Seismic Analysis of LNG Storage Tank

In this paper, seismic analysis of LNG storage tank is performed. The analysis models are both pipe and pipe, wall and guide of LNG tank. And equivalent static analysis and response spectrum analysis are applied to these two models, respectively. From the analysis, deflections and equivalent stresses are compared. Results show that response spectrum analysis is more accurate than equivalent static analysis for LNG storage tank.

It`s necessary to invent a measure to deal with expected counter results when observing mechanical behaviors under the various operations and it can be done by measuring the stress and deformation characteristics of the Automotive Air-Conditioner Hose, which is a hose made up of a rubber hose, an aluminum sleeve and pipe. In this paper, characteristics of the stress and deformation characteristics of the Automotive Air-Conditioner Hose which plays an important role in circulation of refrigerant of an air conditioner in an automobile are analyzed using the finite element method.

Since vibration properties of a building structure were not easy to find out through a test, it was very difficult to in advance evaluate an influence of earthquake or other excitations on the building structure. However, currently, along with the development of the vibration analysis technique, it is possible to predict the structural performances of the buildings. The prediction of the vibration properties of the building structure has mainly employed a two-dimensional plane analysis so far, but not a three-dimensional analysis. The two-dimensional plane analysis encounters a reliability problem when the building is asymmetrical. This study has performed a three-dimensional modeling and vibration analysis on residential buildings when a subway passes below.
Study on the Design of Bracket Strip Layout Using Cimatron Die Design

Strip layout design in progressive die is an important factor that determines the applicability of mass production. In this study, the layout design of bracket strips used fer automobiles was executed. The strip layout design was made in 3D with the use of Cimatron die design, an automation module rather than a 3D modeling module. Blank layout has been optimized through a layer arrangement of the wide run positioning inside carrier (double-row and two-pass type). The 3D CAD/CAM software used was Cimatron Die Design; the strip layout design was completed in ten processes.

This study presents the preform injection molding and the blow molding of the injection stretch-blow molding process for PET bottles. The numerical analysis of the injection molding and the blow molding of a preform is considered in this paper using CAE with a view to minimize the warpage and the thickness. In order to determine the design parameters and processing conditions in injection/blow molding, it is very important to establish the numerical model with physical phenomenon. In this study, a three dimensional model has been introduced for the purpose and flow simulations of filling, post-filling and cooling process are carried out. The simulations resulted in the warpage in good agreement with the measurements. Also, from the result of numerical analysis, we appropriately predicted the warpage, deformation and thickness distribution along the product walls.
Study on the Non-isothermal Crystallization Behavior of Polypropylene/Corn Starch-MB Blends

Polypropylene (PP)/corn starch master batch(starch-MB) blends with different PP compositions of 90, 80, 70, and 60 wt% were prepared by melt compounding at
, using lab scale Brabender mixer. The chemical structures, thermal properties and non-isothermal crystallization behavior of the PP/starch-MB blends were investigated by FT-infrared spectrometry (FT-IR), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA). The fabrication of the PP/starch-MB blend was confirmed by the existence of hydroxy group in FT-IR spectrum. There was no district change in melting temperature and melting enthalpy, and TGA curve indicates a decrease in degradation temperature with starch-MB content. The non-isothermal crystallization process was analyzed using by Avrami equation. The Avrami exponents were in the range of 2.71-3.97 for PP and 1.48-1.99 for PP/starch-MB blonds. The activation energies calculated by Kissinger method were 233 kJ/mol for PP, 484 kJ/mol for PP90, 541 kJ/mol for PP80, 553 kJ/mol for PP70, and 422 kJ/mol for PP60.
Design and Implementation of a 9V Mini-Electrocardiograph(ECG) system

In this paper, a mini-Electrocardiograph(ECG) system operated by a general 9V alkaline battery is designed and implemented. The manufactured ECG consists of the instrumentation amplifier stage for detecting and amplifying the heart signal, the high pass filter(HPF), the low pass filter(LPF), the differentiator cirduit, and the peak detector. The detected heart signal through three leads is displayed cleanly on the oscilloscope, which shows the good operation of our ECG. As the detected heart signal is digitalized and displayed on the small LCD unit, the convenience of easy checkup and portability of the implemented ECG can be largely improved. Therefore, whenever and wherever anyone may checkup his/her cardiac state with ease.
Design of a Boradband Power Divider by Distributed Network Synthesis

In this paper, the synthesis of distributed impedance transformers is presented that is essential for power divider design, whereby a broadband power divider is designed. Transfer functions of distributed transformers are synthesized with Chebyshev approximation, and their element values are calculated for various minimum insertion losses(MIL) and ripples. Desired performance of transformers is obtained by optimizing MIL`s and ripples of a transfer function. As an application example, a four-way power divider is designed that operates over 2 to 8GHz frequency range. Experimental results are shown to approach the design performance, so transformer design by distributed network synthesis proves to be useful to power divider design.
Automatic Virtual Platform Generation for Fast SoC Verification

In this paper, we propose an automatic generation method of transaction level(TL) model from algorithmic model to verify system specification fast and effectively using virtual platform. The TL virtual platform including structural properties such as timing, synchronization and real-time is one of the effective verification frameworks. However, whenever change system specification or HW/SW mapping, we must rebuild virtual platform and additional design/verification time is required. And the manual description is very time-consuming and error-prone process. To solve these problems, we build TL library which consists of basic components of virtual platform such as CPU, memory, timer. We developed a set of design/verification tools in order to generate a virtual platform automatically. Our tools generate a virtual platform which consists of embedded real-time operating system (RTOS) and hardware components from an algorithmic modeling. And for communication between HW and SW, memory map and device drivers are generated. The effectiveness of our proposed framework has been successfully verified with a Joint Photographic Expert Group (JPEG) and H.264 algorithm. We claim that our approach enables us to generate an application specific virtual platform
faster than manual designs. Also, we can refine an initial platform incrementally to find a better HW/SW mapping. Furthermore, application software can be concurrently designed and optimized as well as RTOS by the generated virtual platform
Development of Wide Area DAS for Distribution Control Center

This paper presents KEPCO research project for developing wide area DAS by reengineering conventional DAS and its functional upgrade. Through the research project system design requirements were prepared based on the local operation status and oversea examples. Application softwares were also developed supporting integrated operation of several area. The system implementation was performed on Choongnam regional head office for pilot operation. The developed wide area DAS will be fully installed on 41 DCC nation wide and expected to contribute on innovation of our distribution network operation.
Characteristics of Carbon Nanotube Oscillator for Embedded System

The coupled oscillation of multi-walled carbon-nanotube (MWCNT) oscillators consisting of (5n, 5n) CNTs was investigated by molecular dynamics simulations. The results show that the inter-wall coupling leads to frequency splits. And there are consistently three primary frequency peaks for the quadric-walled, penta-walled and hexa-walled CNT oscillators. It is independent of the wall parameters, suggesting applications as triple-frequency generators. Furthermore, at least one of the primary frequencies of a MWCNT oscillator is lower than that of its double-walled counterpart.
A Study on the Interface between DAS and SCADA by using Direct Method

DAS and SCADA system are main systems, which operate and manage the power system by using computer and communication technology. But DAS and SCADA have been operated independently in Korea, so there was some time delay in the fault handling and live-line work. To improve that problems, studies on the interface between DAS and SCADA have been needed. From November 2005 to December 2007, the pilot project has been performed in KEPCO`s branch offices, as a result, direct method will be applied widely all over the country until 2010 because the operation information of substation users want can be transmitted fast and it is possible to control 43RC directly although the expense for direct method is about 1.3 times larger than that for web method. To improve problems revealed during the pilot project, substation object to object communication method is proposed and interface database automatic generation and interface system diagnosis and logging functions are developed. Interface data point and communication data type are defined, substation single line diagram automatic generation or manual editing function, SCADA monitoring and controlling function, log data managing function are developed in SCADA HMI program. It is expecting to reduce the average time for each outage about 33% and to improve the reliability, efficiency of operation, execution of DAS from automatic load transfer under a fault, and to contribute to export project.
A Study on the development of high power ceramic waveguide filter for UMTS

The present study, which is about a ceramic waveguide filter for UMTS, designed a filer using a circuit and structure simulator, suggested a design method at a required frequency band, and developed a waveguide filter, which can be applied at a power of over 50W and be miniaturized, through implementing the design and examining related variables and characteristics. In the results of designing a waveguide filter with the center frequency of 1,950 MHz and 2,140 MHz and examining its characteristics, bandwidth was 60MHz, insertion loss was below 1.0dB, return loss was over 20dB, and attenuation at the relative frequency band was over 60dB. In the results of a power station test, the characteristics did not change and internal temperature was below
at 50.8W, and this confirmed that the filter is usable at over 50W.

To compensate voltage error of the channel selecting filter, a current comparison type voltage tuning circuit is designed. Because the proposed current comparison type voltage tuning circuit is not need to attach another subcircuit, the chip size can be reduced, therefore the proposed circuit is very useful in the low voltage and low power channel filter. We used three channels including bluetooth communication system as application circuits of the proposed tuning circuit. As the results of HSPICE simulation using

Design of Controller for Nonlinear Multivariable System Using Dynamic Neural Unit

The variable structure control(VSC) with sliding mode is an important and interesting topic in modern control of nonlinear systems. However, the discontinuous control law in VSC leads to undesirable chattering in practice. As a method solving this problem, in this paper, we propose a scheme of the VSC with neural network sliding surface. A neural network sliding surface with boundary layer is employed to solve discontinuous control law. The proposed controller can eliminate the chattering problem of the conventional VSC. The effectiveness of the proposed control scheme is verified by simulation results.

There have been a large number of trials of the experimental education in engineering using virtual laboratories implemented in virtual space, namely on the Web. Although virtual education is regarded as an effective educational means that overcomes the limit of time and space and bring high teaming effects, the problem of lack of reality must be solved. The present study proposed and implemented a real-time remote laboratory as a solution for the problem of lack of reality in virtual education. The remote laboratory provides functions with which learners can perform experiments by remote-controlling circuits and equipment related to experiments and practices on the Web and gets data and image information, so through it learners can make realistic experiments at any time and in any place. The remote laboratory module based on Internet open sources such as JAVA Web start technology, FTP technology and Telnet technology in server-client environment can be implemented at low cost, and is effectively applicable to engineering experiment education in various areas related to real-time hardware control.

This paper describes a developed 5Watt power amplifier module fer mobile communication system using Gallium Nitride (GaN) devices. Three amplification stages such as pre-amplifier, driver amplifier, and power amplifier have been fabricated and measured separately in advance for incorporating the total power amplifier module and estimating the performances. In addition, a defected ground structure is combined with the output stage of the power amplifier module for improving harmonic rejection and adjacent channel power (ACP) characteristics. The measured performances of the GaN power amplifier module include 58dB,min of gain, 37dBm,min of output power, 50dBc,min of harmonic rejection, 35dBc,min of IMD3 for 2-tone input, and 35dBc,min of ACP at 2.1GHz frequency band.
A Study on method to construct system for u-Safe fire management support

In Seoul, there are lots of skyscrapers that have above 60 stories and buildings that have more than 8 basement levels, as well as massive distribution complex region which is connected to subways, departments, malls, hotels, and exhibition halls. When an accident, such as fire and explosion, happens in these areas or structures, if we can`t find where fire-fighters are, who go into the building to suppress the fire, we couldn`t be sure of their safety as well as effective command. Actually, it may cause much more damage itself and restrict either fire suppression or lifesaving. To protect people`s life and properties as much as possible, this study will show the method to construct system of disaster-management supports with effective operation of fire force and scientific fire strategy in the scene by using Ubiquitous technique to enormous disasters.

Sasang medicine is our country`s unique traditional medicine based on the classification of individual physical constitution. In the Sasang medicine, what is considered the most important task is to categorize Sasang constitution exactly. Therefore, security of objective elements and diagnosis index is a problem awaiting solution in Sasang constitution classification. To this the paper abstracted result value from objectification, visualization, a fixed quantity of Sasang constitution to analyze face image signals and voice signals. And, comparing the differences constitution would like to develop system classification of Sasang constitution. Specially, image and voice signals are different because of gender, age, region so it composed Sasang constitution group to 40-50 years women in Seoul. To extract of these image and voice signals wanted to perform comparison, analysis in constitution. Finally, it would like to prove a significance of research result through experiment.
Search Method for Consensus Pattern of Transcription Factor Binding Sites in Promoter Region

Located on the upstream of a gene, the promoter region that plays a very important role in the control of gene expression as a signal part has various binding sites for transcription factors. These binding sites are present in various parts of the promoter region and assume an aspect of highly conserved consensus sequence pattern. This paper deals with the introductions of search methods for consensus pattern, including Wataru method, EM algorithm, MEME algorithm, Genetic algorithm and Phylogenetic Footprinting method, and intends to give future prospects of research on this field.
Implementation of Real-time Stereoscopic Image Conversion Algorithm Using Luminance and Vertical Position

In this paper, the 2D/3D converting algorithm is proposed. The single frame of 2D image is used fur the real-time processing of the proposed algorithm. The proposed algorithm creates a 3D image with the depth map by using the vertical position information of a object in a single frame. In order to real-time processing and improve the hardware complexity, it performs the generation of a depth map using the image sampling, the object segmentation with the luminance standardization and the boundary scan. It might be suitable to a still image and a moving image, and it can provide a good 3D effect on a image such as a long distance image, a landscape, or a panorama photo because it uses a vertical position information. The proposed algorithm can adapt a 3D effect to a image without the restrictions of the direction, velocity or scene change of an object. It has been evaluated with the visual test and the comparing to the MTD(Modified Time Difference) method using the APD(Absolute Parallax Difference).
Evaluation Method of Technical Review in Software Development Process

Cost effectiveness is greatly related with the degree of reducing the testing cost by the technical reviews. In this paper, we present a new metric My for evaluating the cost effectiveness of technical reviews during software development. First, we estimate and compare My with conventional measure using data collected during practical software development procedure, then we show the validity and usefulness of the proposed measure My. Also by formulating the relationship between the data collected during the reviews and the test, we present a method to estimate the value of the metric My using only the data collected during review phase.

In this paper, we propose a multi-stage user authenticating system in which system at first stage, the system authenticate a user through his GPS information and IP address. At second stage, the system authenticate a user based on ID and Password as other systems does. Through the use of proposed system, aged person or children enjoy the game on a much safer environment.

The crucial part of graphical model is to compute the posterior distribution of parameters plus with the hidden variables given the observed data. In this paper, implementation of variational Bayes method for Gaussian mixture model and derivation of factorial variational approximation have been proposed. A Design of Smart Cane for Visually Impaired Person

An official report printed in June, 2005 represents that there are 180 thousands people with visual impairments in Korea, and 10 thousands of people with visual impairments are newly increased by every year since 2000. They are neglected from getting education, selecting job, and enjoying recreation activity. Above all, they have strong restriction when they are walking on the street; they are facing difficulty and inconvenience. Many smart cane products were introduced but expensive cost blocked popularization of them. In this study we have an object to development of smart cane that is chip and proper for korean street. For this, we suggest basic design of smart cane and experiment on ultrasonic sensors for visually impaired person.
POP based Integration Management System for Vehicle Parts Production Enhancement

In the parts including a vehicle, standard and contents are different according to type of automobile. Although the parts are same, the quality and requirement all are different according to vehicle production version. Also the business is shared at each department in a production line. So if a part is changed, each team or the department must recognize information which is changed. But currently if the event can occur at like this each department, because of parts management through handwork, the unification of information is difficult. Therefore in this paper, we applied POP systems at the automobile part enterprise and constructed POP based the automobile part productive integrated management system. This system supported productive information from mechanical, equipment, worker, and products in real-time and data update also is processed automatically. When this system is introduced, work time and cost remarkably will be reduced.

The security protocol of WFMS could not reflect the nature of collaboration in WFMS, resulting to collaboration of WFMS on Internet causing the operation problems of WFMS. This study suggests collaboration based security protocols based on the collaboration of WFMS on Internet. To reflect the nature of collaboration in WFMS, this study analyzes security requirements for WFMS. Based on security requirements, this study suggests a security architecture and security protocols for WFMS using security agents.
The improvement of the SDMB service in the border adding time delay to the satellite signal

Satellite Digital Multimedia Broadcasting(SDMB) needs Gap Fillers(GFs) to cover the non-service areas. However, SDMB mobile phones which are not located in GFs service area receive signals directly from the satellite because it is impossible to cover all SDMB service with GFs. Therefore, there is a border between the GFs service coverage and the satellite service coverage and it causes a time delay in signals which are from the GFs or the satellite. The time delay is the reason why SDMB service deteriorates. In this paper, I show how to reduce the deterioration of SDMB service in the border area between the GFs and the satellite adding the time delay to the satellite signal and the GFs signal. I think that this method is helpful in reducing the deterioration, especially in the early stages of SDMB service, which the GFs are not spread all over the nation yet.

Recently, there is increasing the development requirement of middleware and interface for GPS(Global Positioning System), RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification), sensor networks. GPS supports a useful location based service. RFID supports products logistic and distribution services through the identification. A sensor network collects a context information, such as humidity, temperature and atmospheric pressure. This paper implements and verifies a integrated service middleware for supporting efficiently process of sensing data collected from RFID, GPS and sensor network. This middleware have the temporary store function, the redundancy exclusion function, certification function, the classification function and the database storage function. Additionary, this middleware connects with low-level adaptor using socket interface and supports the high-level application services using database connection. Therefore, user can develop easily various many ubiquitous application system using proposed middleware instead of each RFID middleware, GPS middleware and, middleware based on sensor network.

Recently, it is progressing a study for supporting various application services using OpenAPI(Application Program Interface). But it is not enough a study related OpenAPI(Open Application Interface) to access many collected context data of sensor networks for ubiquitous application services. Therefor, this paper presents Pull/Push service model based on sensor networks, and implements OpenAPI fer Pull/push application services. And, we design and implement OpenAPI using web service for Pull application services. This Pull OpenAPI supports users the context data of temperature and humidity using the remote service based on .Net framework in sensor networks. And, we design and implement OpenAPI using TCP/IP socket interface for Push application services in sensor network. This Push OpenAPI provides users a state of temperature, humidity collecting in sensor networks. Consequently, user can develop easily various application services as supporting OpenAPI instead of closed application interface of sensor networks based on existed specific database.

Recently, the university environment has been changed faster than before. It has based on university environment and IT infrastructure. Especially, most of local university has devised development plan such as improving the image and competitive power of campus. Digital, Electronic and Mobile Campus has increased the importance as people realize that the use of technology can improve the learning process. U-Campus of latest IT Technology need a service environment of which the practical use is possible through IT analysis of the members. For example u-campus setup of mobile offers the convenience to the members. We expected thing to use much, even though actual condition investigation about IT environment of the user is insufficient. The inconvenience of mobile could not be activated to the service for proactive use. The importance became the result about u-campus service setup of a company and university center. This service environment cannot offer specific information of center members for which the service implements. The purpose of this study is to propose the system architecture of intelligent ubiquitous house which is able to team the human behavior by itself and to predict the forthcoming situation, and to provide the customized and personalized service based on human behavior. The suggestions for advanced intelligent ubiquitous house are as follows; 1) Service should be combined with dwellers` behavior pattern, location moving pattern and service pattern in order to provide the personalized and customized service. 2) The system should be equipped with 4 components such as Agent, Database, Working Memory, and Log Data. Especially. This proposed system architecture of advanced ubiquitous house, which are equipped with these 4 components, will be the basis of providing customized service to every dwellers by learning dwellers` behavior pattern, accumulating dwellers` information, and recognizing dweller`s lift style as time goes by.

This study aims at proposing a method to guide people to the most efficient route in an emergency through addressing the limitations of the existing research and providing a solution. Most of the existing intelligent guidance system tend to guide people to the shortest-distance path to the exit. A problem lies to the fact that the shortest-distance path doest not gurantee the most efficient way of evacuation. Rather than taking the shortest-distance path, this research proposes a way of taking the shortest-time path by introducing a real time loop sensor.

There has been a lot of research on the creation of emergency evacuation simulators for analyzing the evacuation behaviors. However, it is remarkable that there are very few research on the characteristic of the behavior pattern in crowing, especially the evacuation time delay caused by the collisions and falling-downs, etc. In addition, it is necessary to point out the lack of the research on specifying the location where the collisions and the falling-downs take places. This research aims at creating an emergency evacuation simulator which takes the characteristic of the behavior pattern in crowing - collisions, falling downs, etc - into account. We are also hoping that it will be possible to provide more accurate and useful data ffr emergency evacuation system design through using this simulator.

Growing needs for efficient management of water resources urge the joint operation of dams and integrated management of whole basin. As one of the tools for supporting above tasks, this study aims to constitute a hydrologic model that can simulate the streamflow discharges at some control points located both upper and down stream of dams. One of the currently available models is being studied to be applied with a least effort in order to support the ongoing project of KWATER (Korea Water Resources Corporation), "Establishment of integrated operation scheme for the dams in Han River Basin". On this study, following works have been carried out : division of Han River Basin into 24 sub-basins, use of rainfall data of 151 stations to make spatial distribution of rainfall, selection of control points such as Soyanggang Dam, Chungju Dam, Chungju Release Control Dam, Heongseong Dam, Hwachun Dam, Chuncheon Dam, Uiam Dam, Cheongpyung Dam and Paldang Dam, selection of SSARR (Streamflow Synthesis and Reservoir Regulation) model as a hydrologic model, preparation of input data of SSARR model, sensitivity analysis of parameter using hydrologic data of 2002. The sensitivity analysis showed that soil moisture index versus runoff percent (SMI-ROP), baseflow infiltration index versus baseflow percent (BII-BFP) and surface-subsurface separation (S-SS) parameters are higher sensitive parameters to the simulation result.

Anti-microbial activities of Scutellariae Radix Extracts and Sophora flavecens Extracts was tested by formulation, such as skinsoftener, emulsion for 4 weeks. Control contained no preservative, test group contained 1.00% Scutellariae Radix extracts and 1.00% Sophora flavecens extracts and positive control contained parabens and imidazolidinyl urea. To determine the anti-microbial activity of these extract, the 4 germs such as Escherichia coil, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aures, Canida albicans were used. The test groups showed significant anti-microbial activities against the 4 germs at 2 and 3 weeks as compared with control. Anti-microbial activities of these extracts were similar to positive control. Considering that the Scutellariae Radix Extracts and the Sophora flavecens Extracts have a significant anti-microbial activities against 4 germs, it is possible as natural preservative in cosmetics.

We analyzed the physical and chemical properties such as proximate analysis, ultimate analysis, heating values, thermogravimetric analysis, and combustion test for the organic sludges generated from paper and beverage manufacturing industries in the industrial complex. The average water and combustible content of the organic sludges from paper and beverage manufacturing industries were 66.07% and 14.67%, 54.98% and 26.77%, respectively. From the ultimate analysis of the organic sludges, C, H, O, N, and S compositions were 21.75%, 3.42%, 32.70%, 0.63%, and 0.30%, respectively. For beverage manufacturing industries, C, H, O, N, and S compositions were 39.88%, 4.28%, 23.20%. 2.65%, and 0.35%, respectively. According to the results of investigating the lower heating values by Dulong`s equation, 1 sludge(T company) was on the range of over 2,000 kcal/kg. An electrochemical reactor was designed and operated to treat the solution containing endocrine disruptive compounds such as phenol and bisphenol A. An experiment involving the electrochemical oxidation of bisphenol A was performed with the use of a dimensionally stable anode (DSA). The apparent current, conductivity, and the gap between cathode and anode were selected as design parameters. The phenol removal rate increased with an increase in apparent current. The bisphenol A removal rate increased with an increase in apparent current efficiency. An increase in the conductivity also led to an increase in the rate of removal of bisphenol A. The gap between cathode and anode did not affect the bisphenol A removal rate or the cathodic current efficiency.

This study aims at finding blood glucose levels in rural residents and factors influencing their glucose levels. For these purposes, the researcher surveyed 1,857 residents in a rural area, Geumsan-gun, Chungcheongnam-do between January and February 2006. The Korean Product Liability Act established the principle that a manufacturer has a duty to take care of a person who is not the customer who bought the product for him. In this instance, there is a duty to the patient for whom the product was purchased by the hospital from the pharmaceutical company. Therefore, the pharmaceutical company has the product liability for adverse reactions to the contrast medium. But the possibility for the patient to successfully sue the pharmaceutical company is quite low, because the patient needs to prove that a "defect" in the unsafe product was the cause of his injuries. And the physician or the radiological technologist can not reduce his liability risks based on the Product Liability Act. On the contrary, The has the product liability because diluting contrast medium belongs to the product category.
A Petri Net based Disassembly Sequence Planning Model with Precedence Operations

This paper presents a Petri Net (PN) based disassembly sequence planning model with precedence operations. All feasible disassembly sequences are generated by a disassembly tree and a disassembly sequence is determined using the disassembly precedence and disassembly value matrix, The precedence of disassembly operations is determined through a disassembly tree and the value of disassembly is induced by economic analysis in the end-of-life phase. To solve the disassembly sequence planning model with precedence operations, a heuristic algorithm based on PNs is developed. The developed algorithm generates and searches a partial reachability graph to arrive at an optimal or near-optimal disassembly sequence based on the firing sequence of transitions of the PN model. A refrigerator is shown as an example to demonstrate the effectiveness of proposed model.

A Study of Success Factors for Information System Outsourcing

The information system outsourcing has been received considerable attentions in recent years. Despite it great potential, the execution of the outsourcing need to be guided to avoid any possible failure. This study shows how the difference in the resources and capabilities between the customer company and the service provider affects the quality of partnership, finally the success of information system outsourcing. From the hypotheses testings, it is found that If the financial ability of the customer company is higher than that of the service provider, the partnership is good. In addition, If the IT resource of the service provider is higher than that of the customer company, the qualify of partnership is high. As a conclusion, the partnership quality has an effects on the success of outsourcing. Especially, the trust has an greater effect on the success of outsourcing than cooperation does.

Hotel companies have to offer well furnished of a lodging and a meal and must keep the best customer supporting service. Because, customers have very strict standards and require fancy service to hotel that they pay. The Customers have different criteria to select hotel according to their purpose such as accommodation, banquet or convention. Hotel recognitions are also different along the purposes. I analyzed effects of hotel choice by intention to use hotel of customers in this research. To verify the effects, I used a structured model by AMOS 4.0 This study results show that the customers chose hotel in accordance with their intention of stay ; accommodation, banquet or convention etc. However, it is not significant hypothesis, that the guests select hotel along the brand recognition or the service perception.
A Study on Moderating Role of Business Incubating Service in Relationship between Entrepreneurs` Characteristics and Business Performance

This study focuses on examination a) of impacts of entrepreneurs` psychological characteristics on business performance (need fur achievement and risk-taking propensity), b) of impacts of entrepreneur`s competency characteristics(vision, opportunity recognition, social deftness, frequency of networking and reliability) on business performance, and c) of controlling impacts of business incubator on the relationship between entrepreneurs` characteristics (psychological characteristics and competency) and business performance. According to a study, among entrepreneurs` psychological characteristics, need for achievement has a significant impact on business performance, whereas risk-taking propensity is found to have no significant impact on business performance. In addition, among entrepreneurs` competency characteristics, vision, social deftness, and network reliability have no impact on business performance, whereas opportunity recognition and frequency of network have an impact on business performance. On the other hand, need for achievement has a negative impact on controlling business incubator services. Business incubator services have a significant impact on the relationship between vision, network reliability and business performance.

The sampling firms consists of 45 KOSDAQ firms that went bankrupt from 2000 to 2007 and 45 healthy firms which are selected in accordance with the sizes of assets. It has also selected the 30 sampling firms for the confirmation of the model in the same way. According to the result of the in-depth analysis, the variables related to security among the 17 indexes of financial affairs that have been used in this study for 5 years show a noticeable difference between a bankrupt firm and a healthy one. The accuracy of failed firms using this model for confirmation demonstrates 76.7% in 5 years before the bankruptcy, 76.7% in 4 years before that, 65.0% in 3 years before it, 76.7% in 2 years, 88.3% in 1 year. This data shows that the process from a healthy firm to a bankrupt one has progressed gradually and confirms the value of the index of financial affairs, exhibiting the accuracy with 83.8% of a presuming sample and 76.7% of a confirming sample for 5 years.

This paper is to suggest a concrete way about imperiled domestic hot spring tourism and then provide some ideas to solve the problems related to public health promotion, aging society. In this paper, the author proposes the healthy tourism formation to solve such above problems. The author also proposes Asan Hot spring areas as the most healthy places for tourists. Therefore, this paper introduces that Asan Hot Spring Areas will contribute to the economic development in Korea. There will contribute to improve the nation`s image and produce much more benefits by hot spring resources develop of the A-San springs area.
A Study on Enhancement of Mathematics Education for Engineering College in Sang-Myung University

Recently, the number of applicants for the engineering college is gradually decreased all over the nation. Additionally, the concerns of fall of freshman mathematical ability are raised due to the incomplete high school education. Therefore, the local universities endeavor in order to improve the quality of mathematics education, and study the countermeasure against the crisis. As part of these efforts, Sang-Myung University founds the innovation center for engineering education. The center derives several ideas in order to enhance the mathematics education quality. In this paper, the enhancement plans for the mathematics education in Sang-Myung University are proposed. Results in this paper will be helpful for other university to enhance the mathematics education as reference materials.
