Study on the Design of Pickup Frame Strip Layout Utilizing PDW of Unigraphics NX4.0

In this thesis, the drawing was prepared for the strip layout of the pickup frame In the press die, the drawing for press layout is a major factor in determining the mass production of the product. The 3D CAD/CAM system was applied to easily correct interference factors with other parts to be mounted. This study improved the material utilization ratio to 28.49% by optimizing the blank layout and strip layout in wide-width arraying. The 3D CAD/CAM software used is Unigraphics NX 4.0, and the strip layout drawing was prepared in 12 processes.

The evaporation heat transfer coefficient of

This paper addresses the prediction of the material property continuities of a microstructure. Prediction was made by measuring the dynamic responses distribution of the fabricated materials used in the microstructures. When these distributional material properties were used in estimating the mechanical performances of microstructures, the differences between the computer simulation and the experimental result of microstructures could be reduced and their reliability design could be made.
Experimental Study on Cooling Performance of Internal Heat Exchanger for CO

In order to investigate the performance of an internal heat exchanger for
refrigerant system, the experiment was performed. Four kinds of internal heat exchangers(IHX) were used. The effects on the IHX length, the number of tube, the operating condition and the type of IHX were investigated. With increasing of the IHX length, the capacity and efficiency increased. The pressure drop of the low-side was larger compared with that of the high-side. As the temperature of the gas cooler increased, the capacity and efficiency increased linearly. The operation condition of evaporator was suggested as two phase region rather than superheat region. The capacity and efficiency of the micro-channel was larger about 90% and 75% than those of the tube. But the pressure drop of the micro-channel was more larger, compared with that of the tube.

Experimental Study on Heat Transfer and Pressure Drop of Heat Exchangers for Cooling Fan Coil Unit

An experimental study has been performed to investigate the air-side capacity and pressure drop of the fin-tube heat exchanger for a fan coil unit under a cooling condition. The experimental data of five kinds of slit fin-tube heat exchangers were measured using an air-enthalpy calorimeter and a constant temperature water bath. Cooling capacities at the air and water rating flow rates were larger at the lower inlet water temperature. With increasing the water flow rate, the cooling capacity increased at the constant rate. Under the lower inlet water temperature, since the condensate was generated more on the fin-tube surface, the air-side pressure drop of the heat exchanger was larger.
The Weldability Estimation for the Purpose of Real-Time Inspection and Control

Through welding fabrication, user can feel unsatisfaction of surface quality because of welded defects, Generally speaking, these are called weld defects. For checking these defects effectively without time loss effectively, weldability estimation system setup is an urgent thing for detecting whole specimen quality. In this study, by laser vision camera, catching a rawdata on welded specimen profiles, treating vision processing with these data, qualitative defects are estimated from getting these information at first. At the same time, for detecting quantitative defects, whole specimen weldability estimation is pursued by multifeature pattern recognition, which is a kind of fuzzy pattern recognition. For user friendly, by weldability estimation results are shown each profiles, final reports and visual graphics method, user can easily determined weldability. By applying these system to welding fabrication, these technologies are contribution to on-line weldability estimation.

Urea-SCR system has been known so far as one of effective after treatments for the reduction of NOx. In order to achieve better performance in SCR system, optimal geometric conditions for a urea injection system should be achieved. This research focused to visualize spray characteristics of urea injected SCR system in a heavy duty diesel engine. The experiment was conducted by varying injection pressures and flow rates of urea. This paper presents a compact and miniaturized power detector utilizing low temperature co-fired ceramics(LTCC) technology for the application in wireless handset system to monitor the transmitting power at the frequency of 824-849MHz. The proposed power detector is composed of detector diode, lumped components for matching network, and LTCC stripline coupler based on LTCC substrate technology. A 20dB LTCC stripline direction coupler is designed and implemented with many bending section in order to reduce the practically occupied area for miniaturization. A zero bias schottky diode is adopted for detector design because of its high speed operation with minimized loss. The measured performances of fabricated detector agree well with the predicted results with a good linearity within the effective input RF power range.

A company needs to maintain its machines always workable in order to keep the manufacturing time minimal. If any troubles occur, they should be fixed as soon as possible. But, the complexity of modern machines make the trouble shooting difficult. So, it is important that the monitoring system for automated production system to fix every trobule easily. In this paper new, inverter control system for TG feedback a formula Control was developed. The motor control system with TG feedback controller as an effect of load disturbance, it is very difficult to guarantee the robustness of control system. The function of the implementation are 7G feedback type, and temperature scheme. The Inverter Control System approach is based on master-slave control concept. To show validity of the developed new inverter control system, severial experiments are illustrated.

A Study on the Driving of Ballast for 35W Class (T5 Class) Fluorescent Lamp using a Piezoelectric Transformer Characteristic

It is required small size electronic ballast to fullfill the design philosophy of miniaturizing in the application of slim lamps. However, the traditional magnetic ballasts operated at 50-60Hz have been suffered from noticeable flicker, high loss, large crest factor and heavy weight. In this study, in order to solve these problems, It was proposed for driving 35W Class fluorescent lamp in the new type of electronic ballast, which is composed of rectifier, active power factor corrector, series resonant half bridge inverter and piezoelectric transformer. A 35W class(T5 class) fluorescent lamp is driven to successful by the fabricated ballast with piezoelectric transformer. The Mode Analysis for field pattern analysis of a Finite Periodic Dielectric Structure

In this paper, we analyze inner- and far-field emitted field pattern by more exactly calculating modes formed from a finite periodic dielectric structure(FPDS). It is assumed that TE-modes are generated in FPDS, and the fields in each layer are determined by proper boundary conditions. Consequently, the fields generate modes in the FPDS and the number of modes depends on its structural characteristics. In this work, the modes betwween dielectric layers and their field patterns are calculated in a specific frequency. In addition. far field patterns are given by using FFT of the calculated modes.

This paper describes the optimized output performances such as output power and the third order intermodulation in GaN high power transistor packages which consist of chip die, chip capacitors, and wire bonding. The optimized output power according to wire bonding techniques, and third order intermodulation performances according to wire bonding and bias conditions are discussed. In addition, it is shown through the nonlinear simulation that how the output performances are sensitive to the inductance values which are realized by wire bonding for matching network in the limited package area.

In this study, we estimated the influence of electrical pole by FEM(Finite Element Method) and developed protective system by designing and interpreting protective system for electrical pole and overhead optical communication line when abnormal strength worked on messenger wire. Protective system did not shed messenger wire under wind pressure and discontent load but did assign a part to preventing rupture of electrical pole and disconnection of optical communication line through automatically shed messenger wire over fixed strength. Structure of protective system analysis by FEM and prove property by measuring tensile strength for practical product.

The confirmed system application that can supplement paper and pens examination`s shortcoming and could solve examination`s problem which use computer, and help in student guidance through ADHD simpleexamination who utilize OSGi base USB terminal system. Design and Implementation of Dual-Mode Cordless Phone and walkie-Talky System: A Software Radio Approach

An SDR (Software Defined Radio) system based on general purpose computing platform has benefits of ease of software development process, high degree of software compatibility, and cost-effectiveness of general purpose processors. This paper discusses design and implementation of a dual-mode SDR system that supports both cordless phone and walkie-talky system running on Linux-based general purpose computing platform. For this purpose, we designed modulation and demodulation software on open source-based GNU radio middleware. We also designed a customized RF front-end hardware which performs frequency conversion between RF and IF. The proposed SDR system successfully exhibited its ability to operate both cordless phone and walkie-talky communication on Intel processor-based general purpose computing platform. But experience with the prototype SDR system shows that further research is required for run-time software reconfiguration and efficient integration with conventional TCP/IP protocol stacks.

The MoGuT can detect the functional faults using scenarios and operate in SKVM environment.
A Study on the Dipole Chaff RCS for Aircraft

In this paper, the computation of electromagnetic wave scattering is presented for chaff clouds which is widely used to protect an aircraft. The RCS depends on the wind, the aircraft velocity, and the atmospheric diffusion. It is assumed that the RF chaff is a thin dipole antenna and the RCS is calculated based on the scattering wave theory. The theoretical estimation and the simulation results are compared and shown a good agreement.

Performance Evaluation of Flash Memory-Based File Storages: NAND vs. NOR

This paper covers the performance evaluation of two flash memory-based file storages, NAND and NOR, which are the major flash types. To evaluate their performances, we set up separate file storages for the two types of flash memories on a PocketPC-based experimental platform. Using the platform, we measured and compared the I/O throughputs in terms of buffer size, amount of used space, and kernel-level write caching. According to the results from our experiments, the overall performance of the NAND-based storage is higher than that of NOR by up to 4.8 and 5.7 times in write and read throughputs, respectively. The experimental results show the relative strengths and weaknesses of the two schemes and provide insights which we believe assist in the design of flash memory-based file storages.

This paper studies a collision detection technique to dealing with moving polyhedra. Even though the problem is well-studied in computer graphics, the existing methods are inapplicable to highly dynamic environments. We use the GJK algorithm to determine collisions between convex objects. Also, our method is applied for moving objects.

Power Support Device (PSD) Based Authentication Protocol for Secure WiBro Services

An authentication between a user`s terminal and a Access Control Router (ACR) is preceded so that a user receives secure WiBro services. Otherwise they can be exposed from many attack risks. So the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) constituted a mechanism of the mutual authentication for WiBro service. In mechanism a user executes the mutual authentication between a Portable Equipment (PE) and the ACR by using Portable Internet Subscriber Identity Module (PISIM). But this standard needs many message to authenticate the ACR and the users cann`t use wireless Internet service. Therefore in this paper we propose the key agreement protocol between the PSS and the ACR to authenticate the PSS to ACR. At this time Power Support Device (PSD) fer supporting the calculated quantity of the PSS is participated in the key agreement protocol. The ACR sends a generated key to Key Authentication Server (KAS) via secure IPsec tunnel and then it preserves the identity of the PSS and the value of key after it enciphered them. In conclusion we analyze the security and efficiency of the proposed protocol.
Developed of Ubiquitous Care Management System for Exercise History Information service

The modern people effort to lead good life. Specially, the patients which prevention of a disease only is cure from this diabetes patient, the old and weak, the hospitals needing a treatment through exercises, and receive medical treatment in houses cure exercise according to exercise prescription. These papers developed a Ubiquitous Care Management system based on Zigbee. This is a system supporting so as accumulation manages the exercise history information that occurred when get exercises prescription, and exercise systematically, and to do preventive of a disease. Can confirm own exercise history and health information through web pages, and this system notifies contents about an exercise treatment to patients as use a cellular phone.

Recently, it`s increasing to use the applied technology related to the quantitative and qualitative growth of industry area. One of them is software to be used in industry area, and software is the most important part in using the industrial equipments. Therefore, the quality of software in the industrial devices determines the performance of the devices. At this time, it`s inspired an evaluation and measurement of software quality to have within industrial equipment, and it`s forming the research and development in domestic and foreign. In this paper, we constructed evaluation metrics based on ISO/IEC 12119, the International Standard for the general requirements of software and ISO/IEC 9126-2, the International Standard for the evaluation of software qualify characteristics and sub-characteritics, and for this accomplishment, It has been designed and developed industrial software international standard compatible approval system which approve a quality based on quality test result of industrial software using the ISO/IEC 14598-6 that international standard for organization of evaluation module.

Ji, Syok-young wrote a book named Sinhaksinseol(新學新說) in 1891, one of the first hygiene books in Korea. There were the conditions of modern housing like lighting, ventilation and dry and fresh air of a housing site in the contents of the book. Because the book was written when the modern hygiene theory had just been accepted, traditional concept of `Yangseng(養生),` but it dealt the main environmental conditions of hygienic housing at first, which makes it the leader of modern housing discourses through the newspapers, magazines, academic journals or textbooks from 1890s mid to 1910.
Analysis of quality improvement effects by construction of sewer systems in Nam River Basin

Effects of establishments of more sewer systems on water quality in Nam River, Deokchun River, and Jinyang Lake were analyzed for various scenarios using QUAL2E, WASP 7 water quality model. Three different scenarios were tested: 1) 20.8% of sewer diffusion rate which is same to the existing condition. 2) Expansion of sewer system to 65.2% which would emit less pollutants, BOD 2350.5 kg/d, TN 216.0 kg/d, TP 44.0kg/d. 3) Pollutants emission to maintain first grade water quality in Nam River, Jinyang Lake, BOD and TN in the case 2 were 7.69%, 2.10% lower than those in the case 1 in the Nam River. And in the Jinyang Lake, BOD, TN, and TP in the case 2 were 10.25%, 1.37%, 2.94% lower than those in the case 1. However the simulations showed that water quality could not hold down first grade water quality standard level with the establishments of more sewer systems. To satisfy the criteria in the Nam River and Jinyang Lake, BOD emission must be reduced 27.2%, 37.05% compared to those in the case 1.

A Study of Issuance of Medical Records Using AMOS

This paper investigates the issuance of medical records of patients and caregivers who have obtained medical records from the Medical Record Information Center of "a university" in Daejeon from January through March in 2006. According to the structural equation, "the time zone for issuance of medical records" was -0.01 as a path coefficient against "how medical records are issued" and +0.86 against "ordinary characteristics." As shown above, privacy and confidentiality are what really matters in the management of medical records. Therefore, they must be protected regardless of whether the medical records are hard or electronic copies.
Effects of ultrasonication on the analysis of sulforaphane content in vegetables

The effect of ultrasonication on the sulforaphane analysis in cruciferous vegetables was investigated by GC/MS. The ultrasonication of the analysis samples was carried out in dichloromethane as a solvent, which was followed by concentration in nitrogen gas, and the analysis of sulforaphane was performed using selective ion monitoring (SIM) at m/z 72, 160, 55 and 114. The content of sulforaphane was the highest in the extract of broccoli (149 ppm), and followed by cabbage (67.9 ppm) and radish (35.4 ppm). When the vegetable samples were shaked after ultrasonication, the extraction efficiency of sulforaphane was 2.7-fold enhanced, compared to the extraction by shaking. The result suggested that pretreatment including sonication can be used fer improving the extraction efficiency of sulforaphane.
Fibrinolytic Activity and Proteomic Analysis of Bacillus licheniformis HK-12 Isolated from Chungkuk-Jang

The strain HK-12 was enriched and isolated from naturally fermented soybean for the production of fibrinolytic enzyme and the proteome of this enzyme induced during the incubation period was analyzed. The activity of fibrinolytic enzyme derived from supernatants of the HK-12 culture was performed by fibrin plate method for solid fibrinolytic activity. As the result, the fibrinolytic activity of HK-12 grown on the nutrient agar media was about 2.3 times greater than that of plasmin used as standard. The purified enzyme was prepared by a series of purification process including ammonium sulfate precipitation, DEAE-cellulose, Sephadex chromatography. The molecular weight of the enzyme was determined to approximately 23kDa with SDS-PAGE. In order to examine which strain HK-12 proteins increased or decreased during the incubation period, 2-DE analysis was performed. Protein spot #1 significantly expressed on the 2-DE gel of bacteria cultivated for 36-hrs was analysed. As the result of protein sequence analysis using MALDI-TOF MS, one protein was identified as serine protein kinase (PrkA).

Performance of corporation results from operation of tangible and intangible assets. Thus, measuring performance need to be taken place in terms of tangible and intangible aspects. However, the research objects, in the measurement of performance, do not guarantee researchers to achieve quantitative results and it is difficult to have objectivity. There are also many different points between a big enterprise and a small-medium size company. These facts require new measurement methods. This study suggests aspects of measurement method as task, attitude, ability and qualification for small-medium size companies. Specially, this study suggest individual measurement method than organizational one. The research system consists of users, team leaders and staffs charge of BSC and the users can access BSC sewer to input, to evaluate and to prove data through their own accounts.

We aim to confirm empirically that a corporate`s R&D expenditure effect positively on its value. As a result of the regression analysis on financial statements of KSE and KOSDAQ enterprises, the sum of R&D expenditure effects positively on corporate value. Moreover, we have the result that R&D expenditure appropriated as cost has more effect on corporate value than the expenditure appropriated as asset.
