the group of entity theorists. The result figures out the implicit theory customers has some moderating effect on the evaluations, yet the direction of the effects is contrary to expectations.
What Motivates Chinese Sports Fans to Subscribe to Athletes' Social Networking Service Accounts?

This study attempted to identify the motivational factors for using athletes' SNS among Chinese sports fans. The researchers posted a hyperlink of an online survey on a total of 8 Chinese Olympians' SNS(Weibo) accounts after obtaining the athlete's approval. A total of 274 surveys were gathered from the visitors of SNS. Of the 274 surveys, 33 were discarded because of missing values. Confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling revealed the following. Diversion, pass-time, athlete support, and technical knowledge were significantly and positively related to social media consumption while information, socialization, and fanship had no significant predictive effect on social media consumption.
A study on Influencing Factors of Knowledge Creation focus on Transactive Memory

As an empirical study focused on how transactive memory concept influence the four processes of knowledge growth, this study aimed at explaining the function of transactive memory in the dynamic process of knowledge growth. To verify the research model, this study carried out a path analysis of 130 team memebers and as a result, part of the team transactive memory measurements does affect the knowledge growth. Consequentially, transactive memory especially based on team level, is relevant with knowledge growth. According to team level, this study targeted at the team members, and by adopting the team transactive memory concept in Cognitive Psycology, theoretically explained and analysed how to approach personal knowledge in internal organizations. To accelerate the knowledge process, the work should be modified collaboratively by trusting the team members' duty relations more than specialized knowledge. Furthermore, managers had better assign team members the work where they can make the most of their personal knowledge, and this study presented that the whole team performance could be improved by doing that.
Work Satisfaction and Quality of Life in Baby Boomer : Focused on Retirement Preparation as Mediator Effect

Purpose: This study examined the level of retirement preparation and quality of life and to identify the relationship among work, retirement preparation and quality of life in the baby boomer generation. Methods: The subjects of this study were 204 people in the baby boomer generation in Changwon city, Gyeongsangnam-do. Results: Work affected the quality of life in the Changwon city baby boomer generation through job satisfaction and social interaction in the workplace. Retirement preparation through the workplace also appeared to have a partial mediating effect on the quality of life. Conclusion: The results suggest that work(satisfaction and social network) can affect the quality of life of the baby boomer generation. Furthermore, the retirement preparation of the baby boomer generation has a partial mediation effect on the overall quality of life.
A Study on the Effects of Seogye Deuk-Yoon Lee on Cheongju Sarim(Forest of Scholars)

This thesis is a part of a case study conducted in order to understand the trends of the 16th~17th century Cheongju region bigwigs, and has examined the life and academic stream of Seogye Deuk-Yoon LEE (1553-1630) focused on the previous study, "The Great Family Genealogy of Ikjaegong of the Gyeongju LEE Family". Seogye Deuk-Yoon LEE learned from his father Seomgye Jam LEE, and GiSEO, Ji-Hwa PARK from an early age, and based the basic orientation of his studies on one's moral and religious self one's moral and religious self'. This is how he became to emphasize "Sohak" (an introductory book of Confucianism for children), and he made an effort to realize the world of Neo-Confucianism by distributing the 'YEO's Hyangyak(Lue-shih-hsiang-yueeh : autonomic regulations of the district areas)' published on "Sohak". Furthermore, he made great effort in education of the Cheongju by regarding it as his own mission to teach young scholars, continuing on the footsteps of his father. Considering this, Seogye was not only a Confucian scholar that devoted himself to 'Sugi(moral training of himself', but was also a practical scholar that committed his sense of social responsibility in ' teaching' and 'governing the people, who greatly affected the academic world of the regional bigwigs of the Cheongju during the 17th century. Furthermore, Deuk-Yoon LEE was a member of the 'Nangseongpalhyeon(eight wise men of the Cheongju region) together with his disciple Deok-soo LEE, who performed a core role in establishing the 'Gihohakpa(Capital and Chungcheong province School)' and 'Hoseosarim(forest of scholars in Chungcheong province)' of the Cheongju region. As a main figure in establishing the Sinhang Confucian academy, he prepared the socio-economic basis for the 'Gihohakpa' to take place in the Cheongju, and by academically associating with Sagye Jang-Seng Kim without regarding their conflicting parties, he became the bridge in allowing his disciple, Deok-Soo LEE to associate with the academic stream and the 'Gihohakpa'. Through such roles, he allowed the relatively easy establishment of the 'Gihohakpa' and 'Hoseosarim', which continued to Jang-Seng KIM and Si-Yeol SONG, in order to prepare the basis and establish the strength of its basis in the Cheongju region from the late 17th century.
Economic Impacts of Selection and Dissemination of Korean Proven Bulls

This study provides the importance and value of selection and dissemination of Korean proven bulls by analyzing an economic impact. The results of economic impact analysis show that selection and dissemination of Korean proven bulls have a significant role in development of Korean bulls industry. The results of this study we found that the economic effect was 498.49billion won based on the condition of over grade 1. And the economic effect was 521.22 billion won based on the condition of over grade 2. It also insists that a continuous research and development of selection and dissemination of Korean proven bulls is needed for development of Korean bulls industry.
Relationship of Critical Thinking Disposition, Self-esteem and Job-seeking Stress of Nursing Students

The purpose of this study was to examine the job-seeking stress of nursing students according to their critical thinking disposition and self-esteem and the relationship of these variables. The subjects in this study were 332 nursing students. The students got
in critical thinking;
in self-esteem; and
in job-seeking stress. There was a positive correlation between critical thinking and self-esteem(r=.294, p<.001), and critical thinking(r=-.240, p<.001) had a significant positive correlation with self-esteem(r=-.209, p<.001). Critical thinking disposition and self-esteem were identified as the variables to affect job-seeking stress, and the two variables had a 35.2% explainability.
Relationship between Life Style, Menstrual Distress and Coping Method in Nursing Students

The purpose of this study was to identify the relationships between life style, menstrual distress and coping method in nursing students. The survey was conducted with 199 nursing students at a nursing college in K city. Data were collected from November 19 to December 5, 2014, and analyzed using SPSS 18.0. Of the 197 respondents, 78.2% had menstrual distress and distress score was 2.7 on average. There was a significant negative correlation between life style and impaired concentration, life style and behavioral change, rest and impaired concentration. Alcohol was negatively correlated with menstrual distress, impaired concentration, behavial change, and negative affect. Positive correlation was observed between menstrual distress and coping. These results suggest that the development of educational program is needed to promote life style and thereby provide effective interventions for menstrual distress in college students.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analysis factors influencing the perception of elder in nursing students. Method: The subjects were 340 nursing students, from Y university college. Data were analyzed with SPSS/Win 17.0 program. Results: Images, knowledge, and stereotypes plus perception about elderly showed significant positive correlation. According to the result of multiple regression, religion, interest in the elderly issue, knowledge were significant factor of senior perception explaining 55% of the variances. Conclusion: To improve positive perception of the elderly, it is necessary to efficient management about nursing curriculum and continuous study about that result.

This study examined the impact of osteoporosis on thyroid hormone in health check-up examinees. Relationship Between Obesity Indices and Serum Lipid Levels in Adults Using Data from Health Examination

This study examined the serum lipid levels according to the obesity indices, and obtained the relationship between obesity indices and serum lipid levels among adults who underwent a health checkup in a university hospital. The subjects for this study were 4,112 adults aged 18 to 77 years who underwent medical examinations at the health center of a university hospital in Daejeon city from Jan 2012 to Dec 2013. The serum lipid levels (TC, HDL-C, LDL-C, TG, AI) and obesity indices (height, weight, waist circumference, body fat rate, BMI, WHR WSR) of the study subjects were surveyed from self-recorded questionnaires and medical examination charts of the hospital. As a result, the serum lipid levels (TC, HDL-C, LDL-C, TG, AI) of the study subjects were increased significantly with higher level of obesity indices (WC, body fat rate, BMI, WHR WSR) in both sexes. The TC, LDL-C, TG, and AI showed that positive correlated with the WC, body fat rate, BMI, and WSR in both sexes, but HDL-C was negatively correlated with the WC, body fat rate, BMI, and WSR in both sexes. The above results suggest that the obesity indices and the serum lipid levels are closely related, i.e., the serum lipid levels increase with increasing obesity indices.
Effects of task-oriented activities on hand functions in patients with hand injuries

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of task-oriented activities on hand functions in patients with hand injuries. From December 2011 to October 2012, sixteen patients with hand injuries at C Hospital in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, Korea were randomly divided into two groups. One group was subjected to task-oriented activity and the other to general exercise. Two groups performed each activity once a day, three times a week, for four weeks. The group with the task-oriented activities was provided with the tasks according to subject-preference based on the result of Canadian Occupational Performance Measure (COPM). To verify the effect of intervention, the following hand function measures were used: grip strength, pinch strength, and the range of opposition and abduction, Purdue pegboard test and Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand (DASH). Both groups showed significant increase in all of the hand function measures after 4-week activities(p<.05). The task-oriented activity group was significantly different from the control group in powers for tip pinch, lateral pinch and three-jaw chuck pinch, Purdue pegboard test and DASH(p<.05) except in grip strength and the range of opposition and abduction suggesting better improvement in hand functions. This study shows that task-oriented activities improve the hand functions more effectively in patients with hand injuries.
Influences on the Aging Anxiety of University Students

This study examined the factors influencing aging anxiety in university students. The participants were 239 nursing students from one university in Seoul. Data were collected from September to December in 2014 and analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression. The average score for aging-anxiety was 2.94, for knowledge about the elderly 18.92, for attitude toward the elderly 65.5, for participants' supporting awareness of old parents 4.05, and for self-esteem 3.07. There were negative correlations between aging anxiety, attitude toward the elderly, supporting awareness of old parents, and self-esteem. Aging-anxiety was significantly influenced by age, gender, living with grandparents, attitude toward the elderly, supporting awareness of old parents, and self-esteem. In view of the results of this study, one of the strategic ways to help college students reduce aging anxiety is to provide an opportunity to participate in activities that they can experience positive relationship with elderly.
Study on the Comparison between the Need of Medical Checkup and Self-cognition of Oral Health

This study applied comparative analysis on the need of medical checkup and subjective oral health of adults above 19 years old based on based on the 5th primitive data of Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination. From the analysis of the need of medical checkup for left and right molar teeth on upper and lower jaw, it is reported that 90% of the cases that cognize themselves having poor oral health on the first and second moral tooth turned out no need of treatment and the same result has shown in the lower jaw. Also, the number of people who cognize their oral health as good on the first and the second moral tooth was only 10% of all and those who cognize their oral health neither good nor bad shows 96% of results in no need of treatment.

This study analyzes influences of parental education level on oral health with items of parental education level in their childhood and DMFTP from oral health checkup using data from the Fifth Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey restricted to adults above 19 years old. As parental education level is higher, DMFTP decreases whereas people themselves think they have poor oral health if their parents have lower educational health. Also, those who have parents with higher education level tend not to have oral heath checkup in purpose of protection.
Effect of favorite music therapy on anxiety and vital sign in patients undergoing gynecologic surgery using the general anesthesia

This study examined the effects of favorite music therapy on the anxiety and vital signs at each point in gynecologic surgery using the general anesthesia. The research design was a non-equivalent control group non-synchronized design. The data were collected from May 1 to July 30, 2013 and the participants were 44 patients (experimental group, 21, control group, 23) received music therapy while waiting for anesthetic induction and PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit). Repeated measures ANOVA was performed to analyze the data by SPSS 18.0. Music therapy reduced the anxiety level at inducing the anesthetic time, and awakening time (p=.003; p=.011). The systolic blood pressure maintained stability at discharge from the PACU (p=.023), and pulse rate was stable at the awakening time (p=.016). This findings support the use of music as a nursing intervention to reduce anxiety and maintain the vital signs for gynecologic surgery patients under general anesthesia.
Optimization of the cryopreserved condition for utilization of GPCR frozen cells

The major target for drug discovery, G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) is involved in many physiological activities and related to various diseases and disorders. Among experimental techniques relating to the GPCR drug discovery process, various cell-based screening methods are influenced by cell conditions used in the overall process. Recently, the utilization of frozen cells is suggested in terms of reducing data variation and cost-effectiveness. The aim of this study is to evaluate various conditions in cell freezing such as temperature conditions and storage terms. The stable cell lines for calcium sensing receptor and urotensin receptor were established followed by storing cultured cells at
up to 4 weeks. To compare with cell stored at liquid nitrogen, agonist and antagonist responses were recorded based on the luminescence detection by the calcium induced photoprotein activation. Cell signals were reduced as the storage period was increased without the changes in
). In case of cells stored in liquid nitrogen, cell responses were decreased comparing to those in live cells, however changes by storage periods and significant variations of
values were not detected. The decrease of cell signals in various frozen cells may be due to the increase of cell damages. From these results, the best way for a long-term cryopreservation is the use of liquid nitrogen condition, and for the purpose of short-term storage within a month,
storage condition can be possible to adopt. As a conclusion, the active implementation of frozen cells may contribute to decrease variations of experimental data during the initial cell-based screening process.

The smartphone addiction research to identify the pattern according to your smartphone addiction. Recovery of 689 to 1429 parts by distributing the total recovery is 48.22%, respectively. Were utilized to study 650 data. Smartphone addiction group was divided into low, group care, group into three groups according to the degree of severity smartphone addiction. The response that smartphone addiction severity group 135 people 86.5%, lower addiction group 59 people% smartphone smartphones note 165 people group 50.2%, 35.5 'no' do you think about the own smartphone addiction (p <0.001). Showed that exceeds 50% of the smartphone severe poisoning group and attention should use having a chat group with respect to the smart phone. Also showed that beyond a midnight bed time group the more severe the smartphone addiction. Usual findings for bedtime showed a tendency to sleep late pass midnight smartphone addiction show higher water shortage phenomenon. Could be used as the basis for the study which may be a healthy life to predict the degree of occurrence of a pattern according to the type of smart phone poisoning by identifying the factors of the individual according to the degree of poisoning smartphone pattern.
A Study on Actual Condition of Diving Safety before Scuba Diving and during Scuba Diving According to Scuba Diver's Characteristics

This study aimed to suggest education direction for diving safety through investigating actual condition to diving safety before and during scuba diving. The study subjects were 227 scuba divers. Data were collected from September 21, 2012 to August 16, 2013. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0. The results were as follows. Many higher level divers didn't obey regulations: 'alcohol drinking', 'warming-up exercise', 'to dive even when he/she suffers from respiratory disease' before scuba diving. Many lower level divers didn't obey regulations: 'to stop diving under abnormal physical condition', 'to do safety stop during ascending time', 'to check during ascending time', 'to know ascending and descending speed per minute', 'to use an alpha flag or buoy' during scuba diving. In conclusion, it is necessary to implement a discriminative safety education and to check actual condition to diving safety periodically in consideration of duration and level of diving.
Alcohol Status and Related Factors of Drinking Problems among Residents at Permanent Rental Apartments

The purpose of this study was to identify alcohol status and related factors of drinking problems among Residents at Permanent Rental Apartments in Incheon. Data was collected from 20 August 2012 to 28 September 2012, and the 663 subjects were analyzed using SPSS 18.0. The data was analyzed by using descriptive statistics, chi-square test and logistic regression. As a result of survey, alcohol consumption was low, but prevalence of alcohol was high. From the logistic regression analysis, age(less than 40), unmarried, drinking reason for habituation, insomnia, anxiety, unemployed and interpersonal relationships were associated with in drinking problems of the residents of permanent rental apartments. Considering of these variables, the future research is necessary to provide an individual approach based on problem drinking level as well as to provide a proactive approach and policy development for of permanent rental apartment residents.
Feeding Difficulty and its influencing factors of Elders with Dementia in Long-term Care Facilities

The purpose of this study was to investigate feeding difficulty and its influencing factors of elders with dementia in long-term care facilities. Participants were 158 elders with dementia residing in three nursing facilities. Data were collected from Aug. 18 to Sep. 12 in 2014. The feeding difficulty in dementia scale, Korean version-Activities of Daily Living and Mini-Mental State Exam-Korean version were used as instruments. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation and stepwise multiple regression by SPSS 17.0. Mean feeding difficulty score was
(range of 0-2). The highest feeding difficulty item was "patient require close supervision while feeding". The variables influencing the feeding difficulty was ADL(

The results suggest the need of developing feeding difficulty coping strategy according to dietary behavior phase, In addition, the development and testing the educational program for caregivers to help feeding difficulty of the elders with dementia in long-term facility are recommended.
Development and Validation of an Instrument to Assess Hospital Workers' Perception for Protection of Personal Health Information

The purpose of this study was to develop and examine a validity and reliability of an instrument to assess hospital workers' perception for protection of personal health information. The process included construction of a conceptual framework, generation of initial items, verification of content validity, preliminary study, and extraction of final items. Content validity was verified by 3 experts from nursing and health information management areas, and the construct validity was evaluated by item analysis, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. The reliability was examined by Cronbach's alpha. The participants were 279 hospital workers including nurses, administrative officers, and other medical health professionals. Using a confirmatory factor analysis, a four-factor structure was validated with construct validity. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient of a total of 13 items categorized into 4 factors was .83. Finally, the instrument is a valid and reliable to assess hospital workers' perception for protection of personal health information.
A Comparative study on Perceived Importance and Frequency of Core Nursing Skills between General and Special wards

This study was performed to compare the perceived importance and performance frequency of the core nursing skills between general and special department. Subjects were 182 nurses who work on the hospital. Data was collected using items made by Korean accreditation board of nursing education and analyzed by frequency, mean and t-test. There were differences of importance and frequencies about nursing core skill between general and special wards. Core nursing skills of general wards were higher importance on intradermal injection(p=.011), transfusion(p=.028), simple catheterization(p=.047), cleansing enema(p=<.001), preoperative and postoperative care(p=.035), management administration(p=.027) and oxygenation with cannular(p=.002) than special wards. Actual performance frequency core nursing skills of general wards were higher similar on transfusion(p=.002), intermittent tube feeding(p=.032), simple catheterization(p=<.001), cleansing enema(p=<.001), preoperative care(p=.001), postoperative care(p=<.001), management administration(p=.001), protection equipment for quarantine room and waste disposal(p=.021), oxygenation with cannular(p=<.001) than special wards. It is needed to develop efficient and sequential program to learning the nursing core skills for nursing students.
A study on Emotional labor, Positive resources and Job burnout in clinical Nurses

This study was to investigate the relationships of emotional labor, positive resources and job burnout. The participants were 217clinical nurses are working on a hospital in Seoul. The mean score of emotional labor, positive resources, and job burnout were 3.5, 3.4, 2.8 respectively. Job burnout showed positive correlation with emotional labor(r=.342, p<.001) and showed negative correlation with positive resources(r=-.606, p<.001). The finding of this study indicate a need to develop program to increase positive resources and control the emotional labor in order to prevent job burnout.
The Effects of Clinical Nurses' Resilience and Social Problem-Solving Ability on Burnout

This study was conducted as a descriptive study with the aim of identifying the effects of clinical nurses' resilience and social problem solving abilities on burnout. Data collection for the study was carried out between May
, 2013 by surveying 192 clinical nurses working in university medical centers and general hospitals located in D city. Measures were subjects' resiliency, social problem solving abilities, and burnout. For the analysis of the data, the statistical methods of frequency, mean and standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis were employed. When the category of burnout was analyzed by general features, placement in a desired department and size of hospital, there were significant differences. Burnout correlated negatively with resilience and social problem solving abilities. Factors affecting clinical nurses' burnout were identified in the order of resilience, size of hospital, social problem solving abilities, and placement in a desired department and the explanatory power was 43.1%. The findings of the study indicate that in order to decrease clinical nurses' burnout, their resilience and social problem solving abilities have to be enhanced.
The study for the Epidemiologic Characteristics of Cancer Patients in Jeju Special Self-governing Province

Jeju province is the highest area about obesity(1st), alcohol consumption(2nd) and male smoking(2nd) among sixteen Korean provinces by the report of Statistics Korea: 2013 community health survey. Therefore, it is assumed that the incidence rate of colon, liver, lung and breast cancer can be high. The purpose of this study is to test these cancer's incidence and mortality trends and compare comparability with national average. The Joinpoint regression model and permutation tests for identifying changes and parallelism in trend were used to test registered data at Jeju Regional Cancer Registry from 1999 to 2012. In male colorectal cancer, Average Age Percent Change(AAPC) of Age-Standardized incidence Rate(ASR) was 8.4% per year(p-value<.000) and the hypothesis of parallelism with Korean male average was rejected because of steep increasing of Jeju male patients' AAPC(p-value=.047). In male liver cancer, AAPC of ASR was -2.98 % per year(p-value<.000) and parallelism with Korean male average was rejected because of sluggish decreasing of Jeju(p-value=.026). In male lung cancer, the ASR parallelism with Korean male average was rejected(p-value=.009) because Jeju patients APC(4.37% per year) was increased during 2006~2012. This study demonstrates that AAPC and Trends of male colon, male lung and male liver were difference from national average. Further studies are needed to understand its causes.
Content Analysis of Hwa-byung Awareness in Middle-Aged Women

The purpose of this study was to make an extensive analysis of middle-aged women's awareness of Hwa-byung in an effort to shed light on their understanding of it. Method: A descriptive study was performed to make content analysis of middle-aged women's awareness of Hwa-byung. Results: The interview data with the selected middle-aged women who were in their 40s and 50s were classified to determine their knowledge on the concept, cause and symptoms of Hwa-byung and their coping methods. As a result, there were 261 significant statements and 33 categories. Conclusion: This study is expected to provide useful information on middle-aged women's awareness of Hwa-byung, on the development of easily accessible educational programs geared toward helping them to overcome it, and on how to prevent it and offer effective intervention.
Relationship Between Occupational Stress and Turnover Intention Among Call Center Counselors

In this study, customer service representatives in call centers, the relevance of occupational stress, and turnover intention as well as the investigation of the relevance to that of demographic characteristics, health behaviors, and job-related characteristics is carried out. In particular, the relevance of occupational stress and turnover intention was attempted to be identified. From the response to the surveys of nine hospitals and five companies, there was a total of 158 people during the investigation. The collection of data was conducted by self-administered questionnaire in the period of February 1, 2013 to June 30, 2013. As the result of study, factors related to turnover intention involved age, sleep, job demands and job autonomy as significant variables. In particular, in the relevance of occupational stress and turnover intention, it was revealed that turnover intention decreases as job autonomy increases while turnover intention increases as job demands become higher. The ratio of danger of occupational stress on turnover intention eminently increased in the group of high job demands, low job autonomy, low support of supervisor and co-worker. Therefore, it is considered that efforts for improvement of occupational stress factors are required to decrease turnover intention.
The influence of Cognitive Coping on Sick Role Behavioral Compliance and Depression, Satisfaction with Life in Hemodialysis Patients

The purpose of the study was to examine the relationships between cognitive coping, sick role behavioral compliance, depression, and life satisfaction of hemodialysis patients based on the stress-coping model. The research is cross-sectional survey, 150 participants were recruited from 4 local clinics in Chungcheongbuk-do. As a results, the cognitive coping scores were significantly related to sick role behavioral compliance, depression, and life satisfaction. The coping strategies explained 20.5%, 10.5%, and 24.6% of the variances in sick role behavioral compliance, depression, and life satisfaction, respectively. The most powerful coping strategy was positive refocusing in sick role behavioral compliance, depression, and life satisfaction. The results of the study indicate that cognitive coping plays an essential role for psychological adaptation of hemodialysis patients. Therefore, the development and application of intervention program to improve adaption of hemodialysis patients are required.
Experimental Performance Evaluation on V-shaped Butt Welding Using GMA Welding Double Wire Reel and Remote Control Torch Welding Technique

This study discusses a remote control torch system equipped with a GMAW double wire reel. The welding machine is 30m away from the wire feeder at the industrial site and the feeder is three to five meters away from the torch. Accordingly, the welders cannot control the current and voltage that meets the welding condition during work when they are working at a place that prevents them from seeing the control panel, such as inside a vehicle or tank or at a far work site. They also have no choice but to stop working to change the wire reel when it is burned out completely. Such work suspension resulting from frequent moves to adjust the current and voltage as well as to replace the wire and subsequent cooling causes welding defects. This study produced a remote control torch equipped with a double wire reel by simplifying and streamlining the existing GMAW functions to reduce the troubling issue. The remote control torch equipped with a double wire reel and the existing
/MAG welding torch were applied as a V-groove butt in the vertical position using 6mm rolled steel for a SM50A welding structure. After welding, the condition of welded surface beads underwent a visual inspection and radiographic inspection to analyze the welding quality inside the welded part. This study also evaluated the reduction of welding defects, cost saving, the replacing performance against the existing commercial welders, and the effects on possible compatibility.

In this paper, chaotic circuit of the voltage controlled Lorentz system for engineering applications has been designed and implemented in an electronic circuit. The proposed circuit consists of MOS variable resistor, multipliers, capacitors, fixed resistors and operational amplifiers. The circuit was analysed by PSPICE program. PSPICE simulation results show that chaotic dynamics of the circuit can be controlled by the MOS variable resistor through time series analysis, frequency analysis and phase diagrams. Also, we implemented the proposed circuit in an electronic hardware system with discrete elements. Measured results of the circuit showed controllability of the circuit using the MOS resistor.

In order to maintain customer voltage within allowable limit(
), tap operation of SVR(step voltage regulator) installed in primary feeder could be carried out according to the scheduled delay time(30 sec) of SVR. However, the compensation of BESS(battery energy storage system) is being required because the customer voltages during the delay time of SVR have a difficultly to maintain within allowable limit when PV system is interconnected with primary feeder. Therefore, this paper presents modeling of SVR to regulate voltage with the LDC(line drop compensation) method and modeling of BESS to control active and reactive power bi-directionally. And also, this paper proposes the coordination control modeling between BESS and SVR in order to overcome voltage problems in distribution system. From the simulation results based on the modeling with the PSCAD/EMTDC, it is confirmed that proposed modeling is practical tool for voltage regulation analysis in distribution system.

As the wire bonding process has been converted into BUMP process due to the high density integration of semiconductor chip, the telecommunication line connecting to semiconductor chip and external devices have become finer. As a result, a more precise work is necessary. However, it is difficult to control quantity given the nature of high viscosity of PSPI and the yield rate continues to decline due to the inflow of bubble. Therefore, this paper developed the D&P(degassing and pumping) system to remove and supply gas that is generated from coating the high viscosity photosensitive polyimide(PSPI) in the semiconductor BUMP process.

Lighting improvements are needed for adequate operation of security installations according to the turn of scientific policing instead of human policing. The basic principles of security lighting is to provide sufficient lighting over a specific area so that anyone moving in or around can be seen easily. Also, in security lighting, illuminance and uniformity are to be considered for clearing of CCTV screen through the lighting improvement. To achieve such goals, each pole is to be considered of the height and the space of luminaries as well as the wattage and the type of lamps. In this paper, the lighting designs show the adequate operations of fence security systems through the actual measurement of illuminance by mock-up and the illuminance analyses for obtaining proper illuminance and uniformity value to keep brightness of CCTV screen able to confirm objects considering characteristics of CCTV monitor by simulations.

Nowadays, the technique to deal with the waste gas of perfluorinated compounds using plasma has been developed. As the effective decomposition techniques at many research centers and companies were investigated at home and abroad, the products have been improved with various methods. This study aims to guess the distributions of pressure and temperature through the thermal and fluid analyses inside the decomposition equipment model of waste gas. As the analysis result, the maximum pressure and the minimum pressure are 0.975Pa and -1.037Pa individually on the whole. It is shown that the pressure of air decreases gradually as the air flows from inlet to plane 1 and the pressure increases as the air flows from plane 1 to outlet. And the maximum temperature and the mimum temperature are
individually on the whole. It is shown that the temperature of air increases gradually as the air flows from inlet to plane 4 and the temperature decreases as the air flows until outlet. It is thought that the data necessary to develop the real system can be applied by using the thermal and fluid analyses.
m-shaper: A Sketch Drawing System for Musical Shape Generation

This paper proposes a sketch drawing system called m-shaper for musical shape generation. Through simple sketch drawing, users can generate musical shape configuration which can be played by a computer. One key ingredient of the process is a unique concept for the interactive musical shape generation that combines shape and sound based on the designers' manual inputs. m-shaper captures the numerical values of drawing characteristics and determines how the musical notes and shapes can be generated. Using a tablet, four sketch movements are captured such as pressure, tilt, rotation and speed. Each point of a shape corresponds to a certain musical note that represents a type of instrument, duration, pitch, and octave. The current m-shaper has been developed as a computational tool for supporting the schematic design process. Designers in m-shaper draw geometric sketches with a musical inspiration and explore possible conceptual forms. They also can control the parameters for results and transform their sketch drawing.

Recently, an application business model was proposed to implement an M-coupon system using the NFC-based mobile devices. In this paper, the security requirements were surveyed for a secure M-coupon system and to analyze the threats on the existing NFC-based M-coupon protocols. After considering the implementation efficiency and security, this paper presents a novel M-coupon protocol based on the Diffie-Hellman key agreement scheme. This protocol can be an alternative to solve the security problems related to the PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) and secret key distribution. Furthermore, this M-coupon protocol is designed to provide user authentication and counteract the relay attack.

In surface mount technology, the use of technology implemented using a Chip Mounter relay that is inserted into the junction box, etc. car is increasing. On the other hand, there is a need for technology to reduce the weight of the heavy component of the relay attached to different Stick Tube generally chips. Therefore, rather than existing technology, this study improved the algorithm of the system to provide a mechanical structure using Air to supply greater stability using this the component feeder utilizing the Stick Tube proposed technology. When the equipment installed in the Air Stick Feeder was used, the effectiveness, such as increased production and reduced disposal expense, was improved.

An information System Audit by the recognition of a problem and suggestions for solutions for overall matters about constructing and managing information systems is needed in order to contribute to the improvement of an information system's quality and improving the performance of projects. In reality, however, the general cognition is that audit is biased by subjective opinions. For this, an auditor needs to measure the level of recognition of the usability and convenience of the technologies of automating audit by applying TAM in the information system audit, and to analyze the relationship with recognition and availability of the interested parties for the technology (tool) of the audit. By the hypothesis verification result, an auditor needs to present objective corroborative facts that back up the level of recognition and usability for the information technology in the field of audit. This study verified that the phenomenon of technology application can be explained and predicted by applying TAM in the field of audit. Through an empirical study of the recognition level of audit and contractor, the developer suggests that the audit plan stage is similar to the audit corrective action stage, but the audit action stage is different from the audit review stage. This research can verify the audit technology preferred for the availability and intention of use and usability.
The Robust Skin Color Correction Method in Distorted Saturation by the Lighting

A method for detecting a skin region on the image is generally used to detect the color information. However, If saturation lowered, skin detection is difficult because hue information of the pixels is lost. So in this paper, we propose a method of correcting color of lower saturation of skin region images by the lighting. Color correction process of this method is saturation image acquisition and low-saturation region classification, segmentation, and the saturation of the split in the low saturation region extraction and color values, the color correction sequence. This method extracts the low saturation regions in the image and extract the color and saturation in the region and the surrounding region to produce a color similar to the original color. Therefore, the method of extracting the low saturation region should be correctly preceding. Because more accurate segmentation in the process of obtaining a low saturation regions, we use a multi-threshold method proposed Otsu in Hue values of the HSV color space, and create a binary image. Our experimental results for 170 portrait images show a possibility that the proposed method could be used efficiently preprocessing of skin color detection method, because the detection result of proposed method is 5.8% higher than not used it.

Lately, information and communications environmentis in accordance with the smartphone release is changing the paradigm of working environments setting a high value on mobility and efficiency as well as the ecosystem of information and communication technologies. In this paper, we proposed smart work-based IT system modeling suitable for SMEs in order to transform the paradigm of working environments, strengthen the competitiveness of SMEs, and to establish a foundation on which SMEs could leap to the global economy, by fostering the acceleration of information service implementation and smart work foundation. We conducted a survey of the change in awareness and creation of smart work environment targeting companies with less than thirty workers and proved it. will also contribute to smart work diffusion in SMEs by drawing a positive result of more than 75%.
Assessment technology for spatial interaction of Artificial Monitoring System through 3-dimensional Simulation

CCTV-applied monitoring is an effective measure to suppress potential crimes and record objective relationship; however, there is no methodology that can quantitatively compare and assess the afore-mentioned effects. Thus, this study intended to construct the methodology and analysis application that can measure the changes in the space-corresponding performance of CCTVs depending on installation measures by using 3-dimenstional virtual simulation technology. For analysis, the raster-based Isovist theory was 3-dimensionally expanded and the amount of incident sight line to each point was accumulated. At the same time, the amount of overlapped monitoring in the CCTV cameras that were connected to each measurement node was accumulated for cross-analysis. By applying the examples and analyzing the results, it was possible to construct an analysis application in use of collision detection model and quantify the changes of monitoring performance depending on positioning alternative of the cameras. Moreover, it enabled intuitive review and supplementation by reproducing visible shadow areas in a graph.

At the bends of a river, the deflected flow of high energy erodes the embankment and transports sediment, ultimately changing the river's course. Such phenomena lead to instability of the embankment and may cause serious problems for nearby roads, land, or riverside structures. This study intends to analyze the characteristics of hydraulic flow at S-shaped bends after the installation of Riprap Weirs designed to prevent changes in a river's course and embankment erosion. An experimental channel was constructed by a two-dimensional CCHE2D model, and analyzed the characteristics of hydraulic flow with and without the Riprap Weirs. Also, the characteristics of hydraulic flow at the inner and outer sides of river bends and at points near reservoirs were analyzed, depending on the intervals between the Riprap Weirs.

This study is to analyze various methods of block design elements applied in the recent apartment housing design competitions for Sejong city. It is expected to find the new design trend and good design characteristics of apartment building forms to use as the basic data of apartment housing design, because it is a case study on the ambitious design competition of the city that many major architectural firms in Korea entered and eager to propose new ideas. The results of this study are following : (1) The forms of slab block are classified into 8 types(the best applying one is ㄱ type). The forms of point block are classified into 9 types(the best applying ones are ㅁ, L and - type). (2) For the shapes of core, the forms of opposite core are classified into 6 types, the forms of parallel core are 3 types. (3) The forms of roof are classified into 4 types. The flat type is applied to 95 percent of the total cases. (4) The shapes of block mass are classified into 5 types(the best applying ones are general and void type), facade forms are 3 types(the best applying one is horizontal division type).

A Guideline for Development of Track-Bridge Structural System with Sliding Layer to Reduce the Track-Bridge Interaction

The bridges take a significant part of entire route in Korea railway, because 70% of Korean territory is covered with mountains. For this reason, span enlargement of railway bridges is more advantageous to increase economic efficiency on the bridge design. However there are many limitations such as additional axial force of the rail, excessive displacement due to track-bridge interaction. In this study, track-bridge interaction analysis was conducted considering the sliding layer which was installed between the track and girder. From the numerical analysis results, the behavior of track-bridge interaction was investigated according to the installation method of sliding layer. Finally, a guideline for development of track-bridge structure system to reduce the track-bridge interaction was proposed.
Effect of Embedment Depth of Footing on Behavior of Compensated Foundation

In order to find out the effect of embedment ratio on behavior compensated foundation, numerical analyses were performed. Bearing capacity ratios obtained from numerical analyses were greater than those obtained from theoretical equations and it could be seen that the bearing capacity ratio was proportional to the embedment ratio with only exception of the case of square footing in which bearing capacity ratio was increased rapidly with the embedment ratio. For the case of strip footing on sand, the bearing capacity ratios obtained from the numerical analyses and Meyerhof equation were similar with each other and magnitudes of those were as much as square of the embedment ratio but the bearing capacity ratios were little affected by the embedment ratios for the case of strip footing on clay. It can be said that the bearing capacity ratios obtained from the square footing are greater than those obtained from the strip footing. According to the numerical analysis, values of settlement ratios which correspond to the embedment ratio of one were about 0.4 and settlement ratios were decreased with increase of the embedment ratios. Settlement ratios of the loose sand were smaller than those of the dense sand and the clay.
A Study on the Changes in Citizens' Perceptions of Urban Landscape of Gimhae

The purpose of this study is to investigate the changes in citizens' perceiving urban landscape. To this end, the citizens' perceptions of urban landscape of Gimhae were surveyed two times in 2003 and 2011. To examine the statistical significance, the frequency analysis, the chi-square test were applied. There were small changes of opinion between two periods caused by the change of city form, an increase in interest in the living environment, environmental protection and so on. The interest of the citizens of the landscape were high. Citizens showed a negative feedback with respect to economic sacrifice. So, regulation causing citizens' economic loss should be avoided and It is effective to establish policies to support and induction. The results of this study are intended to be used as a reference to the planning urban landscape.

The purpose of this study is to improve Biotope Area Ratio(BAR) systems used in the various fields. Recently, there has been increasing demand in urban agriculture as well as more residents cultivating farms on a small scale. However, there are few measures in terms of architecture and urban planning to respond to this trend. In this sense, this research is effective as it can respond to these demands by using BAR systems. Yet, the environmental indexes are not enough since BAR systems only take account of vegetation. Therefore, this study proposes an alternative way that includes the capacity factor of the plant growth by expanding the existing BAR systems. Thus, the study analyzes the complementary possibility of BAR systems, including elements of daylight, planting interval, area and soil depth with existing BAR elements.
Experimental Study on Mechanism Analysis of Headcut Erosion in the Noncohesive Sediment Bed

The headcut erosion at the confluence section of a mainstream and tributary can migrate up the tributary streams, and rapid degradation can threaten the stability of hydraulic structures installed in the channel. Therefore, quantitative analysis for the development and mechanism of headcut erosion is needed to prevent damage due to the headcut. In this study, hydraulic experiments for headcut erosion in the channel with noncohesive materials were performed and the knickpoint movement and final bed slope change were analyzed based on the different hydraulic conditions. As a result, the knickpoint movement was 1.5 times faster when the difference in velocity between the upstream and downstream sections was 2.5 times greater and the central part of the cross-section was eroded and collapsed earlier than the left and right sides. The movement length of headcut erosion was longer and the final bed slope was milder as the velocity difference between the upstream and downstream sections was increased. This study showed that a correlation between the knickpoint movement and bed slope change by headcut erosion and the water level difference of upstream and downstream sections was not constant compared to the velocity difference.
Study of the Enhancement of Pedestrian Safety based on Service Design

The aim of this study was to suggest an enhancement of pedestrian safety through a service design process regarding urban design in new-town area. For this study, the concept, process and touchpoint, and survey design area, of the service design are reviewed as a theoretical study. According to this study, traffic signals, pedestrian environment, pedestrian overpass, and access traffic road were surveyed as touchpoints and a problem search, concept design, design building, institutional implement were analyzed as a service design process. As a result of these studies, the planning method for pedestrian safety based on service design process in terms of the external space design in a new-town area are suggested.
A Numerical Analysis for Stress Concentration of Openings in Offshore Tubular Steel Tower under Design Loading Condition

This study investigates the stress concentration factor of a door opening of an offshore tubular steel tower. The tubular steel tower is subjected to eight (8) different load combinations which are deemed to be normal and abnormal operating cases for the ultimate limit state and serviceability limit state. Analytical method using parametric equations and numerical method of finite element are used to analyze the stress components as well as any translations or rotations where the flow of stress is interfered with. A finite element program, ABAQUS, is used for the numerical method analysis. Trends of the stress concentration in the localized area near the opening are studied, and points of interest are defined for comparison among three different cases of tubular steel tower: without door and without reinforcement; without door opening and with reinforcement; and with door opening and with reinforcement. Findings are tabulated and shown in illustrative charts, and conclusions are made.
Traffic Safety Technology Proposal for Chungcheong Region

This study analyzed traffic accident characteristics in Chungcheong Region through the factor analysis, cluster analysis and questionnaire survey using traffic accident analysis data for Chungcheong Region in order to improve Korea's traffic safety level. Based on the analysis results, this study suggests traffic safety technologies suitable for the situation of Chungcheong Region. According to the results of the questionnaire survey carried out for transporters in Chungcheong Region, 'the passage of pedestrians and aged people' and 'a problem of lacking visibility' were the biggest threatening factors of major traffic accidents in Chungcheong Region. The facilities required the most were 'lighting equipment in driving at night', and the expected effect by the equipment installation was high. As a result of the factor analysis and cluster analysis using the traffic accident analysis data, traffic accident risk by city type in Chungcheong Region was higher in rural areas, compared to urban areas. Especially, this study confirmed the risks of pedestrian and agricultural machine traffic accidents were high. Therefore, this study suggests three technologies to improve traffic safety level in Chungcheong Region, based on the analysis results.

In order to demonstrate the flow properties of the river bed and the design of hydraulic structures, the estimation of friction velocity is essentially required. A Study on the Crack Prevention of the Floor Surface Finishing Mortar adding Chemical Admixtures in Apartment Houses

In this study, strengthening methods of floor surface finishing mortar are investigated to prevent the cracks using crack inhibitor agents, water reducer agent and resin. As a results, The number of crack and compressive strength of the specimen containing water reducer agent or resin had more effective than other specimens containing inhibitor agents at 7 days. And the highest compressive strength specimen showed the relatively no crack, but the lowest compressive strength specimen showed a lot of crack. Therefore the relationship between the crack growth and the compressive strength had proportional connection. A base on the mock-up test, long-term monitoring of the on-site applied to mixing design type3 showed the few cracks.

This study examined experimentally the characteristics of the flow pattern and particle suspension in an agitated vessel with a bottom baffle. Metal oxide semiconductors have been applied in several areas, such as solar cells, sensor, optical elements and displays, due to the high surface area, unique electrical and optical characteristics. Zinc oxide among the metal oxide has excellent physicochemical properties. Zinc oxide is a n-type semiconductor with a wide direct transition band gap of 3.37 eV at room temperature and large exciton binding energy of 60 meV. Cation-doped zinc oxide studies were conducted to complement the electrical and optical characteristics. In this paper, Al-doped ZnO was synthesized by hydrothermal synthesis using microwaves. ZnO was synthesized by adjusting the precursor ratio and using different dopants. The optimal ZnO synthesis conditions for crystal shape and optical properties were determined. The optical properties of aluminum doped zinc oxide were then examined by SEM, XRD, PL, UV-vis absorbance spectrum, and EDS.

The cleaning characteristics of pulse air jet type cleaning system which is widely applied in the industries were identified by utilizing the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and the cleaning performance in modified shape of dedusting unit was compared in this study. The review on each shape of cleaning part showed that the case of installing the nozzle on the blow tube (Case-3) and the case of installing the double intaking tube to the venturi (Case-4 and Case-5) were more excellent than the structure (Case-1). Also, the optimal venturi shape was designed and examined its applicability to the site in a pilot scale plant. A combined system of a blow tube and a venturi proposed by this study turned out to be very effective for concentrating an cleaning air compared to existing systems, such as using only blow tube and combines the blow tube and venturi. In addition, as a result of installing and testing a venturi proposed by this study, the cleaning frequency and cleaning time were much improved compared to a case of using a commercial venturi that is under use at the industrial sites.
