Design of Speed Observer and Controller for AC Servo System by Rapid Design System

In this paper, design of speed observer and controller for AC servo system by rapid design system(RG-01D) using DSP of Realgain company is introduced. 'AC Servo-Designer' system, including CEMTool/SIMTool S/W, RG-DSOPIO board, AC servo driver and AUTOTool program, is used in this research. Because 'AC Servo-Designer' system can use SIMTool blocks to design and implement various controller in short time, speed observer and controller for AC servo system is easily designed and implemented according to control objectives.

A Study on the Fabrication of Porous Sintered Materials for Glass Mold

A Study on the physical characteristics of foaming glass by recycling waste glass

In the study of foaming a general waste glass, sample 1 to 5 were made in a various foaming conditions, measurements of pH, density, compressive strength, thermal conductivity, and the sound absorption rate were carried out. Sample I showed the most small pore, and sample 5 showed pores of 3 times larger than that of sample 1. In terms of pore size, Sample 5 was foamed mostly well, but except lower density compressive strength, efficiency of sound absorption, testing in sound room were obtained below the minimum values is lower. In the case of Sample 1 it showed

Analysis of the Ionized Fields around HVDC Transmission Line by the Use of the Charge Simulation Method

This paper analysed the ionized fields around HVDC transmission line by the use of the charge simulation method. As this is very complex and expressed by a non-linear partial differential equations, it is hard to solve problems analytically. So, we developed a computer program which can apply in multi-polar HVDC transmission line with conductor bundles and calculated conductor surface gradient, corona current density and ion charge density to prove validity of a proposed algorithm in this paper.
A Web-Based Data Backup Method

In this paper, we present web based data management method, which is composed of two type backup and restoration. This method support data management through web browser and provides systematic, efficient and stable data management on web.
Test on Characteristics of Delta Conversion UPS System

In this paper, test on characteristics of 3-phase line-interactive UPS system, known as delta conversion UPS system, is studied. Delta conversion UPS system is new line-interactive UPS system using two series-parallel PWM converters instead of using series inductor in conventional single conversion line-interactive UPS system. It is known that the characteristics of input and output in delta conversion UPS system is much improved by controlling source current of AC lines directly. Here the results on load test, normal/backup mode test, and normal/bypass mode test, which are very important in the test on characteristics of UPS system, is presented. And finally overall evaluation on delta conversion UPS system is given.
Development of Dry Films of Lead-free Transparent Dielectrics for PDP

Dry film method was applied to fabricate lead-free transparent dielectric fur PDP(Plasma Display Panel). From various slurry compositions, it was able to find out the. best composition for producing high density green sheet. The slurry exhibited shear thinning characteristics which are known to be suitable fur producing a high quality green sheet. The thermal expansion coefficient of the fabricated transparent dielectric was measured to be
which is close to the value of the glass substrate(PD-200). Cross sectional SEM of the transparent dielectric layer on PD-200 showed that the two layers were well attached each other with no observable gaps between them.
An Improvement of the Deviation of Response Time on Multimedia Application e-Learning

According to use of a multimedia content being increased in an e-learning, a size deviation of a content to provide in an e-teaming system is increased. It is becoming a factor to drop efficiency of education because this makes a deviation of response time on an e-learning user. Therefore, studies about a deviation improvement of user response speed is necessary in the e-learning system that used a multimedia content. In this study, we designe the hybrid e-teaming system that used multi-layed structire. A proposed system is based on a characteristics of media and size of a content that a multimedia data had. Also, it proved superiority of performance through experimentation.
A Genetic Approach for Intelligent Load Redistribution Method in Heterogeneous Distributed System

Load redistribution algorithm is a critical factor in computer system. In a receiver-initiated Toad redistribution algorithm, receiver(underloaded processor) continues to send unnecessary request messages for load transfer until a sender(overloaded processor) is found while the system load is light. Therefore, it yields many problems such as low cpu utilization and system throughput because of inefficient inter-processor communications until the receiver receives an accept message from the sender in this environment. This paper presents an approach based on genetic algorithm(GA) for dynamic load redistribution including self-adjustable in heterogeneous distributed systems. In this scheme the processors to which the requests are sent off are determined by the proposed GA to decrease unnecessary request messages.
Performance Analysis of Packet Scheduling Algorithm Based on Delay and Fairness

High-speed Portable Internet system provides 1-3 Mbps data transmission speed to terminals moving up to 60 km/sec. Since High-speed Portable Internet system supports services requiring different QoS, it needs an efficient scheduling method based on those different QoSs. This paper shows the performance comparisons of several different packet scheduling schemes for minimizing the mean delay over the downlink of High-speed Portable Internet system to support the packet data service. Simulation results show that proposed scheme superior to other schemes at side throughput and data loss rate.

A Study on the Analysis of Anisotropic Thin and Thick Shells

In this study, it is presented analysis results of bending problems in the anisotropic thick shell and the anisotropic thin shell bending problems. In the numerical analysis of various mechanical problems involving complex partial differential equations, finite element method is used. Both Kirchoffs assumptions and Mindlin assumptions are used as the basic governing equations of bending problems in the anisotropic shells. The analysis results are compared between the anisotropic thick shells and the anisotropic thin shells for the various width-thickness ratios. The numerical method of this study will be contributed not only to analysis the bending behavior of anisotropic shells but also to design the anisotropic shells.
A Propagation Behavior of Crack in Material with Holes or Another Materials

This study investigates the behavior of fatigue crack propagating between holes or holes lilted with another materials. It is experimentally and analytically confirmed that the center crack stops when its tip reaches near the center line of the holes and a small crack is initiated from the boundaries of holes or the holes filled with another materials and it propagates to final fracture. The mechanical behaviors of center crack near the another materials are also investigated. The phenomenon that this crack propagates to fracture is investigated by compliance method.
A Dynamic Behavior of Rubber Component with Large Deformation

Large displacement and rigidity about rubber component are expected by nonlinear and large deformation analysis in this study. Rubber is also used by the model of Mooney-Rivlin and the self contact between rubbers is established. There is the friction between rigid body and rubber, wall and floor. The nonlinear simulation analysis used in this study is expected to be widely applied in design, analysis and development of several rubber components which are used in automotive, railroad, and mechanical elements etc. By utilizing this method, time and cost can also be saved in developing new rubber product. The analysis of rubber components requires special material modeling and non-linear finite element analysis tools that are quite different from those used for metallic parts. The objective of this study is to analyze the rubber component with large deformation and non-linear properties.
Calculation of J-Integral by CMOD at Impact Behavior of 3-Point Bend Specimen

The J-integral used as a ductile crack initiation criterion has been discussed for the impact loaded elastic-plastic 3PB specimens. The experimental method to measure or estimate the J-integral history has been investigated and its result has been compared to the obtained elastic-plastic values by the finite element model of this study. These numerical results and the experimental curves are found to agree closely. J-integral can be calculated by only numerical analysis with the finite element model. It is proved that simple calculation can be made in order to find the possible value of J-integral by crack mouth opening displacement(CMOD) in the dynamic nonlinear fracture experiment of 3-point bend(3PB) specimen. The property of elastic-plastic material is considered at different impact velocities. The J-integral may be estimated from the crack mouth opening displacement which can be measured directly kom photographs taken during impact experiments.
System Design for the Implementation of Virtual Laboratory

Virtual Laboratory is the new concept in the field of Control & Measurement as network technology development, it is used in many university and institute nowadays. It is possible to control and measure the instrument in anywhere, anytime by the use of Virtual Laboratory and we can raise the efficiency of experiment. In this paper, we review the concept and necessity of Virtual Laboratory at first and discuss about how we can implement Virtual Laboratory. Then we design framework of Client-Server based Virtual Laboratory fur operating of remote instrument through network, and finally we suggest system model of Virtual Laboratory capable of controlling & monitoring of instrument.
Manufacture of Rotary Compressor Side Block using CAD/CAM

The object of this study is in introduce CAD/CAM application technology for manufacturing rotary compressor side block. CAM systems consist of CAD(Solidworks), CAM(I-MASTER) software and CNC milling machine. CAM software is used to simulate the tool path and generate G-code for CNC programming.
Developing die and Peripheral Equipment Used for the Manufacture of Octagonal Outlet Boxes

This paper deals with the development of manually operated die used for the manufacture of octagonal boxes into two sets of automated die. In particular, theoctagonal boxes are used fur the switch boxes intended fur the cable conduit of buildings or f3r wiring connection. Manufacturing these boxes requires forming the materials using the primary press before they undergo 2nd through 6th processing by the press machine including the four sides of the octagonal outlet box and bending. Such complicated process hikes up labor cost, slows down production, and results in defect rate of
or higher; hence the overall rise in manufacturing cost. Moreover, workers avoid this type of work due to the roar and vibration coming from the press and the risk of accident. To eliminate such phenomenon, a CAM die made by integrating five sets of die into one set of die and an automatic conveyor system were developed. As a result, unmanned work was realized with only two units of press and two sets of die; thus solving the problem of work being avoided and saving on manufacturing cost.
