3D-structured (embossed) aluminum sheets have been used in the heat insulation purpose for automative exhaust parts because of increasing their surface areas and stiffness reinforcement imposed in making the embossing pattern. However, there are many restrictions in press forming of the embossed sheet compared with the flat sheet (non-embossed one) because of its difference in the mechanical properties and the geometrical 3-dimensional shape. In this paper we investigated the deformation characteristic of embossed aluminum sheet in the incremental sheet forming process which has frequently used in the design verification and the trial manufacturing of sheet products. The single point incremental forming (SPIF) experiments for the rectangular cone forming using the CNC machine with a chemical wood-machined die and a circular tool shape showed that the formability of the embossed sheet are better than that of the flat sheet in view of the maximum angle of cone forming. This comes from the fact that the embossed sheet between the tool and the elastic die wall is plastically compressed and the flatted area contributes to increase the plastic deformation. Also the tool path along the outward movement from the center showed a better formability than that of the inward movement from the edge. However the surface quality for the tool path along the outward movement evaluated from the surface deflection is inferior than that of the tool path along the inward movement.

As modern houses are constructed with high-density and high-insulation, there is benefit to reduce energy consumption, but there are many side effects raised from polluted air. To solve the problem, a ventilation system is used to improve a indoor air quality. In this research, we experimentally estimate ventilation performance of HRV(heat recovery ventilator) with heat-pipe according to working fluid filling quantity and ventilation. Heat-pipe used in this study was designated separately to be applied to a ventilation system. The working fluid was R22, which was filled from 40 to 55 (%vol.) by 5(%vol.). Ventilation based on the front velocity was measured from 0.3 m/s to 1.5 m/s by 0.3 m/s intervals. Refrigerant filling quantity with the highest efficiency was found to depend on the ventilation. From this study the optimal refrigerant filling quantity in accordance with the ventilation of the detachable heat pipes was found experimentally.
A Study on the Radiation Heat Transfer Effect near a Refrigerator Gasket

The present study has been accomplished to elucidate the effect of radiation heat transfer in the heat transfer analysis of refrigerator gasket, which has near 30% of refrigerator heat loss. The numerical heat transfer analysis has been conducted with the simplified modeling of refrigerator gasket. From the present CFD analysis, heat loss at the gasket is

The radiation protection layers were installed in the gasket from 0 to 7 and the case with 7 layers has 33% reduction effect of heat loss compared with the case without any radiation protection layer. Additionally, it is better effect of radiation heat loss reduction that the radiation protection layers would be placed to the outer or inner side of gasket rather than placing to the center of gasket.
Impact toughness improvement of an undercarriage track shoe using the Taguchi orthogonal array experiment

This study examined the toughness improvement of a track shoe used as the undercarriage of excavator and bulldozer parts. The excavator is operated under poor conditions, such as the build-up field and quarry. Therefore, the track shoe requires high strength and impact toughness to endure immense shock while at work. The track shoe was made of heat treated boron steel. The sufficient possibility of hardenability with the theoretical Jominy curve for boron steel was confirmed while quenching. The Taguchi orthogonal array experiment method was used to optimize the process variables, such as area reduction ratio and heat treatment conditions (tempering temperature and holding time), to achieve toughness improvement. The toughness of the track shoe increased with increasing area reduction, and a tempering temperature of

The finite element analysis has become an essential process to investigate the structural performance in many industry fields. In addition, the computer's performance is improving rapidly, but in large design problems, there is a limit to apply the optimal design techniques. For this, it is general to introduce a metamodel based optimization technique. The method to generate an approximate model can be classified into curve fitting and interpolation, and each representative one is response surface model and kriging interpolation method. This study proposes an ensemble model made of RSM and kriging to solve a structural design problem. The suggested method is applied to the designs of two bar and automobile outer tie rod.

This paper describes the changes of shape accuracy in workpiece materials depending on the turning clearance angle. The experiments started from choosing three workpiece materials, SM45C(machine structural carbon steel), STS303(stainless steel) and SCM415 (chrome-molybdenum steel). The experiments showed specifically how features of selected materials changed when they were processed with diverse machining depths, 0.1 mm, 0.2 mm and 0.3 mm, with various negative angles,

Hot Forging Simulation of Outer Tie Rod for Reducing Forming Load

Recently the improvement in vehicle performance trend to increase in accordance with the weight of this part. Outer tie rod is small when compared to the other vehicle part by weight, but there is a need to reduce the weight of the outer tie rod in order to improve fuel efficiency of the vehicle. Therefore, from previous studies, a model of outer die rod is proposed using Design of Experiments and Meta model satisfying the buckling performance. Outer tie rod are manufactured through forging process, in this study, we compare the size of the forming load in accordance with the change in the moving speed through the die forging analysis of the outer tie rod on the basis of the actual molding process.
Performance of Humidifying Element Made of Cellulose and PET Composite

To control the indoor humidity, humidifier is installed in an air handling unit. Up to now, foreign product made of glasswool has been widely used as a humidifying element. In this study, a new humidifying element made of cellulose and PET was tested, and the performance was compared with Glasdek element, which is made of glasswool. Mass transfer rates and pressure drops were measured from the element which was installed at the entrance of the suction-type wind tunnel. Results show that,

Effect of Oil Groove Shapes on the Characteristic of the Flow Rate at the Journal Bearing with Vertical Type

As journal bearing has a sliding motion between the shaft and bearing with lubricating oil, it produces a hydrodynamic lubrication condition. Journal bearing can receive a large force because it takes a distributed load at the large friction face. As the oil groove or oil hole is made in the journal bearing surface for the journal bearing smoothly working under a hydrodynamic lubrication condition, sufficient lubricating oil is supplied through the clearance of journal bearing. The performance of the journal bearing is changed according to the shapes, sizes and positions of an oil groove. In this paper, the flow rate according to the oil groove shapes (triangle, semicircle and rectangle) among the various oil supply conditions was measured. The shape that discharges the highest flow rate was observed and the groove shape of optimal performance for the journal bearing was determined. The results showed that the flow rate increases with decreasing operating temperature, the influence of temperature on the flow rate decreased with increasing rotational speed, and flow rate in the triangular groove shape was greater than in other shapes.

A unique crystallization behavior of poly(L-lactide)(PLLA)/poly(D-lactide)(PDLA) stereocomplex(SC) was observed when a PLLA/PDLA blend was subjected to the specific melting conditions. Therefore, we tried to blend PLLA and PDLA at overall composition to form PLA stereocomplexes. Moreover, impact modifier and reinforcement materials such as talc and glass fiber added to enhance the mechanical and thermal properties such as impact strength and heat distortion temperature(HDT). As a result, we got one representative result, one composite recipe with HDT

For more economic technology, we tried to blend PLLA and Polypropylene at overall composition and we got another representative result which could be applied to current PP/talc composites and ABS materials. The core technology of this might be the well dispersion of glass fibers into the matrix resin such as PP, PLLA and impact strength modifier.
Study on Performance of an Fuel Pressure Regulator under Failure Condition in an Electric Control Diesel Engine

To cope with exhaust gas regulation, Diesel engine applied to electronic control system. As it accurately regulated the injected fuel mass and the fuel efficiency and the output are increased but the noise and the vibration are decreased. In order to keep the performance of Electronic Diesel Control System, it is important to accurately control the fuel pressure. However, when the regulator of fuel pressure is not controlled properly, the failure phenomenons(starting failure, staring delay, accelerated failure, engine mismatch et al.) occur because the fuel pressure is not stabilize. In this study, effects on a fuel pressure, engine rotating speed according to the control rate of fuel-pressure regulator are investigated in order to analyzed the performance variation with failure of fuel-pressure regulator. As a result, when the control rate of a fuel-pressure regulator is 4%~6% lower than that of standard condition, the variation of engine's rpm and return fuel flow is increased, and the abnormal condition was occurred. Besides, it is possible to diagnose the failures on fuel-pressure regulator under these conditions.
Pool Boiling Performance of Enhanced Tubes for the Generator of an Absorption Chiller

For performance improvement and compactness, usage of enhanced tube is inevitable. However, studies on enhanced tubes for generator is very limited. In this study, pool boiling tests were conducted for 7 heat transfer tubes. Test range covered pressure 7.38~101.3 kPa and heat flux
. Results show that boiling heat transfer coefficient increases as pressure or heat flux increases. Under atmospheric condition, high heat transfer coefficients were obtained for notched fin and low fin tubes(225% and 202% of the 19.0 mm smooth tube, which yielded the lowest heat transfer coefficient). As pressure decreased, high heat transfer coefficients were obtained for a low fin tube(290% and 288% of the 19.0 mm smooth tube at 12.34 and 7.38 kPa).

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of family affluence on happiness and to investigate the mediating effects of self-rated health on the relationship between family affluence and happiness. This study was conducted to analyze the data which were derived from 8th(2012) of the online census on youth health behavior conducted by the Ministry of Disease Control and total subjects were 74,168. The result of this study is that social-economy is regarded as a little poor. On the other hand, subjective health is regarded as a good and they generally satisfied with life. The relationship between family affluence, happiness, and self-rated health, family affluence level is linked to happiness and self-rated health, and self-rated health has positive effects on the level of happiness. That is, it was verified that self-rated health has a partial mediation effect on the way that family affluence influences happiness. Based on the results of study, the followings are suggested: the impact of socioeconomic disparities on health disparities needed to be decreased; The efforts of the social dimension, health policy formulation and execution of multi-dimensional which is to increase happiness should be implemented.

The purpose of this study is to induce a indicator related to the response, handling and management which are appeared on each step of business enforcement in housing reconstruction projects. Then, it aims to appropriately and reasonably resolve the conflicts of reconstruction business with relevant subjects. These projects physician satisfaction and continual business was going to have the impact that any analysis of the structure in an evaluation. In addition, this study analyzes the impact structure on the business satisfaction and a intention for continuous business through this evaluation. This study sets a operational hypothesis in order to verify the relationship between the variables. then, it creates the structural model by using the Smart PLS 3.0. After analyzing the impact structure by using total 252 samples, this study adopts the final hypothesis which shows (+) path coefficient as set in the hypothesis and test statistic above 1.65. In result, six out of the nine hyphothesis are adopted. then, The 'Response to conflict' which affects the 'Management to conflict(H1)' has a path coefficient of 0.618. In addition, the 'Handling to conflict' which affects the 'Management to conflict(H2)' has a path coefficient of 0.150. The 'Handling to conflict' which affects the satisfaction of 'business' has a path coefficient of 0.101. and the 'management to conflict' which affects the satisfaction of 'business(H7)' has a path coefficient of 0.644. In addition, the 'Intention for continuous business(H8)' shows a path coefficient of 0.258. Finally, The satisfaction of 'business' which affects the 'intention for continuous business(H9)' has a path coefficient of 0.391.
Neural bases underlying Native or Foreign word production, and Language switching

The neural bases underlying within or between-language picture naming was investigated by using event-related fMRI. The present suudy explorered the following two goals: The first is to compare cortical activation areas relevant to naming process in native and foreign language, and to decide whether the activation pattern of the foreign word will be the same as native words or not. The next is to find the cerebral areas involved only in alternating language switching between native and foreign language condition. Differential activation patterns were observed for language switching against one-language. Both naming tasks all activated the left inferior frontal gyrus (LIFG) as expected. However the differences in naming between languages were reflected in the activation amount of the LIFG, namely more activation in naming the native language than the foreign language. Especially, naming of the foreign word from English showed the similar area and size in activation with native language suggesting that the process of borrowed noun resembles that of native common noun. And the language switching between languages newly activated the right middle frontal gyrus as well as the left inferior frontal areas. The right middle frontal gyrus engagement in switching conditions obviously identified that right hemisphere is recruited in code switching possibly with respect to meta-cognition controlling language index at a subconscious level.
Outlook of the timber supply to the wood industry buildup master plan

This study assessed the long term structure of forest age groups and the possibility of a domestic wood supply based on the wood industry buildup master plan. Wood is assumed to be supplied by main cutting, renewal, cutting damaged trees and thinning. The cohort equation was applied to identify the dynamic changes in forest area according to the age groups. The sixth age group, which composed of only 7.7% in 2010, is expected to comprise 73% of the total production land. The area distributions of the other age groups are expected to be between 5.3 - 5.6%. Consequently, the production volume from main cutting accounts for approximately 93 - 95% of the total production. The production volume from thinning, which depends on the area of the second and third age groups, will be decreased gradually. When the volume of domestic timber supply was compared with the timber demand from a previous study, the self-sufficiency of timber demand will be approximately 83% in 2050.

The study surveyed the health risk factors and risk assessments status preventing accidents and incidents in beauty workplaces. In addition, the health safety awareness technicality was categorized. The research results were as follows. Beauty workers (about 60%) were exposed to health hazards regarding the skin, respiratory, muscle system during more than half of their working hours. On the other hand, they recognized the need for risk assessments in the workplace. The health safety awareness in the workplace differed according to the status of the risk assessment and the category of business. This provides the basic data that can be activated to manage health safety standards for workers and an unspecified number of people.
Depression According to Baby Boomers' Awareness on Elderly care by Elderly: Analysis of intermediating effect of Social Support

The aim of this study is to elucidate the underlying process of change affecting depression through social support. 250 korean adults from age 52 to age 60 years old who lived in South Chungcheong were sampled. Social support was composed of two types: instrumental and emotional support. As the results, first, elderly care activities for voluntary recogniton is situated on 3.56, 3.17 involuntary exposure perception of elderly care activities. Second the baby boomers get more depressed when having lower elderly care activities for voluntary recogniton and lower social support. Third, there is a partial mediating effect of social support in association with elderly care activities for voluntary recogniton and depression.
A Role of Functional and Symbolic Image of the Brand

This study provides a framework for understanding the effects of brand image(symbolic and functional) on emotional commitment and behavioral commitment. First, the causal relationships between brand image, emotional commitment and behavioral commitment were examined. Second, the mediating effects of brand trust were also examined. Undergraduate students(N=217) were participated in the survey and the structural equation modeling was utilized for data analysis. The results of this study reveal that both of symbolic and functional brand image are positively related to brand trust. Brand trust also have positive effects on emotional commitment and behavioral commitment. Based on the results, some recommendations for company are discussed and future research directions are outlined.

This study tried to derive the elements of the plan, recognizing the importance of taking into account the social weak when construct community facilities. For these, this study found planning indicator around literature review, then re-established indicators by Focus Group Interview. So it can draw following implication through result of analysis. First, planner considering the social weak should make fair space for harmonious communication between users. physical planning is important, but the building is to be vehicle for the social communication. So it needs to compose program without social elimination. Second, it is important to make participation base for the social weak in community facilities. Finally the reinforce of participation base can be indicator which encourage ownership and locality.
Effect of Social Capital on Goendang culture (a traditional community culture on Jeju) and Local Development

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of social capital on Goendang(relatives) culture, which is a traditional local community culture, and local development as a positive factor. In order to evaluate the effect of social capital, a survey targeting 600 Jeju residents was conducted and 594 returned questionnaires were interpreted for the final analysis. Descriptive analysis, T-test, ANOVA analysis, and multiple regression analysis were conducted on the collected data, using SPSS 18.0. As a result, firstly, the levels of social capital of the surveyed appear as follows: network (average score 4.01), trust (average score 3.80), norms (average score 3.43), cooperation (average score 3.00), and participation (average score 2.80). Secondly, there are differences in social capital among the surveyed groups based on urban-rural areas, administrative districts, and average monthly income. Finally, among the dimensions of social capital, as the relative importance of network and participation increases, the surveyed think that they need Goendang culture more. Also, i t turns out that as the relative importance of norms and participation increases, Goendang culture can exert influence on local development as an important influence factor. Therefore, based on the analysis, this study shows that nurturing social capital can allow people to utilize Goendang culture for local development as a positive community culture.
A Qualitative Research on Women Marriage Immigrants' Marital Life: Beyond Objectified Typification

This study aims to explore the meaning of marital life from the point of women marriage immigrants through the phenomenological qualitative methodology by Giorgi. Results showed that the meaning of marriage life were 'love, the attraction of various colors','husband, really good person', 'the reality', 'child: stability, pleasure and hardship','husband demanding Korean women's life', 'difficult and good in-laws', 'marriage is my power', 'community beyond marriage life'. The meaning that participants experienced was living like Korean woman with really good husband in unfamiliar and afraid society. This meaning was beyond the objectified negative typification of women marriage immigrant.
A study on Strategies for enhancement of Effective Children-Teacher Interaction and Teacher's Teaching Capacity through Recognition Comparison between Nursery Teachers and Early Childhood Teachers

The purpose of this study is to examine differences between nursery teachers and kindergarten teachers in their perception on key elements of effective interactions and enhanced teaching competence. The subject of the study were 143 early childhood teachers in the Y region of Gyeonggi-do. The collected data was processed through frequency and percentage. For difference test,
tests were conducted. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, both nursery teachers and kindergarten teachers perceived that listening and playing were the most important factors in effective interactions between young children and teachers. However, nursery teachers perceived the interaction through skin-ship and complimenting to be more important whereas kindergarten teachers perceived questioning and complimenting as necessary. For the teaching criteria, nursery teachers put more weights on playing while kindergarten teachers focus more on explaining and coorperating. In addition, about evaluation methods, nursery teachers perceived self-evaluation as important, whereas kindergarten teachers perceived observation notes as important. Second, about the elements to strengthen teaching competence, nursery teachers perceived that observation records should be utilized for understanding interest or desire. They also believe that development analysis and teaching methods should be improved through systematical teaching plan and evaluation and that enhancement of teaching material and education are necessary. In contrast, kindergarten teachers perceived that observation records should be utilized for teaching plan and development analysis and teaching methods should be improved through participating in the meetings related to career and education. They believe that providing a prize money through supervising evaluation is necessary.
Effect of the Recommendation Story in Online Journalism on the User's News Selection

This paper analyzed the recommendation stories in the online journalism on the user's news choice by college students in two ways. One way is recommendation stories, and the other one is their arrangement and the index of use. From the results of the analysis, 7 out of 11 types of recommendation stories had positive effects on selecting news stories, while the 4 other types had little effect. Most of the recommendation stories that had little effect on the user's news selection were 'comments' or 'things' related to tweets' on SNS. The arrangements of new stories and the searched keywords had some effects on the user's news choice but had no effect on the index of use. In addition, the hours of using news stories and the types of recommendation stories were mostly correlated with each other. Consequently, formal factors, such as the arrangement of news stories and the recommendation stories of online journalism, had positive effects on the user's news selection, as well as headlines and keywords of news stories.
A Study on the Impact of Attraction and Compromise Effects on Choice Probability of Private Brands

The strategy of distributors using a PB(Private Brand) inferior to existing PB to increase choice probability of PB arouses difficulty in terms of cost. Therefore, the aim of this study is to verify incentive and compromise effects of PB using two realistic experimental methods. Looking at the verification results, incentive and compromise effects occurred to show increase in choice probability of PB when a new GB(Generic Brand) was added to NB(National Brand) and PB of a manufacturer. In specific during experiment 1, choice probability of PB, the target, was changed when decoy brand was introduced even if there is a large difference in preference and choice probability of the competitor and target due to characteristics of NB and PB. In experiment 2, incentive effect appeared when PB of competitor was positioned as an inferior alternative to increase choice probability of the company's PB. Strategic implications on the study results, limits of this study, and future directivity were proposed.
The Effect of Organization Factors and Knowledge Information Characteristic Factors on Organization Performance of Knowledge Management System

This research empirically analyzed the effect of introduction factors of knowledge management system on organization performance with companies and agencies introducing and operating knowledge management system. As a result of analysis: first, it showed that CEO support among the sub-variables of organization factors affected organization performance; second, quality, reliability and convenience in use of knowledge information, sub-variables of knowledge information factors, had a significant influence; and vision and goal among sub-variables of organization factors, didn't have an influence on organization performance. These research results were identical with those of precedent studies. But we found out that vision and goal assessed by core strategy and establishment of vision, clarity and concreteness of vision and strategy, necessity of knowledge management, and regularization of core knowledge were analyzed as the variables having no positive effect on organization performance and analyzed differently from the precedent studies' results.

This study diagnosed the innovation capability of SMEs by utilizing the VIQ(Value Innovation Quotient) and deduced the innovation strategy. VIQ is the diagnosis tool for measuring the innovation capability of the SMEs focusing on the value innovation. SMEs can utilize this tool for diagnosis and deduce the innovation strategy. This study selected the high-growth venture company- K company and analyse it and deduced the innovation strategy. Innovation strategy can be as follows; Firstly, agile strategy formulation tool such as business intelligence and scenario planning should be adopted for the flexible business planning. Secondly, speedy decision making process should be made. Thirdly, open communication and empowerment process should be made. This paper can present the method of evaluating and diagnosis of value innovation capability of SMEs and innovation strategy formulation process.

Recently, since the "Capital Market Consolidation Act" has been effective in 2009, the competition among the securities companies in Korean security market has been fierce. Thus, securities business lately are needed by the market environmental requirements rapidly changed for various strategies. The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of corporate attribute, employee attribute, financial product attribute securities on customer satisfaction, trust with the firm, and usage intention. As the subjects I selected the customer of securities in Seoul in 2014 and conducted survey with questionnaires. Among total 400, I chose 378 as the valid sample by convenience sampling. For the data process, I used SPSS 20.0 I verified the perspective hypotheses after testing reliability and validity of fit by the data process. The results are as following. First, it was shown that the sub-factors of corporate attribute, employee attribute, financial product attribute in securities as ethics, innovation, size, kind, professionalism, ethics, profitability and diversity had significant effect on usage intention. Second, the study confirms that reliability and satisfaction influences customer loyalty as moderate variable. The industrial and academic significance of this study is that it may serve as a useful base date to understand customer behavior and draw new strategies in a financial management environment.
The mediating effect of their emotional intelligence on the relationship between creative home environment of fathers and creative personality of young children

The purpose of this study was to identity the mediating effect of emotional intelligence on the relationships between creative home environment and creative personality of young children. The subjects of the study were 225 young children from daycare center in Busan. The results of the study are as follow; first, creative home environment were significantly positively correlated to emotional or creative personality of young children. And emotional intelligence were significantly positively correlated to creative personality of young children. Second, emotional intelligence worked as a part mediation variable between creative home environment and creative personality of young children. According to, this study suggests that the creative home environment during early childhood predict their creative personality. Their emotional intelligence, especially is the impact factor that can mitigate effects of the creative home environment.
A Study on the Optimal Allocation of Maintenance Personnel in the Naval Ship Maintenance System

Naval maintenance system carries out repairs of battle ships. Korean Navy has four maintenance stations to maximize the readiness of the battle ships. Since each station can provide different services according to characteristics(specific size of ships, type of maintenances) and the maintenance ability of stations is predetermined, it has been one of complex problems for the Korean Navy to find the optimal resource allocation. We investigate the operation of the stations from the perspective of the human resource allocation which plays crucial role in the performance of the maintenance stations. Using a queueing model and optimization technique, we present a way to derive the optimal personnel allocation which minimize the waiting number of battle ships at each station, leading to the improvement of the military readiness in the Korean Navy.

This study aims to research on the relationship between job resources, symptoms of burnout, and depersonalization and its impact on the customer orientation. Using data from hotel frontline employees of Seoul in Korea, it seeks to investigate the mediating effects of burnout symptoms and depersonalization to the relationships between job resources and customer orientation. Data was analyzed using Structural Equations Modeling (SEM) by of AMOS program. The research advances understanding of the relationships between job resources, emotional exhaustion, depersonalization as a situational personality trait and the FLE customer orientation in five deluxe star hotel environment. The findings highlight the value of burnout and depersonalization, and suggest a number of practical implications for the identification, recruitment and retention of hotel employees.
A Study on Clinical Reasoning Ability and Academic Achievements in Nursing Students

The purpose of this study was to verify clinical reasoning of nursing students as well as clarify the relevance between clinical reasoning and academic achievement. 87 students broke into 30 groups of two or three. The students performed post operative care for adult patients in the simulation practicum course of their final semester. Data were collected by evaluating the video-recorded nursing practicum using the clinical reasoning rubric. Clinical reasoning of 61(70.1%) students was limited to the beginning level and that of 6(6.9%) students of the highest scoring was at the third level among the four levels of ability. There was no significant correlation between clinical reasoning and the final cumulative GPA, while there was low level of significant correlation between clinical reasoning and GPA of adult health nursing course or adult health nursing practicum course. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the nursing curriculum to enhance nursing students' clinical reasoning.
Affecting Factors on Clinical Competence of Nursing Students

The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of clinical competence and influencing factors of clinical competence in nursing students. The data was collected using questionnaire from 207 students who running the 2nd grade courses of nursing curricula in college and was performed from August 25 to September 15. In clinical competence, there were significant differences in satisfaction of major, satisfaction of clinical experience. There was a positive correlation among clinical competence and professional self-concept, critical thinking disposition and self-directed learning ability. The most effective factor on clinical competence was self-directed learning ability, followed by professional self-concept and critical thinking disposition. The study findings suggest that to develop the effective learning program with achievement level of clinical competency for nursing students.
Effects of Group Task-Oriented Circuit Training on Motor Function, ADLs and Quality of Life in Individuals with Chronic Stroke: A Case Study

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of group task-oriented circuit training (TOCT) based on motor learning applied in conjunction with physical and occupational therapy on functional activity, activities of daily living (ADLs), and quality of life in individuals with chronic stroke. Six chronic stroke patients participated for a duration of 31 weeks. Treatment outcomes were assessed via Chedoke-McMaster Stroke Assessment, the Berg Balance Scale, the Assessment of Motor and Process Skill (AMPS), and the Stroke Impact Scale pre- and post-intervention. The participants exhibited significant improvements in impairment, static and dynamic balance, and mood and emotion after group TOCT. The results of AMPS indicated an improvement in the motor area in 3 of the subjects. In the process area, 4 of the subjects exhibited improvement. The results of this study suggest that TOCT is beneficial to physical functions for chronic hemiparetic stroke patients in community-dwelling.
The Effect of the Fall Prevention Exercise Program Focussed on Strengthening of the Lower Extremity Muscles on the Change of Physical Function and Muscle Architecture of the Elderly

This study was conducted to verify the effect of the fall prevention exercise program (FPEP). From 1st June to 14th July in 2014, 52 subjects above the age of 65 in 2 health clinics of A town, J city were randomly assigned to two groups(exercise 31, control 21). While exercise group performed FPEP twice a week for 6 weeks, control group received education only. The results showed significant difference between the two groups in the TUG of physical function(P=.032). There were no statistically significant difference between the two groups in the fear of falls, falls efficacy of mental functions. The result of ultrasound measurement of lower extremity muscles showed statistically significant differences between groups in the 7 items(RF CSA Contraction RF DIS Resting, TA Thickness Contraction, TA P-angle Contraction, GCM Thickness Resting, GCM Thickness Contraction, GCM P-angle Contraction)(p<.05). In conclusion, the FPEP is very effective in the prevention of falls.
Analysis of the Health Insurance Costs of Occupational Therapy in Stroke patients

This study examined health insurance costs of occupational therapy in stroke patients. The subjects were stroke patients, who underwent occupational therapy by hospitalization or out-patient centers in 2010. The cost of occupational therapy was analyzed from the insurance claims data of Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service in 2010. The kinds of occupational therapy were divided according to the insurance fee of occupational therapy in 2010. In-patients who received occupational therapy paid the highest rehabilitation treatment fee, whereas outpatients paid the highest nervous system function test fee. The cost of occupational therapy in the special rehabilitation treatment fee was highest by 25.3 billion won. The number of uses of general hospitals was the highest by 180 thousand but the total cost of long-term care hospital was highest by 10.4 billion won. The number of uses and cost by regional groups was highest in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do province. This study is meaningful in that a cost analysis of occupational therapy in stroke patients was performed for the first time using the stroke data from the whole country. The result can be used to provide basic data to improve the insurance fee in the future.
Related Factors of Musculoskelectal Symptoms in University Hospital Workers

This study is to identify the related factors of musculoskeletal symptoms in university hospital workers. The subjects were 313 workers who were working at a university hospital. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, logistic regretion using the SPSS/PC 21.0 program. The results showed that 201 respondents(64.2%) had musculoskelectal pain. According to a survey of musculoskeletal pain in body parts, the shoulder was the most common region; 37% of the health-workers(116 respondents). Musculoskeletal pain are more common in health-workers under 35 years old or work more than 6 years, or have more physical burden. In conclusion, health-workers need more active health care such as planning a preventive activity and stretching during work in order to prevent the deterioration of musculoskeletal symptoms into diseases.
Relationship between prevalenc of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder symptoms and depression of college students -Focused o health related majors-

This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between depression and adult attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD) of college students. Collage students up to 350 people self-report survey was conducted using the Conners ADHD Rating Scale Korean version and Beck Depression Inventory. Adult ADHD symptoms prevalence was 5.1 % and the highest form of carelessness. Depression grade was
points of college students and female students was higher than male students is depression grade, severe depression and modurate depressive symptoms were 2.1 %. Model of explanatory were slightly higher in 33.5%, adult ADHD affects depression and coexistence rate of adult ADHD symptoms and depressive symptoms was found to be 3.1%. Therefore, adult ADHD symptoms prevalence and depression of collage students seems to be relationship. Given the wide range of social and emotional problems due to adult ADHD seems necessary measures to establish a social dimension to adult ADHD.
A meta-analysis of intervention studies on the effects of self-management in knee osteoarthritis

The purpose of the this study was to provide objective evidence through a systematic review and meta-analysis regarding the effects of self-management in knee osteoarthritis. Articles published between 1999 and 2013 from periodicals indexed Ovid Medline, CINAHL, PubMed, RISS, KISS and other databases were selected, using the following key words: Osteoarthriti* OR OA, self-(management OR care OR help). A selection of 11 studies(7 randomized controlled trials and 4 quasi-experimental interventions that were used were exercise, education, massage and self-help group. As a result of mera-analysis, self-management significantly effected pain, physical function, activities of daily living, and self-efficacy. In particular, self-management showed great effect on ADL, and moderate effect on pain and physical function. Based upon these result, it is necessary to develop a standardized self-management program for knee osteoarthritis patients.
The effect of dynamic stabilization exercise on unstable surface on thickness, density of back muscle

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of dynamic stabilization exercise on unstable surface on thickness, muscle density and white area index (WAI) of transverse abdominis muscle and multifidus muscle. The subjects were 20s healthy adults and 27 people were measured for muscle thickness and muscle density, white area index after the experiment conducted during a six-week dynamic stabilization exercises divided into three groups, each in a different plane. The results showed a significant difference between the three groups (p <.05). Repeated measures analysis of variance (repeated ANOVA) results, transverse abdominis muscle and multifidus muscle thickness showed a significant difference between the groups in the time difference (p <.05), and between multifidus muscle density and white area index in the comparison between groups showed a significant difference (p <.05). In conclusion, showed significant difference in lumbar stabilization exercise part. These results seems to be utilized as a basis for future research on the lumbar stabilization exercise.
Functional expression of TREK1 channel in human bone marrow and human umbilical cord vein-derived mesenchymal stem cells

Human bone marrow or human umbilical cord vein derived-mesenchymal stem cells (hBM-MSCs or hUC-MSCs) have known as a potentially useful cell type for clinical therapeutic applications. We investigated two-pore domain potassium (K2P) channels in these cells. K2P channels play a major role in setting the resting membrane potential in many cell types. Among them, TREK1 is targets of hydrogen, hypoxia, polyunsaturated fatty acids, antidepressant, and neurotransmitters. We investigated whether hBM-MSCs and hUC-MSCs express functional TREK1 channel using RT-PCR analysis and patch clamp technique. Potassium channel with a single channel conductance of 100 pS was found in hUC-MSCs and BM-MSCs and the channel was activated by membrane stretch (-5 mmHg ~ -15 mmHg), arachidonic acid (
) and intracellular acidosis (pH 6.0). These electrophysiological properties were similar to those of TREK1. Our results suggest that TREK1 is functionally present in hBM-MSCs and hUC-MSCs, where they contribute to its resting membrane potential.
The effect of the self-measurement frequency levels on SmartCare obesity management

This study's purpose was to analyze the effect of the SmartCare obesity management pilot project, which was conducted between 09 March 2011 and 03 April 2013 in Korea (South). Of 212 subjects who were enrolled in the study, the final analysis was conducted with 147 subjects who completed their weight self-measurements and SmartCare services until the end of a 6-month service period. The self-measurement group for evaluation was classified into 3 groups (Low, Middle, and High) by evenly dividing the monthly average frequency of measurement for 6 months and the evaluation indices were weight, and BMI (Body Mass Index) transmitted from the SmartCare System. The monthly average weight and BMI were decreased more in the High Group than the Middle Group and Low Group (M5: High>Middle>Low), and they are showing statistically significant differences between groups (p< 0.05). In conclusion, analysis of the weight and BMI improvement effect showed a greater improvement effect when the self-measurement frequency level was higher.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of horse-riding simulator exercise on the static balance of chronic stroke patients. The study's sample included 30 stroke patients who were randomly classified into an experiment group and a control group. Both the experiment and control groups received therapeutic exercise one time per day, but the experiment group also received twenty minutes of horse-riding simulator exercise three times per week for six weeks. To compare the groups, an independent t-test was performed, and to compare each period, a paired t-test was conducted and its result was analyzed. The result of this study, moving distance under standing position with eyes closed, showed significant difference in horse-riding simulator exercise group after exercise. But, there was no significant difference between horse-riding simulator exercise group and control group. Further, various clinical studies focusing on effects of horseback riding exercise on function of stroke patients are needed.

This study was conducted to identify the recognition for nursing competency importance, nursing competency level, and their influencing factors of nurses in the long-term care hospitals. Age-Related Physical Function(ADL, IADL) and its Related Factors of Elderly People in Korea

This study was performed to determine the levels of physical function (ADL, IADL) and to reveal its association with the related factors in the elderly people. The study subjects were 1,756 (male 872, female 884) people aged over 70 who received medical check-ups and long-term care services between 2009 and 2012 from the National Health Insurance Corporation. As a result, the distribution of impaired ADL and IADL increased significantly with age. Logistic regression showed that the risk ratio of impaired ADL was increased significantly in the following groups: female, urban, low weight, stroke history group, smoking, alcohol drinking, and not regular exercise group. The risk ratio of an impaired IADL were increased significantly in the group of females, low weight, smoking, alcohol drinking. On the other hand the risk ratio of an impaired ADL and IADL was similar in each age group. As above results, the levels of ADL and IADL in the study subjects are closely related to the socio-demographic characteristics and health related behaviors. In particular, they suggested that the levels of ADL and IADL were lower in the poor group of the health-related behaviors, such as smoking, alcohol drinking, and regular exercise.
Changes of Center of Pressure and Cadence Analysis According to the Carrying Type and Weight of a Bag in College Students

This study examined the changes in the center of pressure (COP) and cadence according to three types of bags carried and three different bag weights. The experimental period was from June 3, 2013 to January 20, 2014, and thirty eight healthy adults (mean age:
years, age range: 22-30 years) volunteered under three conditions. In the first condition, the subjects wore a bag over one shoulder and they walked. In the second condition, they carried a bag across the shoulder and walked. With the third condition, they carried a backpack using both shoulders and walked. 3-Dimentional motion analysis system and a force plate were used to measure the kinematic parameters of gait and COP displacement during gait. Each subject walked 6 meters carrying a 3kg, 5kg and 7kg bag under all three conditions. The COP of the antero-posterior and medio-lateral, and cadence variable were significantly different according to the bag weight of 3kg, 5kg and 7kg. These findings suggest that walking while carrying a backpack using both shoulders is more effective on the changes in COP and gait of adults than the other conditions.
Factors Influencing Maternal-Fetal attachment among Pregnant Women

This study was conducted in order to identify factors influencing maternal-fetal attachment among pregnant women, considering the factors presented in Mercer's theory: Becoming a Mother(pregnancy stress, self-esteem, dyadic adjustment, sense of mastery, antepartum stress). The data was collected through structured questionnaires from 140 pregnant women who visited the obstetric clinic and public health centers in a metropolitan area to have prenatal tests from August 23th to November 25th 2014. The data were analyzed by SPSS 20 software using descriptive statistics, the t-test, ANOVA, the Pearson's correlation coefficients and a stepwise multiple regression. The results were as follows: Maternal-fetal attachment in the group of pregnant women under 30 years of age was significantly higher than that in the group of over the age of 31(t=2.79,p=.004). Primiparas had higher maternal-fetal attachment than multiparas(F=3.27, p=.041). There was a negative correlation between pregnancy stress(r=-0.22, p=.009) and maternal-fetal attachment. Self-esteem (r=0.45, p<.001), dyadic adjustment(r=0.42, p<.001), sense of mastery(r=0.24, p=.005) and maternal-fetal attachment were, however, positively correlated. It was found that self-esteem, dyadic adjustment and age were some of the factors influencing maternal-fetal attachment among pregnant women. These variables explained 26.1% of the variance in maternal-fetal attachment. Findings of this study indicate needs for comprehension and assessment of self-esteem and dyadic adjustment in pregnant women through prenatal tests. Also, the intervention programs to improve maternal-fetal attachment among older mothers should be developed and implemented.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect the interferential current (IFC) stimulation level according to autonomic nerve system (ANS) of healthy adults. IFC measured with adhesive 2-pole electrodes pad on T1~T4 spinal cord segment level that electrode stimulation of 20 min after. A total of 45 healthy adults participated in the study, who were randomly divided into three groups: 15 of sensory level stimulus group (100 bps, 10~12 mA), 15 of exercise level stimulus group (5 bps, 45~50 mA), 15 of noxious level stimulus group (100 bps, 80~90 mA). Measured items were sympathetic activity and parasympathetic activity. In order to identify the changes in measurement variables before electrode stimulation and after and 30 min stimulation. The comparison of sympathetic and parasympathetic activity in each group revealed that they was changes of after vs 30 min in after electrical stimulation time(p<.05).

The objective of this study was to the effects of emotional labor and nursing organizational culture on the empowerment among psychological nurses. The subjects of this study were the psychological nurses working at 3 mental hospitals in C city. The self-reported questionnaires were administered to 162 psychological nurses and data were analyzed with SPSS 19.0. Factors related to Suicide Ideation among Middle School Students

The purpose of this study was to define the relationship between job stress contents and smoking habits of manufacturing male workers. The 872 male workers were observed the general characteristics, smoking habits and job stress contents from the JCQ, during the period from February 1st to April 30st, 2012, using the self-administered questionnaires. As a results, the smoking rate of study subjects was 53.0%, and in terms of smoking status by general characteristics, the smoking group was higher in the group of age, job position and job career than their respective counterparts. In terms of smoking status by job stress contents, the smoking group was higher in the group of job demand and supervisor support than their respective counterparts. Based on the results of logistic regression adjusted age, job position and job career, the odds ratio of smoking was significantly increase in the high group of job demand than that of low group, but it was significantly decrease in the low group of supervisor support than that of high group. Above results suggested that the smoking related with the job demand and the supervisor support among the job stress contents.
A preliminary study on the Effectiveness of Group Occupational therapy program for Dementia Patient in Day-care center

The purpose of this study is to have a preliminary study in order to identify changes in occupational performance skills and visual perception of patients with mild dementia, who have been provided with a group occupational therapy program, within community day-care center. The subjects of this study were 9 people with mild dementia living in a community. The period of administration was for 60 minutes per session three times a week during four weeks. We assessed their visual perception function(MVPT) and occupational performance(AMPS). One group pre-post test design was implemented as an experimental study to compare the results between before and after applying the group occupational therapy program within sensory, physical, creative activity. While a statistically significant difference between before and after the program of motor skills(occupational performance skill) is not shown, the visual perception function and occupational performance of patients with mild dementia improved significantly after receiving occupational therapy program(p<0.01, p<0.05). Therefore, it is possible to conclude that the group occupational therapy program is helpful to manage the occupational performance skills and visual perception of patients with mild dementia in community day-care center.

The aim of this study is to identify the effects of the correction exercise program on femoral intercondylar distance, Q-angle and plantar pressure in undergraduate with genu varum. A experimental study with a randomized controlled trial design was used. Thirty subjects with genu varum were allocated in two groups: the experimental group (n=15) or the control group (n=15). The experimental group conducted correction exercise program for 30 minutes a day, 5 times a week, for 6 weeks, while the control group did not perform any exercise. The correction exercise program group showed a significant decreased femoral intercondylar distance, plantar pressure of M 4, M 5 (Metatarsal 4, 5). Also the correction exercise program group significantly increased Q-angle, plantar pressure of Toe 2-5 and M 1, M 2, M 3 (Metatarsal 1, 2, 3) (Rt, Lt) (p<.05). Thus, we suggested that the correction exercise program may be suitable intervention to improve normal alignment in undergraduate with genu varum.

This study is investigated for angle of elbow joint influence on grasp strength, confirm change of grasp strength and brachioradialis thickness according to angle of elbow joint in standing. Comparison of the Health Status Between Korean Seniors and Overseas Korean Seniors in China and Japan

Most overseas Korean seniors live in China and Japan due to Korea's historical background. Although Korean seniors living in Korea China and Japan share some similarities, the overseas seniors have become culturally different as they adapted to their countries of residence. Therefore, the aim of this study was to provide basic reference data for future senior health enhancement models by comparing and analyzing the health of Korean and overseas Korea seniors. The number of subjects in this study was 603 people, which was comprised of 231 Korean seniors, 246 overseas seniors in China, and 126 overseas seniors in Japan. The average age of the subjects was 74.4 years old. The Korean seniors displayed higher average health score than the overseas seniors. Therefore, the study believes that cultural elements should be considered in a future senior health enhancement model.
Pb, Hg and Cd Concentration of Blood and Exposure-Related Factors

This study examined the relationships between the blood heavy metal (Pb, Hg and Cd) concentration and exposure-related factors. The subjects were 2,042 (male: 953, female: 1,089) who were recruited through a National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. Differences in the concentrations of mercury were observed in males, whereas females showed differences in lead and cadmium. Analyses of the blood concentrations according to body mass index and waist circumference showed significantly higher concentrations of mercury. In males, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol of dyslipidemia was higher than normal in the blood lead concentration. In females, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol of dyslipidemia was higher than normal in the blood lead concentration. The blood lead and cadmium concentrations of male smokers was higher than non-smokers, and cadmium showed the same results in females. The blood lead levels were higher in male alcohol consumers than non-drinkers. The blood concentrations of mercury and cadmium showed significant differences according to household income. Blood concentrations of heavy metals were closely related to exposure-related factors, and age, smoking, drinking alcohols, obesity, hyperlipidemia, and household income were found to be relevant.
The effect of Simulation-based learning scenario using standardized repiratory patients on learning satisfaction, clinical skill competency and self-efficacy in Health-related department students

This study was conducted to examine the effects of a simulation-based learning scenario using standardized respiratory patients regarding emergency care on learning satisfaction, and self efficacy, clinical skill competency of health related department students. A quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group pre-post test design was used. A total of 50 students, 25 students for the experimental group and 25 students for the control group, The experimental group received the 2 educations sessions and 1 evaluation session with 180 minutes for each session. It was implemented in November, 2013. Data were analysed using frequency, ratio and t-test by the SPSS/Win 18.0. The experimental group who had the simulation-based learning scenario using standardized respiratory patients showed significantly higher learning satisfaction and self efficacy, clinical skill competency compared with the control group who had a traditional simulation education. Through this study, simulation-based learning scenario using standardized patients was verified to be an effective teaching method to be grow up on professional competency of health related department students. Also the simulation-based learning scenario using standardized patients should be developed in the various fields.
Influencing Factors on Nicotine Dependency of Smoking in Middle School Students

This study aimed to identify the influencing factors on nicotine dependency of middle school smokers and to provide the basic data for the effective smoking cessation program. Data were collected from May 3 to July 26 in 2013 by self-reported questionnaires. The subjects of this study were 202 middle school smokers in D city. For data analysis, SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 was used to calculate Percentage, mean, Standard deviation, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation coefficient and Path analysis. The results showed that smoking reinforced factors, social environment factors, self-efficacy and impulsivity were significantly influenced on the nicotine dependency directly and indirectly. Therefore, it is necessary to include intervention of smoking reinforced factors, social environment factors, self-efficacy and impulsivity to develop smoking cessation program for smoking in middle school students.
Wide FOV Panorama Image Acquisition Method

Wide FOV(Field-of-View) is required to contain much more visual information in a single image. The wide FOV imaging system has many industrial applications such as surveillance, security, tele-conference, and mobile robots. In order to obtain a wide FOV panorama image, an imaging system with hyperbolic cylinder mirror is proposed in this paper. Because the horizontal FOV is more important than the vertical FOV in general, a hyperbolic cylinder mirror is designed in this paper, that has a hyperbolic curve in the horizontal surface and is the same as a planar mirror in the vertical axis. Imaging model of the proposed imaging system is presented by ray tracing method and the hyperbolic cylinder mirror is implemented. The imaging performance of wide FOV is verified by experiments in this paper. This imaging system is cost-effective and is possible to acquire a wide panorama image having 210 degree horizontal FOV in real-time without an extra image processing.

Thus, by implementing the method proposed in this study to the actual robot system, and is promoting the relevant experiment was to verify the results.
Experimental study on the Organic Ferroelectric Thin Film on Paper Substrate

In this study, It has been demonstrated a new and realizable possibility of the ferroelectric random access memory devices by all solution processing method with paper substrates. Organic ferroelectric poly(vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene) (P(VDF-TrFE)) thin films were formed on paper substrate with Al electrode for the bottom gate structure using spin-coating technique. Then, they were subjected to annealing process for crystallization. The fabricated PVDF-TrFE thin films were observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). It was found from polarization versus electric field (P-E) measurement that a PVDF-TrFE thin film on paper substrate showed very good ferroelectric property. This result agree well with that of a PVDF-TrFE thin film fabricated on the rigid Si substrate. It anticipated that these results will lead to the emergence of printable electron devices on paper. Furthermore, it could be fabricated by a solution processing method for ferroelectric random access memory device, which is reliable and very inexpensive, has a high density, and can be also fabricated easily.
A development of Automotive recognition streetlight lighting control with sound recognition technology

In this paper, proposed a new lighting control system which can reduce power consumption compared to conventional street lamps and intelligently control the light efficiently depending on whether there is a vehicle on the street. The new lighting control system proposed by this paper detects the presence of cars by collecting and analyzing sounds generated by the movement of cars. Then, the system controls lighting of street lamps based on the above car detection information, and turns on the street lamps sequentially by transmitting the car detection information. Experimental results showed that lightings were controlled based on the presence of cars and that operations of the lamps were made by turning on the lights sequentially by determining the moving direction of cars. This system is considered a technology that can reduce energies by applying to local roads with a few cars moving or national highways where lights are always turned on with low energy efficiency.
Improvement of Bandwidth Efficiency for High Transmission Capacity of Contents Streaming Data using Compressive Sensing Technique

A new broadcasting signal transmission, which can save its channel bandwidth using compressive sensing(CS), is proposed in this paper. A new compression technique, which uses two dimensional discrete wavelet transform technique, is proposed to get high sparsity of multimedia image. A L1 minimization technique based on orthogonal matching pursuit is also introduced in order to reconstruct the compressed multimedia image. The CS enables us to save the channel bandwidth of wired and wireless broadcasting signal because various transmitted data are compressed using it. A

In this paper, correction methods of chromatic error for a non-standard display monitor are proposed. Experimental results show that the proposed method using the correction matrix reduced chromatic errors at in compared with the non-corrected image's on a non-standard display.

In u-GIS environments, various load shedding techniques have been researched in order to balance loads caused by input spatial data streams. However, typical load shedding methods on aspatial data lack regard for characteristics of spatial data, also previous load shedding approaches on spatial, which still lack regard for spatial data density or dynamic input data stream, give rise to troubles on spatial query processing performance and accuracy. Therefore, dynamic load shedding scheme over spatial data stream is proposed through stored spatial data deviation and load ratio of input data stream in order to improve spatial continuous query accuracy and performance in u-GIS environment. In proposed scheme, input data which are a big probability related to spatial continuous query may be a strong chance to be dropped relatively.

Due to the development of improved living conditions and medical technology in recent periodic taking drugs is increasing through the outpatient rather than inpatient hospital care. Particularly in the case of patients suffering from geriatric diseases. This geriatric patients should have more attention to the taking medication management because it must keep the medication period. In this paper, we propose and describe an taking medicine information service system for the period and stable taking medicine in patients using the NFC-based u-Drug Cap and technology development and system test results. The developed system is through proper taking medicine information and alarm of geriatric patients or elderly patients. The patient's health can be maintained by preventing not taking and over taking of medicine.
Recursive Probability Estimation of Decision Feedback Equalizers based on Constant Modulus Errors

The DF-MZEP-CME (decision feedback - maximum zero-error probability for constant modulus errors) algorithm that makes the probability for constant modulus error (CME) close to zero and employs decision feedback (DF) structures shows more improved performance in channel distortion compensation. However the DF-MZEP-CME algorithm has a computational complexity proportional to a sample size for probability estimation and this property plays a role of an obstacle in practical implementation. In this paper, the gradient of DF-MZEP-CME is proposed to be estimated recursively and shown to solve the computational problem by making the algorithm independent of the sample size. For a sample size N, the conventional method has 10N multiplications but the proposed has only 20 regardless of N. Also the recursive gradient estimation for weight update is kept in continuity from the initial state to the steady state without any error propagation.
Radio Resource Management using a Game Theoretic Approach Method in Heterogeneous Wireless Networks

With the development of wireless network technologies, mobile users may use various networks easily and expect more advanced services. On the other hand, it may bring on some problems with network resource management that should lead the service provider to improve the current service quality and manage the network resource efficiently. This paper proposes the optimized radio resource management (RRM) scheme that integrates the Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) and game theory. The first applies the GRA to determine the Grey Relation Coefficient (GRC) factors that represent the network preference, and the network provider then selects the requested service that provide maximum payoff through Nash Equilibrium. Six requested services that have one application service among four different types of service classes were considered and the game was played repeatedly. In WiMAX, WLAN 1 and WLAN 2 game, the maximum payoff of each players was 93, 90.6 and 92.8 respectively. The experimental results show that every requested service can be selected by the network provider. Consequently, the proposed radio resource management mechanism is more effective in heterogeneous wireless networks.
Navel Area Detection Based on Body Structure

With the advance of the environment where we can get various multimedia contents, adult image detection has become an important issue these days. In this paper, we suggest a method of robustly detecting navel areas from input images which can be usefully utilized in adult image detection. The suggested algorithm first extracts face regions and extracts candidate nipple areas using a nipple map. Our method then selects only actual nipple regions by filtering candidate areas with geometrical features and an average nipple filter. Subsequently, the method robustly detects navel areas by using the structural relation with the nipple areas and applying edge and saturation images. Experimental results show that the suggested algorithm can effectively detect navel regions.
An Efficient Vehicle Image Compensation Algorithm based on Histogram Equalization

In this paper, we propose an efficient vehicle image compensation algorithm based on Histogram Equalization. The proposed a vehicle image compensation algorithm was elimination to the vehicle image shake using motion compensation and motion estimation. And, algorithm was calculated the histogram of pixel values from each sub-image by dividing the image as the constant size areas in order to image enhancement. Also, it had enhancement to the image by adjusting the gradient. The proposed algorithm was evaluate the difference between of performance and time, image by applied to the IP, and were confirmed the image enhancement with removing of vehicle camera image shake. In this paper, the proposed vehicle image enhancement algorithm was demonstrated effectiveness when compared to existing vehicle image stabilization, because the elimination of shake for the vehicle images used real-time processing without using a memory. And it was obtained the reduction effect of the computation time by the calculated through block matching, and obtained the better restoration result for naturalness of the image with the lowest noise.
A Study on the Characteristics of Planning Process for Public Regeneration of Under-used Space -Focusing on Public Competition Projects for Cultural Regeneration-

In Korea, several design competition have been conducted to revitalize the cultural function of some areas using under-used space. However, though such sites include public and urban assets inherently, these projects defined their boundary as an isolated architectural or landscape design. Hence, this study will clarify the differentiated design content and process for public regeneration of under-used space through analysis of the case-study. For this purpose, firstly, the public and urban assets of under-used space will be analyzed to prove that it should be handled with wider boundaries and perspectives. And then, this study will reveal the limitation of design contents and process of Korean design competitions linking to the regeneration of under-used space after analyzing several case studies. Lastly, some differentiated design inducements conducted by the City of Oslo for the each regeneration plan of under-used space will be deducted, focusing on the fact that those projects have been implemented in more urban and connected ways. As a result, this study is strongly aiming to insist that the revitalization of under-used space should not be implemented by advertising a poetic symbolism. Instead, it must be an practical integrated plan emphasizing the connectivity with surrounding environment and diverse plan.
Study on Behavior of Failure of Footing through Numerical Analysis

In order to find out the load bearing behavior of sand and clay which sustain three types of shallow footing, finite element analyses were performed. Failure zone of sand which sustain strip footing was affected by relative density of sand whereas, failure zone of clay was not affected by soil strength and it was similar to the failure zone which is considered in theory. Considering the shape of load-settlement curves obtained by numerical analyses, punching shear failure can be seen in loose sand and ultimate bearing load can not be seen in dense sand whereas, yielding point can be seen in clay. Ultimate bearing loads for sand predicted by theory were greater than those obtained by numerical analyses and ultimate bearing loads for clay predicted by theory were similar to those of numerical analyses. Ultimate bearing loads determined by 1 inch settlement criteria were slightly less than those of numerical analyses.

The proposed RDT(Reversed Double T) girder bridge is suitable to eco corridor, because of its cross section which resembles Korean alphabet vowel "ㅛ". The total height and cost of bridge would be reduced for its inner space containing some of plant soil. In this study, the performance of the RDT girder was assessed by comparing results of static test with those of nonlinear analysis. The cracking load of the RDT girder was evaluated more than two times of design load.

The permeability of HMA(hot mixed asphalt) is a major influencing factor for long-term performance of the pavement. Especially, the lift thickness of the pavement during construction causes a wide range of physical properties of HMA. This study investigates the correlationship between the lift thickness and the physical properties of HMA through a series of laboratory experiments. The specimens were cored from a construction site of the dense graded asphalt pavement. The cored samples have various lift thickness and the number of compaction for the study. The results of the study show that the permeability of the sample decreases with the apperant density and t/NMAS, and the air void ratio. Therefore, the commonly used construction method as a constant lift thickness regardless of conditions needs to be reconsidered.
Correlation Analysis between Soil Shear Strength Parameters and Cone Index Using Artificial Neural Networks - 1

This study has been undertaken to develop a relationship between the shear strength coefficients and the cone index. The theoretic mathematical equations for the relationship were rigorously investigated, and then a Artificial Neural Network(ANN) analysis was adapted to enhance the reliability of the investigation. The theoretical investigation involved various assumptions resulting in the significant error involvement of geotechnical behaviors of ground. Therefore, a model using the ANN has been learned to enhance the prediction of the cone index form the shear strength parameters. Site investigation reports from various construction fields were used for ANN model learning. The results of the study show that the model predicts the cone index from the shear strength parameters of soils very well. The further study that is undertaking has a potential promise of the generalized prediction technique for the cone index from the soil parameters.
A Study on the Improvement of Greenhouse Frame to Bear the Heavy Snow

The damages from greenhouses collapsing due to heavy snowfall in winter are increasing, and the current frames of greenhouse are required to be improved. This study was conducted to seek solutions to improve intensities of greenhouse frame to bear heavy snows. We investigated a structural safety of greenhouses by calculating axial force, bending moment and combined stress when snow load was increased up to 30% of the current standard ground snow load of the conventional greenhouse types (07-single type 3, 07-single type 18) in the three regions (Gyeongju, Sokcho, and Gangneung) where were most damaged by recent heavy snows. In addition, we determined what structural type was most efficiently bear snow loads by measuring the differences between the load bearing strength according to the changes of tube diameter and thickness or the rafter spacing of greenhouses circular pipe. MIDAS GEN program was used in the analysis. As a result, with the snow load increase of 30%, greenhouse in Gyongju was still safe, but in Sokcho was at a risk, and in Gangneung was possible to be collapsed even in the current snow load. Increased pipe diameter than increased pipe thickness was more efficient in terms of improved performance of greenhouse structure. Accordingly, it is suggested to revise standards of greenhouse to increase pipe diameter of rafter for minimizing damages by heavy snow.

Currently, green house gas(GHG) emissions in korea is aiming for a 30% reduction that it is compared to BAU by 2020. To this end, the government has proceed to a variety of reduction policies in GHG. In particular, GHG reduction effect in the public buildings is being a active discussion. It needs to reduce GHG for energy efficiency improvements in the way that public buildings are operated and maintained by public taxes. In this background, the purpose of this paper is to study environmental values judgement for non-market goods in the residents who use public buildings. The results of study are as follows; Respond to first suggested price was found the higher in price, the lower in willingness to pay(WTP). The result of second suggested price was as the same. Analysis of DBDC CVM revealed that income level shows a positive impact on WTP, but the other variables are irrelevant to WTP. Therefore, the citizen participation of the local population seems absolutely necessary to more effective GHG reduction of public sector in the future.

Recent study about near-surface is proposed to overcome non-economic of underground railway and to reduce people's complaints of ground elevated railway. In this report, precast modular structure system replacing temporary facilities is applied to ensure the construction ability and economic feasibility. To verify the performance of connection joint between permanent structural wall and upper slab, loading test is carried out. As a result of the test, wall replacing temporary structure to slab connection is possible to transfer bending moment. By 30% increase of bending resistant performance for connection joint using coupler, coupler connection joint is more advantageous to resist bending moment compared to channel connection.

The thin cylindrical shell structure under compression should be checked with buckling stability. Initial imperfection effects on buckling strength has been investigated by many researchers. Even though there have been a number of these studies, more studies of buckling strength with various initial imperfections are still necessary. In Eurocode, there is a design parameter that is applicable only on specific imperfection by section thickness rather than on various initial imperfection. In this study, structural analyses, using geometry and material nonlinear analysis, of cylindrical buckling strength with various initial imperfection were performed and compared with Eurocode design strength and Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis results. Moreover, the modified design parameter, which gives more exact prediction result of buckling strength under bending with initial imperfection, is proposed for various initial imperfections.

Recently the importance of renewable energy is stood out regarding to the international concern about global environmental issues. Wind power is beginning to receive attention as one of renewable energy, and world-wide researches about wind power are being carried out. In the wind power system, tower structure plays an important roles for continuous and stable generation of electricity. Researchers use various analytical models to research and develop about tower structures. In this study, the effects of natural frequencies of various wind turbine tower models have been analyzed. It is possible to simplify the detailed parts of models by using modified tower unit weight since the results of 1st natural frequency show that the difference is only 0.14%. Since the difference in natural frequency is greater than 10%, according to the boundary condition, the simple fix end support is not appropriate to represent the real structure of the tower. It is expected that the result of this study may be utilized to establish the criterion about appropriate modelling method.
Bond Slip Relationship between GFRP Plank and Cast-in-place High Strength Concrete

Recently it has been actively studied that the use of hybrid GFRP-concrete structure with dual purpose of both a permanent forwork and main tensile reinforcement of GFRP plank. In applying general analysis and design technique to evaluate the performance of hybrid structures with cast-in-place high strength concrete and GFRP plank, it is essential that the characteristics of the bond slip model is identified. In this study a simplified bilinear bond slip model for hybrid structure with GFRP plank and cast-in-place high strength concrete is proposed. Maximum average bond stress of simple bond slip relationship that has been proposed in this study is 3.29MPa, initial slope is 35.66MPa/mm, the total slip is 0.23mm and interfacial fracture energy is 0.37kN/m.
Spatio-temporal Distributions of Phytoplankton Community in the Coastal Waters of Gogunsan Islands(CoWGIs), West Sea of Korea

This study examined the spatio-temporal distributions of the phytoplankton community in the coastal waters of Gogunsan Islands (CoWGIs), West Sea of Korea, from January to September 2011. A total of 104 species of phytoplankton belonging to 56 genera were identified. This was low compared to the surrounding seas of the West Sea. In particular, diatoms and dinoflagellates comprised 60.5% and 34.6%, respectively, and it was most diverse in autumn. The standing crops fluctuated from
. This was high in winter and summer and low in spring and autumn. The seasonal dominant species were Skeletonema costatum-like species, Thalassiosira nordenskioeldii, Dactyliosolen fragillisimus, and Chaetoceros debilis in winter, Guinardia delicatula in spring, Eucampia zodiacus, Cylindrotheca closterium, Ch. debilis, and Ch. curvisetus in summer, and S. costatum-like species, Ch. debilis, Ch. curvisetus, G. delicatula, and Leptocylindrus danicus in autumn. The total number of autochthonous and tychopelagic species was 39 species. This showed a 1/3 (33.3%) decrease compared to the 1980's. The chlorophyll a concentration fluctuated from

The bio-oceanographic characteristics of the CoWGIs based on principle component analysis (PCA) showed that it was dominated by the Saemangeum water mass in the high temperature season and by the Geum River water mass in the low temperature season. In other words, there has been a conversion to a closed inner bay followed by the dramatic progress of eutrophication, even in the CoWGIs after completion of the Saemangeum embankment.
Control of scale formation using high voltage impulse

The aim of this study was to evaluate the feasibility of application of the high voltage impulse (HVI) technique to the control of scale formation by calcium carbonate, which is pointed out as an important issue in industrial water treatment. The HVI system consisted of the power supply, high voltage generator, capacitors, switch and impulse generator was designed and made in laboratory scale, which can make 17kV impulse. HVI was introduced to the reactor that was filled with synthetic water containing
ion. The concentration of calcium ion decreased only 3.0% after 5 minutes of contact time. However, it decreased up to 13.7% after 60 minutes of HVI contact time. Temperature and pH increased but conductivity decreased due to precipitation of the calcium carbonate. Although the decrease in concentration of calcium ion was not sufficient, it was verified that the HVI technique could be applicable for the softening and desalting processes.
Studies on solid inflammable lubricants for refractory slates

In order to produce an optimal performance solid lubricant used in the refractory slates, various compositions of starch, graphite and water were evaluated by testing their viscosity, coefficient of friction and wear performance. At 15% starch content, the degree of viscosity increment rose in proportional to graphite content and the lowest coefficient of friction was observed when the graphite content was at 30 wt%. Our results demonstrate that, as the water content decrease, the ratio of solid content increases, which compromises the surface coating resulting in increase of coefficient of friction. The best wear test result was obtained when the starch content was at 15 wt% with graphite content at either 25 wt% or 30 wt%.
Effect of operating condition of electro-coagulation on the membrane filtration resistances of activated sludge

MBR (Membrane Bio-Reactor) process is known to consume enormous energy to control membrane fouling. To solve this problem, electro-coagulation technique has been applied to MBR. A series of electro-coagulation was applied to activated sludge suspension under different current density condition. After the electro-coagulations, membrane filtration of the activated sludge suspensions was conducted to investigate the effect of electro-coagulation on the fouling. As current density increased 10 to 40A/m2, the total fouling resistance (Rc+Rf) decreased from 18 to 79%, showing that the electro-coagulation improved the membrane filtration efficiency. Both the organic concentration in bulk and the particles size distribution were not nearly changed before and after the electro-coagulation. The enhanced filtration efficiency might be due to the aluminum hydroxide generated from chemical precipitation, which can be acted as a dynamic membrane preventing a deposition of foulants on membrane surfaces.
Optimal coagulant and its dosage for turbidity and total organic dissolved carbon removal

Three coagulants, alum sulfate(alum), poly aluminum chloride(PAC) and poly aluminum silicate chloride (PASC), were used to remove low to high turbidity and TOC in surface and ground blended water. Laboratory experiments and pilot plant experiments were carried out to evaluate the optimal coagulant and its dosage. To determine the optimized coagulant and its dosage, the turbidity, TOC and pH were measured. The experimental results showed the best removal performance using PASC. The optimal dosage of PASC between 3-20 NTU was found to be 15 mg/L in the jar test. In the pilot test, a 15 mg/L PASC dosage was applied and resulted in the efficient removal of turbidity and TOC between 3.6-27 NTU. The removal efficiency of PASC increased with increasing turbidity and TOC.
