A study on selective hybrid-structure film fabricated by 355nm UV-pulsed laser processing

This paper has presented a new foaming technology of selective hybrid-structured polymer film with expanded pores. The porous structure of closed pore was firstly fabricated by applying the 355nm UV-pulsed laser to 0.1mm thick film that was uniformly mixed with PP pellets, copper powder, and CBA (Chemical Blowing Agent). In order to expand pore size of closed-cell shape, LAMO(Laser Aided Micro pore Opening) processing was conducted to heat the copper powder, and then the bigger pore size of closed-cell more than existing pore size was successfully formed because of rapid conduction of heated metal powder. From the experimental results, various process parameters such as laser fluence, intensity, scan rate, spot size and density of powder and CBA were considerably considered to reveal the correlation among the pore characteristics. In the future, a function experiment will be carried out to use the hybrid film of industrial applications.
A Study on Heat Transfer and Pressure Drop Characteristics of Staggered Tube Banks using CFD Analysis

In this study, the characteristics of heat transfer and pressure drop was theoretically analyzed by changing longitudinal pitch, bump phase, location of vortex generator about the staggered tube banks by applying SST (Shear Stress Transport) turbulence model of ANSYS FLUENT v.14. Before carrying out CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis, It is presumed that the boundary condition is the tube surface temperature of 363 K, the inlet air temperature of 313 K and the inlet air velocity of 5-10 m/s. The results indicated that the heat transfer coefficient is not affected by the longitudinal pitch and the bump phase of circle type was more appropriate than serrated type in the characteristics of heat transfer and pressure drop. Additionally, in case of vortex generator location, the heat transfer characteristics showed that forward location of tube was more favorable 4.6% than backward location.
The study on Accelerated Life-Time Reliability Test Methods of Ni-Mn-B ternary alloy Plating(electrodeposit)

Steel companies are applying Ni-B or Ni-Co alloy plating to protect the surface of Continuous casting mold, and they are using saccharin polish which causes crack on plating layer due to sulfur in saccharin. It is considered that the Ni-S compound causes the cracking and additional tensile stresses. The Ni-Mn-B ternary alloy plating was developed for suppression of crack by forming Mn-S compound before Ni-S compound is formed, but there were no domestic or international standard on the Ni-Mn-B alloy plating. Therefore, reliability evaluation standard was established to evaluate the newly developed Ni-Mn-B plating. To develop accelerating life testing method, FMEA(Failure Mode & Effective analysis) was used to analyze the cause of the main failure in plating. The Ni-Mn-B reliability standard included accelerating life test method, and it was categorized by the fundamental performance test, environment test, and accelerated life test, and was designed to guarantee 1 000 hours of B10 life with 80 % reliable level.
Diagnostic Classification Based on Nonlinear Representation and Filtering of Process Measurement Data

Reliable monitoring and diagnosis of industrial processes is quite important for in terms of quality and safety. The goal of fault diagnosis is to find process variables responsible for causing specific abnormalities of the process. This work presents a classification-based diagnostic scheme based on nonlinear representation of process data. The use of a nonlinear kernel technique is able to reduce the size of the data considered and provides efficient and reliable representation of the measurement data. As a filtering stage a preprocessing is performed to eliminate unwanted parts of the data with enhanced performance. The case study of an industrial batch process has shown that the performance of the scheme outperformed other methods. In addition, the use of a nonlinear representation technique and filtering improved the diagnosis performance in the case study.

. The heat transfer coefficient curve shows a decreasing trend after a certain quality(critical quality). The critical quality decreases as the heat flux increases, and as the mass flux decreases. The early dryout at a high heat flux results in a unique 'cross-over' of the heat transfer coefficient curves. The heat transfer coefficient increases as the mass flux increases. At a low quality region, however, the effect of mass flux is not prominent. The heat transfer coefficient increases as the saturation temperature increases. The effect of saturation temperature, however, diminishes as the heat flux decreases. Both the Shah and the Kaew-On et al. correlations reasonably predicted the present data.

Visualization of Flow Characteristics on Thermosyphon with Immiscible Binary Working Fluid

This study presents experiments to visualize the internal flow and heat transfer characteristics of thermosyphon with immiscible of water-FC40 adopted as binary working fluid. Three different regimes depending on the amount of heat flux applied to the thermosyphon were observed: natural convection, pulse boiling, and continuous boiling. Boiling incipience took place in water, which has lower vapor pressure than FC40. During natural convection water was vaporized in liquid pool while liquid film flows were formed. On the other hand, meanwhile bubbles were generated in the liquid pool during pulse and continuous boiling, the binary working fluid of water-FC40 was observed as the mixture throughout a whole range of the thermosyphon.
Estimation of PTC (Powertrain Cooling) Performance with Heat Rejection Rate

It is important to consider powertrain cooling performance, when engine is applied to new vehicle. If the performance is poor, engine will be damaged by overheating. But, the development timing of engine is faster than timing of vehicle, it is difficult to test the cooling performance of new engine and vehicle. In this study the powertain cooling performance was estimated with some test and calculation data. First, the heat rejection test was conducted. From this test, the heat rejection data at required rpm and load was acquired. Second, coolant flow test was conducted. From this test coolant flow rate to radiator was measured. Then engine torque and rpm was calculated from vehicle load and speed. Vehicle load and speed was calculated from test mode. Then by comparing these data, the powertrain cooling performance was estimated.
The Structural Analysis of Three-Way Catalyst Substrate using Coupled Thermal-Fluid-Structural Analysis

This study evaluates the thermal structural safety of the three-way catalyst(TWC) substrate for domestic passenger cars. Thermal-fluid boundary conditions on the TWC substrate were determined by D-optimal DOE. The thermal stresses on the TWC substrate were calculated by the temperature distribution obtained from the CFD results. The safety factors of the TWC substrate were determined by statistical strength and stress distributions and estimated to be 0.275. The thermal stresses for TWC substrate exceeded the strength of the material. Therefore, it is necessary to redesign the TWC substrate because it has much shorter service life than design life.
Performance Simulation of Flow Control Oil Pump for Auto Transmission According to Rotating Speed

The purpose of this study is to analyze the performance of the flow control oil pump for automatic transmission. The numerical model for analysis the performance of the flow control oil pump was develop and the characteristics of the internal flow, discharge flow rate, displacement of outer ring, driving torque, generation of cavitation was investigated according to rotating speed. As a result, the cavitation generation increased as the rotating speed increased. The volumetric efficiency was 90% for 2200 rpm and it decreased rapidly, then it decreased about 81% for 5000 rpm. Besides, the cavitation generation was 20%~30% for inlet of suction part, but it reduced below 13% owing to the compression. However, it shows higher cavitation generation for high rotating speed like 5000 rpm.

Recently, novice driver or weak drivers was difficult to understand the movement characteristics of the car and are immature sense of width and length of the car according to various each driver's sex and age, model. To complement this problem, the use of rear sensor and the camera is increased. And the parking assistance system that improves the convenience of parking the driver is being developed. Accordingly, parking guide system is needed to reflect the difference in the steering angle and correct the error distance. In this study, it is proposed that the turning radius during backward by complementing the existing Ackerman Jentaud type. And it develops more accurate parking guideline to be able to generat algorithm by applying the formula to propose a steering wheel angle sensor value derived through the handle.
Model-Based Design of Operational Management System for Integrated Wireless Communication Network of Korean Railway Systems

The increased demand on the transport of both passengers and goods through rail systems implies higher traffic intensity and congestion on the railways, resulting in greater likelihood of accidents and also degraded passenger services. To cope with the issues, development of an integrated communication network for rails has attracted great deal of attention lately. GSM-R is such an example developed in Europe, which seems to have restrictions in providing various communication services due to network speed limit. For the reason, an LTE-based approach is under study in Korea. After the network development, operation management of the network is necessary. Design of operation management systems has been studied little and thus is the objective of this paper. To do so, a conceptual design has been carried out based on model-based approach. Specifically, a context model has first been created using the use case diagram. Then, SysML models of operational scenarios were developed for the management system. The SysML models have alternatively been expressed as EFFBD models to simulate and verify them. Consequently, the result of the conceptual system design for the operation management of the integrated wireless network is expected to be used as a basis for the detailed design later.
Development of Extra-large Hydraulic Breaker

Development of a extra-large hydraulic breaker, which could be used for a 100 ton-class excavator were carried out Hot-firing tests were carried out. Before designing a hydraulic breaker, the analysis method to predict the performance such as impact energy and impact rate were studied. Based on the analysis result, the design and manufacture of a extra-large hydraulic breaker were performed, and the breaker were confirmed to operate successfully. The data of impact energy and impact rate were measured during the operation of the breaker, and were compared with the analysis result. The analysis result of impact rate anticipated well the test data, but that of impact energy showed a large difference with the test data. The extra-large hydraulic breaker were successfully developed and the analysis method of impact energy will be updated taking into account friction, hydraulic circuit, etc.
College students' experience and intention to purchase organic clothes according to their lifestyle characteristics

This study aims to examine the college students experience and intention to purchase organic clothes according to their lifestyle as the most promising consumer class in future. First, it was found that their experience to purchase organic clothes according to the subjects demographic characteristics showed significant differences in the categories of gender, age, related major, pocket money and income from except their residential areas. Second, factor structure analysis of their lifestyles was conducted and the factors analyzed were divided into "well-being orientation", "pursuit of changes", "eco-friendly view", "trend innovation", and "conservative security". Third, the present study examined differences in sub-dimensions of lifestyle characteristics such as "well-being orientation", "pursuit of changes", "eco-friendly view", "trend innovation", and "conservative security" depending on their experience or non-experience to purchase organic clothes and found that "well-being orientation", "pursuit of changes", "eco-friendly view", and "trend innovation" were higher in the group with experience to purchase organic clothes than in that with non-experience and it was known that all sub-factor groups including "well-being orientation", "pursuit of changes", "eco-friendly view", "trend innovation", and "conservative security" had a significant influence on intnetion to purchase organic clothes.
A Study on a approach of venture management mothodology for improving the profitability of a private music-institute

Recently, there are so many music school graduates. In addition, there are many private music institutes. For this reason, there is a fierce competition in music education market. In the past, those who worked in music education market earned big money and so many parents wanted their girls and boys to learn playing a piano and other musical instruments. In the recent times, however, birth ratio was reduced dramatically in Korea and parents do not want their children to learn musical instruments due to economic depression and deteriorated music market. Eventually, the size of music education market was diminished dramatically and the competition in music education market is getting fiercer. Therefore, it is difficult to expect good performance in music education market without having an improved management system. In this respect, this study aims to understand what main factors have an impact on business performance in music institutes. The main areas studied in this paper include successful factors, reason why they start up a business, and successful management factors. The survey of this study targeted music institute owners. Based on the surveyed results, for the owners of the music institute, the method of the venture management approach, in other words, the application of the marketing knowledge, the consideration of the company system, the application of the smart technologies, etc., has been presented.
A Study on the effect of Vocational Decision Status According to Career Worries of Holland Preference Type's University Students

This research analyzes the decision-making status of expected graduates depending on their Holland preference type, as well as the influence career worries have on vocational decision status. By discovering this mediating effect, career counselors can carry out counseling based on the variety of career worries college students have, further supporting self-actualization of the client. As the previous studies on group counseling programs and the effects of career counseling have not yet considered the difference between various types of career worries and carried out identical programs and counseling method, this study is significant in marking the emergence of differentiated counseling intervention and strategy for more effective career counseling. This research is based on a survey conducted on 606 expected graduates attending six 4-year universities in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Chungcheong areas. The students surveyed are in the second semester of their senior (4th)years, during two weeks from november 4, 2013. First, the results showed that the level of career worries and the type of career worries differed between college students that have different types of Holland preference, and such difference was meaningful. Second, examination on the influences that career worries have on different vocational decisions depending on Holland preference types, found that the state of anxiety-free and anxiety toward career and dependence, as one of vocational decision types, together work as mediators. In conclusion, the significance of this research lies on that it reveals the mediating effects that career worries have on vocational decision status of college students.
A Study on application Course Embedded Assessment(CEA) for Program Outcome Assessment in Nursing Education

The purpose of this study was to suggest application of Course Embedded Assessment (CEA) for program outcome in nursing education through literature & Office of Assessment web site reference review on concept, advantage, disadvantage, process, measure, tool and precaution. The process of CEA is program outcome, calculate weight of program outcome, embed program outcome in curriculum, development a rubric for CEA, assessment, analysis the result and achievement, feedback loop. CEA is vary useful to proof the student personal achievement and program quality improvement.
Effects of Photodynamics Therapy on the Acne Skin without Light Sensitive Material

At a dermatology during the skin care, photodynamic therapy(PDT) is carried after 5-aminolevulinic acid(ALA), light sensitive material, is applied. At a skin care shop, using drug is prohibited. Thus, the aim of this research was to see the effect of the acne skin by irradiating PDT to the skin without applying ALA. The research method was that 24 female undergraduates who had acne on their face at the level of mild or comedonal, and the participants were divided into four groups(group1: no treatment, group 2: 420 nm of blue visible light, group 3: 660 nm of red visible light and group 4: blue and red visible light). The participants of group 2, 3 and 4 were irradiated with visible light for 20 minutes per week for 6 weeks, and they were compared to group 1. As a result of the research, the number of erythema, sebum, papules and pustules of those who were irradiated with visible light decreased, and the pore size of those also decreased while the amount of moisture increased. If an skin care shop applies PDT to the existing acne skin care, that PDT will influence on the program of a skin care shop is expected.
Factors Influencing Attempted Suicide Among Adolescents in Korea

The aim of this study was to investigate the condition surrounding attempted suicide and related factors among middle and high school students in Korea. Methods : Data from 72,435 participants of 2013 Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Based Survey were analyzed. Statistical analyses were conducted on weighted data using SPSS 21 software to account for the complex sampling designs. Results : Complex samples logistic regression analysis, school level, socioeconomic status, drinking alcohol, drug use, experience of school bullying were associated with an increased proportion of attempted suicide for boys and girls. Particularly, male students was associated with living type. Conclusion : The results of this study highlight the important of developing a program that focuses on enhancing suicidal prevention & respect life program with life skills program, to effectively reduce the likelihood of attempted suicide among adolescents in Korea.
Practical Use of Psychodrama as a Self-Development Program for University Students

The purpose of this study was to examine the usefulness of psychodrama as a self-development program for university students by applying it to D university student during 10 weeks. The study results were produced by quantitative and qualitative analyses on the data. At first, according to the quantitative analyses result, the identities of the participated students did not show significant differences between pre and post program participation, statistically. But according to the qualitative analyses on the participants experience reports, which were written by them at each session, the participants had experienced the 'fresh impulse' and the 'enlightenment through the body' at the introduction stage. And, they had experienced the 'whirlwind for the development' and the 'developments through suffering and bearing' at the actualization stage. Eventually, these results proved that psychodrama was useful for the university students to develop their inner side, by bearing and overcoming the physically mentally chaotic experiences from it.

This paper attempts to analyze the socio-economic determinants of demanders for cultural performance. To take into account zero responses (no expenditure or no experience for cultural performance, this paper employed a two-equation model and tobit model. the results of this study can be obtained the following conclusion. The demands of performing arts tend to be increased to people as they were younger, women, more earned and higher educated. In addition, the income is inelastic to demand. And after a certain age (peak age), the demand is increased.
The relationship of Codependency and Mental Health in Social Worker

This study was aimed to investigate the relation between codependency and mental health and to get a idea dealing with social worker's codependency for their healthy and professional caring, which is an important factor between social worker and client in social work practice. The subjects of this study consisted of 290 social workers working in social welfare facilities of Gangwon-do. The data were collected through self-reported questionnaires from Jun. to Oct., 2013. Results indicated that codependency showed over 50% of social workers were moderate-severe level and there were the significant correlation between codependency and mental health. Implications of findings of this study were discussed.
Strategies of Storytelling Based Teaching of English Speaking for Novice High Learners

This study suggests one of English teaching methods to improve English speaking proficiency for adult English learners. Contrary to the traditional English conversation teaching trends such as memorization of specific patterns or grammar-focused practices, the study introduces a storytelling based teaching of English speaking. To theoretically support the storytelling based English speaking teaching, the study investigates the possibility of the teaching method in three ways. First, the 12 speaking strategies focusing on contents of a story are introduced in the way of securing speech amounts as much as possible. Next, the five rhetoric components by Aristotle are introduced to relate to the storytelling teaching for the purpose of achieving the goal of speaking, which is to deliver what a speaker want to say more persuasively. Finally, through the investigation of the learner strategy uses, the possibility of storytelling English speaking teaching can be expected regardless of learners' low level of English proficiency.

Appreciative inquiry is applicable to schools to minimize the resistance of the members, and the subject of the school community Forming is suitable for the introduction of an AI program. But to become a way for a sustainable school community we must reconstruct the 4D modes of appreciative inquiry that the members can be applied as needed. In this paper, we propose the process of seven steps core learning activities based on systems theory. Seven steps are selecting a theme, interviewing for finding success story, analyzing an organization's success stories and deriving the core values, deriving future of the organization, sharing future of the organization, designing the ideal future of the organization consist of a practice. Since the proposed seven steps process is based on the literature it is necessary to apply follow-up study is to verify the result, and a variety of research methods for process improvement in AI.
Qualitative study on experience of health behavior among Korean low-income breast cancer survivors

This study explores the health behaviors and related situations of Korean low-income breast cancer survivors using in-depth interview. The study derives 95 concepts, 23 sub-categories and 12 categories in open coding. Illness experiences were categorized by behavioral, psychological, and social domains, cognitive were categorized by causal and destiny thought, emotions were categorized by negative, positive emotion, reserve capacity were categorized by internal and external domains and health behaviors were categorized by behavioral, psychological, and social domains. Understanding illness experience, cognitive, emotion, reserve capacity and health behaviors for Korean low-income breast cancer survivors will be useful in developing social welfare interventions and for enhancing health promotion.

The importance of offset program has been increased, recently. Most research focused on the technology valuation and improvement of offset program. Research related with assessment of offset companies and development of differentiated strategies for cultivating them although they are important actor in offset program. Hence, this paper aims to propose the framework for assessing offset companies and providing the differentiated strategies using Desirability Function and IPA. Additionally, by applying the proposed framework to real offset companies, the applicability and usefulness of it are verified. The framework consists of extracting performance measures, assessment of it using Desirability Function and AHP and strategic planning based on IPA.
An Application of Patent Citation Network Analysis for Technology Marketing: A Case of a Public Research Institute

This study attempts to search for potential users of patents developed by public research institutes, emphasizing the importance of identifying potential users for successful technology marketing. On the basis of the theoretical argument that technological development show path-dependence, we analyzed patent citation network of a technology developed by a Korean public research institute to achieve the purpose of this research. The result shows that the potential users identified from our method are different from the institute's initial expectation. Therefore, we argue that the method using patent citation network is useful and effective for public research institutes' technology marketing. Lastly we suggest a new framework for technology marketing process in public research institutes.
The Effect of Team Feedback Environment on Thriving at Work and Team Commitment through Feedback-Seeking Behavior

This study analyzed the effect of team feedback environment on feedback-seeking behavior, and further explored how feedback-seeking behavior led to the feeling of thriving at work and team commitment. Also, we examined the moderating effect of self-efficacy on the relationship between team feedback environment and feedback-seeking behavior. Using survey data from 201 workers employed in various industries in Korea, we found that team feedback environment was positively related to feedback-seeking behavior, and that the relationship was moderated by self-efficacy. In addition, feedback-seeking behavior was positively associated with the feeling of thriving at work and team commitment. The result suggests the importance of feedback-seeking behavior in improving performance as well as work attitude and energy. The result also emphasizes the critical role that team feedback environment plays, and the need to find ways to nurture the environment that fosters feedback seeking and giving.
The Association of AUDIT Levels with Obesity Indices, Liver Function Tests, and Serum Lipid Levels in Male Health Checkup Examinees

In this study, in an attempt to elucidate the relevance and the association between AUDIT level and health related indices such as obesity-related indices (BMI, waist circumference, body fat percentage), serum liver-enzyme levels (AST, ALT, GGT, total bilirubin) and serum lipid levels (TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C), data about including results of health checkup examination and questionnaire from 558 male examinees of 30-79 years old, who received a comprehensive health examination in the health promotion center of a university hospital during the period of January 1 to December 31, 2012, was analysed. As a results, the distribution of AUDIT rating of subjects was Zone I 58.2%, Zone II 25.3%, Zone III 7.0%, and Zone IV 9.5%. And AUDIT levels have significant relevance with age, smoking, body fat, GGT and TG. Especially, for the waist circumference, GGT and TG, the odds ratio indicating abnormality significantly increased in the higher AUDIT groups (Zone II~Zone IV) than a low-grade group (Zone I). This suggests that drinking problem with a high AUDIT level has a significant relevance with an abnormal increase of indices for obesity, serum liver-enzyme levels, serum lipid levels.

The purpose of this study was to obtain the relationship between life styles and obesity indices, and to investigate the influence of life styles on obesity indices among adults who examined health checkup in an university hospital. The subjects for this study were 4,112 adults who underwent medical examinations at a health center of a university hospital in Daejeon city from Jan 2012 to Dec 2013. We surveyed the life styles and obesity indices of study subjects from self-recorded questionnaires and medical examination charts after confirmed IRB of the hospital. As a results, the levels of obesity indices of subjects was closely correlated with increasing age, and life styles as alcohol drinking, smoking, regular exercise, overeating, meat consumption. The influence of life styles on obesity indices was incident in female than in male. And the main risk factors were regular exercise factor in obesity indices in both sex.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Workplace Bullying and Ego-resilience on the Turnover Intention of Nurses in the Public Hospital and presents basic data for helping positive working environment to nurses. A survey was held to Nurses of a Public Hospital in Seoul from November 20 to December 3, 2014. of 236 copies of the questionnaire distributed, a total of 216 copies were in the final analysis. For data analysis, SPSS 21.0 for Window was used. As a result, there were correlations between variables, the Turnover intention of Nurses of the Public Hospital were affected by the Workplace Bullying and Ego-resilience. and the largest effect was the Work-related problem. In conclusion, It is need to development program for preventing Workplace Bullying and Intervention for decreasing Turnover intention of nurses in the Public Hospital.
The effect of university students' approach to health information on improvement of health behavior

The goals of this study are understanding the state of improvement of university students' health behavior who are about to graduate and have to consider their health for getting a job according to the way of access and achieving health information and suggesting effective way to improve health behavior. 224 people who responded to the survey which was conducted at some universities in Kyungpook area are selected as a subject of final analysis. The analysis result of internet searching was more meaningful than the analysis result of TV programs or books regarding health. And the older grade(B=.103, p=.007), the more access to health information(B=.137, p=.008) and the higher score of existing health behavior(B=.431, p=.000) the score of improvement of health behavior was increased. Internet searching for health information is the most popular thing because information can be easily get after searching what you want immediately. TV program regarding health has better quality than the information on the internet because of the appearance of health professionals giving health information on TV but it is difficult to watch TV program whenever you want. However the separation between books, TV program and internet is obscured in that the books and TV program can be turned into replay and e-book on internet.
The Impacts of Socio-Economic Characteristics on the Services User's Perception by the Change of Social Condition in Healthcare Services

The purpose of this study was to ascertain whether some socio-economic characteristics affect the service users' perception on the change of social condition in healthcare services. The research target for this study was fixed on the sample members in national sample design and the data of this study was used 37,648 effective samples collecting using Probability Proportional to Size. The results of this study using the causal relationships model are as follows: The variables including type of female, age, years of schooling show positive signs on the service users' perception on the social condition change of healthcare. And the variables including household income, temporary worker, casual worker, urban residents show negative signs on the service users' perception on the social condition change of healthcare. In conclusion, the socio-economic characteristics affect the service users' perception on the social condition change of healthcare. And the service user's perception on the social condition change of healthcare was affected positively on the beneficiary side.
The influencing factors associated with glycemic control among adult diabetes patients

The purpose of this study was to investigate influencing factors and characteristics in Korean adults with diabetes by glycemic control groups. A secondary data analysis was conducted using the data of "The Fifth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, 2012" in this study. Finally, 608 participants who adults with diabetes were used for analysis. Selected data were processed using the SPSS 21.0 program. Diabetes duration(OR: 1.70, 95% CI 1.03-2.92) and age(OR: 2.06, 95% CI 1.16-3.65), hypertriglyceridemia(OR: 2.45, 95% CI 1.21-4.98) were positively associated glycemic poor control group. Therefore considering these factors and individualized diabetes intervention by glycemic control group are helpful for adult patients with diabetes.
Families' Perception and Attitude toward Applied Physical Restraints in General Neurological Wards

This study was conducted to identify families' perception and attitude toward application of physical restraint(PR) in general neurological wards. The study is based on subjects from 70 family members who have cared patients applying PR. Data was collected using self-report questionnaires and reviewing of patients' medical records. 68.6% of subjects were female and the mean age was 47.9 years old. Family members were either sons, daughters or spouses. The questionnaires analyzed families' perceptions based on a score of 5, the results showed a mean score of 4.2, and items related to maintaining therapeutic tools scored the highest. The application of PR with two hands was perceived by families as more important than PR applied with one hand. In families' attitude toward PR, there was general agreement that families had the right to decide to apply and remove PR. Continuous education and information regarding PR is required to support families.
Massive pneumoperitoneum following cardiopulmonary resuscitation

The purpose of this study was attemped to investigate the clinical presentation and pathophysiology of 74-year-old female who developed pneumoperitoneum as complications of chest compression from sudden cardiac arrest. Such chest compression is the same one excercised to by-stander and paramedics. A healthy 74 year female had a sudden mental deterioration while working at a restaurant. She was transfered from 119 emergency medical system to the hospital. After the symptom developed, by-stander called 119 who carry out 6 minutes Cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR). Defibrillation and CPR was carried out by health provider after the arrival, and the patients spontaneous circulation returned. After Return of spontaneous circulation(ROSC), patients was transferred to the nearst hopspital, but suspicious of myocardial infarction, she was again transferred to a larger scale hospital. At the hospital she took X-rays and Abdominal CT, and the results of suspicious gastro-intestinal perforation near gastro-esophageal junction, surgical repair was recommended. But in operation room, while operation went on, cardiopulmonary arrest appeared again, and she expired. For this reason, prehospital CPR needs more accurate localization of cardiac massage and serious consideration of positive pressure ventilation. Moreover, treatment of pneumoperitoneum after CPR needs more cautious consideration of patients hemodynamic stability.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the casual relationships among purchase decision factors of medical devices, satisfaction and repurchasing intention. Data of this study is a 2012 survey on medical institutions using medical devices of MW(ministry of health and welfare) and We analyzed 116 medical institutions having ultrasound imaging system lager than general hospitals among data. For empirical analysis, we carried out confirmative factor analysis and path-analysis using AMOS 21.0 package. Main results of this study are as follows: First, brand has positive influence on satisfaction and satisfaction has positive impaction on repurchase intention. Second, although not statistically significant, performance and service have positive impaction on satisfaction and price has negative influence on satisfaction. The significance of this study is to provide empirical basis on establishment of efficient marketing strategy and enhancement of competitiveness for the medical device industry.
Genotype Analyses of Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus Isolated from clinical specimens

Staphylococcus aureus is the major causative organism of nasocomial infection being the important pathogen in the clinic. Appearance of staphylococcus aureus resistant to methicillin (MRSA) is becoming a big problem in clinics and dynamics all over the world acquiring antibiotic resistance with virulence factors as its feature differentiated from other pathogenic bacteria fast. This research intended to compare and analyze the correlation of antibiotics resistance between strains with toxin genes and distribution of toxin genes of MRSA 101 strains acquired from clinical specimen in one general hospital (enterotoxin(se), toxic shock syndrome toxin-1(tst), exfoliative toxin(et), Panton Valentine leukocidin(pvl)). seg gene, isolated the most among toxin genes, was detected in 59 strains (58.4%) and more than two toxin genes were detected in 70 strains (69.3%). As a combination possessing toxin genes, it was detected in 19 strains (18.8%) as seb, sec, seg, sei, tst and the second frequent combination was sec, seg, sei shown in 11 strains (10.9%). 19 strains (18.8%) with combinations of toxin genes same with seb, sec, seg, sei, tst had 100% resistance Ampicillin, Benzylpenicillin, Ciprofloxacin, Clindamycin, Gentamicin, Erythromycin, Telithromycin, Tetracycline antibiotics. Strains with many toxin genes showed high correlation of antibiotic resistance. Afterwards, effective therapy and thorough infection management should be preceded not to spread the resistance of MRSA strain.
Relationships Between Alcohol Intake and Blood Pressure, Serum Lipids, Liver Function Tests and Obesity Indices in Middle-Aged Male Workers

The purpose of this study was to investigated the effects of alcohol intake on blood pressure, serum lipids, liver function tests and obesity indices in middle-aged male workers. The 2,175 male workers aged 30-59 years who examined health checkup were recruited as the study subjects during the period between January to December, 2013. We observed the relationships between the amount of alcohol intake and blood pressure, serum lipids, liver function tests and obesity indices. As a result, the mean score of SBP, DBP, LDL-C and TG were significantly higher increasing with amount of alcohol increased, but HDL-C were significantly lower increasing with amount of alcohol increased. AST, ALT, ALP and
-GTP were significantly higher increasing with amount of alcohol increased, but obesity indices were not significant. Age adjusted odds ratios(ORs) increasing with abnormal levels of SBP, DBP, HDL-C, LDL-C, TG, AST and ALT were significantly increased in heavy drinking group than light drinking group. Above results suggested that the heavy drink related with blood, serum lipid levels and liver function test levels, but not find out with obesity indices.
The Factors Related to Substance Use among Korean Adolescents: Focusing on Sexual Experiences and Risky Sexual Behaviors

The purpose of this study is to investigate factors related to substance use focusing on the sexual experiences and risky sexual behaviors among Korean adolescents. This study conducted with a secondary data analysis using the Seventh Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey 2011 in South Korea. The study participants selected 75,643 Korean adolescents who were recruited anonymously through national web-based survey. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, rao-Scott
, and logistic regressions considering complex samples. Results indicated that substance use was significantly associated with sexual experiences such as sexual intercourse with the opposite sex (adjusted OR=5.691; 95% CI=4.223-7.670), sexual intercourse with the same sex (adjusted OR=21.180; 95% CI=14.704-30.507) and risky sexual behaviors such as sexual assaults (adjusted OR=9.936; 95% CI=7.217-13.680), date rape (adjusted OR=16.979; 95% CI=11.648-24.751), sexual intercourse after drinking (adjusted OR=6.564; 95% CI=3.986-10.810), unexpected pregnancies (adjusted OR=18.628; 95% CI=8.476-40.936), and sexually transmitted diseases (adjusted OR=21.872; 95% CI=13.920-34.367) in Korean adolescents. Findings of this study show that adolescents who use substances are more likely to engage in risky sexual behaviors. Therefore, intervention program should be designed to consider both substance use and sexual problems and to include the effective approaches at the family and school level.
Effects of Korean Computer-Based Cognitive Rehabilitation Program(CoTras) on Frontal-Executive Functions in Patients with Traumatic Brain Injury

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of Korean computer-based cognitive rehabilitation program (CoTras) on frontal-executive functions in patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI). This study was performed at C hospital in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, Korea from August 2013 to March 2014. Ten patients with TBI were randomly divided into two groups. The experimental group had been given CoTras once a day, five times a week for four weeks, whereas the control group had performed self-cognitive training under the same conditions. To verify the effect of intervention, the following executive function measures were used: Korean Montreal Cognitive Assessment (K-MoCA), Executive Clock Drawing Test (ECDT), Trail Making Test (TMT), Rey-Complex Figure Test (RCFT). Intervention group showed significant increase in K-MoCA, TMT, RCFT-delayed recall (p<.05). However, control group showed no significant change in any test. There was significant difference of changed scores (post test-pre test) between two groups in K-MoCA, TMT and RCFT-delayed recall (p<.05). This study showed that CoTras is effective to improve frontal-executive functions in patients with traumatic brain injury.
Influence on Enlisted Soldiers' Health behavior, Body-shape perception, and Weight control toward the BMI change

This study was conducted to identify the BMI of enlisted soldiers, to understand the difference between their BMI and that of other men in their age group, and to identify the influence factors of enlisted soldiers' BMI change. The survey has been conducted self-evaluation questionnaire from 23 Feb. 2009 to 31 Mar. 2009 from 4 different forces as methods. Independent-sample T-test, chi-square test and multiple linear regression analysis were used for statistical analysis from 301 collected data. As a result of surveying enlisted soldiers' BMI, their obesity rate 18.6% was lower than 22.1% of other men in their age group. In terms of health behavior, the underweight&normal weight group(2.39) showed higher diet score than the overweight group(2.13), showing that the underweight&normal weight group ate relatively slowly, less spicy and less sweet food compared to the overweight group. The overweight group(2.25) showed lower satisfaction with their body type than the underweight&normal weight group(2.98), while the overweight group(4.01) showed a significantly higher score than the underweight&normal weight group(3.37) for weight control activity. The influence factors of BMI change were diet habit, subjective perception of body type, and weight control activity. In order to improve of enlisted soldiers' BMI, it would be necessary to improve the food service and the snack bars for interventional control of food that influence obesity, rather than personal effort, in addition, education for right body-shape perception and encouraging on weight control activity.
Quality Characteristics of Black Raspberry Wine added with wild grape by Yeast Strains and Fermentation Conditions

The objective of this study was to improve the quality of black raspberry wine added with wild grape, based on selection of yeast strains and fermentation conditions. The Y1 yeast(Lalvin 71B) indicated significantly higher lactic acid, ester, fusel oil content after fermented mashing than other samples tested and had an effect on the reduction of acidity and enhanced aroma of black raspberry wine. FMECA(Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis) techniques to make quantitative evaluation of failure effects severity and criticality have been applied to systematic failure analysis for reliability improvement of train which should provide regular service and secure high level of safety as a mass transportation system. These FMECA techniques do not fully reflect the inherent train operation and maintenance circumstances because they are based on the FMECA standards devised for other industries such as automobile industry and FMECA standard dedicated to train industry has not been established yet. This paper analyzes FMECA standards for various industries, and suggests a FMECA technique dedicated to train industry which makes failure effect analysis and criticality analysis step by step and makes criticality analysis placing emphasis on the severity of the failure effect. The proposed technique is applied to FMECA of high-speed current breaker which is a core safety device of train using field failure data for 15 years of train maintenance. The FMECA results show that breakage of arc chute has the highest risk with 3rd severity class and 5th criticality class among all the components of high-speed circuit breaker. Damage and poor contact of electronic valve, and cylinder breakage with 3rd severity class and 4th criticality class are followed by. These results can be applied to improvement of design and maintenance process for high-speed circuit breaker of train.

The problem of fast search for raman spectrum has attracted much attention recently. By far the most simple and widely used method is to calculate and compare the Euclidean distance between the given spectrum and the spectra in a database. But it is non-trivial problem because of the inherent high dimensionality of the data. One of the most serious problems is the high computational complexity of searching for the closet codeword. To overcome this problem, The fast codeword search algorithm based on the mean pyramids of codewords is currently used in image coding applications. In this paper, we present three new methods for the fast algorithm to search for the closet codeword. the proposed algorithm uses two significant features of a vector, mean values and variance, to reject many unlikely codewords and save a great deal of computation time. The Experiment results show about 42.8-55.2% performance improvement for the 1DMPS+PDS. The results obtained confirm the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Recently, the large scaled lead-acid battery is widely introduced to efficient operation of the photovoltaic system in many islands. but the demand of lithium-ion battery is getting increased by the operation of wind power and replacement of the lead-acid battery. And also, under the renewable portfolio standard(RPS) and energy efficiency resource standard(EERS) policy of Korea government, the introduction of energy storage system(ESS) has been actively increased. Therefore, this paper presents the operation algorithm of hybrid battery management system(BMS) using the lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries, in order to maximize advantage of each battery. In other words, this paper proposed the algorithm of state of charge(SOC) and hybrid operation algorithm to calculate the optimal composition rate considering the fixed cost and operation cost of each battery. From the simulation results, it is confirmed that the proposed algorithms are an effective tool to evaluate SOC and to optimally operate hybrid ESS.

NRD(Network RamDisk) is a scheme which allows a system to use the memory of the remote systems just as his own block device via networking. Basically, it consists of a client requesting an NRD access and server providing the NRD. In this paper, we describe the design, implementation and experiment of the block device driver for accessing the NRD in the Linux kernel(2.6) level. First of all, we have analyzed the flow of processing the requests for accessing the block devices in the traditional Linux kernel and figured out the additional functions required for supporting the NRD. Then we have designed and implemented the device diver of NRD client and NRD server for providing these functions. Finally, we have established a NRD server system, and reviewed its functional feasibility by experimenting the requests of NRD access through the NRD device driver implemented on a NRD client.

In sensor networks, sensor nodes are usually distributed to manage the networks in continuous unique area, however as by the network property nodes can be located in several areas. The data gathering of distributed nodes to several areas can be different with current continuous area. Hence, the distributed networks can be differently managed to the current continuous networks. In this paper, we describe the data gathering of sensor nodes in distributed sensor areas. It is possible that sensor nodes cannot instantly connect the mobile sink, and the node operation should be considered. The real time data sending to the instant connection scheme of mobile sink can be implemented, but the property of mobile sink should be considered for the sink connection of distributed areas. In this paper, we analyze the proposed scheme by the simulation results. The simulation results show that the overall lifetime to the periodic data gathering method is longer than the threshold method.
A Study on the Baggage Allocation Method of Passenger-Baggage Hybrid Train

Three baggage allocation methods of passenger-baggage hybrid train in restricted railway transportation capacity including round conveyor system, vertical circulation system, and horizontal circulation system are presented. Loading/Unloading time is calculated based on the volume transported from Busan to Seoul via Daegu, Daejeon, and Osong with the parcel company P's logistics data. The horizontal circulation system shows less baggage volume capacity to be allocated and the maximum loading/unloading time with 434 secs. The vertical circulation system presents more loading time, but it shows best result with 408 secs. Loading/Unloading times are compared for each system and useful method is presented to improve transportation efficiency of the train.

As a criterion of information theoretic learning, the Euclidean distance (ED) of two error probability distribution functions (minimum ED of error, MEDE) has been adopted in nonlinear (decision feedback, DF) supervised equalizer algorithms and has shown significantly improved performance in severe channel distortion and impulsive noise environments. However, the MEDE-DF algorithm has the problem of heavy computational complexity. In this paper, the recursive ED for MEDE-DF algorithm is derived first, and then the feed-forward and feedback section gradients for weight update are estimated recursively. To prove the effectiveness of the recursive gradient estimation for the MEDE-DF algorithm, the number of multiplications are compared and MSE performance in impulsive noise and underwater communication environments is compared through computer simulation. The ratio of the number of multiplications between the proposed DF and the conventional MEDE-DF algorithm is revealed to be

WiSMax : Wifi Speed Maximization Application

One of technologies that make it possible for users to enjoy always-on Internet service using potable devices does be Wifi. However, users frequently feel its connection is not stable or its speed becomes slow. On the other hand, users see multiple available Wifi access points exist often. In this paper, we present a smartphone application, called to WiSMax, that periodically changes its Wifi connection to the best one among available Wifi access points to maximize its speed. Experimental results show that WiSMax presents faster Internet connection than IEEE802.11 as much as about fifteen percent and higher signal strength than IEEE802.11 as much as about five dBm.
A Dynamic Service Architecture for Adaptable Mobile Smartwork System

There is increasing demand for enterprise smartwork system by a mobile device increases in these days. Therefore, it has been suggested in the technical platform of smartwork system. But,the research of the changeable smartwork system for quick and immediate correspondence of rapidly changing business affairs is insufficient. In this paper, we propose an adaptable mobile service architecture that can be based on the construction of flexible mobile smartwork system. This adaptable mobile service architecture is possible to dynamic service connecting the adaptable service in an existing smartwork system, and the core elements of the adaptable mobile service architecture propose 'Adaptable Service Manager', 'HotSpot', and 'Configurator'. We propose the dyanmic service processs that based on These core elements. Also, we verify the feasibility through case study that develop the project management mobile service that is usable in business of enterprise. Thus, this research provides the adaptable mobile service architecture that can provide the dynamic mobile service beyond the static mobile service of the existing smartwork system for the various change business of enterprise.
Access Delay Characteristics of Wi-Fi Network According to User Increase in Subway Section

LTE and Wi-Fi networks provide wireless communication services to passengers in subway where the number of network access fluctuates according to passenger movement. While the number of network access increase, LTE can provide stable communication service but Wi-Fi suffers temporal access delay to network. This paper analyzes the increase in access delay of Wi-Fi network according to increasing user in subway section by making mathematical modeling of Wi-Fi network and simulation study. The access delay characteristics of Wi-Fi network is measured along an subway line and the results are compared to the theoretical study. These results can be applied to the connection method to build an efficient network structure between LTE and Wi-Fi interworking network and the future introduction of LTE-R.

Regarding countless network disorders or invasions happening nowadays from 2014 until 2015, illegal access intended to attack through the communication line provided by ISP (Internet Service Provider) appears to be the source of the problem. As a defensive way to prevent such network-based attacks, not only stabilization structures for network communication but various policies as well as physical security devices and solutions corresponding to those have been realized and established. Therefore, now is the time to gain foundational research data to secure network security sections by producing logical area on communication bandwidth or such, suggest tasks to expand the communication line which is another research topic in the network security market, and recognize the fact that the active communication bandwidth linkage paradigm using network communication bandwidth is needed as one of the areas that can realize physical security. Additionally, it is necessary to limit the data in the forms of organizing visible security structures into a certain range of physical information by re-dividing communication capacity being currently provided by telecommunicators into subdivided organizational areas and applying the logical virtualization of communication capacity in each of the areas divided. By proposing a network security section based on a logical field application in place of the existing physical structure, basic data that designs a stable physical network communication structure will be provided.

In the present study, therefore, future inflow of Miryang multipurpose dam basin is estimated by using SWAT model applied RCP 4.5 and 8.5 scenarios of "Korea Meteorological Administration" and considering the results, the future direction is purposed to operate the dam. As a result, the rainfall pattern is changed from traditional peak form to flat form. The dam operation rule in accordance with changing precipitation pattern has to be modified from the conventional operation rule and a new plan has to be established to meet a situation.
Development of Estimation Model of Construction Activity Duration Using Neural Network Theory

A reasonable process for the activity duration estimation is required for the successful construction management because it directly affects the entire construction duration and budget. However, the activity duration is being generally estimated by the experience of the construction manager. This study suggests an estimation model of construction activity duration using neural network theory. This model estimates the activity duration by considering both the quantitative and qualitative elements, and the model is verified by a case study. Because the suggested model estimates the activity duration by a reasonable schedule plan, it is expected to reduce the error between planning duration and actual duration in a construction project.
A Study on the Status and Improvement of the Basic Occupational Safety and Health Training for the Construction Industry : focused on the Educational Methods and Contents

Construction industry has a relatively higher accident rate compared to other industries, especially the serious accident rate including death. Ministry of Employment and Labor has not only implemented safety consciousness but also initiated the basic occupational safety and health training for the construction industry. Despite the effort, only a few sites follow the obligatory task and there are reports stating the effect of the education is minimal. As a result, this research aims to determine and analyze the current state of the basic occupational safety and health training including its lesson plan and method. Furthermore, by analyzing the preliminary study on the effective instructional method, this research suggests an effective method to implement safety consciousness to the workers. An improvement plan is also suggested by supplying appropriate educational material to different workers by differentiating the characteristics and the cause of death at various work types in construction sites.
A Fundamental Study on the Development of the Fusion Education Curriculum in the Field of Architecture and Urban: based on Practitioner-oriented Survey

The purpose of this study is to identify demand of fusion education in the field of architecture and urban, according to architecture and urban market changing, product changing, increasing fusion education demand. We conducted online surveys targeting construction and non construction field practitioners so that we want to identify consumer's needs about fusion education in the field of architecture and urban. Research findings can be summarized in three parts. First, practitioners need to fuse business-related majors (Frequency changing ratio : financing(716.7%), management(633.3%), planning(454.5%) etc.) and traditional majors. Second, the survey results show that 79 percent of those questioned were in favor of switching the cyber and off-line operation methods for fusion education. They require the complementary education system between off-line and cyber education based on education accessability. Third, the survey results show that 70.9 percent of those questioned were in favor of limited freestyle(Freedom of choices without required subjects). The curriculum should be arranged according to the flow of construction business process including fusion subjects.
On the Study of Design Guidelines and a Design Case to Enable the Replacement of LRT Stations by Stops

To cope with the increased demand on the intra-city transportation by urban rails, the introduction of the light rail transit (LRT) systems has been expedited in Korea due to the possible reduction of both the development and operation costs from adopting LRT systems. The LRT systems have so far been designed, constructed and operated based on the corresponding law and regulations. It has been conceived that fully complying with the existing guidelines may incur some extra costs on LRT. In addition, the present design of LRT stations seems to require unnecessarily long flow of passengers traffic, particularly for disabled people. In this paper, as an approach to solving the aforementioned issues, an introduction of 'LRT stops' has been studied where the stops are similar in concept to bus stops and are intended to replace the stations of a bigger scale in general. Specifically, necessary guidelines for design have been developed by modifying the existing ones to be fit with LRT stops. A design case was also presented to evaluate them. The effective use of the results reported here will provide an opportunity of cost reduction in connection with the construction and operation, and also let people benefit from convenient use of rails, thereby resulting in enhanced transportation welfare.
Reduction of Drying Shrinkage of Mortar and Concrete by Expansion of Rapid Cooling Slag Fine Aggregate

It is necessary to maximize the durability of Concrete for the underground structure because its maintenance and reinforcement are difficult. For cracks due to drying shrinkage of the concrete on the characteristics of the material, there is a need for an alternative in the deterioration phenomenon that occurs. In this study, fundamental properties including drying shrinkage of mortar and concrete were investigated to replace fine aggregate from cooling slag for reducing drying shrinkage of mortar and concrete. In the case of rapid cooling slag fine aggregate, it was effective to reduce and restrain initial shrinkage of mortar and concrete, and compressive strength was increased through the all specimen in proportion to its replacement ratio.
Proposal of Design Criteria on Multi-functional Tunnel for the Urban Traffic Tunnel to Flooding Bypass

Spatial and time variation of the precipitation in Korea is high, therefore, more than 2/3 of the annual precipitation is concentrated during the rainy season. Climate change also causes the intensive rainfall in the area of dense population, thus the occurrence frequency of the heavy flood in the impervious area has been increased. Therefore, the structural food mitigation measures such as the construction of the higher design frequency stormwater pipes, pumping stations, and/or detention ponds. The flood bypass tunnel or retention storage is also one of the efficient structures to mitigate flood damage in the urban area. However, the economic feasibility has been controversial because the flood bypass tunnel might be used once or twice a year. To solve the problem, the multi-functional tunnel for the urban traffic and flooding bypass has been considered. In this study, the design criteria of the road and water tunnel has been analysed and the composite design criteria is proposed for the multi-functional tunnel which is expected to be constructed.

One of the most important requirements in the development of asset management system of wastewater facilities is to determine the level of management of the service related to supply of wastewater. After the sewage facilities were built, many parts of the replacement or repair items will be occurred by the requests of the users on the way of operation and management. To manage the level of those services, where site and which complains is occurred have to be searched, and have to setting the aim of managing the service for objects to improvement. In this study, the complaints related with the sewage of S-area were analyzed, in which is progressed the domestic asset management development for the facilities and pipes related to wastewater. Based on these complaints data, the regional characteristics of S-area by causes and subject of complaints is analysed, and developed more detail management standard than current level. And also service level management strategies of advanced asset management benchmark agency for improving to service level management standard is compared and constructed basement for building the best practice of S area.

Characterization of Repairing Polyurethane for Trenchless Sewer Pipeline

There is commonly used the full depth excavation method of sewer pipeline maintenance in Korea. This induces couple of technical and social problems like increase of construction cost and time for excavation and backfill, increase of public complains and delay of traffic, and so force. In order to overcome these problems, lots of laboratory tests were carried out for sewer pipeline of maintenance materials with trenchless methods. The testing materials are liquid and hardened polyurethane, and polyurethane CIPP. The lab tests were followed by Korean Standard. There are no side effects, like harmless to the human body and air pollution with stink. Judging from the limited test results, all the items tested were satisfied the KS criteria.
Experimental Study on the Behavior Characteristics of Single Steel Pile in Sand Subjected to Lateral Loadings

In order to fulfill the needs of reliable and economically feasible foundation, engineers should consider not only the working load that can endure extreme conditions but also apprehending precise behavior of continuous dynamic load while designing the foundation of offshore wind power generators. To actualize the foundation, a model pile was made in miniature. Also, calibration chamber was made and a 500mm height of sand-bed was made to perform "static lateral load experiment" and "repetitive loading experiment", total of two Lateral load tests. As a result, in Static Lateral load test, the bigger length/diameter of model pile led an increase in load displacement. However, when performing "Cyclic Lateral load test", the increase in number of under loading led the decrease in horizontal displacement from each repeated lateral load. While performing Static Lateral load test and repeated loading experiment, we could observe the decreasing in the rate of ultimate lateral load capacity increase of the pile. Also, it turned out that the higher relative density of the ground, the lower ultimate lateral load capacity by repeated horizontal loading.

In the case of elevated railway station in which railway is connected with superstructure of station, vibration and noise level is relatively higher than those of general structure type station due to structural characteristic which transmits vibration directly. Therefore, characteristic understanding of structural vibration and accompanying structure cause noise and establishment of reduction plan through the results are in need. Test and analysis are performed in this research to consider correlativity between structural vibration and accompanying structure cause noise when external forces are applied on standard slab and floating slab which is able to isolate vibration. By producing and loading on standard and floating slab, vibration and noise response are measured while simulation using numerical analysis, finite element method and SEA method is performed. The results about structural dynamic behavior of slab, correlativity between structural vibration and noise, reduction performance of floating slab is deduced through the analysis of tests.
A Study on the Utilization Small Disused Station

More than 100 years of railway history in Korea, many of disused stations and railroads are happening. Many of disused stations are designated as registered cultural properties because of their historical value, and should be utilized considering their historical meaning. The purpose of this study is to analyse the status and utilization of disused station designated as registered cultural properties, research the domestic and foreign cases of successful reutilization, and provide basic materials for desirable utilization of underused space. Status and utilization of 23 stations are classified as closed-type, continued-type, changed-type, toured-type, and different alternatives are analysed from foreign cases. From case study utilization appling user and detailed utilization are classified as follows; Proprietor(Manager)'s Private Use, Proprietor(Manager)'s Public Use, Community's Public Use, Participant's Cooperative Use, and Tourist's Purposeful Use. The successful utilization of small disused station will be carried out with respect for disused station as cultural heritage, using place of coexistence and symbiosis for community, and effort to make spontaneous growth by participation of various users.
Analysis of Comfort on Transition Curve based on the Measured Data

Transition curves are located between curve and straight section in railway. These transition curves are vulnerable to the ride comfort of passengers and safety of a vehicle because lateral acceleration, lateral jerk and roll velocity increase as curvature and cant change along the transition curves. In this paper, ride comfort on the transition curve was calculated on the basis of lateral acceleration and roll velocity measurements. The evaluation of ride comfort was conducted according to the methodology specified in European Standard. The distribution characteristics of the comfort index were investigated for the korean conventional line from the evaluation results. The influence of the curve radius and the vehicle speed on the ride comfort index was also investigated. Finally, the relationship between ride comfort and the rate of cant changes on transition curves was analyzed.

A Performance Evaluation of Concrete for Low-carbon Eco-friendly PC Box for Near-surface Transit System

Low-carbon eco-friendly precast concrete (PC) box structure has been recently was developed as an low-cost infrastructure of near-surface transit system. The concrete of PC box was manufactured by industrial byproducts such as ground granulated blast furnace (GGBF) slag, flyash and rapid-cooling electric arc furnace (EAF) oxidizing slag, its mechanical property and durability were estimated in this study. Based on the mechanical and durability tests, it is found that low-carbon eco-friendly concrete shows high initial compressive strength, more than 90% of design strength (35MPa), and high resistance to salt-attack, chemical- attack and freeze-thaw. Therefore, low-carbon eco-friendly PC box concrete technology is expected to contribute to the railway with low environmental impact.
Enhancement of the Technique for Analyzing a Pile Driven by Vibro Hammer

Enhancement of the existing program for analyzing a pile driven by vibro hammer was tried. Damping effect of dynamic soil resistance and clutch friction were added to the existing governing equation which constitute vibrating system of vibro hammer-pile-soil. Parameters of the modified Ramberg-Osgood model which simulates dynamic load transfer curves for the developed program were recomputed. Comparing the results of the modified program with those of the field tests, pile displacement with time and load transfer behavior were more similar to those of the field test. The penetration rates obtained from the modified program were more close to those of the field test rather than those of the commertical program.

HPFRCC is characterized by a very low water-to-binder ratio which induce extremely large autogenous shrinkage at early age. The restriction of such autogenous shrinkage through the use of forms and reinforcing bars will increase substantially the risk of excessive residual stresses and shrinkage cracking. The exact understanding of the shrinkage behavior and studies on solutions to reduce shrinkage should be imperatively undertaken for further application of HPFRCC to real structures. Therefore, this paper investigated the mechanical properties of HPFRCC with respect to the eventual introduction of expansive admixture(EA) and shrinkage reducing agent (SRA) in the mixture. Autogenous shrinkage test was conducted considering the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) measured at early age so as to examine the effects of EA and SRA on the autogenous shrinkage behavior of HPFRCC.
Preliminary Design of a Urban Transit Passenger Guidance System Using Congestion Management Model

The congestion of railway vehicle and station shows up to 220%. Especially, transfer resistance of passenger increase rapidly by the collision of circulation. So increment of travel time, occurrence of safety accidents act as a factor that inhibits the utilization of urban railway station. In this paper, to improve traveling speed and comfort of urban rail passengers, urban transit passenger guidance system using congestion management model is proposed. The congestion management model that can mitigate a recurring/non-recurring congestion is constructed and the preliminary design of the system (middleware system, control system, guidance drive system) is carried out. Passenger Guidance System is configured by step for changing the external data into a form usable by the algorithm, step to perform the congestion management algorithm using the real-time data and historical data, step to control device based on the value that is calculated by congestion management algorithm, step to drive the device based on the information in the control system and circulation guidance devices. In the future, detail design will be performed based on the preliminary design. A prototype of the various devices according to the station structures and locations will be made. The control module of guidance device will be developed.

The coal shed at thermal power plant(T.P.P) is the biggest building on size among nuclear, coal and other power plant industry buildings. This the coal shed of indoor type is mass volume, the size of 6 soccer fields and 73 meter in height. Structural and functional elements take priority over aesthetic factors. The aim of this study is to suggest the design requirement and guide for the indoor type of the coal shed.
Study on Graphite/Polypropylene/Liquid Crystalline Polymer Composite for a Bipolar Plate of Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cell

We investigated mechanical, rheological and electrical properties of graphite/PP/LCP composites for a bipolar plate of the polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell. The composites containing very low molecular weighted PP showed much higher electrical conductivity compared with other thermoplastics. This was attributed to the enhanced dispersion of graphite particles due to the low viscosity of the PP. The conductivity of the composites was increased in a great extent by incorporation of small amount of carbon nano tube (CNT). However, the acid treated CNT which contains oxygen atoms did not increase the conductivity of the composite. From this result, it is concluded that the CNT has higher affinity with non polar polymer. The composite with low molecular weighted PP provided good processability so that the composites can be processed by an injection molding while the mechanical strength is deficient compared to other polymers. In order to reinforce the low mechanical property, LCP/PP was used as a binder and the graphite/PP/LCP composite showed the higher conductivity and moderate mechanical strength maintaining suitable processability.

Single-base propellants contain a single energetic component: nitrocellulose. Accurate predictions of propellant shelf-life should result in cost savings in terms of human and material resources. This study derived an optimized kinetic model reaction order that described stabilizer consumption and estimated propellant shelf-life. High temperature accelerated aging tests gave an optimum reaction order value of 1.15481, from which the minimum standard error of a linear regression estimate of 16.284 was obtained. At normal storage temperature of
, propellants should have a safe shelf-life of 140 years, and a minimum of 35 years. It is necessary to consider the temperature range in ammunition storage areas to predict propellant shelf-life more accurately.

Reactive compatibilization of liquid crystalline polymer/ethylene-acrylic acid ionomer blends

This paper describes the reactive compatibilization of blends of a wholly aromatic thermotropic copolyester liquid crystalline polymer (TLCP) with random copolymers of ethylene and acrylic acid (EAA) and their salts. Blends were prepared by melt mixing in an intensive batch mixer, and the formation of a graft copolymer due to acidolysis between the TLCP and the acrylic acid group of the ionomer was evaluated. Chemical reaction was assessed by torque measurement during melt mixing and by thermal analysis and morphological observation. The Na-salt of the EAA ionomers was especially effective at promoting a grafting reaction. The extent of reaction depended not only on the cation, but also composition of the ionomer and reaction time. The product of the grafting reaction between the TLCP and a sodium-neutralized ionomer proved to be an effective compatibilizer for TLCP and EAA ionomers.
