Evaluation of Sphere Faced Type Piston Nipple for Water Feed of Poultry

Automatic water feeding system for chickens is the one of the most important devices at poultry farms. Chickens drink water directly from a water feeder nipple of the automatic water feeder. Check valve inside the water feeder nipple is open when they drink water and is closed otherwise. There are two types of nipples. One is the piston nipple, and the other is the ball nipple. Because the nipple stick in the ball nipple can move freely, the sloping mechanism of the ball nipple works well. but it has complicated mechanism. On the other hand, the piston nipple has very simple structure, but its movement is limited so it can move only up-and-down. To overcome those limitation, the piston nipple with sphere valve seat face (sphere face piston nipple) has been developed and is just distributed at domestic markets. The experimental performance test of the commercialized sphere piston nipple has been conducted, and compared with the performance of the ball nipple and the piston nipple which are domestic products. As the result, sphere piston nipple shows excellent performance compared to that of the piston nipple but its performance is similar to ball type nipple.
Development of Design Method for a Bumper Cross-section Satisfying Protection Requirements for Car Body and Pedestrian (Using CAD/CAM)

The importance of bumper system lies not only in the styling of vehicles, but also in the protection of vehicles and pedestrians from reasonable impact. In this study, we proceed to search a method for efficient bumper system without using the impact test and the computer simulation to analyze the bumper system. In the process of the research, we proposed the each method that is used to search the shape that satisfy each regulations in first, because bumper's dimensions to satisfy 'vehicle protection' regulations and form's dimensions to satisfy ‘pedestrian protection' regulations are difficult to exist together. After that we proposed the calculate method and design algorithm that is used to search a reasonable point satisfying the two regulations together.
Thermal Analysis of Vacuum Cleaner Suction Nozzle Cover under Variable Conditions

In this paper, we make a study of a thermal deformation by FEM and test to define the deformation mode of the Vacuum-Cleaner's Nozzle-Cover. In FEM analysis, 3 different conditions were considered separately, such as (1) Compressive force by Belt tension, (2) Friction heat between Belt and Shaft and (3) Compressive force combined with heat. Throughout FEM analysis it was found that the deformation was caused by heat and it was proved through a simulation test with a real product.
Study on The Strip Layout Design of LCD Shield Case Using 3D CAD/CAM

In this thesis, a strip layout drawing of LCD S/C (shield case) was prepared. In the press die, strip layout drawing is a major factor that decides the mass production of a product. The 3D CAD/CAM system was applied for the easy correction of the interference factor with other parts to be mounted. The material use ratio was enhanced to 60.17% by optimizing the blank layout and strip layout in double width array. Furthermore, the flatness of the product was made to fit the requirements by adding the bidding process intensively on the notching part where the occurrence of the change in shape is expected owing to the thin material. For the 3D CAD/CAM software, Unigraphics NX3.0 was used. The strip layout drawing was prepared in 12 processes.

Recently, there has been major issue in safety of elevator. In the view of safe management of elevator, the corresponding research must be done since accidents related elevator include not only actual accident but also possible accident in order to protect user from dangerousness. This research aims to seek an analytical solution for safety apparatus which caused accident again and again among dangerous factors of an elevator. In order to assure safety of door, ANSYS, a commercial software was applied and evaluate safety qualitatively by calculating stress and strain deformed under the loads of 40 to 100kg.

Design of Power Detection Block for Wireless Communication Transmitter Systems

This paper presents a power detector circuit which monitors the transmitting power for the application in CDMA cell phones. The proposed power detector are composed of coupler for coupling output power and detector fur monitoring output power. The designed coupler has low loss characteristic because it adopts the stripline structure which consists of two ground planes at both sides of signal plane. The design frequency is 824-849MHz which is the Tx band fur CDMA mobile terminal, and the coupling factor of the stripline coupler is -20dB. A schottky barrier diode is adopted for detector design because of its high speed operation with minimized loss. The required impedance matching is performed to improve the linearity and sensitivity of output voltage at relatively low detector input level where the nonlinear characteristic of diode exists. The package parasitics as well as intrinsic diode model are considered for simulation of the detector. The predicted performances agree well with the measured results.
Nano-scale high-accuracy displacement measurement using the Michelson laser interferometer controlled with a feedback circuit

A novel Michelson interferometer controlled with a feedback circuit(MIFC) has been developed and its performance has been evaluated. This new interferometer can measure the displacement of the sample by directly reading the feedback bias applied to the PZT whose piezoelectric characteristic is known. The experimental result showed that the step height the silicon membrane measured by using MIFC was actually same with the value measured by SEM, which confirms that MICS is an easy and accurate method for the nano-scale displacement measurement.

EMS(energy management system) and SCADA(supervisory control and data acquisition) systems are used for reliable and efficient operation of electrical power systems. Various functions in EMS such as power flow, contingency analysis, security analysis essentially need accurate data set for reliable operation. State estimation can be a tool for providing these data. In this paper, programs for observability analysis and bad data processing are developed. Fundamental algorithms are introduced and validity of the proposed techniques is inspected with test cases.
A Study on the element affecting in design and characteristics of PIMD for non-reciprocal element

This paper compared simulation characteristics on the design of center strip by structure simulator with manufacture of 2.6GHz non-reciprocal element. Secures condition that affect in PIMD and confirmed change value of PIMD by change of condition. Implemented non-reciprocal element shows more than 20dB isolation characteristic at center frequency(2,650MHz) and has 0.2dB insertion loss in overall 100MHz operating bandwidth. Return losses of input and output port are measured below -20dB. IMD of non-reciprocal element exhibited superior value when there were no gaps between internal components and when materials having identical substances were used, and it showed an improving tendency when the pressure was increased higher, however, in case of applying pressure higher than a certain level, it results in damages, etc. of the magnet inside and ferrite as well, so then the characteristics of IMD was rapidly increased along with decrease of frequency characteristics.
The Development of An Improved Distribution Automation System Including Low Voltage Monitoring Function

This paper presents the developing results of improved distribution automation system including system configuration and subsystem design, prototype hardware and software implementation, and pilot tests on the real distribution networks of Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO). An integrated system is designed to combine independent system for the distribution field works with DAS; transformer monitoring, power quality monitoring, voltage monitoring, outage monitoring, etc. The communication network is hierarchically configured as main network and branch network and well-defined integrated terminal units were developed. In addition, useful host configuration and applications were developed to integrate the services with DAS or interfacing other systems. Pilot tests were performed to verify that the system enables to properly integrate the DAS and other services of the distribution network.
Thermal stability enhancement of silicide by kinetic modifications

In this study, we investigated the mechanism responsible for the thermal stability of CoSi by addition of a foreign chemical element. Addition of W was found to increase the heat of formation of CoSi. This increase was claimed to inhibit the glass formation, which is preferred by silicide formation kinetics depicted by the maximum system energy degradation rate. In this case, there forms at the interface between CoSi and Si wafer a crystalline structure, the effective diffusion coefficient of which is much less than the self-diffusion rate provided by the glass. It was stated that the phase transition requires a higher thermal energy as the consequence, thereby enhancing the thermal stability of CoSi.
A New Method for Extending Doppler Mean Frequency in Ultrasonic Imaging Systems

Basically, an ultrasonic imaging system has two fundamental imaging modes available. One is the B-mode imaging modality which provides an image of reflection coefficient, and the other is the Doppler color flow mode that maps blood flow inside the human heart and blood vessels. This paper presents a new method of detecting and compensating for aliasing that occurs when the Doppler frequency exceeds one-half of the pulse-repetition frequency (PRF). Its validity is shown by computer simulation. The new method not only extends the measurable Doppler frequency, but also helps to reduce the effect of noise. The results show that the aliasing can be compensated for correctly fur signal-to-noise ratios down to 20 dB.
Study on AlAs-doped ZnO Thin Film Properties

In this study, we investigated the properties of ZnO thin films prepared by layer-by-layer method in RF magnetron sputtering system using AlAs and ZnO targets. Effects of
dip prior to thermal treatment were studied as well. Either n-type or p-type films were observed in our study depending on the annealing conditions. It thus indicates the feasibility of arbitrarily modifying the conductivity type. At the same time, it also implies the thermal instabilities of the film properties. Property measurements after stressing the films up to 144 hours showed that thermal variations of properties nay be suppressed by pre-treatment in 30%
for 1 min.
A Development of COS Holder to Reduce an Impact Ambient Noise

We are using COS to block the excess current and to protect the transformer. But the fuse of COS is melt due to the overload resulting from the excess current flows and it destroys an air severing relations to clear as strong arc happens. Such phenomenon induces an impact ambient noise and it gives the circumstance area resident or pedestrian the fear. Thus, it is necessary that we urgently need to control the ambient noise from the actual circumstances. In this study, we investigate the characteristic of an impact ambient noise associate with the melting state of the COS fuse and suggest the method to reduce the noise.

Design of New Switching Structure for Time Division Duplex system

In this paper, we propose a new switch structure for time division duplex(TDD) system. The existing TDD structure utilizes a circulator fur isolation characteristic between ports. However, the circulator produces intermodulation distortion signals which are undesired signal because of its nonlinear properties. The proposed circuit is composed of a modified branch-line hybrid coupler which controls the signal flow while the isolated port is open-/short- terminated. In order to prove the validity of the presented structure, the switch circuit is fabricated and measured at 2.3GHz, the center frequency of Wibro service system.
Design and Construction of Data Monitoring System for Stable Cinder Reuse

This research has a purpose of constructing the data monitoring system that makes two-tier work state in the brick production factory to unification by reusing cinder. Monitoring system automatically manages data by using data managing processes such as a state managing process, a location managing process, a badness managing process, a circumstances managing process. In this research, the data management monitoring system manufactures state information of each processes received from RFID and transmits them to data monitoring system. Analyzed data through this system reuses the cinder, so it can effectively manage the production process of the factory which produces bricks through processing automation, faulty-ratio minimization, real-time monitoring and loading managing.
An Automatic Korean Lexical Acquisition System

This paper proposes a automatic korean lexical acquisition system which reflects the characteristics of human language acquisition. The proposed system automatically builds two kinds of lexicon, full-form lexicon and decomposition using Korean corpus as its input. As the experimental results using Korean Sejeong corpus of which size is 10 million Eojeols, the system acquired 2,097 full-form Eojeols and 3,488 morphemes. The accumulated frequency of the acquired full-form Eojeols covers the 38.63% of the input corpus and accuracy of morpheme acquisition is 99.87%.
Automatic Generation of Ontology with Simplified Sentences and Transfer Rules

Ontology construction has need of many time and cost. This is why it is difficult to build a commercial semantic web. To solve the problem, we must automatically construct ontology. In this paper, we propose an automatic ontology generation system from web documents containing important informations of the web. The proposed system has two steps. One is simplification process which generates simple sentences from all sentences in the documents. Another is ontology generation process with transfer rules. Our system is very useful fur application domains in which many documents are updated or inserted frequently such as online shopping malls.
Detection of Red Eye Region Using Redness and Local Characteristics

This paper presents an automatic detection and removal method of red eye in a color image. The method detects initial red eye region based on redness and geometric feature, and extracts final red eye region considering local characteristics around the initial red eye region. Red eye fur the foal red eye region is removed by soft based removal method. In the experiments, the proposed method improved the red eye detection and removal results than that of Willamowski and Csurka.
Design and Implementation of Integrated Home Sever For Internet Appliance

As there have recently been a rapid development in a supercomputer network infrastructure and an increase in the use of wireless terminals such as a PDA and cellular phone, people realize that it is highly required that they develope a various types of application services to integrate wireless network and engage them. On top of that, because current appliances are being converted into digital domestic appliances, and network and such appliances react upon each other, domestic appliances are now evolving to Internet appliances. Thus, people eager to establish a home network, which can offer a various sorts of services to customers because such appliances can share and send the data when such appliances are connected to power lines, telephone wires, and IEEE1394. Along with this, people are also enthusiastically conducting a study on Internet Application, which monitor and control the internet appliances triggered by connecting home network and supercomputer network. This study focuses on designing and developing an integrated wireless home server by effectively integrating wire and wireless network: It can approach and control each internet appliance connected with the home network inside and outside the house. In this study we also test it with an internet appliance simulator.
A Study on Secure Contents Transer Based on Home Network

Home networks is a network composed of devices in home and is being expanded by evolving devices. Also, The number of digital contents in home network has been increasing steadily. But it is difficult to continually protect the rights of digital contents due to lack of interoperability among contents devices. Besides, a license has to be re-issued by DRM sever for contents transfer between devices. Thus, this paper proposes framework which can freely transfer the contents to another device through mutual device authentication and a system that can decrease overload of license management of the DRM server and that enable users outside home network to use contents through user authentication.
The Reduction Algorithm of Complexity using Adjustment of Resolution and Search Sequence for Vocoder

We propose the complexity reduction algorithm of real root method that is mainly used in the Vocoder. The real root method is that if polynomial equations have the real roots, we are able to find those and transform them into LSP(Line Spectrum Pairs). However, this method takes much time to compute, because the root searching is processed sequentially in frequency region. The important characteristic of LSP is that most of coefficients are occurred in specific frequency region. So, the searching frequency region is ordered and adjusted by each coefficient's distribution in this paper. Transformation time can be reduced by proposed algorithm than the sequential searching method in frequency region. When we compare this proposed method with the conventional real root method, the experimental result is that the searching time was reduced about 48% in average.
Localization Scheme with Mobile Beacons in Ocean Sensor Networks

Recently, sensor network technology is a highly concerned area due to the expectation of many applications in various fields. The application of sensor network technology to the marine and ocean surveillance and investigation makes the marine environmental research easier since intelligent sensor nodes substitute the human labor work. In ocean sensor network, the localization scheme for the sensor nodes is most essential because all the information without from sensor nodes might be useless unless the positional information of each sensor nodes is provided. In this paper, the localization scheme with mobile beacons in ocean sensor networks is suggested and showed it could be effective for applying to marine circumstances. Even though the previous localization scheme(Ssu's) has advantages that additional hardware is not required for obtaining the information of distance and angle and shows the high accuracy of location and energy efficiency and easy expandability as well, it has also demerits the location error increases as the minimum distance between the absolute positional information become closer. In our works, the improved localization scheme with the presumed area of sensor node using geometric constraints is suggested.
Text Region Detection using Adaptive Character-Edge Map From Natural Image

This paper proposes an edge-based text region detection algorithm using the adaptive character-edge maps which are independent of the size of characters and the orientation of character string in natural images. First, labeled images are obtained from edge images and in order to search for characters, adaptive character-edge maps by way grammar are applied to labeled images. Next, selected label images are clustered as for distance of its neighbors. And then, text region candidates are obtained. Finally, text region candidates are verified by using the empirical rules and horizontal/vertical projection profiles based on the orientation of text region. As the results of experiments, a text region detection algorithm turned out to be robust in the matter of various character size, orientation, and the complexity of the background.
A Study on Wireless Sensor Node Control Using Embedded System

Rapid development of high-micro device design and wireless mobile communication technique enables each information instrument and devices to form intelligent network. The Investigation of Security Vulnerability of AP operation in the WLAN (in center around industrial area in Cheonan city)

In this paper, it is investigated to the security services and vulnerability tools of IEEE802.11 wireless LAN, and it is considered the employment state of wireless LAN AP (access point) and analyzed the state of security vulnerability. In according to this study, among wireless LAN APs, which are operated in each company or each factory, in center around industrial of Cheonan city, 50% of AP, which is used, is not operated on WEP, and therefore, it is stated the weakness of security so far. From the result of this study, in case of mid and small company, it can be distinguished the necessity of the security training for the informaton system manager.

Evaluation of Design Equation and Stability for Trenchless Pipe Liner System with Boundary Treatment

Drainage pipeline system repaired by trenchless technology using liners can be defined between partial and entire collapse. The liners in the partial collapse pipeline are subjected to only uniform groundwater pressure on the surface. This research evaluates practical and useful cured-in-placed pipe (CIPP) design equations based on experimental results and finite element analysis results. Also, stability evaluation of pipe liner system with edge treatment is performed using finite element analysis. The CIPP equation should be used to design liner pipe system.
Experimental Study on Fatigue Strength of Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavements with Initial Transverse Cracks

A laboratory investigation is conducted to characterize and quantity fatigue life of continuously reinforced concrete pavement with initial cracks. Four specimens scaled were made based on results of finite-element analyses and stress-strain curve comparisons. Static tests were firstly performed to obtain magnitudes of static failure loads and to predict crack patterns before fatigue tests. The fatigue lives measured in the study were compared based on the initial crack spacing. The comparison indicates that the fatigue lives of most specimens increases with increasing the initial crack spacing. The results obtained in the study can be used for maintenance and retrofit of the continuously reinforced concrete pavements.
A Numerical Study on Flexural Strength with the Spreading of Upper Reinforcement of Girder into the Adjoining Slab

The study of girder-to-column joints under experiment and numerical analysis was carried out to evaluate change of the flexural capacity of the joints with the 2-layer upper reinforcement of girder within rectangular section and the single-layered upper reinforcement at the girder flange. According to the analysis results using the flange width, the flange thickness and the location of reinforcements in the upper flange as variables, in the models with a same effective width, the increasing rate of capacity has nothing to do with the flange width with a same effective width. However, the capacity of the models with the upper reinforcements arranged close to the rectangular beam section is larger than that of the models with the upper reinforcements arranged remotely from the rectangular section. If the range of arrangement fur reinforcement exceeds the effective width, despite of increasing the flange thickness, the capacity is not increased.
A Numerical Study on the Apartment Structure Using Crossed Wide Girder

The study uses the crossed wide girder(waffle slab type) in apartment structural system comparing with existing shear wall system. The crossed wide girder will be able to secure the span of the longest which is possible with minimum slab thickness by not increasing the height. The research sees continuity arranges the crossed wide girder in schedule interval following the stress distribution. Namely, it is to make the interior space with the space without column and wall in the minimum height. In order to check the numerical value of this study which it interpreted the ductile frame system due to the crossed wide girder and existing shear wall system used the Midas Gen is a program which 3-dimension laterial force designs are possible. Analysis results, the crossed wide girder system is not disadvantageously laterial drift, drift ratio and deflection of slab compares with existing shear wall system. Also the whole concrete amount is similar existing shear wall system. The crossed wide girder is advantage which secure a architectal variability.
Evaluation of Drain Pump System by Inundation Analysis in Urban Underground Passage

A general rainfall outflow in urban drainage has early time of concentration because urban drainage areas are most paved area. In general, rainfall outflow is flowed in drainage pump station and is discharged to rivers in urban areas. However it is excluded through drainage pumps about a heavy rainfall which exceed the design rainfall and the rainfall outflows increase the urban inundation risk. A current pump operation is control according to water level of collecting well or reservoir in drain pump station. But recently, the localized downpours are happened frequently in urban drainage and the current pump stations are frequently incapable of the heavy rainfall outflows. In this study, a real urban inundation was simulated and the drain capacity of drain pump station was evaluated by analysis about flood-factor in urban underground passage. Then the analysis about the inundation was done by the simulation about the real rainfall which cause the inundation. Also, in the simulation the inundation risk and the evaluation of flood-factor were analyzed according to change of the pump operation rule.

The urban streets as a featured and well performing public space for people should be organized in a way that can work as a whole system through network as well as that can provide amenities fur pedestrian. This is a study on Seattle's 'Blue Ring' project for an analysis focused on how its street weaving system organized and what are the design characteristics of the streets. The results are as followings. (1)Pedestrian oriented design, (2)Urban street as a part of open space that can accommodate human activities, (3)Integrated, not isolated with outer/ other open space, (4)Organically networked in a hierarchical manner that can promote pedestrian movement, (5)Utilization of regionally identical design elements. And Smart Growth concept lies in the core of 'Blue Ring' project.
Measurement of the interfacial tension value for the polymer blends by breaking thread method

In this paper, the experimental details of the interfacial tension measurement by breaking thread method, which measures the interfacial tension between different polymer pairs, are described. The apparatus needed are a hot state, which melts the polymers, and an optical microscopy. The measured interfacial tension values are in goog agreement with the literature's values.
Study on a compatibilization of polypropylene/thermotropic liquid crystalline polymer blends

In this paper, we present a study on the polypropylene/thermotropic liquid crystalline polymer blends. In previous researches, the blends are fabricated at very high temperatures, at least 300oC, since the TLCPs investigated in most studies have melting temperatures higher than 270oC. As a consequence, the thermal degradation of PP can not be avoidable. In order to obtain high physical properties, the excess amount of TLCP must be added. In this study, a new type of TLCP was used in the PP/TLCP blends. Since the new TLCP has a melting point of 220oC, the blending can be performed at much lower temperature than the previous studios. The new PP/TLCP shows similar or somewhat higher physical properties than those of the previous studies. It is proved that the new TLCP can be used as a reinforcement material in PP based blends.

As the industry of 21C has been developed, the gas industry has grown and it has not only the convenience but also the riskiness fer using. Especially, the energy and environment problems have been getting serious after the modern industry revolution. Therefore, the demand of gas as an eco-friendly energy source is getting increased. With the demand of gas, the installation and use of gas boiler is also increased, so human life injury by the waste gas(CO) of boiler goes on increasing every year. Therefore, we want to find out the harm to human body through the study on the concentration of CO by the length of the curved exhaust tube of boiler. The allowable concentration of CO is 50ppm. The length of the one-meter-three-curved tube after three minutes is applicable to 50ppm of the threshold limit values of CO. Also, five meters exceed the threshold limit values of CO after five minutes. Strangely, the concentration of CO is under the threshold limit values from two to four meters.
A Study on Influence of Antecedents and Activities within SCM on Balanced Scorecard Performance

This study aims at grasping the influence of antecedents within SCM to information sharing and cooperation as well as the influence of information sharing on cooperation among the small & medium-sized manufacturing industries, thus ultimately opening the way to the study on the influence of major activities such as information sharing and cooperation within SCM on the business performance by classifying such influence into low perspectives of BSC. The results of this study revealed that the antecedents such as commitment and cultural similarities exercised a significant influence on information sharing while mutual trust and the size of a corporate weighing with cooperative activities. It also identified the fact that information sharing bore a significant influence on cooperation in terms of relationships among activities. For the relationships between the SCM activities and performance, cooperation proved significant to all four balanced scorecard performances with little significant influence of information sharing on balanced scorecard performance. However, taking into consideration of the significance of information sharing on cooperation as well as the significant influence of cooperation on balanced scorecard performance, it fumed out that information sharing also effected a indirect influence on such four types of balanced scorecard performance. In this regard, based on the results of this study, it was identified that information sharing and cooperation, major activities within SCM, had either direct or indirect influence, through the influence of antecedents, on the business balanced scoreboard performance measured from a customer perspective, a business process perspective, an innovation and teaming perspective and a financial perspective.

Hotel Information Systems(HIS) has been used widely nowadays. Also, there is a requirement to connect Customer Relation Management(CRM) with the HIS. However, Hotel managers simply regard CRM as a part of HIS but, CRM is a crucial information system like MRP in factory. Therefore, It is important to set up a long term strategy for CRM in Hotel business. This study tested five hypotheses how requirement of CRM changes along increasing usage level of HIS in Hotels. Statistical test and structured test by AMOS were used to verify the five hypotheses so that I could extract HIS' characteristics. This study's results can be referred when Hotel managers make a decision how and when for CRM.
Pre-Evaluation for Successful BSC Introduction on the J University

Recently, the needs fur management innovation of universities are growing. Therefore, introduction of Balanced Scorecard(BSC) for measuring performance has been considered as a way of management innovation. However, the introduction of BSC does not always become successful, and sometimes act as an obstacle to innovative activities. This study was designed to conduct pre-evaluation for J University well in advance of its BSC introduction to solve problems with the introduction and prove the importance of pre-evaluation to make BSC introduction a success. Methodologically, the study explored key factors of successful introduction of BSC by examining previous studies, and conducted a comparative analysis of such key factors, focusing on J University. To evaluate factor-specific results in a more practical way, weighted value analysis on factors was conducted by experts so as to investigate how many factors J University can meet fur the introduction of BSC. As a result, the outcome of the pre-evaluation before J University introduces the BSC was generated, and the study aimed to suggest such empirical analysis as a method of pre-evaluation of the BSC introduction.
An Empirical Study on the Evaluation of Film Production Company

In order to accelerate the development of the Film Industry of Korea it is quite necessary to evaluate the value of Film Production Company appropriately and then to activate investment through its work of estimating. So far however, the researches on the evaluation model for Korean Film Production Company has been rarely conducted considering those of any other advanced countries. Therefore, the appropriate valuation model among numerous valuation model for film firms has not been provided until now. So the purpose of this article is to suggest the rational decision making criteria for the investment of Film Production Company by comparing with DCF, FCF, and ROV model through the empirical research focused on case study. According to the results of research, ROV model is more efficient and available comparing other two methods.
Effects of Dietary Complex Probiotics on Growth Performance Nutrient Digestibility and Blood Characteristics in Growing Pigs

The current study was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary complex probiotics supplementation on growth performance, nutrient digestibility, blood characteristics and noxious gas emission of manure slurry in growing pigs. A total of forty eight pigs with an initial body weight of 20.12 kg were allotted to three dietary treatments (two pigs per pen with eight pens per treatment). Dietary treatment included: 1) CON (basal diet), 2) Pro1 (basal diet + 0.1% complex probiotics) and 3) Pro2 (basal diet + 0.2% complex probiotics). The experiment was lasted six weeks. Through the entire experimental period, ADG was increased with the increased complex probiotics supplementation level (linear effect, P<0.05). However, neither ADFI nor gain/feed was influenced by the dietary treatments. Complex probiotics supplementation increased DM digestibility (linear effect, P<0.05). Also, the N digestibility was improved, with the Pro1 treatment showed highest value (linear and quadratic effect, P<0.05). Supplementation of complex probiotics did not affect the WBC, RBC, lymphocyte and BUN concentrations in blood. The
emission from manure slurry was decreased with the increased level of complex probiotics supplementation (linear and quadratic effect, P<0.05). Similarly,
emission of manure slurry was also decreased significantly when complex probiotics was included in diet (linear effect, P<0.05). In conclusion, dietary supplementation of Complex probiotics can increase growth performance and decrease noxious gas emission of manure slurry in growing pigs.

Improved VRP & GA-TSP Model for Multi-Logistics Center

A vehicle routing problem with time constraint is one of the must important problem in distribution and logistics. In practice, the service for a customer must start and finish within a given delivery time. This study is concerned about the development of a model to optimize vehicle routing problem under the multi-logistics center problem. And we used a two-step approach with an improved genetic algorithm. In step one, a sector clustering model is developed by transfer the multi-logistics center problem to a single logistics center problem which is more easy to be solved. In step two, we developed a GA-TSP model with an improved genetic algorithm which can search a optimize vehicle routing with given time constraints. As a result, we developed a Network VRP computer programs according to the proposed solution VRP used ActiveX and distributed object technology.
A Study on Improvement of Process Safety Management System in Threshold Quantity Site

As higher on the industrialization of chemical factories in Korea, it shows a tendency that safety accident happens more times and is bigger on its size. For preventing from and decreasing such accident, PSM(Process Safety Management) system has used in chemical factories. Though it is recognized that PSM is sutable and effective for only a intensive system technically, it could be difficult to apply to all of factories, actually. This study was proceeded for investigating the effect and problems on the application and performanance of PSM into the threshold quantity site and suggesting how fur improvement. The results are as followed; PSM system was not used effectively in the threshold quantity site of medium and small-sized enterprises because of the shortage of experts and the decrease of interest as a deregulation. As the effective performanace of PSM for preventing from industrial accident in threshold quantity site and for sattling as self-system easily, it was concluded to get an active support from the concerned government. First of all, new progrems to improve PSM should be developed continually and the progrems should be educated extensively.
Structural Optimization of Vibration-free PBD(Plastic Board Drain) Construction Equipments

Plastic board drain is one of the methods to reinforce weak soil, and it has been widely used because of economical efficiency, convenience of construction, and ease of quality control. The weight of PBD equipment which places PBD perpendicularly underground in the depth of 40m has to be minimized to obtain convenience installation and movement while standing against press drawing load. In this study, the performance of stability was evaluated with stress distribution at the steel construction of former equipment by structural analysis: And the steel construction which can increase strength while reducing the weight was also presented. As a result of this study, presented construction can obtain more stability by use of the weight 700kg lighter than the former one.
