The paper describes the integrated design system using MDO and approximation technique. In MDO related research, final target is an integrated and automated MDO framework systems. However, in order to construct the integrated design system, the prerequisite condition is how much save computational cost because of iterative process in optimization design and lots of data information in CAD/CAE integration. Therefore, this paper presents that an efficient approximation method, Adaptive approximation, is a competent strategy via MDO framework systems.
A Study on Material thickness variation of the circle formming shape for installing PCB

Through experiment that does not cause wrinkles in the forming process for the primary purpose for install PCB(Printed circuit board) the thickness variation of the material was investigated. Experimental results was showed that the forming height of the first process had Influence Material thickness variation in the second process, in the first process, the Entrance corner of the die must have round of the product height of 50%, and The height of forming should be as high as the thickness of the material than the original forming. Also as do implement the forming shape in the first process, the thickness of the material is thinned to 85%, Restriking in the second process was that The thickness of the material is thinned to 80%. Therefore, In order to implement a precise shape, Thinking that the material thinning, The die was maintain the shape of the original product, and It was obtain the effect of the compression that the punch is to be longer, as the sum of more than 20% of the material thickness in the depth of the original product.
Measurement of Thermal Characteristics of Electric Unit for Sancheon High-Speed Railcar

The heat generated by electrical components during train operation was estimated by measuring the wall temperature in a locomotive, as well as the temperature and speed of the air entering from the outside and then returning to the outside. The temperatures of the electrical components and wall surface in a high-speed train were measured using an infrared camera. The heat generated by the electrical components was exhausted to the outside through a duct installed on the ceiling of the high-speed train. Thus, the temperature and speed of this exhaust air were measured, as well as those of the air entering the locomotive from the outside. The temperatures at the surfaces of the electrical components and walls in the locomotive were also measured using an attachment-type temperature sensor. In addition, the measurement results were applied to analyze how the heat characteristics of the electrical components were affected by the train operation.
Safety Assessment for Installation of Deck Crane by Lifting

A deck crane is installed on the deck of a ship by lifting method using tower crane or floating crane. The safety assessment for two points lifting method should be preceded to ensure a safe installation of deck crane. In this study, finite element models of deck crane and fixing jig are generated for the structural analysis which can evaluate a safety of lifting method. Also, reaction forces and boundary conditions considering lifting state are applied to the structural analysis. The proposed safety assessment method can be useful as an analytic tool that can provide a safer procedure for installation of deck crane by lifting method.

We developed the platform safety step system for the passenger to avoid misstep accident and secure the pedestrian safety. In this study, we classify platform safety step system into hierarchy system and predict the failure rate of each part and calculate the failure rate & MTBF(Mean Time Between Failure) of each module(sub-system) by means of RBD(Reliability Block Diagram) & FTA(Fault Tree Analysis). Finally, we will propose the reliability analysis results for RAMS analysis of platform safety step system.
Design of Cold Forging Process of Micro Screw for Mobile Devices

A screw is a type of fastener characterized by a helical ridge known as thread. The demands for screws with the miniaturization and weight reduction are increasing for the trend of small size of mobile devices. The successful designs of mold and process are very important to obtain screws with good mechanical properties and high precision. In this study, the design of cold forging process of micro screw was carried out by using finite element method. In particular, in order to investigate the effects of die geometries and friction, design of experiment method was adopted and it was revealed that the friction was the dominant factor of folding defects. From these results, the design of die was modified and experiments were carried out with the modified die. From the experimental results, it was found that the folding defects disappeared.
Air-Side Performance of Fin-and-Tube Heat Exchangers Having Non-Symmetric Slit Fins Under Wet Condition

In this study, wet surface heat transfer and friction characteristics of non-symmetric slit-finned heat exchangers are experimentally investigated. Louver-finned heat exchangers are also tested for comparison purpose. The effect of fin pitch on j and f factor is negligible. Louver fin samples yield higher j and f factors than slit fin samples. For one row, j and f factors of louver fin are 27% and 31% higher than those of slit fin. For two row, j and f factors of louver fin are 15% and 30% higher. Both j and f factor decrease as the number of tube row increases. For one row, average j/f ratios of slit fin samples are 3.4% larger than those of louver fin samples. For two row, average j/f ratios of slit fin samples are 11.5% larger. A new correlation was developed using the present data.
Numerical study on the thermal performance characteristics of the stack system for FCEV

The objective of this study is to numerically investigate the heat transfer rate for evaluating the thermal performances of the stack thermal system using the commercial software. In order to perform this, the cooling performances of the stack system for fuel cell electric vehicle were tested under both driving road conditions including the general driving road and uphill driving road and operating conditions with and without of the air conditioning system. The heat transfer rate of the stack radiator for the stack system was increased with the increase of the inlet air flow velocity. The heat transfer rate of the stack radiator increased by 105.3% at the coolant flow rate of 20 l/min and 221.3% at the coolant flow rate of 120 l/min with the increase of the air flow velocity from 2 m/s to 10 m/s.

Although sheath-type heating line is generally used for susceptor heater, performance deterioration problems in temperature uniformity occurs in the case of large scale and high temperature condition. We developed new design and prototype of the susceptor using sheet metal to provide performance improvement in temperature uniformity. A study on the vaneless diffuser and volute casing design for the improvement of small centrifugal compressors

The performance improvement of a small centrifugal compressor for waste water treatment has been conducted by the design change of vaneless diffuser and volute casing. Existing two compressors use a common impeller, but the width and length of the vaneless diffuser and the cross-sectional shape of the volute casing are different, respectively. Based on the experiment of the existing two compressors and their CFD results, the design of the vaneless diffuser and the volute casing has been changed. It was found that the strength of the interaction among the volute tongues, the vaneless diffusers and the impellers of two existing/one improved compressors, was affected by the cross-sectional area and inlet radial length of the volute casing including system losses' change. The efficiency of the impeller with one existing design was increased as the decrease of the width of the vaneless diffuser, but losses at the diffuser were accumulated. In conclusion, approximately 2.88%p efficiency increase at the design point of the new compressor with the improved design has been confirmed by CFD analysis results.
The Analysis of Acceleration Performance Resulted by Weight Variation for HEMU-430X high-speed train the Korea's next-generation electric multiple unit train

This study reports the relationship between rollingstock weight and acceleration performance for HEMU-430X, the first electric multiple unit developed in Korea. While maintaining the consumed power, the total train weight was deliberately varied by 2%, by adding and removing weights, and the it was shown that the lighter train was found to have higher acceleration performance and hence better suited for maximum speed tests below the speed of 413km/h. According to the power consumption analysis based on the velocity data collected per 0.1 second, the balanced speed, when the traction force and air resistance become equal, was determined to be 419km/h for HEMU-430X, which is in agreement with tested result. It is expected that the analyses in this study will be utilized for the speed tests in the future.
Analysis of Crash Load in Crash Impact Test for Fuel Tank of Rotorcraft

Crash impact test is conducted to verify the crashworthiness of fuel tank. Success of the crash impact test means the improvement of survivability of crews by preventing post-crash fire. But, there is a big risk of failure due to huge external load in the crash impact test. The failure of crash impact test can result in serious delay of a entire rotorcraft development because of the design complement and re-production of the test specimens requiring a long-term preparation. Thus, the numerical simulations of the crash impact test has been required at the early design stage to minimize the possibility of trial-and-error in the real test. Present study conducts on the numerical simulation of phase I crash impact test using SPH supported by crash simulation software, LS-DYNA. Test condition of MIL-DTL-27422 is reflected on analysis and material data is acquired by specimen test of fuel cell material. As a result, the crash load on the skin material, overlap area and metal fitting is estimated to confirm the possibility of acquisition of the design load for the determination of the overlap area and adhesive strength.
Differences between Purchase Behavior and Perception of Organic Clothing Goods on University Students

This study aims to examine and analyze consumers' perception level and purchase behavior of organic clothing goods with. According to their purchase experience of organic clothing goods, it was found that organic textile products for women like sanitary pad were most and purchase frequency of organic clothing goods was mostly once. Among reasons to purchase organic clothing goods, 'for my health' was most. Non-purchase reason was mostly 'I don't know what organic goods are'. Therefore, there were significant awareness differences of organic clothing goods in "health efficiency" between the purchasing group and the non-purchasing group. In addition, there were significant awareness differences of demographic characteristics and organic clothing goods in sex, age, and "health efficiency" of related major items and in "high quality recognition" and "health efficiency" of residential areas.
A Review on the Development Direction of Agricultural Outlook Program Using AHP Approach

The purpose of this study is to analyze the outcomes of experts' survey for the agricultural outlook program, and finally suggests the direction and long-term plan for the improvement of this program. Agents and consultants in the agricultural outlook center were surveyed in order to develop a long-term plan and improvement direction for this agricultural outlook program, and the AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) was used for analysis. The survey was carried out on 70 experts in Agricultural Outlook Center and finally, the statistical effective 24 questionnaires were used to analyze. The analysis showed that the most important factor for its long-term improvement plan was the enhancement of timeliness in overall. Particularly, outlook agents weighted more on timeliness for long-term planning, but consultants on accuracy.
A Study of Correlation between Big 5 Personality Traits and SRQ of Brain Quotient

This study was to examine the correlation of Personality and EEG. Personality test and EEG of the 40 team leader of a business enterprise were carried out at the same time and the correlation of test results were analyzed. Personality test was done by Big 5 and brain waves were measured by 2-Channel EEG System at Fp1 and Fp2. The analysis showed a positive correlation between the Big 5 agreeableness and SRQ(Self Regulation Quotient) relaxation status which is related with alpha rhythm, and showed a negative correlation between the Big 5 openness and SRQ concentration status which is related with low_beta rhythm. It means that the personality is closely correlated with human brain cortex activation and can be checked by brainwave analysis.

Overseas Expansion is essential to expand domestic geospatial industries in a state of saturation. But current overseas expansion method has be limited to expand global market. Inter-industries convergence strategies may be most resonable alternative to expand global market through raising expansion possibility to developing countries with ODA funds and to developed countries with converging global competitive industries. This research analyzed the industry to develop a suitable way fusion between these industries. As a result, easiness of convergence, confidentiality of information, complementarity of poor infrastructure, responsiveness of various demands and sustainability of system are needed to successful convergence on multiple industries. This convergence framework is consists of geospatial convergence common framework based on cloud computing, inter-industries convergence model and institutional supporting system for overseas expansion.
Popular Song's Lyrics as Tourism Language: Focusing on Exoticism

This paper aimed to explore the possible popular song's linkage to tourism promotion material. Especially focusing on the lyrics of Korean popular song, which explicitly containing exoticism in title or lyrics in early and mid of 20 centuries, this research verified how authors represented the one of Dann's language of tourism thesis: strangeness perspective in tourism and language of differentiation. Result suggested that song writers, as of their imaginary by-product or personal experience, present exoticism in lyrics of song in various ways: exaggerating, creating, stereo-typing exotic place. Fulfilling the Dann's idea, songs elaborately delivered familiar words, conspicuously by personifying place, allocating young ladies and mentioning origin or hometown. The research was efforts to find the origin of entertainment contents savvy-tourism promotion and also traced potential tourist's collective imagination toward potential overseas tourism destination.

A Study on Development of the Korea Agricultural Population Forecasting Model and long-term Prediction

A population decline in rural area is correlated with the number of household, with agricultural workers, as a result, affects the farming income. Agricultural population is a foundation of agriculture structure. Agricultural population decline influences agricultural policies to be implemented for the future and there is concern about slowdown in productivity. The purpose of this study is to build the ability to use the model and conduct applied analyses of various kinds and to make rational agricultural policies by forecasting and analyzing agricultural population change. Unlike previous studies, which have some assumptions about the giving-up farming rate (GFR) of the key points on the agricultural population model or, After estimating only one equation with respect to the total population, and then distribute by sex and age. This study was conducted to investigate the reactions are different from the farmhouse, gender, age by estimating giving-up farming rate (GFR) equations each gender & age. Through this research, we can find that Farm Population changes of the simulation can be performed for a variety of agricultural policy in conjunction with existing agricultural simulation models as well.
The Design and Development of Online System to Improve Undergraduate Students' Competency

The objective of this study is to develop an on-line system for improving undergraduate students' competency development. After drawing elements necessary for the competency development such as assessment and planning, competency development, analysis of competency assessment, portfolio, analysis of job ability and community, based on the literature research related to competency and the analysis of the existing system, the direction of the system design was set up. The system was developed by using Microsoft Windows operating system in Windows server, ORACLE ver.10 as its database management system, and JSP and JAVA as its programing language. Reviewing errors and improvements of the system, it was modified and complemented. In order to examine the content functional utilization of the final competency development system, the utilization was verified. The competency development system for undergraduate students can be used as on-line space filled with the internalization of knowledge, self-directed competency development, convenience of record management and interactions between students-professors-alumna, owing to its functions such as boosting competency activities, cultivating career-pioneering ability and introspecting. When it is rare to find researches on the competency development system for undergraduate students, it is expected to be helpful to the development of competency education and the career education for undergraduate students as a new alternative for the competency development.
Effect of orthographic, phonological and semantic information on the processes of Korean heteronym

The present study discusses some of important issues in the word recognition such as the roles of the form(orthographic & phonologic) and semantic information by investigating the processes of Korean heteronym. The priming paradigm has been applied to see whether or not there would be facilitatory effect from form and/or semantic information. In experiment 1, orthographically-related or phonologically-related prime stimuli were presented and a lexical decision task for Korean heteronym was conducted. The same procedure was applied for the experiment 2, except the prime stimulus which was semantically-related. The results showed that orthographic and phonologic information did not influence the processing of the heteronym while semantic information facilitated its processing, suggesting that the semantic information plays an important role in the processes of the Korean heteronym.
A Study on the Effects of Company's Actual Response to Customer Complaints on Justice, Trust and Satisfaction

The actual complaint handling response of the company serves as an important success factor for the company to reduce defection rate of customers who have complaints. In this regard, this study sought to divide the company's complaint handling response into substantial compensation, favorable employee behavior and organizational procedures, empirically verify the effects of the customer's justice perception on trust and satisfaction, and thus to present the importance of the company's actual response. To this end, the data obtained from a survey of 210 customers who filed complaints directly to the company was analyzed using SPSS and AMOS. The research results can be summarized as follows. The compensation for customers with complaints has a significant effect on justice, and the favorable employee behavior also has a significant effect on justice. In addition, the organization procedures about handling complaints have a significant effect on justice. Especially the justice as justice perception was found to affect the future behaviors of customers such as trust and satisfaction. Based on these findings, this study presented implications and suggested future research.
Effects of Marketted-pigs per Sow per Year to recognition of Hog Farm Business Management

This study recommends effective ways to establish management strategies by suggesting to hog farm managers the importance of variables' tendency to affect MSY according to hog management. Study subjects included 55 hog farms, which were analyzed using factor and regression analyses to determine each variable's importance (22 total) for hog management, using MSY as the dependent variable. In the analysis result, the main necessary factor controlling MSY improvement was vaccination, followed, according to decreasing significance, by stages of growth classified breeding, thermo-humidity and ventilation control, and veterinary and hygienic control. Based on these results, suggesting the main factors to improve MSY to hog farms will establish management strategies.
Factors affecting re-employment will and re-employment of the elderly workers

This study is an analysis of the factors affecting the re-employment will and re-employment of the elderly workers, using the aging pannel(KLoSA). As a results of the analysis, re-employment will of high school graduates is higher than that of college graduates, but re-employment possibility is lower. This is somewhat contradictory results with other studies. This seems to be influenced by a large number of highly educated baby boomers' retire. 50s' re-employment will was lower than 60s'. As job factors, employed period and scale has a positive effect. In contrast, type of industry, job haven't. In order to induce the re-employment of the elderly, inhibiting expansion of self-employment, job creation, irregular and minimum wage system improvements, Customized services are needed.

In industrial society, the conversation topic of this period is mainly business start up, and revitalization of business start-up, through creation of new jobs, is playing an important role in employment maximization and revitalization of economy in general; one of those inducements is a start-up business incubation system, in whose center exists a start-up business incubator center. Hereupon, this study is intending to contribute to setting up the efficient operation direction and polity line, and provide a clue to a discussion by empirically analyzing the influence of quality level and degree of assistance of a start-up business incubator on satisfaction. For this purpose, this study developed a questionnaire on the basis of the preceding researches and conducted its research targeting a total of 500 valid samples. As a result of doing research, it was found that the quality level and assistance degree of services provided to a move-in company or a preparator of business start-up has a significant influence on satisfaction with the center & support service, and a manager's capabilities and related technology characteristics had a significant influence on satisfaction.
Contemporary Financial Profile and Its Implications on the Level of Corporate Cash Holdings for Korean Chaebol Firms

This study examined one of the contemporary issues on debate to identify any significant financial determinants on the cash holdings of the cheabol firms in the Korean domestic capital markets. Several important findings on the financial characteristics affecting the cash holdings were evidenced by utilizing various methodologies for statistical estimations. Financial or managerial implications with discussion were provided for the pronounced factors such as CASHFLOW, MVBV, REINVEST, and AGENCY. Assuming that the chaebol firms were overall subject to the financial constrains, they may increase or stockpile cash reserves as internal capital for future investment opportunities or repayment of existing debt, rather than external financing burdened by a high cost of capital. Given the on-going controversy on the optimal level of corporate cash holdings coupled with any foreseeable capital transfer among the associated nations through the investment vehicles such the FTAs (Free Trade Agreements) or TPP (Trans-Pacific Pacts), any empirical findings of the study may shed new light on identifying financial determinants which may significantly affect the level of cash holdings for the business conglomerates, the 'chaebol' firms, in the Korean capital markets.

The present study was conducted to assess the relationship between obesity and abdominal obesity and Parathyroid hormone (PTH) in adults aged 50 or older (n=3,305) using 2011 Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES) data, which represents national data in Korea. This study was examined the effects of social capital influenced on health related quality of life of old-old-elderly of more than 70-year-old. The subjects were 258 people of old-old-elderly of more than 70-year-old who dwell in M city. The first, October 15 to November 15, 2013, the second, December 1 to 30, 2014 were surveyed. The data were analyzed with SPSS Statistics 18.0 and the structural equation modeling of AMOS 21.0. The Sobel test was conducted to analyze the statistical significance of the mediated effects. The factors of health-related quality of life were influenced significantly by gender, education level, whether or not exercise, amount of sleeping time, family can be a help request, relatives can be a help request, general trust. In the results of the test of the research model, social capital was found to directly affect health behavior, and health behavior was found to directly affect health related quality of life. Therefore, social capital was found to indirectly affect health related quality of life. Social capital of old-old elderly of more than 70-year-old can be recognized as one of the factors influencing their health related quality of life. The results suggest that policy should be established to increasing the level of social capital and improved the health related quality of life.
Influence of Emotional Intelligence and Ego Resilience on Interpersonal Relationship of Nurses

This purpose of the study is to investigate the influence of emotional intelligence and ego-resilience on interpersonal relationship of nurses. Subjects were 206 nurses in Korea. Data were collected from September 5 to September 20, 2013. Data were analyzed by frequencies, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and multiple regression using SPSS Win 18.0. Interpersonal relationship strong positively correlated with emotional intelligence (r=.600, p<.001) and ego-resilience (r=.421, p<.001) in nurses, emotional intelligence and ego-resilience explained 41.6% of total variance of interpersonal relationship of nurse. Therefore, it is necessary to develop and implement program for improving emotional intelligence and ego-resilience of nurses.
The Effect of Empathy on the Job Stress among Nurses

This study was conducted to identify the effect of nurses' empathy on their job stress. The subjects of this study were 192 nurses working at 5 general hospitals. The empathy and job stress were surveyed by using structured questionnaire from June 1 to August 31, 2014. The nurses' overall job stress was 3.86 out of 5 and among the domains of job stress, stress of relationship with patients and their carer was 4.22, stress of relationship with medical doctors was 4.21, and stress related to nursing tasks was 4.01. Factors influencing job stress were gender, pay satisfaction, perceived amount of workload, and fantasy from empathy. These findings suggest that in order to improve clinical nurses' job stress, there should be organizational efforts to regulate the pay level and workload and to develop programs for lowering perceived job stress among nurses by managing fantasy from empathy.
Suggestion of A Practical Simple Calculation Method for Safe Transportation Time after Radioactive Iodine Treatment in Patients with Thyroid Cancer

When a patient with thyroid cancer is released from isolation after I-131 treatment and return to home using a vehicle, travel time should be controlled to reduce the amount of radiation to accompanying person. As the calculation of appropriate travel time is difficult, there is no patient-specific guideline until now. If we assume that there is no excretion and no physical decay during the relatively short travel time, calculation become quite simple; total radiation dose = dose rate
travel time. Results of this simple calculation and conventional calculation were compared using datum from 120 patients. Travel time calculated by simple method was 56% of conventional method in 0.3 m, 91% in 0.5 m and 96% in 1 m. Simple method was safe. It can be applied easily and also can be applied to the patients with hyperthyroidism treated by I-131.
Factors associated with the prolonged duration of postoperative delirium in patients who underwent orthopedic joint surgery

The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with duration of postoperative delirium following orthopedic joint surgery. This study included 266 patients who underwent orthopedic joint surgery at a single university hospital between January 2012 and February 2014. Patients were divided into two groups according to the duration of delirium: the transient (
days) and prolonged (>3 days) delirium groups. Of the 266 patients, 137 (52%) developed prolonged delirium. Incidence of pre-existing dementia and history of stroke were significantly higher in the prolonged delirium group than in the transient delirium group. In a multivariate regression model, pre-existing dementia and history of stroke were associated with increased duration of delirium. Our findings suggest that medical practitioners should pay special attention to the prevention and management of postoperative delirium in patients who have dementia or stroke and undergo orthopedic joint surgery.
The Incidence and Risk Factors of Metabolic Syndrome in Rural Area

This study was conducted to investigate the incidence rate of metabolic syndrome, and the related factors were examined. 620 persons who had participated in both initial and second survey were selected. Initial survey was performed at the year of 2006 and second survey was performed at the year of 2010. Among them, 460 persons who didn't initially have a metabolic syndrome were selected as the final study subjects. They were classified into 2 categories; stationary normal group (352, 76.5%), and metabolic syndrome incidence group (108, 23.5%). The incidence rate of metabolic syndrome for the subjects was 25.2 per 1,000 person years. Sex, obesity, and smoking had significant effect on the incidence of metabolic syndrome. In multiple logistic regression analysis,after controlling variables, obesity index was found to be major factor in the incidence of metabolic syndrome. The risk of metabolic syndrome was increased by overweight or obesity. The strategy to control body weight should be emphasized for prevention of metabolic syndrome.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of intoxication in SNS and stress of university life on the adaption of university life among university students and presents basic data for helping healthy adaption of university life. A survey was held to the university students in Seoul and Chungcheong cities from October 6 to October 17, 2014. of 235 copies of the questionnaire distributed, a total of 213 copies were in the final analysis. For data analysis, SPSS 21.0 for Windows was used. As a result, there were correlations between variables, the adaption of University life of university students were affected by the intoxication in SNS and stresses of university life. and the largest effect was the academic problem. In conclusion, it is need to development program and counseling with considering academic satisfaction for improving adaption of university life.
Burden and Quality of Life in Terminal Cancer Patient's Family Caregivers in the area of Jeollanam-do

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the burden and quality of life among family caregivers of terminal cancer patients and the relationship of these variables. Methods: Data were collected from 80 family caregivers and analyzed using SPSS 19.0 program. Results: Burden was found to have significant relationships with age, marriage, relations with patients, living together with patients and medical expense burden(p<.05). Quality of life was found to have significant differences according to age, marriage, educational background, relations with patients and living together with patients(p<.05). Burden and quality of life showed a negative correlation(r=-.538, p<.001). Conclusion: These results suggest that more attentions and interventions such as support programs should be given to family caregivers of terminal cancer patients, which can decrease the burden of family caregivers to enhance their quality of life.

This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of simulation integrated with problem based learning in terms of critical thinking, problem solving, learning motivation according to Myers-Briggs type indicator(MBTI) personality type in advanced nursing course students. This study was a non-equivalent control posttest only design. Students were all enrolled in advanced nursing course which included 1) 6 weeks problem based learning 2) 5 weeks simulation integrated with PBL and debriefing. Total 19 students' data were collected and analyzed on SPSS win 21.0. The results showed students who have out patients working experience were significantly higher learning motivation(

, p=.036). Students show various personality types and it might be impact on attitudes of learning and the results. Thus we need to understand their diversity and consider it to apply teaching methods on nursing education.

This study was aimed to investigate the effect of dietary
-glucan obtained from bacterial fermentation on the adiposity and serum lipids level in rats. Sprague-Dawley rats fed high fat diet for 6 weeks to induce obesity, and subsequently fed with 0% (high fat control group), 0.1% or 0.5%
-glucan supplemented high-fat diets (w/w) for another 5 weeks. For comparison, normal control groups fed AIN-76A diet. Supplemented with 0.1%
-glucan resulted in a significant reduction of high-fat induced peritoneal fat and visceral fat development by 16%, 19%, and 28%, respectively(P<0.05). Serum free fatty acid levels were reduced(by 19%), whereas the HDL cholesterol level was increased(by 50%) by 0.1% dietary
-glucan(P<0.05). In conclusion, dietary
-glucan reduced adiposity and improved serum lipids in obese rats fed high fat diet. The present study suggest that
-glucan supplementation to the diet is beneficial in suppressing diet-induced obesity and dyslipidemia.
Influencing Factors of Self-esteem and job stress on Teacher Efficacy for Childcare Teacher

The purpose of this study is to explore degree of childcare teacher's teacher efficacy and the factors influencing of self-esteem and job stress on teacher efficacy of those surveyed. A total of 280 childcare teacher in G do were surveyed. All of this data is analyzed by using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, multiple regression analysis with SPSS WIN/18.0. Teacher Efficacy according to general characteristics of those surveyed revealed significant difference in age, work experience, position, class age, and child parenting experience. Regression analysis showed 11.7% of variance in childcare teacher's teacher efficacy can by experience of dating with self-esteem and job stress. The fallow-up survey about various factors influencing childcare teacher's teacher efficacy is needed and teacher efficacy increasing mediation way are required.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of electric stimulation of abdominal region on the body composition and blood components in obesity. Control group measured pre and post test, and Experimental group I didn't receive electric stimulation in same environment as experimental group II. Experimental group II received electric stimulation on abdominal region. The result, experimental group II showed significant difference in weight, SLM, FFM, waist circumference, WHR, BMI, T-G, HDL-C. And experimental group I showed significant difference in waist circumference, WHR, T-C, and control group didn't show significant difference any variables. Therefore, electric stimulation effects on body composition in obesity persons.
Nursing experience of delivery care for married immigrant women in Korea: An application of focus group interview

This study aimed to describe and understand the clinical nurses' experience of nursing care for delivery of married immigrant women and then provide useful information for making strategies to improve nursing service for the married immigrant women in delivery. Data were collected with three focus group interviews and a few followed individual interviews and analyzed with qualitative content analysis. As a result, the 35 subcategories and 14 categories were extracted and named according to the five main interview questions. Based on the findings, the programs for nurses providing nursing care for married immigrant women in delivery to improve their language and cultural competencies are recommended.
Effects of Self Efficacy, Body Image and Family Support on Postpartum Depression in Early Postpartum Mothers

The purpose of this study was to determine the self efficacy, body image and family support affect on postpartum depression in early postpartum mothers. The data was collected 306 mothers on the first week after delivery from one hospital located in B city. The instruments were a survey of general characteristics, obstetrical characteristics, the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale(EPDS), self-efficacy, body image and family support. Data was analysed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression. The results revealed that the average item score of the EPDS was 6.09. The significant predictors of postpartum depression were body image, emotional state in pregnancy, and family support. These variables had a 38.4% explainability. The results indicate that the postpartum mothers should be screened for postpartum depression early in the postpartum period and it's necessary to implement nursing intervention focused on to enhance the body image and family support, especially the weak emotional state mothers in pregnancy.
Development of a Photoplethysmographic method using a CMOS image sensor for Smartphone

Pulse wave is the physiological responses through the autonomic nervous system such as ECG. It is relatively convenient because it can measure the signal just by applying a sensor on a finger. So, it can be usefully employed in the field of U-Healthcare. The objects of this study are acquiring the PPG (Photoplethysmography) one of the way of measuring the pulse waves in non-invasive way using the CMOS image sensor on a smartphone camera, developing the portable system judging stressful or not, and confirming the applicability in the field of u-Healthcare. PPG was acquired by using image data from smartphone camera without separate sensors and analyzed. Also, with that image signal data, HRV (Heart Rate Variability) and stress index were offered users by just using smartphone without separate host equipment. In addition, the reliability and accuracy of acquired data were improved by developing additional hardware device. From these experiments, we can confirm that measuring heart rate through the PPG, and the stress index for analysis the stress degree using the image of a smartphone camera are possible. In this study, we used a smartphone camera, not commercialized product or standardized sensor, so it has low resolution than those of using commercialized external sensor. However, despite this disadvantage, it can be usefully employed as the u-Healthcare device because it can obtain the promising data by developing additional external device for improvement reliability of result and optimization algorithm.
The Analysis of Hospital Characteristics affecting Blood Transfusion to the patients under Knee or Hip Total Replacement Arthroplasty

The problems related with blood supply shortage and the stability of blood transfusion are on the rise, as it is expected that the blood doners will decrease but the blood use amount for aged population will increase, owing to low birth and aged population increase. The purpose of this study is to analyze the hospital characteristics which affect patients receiving and non-receiving blood transfusion for the knee and hip total replacement arthroplasty. Data were collected from Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service's 2011 sample data, and 5,370 inpatients were abstracted from them. Logistic regression analysis was performed, using SPSS 20. Independent variables used are hospital characteristics variables and patient characteristics variables. Hospital characteristics variables are hospital type, ownership, residence and the number of usable beds, and patient characteristics variables are gender, age, severity, type of anesthesia, main diagnosis, whether or not of anemia and insurance class. At the result of this study, it was found that hospital type, region, gender, age, severity, main diagnosis and whether or not of anemia were the factors that mostly affected the blood transfusion for knee arthroplasty. And hospital type, residence, gender, age, severity, type of anesthesia and whether of not of anemia were the factors that mostly affected the blood transfusion for hip arthroplasty. In addition to that, it is expected that this research which analyzed the present state of blood transfusion and its influence factors are cost effective, and would make a good use of preliminary data for good quality of medical service.
Effects of Short-Term Music Therapy in Fire Fighters with Post-Traumatic Stress Risk

The purpose of this study was to analyze a change in Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) level and the continuity of the effects in music therapy by applying short-term music therapy program in fire fighters with Post-traumatic Stress (PTS). Forty two fire fighters in 3 districts were randomly assigned to experimental group (21 subjects) and control group (21 subjects). Music therapy was applied in totally 10 sessions by two sessions (120 minutes) a day for 5 days. PTS level was measured immediately after the end of program, after 4 weeks, and after 12 weeks. As a result, PTS level has significantly decreased into
right after the music therapy program(p<0.05). And the effect was shown to be continued significantly up to after 4 weeks(
) and after 12 weeks(
)(p<0.05). As a result of research, it is considered that the music therapy is effective approach for reduction in PTS as for fire fighters who belong to the group with high risk of PTSD. Accordingly, the application of regular program for managing fire fighters' mental health is understood to likely to contribute to enhancing the field service competence.
Awareness of Biomedical ethics of Long-term Care Hospital Nurses

The purpose of this study is to examine the awareness of biomedical ethics of long-term care hospital nurses. A survey research was conducted in this study with 183 nurses that worked for over five months at long-term care hospitals located in Gwangju and Jeonnam region. Using SPSS 21.0 program, collected data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, independent t-test and one-way ANOVA.
test and Pearson's correlation analysis were also used for post hoc test. In terms of the awareness of biomedical ethics of the research participants, it was at an above average level. Among the sub-categories of biomedical ethics, awareness of right of life of fetus and awareness of artificial abortion showed most meaningful correlation. It would be necessary to provide bioethics education to new nurses or university students majoring in Nursing at related organizations or college of nursing to help them establish ethical values to seek patients' well-being.
Development of u-Health standard terminology and guidelines for terminology standardization

For understanding of terminology related to u-Health and activating u-Health industry, it is required to develop u-Health standard terminology for communication. The purpose of this study is to develop u-Health standard terminology and provides guidelines for terminology standardization in order to develop the u-Health standard terminology. We finally developed the 187 u-Health standard terminology through the process of data acquisition, term extraction, term refinement, term selection and term management based on reports, glossary and Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) standards about u-Health. As a result, the standard terminology and guidelines of u-Health optimized to the domestic environment were suggested. They included details of definition, classification, components, the methods and principles of the process for u-Health standard terminology. Presented in this study, u-Health standard terminology and guidelines for terminology standardization would assist the cost-reducing of employing terminology and management of it, while making information transfer easy. This would make possible promoting efficient development of u-Health industry in general.

This study aims to examine the trend in household catastrophic medical expenditure according to the healthcare coverage types and its associated factors based on the raw data of the Korean Health Panel over the years 2008 to 2011. Correspondence analysis was used to investigate the trend in the incidence rates of annual catastrophic medical expenditure and generalized estimating equation to examine the factors influencing the incidence of catastrophic medical expenditure. The annual mean incidence rates of household catastrophic medical expenditure were 25.1%, 15.4%, 10.1%, 5.4% and 3.2% in the threshold levels of 10%, 15%, 20%, 30%, and 40% respectively. The incidence rate of household catastrophic medical expenditure was higher when the total annual household income was lower, the education level of the householder was lower, the healthcare coverage type was National Health Insurance, the householder had disability, the age of the householder was older, the number of household members was smaller, the subjective health status of household members was lower, and the prevalence rate of the chronic disease of the household was higher(p<0.05). Therefore, a policy for vulnerable households with older or patient members of chronic diseases should be established.
The factors affecting on Turnover Intention of Nurses Working in Rehabilitation Hospitals

This study is identify the factors affecting the level of their turnover intention of rehabilitation hospitals nurses. Study subjects were 205 nurses at a rehabilitation hospitals three in B city and two in D city. The data was collected from July 1, to July 30, 2014. The data was analyzed using the SPSS win 18.0 program. The mean scores were 3.66 for role conflicts, 3.14 for job satisfaction, and 3.04 for turnover intention. There was weak, positive correlation between the level of role conflicts and that of turnover intention of the respondents. There was relatively strong, negative correlation between the level of job satisfaction and that of turnover intention of the respondents. Total explanation power was 49.8% and the greatest impact on the level of turnover intention of rehabilitation hospital nurses was organizational requirements among the sub-areas of job satisfaction, which accounted for 37.6% alone. It is necessary to develop their organizational job satisfaction for and promote nursing profession, develop a program to improve job satisfaction.
The Relationships between Emotional Labour, Depressive Symptoms and Presenteeism among Counselors in Call Centers

This study examined the level of an emotional labour, depressive symptoms, and presenteeism of counselors working in a call center depending on socio-demographic characteristics, health-related factors, and job-related factors. Especially, the main purpose of a survey was to investigate the relevance to an emotional labour, the level of depressive symptoms and presenteeism. The research subjects were 304 counselors working at two call centers in Daejeon, and the survey was conducted from April 1, 2014 to May 31, 2014, using a structured self-administered questionnaire. As a result, the emotional labour, depressive symptoms and presenteeism experienced by the research subjects had a deep relation to many variables like socio-demographic characteristics, health-related factors and job-related factors. Especially, presenteeism showed a meaningful positive correlation with depressive symptoms and emotional labour factors. According to the result of a hierarchical multiple regression analysis, the meaningful variables related to presenteeism were age, the amount of a physical burden, the level of depressive symptoms, the surface action of an emotional labour. Therefore, to lower down the counselors' presenteeism, the development and implement of a mental healthcare program to control not only depressive symptoms and the level of an emotional labour is urgently needed.
Effects of Schroth 3-Dimensional Exercise on Cubb's Angle, Abdominal Endurance, Flexibility and Balance in Adolescents with Idiopathic Scoliosis

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of 8-week schroth 3-dimensional exercise and ball-sling complex exercise treatment on cobb's angle, abdominal muscle endurance, flexibility and balance in adolescents with idiopathic scoliosis. Thirty subjects with scoliosis were random assignment into one of two experimental groups, either schroth treatment(n=15) or ball-sling complex exercise treatment(n=15). Exercise program was to perform for 8-week and 90min and 3 times per week. The results of this study were as follows; First, cobb's angle was significantly decreased after 8-weeks in schroth treatment(p<.001). And also abdominal muscle endurance(p<.05), flexibility(p<.001) and balance(p<.001) were significantly improve in pre vs. post treatment. Second, the ratio of cobb's angle change was significantly higher in schroth treatment compared to ball-sling complex exercise treatment following 8-weeks(p<.05). These results suggest that although both the schroth treatment and bal-sling complex exercise treatment in adolescents with idiopathic scoliosis can improve on cobb's angle, abdominal muscle endurance, flexibility and balance, but schroth treatment was better than ball-sling complex exercise treatment improving effect of cobb's angle. Therefore, we consider that schroth treatment has more effect of prevention and therapy in idiopathic scoliosis in adolescents.
Catadioptric Omnidirectional Stereo Imaging System and Reconstruction of 3-dimensional Coordinates

An image acquisition by using an optical mirror is called as a catadioptric method. The catadioptric imaging method is generally used for acquisition of 360-degree all directional visual information in an image. An exemplar omnidirectional optical mirror is the bowl-shaped hyperbolic mirror. In this paper, a single camera omnidirectional stereo imaging method is studied with an additional concave lens. It is possible to obtain 3 dimensional coordinates of environmental objects from the omnidirectional stereo image by matching the stereo image having different view points. The omnidirectional stereo imaging system in this paper is cost-effective and relatively easy for correspondence matching because of consistent camera intrinsic parameters in the stereo image. The parameters of the imaging system are extracted through 3-step calibration and the performance for 3-dimensional coordinates reconstruction is verified through experiments in this paper. Measurable range of the proposed imaging system is also presented by depth-resolution analysis.
Transient Stability Enhancement of Power System Connected to a Wind Farm Using STATCOM

To ensure the transient stability of power system connected to a wind farm, wind power plant must be able to supply reactive power at the point of the common coupling(PCC). The reactive power capability of each individual wind turbine may not sufficient to maintain stability. Also, there are large reactive power losses in connection cables between wind farm and PCC. The static synchronous compensator(STATCOM) is considered for transient stability enhancement, because it provides many advantages such as the fast response time and superior reactive power support capability. In this paper, the effectiveness of a STATCOM in enhancing transient stability of power system connected to a wind farm is presented. The results of dynamic simulations show that STATCOM installed at the PCC can enhance transient stability.

Performance analysis of SNR and BER for radiation pattern reconfigurable antenna

This paper presents the communication performance for the radiation pattern reconfigurable antenna in the wearable device measuring bio signal (temperature, blood pressure, pulse etc.) of human body. The operational frequency is 2.4 - 2.5 GHz, which covers Bluetooth communication bandwidth. The maximum gain of the antennas is 1.96 dBi. The proposed antenna is efficiently transmitting and receiving signal by generating two opposite beam directions using two RF switches (PIN diode). Also, we investigated how radiation pattern changes according to three angles (

In this paper, we measured and compared the SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio) and BER (Bit Error Rate) performances of the proposed antennas in the condition between an ideal environment of anechoic chamber and smart house existing practical electromagnetic interferences (Universal Software Radio Peripheral, USRP). Throughout the comparing the results of the measurement of two cases, we found that the SNR is degraded over 5dB in average and BER is increased over ten times in maximum, therefore, it is confirmed that the error rate of receiving signal is increased. The measured results of SNR and BER value in this paper able to expect the performance degrading by the interference from the electromagnetic devices.
The Study on the Improvement of Antireflection Coating Efficiency According to the Angle of Incidence

This paper compares and calculates more precisely the averaged reflectance of antireflection coating with different structure of single and 6 layer assuming the incident angle of light changing from
not like normal incidence as usual case. The reflectivity of AR coating of 6 layers with 180 nm thickness having index profile suggested as linear and quintic function and single layer with same thickness having even index are calculated and compared, when the wavelength of incident light ranges from 400 nm to 1200 nm. As the results the AR coating with 6 layers having quintic(linear) function index profile shows the lower reflectance about 11.6 %(14.6 %) than other index profiles, which is approximately 8 % lower reflectance compared with single layer case(about 19.6 %). This results could be applied for the better antireflection coating design applying to optical devices and filters.

The scale and required functionality of modern systems have increased and become more complicated. To successfully carry out the systems development projects, appropriate systems engineering (SE) and project management (PM) activities are required for the underlying process. In a system development organization, it is an effort to secure the SE & PM capability by adopting the CMMI is an evaluation model of improvement and ability of SE&PM process. To achieve the goal each organization establishes and uses its own organizational standard process, which satisfies the business characteristics. However, in practice, due to the lack of sufficient understanding on the interrelationship among different CMMI process areas, there still exist some difficulties with constructing organization processes. In systems development, the activities of SE are closely related with those of PM. Thus, the processes of SE and PM need to be fully integrated and explicitly linked to each other in order to complete the projects successfully. In this paper, we propose a SE&PM integration process architecture of organization that can be utilized in the system development organization is referenced in the construction of CMMI-based organizational process.

The weapon system has developed by adding various functions because of the warfare change. And, an weapon system test set (WSTS) that is used to test and judge the condition of weapon system also deal with a lot of complex information. However, almost WSTS is developed on the basis of developer-centric. Because of it, it is hard to make a result by apprehending information on WSTS's display. Thus, I proposed a new display of WSTS by adapting the Ecological Interface Design(EID) Methodology to reduce operator's cognitive workload and assure safe testing. WSTS's Display is developed through Information Requirement and Work Domain Model as a result of Work Domain Analysis. The most powerful thing in the new display is that operator can identify his testing and status of WSTS directly. I expect that it reduces operator's cognitive workload and helps safe testing.
A Study on TE Scattering by a Conductive Strip Grating Over a Dielectric Layer

In this paper, the solutions of TE(transverse electric) scattering problems by a condutive strip grating over a dielectric layer are analyzed by using the FGMM(fourier galerkin moment method) and PMM(point matching method) known as a numerical method of electromagnetic fileld. The scattered electromagnetic fields are expanded in a series of floguet mode functions, the boundary conditions are applied to obtain the unknown field coefficients, and the conductive boundary condition is used for the relationship between the tangential electric field and the induced surface current density on the strip. The numerical results for the reflected and transmitted power of zeroth mode analyzed by according as the width and spacing of conductive strip, the relative permittivity and thickness of dielectric layer, and incident angles. Generally, according to the relative permittivity of dielectric layer increased, also the normalized reflected power of zeroth mode increased. To examine the accruacy of this paper, the numerical results of FGMM shown in good agreement compared to those of PMM.

A Study on Information Visualization using Building Information Modeling

The global warming has been recognized as a serious problem. To solve this problem, the country of all the world have conducted techniques such as energy saving and reduction of greenhouse gas. The 30% of total energy is being consumed by buildings domestically and BAS/BEMS are being operated for the management of building energy. But, BEMS is unsatisfactory condition to manage the energy efficiently. In this study, We investigate real application on Chamsaem elementary school as a target buildings and develop 3D Web Browser platform. The spatial information of target buildings is described with used BIM and the energy information is presented for facilities operation and electricity consumption in floor and facility. We perform the quantitative evaluation based on ISO/IEC 9126 and operate this system for two months. in result, energy decreased by about 16%. We expect that the proposed 3D Web Browser system will bring operating efficiency improvement of the current BEMS.

Cost Estimate for alternative in design phase of construction become criterion for profitability and feasibility analysis of projects. Initial design phase performed schematic estimate based on similar data in the past. The quantity take-off according to estimators experience and calculation method are occurred different or missing. IT (Information Technology) technology evolution has been promoting BIM technology in construction. It is changing the paradigm of planning, design, construction and maintenance phase throughout the construction project. A number of studies have been attempted to apply BIM technology in the construction. In this paper, we propose schematic estimation framework linking standard format IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) and estimate related knowledge. As a result, it performs a cost prediction for decision-making in the design phase, and expected to overcome the limitations of previous studies. In addition, it is possible actively coping with changes.
Effects of H-type Sleeper on the Track Behavior

The demand for improved rail transportation safety is growing due to the increased speeds of current railways. In addition, freight trains with heavier axle loads are required to run on conventional railways. In order to meet these requirements, increased rail weights and the application of a CWR system have been introduced on conventional railways. The H type sleeper, which has higher lateral resistance than the existing mono sleepers, has been recently developed to increase track stiffness and reduce track irregularities. In this paper, the effects of a H-type sleeper on track behavior were investigated by 3-Dimensional F.E. analysis.
Dispersibility and Flexural Toughness Evaluation of Fiber Reinforcement Cellular Sprayed Concrete by added Foam

In this paper, dispersibility of steel fiber is improved mixing with form for material development of protection and blast resistant structure sprayed concrete. And it is developed a high toughness cellular sprayed concrete material using steel fiber. Oversupply form for dispersibility improvement of steel fiber is mostly fade away through sprayed, finally it is satisfied with the proper mixing ratio under 3 % ~ 6 %. This is considered for compressive strength and flexural toughness. Test results of compressive strength showed superior strength capability in 28, 56 days, also flexural strength and flexural toughness is great. Then oversupply form is enhanced for dispersibility of steel fiber and I think that it did not cause decreasing of strength. But analysis results of pore structure through image analysis failed for a great spacing factor and specific surface area. This is largely measured in spacing factor because air content have a grate evaporation effect for sprayed.
Permanent Ground Deformation induced by Christchurch Earthquake and Estimation of Underground Water Pipeline Performance in New Zealand

In this study, the performance of underground water pipeline system affected by earthquakes is examined by using data acquired after MW 6.2 February 22, 2011 earthquake in Christchurch, NZ. Water pipeline repair rates, expressed as repairs/km, for different types of pipe are evaluated inside the areas of which liquefaction induced by permanent ground deformation was observed and assessed relative to differential settlement and lateral ground strain, calculated from high resolution LiDAR data acquired before and after each seismic event. The earthquake performance of underground water pipeline systems associated with permanent ground deformation is summarized in this paper. The results show that highly ductile polyethylene water pipelines has a high earthquake performance.
System Implementation Plan for Applying Spatial Information to Road Occupation Permit Administrative Works

Most of the administrative works are executed based on the address. Therefore, spatial information is an essential factor for administrative works. So far, many systems, which apply spatial information to administrative works, have been implemented. However, there is little approach to apply spatial information to road occupation permit works. In this paper, we introduce system implementation plan for applying spatial information to road occupation permit administrative works. System implementation plan includes work analysis, applying scenarios extraction, system function extraction, and datamart construction plans. First, work processes and activities are defined based on the analysis of work handbook. Also, activities are displayed in diagram. Second, scenarios applying spatial information to road occupation permit works are extracted. Third, we derive service functions for system, which realize work processes and applying scenarios. Finally, spatial information datamart construction plan is established. Proposed system implementation plan in this research includes application architecture and part of data architecture. For implementing the system, plan for hardware and software architecture should be studied.
Optimal Life Cycle design of Water Pipe System using Genetic Algorithm

In this study, a model is developed based on Life Cycle Energy Analysis (LCEA) method with Genetic Algorithm (GA) to determine optimal diameter of Water Distribution System (WDS). For hydraulic analysis the EPANET2.0 program is linked with developed model, pipe-aging equation and pipe-breakage equation are built in to developed model to simulate pipe change through life cycle. The model is then applied to two sample WDSs for optimal energy design. After determining optimal diameter for each WDS, the total cost is calculated based on determined diameter and compared with well-known optimal diameter set of each WDS. Results show that optimal energy design of WDSs through the developed model can be an alternative option for optimal design of WDSs for reducing energy with lower in cost.

Due to the rapid advance in web and mobile computing technologies, normal users have become to produce, provide, and share a varied form of spatial data and information. In the domain of spatial information, numerous researches on GIS have been conducted to provide spatial information services based on a geo-sensor network and a data integration and processing technology. However, to provide user-oriented information, a context information model is necessary to associate GIS data with web and sensor data. Context awareness services is designed to provide specific information, minimizing users' interference. For which, the context information model expresses the relationship of various data from sensor networks and mobile applications and provides a user-specific information considering location and area of interest. Thus, this research aims to develops a context information model based air-pollution information system that obtains and analyses air pollution data and reflects the analysis results on an air-pollution policy. Also, this system aims to raise citizens' awareness on air-pollution and to promote citizens' participatory to improve city's air quality.
Characteristics of Concrete Sidewalk Block Manufactured Using Stone Powder Sludge and photocatalytic agent

This study examined the efflorescence characteristics of a concrete sidewalk block manufactured using recycled stone powder sludge and photocatalytic generated by surface polishing during the sidewalk block manufacturing process. The study evaluated the characteristics of the sidewalk block in terms of its quality, based on the amount of stone powder sludge used, efflorescence, and further based on the mixing ratio and number of applications of the photocatalytic. The experimental results indicated that heavy metals such as lead, hexavalent chrome, cadmium, and mercury were not present in the concrete sidewalk block, thereby confirming the effectiveness of the recycled stone powder sludge. The optimum mixing ratio of used in the concrete sidewalk block (for satisfying KS standard values such as water absorption ratio and flexural strength) was found to be 20%. The concrete sidewalk block incorporating the stone powder sludge and photocatalytic exhibited a water absorption ratio of 5.4% and flexural strength of 5.2 MPa, thereby satisfying the quality standards. Additionally, when the photocatalytic was used, efflorescence did not occur even at the low temperature of
, and the by the sidewalk block was found to be 70% under normal conditions and 68% when subjected to an accelerated weathering test.

In this study, an experiment which utilized glass fiber reinforced polymer(GFRP) plank as the permanent formwork of cast-in-place high strength concrete structures was performed. The GFRP plank currently being produced has smooth surface so that it causes problems in behavior with concrete. Therefore, this research analyzed the flexure/shear failure behavior of composite beams, which used GFRP plank as its permanent formwork and has short shear span ratio, by setting the sand coated at GFRP bottom surface, the perforation and interval of the GFRP plank web, and the width of the top flange as the experimental variables. As a result of the experiments for effectiveness of sand attachment in case of not perforated web, approximately 47% higher ultimate load value was obtained when the sand was coated than not coated case and bending/shear failure mode was observed. For effectiveness of perforation and interval of gap, approximately 24% higher maximum load value was seen when interval of the perforation gap was short and the fine aggregate was not coated, and approximately 25% lower value was observed when the perforation gap was not dense on the coated specimen. For effectiveness of top flange breadth, the ultimate load value was approximately 17% higher in case of 40mm than 20mm width.
Effects of Control Methods of Outdoor Air Cooling System on Energy Consumption in Building

In this study, the effects of various control methods of outdoor air cooling control system on control characteristics and energy consumption in building are researched by simulation. The system analysis modelling is done by using TRNSYS program package, and the control performances with existing outdoor air cooling methods are compared with the control ones without outdoor air cooling. As a result, appropriate operating temperature conditions of outdoor air cooling system according to outdoor temperature changes are required, and the outdoor air/return air dry bulb temperature comparison control method among the control methods shows best responses in energy savings.

In this study, the optimal control method for minimizing of energy consumption for central cooling system with proper occupant comfort level is researched by simulation. The optimal control method is that the optimal set temperatures such as the condenser water temperature, supply air temperature, and chilled water temperature with environment variable change such as outdoor air dry-bulb and wet-bulb temperatures are obtained by suggested optimal control algorithm with maximum and part building load. The TRNSYS program is used for system modeling and the control performances with the suggested optimal control method are compared with the existing control method of fixed set points. The suggested optimal control method shows better responses in energy consumption in comparison with existing control ones.
The Development of Fixing Equipment of the Unit Module Using the Probability Distribution of Transporting Load

Prefabricated houses are fabricated at the factory for approximately 60 to 80% of the entire construction process, and assembled in the field. In the process of transporting and lifting, internal and external finishes of the unit module are concerned about damages. The purpose of this study is to improve the fixing equipment by analyzing load behavior. The improved fixing equipment would minimize the deformation of internal and external finishes. In order to develop the improved fixing equipment, transporting load on the fixing equipment is analyzed using Monte Carlo simulations, and structural performance is verified by the non-linear finite element analysis. Statistical analysis shows load distribution of unit module is similar with extreme value distribution. Based on the statistical analysis and Monte Carlo simulation, the maximum transporting load is 28.9kN and 95% confidence interval of transporting load is -1.22kN to 9.5kN. The nonlinear structural analysis shows improved fixing equipment is not destructed to the limit load of 35.3kN and withstands the load-bearing in the 95% confidence interval of transporting load.
A Study on the Effectiveness of Injection in Environmentally-Friendly Bio-grouting with Soil Conditions

The purpose of this research is to identify the effectiveness of injection with soil conditions by injecting CaCO3(created by microorganism reaction), which was recreated with equipment in similar situ condition. To analyze our research, we made 2 cases of single-layer (SP, SW) in D 150mm
H 300mm. Layers were made by RC 70, 80, 85, 90, 95% of soil condition. We measured uniaxial compression strength with cone penetrometer and watched injection range by checking a bulb formation around the injection nozzle. As a result, the relative compaction(RC) in more 85% were not injected in SW, we could identify the effect of bio-grouting technology on ground in relative compaction(RC) of injection ratio and cementation range.

Recently, due to a decline in traditional industrial function and recession of the real estate business, urban coastal settlement areas have been promoted in a regeneration way using historical cultural values rather than overall development approach. This study investigated the regional assets of water-front area around Yeongdodaegyo Bridge in Yeongdo-gu, Busan and classified them into physical social economic assets and then, presented the integrated regeneration approach that can increase the place value of this area. First, physical regeneration proposed a regional revitalization plan by considering place and cultural characteristics and second, social regeneration by considering the regional brand through storytelling and third, economic regeneration by considering historical cultural characteristics. Regional assets-based culture experience can be provided by building cultural tourism infrastructure through this and local economy and local community activation can be expected by providing urban vitality base of coastal settlement areas.

EEG has been used to measure the emotion of amenity and discomfort in the interior space. EEG is limited to the experiment, because it is a equipment of contact type. However, Vibraimage can measure the emotion with a web camera. Because Vibraimage is a equipment of non-contact type, it is more suitable for the interior space than EEG. Fundamental Properties on the Development of High Performance Shrinkage Reducing Agent for Concrete

The expenses of maintenance and reinforcement for aged concrete structures are significantly on the increase as their durability and general performance has been naturally degraded. Due to this reason, interests on concrete crack reduction technology are growing but more researches are required to fulfill such fast growing demands. Particularly in the underground power facilities, it is difficult to maintain the quality of aging concrete spheres for underground power as their deterioration caused by long-term operation is on-going. In recent years, many studies have been made to overcome the issues and now it is determined that the shrinkage reducing technology which can dramatically reduce the crack at the design stage is one of the most effective solutions. In this study, the test investigated fundamental propertiesof concrete using various shrinkage reducing materials to develop low shrinkage mortar. According to results of experimental study, for mortar and concrete, glycol based material showed excellent shrinkage property and compressive strength. For the later study to generic application of the shrinkage reducing materials, performance reviews on the shrinkage reducing materials with variable factors and various materials such as changes in the amount and type of materials should be followed.
Comparative Study on Complex Designs in the Competition Design Plans of Taekwondo Parks

Designing a complex begins with plans to differentiate the archetypical place in accordance with environmental characteristics of the area where target programs and districts are to be located, with which the space reformed with the change and development of the era is established and shaped. In particular, in the area such as our domestic land, some 70% of which is inclined has adopted the design concept that uses slopes with the stream of times and has sought design strategies that consistently interpret and approach slopes. Taegwondo Park, the target of this study, has collected six draft design plans during the design stage with different values and thus strategies of utilizing topographies and spaces differentiated accordingly. Particularly, approaching strategies in accordance with geographical features by designer, the relationship between architecture and external space to be implemented according to the rank, philosophical understanding of architects and design strategies as the concept of iconizing the area carry significant implications as major design strategies explored by this study, through which I was able to identify the possibility of materializing the design strategy for hill lands.
A Numerical Study on Safety Evaluation of Prefabricated Sewage-Pipe Plastic Foundation Based on Pipe Diameters and Buried Soil Depths

Improper backfill materials and compaction controls under pipelines have become one of the major causes of failure in many sewage pipeline systems. A study on backfill materials and compaction controls has been considered for a long time. However, structural supporters under the pipe were recently concerned because of pipeline repair and maintenance. This paper presents a prefabricated plastic foundation for supporting a sewage pipe system and increasing the performance function of the pipes. Several analytical models for the plastic foundations were investigated using finite-element program, ABAQUS, for checking safety. Comparing with the results of analyses, some of economic design sections based on the sizes of pipe diameters, 600mm, 700 and 600mm, were evaluated. These results could be applied to a pipeline system with a prefabricated plastic foundation with respect to pipe diameters and buried depths.
A staining method to determine marine microplanktonic organism viability and investigate the efficacy of a ship's ballast water treatment system

We determined a method to determine marine planktonic organism viability using Evan's blue, Aniline blue, and 5-choromethyfluorescein diacetate (CMFDA). The Evan's blue and Aniline blue methods produced bright blue light for dead phytoplankton and zooplankton and were the best dyes to detect dead cells. The staining efficiency of Evan's blue and Aniline blue were
of the original field sample. However, it was difficult to test the efficiency of a ship's ballast water treatment system because detection of living cells. In contrast, the CMFDA method, which is based on measuring cell esterase activity using a fluorimetric stain, was the best dye to detect live cells of almost all phytoplankton species, and staining efficiency was 70%. The CMFDA method is similar to the fluorescein diacetate (FDA) staining method. Therefore, we estimated viability of phytoplankton species using a double-staining method by combining CMFDA and FDA to determine optimum staining efficiency. As a result, the frequency of dying cells based on the double-staining method was 95%, which was significantly higher than that of single CMDFA staining. Our results suggest that a CMDFA + FDA assay is more effective to determine survival of marine plankton and that this method was applicable to investigate the efficacy of a ship's ballast water treatment system.

The objective of this study was to investigate
concentrations in the classrooms of 286 elementary schools in Suwon, Ansan, and Hwaseong in the province of Gyeonggi between August 2008 and December 2012. By gaining an understanding of the environmental factors that influence these concentrations, this study also aimed to establish a management plan for indoor air quality in schools, which substantially affects the health of elementary students. When the schools were classified by region, no statistically significant difference in
concentration was observed. However,
concentration was relatively high in industrial areas and low in rural areas. No difference in
concentration was observed among the surveyed cities. Analysis of annual
concentration showed that the highest values for Suwon and Hwaseong occurred in 2008 and 2009, respectively (p<0.01). In the case of Ansan, the highest concentration occurred during 2009, but the difference was not significant compared to the other years. Analysis of the annual
concentration of each city shows no significant difference among the cities (p-value=0.366,0.730,0.210). According to a time series analysis of
by season, from autumn 2008 to winter 2012,
concentration was high during 2009, then it gradually decreased until 2012, and started to increase again. While no difference in annual
concentration was observed, the concentration had a tendency to be higher in spring and winter than in summer. By analyzing the relationship between
and the environmental factors (years of construction, average students of classroom, temperature, and humidity), it showed a significant negative correlation was found between
