Woo, Won-Taek ;
Journal of the Korea Industrial Information Systems Research, volume 11, issue 5, 2006, Pages 37~52
XML architecture is important to wireless or wired presentation. It is also important for data exchange between businesses. XML forces the separation of content from style and gives wired or wireless devices flexibility for interpretation. Separation of content, style, and logic is key to advanced architecture. XML can be exchanged among databases on multiple systems with presentation on wired or wireless devices. An XML schema might need to be defined, or an established DTD might need to be transformed to access a relational database on the server. The purpose of this study is to generate XML documents such as DTD, XML schema, RDB mapping using Tagfree's XML developer tools in order to experience whole processes mentioned above. Overall understanding of data structures of and database processing with XML documents, which is essential to XML programming and database processing, can be accomplished with this study without much endeavor to learn complex XML syntax. The future study can be extended on the subject of web programming with DOM or SAX API.

Park, Ki-Nam ;
Journal of the Korea Industrial Information Systems Research, volume 11, issue 5, 2006, Pages 53~61
We propose public-oriented e-Marketplace framework construction that activates efficiently transaction of non-metal industrial resources through the case of Mineralland. The firms of Non-metal industrial resources domain have low information level and weak capital structure. So public enterprise has to construct e-marketplace to trade using exact market information. This framework consists of five domains-contents, commerces, communities, collaboration and electronic authentication. To draw this framework, we review many web-sites and literatures about B2B of industrial resources domain. In addition, this study provides practical implications and guidelines for activating public oriented e-Marketplace of non metal industrial resources.

Journal of the Korea Industrial Information Systems Research, volume 11, issue 5, 2006, Pages 67~77
According to increasing activities in the cyberspace, various on-line services through the Internet have been offered, and many recent studies on the Internet services such as instant messenger, game, and portal site have been performed to evaluate quality of these services. However researches on weblog(blog), a personal online journal for general public consumption, have not been performed much yet. Therefore, we have conducted an empirical study on investigating the structural relationships among weblog service quality, satisfaction and loyalty in this study. After reviewing the related literatures, we have suggested a model for evaluating the service quality of weblog, wb-SERVQUAL(weblog-SERVQUAL), by modifying the conventional SERVQUAL model based on characteristics of weblog. Structural Equation Model(SEM) has been used to analyze the structural relationships among service quality of weblog, user satisfaction and customer loyalty. Managerial implications are also suggested for managing the weblog sites in conclusion.

Liu, Yi-wen ; Kwon, Young-Jik ;
Journal of the Korea Industrial Information Systems Research, volume 11, issue 5, 2006, Pages 119~131
This paper proposes a mathematical model for web site service quality evaluation, which first applies analytic hierarchy process(AHP) to determine the weights of evaluation indexes of web site service quality and then analyzes web site service synthetically by means of fuzzy methodology. In this case, experts' knowledge cannot only be used but its subjective component can be eliminated. Hence, the web site service quality can be analyzed and evaluated more reasonably. After establishing this model, the experiment results will be given, which verify the feasibility and validity of the proposed model. The model proposed here is very simple and easy to implement and can provide a useful way to help developers evaluate their web site service quality efficiently.

Kim, Sun-Kyung ;
Journal of the Korea Industrial Information Systems Research, volume 11, issue 5, 2006, Pages 163~169
In order to use parallel computers in specific applications, algorithms need to be developed and mapped onto parallel computer architectures. Main memory access for shared memory system or global communication in message passing system deteriorate the computation speed. In this paper, it is found that the m-step generalization of the block Lanczos method enhances parallel properties by forming in simultaneous search direction vector blocks. QR factorization, which lowers the speed on parallel computers, is not necessary in the m-step block Lanczos method. The m-step method has the minimized synchronization points, which resulted in the minimized global communications and main memory access compared to the standard methods.

Son, Dal-Ho ; Hong, Duck-Hoon ;
Journal of the Korea Industrial Information Systems Research, volume 11, issue 5, 2006, Pages 236~244
Many attempts have been made to track the web usage patterns and provide suggestions that might help web operators get the information they need. These tracking mechanisms rely on mining web log files for usage patterns. The purpose of this study is to verify a web agent prototype that was built for mining web log files. The web agent for this paper was made by Java and ASP and the agent came into being as part of a cookie for a short-term data storage. For long-term data storage, the agent used a My-SQL as a Data Base. This agent system could inform that if the data comes from the web data mining agent, it could be a rapid information providing method rather than the case of data coming into a data mining tool. Therefore, the developed tool in this study will be helpful as a new kind of decision making system and expert system.
