Curriculum Integration of Communication Simulation to Community Health Nursing Course for Nursing Students: Pilot Study

The purpose of this study was to develop a communication simulation and evaluate its applicability of curriculum of community health nursing for nursing students. This study used one- group pretest-posttest design and participants were 35 junior nursing students. Data was collected through self-reported questionnaires of communicative competence and satisfaction and analyzed using paired-t test and descriptive statistics. There was no change of overall mean score of communicative competence, though the simulation program related to communication of community health nurses was developed and the score of satisfaction after the simulation was 4.4 out of 5. In the categories of communicative competence, the score of role competence was increased after simulation(p<.001) but interpretive competence was decreased(p=.029). And others were not significant changes. As these results, the developed simulation program was applicable to community health nursing course, but further consideration is needed about strategies of simulation to increase communicative competence.
A study on automation of modal analysis of a spindle system of machine tools using ANSYS

An analytical model was developed in this study and then implemented into a tool for automation of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) of a spindle system for natural frequencies and modes in the universal FEA software, ANSYS. VBA of EXCEL was used for the implementation. It allowed graphic user interfaces (GUIs) to be developed for a user to interact with the tool and, in addition, an EXCEL spreadsheet to be used for data arrangement. A code was developed in the language of ANSYS to generate the geometric model of the spindle system, sequentially to construct the analytical model based on the information in the GUIs, and finally to perform computation for the FEA. Its automation of the model generation and analysis can help to identify a near optimal design of the spindle system under design in minimum time and efforts.
Experimental Investigation on the Performance of Small-Sized Dehumidification Rotor for Residential Use

In Korea, summer is hot and humid, and air-conditioners consume too much electricity due to large amount of latent heat. Simultaneous usage of dehumidifier may reduce the latent heat and save the electricity. In this study, dehumidification performance was measured in a constant temperature and humidity chamber for a small-sized dehumdification rotor made of inorganic fiber impregnated with metallic silicate. Variables were rotor speed, room temperature, regeneration temperature, room relative humidity and frontal velocity to the rotor. Results showed that there existed optimum rotor speed (1.0 rpm), and optimum regeneration temperature (
). Above the optimum rotor speed, incomplete regeneration is responsible for reduced dehumidification. Above the optimum regeneration temperature, increased temperature difference between regeneration and dehumidification process is responsible for reduced dehumidification. The amount of dehumidification also increases with the increase of relative humidity, dehumidification temperature and flow velocity into the rotor.
Development of a tool to automate finite element analysis of a spindle system of machine tools

A tool was developed in this research for automation of one-dimensional finite element analysis (1D FEA) for design of a machine tool spindle system composed mainly of a shaft and bearings. As it is based on object-oriented programing, it uses the objects of a CAD system. It requires minimum data to be input to define the spindle system such as shaft cross-sections and bearing stiffness. Then, it automatically generates the geometric model based on the data and then, converts it into the FE model of 1D beams and springs. The graphic user interfaces developed allow a user to interact with the tool. This tool can be applied to identification of a near optimal design of the spindle system in minimum time and efforts by automating the FEA process with numerous design changes.
An Optimization Design of the Insertion Part for Preventing the Screw Thread from Loosening

This study deals the optimization design with the simulation based design of a coil spring inserted into the lock nut for preventing the screw thread from loosening at the bolted joint when the high-strength steel bolt with the property class of 10.9 is used and the screw torque of 640 to 800 (Nm) is applied. In this study, structural analysis of assembly composed of bolt, nut and coil spring is carried out to evaluate its safety factors on the basis of the equivalent stress with commercial finite element analysis software. And the design strategy to extract the design improvement from these simulation results is established. An iterative process performed with the proposed design strategy is also proposed for improving the performance of the existing design. At the proposed procedure, the feasible design parameters using response surface method are found, and then these parameters are verified to be optimal or not by comparing with the response values and the simulation results obtained from the feasible parameters.

In this paper, the optimum RPM was suggested comparing rotor filling rate of RPM through the analysis of rotor's filling rate as studying and developing centrifugal-casting machine's method for high precision rotor in order to increase the related types of business's productivity. The result was similar to other result in industrial site, showing 99.47% of filling rate when rotational speeds are 600 rpm, so it is considered that if this result is conducted with additional research, it will be possible to plan a better process design. Trajectory Planning for Torque Minimization of Robot Manipulators Using the Lagrange Interpolation Method

This paper proposes an algorithm using Lagrange interpolation method to realize trajectory planning for torque minimization of robot manipulators. For the algorithm, position constraints of robot manipulators should be given and the stability of robot manipulators should be satisfied. In order to avoid Runge's phenomenon, we set up time interpolation points using Chebyshev interpolation points. After that, we found suitable angle which corresponds to the points and then we got trajectories of joint's angle, velocity, acceleration using Lagrange interpolation method. We selected performance index for torque consumption optimization of robot manipulator. The method went through repetitive computation process to have minimum value of the performance index by calculated trajectory. Through the process, we could get optimized trajectory to minimize torque and performance index and guarantee safety of the motion for manipulator performance.
Development of U-shaped Metal Bellows design software based on MATLAB

Bellows product is an important part in the area of plant engineering, shipbuilding and petrochemistry. For safety and durability it is necessary to consider lots of factors when designing it. This research developed a U-shaped metal bellows design software based on EJMA 9th Edition manual. This GUI software was developed by using Matlab software and can be able to design four types of bellows, Unreinforced Single Bellows, Unreinforced Double Bellows, Reinforced Single Bellows and Reinforced Double Bellows. The already proven bellows model was designed to verify this software. We investigated the behavior while changing the thickness of the bellows. As the thickness of bellows increases, spring rate, thrust force, stress increase and fatigue life decreases. This software will be helpful design engineers save time and effort.
A Study for the Screen Door System Driving Stiffness of Motor Control Method

In the beginning run, urban railway had been required as transportation. But now days urban railway have stayed in the platform for long time, the platform is faced the problem that is improvement of environment as one of the living space. Thus, sliding automatic door on the basis of screen door have used in huge distribution market, hospital, restaurant and public office because it is comfortable that customer's convenience and entrance are controled. So screen door not only requires customer's convenience and safe, clean area and energy conservation but demands optimal design technology development of screen door system that is confirmed by element parts of design and confidence. In this paper, For secure confidence of screen door, after as modeling roller and frame's system, confirming the result for qualification of driving stiffness. And then it suggests that it is possible to increase performance and declines fraction defective of element's part.
The study on corrosion of the inner area of closed box-girder for unpainted weathering steel bridges

Weather proof steels are used for steel bridges due to its high corrosion resistance under atmospheric conditions. However, instead of forming stabilized rust layers, general rust occurs on weather proof steels under high humidity condition close to seawater or shady places. In Japan, therefore, they perform rust stabilization treatment instead of unpainted treatment due to severe atmospheric conditions. However, most of domestic weather proof steels were constructed unpainted in the form of closed box-girder, which makes the periodical repetition of dry and wet hard to occur. For the steel bridges constructed on the Han river, the evaporation of water, dew condensation due to temperature change, and stagnant water due to rain affect harmfully on the formation of passive film on weather proof steels. Thus, in this research, in order to analyze corrosion properties inside the closed box-girder for the unpainted weather proof steel bridge in the waterworks safety zone, multiple ways of analysis such as observation with eyes, cellophane-tape test, steel thickness measurement, surface corrosion potential measurement, electron microscope analysis, and X-ray diffraction analysis of the rust were performed. As a result, unstable rust layer was observed inside the closed box-girder, and severe corrosion was observed on the top and bottom of the flanges due to the effects of stagnant water caused by rain, dew condensation, and de-icing materials.
Statistical Life Prediction of Corroded Pipeline Using Bayesian Inference

Pipelines are used by large heavy industries to deliver various types of fluids. Since this is important to maintain the performance of large systems, it is necessary to accurately predict remaining life of the corroded pipeline. However, predicting the remaining life is difficult due to uncertainties in the associated variables, such as geometries, material properties, corrosion rate, etc. In this paper, a statistical method for predicting corrosion remaining life is proposed using Bayesian inference. To accomplish this, pipeline failure probability was calculated using prior information about pipeline failure pressure according to elapsed time, and the given experimental data based on Bayes' rule. The corrosion remaining life was calculated as the elapsed time with 10 % failure probability. Using 10 and 50 samples generated from random variables affecting the corrosion of the pipe, the pipeline failure probability was estimated, after which the estimated remaining useful life was compared with the assumed true remaining useful life.

Wet Surface Air-Side Performance of Fin-and-Tube Heat Exchangers Having Sine Wave Fins and Oval Tubes

Experiments were conducted on sine wave fin-and-tube heat exchangers having oval tubes under wet condition. Oval tubes having an aspect ratio of 0.6 were made, by deforming 12.7mm round tubes. Twelve samples, having different fin pitch and tube row, were tested. Results showed that, for oval tube samples, the effect of fin pitch on j and f factor was not significant. As for the effect of tube row, the lowest j factor was obtained for one row configuration(81% of two row configuration), which is clear contrast to round tube samples, where the highest j factor was obtained for one row configuration. Possible reasoning is provided considering the flow and heat transfer characteristics of sine wave channel combined with connecting oval tubes. Comparison of
with plain fin-and-tube heat exchanger having 15.9mm O.D. round tube reveals that present oval fin-and-tube heat exchanger shows superior thermal performance except for one row configuration. In other words,
of the two row oval tube heat exchanger was 1.6~2.5 times larger than those of round tube heat exchanger, 1.4~2.4 times larger for three row configuration and 1.2~2.8 times for four row configuration.
A Study on the Stress Analysis of Oil Hydraulic Piston Pump with a Swash Plate Type

In an oil hydraulic piston pump, the cylinder block and valve plate in high speed relative sliding motion have the characteristics which should be extremely controlled for the optimization of leakage and friction losses, and pressure-resistance design of them is very important for high pressure performance. But the studies on the stress analysis of those parts have not been performed briskly. Therefore, in this paper, the stress and displacement distributions of the cylinder block and valve plate in the oil hydraulic piston pump with a swash plate type are discussed through the static stress analysis using CATIA V5. The stress and displacement of the cylinder block are more influenced by the axial pressure than by the radial pressure, and are larger by approximately 66% and 30%, respectively. The results show that a review of the material and shape of the valve plate is required.
A Study on the Wearing Analysis of Insert Tip and Chip's Shape in Turning Operations

In order to achieve high flexibility in manufacture, analysis of chip's shape is one of the most important problems. This paper describes the change of machining characteristics in workpiece materials depending on turning clearance angle. The experiments start from choosing three workpiece materials that are SM45C(machine structural carbon steel), STS303(stainless steel), SCM415 (chrome-molybdenum steel). Then, the experiments show specifically how features of selected materials changed when they were processed with diverse machining depths and with feed rate starting from fixed rotational speed. Especially, the experiments were also analyzed in chip's shape and wear of insert tip. In conclusion, these experiments show that chip's shape was changed by quality of the materials, depth of cut, and conveying speed. When machining feedrate and machining depth were 0.10mm/rev and 0.3mm respectively, workpiece materials showed the best shapes, not categorizing quality of the materials and machining characteristics.
BSR Test method for Vehicle Seat using Excitation and Operation Durability Test

BSR noise from automobiles is largely issued in recent as an emotional quality. This study describes the two test methods for determining BSR noise occurred in automotive seat system. First, the sine sweep test is found to be an effective excitation method for determining BSR noise with high frequency. Second, BSR operation test is introduced in such a way that BSR noise during operation of seat height system is measured by several accelerometer at each 800 cycles until 6400 cycles. The periodic noise signal is captured during one cycle after many cycles of operation. Two test method presented in this paper can be analyzed more efficiently BSR noise of the seat.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the effects of Human Resources Development by type and strategy, and to review the importance of Human resources Development in the knowledge-based society in a comprehensive way. In particular, the paper reviews the tourism industry, one of the typical service industry, for which the utilization of the Human Resources is crucial. and it presents a specific direction policy of Human Resources Development in the field. An analysis was performed for each area of Human Resources Development inputs and output factors which lead to achieve the purpose of the study was to review the characteristics of the Human Resources Development area. After reviewing, the tourism industry was differentiated according to type of strategy development areas through a statistical approach to the input and output elements around. In this study, along with the estabilishment of a Human Resources development strategy bases on the nature and purpose of differentiation with future Human resource Development in each region showed that the operations of the business need.
Effects of Teacher Creative Instructional Behavior, Role-Performance, and Teacher-Student Interaction on Problem Solving Abilities for Middle School Students

This study is a professor of creative behavior and roles of teachers and teacher-student interactions between was conducted to analyze the impact on the problem solving skills of middle school students. Study, professor of creative actions and roles of teachers showed significant influence on middle school students in problem-solving skills, teacher-student was found that a significant effect on the interaction between. In addition, teacher-student interaction was found between the effects of a significant effect on middle school students problem-solving skills, creative roles of teachers and professors behavior was confirmed that a significant mediating effect among middle school students in problem-solving skills. The results of this study performed a professor of creative behavior and the role of teachers and teacher-student liver and suggest to improve the interaction education and training programs are needed, that can help in problem-solving skills and theoretical training of junior high school as a practical implication offers a number of implications for school education.
Study on Influential Factors in Relation to Multicultural Acceptance : Focused on mediating effects of multicultual education

The number of emigrants along with globalization and internationalization is rapidly increasing. The international migration is creating a new form of acculturation and a new structure of society. Racial or cultural diversity resulting from political, economical, and cultural exchange is drastically increasing. This study aimed to provide policy plans or basic data to improve multicultural acceptability in the future. Accordingly, it was also to set and verify causal effect of multicultural acceptability. For those purposes, a questionnaire was made up based on the literature about acculturation, and a survey was taken in korean. The results are as follows. Dependant variables used in analysis were sub-factors of multicultural acceptability founding three types called 'The Actual Acceptance', 'The Active Acceptance', 'The Passive Acceptance'. It was found that positive effect in multicultural acceptability through media experience was an important factor to reduce discriminant of multicultural community members. Therefore, we need to produce diverse media programs that can improve multicultural acceptability and reduce negative perception of multicultural community members. Additionally, multiculture education to help understanding of other races and other cultures should be developed as subject courses in university.
The Relationship between Self-Efficacy and College Life Satisfaction: Moderating Effect of Leisure Sport Participation Level

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among self-efficacy, college life satisfaction and leisure sport participation level. A total of 259 university students participating in leisure sport from G and D city were analyzed. By using t-test, ANOVA(Analysis of variance), Confirmatory Factor Analysis(CFA) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 20.0 statistics program, this study found the followings. First, there was a moderating effect of leisure sport participation level on the relationship between self-efficacy and college life satisfaction. Second, self-efficacy had a positive influence on college life satisfaction.
The Effects of Forest Experience Activities for Developing a Moral Sense on Moral Development of Children

This study is intended to look into the effects of forest experience activities for developing a moral sense on moral development of children. To achieve this, forest experience activities were performed to 40 5-year-old children from H kindergarten in Chungnam area through April 7 to July 25, 2014. They were classified into an experimental group(9 male children and 11 female children) and a control group(9 male children and 11 female children). Forest experience activities and Nuri curriculum-related forest experience activities were performed to the experimental group and the control group 10 times, respectively. The results were as follows. First, forest activity education had an effect on improving children's moral judgment. Second, moral behaviors showed that the experimental group improved in order, courtesy and moderation, which forest experience activities had a significant effect on improvement in their moral behaviors. As stated above, children's forest activities will valuable education to enhance moral development that identifies the preciousness of life through communion and interaction with nature along with peers, and order, manners and self-control by joint cooperative activities between peers.

This study was performed in order to contributing the conflict factors which largely affects the efficient promotion of Urban Rehabilitation Project. then, it aims to induce conflict factors which affect the business period and business expense through PLS Regression Analysis. The data was build up from union members, tenants and merchants who are living in the completed urban rehabilitation area. In the case of 'Business period', it shows the priority on conflict factors in this order such as the 'Approval and Authorization for union establishment', 'Approval and Plan for business enforcement' and 'Interruption of interest group related to service business such as business delay'. In addition, In the case of 'Business expenses', it shows the priority on conflict factors in this order such as the 'Approval and Authorization for union establishment', 'Selling contract', 'Report of Demolition and Loss' and 'Plan and Authorization of Management disposition'.
Research on the Difference of Anti-Stress by Classification of Puberty Development Index

This study was to examine the difference of Anti-Stress Quotient of pre-puberty, puberty, and post-puberty time. pre-pubescent students 28 and pubescent students, 35 classified by questionnaires from elementary and middle school students located in the Y city were participated in this research. post-pubescent students 33 were sampled from college students' data collected by Braintech Corp. And analyzed by brainwaves, which could be obtained through QEEG BQ(Brain Quotient) Analysis. The result of this study is as follow: post-puberty time was increased Anti-Stress Quotient due to the decrease of the Body Stress and the Mental Stress. It means that the psychological characteristics of puberty time can be proven by not only method of questionnaires but also scientific brainwaves.

This research was executed to develop a consultation program for female victims of domestic violence in the past and appraise its effectiveness. For the research, we selected 30 persons for an experimental group and a control group respectively, and practiced frequency analysis, reliability analysis, homogeneity check and T-test of independent sample by using SPSS 20.0 for Windows. The result of analysis is as follows. First, it was probed that the consultation program had the effect to improve the self-esteem of female victims of domestic violence, and reduce depression levels and anxiety. Second, it appeared that consultation program improved the psychological and social adaptation of female victims of domestic violence positively and cast an affirmative effect on the satisfaction of communication of subdivision and conflict-coping method. Therefore, it app[eared that this program had a close relation with the attitude etc. to solve the issues of interpersonal relations and communication of female victims of domestic violence. That is, it was verified that the program had the effect in that they escaped from the sequela of abuse and adapted themselves to mental society.
The Effects of Sports Game Outcomes on Spectators' Ad Recall and the Moderating Role of Suspense

This study investigated the effects of sports game outcomes on spectators' Ad recall, and the sports game induced suspense was also investigated for its moderating effects between the variables. On the day after the 2012 London Olympic soccer games, university students (N=257) from the Busan area completed questionnaires and MANOVA was utilized for data analysis. Results of this study revealed that outcome of sports game have significant effects on recall of both brand name and contents which aired during a halftime break. In addition, significant moderating effects of sports game induced suspense were found on brand name and contents recall. Based on the results, some suggestions for marketing practitioners are discussed and future research directions are outlined.
Judo Leader Leadership Influence on The Player Satisfaction and Performance

This study of the data of the high school judo player is subject to induction leader leadership athletes to analyze the impact on the player satisfaction and performance - a man of 290 people 121 people (41.7%), female 169 people (58.3%) was used as a target sample of the study. Behavioral training and instruction to improve player satisfaction for the leadership of the induction leadership, democratic behavior, social support behavior, reward positive behaviors, and configure the survey on the leaders of the overall leadership behavior. The results showed that leadership is influencing the player satisfaction, appeared to reap good results in performance enhancement, the leader of the social support behavior, influenced by the order of the overall behavior of the leader, the higher the better player satisfaction will reap the results. In addition, the director of leadership training and instruction of the leaders in the impact on the play ability behavior, democratic behavior, social support act, the overall behavior was found to affect the performances. Therefore, if the progress is erected lead dozens of leaders exercise planning and career planning under an agreement rather than a coercive players and make a lot of good results to enhance the player experience and improve performances.
The Short-term Longitudinal Effect of Pre-service Teacher Education Program for Children's Creativity

The aim of this study was to examine the longitudinal effect of Pre-service Teacher Education Program for Children's Creativity. The participants of this study were 67 pre-service teachers in Seoul, Kyungggi-do, and Chungcheong-do, Korea. Thirty-six pre-service teachers were assigned to the control group and pre-service teachers were assigned to the experimental group. Pre-service teacher's creativity was measured in three times. TTCT was applied to measure pre-service teacher's creativity and their children's creativity. Multivariate Latent Growth Model was applied to verify the effect of the program on pre-service teacher's creativity. Also, Multiple Regression was used to examine the effect of the program on their children's creativity. As a result, the participation of the program was longitudinally effective on not only pre-service teacher's creativity development but also their children's creativity. The results of current study suggested that it is necessary to help the pre-service teachers foster their creativity in early childhood teacher preparation program.

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of a re-employment education to job-seeking anxiety, job-seeking stress and Career belief in an effort to prove the effectiveness of re-employment education. The subjects in this study were 67 believer who were users of G church in the city of K. A re-employment education was conducted in fourteen sessions, once a week. The major findings of the study were as follows: First, the experimental group who participated in the re-employment education felt less job-seeking anxiety. Second, the experimental group who participated in the re-employment education felt less job-seeking stress. Third, the experimental group who participated in the re-employment education showed improvement in Career belief.
The Effect on Employment of Employment Preparation Activities in College Graduates

This study aims to find out the employment effectiveness of employment preparation activities that college students experience, especially focused on analyzing employment effects of college employment-related activities such as career choice and employment support program, along with individual preparation activities such as qualification, vocational training, etc. It performed binary logistic regression analysis using 2011 Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey data of 3,249 college graduates. The results showed that In college characteristics, the higher grade point average was and the more college was located in non-metropolitan area, the higher employment probability was. In the case of major field, Medicine, Education, Engineering, Social Science, Natural science in highest first order had employment probability higher than the reference group. The results showed that the number of qualification, interview skill & resume description skill program participation, and job search experience before and after graduation among employment preparation activities had an effect on employment. The rest, that is, vocational training, career employment curriculum, work experience program, career counseling program, employment camp, in-school job experience, employment goal status before graduation did not have an direct effect on employment.
A Study of the Effect of Entrepreneurial Education on Entrepreneurial Motivation: Focused on Mediating Effect of Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurial education for university students furnishes necessary knowledges and fosters competences of potential entrepreneurs and help them change their attitudes toward start-up of a new business. This study examines how entrepreneurial education affects promoting entrepreneurship and stimulating entrepreneurial motivation of university students. Testing mediating of entrepreneurship between entrepreneurial education and motivation is another aim of this study. Regression analysis was used to examine each hypothesis of the study. Following refers to summary of the findings of the study; at first, entrepreneurial education affects entrepreneurial motivation of university students positively. Secondly, entrepreneurial education influences promoting entrepreneurship of students. Thirdly, entrepreneurship has a positive effect on entrepreneurial motivation significantly. Lastly, entrepreneurship plays a mediating role between entrepreneurial education and motivation of students. Both theoretical and practical implication were provided based on the findings of the study.
Future Directions for Education of Social Welfare Administration: Training Students as Managers in Social Service Agencies

The purpose of this study is to identify increasing needs for training students as managers in social service agencies and to suggest ways to develop the education of social welfare administration. Agency evaluations and performance management has increased demands for effectiveness and accountability of social service agencies, which also has increased the roles of managers in social service agencies. Using 'Korean Social Worker Survey' conducted by Korean Association of Social Workers, this study examines job characteristics of 2,479 social workers. The results show that administration/management activities take about 40% of social workers' daily activities. Community organization, human resource management, and planning/financial management are regarded as more important and difficult than other tasks. However, sufficient education for preparing students as social service managers is not provided in undergraduate and graduate level of college education. In addition, social workers make their life long careers as managers. Thus, the education of social welfare administration needs to refocus on the provision of knowledge and skills required for competent social service managers. This study suggests future directions for developing education of social welfare administration in undergraduate and graduate level of college education including field practice.
Evaluation of shear bond strength between metal core fabricated by 3D printing and dental porcelain

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the shear bond strength between metal core fabricated by 3D printing and dental porcelain. Thirty metal cores were fabricated(cast 15ea, 3D printing 15ea). The porcelain for each group was builded to the metal core. Sample was loaded to shear force(crosshead speed 1mm/min) in a universal material testing machine. The fracture samples were analyzed failure aspect. The means were statistical analyzed using by Mann-whitney test(

This study was conducted to describe the relationship of Communication Skill, Communication Self-Efficacy and Communication Related Educational Needs of nursing students. The participants were 206 nursing students in K City who were surveyed using self report questionnaires and the data was analyzed using SPSS 20.0. 83.5% of nursing students answered communication related education was necessary and they preferred practice centered communication education through role-play. And there was a significant positive correlation between Communication Skill and Communication Self-Efficacy. The results of this study provided a foundation to develop efficient communication program to improve interpersonal relationship of nursing students.

The aim of this research was microbiological hazard analysis which is required to application of HACCP(Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) system to chili powder. A processing had been conducted in Yong-Geum Agricultural Production located in Dongnyang-myeon, Chungju-si between January 10, 2014 to June 13, 2014. Relationship Among the Health State, Daily Living Activities (ADL, IADL), Sleep State, and Depression Among Old People at Elderly Care Facilities

The purpose of this study was to investigate relationship among the depression, physical condition, daily living activities, and sleep state among old people at elderly care facilities. The subjects include old people aged 65 or older residing at an elderly care facility. At elderly care facilities, the depression of old people was related with the state of vision, mastication ability, quality of sleep, and sleep state. The degree of relation was high in the group with a poor vision, the one with a bad condition of teeth, the one that considered their quality of sleep to be poor, and the one with somnipathy. Their depression had negative correlations with age and positive ones with mastication ability and assessment of quality of sleep. At elderly care facilities, the depression of old people was highly connected with the state of vision, mastication ability, sleep state, and hearing ability. In short, the depression of old people at elderly care facilities is highly connected to the health state perceived individually. The findings point to the importance of close interest in individual health state and management of old people in poor vision, mastication ability in healthcare and nursing intervention.
Effect of Stroke Prevention Program for The Elderly in The Rural Area

The goal of this study was to examine how effective stroke prevention program is for body mass index, blood pressure, blood glucose, and serum lipids of the elderly in the rural areas. The stroke prevention program included health care education, nutrition guidance and exercise. The program was provided for 12 weeks(36 sessions) from May to August, 2014. Participants were 55 elderly people in the rural areas; 28 people in the experimental group and 27 in the control group. The results of before and after the experiment showed that body mass index(p<.001), TC(p<.001), TG(p=.047), and LDL(p=.010) were significantly better in the experimental group compared to the control group. Also, after the program, the figures of body mass index, fasting blood glucose, TC, TG, and HDL in the control group were decreased, while those of LDL were increased. Study findings indicate that the stroke prevention program is effective and can be recommended as a precaution against the stroke of the elderly in the rural area by preventing risk factors beforehand.
Related Factors on the Blood Donation Experience among Healthcare Provider in a General Hospital

The purpose of this study was to examine knowledge, attitude, and altruism on blood donation and influential factors in regard to its experience. Data were collected through questionnaires with a convenience sample of 311 healthcare providers. Subjects with blood donation experience accounted for 63.3%. In both nurses and laboratory technologist, the rate of blood donation in male group has higher than that of female group. There were differences in the knowledge of blood donation dependent upon the type of occupation of healthcare providers and the higher age and the longer period of career experience proved to be the significant factor for the level of altruism. The study suggests that more practical, concrete strategies should be identified to participate in blood donation. The further relevant variables need to be investigated since the most determinant motivator for blood donation among healthcare providers was the responsibility to help others.

This study was to identify the effects of supportive nursing intervention using video-program of operating room nurses before operation on laparoscopic hysterectomy patient's anxiety. This study was nonequivalent control group pre-post test design. The data were collected from May 1 to Jun 20, 2013 and analyzed by
, Fisher's exact test and t-test using SPSS 20.0 program. Experimental group(who received supportive nursing intervention) and control group(who received booklet education) was respectively consisted of 25 patients who were laparoscopy hysterectomy. The anxiety(p=.002) of experimental group was significantly lower than control group. The systolic(p=.012) and diastolic(p=.045) pressure of experimental group was significantly lower than control group, but pulse wasn't. The supportive nursing intervention for preoperative patient is considered effective and useful in reducing anxiety. Further research is warranted to investigate the supportive nursing intervention long-term effect.
Effect of Cooperative Learning Applying Jigsaw Model in Simulation-Based Infection Control Education on Perception of Infection Control, Intrinsic Motive and Learning Satisfaction

This study has the purpose to evaluate the effects of cooperative learning applying Jigsaw model in simulation based infection control education by comparing perception of infection control, intrinsic motive and learning satisfaction, 54 first-year health related students. It is composed of 27 students of the experimental group and 27 students of the control group. In order to evaluate the homogeneity between the two groups, it surveyed in advance perception of infection control, intrinsic motive and learning satisfaction. There was no significant difference between the two groups, The education program composed cooperative learning applying Jigsaw Model, simulation practice and debriefing to the experimental group was performed twice for 2 weeks and lecture and skill training, simulation practice and debriefing were performed to the control group. After two-week education, perception of infection control, intrinsic motive and learning satisfaction of the participants the research were surveyed. As a result of this study, the Jigsow Model indicated the perception of infection control and learning satisfaction experimental group was significantly high in statistic. Based on this research result, I suggests that utilization of cooperative learning applying the Jigsaw Model as a strategy to improve the scholatic achievement and learning satisfaction of students in the variable simulation based education.
Comparative Analysis of Stomach Cancer Stages and Related Factors according to the Diagnosis Path

The purpose of this study is to compare the difference between stomach cancer stages and related factors according to the diagnosis path. The self-administered questionnaire was filled out by 375 inpatients with primary stomach cancers who had been scheduled at Chungnam National University Hospital were targeted for the survey during the period from August 1st 2010 to March 31st 2013. Rogistic regression model were estimated to identify related factors between Medical checkups group and symptom group. As a results, the study suggests that early checkups is important because ratio of early stomach cancer is higher in Medical checkups group than in symptom group(p=0.001). And if there was a symptom at diagnosis of stomach cancer, stomach cancer stage appeared to have a strong possibility(p=0.001). If cancer screening has been widely implemented and supported by a large scale prospective studies will be possible even in the most appropriate tests and interval estimation for the country.
The development of a web-based database system for managing program learning outcomes in a nursing school

The purpose of this study is to develop a web-based database system to manage effectively data collected to evaluate program learning outcomes (PO) in a nursing school. The database management system (DBMS) was developed using a software development life cycle method: Analysis, Design, Implementation, and Evaluation. The demands for the content and system of users were collected. The system structure, database using an entity-relationship modeling, and user interface were designed based on the demands. The designed DBMS was created using GWT, Java and Apache HTTP server. The expert group and users evaluated the implemented DBMS. Problems derived from them were modified. The average of end-user computing satisfaction evaluated by 8 nursing faculty and 5 teaching assistants was 4.14 (SD =.44). The web-based PO DBMS makes it possible for nursing faculty members to access and use much of the information needed for analysis and decision-making.
Depression Symptoms and its Related Factors among the Elderly People Affiliated with Long-term Care Insurance Services in Urban Areas

This study was performed to determine the levels of depression(CES-D) and its related factors among the elderly people affiliated with long-term care insurance services in urban areas. The interviews were performed, during the period from March 1st, to May 31th, 2012, to 388 elderlies. As a result, the levels of depression among all subjects were 21.6% of normal group, and 78.4% of depression group. The distribution of depression according to the grade of long-term care insurance were 83.6% in Grade I, 82.1% in Grade II and 67.0% in Grade III, and the level of distribution were significantly higher according to the higher grade of long-term care insurance. For the results of multiple logistic regression analysis, the odds ratio was increased in older age group, in the poor health status group, and in the group of seldom in activity of hobbies than their counterparts, but it was decreased in the higher monthly income group than lower group. Above results suggested that the depression was significantly related with the variables such as sociodemographic characteristics, economic status, health related factors and health status.
The Effect of Self-esteem on Resilience and the Mediating Effect of School Satisfaction : A First Year Female Students in High School

This study aims to identify the mediating effect of school satisfaction in the effect of self-esteem on resilience, and to examine the relationship between brain function quotient and resilience. In this descriptive study, questionnaires and brainwaves were collected from 145 female high school students in Seoul from November 22 to December 23, 2012. Data were analyzed by Pearson's correlation coefficient and three-step mediated regression analysis using SPSS 21.0. Among brain function quotients, stress resistance quotient were highly correlated with resilience, and both attention and brain quotient were significantly correlated with resilience. Moreover, school satisfaction showed the mediating effect in the effect of self-esteem on resilience. The findings suggest that brain function quotient, in specific, stress resistance quotient, should be considered in studies regarding resilience. Furthermore, predictor variables of resilience such as self-esteem and school satisfaction should be considered for preventive and therapeutic intervention to reduce various maladaptive problems in adolescents.
ICU nurses' ethical attitudes about DNR

This research aims to provide basic materials for assisting DNR patient cares by understanding ICU nurses' awareness and ethical attitude regarding DNR. A total of 154 results were analyzed which were collected from Aug. 1st to Sep. 5th in 2014 by surveying nurses working in ICU (from 1 advanced general hospital in G metropolitan city and other general hospitals of more than 700 beds in Cheolla provinces). (1) For the decision attitudes of DNR, there were both consent and objection. Consent for the patient's opinion of rejecting further treatment and life extension despite of bad prognosis. And objection for no conducting DNR in the case of the patient's wish, treatment requested by the guardian, and CPR for the patient who has no chance. (2) Objection for artificial respirator and other treatment requested by the patient's family and the entrance of guardians into ICU. Consent for the passive use of artificial respirator by the doctor and the decrease of basic care to stabilize patients physically and mentally. No specific opinion for treatment not following aseptic techniques. Objection for frequent reports to primary care physician requested by the family. (3) Acknowledging less interest by the doctor, while supporting the health care team in the case of the guardian's complaint, objection for the DNR decision mede by the primary care physician. Objection for the DNR decision by the guideline. Objection or neutrality for straightforward explanation to the patient of bad prognosis. Objection for straightforward explanation of the patient's status (even near to death) to the patient him/herself or the guardian. In conclusion, the subject of DNR is the patient and the patient's opinion should be fully reflected. The conflict arising from the scope of medical practice and decision processes should be minimized. The standard and guideline for DNR decision is required for the ethical decision making for the patient along with agreements based on full explanations.
The Effects of Menopause on the Metabolic Syndrome in Korean Women

This study was the secondary analysis using the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey of 2012 and purpose was to investigate the effects of menopause on the metabolic syndrome(MetS) in Korean women. In raw data, total 2,746 women aged
years and provided the correct data about menstruation and menopause were analysed. The results were as follows: First, components of MetS were significantly different according to menopausal status. Second, the prevalence of MetS was 13.2% in premenopausal women and 42.7% in postmenopausal women. Third, the Odds ratio of postmenopausal women was 4.88(95% CI=3.888-6.126) compared with premenopausal women for MetS. As 5 years from 40 years increased, the Odds ratios of postmenopausal women were 3.15(95% Confidence Interval=1.862-5.331), 4.159(2.558-6.761), 5.971(3.955-9.016), 9.52(6.591-13.749) compared with premenopausal women for MetS, respectively. Based on the results, the intervention should be developed and provided for preventing and managing the MetS in postmenopausal women.

This study aimed to investigate the determinants of patients satisfaction and intent to revisit oriental medical hospitals. The level of overall patient satisfaction was used as an intervening variable and the level of intent to revisit was used as a dependent variable. The sample used in this study consisted of 578 patients from 3 oriental medical hospitals located in Chungnam Province. Data were collected from October 2014 to December 2014 with a structured and self-administrated questionnaire and analysed using path analysis. The results of the study indicate that oriental medical hospitals should make an effort to improve the overall satisfaction of patients, in the case of outpatient, especially focusing on the doctors' service and medical procedure, and in the case of inpatient, especially focusing on the facilities convenience, medical price and hospital ward life which will lead to high level of intent to revisit of patients.
Voltage Control of Power System Connected to a Wind Farm by Using STATCOM and Reactive Power Compensators

The wind power plant must be able to produce reactive power at the POI bus of a wind farm connected to power system to keep or control the voltage of POI bus. But, the reactive power capability of wind turbines may not be sufficient to control the voltage of POI bus due to the reactive power losses in connection lines between wind farm and POI bus. The solution of this problem is to install an external STATCOM. The proposed cooperative control method of STATCOM and conventional reactive power compensators such as Switched-shunt and tap changing transformer can control the voltage of POI bus more efficiently. The simulation results are shown that the voltage drop of POI Bus of Test System with the arbitrary load change rate to initial loads is improved more than 60% and the voltage of load bus is maintained more than 95% of rated voltage.

MDA/MDD which recently raising its head is technology that increase software development productivity through automatic transformation form abstract model into lower abstract model, or from model to code. but, many Lessons obtained through the case studies, the analysis suggests a limited effect measurements. In this study, efficient development methodology and utilizing a e-government framework to measure the effectiveness of the MDD to the new measures through a case study applied to real information system development process. GPGPU (General Purpose GPU) programming platform technology when using the CUDA computing techniques to recognize and use the four cores of Intel i5 2500 with OpenMP to deal quickly and efficiently an algorithm, than the performance of existing CPU does not produce the rate of four times due to the delay of the data of the partition and merge operation proposed a method of improving the rate of speed of about 3.2 times, and the parallel processing of the video card that processes a result, the sequential operation of the process compared to CPU-based who performed the performance gain is about 21 tiems improvement in was confirmed.
Adaptive prototype generating technique for improving performance of a p-Snake

p-Snake is an energy minimizing algorithm that applies an additional prototype energy to the existing Active Contour Model and is used to extract the contour line in the area where the edge information is unclear. In this paper suggested the creation of a prototype energy field that applies a variable prototype expressed as a combination of circle and straight line primitives, and a fudge function, to improve p-Snake's contour extraction performance. The prototype was defined based on the parts codes entered and the appropriate initial contour was extracted in each primitive zones acquired from the pre-processing process. Then, the primitives variably adjusted to create the prototype and the contour probability based on the distance to the prototype was calculated through the fuzzy function to create the prototype energy field. This was applied to p-Snake to extract the contour from 100 images acquired from various small parts and compared its similarity with the prototype to find that p-Snake made with the adaptive prototype was about 4.6% more precise than the existing Snake method.
A Study of Disambiguation Method To Improve The Syntactic Analysis System

In this paper, we present a Korean syntactic analysis system which can generate all possible syntactic trees in a given sentence. Therefore, the number of syntactic trees by this syntactic analysis system can be increased exponentially. To solve this problem, we suggest a segmentation method and maximum connected unit in a segmentation. Maximum connected unit is a combined unit which contains all morphemes in a segmentation. According to the input sentence, it is possible one or more maximum connected unit in a segmentation. We extract 516 sentences to experiment randomly from the text book of Korean middle school. We could reduce about 28% of the number of syntactic trees.
Analysis and fabrication of a wearable antenna using conductive fibers

The development of efficient wearable antennas is required to implement short range body-centric wireless communication links for various internet of thing applications. We present simulation and measurement results of conductive-fiber-based wearable antennas which can comfortably fabricated directly on usual clothing materials. The proposed antenna is a form of a rectangular patch antenna designed by weaving conductive fibers on a felt substrate. A full-wave electromagnetic simulation tool is used to investigate the antenna performance such as antenna impedance, resonant frequency, and radiation efficiency. Parametric studies show that the radiation efficiency increases from 67.5% to 70.4% by widening the gap between conductive fibers from 0.25mm to 3mm. This implies a wearable antenna with good radiation efficiency can be designed despite of less portion of conductive fibers on the antenna. The simulation results are also verified by measured results with fabricated antennas.
Evaluation and Analysis of Scheduling Algorithms for Peak Power Reduction

Peak power reduction is becoming increasingly important not only for grid operators but also for residential users. The scheduling of electric loads tries to reduce the power peak by splitting the power-on period of an electric device into multiple smaller ones and by interleaving the on-periods of every device in a holistic way. This paper analyzes the performance of EDF, LSF, TCBM, and lazy scheduling algorithms and proposes the enhancement schemes. For analysis, we have implemented the scheduling policies in a simulation environment for distributed control systems. Through extensive experiments using real power traces, we discuss their performance characteristics in terms of power deviation, switch count, and temperature violation ratio. To prevent excessive switching, we propose to employ the concept of limited preemptibility and evaluate its effect on performance. It is found that the best performance is achieved when the scheduler capacity is dynamically adjusted to the actual power demand. The experiment results show that, by load scheduling, the probability of having a power deviation greater than 150W is reduced from 21.5% down to 3.2%.
Shadow Recovery for Column-based Databases

The column-oriented database storage is a very advanced model for large-volume data transactions because of its superior I/O performance. Traditional data storages exploit row-oriented storage where the attributes of a record are placed contiguously in hard disk for fast write operations. However, for search-mostly data warehouse systems, column-oriented storage has become a more proper model because of its superior read performance. Recently, solid state drive using flash memory is largely recognized as the preferred storage media for high-speed data analysis systems. In this research, we propose a new transaction recovery scheme for a column-oriented database environment which is based on a flash media file system. We improved traditional shadow paging schemes by reusing old data pages which are supposed to be invalidated in the course of writing a new data page in the flash file system environment. In order to reuse these data pages, we exploit reused shadow list structure in our column-oriented shadow recovery(CoSR) scheme. CoSR scheme minimizes the additional storage overhead for keeping shadow pages and minimizes the I/O performance degradation caused by column data compression of traditional recovery schemes. Based on the results of the performance evaluation, we conclude that CoSR outperforms the traditional schemes by 17%.

A Study on the Improvement of the Management Plan of City Master Planning as ODA Project

This study aims to find out the better management plan for city master plannning as an ODA to accomplish the economic effect. For this study, the "Hai Phong New Town Development Project" and the "Modification of Hue City's Master Plan" were studied. The result of the case study shows that there was difference between the two projects which was the status of following projects. While those two projects were highly acclaimed, only Hue project had several projects. This is because of the understanding degree on ODA project of participants, the distinct characteristics of the recipient country; Vietnamese local and central government, and the difference of each project's main purpose. And the result of FGI shows that to accomplish economic effects of master planning project as ODA, the enthusiastic approach to find out following project from the beginning step of the master planning, the experience of project manager on ODA, the close association with the recipient country, and the positive support from the Koica especially, the local office were crucial.

The purpose of this study is to draw out implications and directions for improvements on national public rental housing policy by examining SF's public rental housing policy and conditions for low income households, and analyzing 'multilateral considerations for residents and communities' and 'concrete case and policy for support' which are discovered in process of re-development of large-scale public housing revitalization. The results were as follows: First of all, HOPE SF ensures to involve resident as participant in entire project considering exist communities and resettlement of resident. Secondly, HOPE SF supported to enhance the lives of existing residents and their community through integrated support system. Thirdly, HOPE SF collaborated with various participants as partner of city's rehabilitation, thus, invite community opinion to build a sense of cohesion. And for last, HOPE SF tried to create a new financial model for sustainable and practicable rehabilitation.
Transient Ground Deformation induced by Sequential Earthquakes and Estimation of Underground Water Pipeline Performance in Canterbury, New Zealand

The spatial patterns and characteristics of these sequential earthquakes and ground motions induced by the earthquakes are examined by contours of peak ground velocity (PGV) and geometric mean peak ground velocity (GMPGV) using both ordinary kriging in geographical information system (GIS) and data, the records obtained from strong motion stations, acquired after recent sequential earthquakes in Canterbury, New Zealand (NZ). The performance of underground water pipeline system is examined by using data acquired after earthquakes. The spatial distribution of GMPGV is superimposed on water pipeline repairs throughout the water distribution system in areas affected principally by transient ground motion using GIS and then water pipeline repair rates, expressed as repairs/km, for different types of pipe are evaluated relative to the estimated GMPGV outside liquefaction areas. The earthquake performance of underground water pipeline systems is summarized in this study.
A Study on deducting evaluation items for rock cut slope using delphi survey

Evaluation items were deducted by based on literature materials to supplement the evaluation system of rock cut-slope in national road. Delphi survey of experts were conducted to review the final evaluation items. As a result of reviewing the significance through stepwise multiple linear regression, all of deducted items were statistically significant because these had lower P-value than 0.05. And It was confirmed that the items were selected appropriately as they had relatively similar levels of the weight. In consideration of CVR and reliability both suggested items and existing items, the exclusible items was selected and new items can complement existing evaluation system were added. Finally 18 rock cut-slope evaluation items was deducted.
An Analysis of the Development Potential at the Urban Regeneration Area

This study firstly finds the factors for positive development of urban regeneration cases from the point of view of a public sector, and then analyzes the development potential of Urban Regeneration Projects in Gyeonggi-do through the methodology able to measure the development potential objectively. The process to analyze the development potential is as follows. First, after finding indices through literature review, indices with redundancy and similarity are drawn by the discussion with relative experts. Second, four clusters and twelve indices are drawn by the verification of experts. Finally, criticality analysis of indices are analyzed by ANP. According to the result to apply criticality analysis of indices to urban regeneration cases, factors related to residential environment and local economy influence development potential more than those related to infrastructures and land-use.
A Study of Noise Radiation Characteristics by Rail Vibration Reduction

Rolling noise caused by the contact between the train wheels and rails is the main factor of noise generated by the operation of railway, therefore the features of rail vibration and its correlations with noise radiation should be identified. In this study, noise radiation generated from vibration were predicted by utilizing FE model with boundary element method. Noise radiation generated from vibration were predicted by utilizing FE model with boundary element method, and were compared with the measured noise in order to validate the reliability of the analysis method. In addition, the features of noise radiation according to the rail attenuation were examined in the frequency domain, and the noise radiation has been reduced by approximately 3dB(A) with additional rail damping.

Stable Channel Design for the Gravel-bed River Considering Design Constraints

Stable channel design is to determine the width, depth and slope for satisfying the condition that the upstream incoming sediment rate is equal to the sediment transport rate at the design channel. Therefore, the most sensitive variable when designing a stable channel is the selection of a sediment transport equation applied for the channel design. Especially if in the case of gravel beds the designer uses the equation developed by using the data of sand rivers, the calculation result of the stable channel section has large errors. In this study, the stable channel design has been applied to the gravel bed river using the previous stable channel design program with newly added the sediment transport equation for gravel beds; and the stable channel section considering design constraints has been produced by using the analytical method. As results, in the case of the application with the fixed width, the depth predicted by Ackers and White's equation was the shallowest and Meyer-Peter and
equation was 0.8 m deeper than the current section of 2.4 m. In the case of the application with the fixed depth, the width predicted by Engelund and Hansen's equation was twice wider than the current section and by Meyer-Peter and
equation was 20 m wider than the current section of 44 m.

Both the friction velocity and the friction coefficient have to be estimated to determine flow characteristic in an open channel. In spite of the importances in an open channel, the complete interpretation is highly difficult because of free water surface, the complex of cross section and the various hydraulic parameters. The researches related to the friction factor are based on empirical outcome. Therefore, the equations are difficult to be generally applied. For that reason, the new friction factor estimation equation using the entropy concept was proposed in the present study, and the data measured in rectangular and trapezoid cross sections was used to verify the accuracy of equation. The advantage of the proposed equation dose not use the energy slope term which is difficult to be measured and to be estimated in an open channel. In addition, the proposed method showed that the accurate friction factor f can be estimated on the Basis of theoretical background.

The object of this study is to identify changes in air pollution in the maximum ground level concentration and the surrounding area when air pollution control facilities are improved in the thermal power plants. As the research about increasing the efficiency of dredging soil transport, the technology, which reduce the friction between pipe wall and fluid in the pipe and disturbed generating pipe blockage, has been developed. So for the purpose of applying this technology to real construction site, main test has been tried at the real scale test in field(500m dredging soil transport length). As a test result, this paper will show 30% flow efficiency increasing by permitted electro magnetic force to the pipe. And test result was evaluated as a ultra sonic velocity profiler.

The new developed long distance transport technology uses the effect of electro-magnetic energy. But it's difficult to estimate the new technology. We monitored the velocity profile and pressure drops in pipes and estimated the technology quantitatively from data analysis. Laboratory test and field test gave us that the effects of electro-magnetic energy changed the flow properties and increased the velocity, especially at the slip layer. When transporting the dredged soil, electro-magnetic field generation reduces the frictional resistances at the slip layer, increases the velocity of flow. Furthermore, it would be possible to transport the dredged materials up to 15km long with one pump station.

The effects of Design Initial Condition on Renewal of Railway Existing Curves

The alignment modifications after completion of railway construction entail a lot of efforts and time as well as high additional costs. In the process of renewal of the existing railway alignment to offer higher-speed services, the effect of initial design parameters(e.g., intersection angle) on determination of allowable degree of improvement of horizontal curves under consideration of economic efficiency is investigated in this study. From the analysis results, in the case that there are obstacles at the tangent line, it was found that the larger angle of intersection has a significant effect on the permissible zone. In addition, as the intersection angle is increased, the permissible values of maximum curve radius and the length of transition curve becomes smaller and longer, respectively. It is expected that this study can contribute to the efficient and accurate prediction of the permissible zone according to the locations of obstacles and the size of intersection angle as well as improvement in the railway alignment without any additional costs.
Analysis of Vibration Transfer Characteristics of Approach Bridges for an Elevated Railroad Station

The elevated railway station, above which a train is passing, is vulnerable to noise and vibration compared to other station types. To better identify the vibration characteristics of the elevated railway station, the transferred vibration from approach bridges should be analyzed. In this paper, through experiments and simulations, the transfer characteristics of the vibration from approach bridges is analyzed. The study structure is Geomgok station and the anaylses are conducted using ABAQUS three dimensional numerical model. To identify the change in the transfer characteristics for various bearing types, the analyses are performed considering mechanical properties of bearing for railway bridges. The measurement is performed using the accelerometers attached to the approach bridges and the station structure along the passing path of trains.
3-Dimensional Inelastic Behavior of Standard School Building with Various Hysteresis Models

The three dimensional inelastic response characteristics of the standard school buildings depending on hysteresis models are reviewed. Three artificial earthquake records in accordance with KBC(Korea Building Code) are used and the inelastic response characteristics such as story shear force, story drift ratio, story displacement, hinge distribution state are reviewed with four hysteresis models. As results, story shear force is increased by maximum 27% and story drift ratio is increased by maximum 30% according to hysteresis models. Modified Takeda Model shows maximum story shear and story drift raio in longitudinal and short direction, expecting higher safety. Story shear shows minimum value with Clough Model in both directions and story drift ratio shows minimum with Takeda model in longitudinal and with Clough model in short direction, so these models are expected to decrease the safety ratio.

A Study on Way to Classify Premium Rate Considering Flood Risk

Premium rate should be applied the insurance objects are classified reasonably, depending on the degree of exposure to disaster risk. But the existing premium rate is applied same basic rate each cities and districts without the degree of exposure to disaster risk. In this study, we analyzed the exposure to flood risk using channel buffering and suggested way to classify the premium rate by reflecting the analysis results in order to improve its. It is determined that this study would contribute to calculate the storm and flood insurance basic rate reflected risk and make and analysis of flood risk of the local river that conditions of inundation simulation is insufficient.
An Adaptedness Assessment for Beach Nourishment Utilization of Dredged Materials in Hwasun-Port

Dredged materials for effective use in Hwasun-port pollution analysis, Ni(nickel) in excess of the standard showed that the whole point. However, according to the revised standards effective utilization exceeds the reference value, even if no anthropogenic sources Pearl ratio less than 10% of the average weight of the ecotoxicological tests have passed, and if so it can be used to beach nourishment. Therefore, the average weight ratio of pearl and ecotoxicological tests were conducted by marine environment official test method. Mud to 5.37% of the average weight ratio lower than the reference value of 10% that was investigated. Ecotoxicity test using bioluminescent bacteria relative luminescence inhibition in the 0 to 9.13% with no toxicity was determined using benthic amphipods in the control and the test sample relative to the average survival rate is 0% with no toxicity was determined. Therefore, the revised effective use meets all the criteria that can be used to beach nourishment, so that the suitability was assessed.
A Study on the Property Changes of Rigid Polyurethane Foams by Nucleating Effects of PFA and MWCNT

While perfluoroalkane (PFA), a liquid state nucleating agent for a rigid polyurethane foam (RPUF) to enhance the thermal insulation property, has the excellent nucleating characteristics, it is very expensive as well as environmentally harmful due to the fluoride compound. Many researches, therefore, have been performed to develop the alternative nucleating agents to replace PFA. The difference of photosynthetic efficiency and electron transport rate by control of the red tide organism using algicidal substance and yellow clay

The development of worldwide harmful algal blooms(HAB) is a serious problem for public health and fisheries industries. To evaluate the algicidal impact on the HAB species, algicide thiazolidinedione derivative (TD49) and yellow clay were examined, which is focus on assess the algicidal effects and inhibition to photosynthesis of HAB species. To obtain the detailed information, we analyzed the viability of target species related to activity Chl. a, photosynthetic efficiency(
), and electron transport rate(ETR). Culture experiment was conducted to evaluate the algicidal effects of three harmful species(raphidophyceae Heterosigma akashiwo, Chattonella marina, and dinophyceae Heterocapsa circularisquama) and one non-harmful species (cryptophyceae Rhodomonas salina). Our experiments revealed that three HAB species were easily destroyed of the cell walls after TD49 dosing. Also, they had significantly reducing values of active Chl. a,
, and ETR, due to the damage of photosystem II by inter-cellular disturbance. As a result, the algicidal effect(%) for the three HABs were as follows, in the order of greatest to the least: H. circularisquama> C. marina> H. akashiwo. However, the algicidal effect for yellow clay remained to be <30% (p>0.01), implying that it may not have damaged the photosystem II. On the other hand, non-HAB R. salina was promoted at both TD49 and yellow clay treatments. Our results demonstrated that the TD49 is a good agent for the control of HABs H. akashiwo, C. marina, and H. circularisquama, whereas the yellow clay would not be suitable for the field application based on our experimental results.

The PLGA(Poly lactide-co-glycolide) Copolymer have been actively applied to the medical implant material as biomaterials. PLGA membrane was able to alveoloplasty with osteotomy for favorable degradation characteristics and possibilities for sustained drug delivery. In this study, PLGA membrane was prepared using phase inversion method, and examined to optical method analysis(NMR, IR), mechanical property measurement (tearing strength) and thermal characteristic analysis(DSC). Recently, solar light power generation is widely extended by support policy to regeneration energy. However generation efficiency is decreased when solar module maintain higher than certain point temperature. Therefore, it is need to maintenance under certain point temperature. An method of solving this problem, this paper is developed geothermal exchanger for efficiency improvement of solar cell module. Geothermal exchanger consisted of heat absorber of solar cell module and heat conductor and radiator. Heat of solar cell module is radiated in the earth by geothermal exchanger. An a result, geothermal exchanger is increased generation amount of solar cell module and experiment result showed costs to about 36% increment of generation power.
Short -term changes of microbial communities after control of Cochlodinium polykrikoides by yellow clay and chemical compound dosing in microcosm experiments

This study aimed to understand the changes in microbial community after algicide dosing to control the fish-killing dinoflagellate Cochlodinium polykrikoides in 10L microcosm. Based on our microcosm experiments, the algicidal activity for C. polykrikoides of yellow clay at the concentrations of 4g and 10g per 10 L was < 20%. At
concentration of thiazolidinedione(TD49), the population of C. polykrikoides was controlled to be > 85%. In microbial community, a significant increase in heterotrophic bacterial (HB) abundance was observed at day 1 in the TD49 and yellow clay treatments including control. The HB remained high for 2 days and then gradually decreased. In contrast, the abundance of heterotrophic nanoflagellates (HNFs) increased significantly on days 3 and 5 in the TD49 treatments, indicating that the decline in HB was probably a result of predation by the high density of HNFs. In addition, fluctuations in the aloricate ciliate Uronema sp., which feed on bacteria, was clearly correlated with fluctuations in HB abundance, with a lag period of 1-3 days. Therefore, the short-term responses of the HNF and Uronema sp. may have been a result of the rapidly increasing of HB abundance, which is related to degradation of the dense C. polykrikoides bloom, particularly in the TD49 treatment. In addition, large aloricate ciliate Euplotes sp. was significantly increased after reproduction of HNFs and Uronema sp. Consequently, the algicide TD49 had positive effect on the microbial communities, which indicates that the microbial loop was temporarily enhanced in the microcosm by energy flow from HB through HNFs to ciliate.
