Development of 5-Axis Microscribe System for Off-Line Buffing Robot Path Programming and Its Application

We propose how to program the off-line buffing robot path along shoes' outsole shape in the footwear buffing process by a 5-axis microscribe system like robot mechanism. The microscribe system we developed consists of a 5-axis robot link with a turn table, a signal processing unit, PC and an application software program. Itmakes a robot path on the shoes' upper in accordance with the movement of a microscribe with many joints. The developed system calculates the encoder pulse values for the microscribe arm's rotation and transmits the angle pulse values to the PC through a processing unit. Denavit-Hartenberg's(D-H) direct kinematics is used to make the global coordinate from microscribe joint one. Problems with the microscribe's kinematics can be solved efficiently and systematically by D-H representation. With the coordinate values calculated by D-H equation, our system can draw a buffing gauge-line on the upper sole. We obtain shoes' outline points, which are 2 outlines coupled with the points and the normal vector based on the points. By applying the system to the buffing robot in a flexible manufacturing system, it can be used effectively to program the path of a real buffing robot.
Development of the Ag/Cu Ingots for Mokumegane Jewelry

Mokumegane is one of the sophisticated metal craft techniques enabling wood grain surface effect. To embody the mokumegane, an ingot of well-bonded stacked metal plates has been required. Traditionally prepared mokumegane ingots were bonded using charcoal which enables reduction atmosphere, but sometimes end up with collapse of bonding interface due to the lack of reliable process control. We proposed a systematic vacuum direct bonding process for ingots. First, we confirmed copper//copper homogeneous plate bonding at
by applying uniaxial press of 2.5kg. We observed 80min required to obtain 90%-bonding ratio and the diffusion coefficient would be enhanced up to 100 times due to surface effect. Second, by considering enhanced diffusion behavior, we also obtained optimum bonding condition in copper/silver heterogeneous plates that ensures 90%-bonding ratio at
for 10min with apply uniaxial press. A 7-layered copper/silver ingot is prepared successfully, and eventually the prototype mokumegane cases for mobile phone were fabricated with these ingot.
Property and Microstructure Evolution of Nickel Silicides on Nano-thick Polycrystalline Silicon Substrates

We fabricated thermally-evaporated 10 nm-Ni/30 nm and 70 nm Poly-Si/200 nm-
structures to investigate the thermal stability of nickel silicides formed by rapid thermal annealing(RTA) of the temperature of

We employed for a four-point tester, field emission scanning electron microscope(FE-SEM), transmission electron microscope(TEM), high resolution X-ray diffraction(HRIXRD), and scanning probe microscope(SPM) in order to examine the sheet resistance, in-plane microstructure, cross-sectional microstructure evolution, phase transformation, and surface roughness, respectively. . The HRXRD result also supported the existence of NiSi-phase up to
for the Ni silicide on the 30 nm polysilicon substrate. FE-SEM and TEM confirmed that 40 nm thick uniform silicide layer and island-like agglomerated silicide phase of
pitch without residual polysilicon were formed on 30 nm polysilicon substrate at
, respectively. All silicides were nonuniform and formed on top of the residual polysilicon for 70 nm polysilicon substrates. Through SPM analysis, we confirmed the surface roughness was below 17 nm, which implied the advantage on FUSI gate of CMOS process. Our results imply that we may tune the thermal stability of nickel monosilicide by reducing the height of polysilicon gate.

Due to the modem MEMS technologies, the electron lenses that are used in the microcolumn can have much smaller optical aberrations compared with conventional electron lenses for the bulky electron columns. Since the electron lens system have great effect on the performance of the microcolumn, it is important to study the dependence of image quality on the configuration of the electronic imaging system, among which the source-lens part is most sensitive. In this work, we investigated the electron beam characteristics according to the shapes of extractor and limiting aperture that are elements of the source-lens part. By analyzing the data obtained, we proposed the optimum configuration of the electron lens system.

The Design of Debugging Adapter for Embedded Software

Since embedded software is sensitive to the resources and environment of target system, it should be debugged in the same environment as actual target system. However, existing tools to debug embedded software, in which access to internal signal or resources is limited, are uneconomical. In the thesis, economical and practical JTAG Adapter that can use open GDB is suggested. It can remove existing limitations of environment implementation that have many difficulties in implementing an environment for remote debugging. Hence, the thesis provides economical interfacing environment that can debug ubiquitous embedded software inside remote system.

This paper analyze the operating characteristic of MCCB due to the synthesize harmonic current. Four types of MCCBs, divided by the type of operation system and a principle of operation, tested with 200[%] of rated current. The test result nuisance tripping did not occur but the time delay characteristic of the hydraulic magnetic type MCCB is appeared. Localization of Mobile Robot using Active Landmark

In order that a mobile robot can perform tasks in unknown environment localization of a mobile robot is essential task. In this paper, a new localization method for a mobile robot using an active landmark is proposed, which is very simple to implement. The landmark has a LED which can be controlled by a mobile robot via wireless communication. CCD camera gets two images of the landmark, one of which is with LED off and the other is with LED on. Because the landmark can be detected by using the difference image of the two images, detection time can be minimized. By using the characteristic points of the landmark, localization can be performed simply. A series of experiments are performed to evaluate the proposed method and the experimental results show that the proposed method can be applicable to the localization of a mobile robot.

We are using COS to purpose blocking the excess current and to protect the transformer. But the fuse of COS is melt due to the overload if the excess current flows and it destroy an air severing relations to clear as strong arc happens. Such phenomenon induces an impact ambient noise and it gives the circumstance area resident or pedestrian the fear. Thus, We are the actual circumstances which an ambient noise countermeasure establishment have desired urgently. In this study, we grasp the characteristic of an impact ambient noise which a COS fuse happens the melting and study the method to reduce an impact ambient noise.
A Study on the Performance Improvements of Congestion Control of Multiple Time Scale Under in TCP-MT network

Measurement of network traffic have shown that the self-similarity is a ubiquitous phenomenon spanning across diverse network environments. In previous work, we have explored the feasibility of exploiting the long-range correlation structure in a self-similar traffic for the congestion control. We have advanced the framework of the multiple time scale congestion control and showed its effectiveness at enhancing performance for the rate-based feedback control. Our contribution is threefold. First, we define a modular extension of the TCP-a function called with a simple interface-that applies to various flavours of the TCP-e.g., Tahoe, Reno, Vegas and show that it significantly improves performance. Second, we show that a multiple time scale TCP endows the underlying feedback control with proactivity by bridging the uncertainty gap associated with reactive controls which is exacerbated by the high delay-bandwidth product in broadband wide area networks. Third, we investigate the influence of the three traffic control dimensions-tracking ability, connection duration, and fairness-on performance.

A radio telemetry system was fabricated to continuously measure the deep body temperature (DBT) of broilers as an effort to monitor the occurrences of possible poultry diseases. It was shown that the DBT of broilers could be measured with an accuracy of
. Daily fluctuation of DBT in case of a 40 days old broiler was evaluated. To develop a system which can control the environment of poultry housing in real time based on DBT measurements, we proposed the design criteria of a dedicated receiver unit.

This study presents the design methods that will enable high speed communication companies to establish high efficiency optical communication network at a low cost. This study compares and analyzes CWDM and DWDM technology that transmit multiple optical signals through an optic core, and describes compensation of deteriorated optical signal, which occurs in long distance data transmission, through the stabilization of TX/RX terminal to enable long distance data transmission. CWDM based line access multiplexer increases concentration efficiency by eight times by providing 4:1 concentration subscriber network.

In this paper, we propose new modulation schemes using the conventional CACB modulation with constant amplitude property. Also the proposed modulation schemes supports high transmission data rate by increasing the spectral efficiency. In order to obtain the high spectral efficiency, the

PSK II) modulation scheme is proposed retaining the constant amplitude and the spectral efficiency. Computer simulations show that the proposed CACB-CA-

Extracting and Tracing a Specified Object among Multiple Ones

This paper proposes a real-time processing method to simplify the image input procedure while extracting and tracing a specified object among multiple ones. In order to extract an object in a specified area among multiple objects of indoor environment and tracing the extracted object continuously, it is verified through experiments that the information interchanged between cameras upwards and in front of it have effect on tracing a specified object continuously. The camera located upward transfers its x-axis data of the input image to the front camera so that the front camera can catch the area of object soon without computing the information of x-axis. The front camera can't resolve the problem of objects overlapping till they share information with the upward camera. The result of the experiment shows that the computation for tracing an object is simplified and the accuracy for extracting and tracing is upgraded.
Design of a Key Transfer System Using SOAP for Multimedia Contents Protection

A proposed system can decrypt each contents block through a double buffer algorithm which can continually buffer contents by dividing a multimedia contents into some blocks and provides more improved method of encryption than existing system by being not capable of decrypting the whole multimedia contents if one key is exposed. Also, using digital signature and public encryption algorithm for mutual authentication between systems, this paper proposes the system which sends and encrypts symmetric keys for contents encryption through SOAP messages.
A Retrieval System of Environment Education Contents using Method of Automatic Annotation and Histogram

In order to process video data effectively, it is required that the content information of video data is loaded in database and semantic- based retrieval method can be available for various query of users. In this paper, we propose semantic-based video retrieval system for Environment Education Contents which support semantic retrieval of various users by feature-based retrieval and annotation-based retrieval of massive video data. By user's fundamental query and selection of image for key frame that extracted form query, the agent gives the detail shape for annotation of extracted key frame. Also, key frame selected by user become query image and searches the most similar key frame through feature based retrieval method that propose. From experiment, the designed and implemented system showed high precision ratio in performance assessment more than 90 percents.
An Implementation of Intelligent Word Relay Game Considering Characteristics of Real World Langunge

An word relay game contributes to rehabilitation and treatment of language disorders such as aphasia. As a computer is better than human in memorizing very large vocabularies, the computer has much advantage over people in word relay game. Such the game result in decrease the motivation of players and patients in treatment of language disorders. To make people to continue word relay and to be effective to remedy language disorders, the game need to be intelligent and familar with a person. This paper proposes an implementation of intelligent Korean word relay game, which considers characteristics of Korean word usage patterns. The gaem is intelligent in constructing vocabulary database and choosing an answer considering the level of player.
Standard-Rainfall and Capacity of Intercepting Sewer to Control CSOs

The combined sewer overflows(COSs) which enters to river are involved with water pollution of rivers. Therefore, the standard capacity should be decided in proper standard considering water pollution density and characteristic of outflow. But in domestic, the standard capacity is not considered the characteristics of rainfall-outflows and is applied uniformly in all areas. The standard is triple of a maximum amount of sewage per one hour ; 3Q. The outflow of 3Q enters to sewage treatment plant and the overflows enter to river. In this study, a standard rainfall is estimated to determine the capacity of intercepting sewer by statistical analysis of rainfall data and it is considered about the regional characteristic of the rainfall-outflow. The standard rainfall is analyzed through the data of Seoul. In the result the standard rainfall was 6.76mm of 4hr duration. The rainfall-outflows and CSOs are analyzed using SWMM(Storm Water Management Model).
FEM Analysis on the Damage for the Cable of Cabled-suspension Bridges by Fire

Recently, cabled-suspension bridges and suspension bridge have been increasingly built in korea. But such structures were often damaged by fire due to car collison. In this study, the cabled-suspension bridges constructed under the kind of the project of national road aggrandizement are modeled using Solid Works 2007. The COSMOS FloWorks 2007 software are used for Heat Transfer Analysis and Thermal Stress Analysis. The safety of wire, HDPE pipe and stainless steel pipe are investigated. The major variables for the analysis are the temperature of the heat source, the distance between the fire-proof bulk head and the heat source, wind velocity, and the height of the end of Stainless steel pipe.
The Chungcheong-Gemsa's Utilization of Governing Institutions in 18th Century - Focused on Kyogwi, Sulryeok and Ritual Ceremony -

Recently has there been a great increase of the interests in the excavation of governing institutions and their restoration. There also arise discussions on whether the municipal governments should appoint old governing institutions as the historical spots. In the course of the excavation and restoration of old governing institutions, their practical use becomes a matter of concern. So the reproduction of the past ritual ceremonies and events in the governing institutions attracts considerable attention. But the discovery and the analysis of historical materials are very insufficient to meet the recent increase of such demand. In that point of view, this study aims to analyze the ceremony of Kwanchalsa's(觀察使; a provincial governor) arrival at one's post and the use of governing institutions for it and to examine the Kwanchalsa's route of sulryeok(巡歷) and the ritual ceremonies held in the cities he visited. The Chungcheong-Gamsa(忠淸監司; the governor of Chungcheong-Do) in the 18th century is the subject of this analysis and three local officials' diaries - Chungcheong Gamyeong Ilgi (

A Study on Maximum and Mean Velocity Relationships with Varied Channel Slopes and Sediment

This study proposes how to decide mean velocity which is one of the very important and efficient discharge measurement in water resources area. In order to achieve this goal, Chiu's velocity distribution equation recently developed from the probability and entropy concepts is used to establish, analyze and compare a linkage between the mean velocity obtained from the Manning's equation which is well known in the world. Besides, it becomes clear that a channel cross section also has a propensity to establish and maintain an equilibrium state that can be measured and classified by a function of entropy M, ratio of mean and maximum velocities irrespective of including sediment or varied channel slope. Therefore, The linkage to be established in this study can be used to compute the cross sectional velocity distribution with the maximum velocity.

sized plate was molded with various injection molding conditions, and the morphology of the injection molded blends was investigation by using SEM. As a result, we found that molded part shows very complicated morphology because it has experienced complex thermal, shear and elongation history during the processing.
Development of CCPP(Calcium Carbonate Precipitation Potential) calculating program for corrosion control of drinking water distribution system

In this study, we developed the CCPP calculating program, which is a kind of index and can determine whether calcium carbonate would precipitate or not in pipe line of water distribution system. Through 9 complicated procedures, CCPP can be calculated. Assuming pH of equilibrium as a first trial, compare the right-hand-side result with left-hand-side result. If the percentage difference between the two results is less than a prescribed tolerance, the initial assumption for the assumed equilibrium pH is adequate. If the difference is too large, make a different assumption and repeat until a result within the prescribed tolerance is achieved. Plugging the intermediate results into the final equation, we could compute the CCPP. Using Fortran and Visual Basic languages, we developed the program. As a result of application of the program, the water quality of intaking water of Han River is highly corrosive by the index of CCPP.
The Thermal and Mechanical Properties of Recycled PP/EVOH/PP Scrap with Compatibilizers

This paper was studied the possibility on the recycling of the scrap used as the food packaging materials, PP/EVOH/PP multilayer. Recycling study was investigated into thermal and mechanical properties of samples which were mixed PP/EVOH waste plastics scrap with two kinds of compatibilizers. Melt behaviors as thermal property and tensile strength, % strain at break point, and tensile modulus as mechanical properties were investigated into kinds of and the weight ratio of compatibilizers. Mixed PP/EVOH waste plastics shows compatibity when Minanto-s and GMS as compatibilizers are mixed 0.5wt.% over.
A Study on Recycling of Waste Polyethylene Film

The compounds of recycled polyethylene(PE) and fly-ashes were prepared. Polymers used were sorted PE from mixed plastics of household waste and Low Density Polyethylene(LDPE) and Linear Low Density Polyethylene(LLDPE) recycled from the scrap of packaging film plants. Fly-ashes were from the power plant and from the household waste incinerator. The tensile strength of recycled LDPE and LLDPE compounds decreased and the flexural modulus increased with greater amount of the power plant fly-ash. Anthracite fly-ash gave rise to slightly higher tensile and flexural strength of the LLDPE mixtures than bituminous coal fly-ash presumably due to higher content of unburned carbon. The incinerator fly-ash introduced to household waste PE enhanced both tensile strength and flexural modulus of the compounds. When LDPE and household waste PE were used together, the synergistic effect of incinerator fly-ash to household waste PE was offset by reduced crystallization of LDPE due to the filler particle. The compounds of household waste PE and incinerator fly-ash might be applied to structural materials for such as sewage pipe, which reduces the waste treatment cost and conserve the environment and resources.
Enhanced Activities of Alcohol Methabolism by Extracts from Hericium erinaceum Hypha Cultivated with Artermisia capillaris(HEAC)

Alcohol concentration in the blood was effectively decreased by extracts from Hericium erinaceum hypha cultivated with Artermisia capillaris medium(HEAC), Hericium erinaceum hypha and Artermisia capillaris after dirnking. Also, the activities of alcohol dehydrogenase and acetaldehyde dehydrogenase in the blood was studied. As a result of testing an alcohol concentration in the blood, the alcohol in the blood was not detected after 170 min, in case of HEAC and after 210 min, in case of Hericium erinaceum. Compared to control, each activities of alcohol dehydrogenase of HEAC and Hericium erinaceum hypha was showed up to 154% and 148% respectively. The activities of the acetaldehyde dehydrogenase of both extracts from HEAC and Hericium erinaceum was maintained in the range of 104 to 110% compared to control. In conclusion, such extracts represent significant effect to facilitate decomposition of alcohol.

LCD Enterprises introduce quality management strategy to survive in rapid change of production situation. Especially in LCD industry, competitiveness is more needed ever before in the decrease of investment resulted from frequent business fluctuations and in the appearance of the third competitor. In order to overcome this situation, the quality cost system should be implemented as it is suited to a company, but few companys introduce and apply the quality cost system in LCD industry. Thus, Critical factors for outstanding LCD company to apply successfully quality cost system are studied in this paper. The level of importance of the factors is measured be weighted value analysis and a way to maximize the effect of applying quality cost system in LCD industry is proposed by the order of importance.

This study set up a relational model and an assumption concerning how consumer innovativeness could affect the usage motive of digital photos and the usage intention of digital photo printing service, by utilizing the theory of Uses and Gratification(U&G) and Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) so as to cope with the changes in market environment and to construct a new business model. The results fur the study were as below First, innovativeness had a positive effect on convenience, entertaining element and sociality in the relational model of overall innovativeness and usage motive of digital photos. Second, it has been noted that innovativeness had a positive effect on the usage intention of digital photo printing service in the relational model between overall innovativeness and its usage intention. Third, it has been demonstrated that convenience, entertaining element, economic feasibility and sociality had a positive effect on its usage intention in the relational model between overall usage motive of digital photos and the usage intention of digital printing service
A Design of Digital Portfolio Assessment System in Ubiquitous Computing

This study aims to design a digital portfolio assessment system in ubiquitous computing(DPASUbi). To achieve that goal, the following issues were worked: Review of various theoretical discussions on portfolio and an analysis of existing programs to select elements to be included in the DPASUbi. Educational evaluation scenarios for the DPASUbi were developed based on the elements. The system was designed on reflecting these elements, that is, learning activities, assessment and usage of portfolio, ubiquitous technology and database. This system will provide guidance on what methods and assessment procedures should be applied in the ubiquitous computing environment totally different from the conventional one. Also, The new system will be helpful in indicating what kind of techniques should be required in the real educational evaluation.
Heuristic Model for Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Constrained Based on Genetic Algorithm

A vehicle routing problem with time constraint is one of the important problems in distribution and transportation. The service of a customer must start and finish within a given time interval. Our method is based on an improved operators of genetic algorithm and the objective is to minimize the cost of servicing the set of customers without being tardy or exceeding the capacity or travel time of the vehicles. This research shows that a proposed method based on the improved genetic search can obtain good solutions to vehicle routing problems with time constrained compared with a high degree of efficiency other heuristics. For the computational purpose, we developed a GUI-type computer program according to the proposed method and the computational results show that the proposed method is very effective on a set of standard test problems, and can be potentially useful in solving the vehicle routing problems.

A Curriculum Analysis of Pet - Related Departments in Colleges

This study was attempted to analyze the current status of curriculums programs in the pet-related departments in the fifteen colleges in Korea which have operated the relevant courses of major practice since they were newly established in 2003 or later. Thus, this study aimed to suggest how to develop the curriculums for pet-related departments so that the study had the goal of creating the common gold standards between the Korean cultural industry of companion animal and the relevant curriculums. Based upon the results listed above, it is considered that pet-related curriculums should be developed and operated as follows: First, the curriculums preferred highly by both undergraduates and employees should be selected and operated. Second, liberal arts courses concerning companion animal culture required to cultivate cultural comprehension for basic abilities should be opened. Third, major courses concerning animal-assisted therapy (AAT) together with the existing major practice courses should be established so that undergraduates can grow into professionals. Fourth, to do so, appropriate machines and instruments for major practice laboratories should be introduced and maintained. fifth, some pet-related departments substituting major theory courses for major practice courses should improve their organizations. Sixth, standardized curriculums fur pet-related departments and an evaluating institute fur them should be arranged and founded. Finally, the college management should invest constantly in the suitable major practice laboratories and their facilities for companion animal industry as well as curriculum operations.
The effectiveness of back massage using aromatherapy in reducing physical and psychological stress

The study design was a one-group pretest-posttest design. The 30 adults subjects were applied back massage method using blended aroma oil(geranium, rosemary, majoram) in base oil(grapeseed oil) for 20 minutes, once a week for 10 weeks. The study data was analyzed using SPSS WIN 12.0 program. The score of physical and psychological stress scale, systolic and diastolic blood pressure and pulse rate was significantly decreased after using aroma back massage. In conclusion, the aroma back massage method using blended aroma oil is positively supported in stress reduction.
