Computational Fluid Dynamic Analysis of Cooler Jacket

The objective of this study is CFD analysis of CPU cooler jacket. The ANSYS code using was for this CFD analysis. In order to analysis of CPU cooler jacket, many variables such as boundary condition, conductivity, mass density, specific heat were considered. This analysis results are compare to small inner size jacket and large inner size Jacket.
3차원적 도핑 분포 측정을 위한 SCM 응용 방법

Through SCM modeling, we found that the depletion layer in silicon was of a form of a spherical capacitor with the SCM tip biased. Two-dimensional (2D) finite differential method code with a successive over relaxation (SOR) solver has been developed to model the measurements by SCM of a semiconductor wafer that contains an ion-implanted impurity region. Then, we theoretically analyzed the spherical capacitor and determined the total depleted-volume charge Q, capacitance C, and the rate of capacitance change with bias dC/dV. It is very important to observe the depleted carriers' movement in the silicon layer by applying the bias to the tip. So, we calculated the depleted-volume charge, considering different factors such as tip size, oxide thickness, and applied bias (dc+ac), which have an influence on potential and depletion charges.
Development of the Interconnection Evaluation System for Dispersed Generations in Distribution Systems

Recently, new dispersed sources (DSG) such as Photovoltaic, Wind Power, fuel cell etc. are interconnected with distribution systems as national projects for alternative energy preparing for oil crisis. This paper deals with the optimal evaluation algorithms in the case where new dispersed sources are operated in distribution systems. It is very difficult and complicated to handle the interconnection issues for proper voltage managements, because professional skills and enormous amounts of data for the evaluations are required. The typical evaluation algorithms mainly depending on individual ability and quality of data acquired, inevitably cause the different results f3r the same issue, so unfair and subjective evaluations are unavoidable. In order to overcome these problems, this paper proposes reasonable and general algorithms based on the standard model system and proper criterion, which offers the fair and objective evaluations in any case.

In this paper, to improve the variable and remote controllable digital power-supply design. It is able to RS-232 communication for remote control. And it can also observe the correct power. Finally, it intend to high ratio design that compare input power with output power. There are especially useful solution in korea to be under the unstable voltage environment.
Selective Dispersion of Carbon Nanotubes by Octadecylainine

We separated semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes(sem-SWCNT) from the HiPco-SWCNTS by dispersion with octadecylamine(ODA). The mixture of acid-treated SWCWTS and ODA was heated at
for 120hours. ODA physisorbs selectively on the side-wall of sem-SWCNTS. The ODA-treated CNTs were dispersed in tetrahydrofuran(THF) via sonication. The ODA-physisorbed sem-SWCNT can be retained in the supernatant of THF, but met-SWCNT and unabsorbed sem-SWCNT were precipitated in THF. Raman spectra with 514 nm and 1074 nm were investigated. The amount of sem-SWCNT in the supernatant and precipitant was about 94 % and 50 %, respectively.
Implementation of 3D Fashion Show Animation Based on Web using Similar Modeling

In this paper, we propose implementation of 3D fashion show animation based on web which needs a construction of 3D fashion shopping mall. The 3D model made by 3D MAX program was exported XML type and displayed on web using ActiveX of D3D library. For the purpose of fashion show animation of 3D model in various clothes which selected by customer of shopping mall, we design the parts of standard clothes with hierarchical structure and assemble them. Next, we are mapping the various textures to them and animate 3D model in similar clothes which selected by customer on web.

Parameter extraction using the ASE spectrum Modelling for various DFB-type LDs

We present simulation results for a method designed to extract key parameter values of DFB-type LDs based on ASE spectrum measurements. Comparisons were made between the given (actual) and the extracted (estimated) parameters, as well as the associated spectra, fur a variety of DFB-type LDs, and the two sets of results were found to be in excellent agreement.
An Analysis of Cross-eye Characteristics for Electronic Protection of Radar

This paper presents a cross-eye characteristics of multi-path wave scattering. Cross-eye method uses the phase differences of multi signals and is used fur electronic protection. When a signal is propagated from transmitter to receiver on the ground surface, direct wave and reflected wave signals are combined in front of the receiving antenna with different phases. To calculate and control the amplitude and phase of reflected signal, we have developed a cross eye electronic protection method for radar system and studied the variation of electric power density.

Elastic Lateral Buckling Strength of Singly Stepped Beams with Load Height Effect

New design equations for calculating the lateral-torsional buckling moment resistances of singly stepped I-section beams subjected to general loading on the top flange are suggested based on the investigations of elastic finite-element analyses. The new equations presented in this study are compared with current moment gradient modifiers presented by other researchers and specifications. The study considered almost loading cases on buildings and bridges. The proposed equations should be easily used to calculate the lateral-torsional buckling moment resistance of stepped I-beams.
Regional Innovation System for Co-developing Neighboring Cities: Analysis on the Innovation Actors of Cheonan and Asan, Chungnam

In a recognition of regional innovation system approach for a co-development effort of the Cheonan-Asan area, Chungnam, this research conducted a survey from the local leaders of these two cities. The results of the survey show that most local leaders strongly agree with the necessity of co-development efforts, that some suggest a merge of two cities, and that some suggest industrial development programs in the city border. The local leaders expect that public officials should play a major role in co-development of the two cities while local leaders are disappointed with the public officials activities. They also highly expect that civilian leaders (NGOs) and professors should play important roles in this matter. Upon these results, the research suggests to formulate a cooperative regional innovation system for the co-development of the two neighboring cities by three steps.
The Analysis of Regional Innovation Potential for Establishing Regional Innovation System

This study calculates comprehensive regional innovation potentials of the 16 provincial governments of Korea based on the 20 indices from 3 fields such as regional innovation infrastructure, regional innovation activities, and regional innovation performance. Except regional innovation activities supported by the central government's regional innovation grant program, there are disparities of the 3 innovation fields between the Seoul Metropolitan Area and non-Seoul areas. In some local provinces where the comprehensive innovation capacities are low, there are significant disparities among the 3 innovation fields. These provincial governments should support a policy to adjust the disparities for the sustainable regional innovation.
A Hybrid Heuristic Approach for Supply Chain Planningwith n Multi-Level Multi-Item Capacitated Lot Sizing Model

Planning distributed manufacturing logistics is one of main issues in supply chain management. This paper proposes a hybrid heuristic approach for the Multi-Level, multi-item Capacitated Lot Sizing Problem (MLCLSP) in supply chain network. MLCLSP corresponds to a mixed integer programming (MIP) problem. With integer variable solutions determined by heuristic search, this MIP problem becomes linear program (LP). By repeatedly solving the relaxed MIP problems with a heuristic search method in a hybrid manner, this proposed approach allocates finite manufacturing resources fur each distributed facilities and generates feasible production plans. Meta heuristic search algorithm is presented to solve the MIP problems. The experimental test evaluates the computational performance under a variety of problem scenarios.
