On the Development of the Authoritative Representations of Submarine for Engagement Level Simulation

This paper describes and explains that the engagement level model of submarine can be used in underwater engagement simulation taking reuse, interoperability, and extension to the engineering leveled simulation into consideration. WBS(Work Break-down Structure), internal data interface, and I/O data about the engagement level model of submarine are developed. It describes the modeling method of components of submarine model as well. In this paper, the non-acoustic detection and stealth models are excluded because those models are not related to the underwater engagement, so the excluded models need to be developed in the future.
A Study on Fault Detection of Cycle-based Signals using Wavelet Transform

Fault detection of cycle-based signals is typically performed using statistical approaches. Univariate SPC using few representative statistics and multivariate analysis methods such as PCA and PLS are the most popular methods for analyzing cycle-based signals. However, such approaches are limited when dealing with information-rich cycle-based signals. In this paper, process fault defection method based on wavelet analysis is proposed. Using Haar wavelet, coefficients that well reflect the process condition are selected. Next, Hotelling's
chart using selected coefficients is constructed for assessment of process condition. To enhance the overall efficiency of fault detection, the following two steps are suggested, i.e. denoising method based on wavelet transform and coefficient selection methods using variance difference. For performance evaluation, various types of abnormal process conditions are simulated and the proposed algorithm is compared with other methodologies.
Anti Air Warfare analysis & Design of the Patrol Killer Experiment Combat System by the Model-Based-Simulation

Anti-Air Warfare(AAW) functionality of the naval combat system is the key functionality to ensure the ship's survivability. We have applied a novel method using model-based-simulation to analyze and design AAW functionality of the Patrol Killer Experimemnt Combat System. In this approach, an AAW functional model is described with the FSM(Finite State Machine) and directly executed for the AAW simulation. After prototyping using model based simulation, Hardware In Loop Simulation(HILS) is conducted as the AAW functionality is interfaced with the other ones of the combat system for completing the integration of the system components. This incremental and iterative development approach based on the model based simulation can minimize the development risks and costs caused by the system complexity for military system, bringing out the merit of the rapid prototyping.
Implementation and Performance Analysis of SOA Model using Service Platform for .NET Framework

Service-Oriented Architecture(SOA) define the interaction method between two computing entities that one entity performs a unit task instead of another entity. This, unit task, is called "Service" and interaction of these services should have independency and loosely coupled task. The effect of SOA's main functions such as loosely coupled task and independent interoperability with influence the possibility of flexible message communication between different way and different users. In this article, we analyzed the performance about system stabilization between general web service and SOA based application that implemented through WCF based messaging framework using .NET Framework and integrated data presentation method. As the result of test, we confirmed that SOA environment using WCF have more advantages.
Optimal Adjustment of Misestimated Control Model for a Process with Shift and White Noise

Moving average(MA) and exponentially weighted moving average(EWMA) are the two most popular control methods in manufacturing. Both methods are optimized under the assumption that the exact control equation is known. This paper focuses on the problems rising from estimation errors. Based on the accuracy of the estimated parameter and the range of the weight parameter
, the limitations are identified and the performance of methods are evaluated. Optimal adjustment for process shift with misestimated control model and its application control methods to actual process is researched. The efficiency of proposed method is evaluated through simulation.
Adaptive Partitioning of the Global Key Pool Method using Fuzzy Logic for Resilience in Statistical En-Route Filtering

In many sensor network applications, sensor nodes are deployed in open environments, and hence are vulnerable to physical attacks, potentially compromising the node's cryptographic keys. False sensing report can be injected through compromised nodes, which can lead to not only false alarms but also the depletion of limited energy resource in battery powered networks. Fan Ye et al. proposed that statistical en-route filtering scheme(SEF) can do verify the false report during the forwarding process. In this scheme, the choice of a partition value represents a trade off between resilience and energy where the partition value is the total number of partitions which global key pool is divided. If every partition are compromised by an adversary, SEF disables the filtering capability. Also, when an adversary has compromised a very small portion of keys in every partition, the remaining uncompromised keys which take a large portion of the total cannot be used to filter false reports. We propose a fuzzy-based adaptive partitioning method in which a global key pool is adaptively divided into multiple partitions by a fuzzy rule-based system. The fuzzy logic determines a partition value by considering the number of compromised partitions, the energy and density of all nodes. The fuzzy based partition value can conserve energy, while it provides sufficient resilience.
A RFID-based Process Improvement Methodology: Packing Process of Medium size Enterprise

Radio Frequency IDentification(RFID) is in the limelight of fields of military, delivery and library management as an alternative or barcode system. However, it is restricted within product manufacturing, sales and delivery. In this paper, we apply RFID technology into process, especially packing process management to gauge RFID applicability. To verify beneficial features of RFID, we simulate RFID-adopted packing process. As a result, we demonstrate the effectiveness of a RFID-based Process Improvement In manufacturing process. The results of performance evaluations demonstrate that the proposed RFID-based Process Improvement reduces the labour time, labour cost and material cost. Furthermore, we analyze the validity of RFID-based Process Improvement by RFID cost.
WORKGLOW: A P2P-based Web Service Orchestration Supporting Complex Workflow Patterns

Web services are considered as the critical component in the business plans of corporations as they offers the potential for creating highly dynamic and versatile distributed applications that span across business boundaries. Web Service Orchestration studies composition of already-existing web services to create new value-added services. The composite web services could be executed in a centralized or peer-to-peer(P2P) orchestration model. Compared with centralized-orchestration model, the P2P-based orchestration model provides better scalability, reliability, and performance for the overall services. However, recent P2P-orchestration solutions have limitation in supporting complex workflow patterns. Therefore, they could not effectively handle sophisticated business workflow, which contains complex workflow patterns. In this paper, we propose the WORKGLOW system, which can deal with complex workflow patterns while it is able to perform composite services in P2P orchestration manner. Comparing with centralized orchestration systems, the WORKGLOW brings up more business logic advantages, better performance, and higher flexibility with only a little overhead.
