Performance Analysis of Improved Distance-based Location Registration Scheme in Mobility Model

In this paper, we propose a distance-based location registration scheme and evaluate it's performance in a mobility model. We compare performance of the distance-based registration scheme to that of zone-based registration scheme at the mobility model. Numerical results show that the registration load of the distance-based registration with call arrival is similar to that of the zone-based registration, and is equally distributed to all cells in a location area. So the proposed scheme can be effectively used in the limited radio resources.
Congestion Pricing Function of Internet Differentiated Services for Social Benefit

Over the last couple of years, established Cumulus Pricing Scheme(CPS) has become an important research issue for efficiently charging differentiated internet services. This paper proposes the adjusted CPS technique that expressed information of over or under-use of resources in bandwidth. And, 1 propose CPS with respect to the six main pricing and charging conditions. Also, accumulation technique may indicate an information between specified charging and eventually requires to adapt the initial contract. So called red and green Cumulus Points(CP) are used to judge the behavior of customer. At this point, the actual resource consumption is described by function v(t) at time t.
Design and Implementation of an e-NIE Learning Model for Technical High Schools

We consider a Direct Input Output Manufacturing System(DIOMS) which has a munber of machine centers placed along a built-in Automated Storage/Retrieval System(AS/RS). The Storage/Retrieval (S/R) machine handles parts placed on pallets for the operational aspect of DIOMS and determines the optimal operating policy by combining computer simulation and genetic algorithm. The operational problem includes: input sequencing control, dispatching rule of the S/R machine, machine center-based part type selection rule, and storage assignment policy. For each operating policy, several different policies are considered based on the known research results. In this paper, using the computer simulation and genetic algorithm we suggest a method which gives the optimal configuration of operating policies within reasonable computation time.
Relative Effects of Service Quality and Trust on Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty for Online Shopping Malls

Every online shopping mall is concerned about service quality and trust issues. We analyze and compare the impacts of service quality and trust on customer satisfaction and loyalty. In addition, we investigate service quality and trust attributes and their effects on overall service quality and trust. The results unveil that, in our e-business setting, overall trust has more powerful leverage than overall service quality.
Quality Assurance of Repeatability for the Vertical Multiple Dynamic Systems in Indirect Adaptive Decentralized Learning Control based Error wave Propagation

The learning control develops controllers that learn to improve their performance at executing a given task, based on experience performing this specific task. In a previous work the authors presented an iterative precision of linear decentralized learning control based on p-integrated teaming method for the vertical dynamic multiple systems. This paper develops an indirect decentralized learning control based on adaptive control method. The original motivation of the loaming control field was learning in robots doing repetitive tasks such as on a]1 assembly line. This paper starts with decentralized discrete time systems, and progresses to the robot application, modeling the robot as a time varying linear system in the neighborhood of the nominal trajectory, and using the usual robot controllers that are decentralized, treating each link as if it is independent of any coupling with other links. Error wave propagation method will show up in the numerical simulation for five-bar linkage as a vertical dynamic robot. The methods of learning system are shown up for the iterative precision of each link at each time step in repetition domain. Those can be helped to apply to the vertical multiple dynamic systems for precision quality assurance in the industrial robots and medical equipments.
Power and Location Information based Routing Protocol Design in Wireless Sensor Networks

In recent years, wireless sensor networks(WSNs) have emerged as a new fast-growing application domain for wireless distributed computing and embedded systems. Recent Progress in computer and communication technology has made it possible to organize wireless sensor networks composed tiny sensor nodes. Furthermore, ad-hoc network protocols do not consider the characteristics of wireless sensor nodes, making existing ad-hoc network protocols unsuitable for the wireless sensor networks. First, we propose power-aware routing protocols based on energy-centered routing metrics. Second, we describe power management techniques for wireless sensor nodes using the spatial locality of sensed data. Many nodes can go into a power-down mode without sacrificing the accuracy of sensed data. Finally, combining the proposed techniques, we describe an overall energy-efficient protocol for data collection. Experimental results show that the proposed routing protocol can extend the routing path lifetime more than twice. The average energy consumption per sensing period is reduced by up to 30%.
Implementation of Mobile Web Server Log Analyzer

If web server occurs my fault, log file is important information to find out occurred error. The web server analyzer plays a vital role in improving the web service quality by analyzing log files stores in the web server. But, most conventional web server analysis programs are provided over wired networks, there are problems to be dealt with in terms of time-space restrictions and mobility. In order to solve above problem, this paper represent web server analyser based mobile. In case web server manager based mobile, it can immediately know recent log information accessing real-rime as also anytime, anywhere.
Image Analysis of Korean Automobiles Using Sensory Engineering

This paper is concerned with analyzing the images of Korean automobiles using, so called, sensory engineering, which adapts the sensory and subjective assessment of human beings in evaluating the quality of product. The methodology of analysis is suggested in this paper according to the following steps. First, 14 pairs of adjectives, which describe the image of object cars in view of the semantic differential method, are derived from consulting with several expert panels. Nextly, factor analysis is performed in order to obtain the axises, by which the images space of the object automobiles are specified, and then the images of the object automobiles are measured by the coordinate of all the object automobiles in the image space. In this paper, a sensory estimation experiment is performed to a panel consisting with In undergraduate students residing in the region of Daegu. From the result of analysis of this paper, target images, which the automobile manufacturers are intended, are achieved by and large except one company.
A Study on the Development of Pattern Design Tool for CCFL Backlight

As the portable information appliance is developed, the demand of flat panel display equipments and parts are steeply increased. Most of all, the applications of LCD such as LCD TV, monitor, digital camera, CNS(car navigation system) and game machine become diversified. With the result that the number of BLU production enterprise is increased and the research on the design of backlight with the superior optical properties is persistently in progress. In this study we developed the pattern design tools for CCFL(cold cathode flourescent lamp) backlight to improve the conventional pattern design environment in which the pattern is designed manually from the experience and the trial and error. For the verification of our research, we designed the light reflection surface patterns for a real model of backlight and we measured the brightness uniformity using the BM-7. From the brightness uniformity measurement, the BLU designed using the presented tool showed the tolerable performance only in the first try of pattern design rather than the fifth try of pattern design in case of the conventional pattern design.
An Empirical Study on the Effect of Informatization of Small and Medium Manufacturers on Business Performance

From the mid 1990's, the scale of IS had been growing, which resulted in increasing number of failure projects. As a result, the measurement of IS performance was a growing concern. Moreover, the need for research on the relation between IT investment and performance that isfd the concern of CEOs has been raised. In this study, the correlation between the IS functionality and investment was discovered based on the IS success model suggested by DeLone & McLean(1992), a business information system evaluation model by Lee Kuk Hie(1992), a balanced score card by Kaplan & Norton(1992). As a result of the LISREL analysis, the investment in the IS has a positive impact on the quality of both information systems and information. In turn, the quality of both information systems and information have a positive impact on the end-user satisfaction, the end-user satisfaction on the financial performance, customer satisfaction, and internal business processes. This study showed that sufficient investment in IS improved business performance
Development of portable Merchandise Information Providing System Using RFID

Recent development of Information Technology, the ubiquitous computing environment is on the rise. At the same time, RFID technology and its related applications are actively investigated. In this paper, a portable merchandise information providing system using cheap wireless transmission module is developed in order to overcome the mobility limitation of the wired RFID system. The TRF6901 chipset of 900MHz band from TI is used for the wireless transmission module and the MPS430F149 is used for the MPU. It is expected that the developed system can be applied to numerous innovative wireless applications such as library circulation desk for lending service and automated door system for entrance control.
An Empirical Study on Establishing a SIS for the Efficiency of SCM: Based on Power Process Perspective

This study suggests the effective approach that successfully establishes the supply chain management(SCM) system as a strategic weapon. To do so, the study conducted an empirical investigation which consisted of the five elements of power process, such as power element, needs, value, environment, relationship, strategic types of SCM, and the manufacturing performance. The results showed that the strategic type of SCM with active power process had higher manufacturing performance than other strategic types of SCM.
