New lithography technology to fabricate arbitrary shapes of patterns in nanometer scale
Journal of the Korea Academia-Industrial cooperation Society, volume 5, issue 3, 2004, Pages 197~203
New lithography techniques are employed for the patterning of arbitrary shapes in nanometer scale. When, in the photolithography, the electromagnetic waves such as UV and X-ray are incident on the mask patterned in nanometer scale, the diffraction effect is unavoidable and degrades images of the mask imprinted on wafer. Only a convex lens is well-known Fourier transformer. It is possible to make the mask Fourier-transformed with the convex lens, even though the size of pattern on the mask is very large compared to the wavelength of electromagnetic wave. If the mask, modified according to new technique described in this paper, was placed at the front of the lens and was illuminated with laser beam, the nanometer-size patterns are only formed on the plane called Fourier transform plane. The new method presented here is quite simple setup and comparable with present and next generation lithographies such as UV/EUV photolithograpy and electron projection lithography when compared in attainable minimum linewidth. In this paper, we showed our theoretical research work in the field of Fourier optics, . In the near future, we are going to verify this theoretical work by experiments.

Decrease of retain austenite by sub-zero treatment in STS3 did not occured.
Computer Modeling of Impurity Diffusion in Poly-silicon for Display Devices
Journal of the Korea Academia-Industrial cooperation Society, volume 5, issue 3, 2004, Pages 210~217
This paper presents a simulation methodology for the poly-silicon oriented TCAD(technology-CAD) system. A computer simulation environment for the poly-silicon processing has been set up with the proper adoption of the two-stream model for ion-doping, diffusion, and defects inside of grain and on the grain boundary. After the simulator calibration, simulation results for the poly-silicon diffusion has showed a good agreement with the SIMS data.
Effects of the mold surface heating methods for the DVD stamper with nano pattern on the transcription of the injection molded parts using COC and PMMA plastics
Journal of the Korea Academia-Industrial cooperation Society, volume 5, issue 3, 2004, Pages 218~222
We developed the stamper structured mold with moving core type with nano pattern. Among the factors affecting the quality of injection molding plastic parts, We studied the effects of moving core surface heating method on the transcription of injection molding plastic parts with nano structures. Moving core surface heating has been tested by three different methods. The first was conventional injection molding process without heating moving core surface, the second was halogen lamp radiation heating process and the last was MmSH process using gas flame. As a result of making injection molded parts by using thermoplastic amorphous resins such as COC, PMMA, MmSH method which is the most high temperature of moving core surface showed the best nano pattern transcription of the three methods, but the outcome of conventional injection molding process was not better than others.
A study on PDMS mold fabrication using thermal embossing method
Journal of the Korea Academia-Industrial cooperation Society, volume 5, issue 3, 2004, Pages 223~226
Injection molding using plastic materials was expected to mass production of structure with nano pattern for low cost phase. The PDMS mold was produced easily and uniformly by using thermal embossing. Quartz master for embossing method was made using electron beam lithography it had 100-500 nm size of line and dot type. The PDMS mold was produced after a brief hardening process and the master removal. The results show that various patterns are successfully fabricated the nano scale.. The replicated mold would be useful a stamper fabrication for injection molding.
The Study on a Flow-rate Calculation Method by the Pump Power in the Axial Flow Pumps
Journal of the Korea Academia-Industrial cooperation Society, volume 5, issue 3, 2004, Pages 227~231
It is the common features of the integral reactors that the main components of the RCS are installed within the reactor vessel, and so there are no any flow pipes connecting the steam generator or the pump whose type is the axial flow. Due to no any flow pipes, it is impossible to measure the differential pressure at the RCS of the integral reactors, and it also makes impossible measure the flow-rate of the reactor coolant. As a alternative method, the method by the measurement of the pump power of the axial flow pump has been introduced in this study. Up to now, we did not found out a precedent which the pump power is used for the flow-rate calculation at normal operation of the commercial nuclear power plants. The objective of the study is to embody the flow-rate calculation method by the measurement of the pump power in an integral reactor. As a result of the study, we could theoretically reason that the capacity-head curve and capacity-shaft power curve around the rated capacity with the high specific-speeded axial flow pumps have each diagonally steep incline but show the similar shape. Also, we could confirm the above theoretical reasoning from the measured result of the pump motor inputs. So, it has been concluded that it is possible to calculate the flow-rate by the measurement of the pump motor inputs.

Journal of the Korea Academia-Industrial cooperation Society, volume 5, issue 3, 2004, Pages 241~246
We have designed LED display system using ARM7TDMI processor and implemented hangul input and output. This system is easily extensible because controller board and LED matrix board were designed one module. Possible Input Methods of LED display system are PC, PDA and remote controller's wired and wireless communication. We have ported QT/Embedded 2.3.7 with touch panel Input at embedded board of Linux OS 2.4.18 and PXA255 Processor based. QT Application which we coded is able to input displaying text using ethernet communication on embedded system. Many of indicating text data is able to be saved because only korean alphabet codes are stored for data which users want displaying.
A Study on Global-Transaction Model for the Web-Based Reliable Reservation Service
Journal of the Korea Academia-Industrial cooperation Society, volume 5, issue 3, 2004, Pages 247~253
This paper mainly deals with a transaction model for the reliability guarantee in a Web-Based Real-Time Reservation Service System. We suggest the Web-Based Global Transaction Model which binds up each transaction currently divided by a function into one transaction and deals with one transaction. Also, we propose a Fail-Check Process in order to deal with the exceptions to be happened in a transaction process. And the simulation shows us that the model which we suggest is feasible and possible through the transaction processing procedure.
Effects of Malty Culture supplementation diets during lactation on sow and litter performance
Journal of the Korea Academia-Industrial cooperation Society, volume 5, issue 3, 2004, Pages 254~259
This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of supplemented diets with Malty Culture(MC) during lactation on sow and litter performance. Eighteen lactating sows were randomly assigned to three dietary treatments(basal diet, basal diet+MC0.5%, basal+MCl.0%). Average daily feed intake of sow was not affected by dietary treatments with treatment means ranging from 4.49 to 4.58kg(p>0.62). All sows lost their backfat thickness during lactation with no difference among the treatments(p>0.25). Fecal moisture was similar for sows fed the control and MC treatments with 70% moisture content. The growth rate of piglets was not significant difference among the treatments ranging from 47 to 48kg. Day to estrus postweaning was not affected by supplementation of MC with treatment means ranging from 5 to 7 days. There was not significant difference in the milk production(i.e, 8.9kg/d for control, 9.18kg/d for MC0.5 and 9.20kg/d for MC1.0). Survivability of piglet was affected by feeding added MC during lactation. There was no significant difference in the digestibility of DM, but the digestibility of N tended to increase in sows fed the MC0.5 and MC1.0 supplemented diets compared to the basal diet(linear effect, p<0.10; quadratic effect. p<0.08). Digestibility of P tended to increase by the treatment of supplemented MC. However, there was no significant difference among the treatments. In conclusion, the results of experiment suggest that lactation diet of supplemented MC could be a beneficial feeding for digestibility in sow and litter performance.
A Study on the Numerical Friction Model in the Drawing
Journal of the Korea Academia-Industrial cooperation Society, volume 5, issue 3, 2004, Pages 260~265
In order to analyze the shaped drawing process, it is necessary that the friction boundary condition between dies and blanks should be worked out the accurate numerical friction models. But, the existing numerical models of the drawing may be large different from the actual conditions. In this paper, accurate analysis of the drawing process should be subjected. It is to develop accuracy of the numerical friction models and potentialize to apply for the high speed forming work in the drawing process. Therefore, the results should improve the accuracy, cause the energy saving for the drawing process and finally expand the applying areas of the results.
Adaptive Observer Based Longitudinal Control of Vehicles
Rhee, Hyoung-Chan ;
Journal of the Korea Academia-Industrial cooperation Society, volume 5, issue 3, 2004, Pages 266~272
In this paper, an observer-based adaptive controller is proposed to control the longitudinal motion of vehicles. The standard gradient method will be used to estimate the vehicle parameters such as mass, time constant, etc. The nonlinear model between the driving force and the vehicle acceleration will be chosen to design the state observer for the vehicle velocity and acceleration. It will be shown that the proposed observer is exponentially stable, and that the adaptive controller proposed in this paper is stable by the Lyapunov function candidate. It will be proved that the errors of the relative distance, velocity and acceleration converge to zero asymptotically fast, and that the overall system is also asymptotically stable. The simulation results are presented to investigate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
