Investigation of the Relationships Among Extrinsic Motivation, Intrinsic Motivation, and Attitude toward Online Community

This study investigates the relationships between extrinsic motivation (perceived usefulness), intrinsic motivation (perceived ease of use and perceived enjoyment), and attitude toward online community. With 252 valid responses, the research hypotheses are tested using by structured equation model. The results show that perceived ease of use affects perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment, that perceived enjoyment has a positive impact on perceived usefulness and attitude toward online community, and that perceived usefulness positively influences attitude toward online community. The study can help IS managers and professionals plan their courses of action more effectively for users' continuous visits on online community.
A Proposal of Combined Iterative Algorithm for Optimal Design of Binary Phase Computer Generated Hologram

In this paper, we proposed a novel algorithm combined simulated annealing and genetic algorithms for designing optimal binary phase computer generated hologram. In the process of genetic algorithm searching by block units, after the crossover and mutation operations, simulated annealing algorithm searching by pixel units is inserted. So, the performance of BPCGH was improved. Computer simulations show that the proposed combined iterative algorithm has better performance than the simulated annealing algorithm in terms of diffraction efficiency
An empirical study on the effect of web purchase suitability varied with consumer characteristics on online purchase intention

This study introduces e-purchase potential matrix and examines whether the Web purchase suitability mediates the effects of the internet consumer characteristics such as diversification, innovativeness, self-realization, and informativity on online purchase intention through an empirical analysis. Specifically, this study investigates whether the Internet consumer characteristics affect the two dimensions differently. The results show that the Web purchase suitability partially mediates the effects of the internet consumer characteristics on online purchase intention.
A study on evaluation of functions of business process management systems using delphi method

Recently, many companies and organizations have interests in 'Business Process Management Systems (BPMS)'. In this research, we surveyed and analyzed the objects and the required functions of BPMS for companies to implement BPMS. The Delphi Method was employed for this research. As a result, the categorization of the objectives and required functions, and weights representing the importance of functions are established. Finally, discussions on the framework to evaluate and select the effective BPMS solutions for each company or organization are proved.
An optimization approach for the optimal control model of human lower extremity musculoskeletal system

The study investigated genetic algorithms for the optimal control model of maximum height vertical jumping. The model includes forward dynamic simulations by the neural excitation-control variables. Convergence of genetic algorithms is very slow. In this paper the micro genetic algorithm(micro-GA) was used to reduce the computation time. Then a near optimal solution from micro-GA was an initial solution for VF02, which is one of well-developed and proven nonlinear programming algorithms. This approach provided the successful optimal solution for maximum-height jumping without a reasonable initial guess.
A Study on the Influences of ERP System Innovation Acceptance Factors on the Innovation Diffusion using the Technology Acceptance Model

This study aims at providing the basis for improving the applicability of ERP system in those companies which plan to introduce it or those which already introduced, but were not able to achieve the intended effect. To this end, this study focused on the empirical study to find innovation acceptance factors effecting innovation diffusion of ERP system intensively and to search the best path of innovation diffusion. Thus, it was known that innovation characteristics factors, percieved ease of use, perceived usefulnessand implementation of ERP system affected innovation diffusion directly or indirectly and there was a significant path helping companies introduce information system successfully.
Samsung SDI's e-Business-based Business Innovation Strategy

Rapidly changing business environment demands proactive management strategies. Display technology market in 21st century of digital economy era is not in exception. Samsung SDI is a manufacturing company which has been producing display related products. This case study investigates how Samsung SDI has been transforming itself from traditional manufacturing firm into a strong net-enabled company. There are several critical success factors to implement e-business systems. First of all, top management has been firmly supporting digital management concept. As the enabling tools, change management and knowledge management activities have been actively executed. In addition, various educational programs were provided to enhance employees' management innovation capabilities. Samsung SDI's efforts resulted in improving process efficiency as well as customer satisfaction, and finally in outstanding financial performance.
Development of the Intelligent Multi-Casting System

This paper develops a multi-casting system could be used in a school and hospital and government and municipal public offices. The developed multi-casting system uses various educational multimedia titles effectively and is capable of remote control by using a network(LAN). The developed system includes speaker control module that make individual or group broadcasting, AV contents control module for using a diverse educational multimedia title effectively and light control module. The system uses RS-485C communication module and the effective control system interface based on GUI.
A Meta-Analysis of Recent Korean Studies on Consumer Trust in Internet Shopping Mall

Through a meta-analytic methodology, this research analyzes and integrates recently published studies in Korea on customer trust in Internet shopping malls. To this end, the trend in the relevant research area is surveyed, and the meta-analytic procedures are applied accordingly. As results of statistical tests, most preceding and following variables of trust are found significant from the integrative point of view. In addition, a necessity for more reliable empirical studies in the area is identified.
A Study on the Management Performance Depends on the Supply Chain Structure

This study develops three dimensions of a supply chain structure (i.e., supply network, conversion network, distribution network) and proposes a balanced scorecard (BSC) model in order to measure management performance. We may conclude that management performance depends on the supply chain structure, and performance of distribution network is better than that of supply and conversion networks based on the result of Scheff multi-comparison.
A study on Quality System Management in Small and Medium Enterprises

Quality system management adapted by small and medium enterprises in Kangwon province to enhance the competitiveness was studied. Variance analysis on several questionnaire answers was performed. Motives for acquiring the accreditation, such as product export, adjustment to international trend, enhancement of brand/product recognition, CEO's mind change, and management innovation, have been changed significantly among business types. Mind changes after the accreditations were setting company's first priority on quality, enhanced recognition on compliance of in-house standards and regulations, employee's performance with the recognition of quality. Amongst service problems to maintain the accreditations were difficulties in maintaining the recognition of the company's quality management, labor increase to maintain the ISO 9000 enforcement team, and financial burden to keep the accreditation. Quality recognition after the accreditations was significantly improved in setting company's first priority on quality, enhanced recognition on compliance of in-house standards and regulations, employee's performance with the recognition of quality.
Data Mining System in the Service Industry : Delphi Study

The use of technology is increasing within the service industry, but there is some doubt as to whether the benefits of employing this technology have been efficiently harnessed such as data mining. Data mining is the process of extracting certain predictive information from databases that can evolve from currently used restaurant management systems. The potential of harnessing this predictive information can have an enormous impact on the restaurant's operation on the whole, particularly in the area customer retention and competition. Since there is insufficient literature on the use of data mining in the restaurant industry, this study is both seminal and investigative, done via a Delphi survey to explore and describe the current and future applications of this process.
